I've been working on her for a WHILE (like, october 25th) but I'm happy to introduce a new egg oc (of debatable canonical-ness lmao)

Buttercup! the totally not eggnapped child of Ms. Lion and Mr. Wolf!

Her design came to me in a vision, and with the help of the wonderful @semifontos , this kid was made.

I'll talk about her story + some more doodles beneath the cut but I hope you all enjoy the wonderful baby Buttercup!

So I've established what the counselors' jobs are, right? They take care of eggs still in testing? In this particular instance (of debatable canon), Ms. Lion saw that in the current batch of eggs, there was a runt. Just a tiny little thing, small enough to fit in her paw. She knew that the egg wouldn't be able to survive testing for long, so what better option is there than going against everything you know, abandoning your job and your safety, and kidnapping a baby! In trope-y fashion though, She goes to Mr. Wolf's door saying she didn't have anywhere else to go. I was going to make a comic of this but I don't feel like it now >:P. Now Ms. Lion and Mr. Wolf are doing their very best to care for an actual newborn while on the run from the Federation (and their own feelings for one another)

She's got this permanent squinty angry baby face for now. Like a husky with eyebrows. Despite her moody appearance though she's a very sweet baby that spends most of her time around strangers hidden behind her parent's legs.

She's bald for now, because she's a runt baby. Plus if I didn't get hair until I was 3 then neither does she :P

When she DOES get hair though, it'll resemble her Dad's fur more than her Mom's. That design isn't exactly final but her hair is a weird texture atm. Very untamable, like a puppy transitioning into adult fur.

Harry is the one who genuinely believes Meghan needs Diana-level security. He's the one with paranoia and an inferiority/competition complex against William. Meghan, in my opinion, feeds into it.

It reminds me of a movie I watched a while ago, Wicked Little Letters with Olivia Colman and Jessy Buckley. It's 1920s England (so you know, a proper society of faint-hearted women) and Olivia's character suddenly starts receiving rude, harrassing, profane letters. Everyone suspects the new neighbor, Jessy's character, an Irish migrant new to town because she is foul-mouthed. They investigate and, well, what do you know, Olivia's sending the letters to herself.

I kinda feel like that's what is happening with the Sussexes. Now, I do believe that Meghan is (or was) getting hate mail and I do believe that there are legitimate threats/risks out there. But I don't believe they're really that serious because if they were, then the RAVEC threat assessment would be a little different and/or she'd be the one pushing the matter in public court of opinion. So what could be happening is Meghan - who we know is chronically online and can't help but to read comments/DMs everywhere - is cherrypicking specific messages or threats to show Harry to rile him up and fight this security battle for her.

I do realize that's a pretty nefarious theory to suggest, especially since my preference is always to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But nothing about this makes sense. When Meghan really did feel genuinely threatened, she was the one complaining and she was the one making noise. That's not happening here. But yet Harry believes there are threats against her and their children. So clearly there's some kind of provocation going on.

Because that's the other thing too that doesn't make sense. As much as Meghan has made "mama bear" her new brand, she doesn't seem to acknowledge the threats against her children. If someone's brand is "mama bear," then you'd think they'd be out there advocating for their children's safety. But she isn't. It's Harry doing that. So either there are no more risks/threats to Archie and Lili than any other child has or Meghan doesn't care.

Anyway.

What changed? Public opinion.

Ipsos did a poll in April 2024 of the British Royal Family. The poll included favorability questions about Harry and Meghan. Here are their favorability results over time.

In October 2022, Harry's favorability was 40% and his unfavorability was 30ish%. As you can see in the chart, that was the first time since pre-Megxit that Harry was liked more than he was disliked.

By April 2024, everything had flipped. His favorability was 31% and his unfavorability was 46%. The flip looks like it started in December 2022/January 2023 - the Netflix docuseries and Spare's publication.

Now let's look at Meghan's polling.

In October 2022, Meghan was at 45% unfavorable and 30% favorable. A year and a half later in April 2024, public opinion is worse; 53% unfavorable, 35% favorable.

So long story short, worsening public opinion means a greater propensity for an unfavorable public response. Like booing or throwing bread rolls/rotten fruit or angry op-eds or people turning their backs to her or refusing to shake her hand. That's why Meghan is refusing to go to Birmingham. That's why she's demanding Diana-level security. She wants the enormous security presence to intimidate crowds into accepting her, or at least being silenced from vocally rejecting her.

Ladies, Gentleman, and All Other Colors, I present to thee: Deltarune Parallels

So about a week ago, I put out a poll asking when I should reveal this little project of mine, and with an overwhelming 2 votes the people said I should release now, so I am pleased to announce the existence of the one and only

(It's currently in a very early stage, so not everything is fleshed out, but here's what I have so far)

Parallels is a little side project of mine which takes the current deltarune world, and focuses on a different cast.

The Human: Terro

Terro is an adventurous person. They're often very quiet while in public, but completely change when alone or with friends, becoming drastically more social and friendly.

The Monster: Ruby

Ruby is a jack of all trades when it comes to knowledge. If you have a question about just about anything, she probably at least knows where to guide you for answers. Above all else however, she loves gardening and nature

The Neighbor: Jack

Jack is a simple monster. If someone gets scared, himself included, he's happy. Scaring runs in his family, and he's happy to keep up the tradition. Although being Hallow entails far more than just scaring. After all, a halloween scare contrasts sharply with holiday spirit

The story would occur during the story of regular Deltarune in hometown, however, instead of playing as kris, you instead play as Terro, accompanied by Ruby on your search to find out what happened to Kris and Susie

Now then, with all those introductions aside, you're probably wondering where this will go. That is a good question, I do not know, but I have some options, which is where you come in. Either:

A Game

Pros

-The intended experience for parallels

-Will probably be the most enjoyable

-Gives me an excuse to finally get into game design and begin something big

Cons

-Will take forever (Look no further than UTY taking 7 years)

-Requires me to learn music design, and game design

-Unless someone actively asks to join, I have no clue how I would expand my team

A webcomic

Pros

-Frequent Content that still follows the plot

-Follows the plot most accurately without being the game itself

Cons

-I cannot draw well and I don't have any art creation software other than aseprite (There is a reason I went into sprite art)

-I'm not sure how I would write this, and I don't think it will turn out that good

You can submit asks, and the characters will answer

Pros

-Can exist alongside other options freely (honestly depending on what happens with my question box, it will probably just come with whatever other option is chosen)

-Takes basically no effort on my end

Cons

-Barely gives any plot

-If used alone, makes certain characters forever unknown

-Easiest option on my end

-I genuinely cannot think of a more boring option for all this lore to be revealed. Like seriously, this doc just lists everything out that I have

-Locks out all other options from being usable as it spoils the entire plot and everyone's character -Immediately all mystery is thrown out the window, and the majority of headcanon formation is squashed

I know some American media wants H as a commentator to draw eyeballs but it’s important to remember that only 10-11 million Americans watched TQ’s funeral. That’s not a lot at all, and it was split among a lot of channels. ABC and NBC both only had ~3 millions viewers each. And the majority of those viewers I’d guess are older women, who (if it’s like in the UK) do NOT have a high opinion of H&M. I also wonder in all these polls showing their unpopularity, the continued mockery/pushback will make media rethink what they do. Sure, having the King’s son on their channel instead of there is a coup, but if no one wants to listen to him then it’ll just be a waste of money

I think that article was Harry asking for a job, and not actual broadcasters offering him one.

I feel having him as commentator will be super awkward. I don't think it's going to work.
