1. Which 2 charities or organizations do you consider especially noble? 

Planned Parenthood and HIPS. Both strive to create a sense of safety and support for  not only women, but people in an area of health and safety that is SO vital and yet so underfunded and undervalued. Because people's bodies should be protected and everyone should have the means to do so.

2. What is your happiest memory?

Gosh.

3. What was your dream job as a kid? Did you pursue it?

I think we all have a plethora of dream jobs as a kid. At least those of us privileged enough to think that we have the option to follow a dream. Mine were teacher, doctor (well pediatrician), marine biologist, author, and warrior princess. I am working to become a licensed Prek-Grade 3 teacher, so yes. I am currently working at a preschool so I see my fair share of bodily fluids and sicknesses from the 2-3 year olds I teach so I think pediatrics got in there a bit lol I still love marine animals, but don't actively study them. I worked at a literary journal during undergrad so there is a bit of that. And warrior princess, hell yeah I pursue that every day! Don't we all?

4. If you could be anywhere at this exact moment, where would you like to be?  Is this your favorite place? (Caveat: Can be a fictional place)

My rock, in New Jersey. It was this huge rock on the corner of a path about a mile from our house. It was big enough to sit on, lay on, just huge. My mom and I used to stop at the rock on our walks down the path. And a few times we even had a picnic on the rock. It just represents warmth and serenity for me.

5. Have you ever had an experience that has made you consider the existence of life after death? If yes, please share! 

Yes. 1) In third grade one day I went into my bedroom. It was colder than usual and I went to get a hoodie from a drawer. When I turned towards the dresser I saw two violet eyes against my wall looking at me. I looked away, and turned back and it was gone. 2) In middle school I was having a stressful time and I had a panic attack in the middle of Target. Two mintutes into the attack I felt a sudden calmness, and I heard my name. I turned toward the sound, expecting to see my mother returning from whichever aisle she was in but she wasn't there. And for a split second I saw my maternal grandfather out of the corner of my eye.

6. Who has had the greatest impact on your life? Why? (Caveat: can name up to three people)

My parents (I count them as one unit), Robby, and my grandmother. Maybe that is boring, but it's true.

7. When is your “bed time”? 

Ha! My body doesn't understand that the night is for sleeping. I think it naturally wants to go to sleep when the sun comes up. I'm part bat.

8. What is one piece of art that has impacted you? Can be any form of art (graphic, written, film/video, song, dance…)

9. Who is your favorite fictional character? Why?

See above. Do you want an essay? Self-sufficient, independent, kind, spunky, unconventional, madly in love but doesn't let her feelings get in the way of her principles, strong yet compassionate even when she has been abused and devalued all of her life, bravery, resilience, etc etc etc  For a novel published in 1847, she is still a heroine and somebody to admire today.

10. What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?

I haven't taken it yet.

11. Who is your favorite classic Universal Monster?

Oooh. Hmmm, probably either The Phantom of the Opera or The Invisible Man. Something about disfigurement or how people perceive you making you an "monster", I suppose?
