-so! my nerdy side decided to write some things for now ?also I noticed the lack of comments on most posts? I would reallllly like for nerdy side of tumbler to join me on this journey :)

NUMBER 1: Harry's sudden ability to sense magic

we are first introduced to it when V blinds harry, after showing him the stars and the sky (im pretty sure V is a astrophile at this point) and harry feels Narcissa’s magic ‘’…felt…indigo, It was a subtle shift, a gentle one. apprehensive and…concerned. ‘’

and so it begins! harry is able to sesnse no only magic from there but recognize emotions through it as well. And his newfound ability is something omnipresent that helps both us-the reader- and harry himself to understand more.

let the quastions begin:

1-when did this magic lens come to be?

At first I though it was becuse of the new eyes V gives him and was something intended, but NO! story tells us that the blindness was a temporary result of the red eyes. basied on Narcissa’s comment on harry’s eyes. ‘’…they were just like your mother’s ’’ his eyes were indeed red, even while he was blind. (we also saw it from Vs eyes)

however…did his eyes transform to red the secend he was blinded? or did this happen -inbetwen/the same time- as one of the gifts ? As Narcissa’s first reaction to harry opening his eyes seemed like an over reaction to me if his eyes weren’t bloodied, and only difference was a red iris instead of a green one?

but but but ! while it came to be the same time as the whole blind era, that dosent seem to be the only factor here since its quite obvious that Lord Voldemort himself doesn’t have that power… 2- so if its somehow related to the eyes, why tf doesnt Voldemort have that power??? while I can bring hundreds of references, its crystal clear that V can’t sesnse shit like harry does, like how he can’t find him when has closed his eyes + under the invisibility cloak and many other times which im to lazy to go and find rn lol.

but honestly why tf dosen’t V have it? its quite the mystery!

while it removed the need for glasses and gave harry perfect vision, there hasn’t been anything mentioned bout a super vision? no being able to see extra details ? nought nil nada nothing?? and most ppl have perfect vision TR included???

why would tom riddle go through a very complex ritual just to have…like 0.5 point more vision? with nothing additional ? no extra sensing magic free on the house? thats kinda odd…

side note worth mentioning here: so we know V couldn't change his eyes, even with harry’s soul. And we all know what he promised harry in case he tapped into their connection without permission…GIVING HARRY HIS EYES BACK WHICH HE CAN’T!!!…ehem so something somthing something? EHEM assassination? or elixir overdose? leads to something something which makes V tap into that to save harry? so many possibilities AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

7. Taemin – ‘Advice’

Watching Taemin evolve is akin to watching a tiger hunt. Best bit: Exactly 58 seconds into the song, at the height of the chorus, where the piano and the staccato drums intermingle as Taemin’s falsetto declares: “Best take my own advice.” *Siri, how do I tattoo this particular emotion onto myself?*.

3. Key – ‘Bad Love’

There’s always something exciting, almost primal, about watching someone be unabashedly themselves. It leaves one a little breathless and completely blinded, as if going through a transformation worth lifetimes in the course of a song. Key’s ‘Bad Love’ is a religious experience on similar levels, primarily because it’s so beautifully, unapologetically, liberally him that you can almost taste his life experience, his thoughts, his likes and dislikes on your tongue.

Over the course of 2020, we saw multiple variations of retro throughout K-pop, but if there was someone who truly understood that era, it was Key – even if the song came a whole year after the throwback renaissance. Among the fascinatingly morbid pink, goopy aliens and PVC space suits, the deconstructed jackets and the David Bowie-inspired look, the booming vocals and the atmospheric synthwave-influence, Key becomes himself and blooms. This may not be his first rodeo, but man is this his most honest one. TR

BLITZWING ( Leader) Generations LEGACY EVOLUTION

E con un annetto di ritardo ho infine recuperato pure il famigerato Leader BLITZWING, grazie alla sua reiterazione in Evolution dopo il suo esordio in Legacy, preso appunto senza tanta fretta dato che non sono affatto un fan dei cosiddetti Voyager pompati a Leader, ma il qui presente Triplex 2 è pur sempre uno dei miei Transformers preferiti sin dall'infanzia, e quindi ho approfittato della prima offerta disponibile per accappararmelo senza pentirmene troppo.

Che uno poi, magari, si aspetta appunto parecchia qualità da un Voyager pagato ( quasi ) quanto un Leader, e ari magari spera che i passi falsi fatti con il collega Astrotrain in Siege siano stati di lezione, e invece si parte subito con un meh! guardando il CARRARMATO sfigurato frontalmente dalla cabina di pilotaggio mozzata della modalità jet.

E no, onestamente il fatto che "sia così pure nel cartone" non lo giustifica per nulla, che se proprio dobbiamo fare i precisini, almeno in tv quel particolare lì era appena accennato e coperto da un pannello, nonostante fosse un cavolo di errore mostrare quella come la parte anteriore del tank laddove nel giocattolo era quella posteriore.

Ma appunto qui pare quasi che ci prendano in giro, con le parti laterali del carrarmato scolpite come se fossero quelle del reale muso del giocattolo, con tanto di sagoma degli alettoni laterali ripiegati, ma poi in mezzo hanno messo la cabina mozza PER FEDELTA' AI CARTONI, con questa pure bella pronunciata in avanti di quasi più di mezzo centrimetro! ^^''

E manco, volendo, avrebbe senso ruotarlo, dato che dall'altra parte ci sono i due reattori del jet in bella vista e sempre anch'essi ben pronunciati all'infuori!!

Davvero un peccato, insomma, che sennò il tank non sarebbe così male, nel suo essere però con design generico e con un paio di pannelli viola ai lati e uno sotto la torretta, questi anche tollerabili, dai.

Oh certo, per carità, manco il tank della precedente versione Generations, il Titans Return, era perfetto, con lo spazio sempre nel muso e le ali adagiate nella parte posteriore, ma, EHM EHM, quello era "solo" un Voyager, appunto, e questo sarebbe un LEADER, ed ad essere buoni magari bastava che quella cacchio di cabina mozzata ALMENO non fosse così pronunciata e la si potesse far arretrare all'interno!! ^^''

Per il resto, il carrarmato ha tre fori per armi per lato, uno sulla torretta, che ruota, e la canna di questa si può alzare, anche se a scatti di 45°. Nei fori ai lati possono sistermarsi i fucili gemelli, così come la spada del robot, anche se sarebbe stato interessante invece nasconderla nel tank, mentre ai lati delle torretta si possono aggiungere le due batterie di missili che sarebbero la "marcia in più" per aggiungere un po' di massa ed arrivare alla quota Leader, ma a guardarli si sente davvero la mancanza del vagone / rampa di lancio che invece avevano appioppato al Triplex 1 Siege! ^^'

Seguiamo le istruzioni e andiamo quindi alla TRASFORMAZIONE in robot, che si ispira al G1 ovviamente ma prende spunto più dal precedente TR, con i cingoli che si ripiegano verso avanti / il torso, esibendo delle ali farlocche con quelle vere che sono parte delle gambe - che anche qui si allungano - ed i due reattori si aprono in due a diventare piede e tallone, le braccia sono quasi belle che pronte e quella cavolo di punta mozza si ribalta rivelando la testa, mentre un ulteriore pannello, che era prima sotto la torretta, va a coprire e diventa l'effettivo petto.

Ed a vedere il ROBOT un po' ci si dimentica delle magagne del carrarmato di più sopra, dato che è davvero un bel colpo al cuore nella sua somiglianza all'inconografia G1 classica, dopo tutte le numerose precedenti varianti che un po' reiventavano il look del nostro Triplex 2.

Di sicuro però manco lui è sputato a come appariva in tv, conveniendo prendere ispirazione anche dal giocattolo originale, dato che nel settei quella volta si presero delle libertà niente male, dovendo disegnarlo dal modellino senza foto di riferimento del retro, col risultato di avere un jetpack al posto della torretta del tank sulla schiena e la canna di questa attaccata alla nuca!

Il Legacy quindi non si risparmia a citare il giocattolo G1 che non il settei dei cartoni, come nei dettagli sul petto e bacino, o anche nella canna del cannone accorciata ( ribaltata all'interno della torreta ), piuttosto che non lasciata allungata, ma anche in piccolezze come il simbolo di fazione nella parte alta del petto piuttosto che non più verso lo stomaco, per dire.

Nonostante sia "solo" alto quanto un Seeker Generations, come da giusta scala, è assai massiccio, grazie anche alla zainata sulle spalle, ed appare più robusto del collega Astrotrain, anche se pure lui è alto uguale. Infatti Blitzy nudo pesa quei 20 grammi in più dei 185 di 'Train, ma questo grazie agli accessori in più arriva quasi al peso di un altro bel Leader bello corposo come Megatron Tm2 BW sui 300, ma T-2 invece si ferma a soli 250 con quello che gli hanno appioppato.

E vediamo quindi meglio la robba in più che si ritrova per cercare di arrivare invano alla massa di un degno Leader, ovvero la summenzionata SPADA col particolarissimo design ma con la lama argentata invece che viola o sfumature di questo, e come detto ben due versioni uguali del classico FUCILE, non male grazie alle doppie spine laterali.

Infine abbiamo le due batterie di missili cubiche che si scompongono diventando delle MANI a 6 dita con avambraccioni da far indossare al robot: l'idea, per quanto inedita e senza riferimenti a citazioni o che, non sarebbe neanche così male, ma le batterie nel tank sono enormi e posticce, e le manone POTREBBERO essere interessanti, se non fossero con 6 dita anonime che possono alzare sole le 4 dita unite.

Se invece di sta poracciata facevano delle bocche di fuoco che diventavano CINQUE dita tutte abbastanza snodate, il risultato sarebbe stato più accattivante, piuttosto che questa roba approssimativa ed incompiuta, visto che anche per Astrotrain si sono sforzati a fare qualcosa di assai più giocabile e soddisfacente.

Chiudiamo sul robot dicendo che almeno lui ha i polsi che ruotano, oltre alla solita media di articolazioni post WfC, pure la testa ha parecchio snodo per guardare verso l'alto, e ci sono ovviamente i soliti fori per armi sparsi nei soliti posti, idem i due braccioni che hanno un foro su mano e avambraccio, ma ironicamente fanno pure fatica a stare attaccati alle mani del nostro. ^^''

La TRASFORMAZIONE in jet del nostro è anche qui interessante, con il pannello del petto che si solleva e torna dietro la schiena, la testa che rientra facendo riemergere il cockpit ( fra l'altro, ci sono DUE cabine di pilotaggio, una per il jet e una sotto per il tank!! ^^'' ) da cui si estrae anche la punta effettiva del muso. Come accenato sopra, interessante è vedere le effettive ali del velivolo dispiegarsi dalle gambe che si accorciano, così le braccia che slittano verso queste.

Il problema però che rovina la seconda modalità di CACCIA DA COMBATTIMENTO, aggiungendosi al tank già non perfetto, è tutto il modulo dei cingoli ripiegati sotto i già presenti moduli delle braccia sotto le ali, che appesantiscono parecchio un jet che non risulta manco così longilineo.

E va bene che, ok, RISULTA FEDELE sia al giocattolo originale che al conseguente settei del cartone, ma ribadiamo che questo sarebbe pur sempre un Leader, quindi davvero non sono riusciti a ridigere meglio la massa dei cingoli per rendere il jet più grande e meno goffo? Un po' come hanno fatto nel Titans Return, insomma. ^^'

Sempre con la scusa della somiglianza vengono traquillamente saltati pure gli alettoni posteriori orizzontali, che nella trasposizione nel settei se ne erano dimenticati ed appariva così anche in tv, e quindi non sia mai che correggano la cosa, magari! :D

Ribadendo che sì, sarebbe perdonabile un jet un po' goffo, viste le premesse del triple changer e volendo somigliare al settei, ma sempre tenendo conto che è pur sempre un Leader da 60 euro con solo un paio di manone in più, il risultato è davvero scarso, ed a paragone si rimpiange decisamente il lavoro criticato a suo tempo su Astrotrain.

A proposito delle manone, qui per il jet diventano due ingombranti propulsoroni da mettere dietro i razzi effettivi, parecchio pacchiani così come erano le batterie del tank, quindi sorvoliamo, e parliamo dei due fucili che sotto le ali simulano i missili del giocattolo originale, almeno, mentre anche qui per la spada non c'è una posizione ufficiale o decente dove sistemarla, nascondendola giocoforza sotto al mezzo tramite uno dei fori inferiori.

Certo, c'è il carrello anteriore retrattile, anche se è praticamente piazzato a metà del jet che non sotto il muso, ed il jet è parecchio viola in proporzione, ma pare davvero tozzo e piccolo, e poco imponente insomma: a sto punto era meglio se lo facevano più grande complessivamente,scazzando un po' le scale del robot forse, ma almeno forse la massa si sarebbe ridistribuita meglio.

Infine, un bel robot con belle trasformazioni ma con alt mode con pugni sugli occhi un po' troppo in vista per la classe per cui è venduto, quasi un passo indietro rispetto al Voyager TR precedente: chi ha questo se lo tenga stretto, direi, che quest'ultimo Blitzwing ha senso solo se esposto come robot, ma è davvero svilente per un triplechanger, per nulla addolcita dalla scarsa giocabilità degli accessori aggiuntivi. Visto l'andazzo, mi tremano le gambe al pensiero della sorte che potrebbe capitare agli annunciati Springer e Sandstorm, sempre Leader e forse pure loro sprecati come questo Triplex 2.

SQUEEZEPLAY ( Deluxe ) Generations LEGACY UNITED

FINALMENTE ogni tanto, in questo marasma Generations di personaggi semi recenti o soliti noti visti e rivisti, compaiono bot sinora inediti della G1, come l'Headmaster "Junior" SQUEEZEPLAY, più noto da noi per essere il CANCER / Prudox ( sic ) di Masterforce.

Non è il primo però dei 3 Decepticon Headmaster del 1988 ad essere riproposto, dato che qualche anno fa ad aprire le danze fu Fangry, remold esteso del Doublecross Titans Return vigliaccamente allegato però in un 4-pack in mezzo ad altri repaint ridondanti. E stessa sorte capita a Cancer, ora, solo che ALMENO questi 4-pack non sono più così esclusivi per noi europei ed in mezzo c'è almeno un altro remold non così banale come Cliffjumper Prime, ma di questo parlerò nella sua sede dedicata.

Il ROBOT si presenta davvero bene, antropomorfo e non goffo come il G1, e pure lui è uno stampo già visto, ovvero quello del TR Mindwipe, ma le parti in comune sono davvero pochissime, ovvero le cosce, il bacino, pugni, bicipiti e spalle, e le basi che sostengono i kibble sulla schiena. Oltre alle parti nuove dedicate al personaggio, a colpire sin dal giocattolo originale è la colorazione, con un torso e pugni blu, arti grigi e stinchi e testa viola.

Il Legacy qui si permette inoltre qualche altro tocco cromatico per arricchire la miscela, con bicipiti, bacino, ginocchia e ora pure i pugni neri. La posabilità è la stessa di Mindwipe, ovviamente, con in più la possibilità di "chiudere" piedi e talloni, per via della trasformazione.

Il G1 era a suo modo affascinante, sopratutto per la modalità alternativa, ma questa nel robot era un po' ingombrante, con le zampe posteriori dietro la schiena lanciate verso l'altro ed il muso mostruoso che pendeva dal sedere: nel Deluxe Generations invece ci sono ancora le zampe, ma sono solo messe come richiamo estetico all'iconografia dell'originale, mentre la testa del mostro è ancora un po' ingombrante ma almeno ora può stare sulla schiena.

Come accessori abbiamo la coda del mostro come una sorta di scudo da avambraccio, mentre invece del classico fucile ( che potevano comunque ricavare lo stesso da quello di Pipistrello TR ) abbiamo pistola terrestre in scala per il robot sulle fattezze del Diaclone Browning, citazione del fatto che in Masterforce il suo corrispettivo umano Cancer aveva proprio Browning come robottino da compagnia!!

Infatti anche il design della testa si potrebbe basare più su quello della versione giapponese del personaggio visto in Masterforce, per quanto fedele al giocattolo, eh, ma più che altro perchè durante Titans Return è uscito tale Crashbash che era effettivamente un omaggio a Squeezeplay ma con un design della testa meno "neutro" e più quasi diabolico!

E no, non si ispira alla versione dei media occidentali, dato che nel Transformers Universe SQ gli hanno dato una testa ben più banale e con un visore sugli occhi!! ^^''

Quindi, quella uscita come Crashbash è la variante più occidentale, volendo, di Squeezeplay, mentre l'intero Legacy omaggia più il Cancer di Masterforce, sia per la pistola che per le fattezze del Titan Master Lokos, basate proprio sul pilota Headmaster Jr del cartone orientale.

Finita questa disanima, passiamo alla TRASFORMAZIONE, un po' diversa dall'originale, dato che qui le braccia non si chiudono a guscio frontalmente per divenire la schiena, ma invece diventano le zampine posteriori, alla stessa maniera del pipistrello di Mindwipe, mentre quelle sulla schiena sono meri orpelli che vanno ruotati in avanti, non prima di aver aperto il torso verso l'alto ed averci attaccato lo scudo / coda viola. Le gambe anche qui diventano le zampe anteriori mentre il testone si posiziona sopra le spalle di esse.

Sulla carta, ovvero nei disegni di fumetti e cartoni, questo MOSTRO GRANCHIOIDE ANTROPOMORFO è una figata. Punto. Nella realtà del giocattolo G1 il nostro era un po' goffo con le chele puntate frontalmente e la posa delle gambe semi accovacciata. Al contrario dell'ottimo robot, il mostro meccanico Legacy non migliora tutto esponenzialmente rispetto all'originale, dato che sì, ora le braccia sono ben più mobili ma con le chele che si aprono solo orizzontalmente, la calotta dietro la testa è un po' distaccata dal corpo e forse un po' troppo ampia, facendola sembrare più la testa di un cobra, manca totalmente il "guscio" sulla schiena viola ( formato nel G1 dalle braccia racchiuse ), e le zampe posteriori sono ora forse un bel po' troppo corte.

Guai a sistemarle tutte sotto il corpo, Primus ce ne scampi, che sarebbe così ancor più ridicolo! Bisogna quindi lasciarle a mio avviso un po' divaricate, anche a sto punto la forma ottimale era renderle come le INTERE braccia e non solo a metà ripiegate, che così andavano bene per il pipistrello di Mindwipe! ^^'

Anche per il guscio sulla schiena, basta rendere la coda / scudo con un pannello in più pieghevole, et voilà, tutto risolto. E anche la testa, magari un po' più avanti con il semiguscio della nuca più aderente avrebbe giocavato alla posa. Per il resto alla fine è ok, con lo sportello apribile frontalmente sul torso per ospitare il pilota Lokos, ed alla fine l'occhio si abitua a questo mostro, ma è un po' peccato che da popò di robot ci si trovi con un alt mode non riuscitissimo, anche se si apprezza tutti i cambiamenti fatti dallo stampo di Mindwipe.

Infine, ancora peccato per il mostro non pienamente riuscito, ma il robot è davvero bello ed è un'ottima aggiunta alla collezione di Decepticon Generations G1, ma ancora peccato perchè per averlo bisogna acquistarlo insieme ad altri 3 repaint, magari per qualcuno un po' ridondanti, purtroppo! ^^''
