👫 argenti and yaoshi >:)
Send 👫 and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship || ... No Longer Accepting !!
This will be about Argenti's Immortality AU because thanks Yaoshi, I have had BRAIN ROT for this that I've considered writing drabbles--
The blessing of immortality that Argenti endures is considered a 'sword and shield' method of the Abundance. The sword? The vines of iridescence that weave through his hair. The shield? The rose that wilts and buds in place of denying the Knight a TRUE death after receiving a fatal blow that should kill him.
( Continued from Above ) The vines aren't technically considered a helpful sword until they reach full maturity, for the first twelve months of the 'blessing' they are considered juvenile and focus mainly on healing Argenti's injuries before he regains consciousness - they dig themselves into his injuries to start the healing process. Once fully mature they will coil around his 'corpse' and strike anyone that attempts to touch Argenti until the death cycle is complete, the only exception is Yaoshi themselves, this behavior is very similar to the Ambrosial Arbor Branches of the Abundant Ebon Deer that cause enemies OUTRAGE.
Until the vines reach full maturity! Yaoshi will appear physically to assist in the healing process so Argenti isn't 'dead' for long. How did Yaoshi find him? The ROSE. Yaoshi senses when it is in danger of wilting but always arrives after it has become a bud.
( Continued from Above ) Once the vines reach full maturity, Yaoshi may not appear as often since by that time the Knight of Beauties body likely heals itself more quickly then when they were 'new' as the healing capabilities may depend purely upon Argenti actually fully accepting the blessing, both mentally and physically, so they can be at full power.

Cake vs. MM Duel
So a little while ago cough cough I’m late I know shush, I said that once Anon Monday Hunger Games was over I would write a lil fic for the Cake vs. Marry Me Anon duel because why not, well here you go!
Content warnings (stay safe!): depictions of violence, blood, death
Cake walked along the forest floor, carefully avoiding patches of dried leaves or the stray stick here and there. She didn't really know WHERE she was trying to go, she just wanted to move. She had questioned her sanity enough over the past few days of being in the arena, and if she was to just keep sitting around in the woods, she feared that she would really lose it. All of this was just supposed to be a fun game, like a big game of manhunt with friends. They had all agreed upon it seeing how they all liked a bit of mischief, and what better way to stir that up than to hunt your friends for fun. But when Thief suddenly throws you into an arena and tells you to battle to the death well.... you do what you're told when it comes to Thief. Of course, there were people who argued or fought going in, reporter anon tried to talk thief out of it more than a couple times, but in the end, they were all doomed from the beginning. Well, all but one was doomed. As Cake thought back on it now the only one to fully be okay with doing this was TJ...it was almost like they wanted to do this.
Cake was pulled out of her thoughts as she heard the faint sound of movement coming from a little way away in the forest. As she listened closer, she could tell that the sound was footsteps. She couldn't exactly tell what direction they were coming from but knowing it was from behind her was enough to have her climbing up the nearest tree in hopes that whatever or whoever it was wouldn't notice her. As she finally reached a branch that seemed sturdy enough to hold her weight and high up enough that she wouldn't be noticed, she sat down and looked to the ground. It only took about a minute for a figure clad in all black to emerge from deeper in the forest. It looked like the jackets that some of the others had, so clearly it must have been another anon. From this height she couldn't exactly tell who it was, but she could tell that they seemed lost and frustrated. She watched as whoever it was paced around a bit before kicking a nearby tree and then sat down leaning against it.
In the moment the hilarity of the sight completely distracted Cake from the reality of the situation. The place the other anon was sitting was directly across from where she was. Of course, that wouldn't have been a problem as long as they didn't look up, but it just so happened that they did. Cake froze as she now saw who it was. MM. It wasn't like Cake disliked MM, she didn't really dislike any of the anons, but MM was always different. It always felt like a competition with MM, no matter what. Sure, it all started out as a joke, who could win over Thief (maybe they were both regretting that now), but over time it turned into...more. Almost like if MM had the chance, they really would try to kill her. As their eyes locked on her Cake didn't know what to do, on one hand she could awkwardly climb down, try to make an alliance, and hope MM doesn't try to kill her. And on the other she could stay in the tree and hope that MM simply thought she was a trick of the light, or that maybe they were going insane too. Any hope of the latter being an option was wiped away as she saw a grin spread across MM's face.
Oh no.
"How's the view from up there?" MM yelled up to her.
"Pretty good, but it was a whole lot better before you got here," she bit back. She wasn't going to just roll over and give up, she had won a fight or two already what's one more?
"I would be offended but honestly I never expected any better from you," they scoffed.
"Oh really? How nice of you," she wasn't the most focused on her words anymore. She was looking for a way down the tree so that she could hopefully end this quickly. She didn't like the idea of killing people, but if that's what it came to then she would. Sure, her knowledge with weapons would come in handy, but she was a bit rusty when it came to hand-to-hand combat. She more wanted to win by total accident y'know? Seemed like that idea was thrown out the window now.
MM had a look of amusement on their face. “Have fun trying to get down,” they said and turned to rummage through their bag.
Cake quickly started to make her decent, hoping she wouldn’t fall. Sure, climbing up a tree is easy, but unless you’re willing to jump getting down could be tricky. As she was climbing down, she kept looking back over at MM. They didn’t ever look back, just continued to rummage through their bag, although it did seem like they were getting a little frustrated. Once her feet touched the ground, she turned to face them, as if she would trust them enough to turn her back to them. Quickly reaching to her side she grabbed the hatchet she had and waited for something to happen.
MM looked back over to where Cake now stood on the ground and chuckled, “Oh, don’t worry, I’m a little busy.”
Cake was surprised, it’s not every day you come face-to-face with your rival, and they tell you they’re busy, but hey it bought her some time.
"So…do we like have to fight now? Isn’t there some way around this?” She asked.
“There’s no way around this, I think we both knew it would come someday.” MM responded as they closed their bag and turned to face Cake.
“I just-” she sighed as she lowered her arms from in front of her, “I just want to know why. It’s not like this’ll be worth anything anymore.”
“Don’t act like you don’t know why this has to happen,” they huffed in annoyance, “if you had never come along then maybe none of this would have to happen.”
They lunged towards Cake. With the clearing being quite small it was easy for them to reach her before she was able to bring her guard back up. They were able to punch her in the stomach, and she fell to her knees wheezing. As she was trying to regulate her breathing again MM reached for the hatchet she had in her hand. She recoiled quickly, causing her to fall onto her side. She tried to push herself up but was unable to as MM quickly climbed on top of her and the two began to wrestle for the hatchet. It didn’t last long, some kicks and punches were thrown between the two, causing bloody noses and later bruising, but all in all it only took about a minute for MM to get a firm hold on the hatchet and yank it from Cake’s grasp. As she went to grab it she was struck in the forearm by the blade and she recoiled her arms to her chest as blood started pouring from the wound.
Cake laid on the ground cradling her injured arm as MM loomed over her, hatchet firmly grasped in both hands.
“Hey there buddy,” she said slowly, “how about you just put down the hatchet and we talk this out?”
“I’m done talking,” they said raising the hatchet above their head. They swung down, impaling Cake’s torso with her own weapon. As they started to even out their breath, they slowly slid off Cake’s now still frame. They didn’t think she was dead yet, but she sure wasn’t going to be able to fight back anymore so it would be okay to sit back and breath for a second. They felt dazed as the adrenalin rush began to subside, the only reason they didn’t fall asleep on the spot was because they head Cake coughing and looked over to her.
"There will be a day when we meet again," she wheezed as she took in air, "and when that day comes, you better hope I'm in a good mood." She laughed bitterly, which slowly turned into another coughing fit. They watched as blood fell from the corner of her mouth to the forest floor. "Maybe in another life we could have been friends," she paused for a moment. She tilted her head to look over to where MM leaned against a tree. "You win." MM watched as she exhaled once more and then all her movement stopped. There was a moment of silence, as if all the animals in the forest understand that moment was important.
BOOM.
A single cannon shot could be heard echoing through the forest.
MM slowly inched over to Cake's body and closed her eyes. Sure, they were ruthless but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t at least show respect for the dead. The sound of the cannon still rang in their ears as they grabbed Cake's bag and pulled the hatchet from her torso, cringing at the horrible noises it made. They continued to walk in their original direction through the forest. It's almost night when they finally reach a clearing where they deem it safe enough to set up camp. As they lay down on the ground, they hear a faint beeping coming from somewhere in the forest. Grabbing the flashlight from their bag they see it's a cannister that's stuck in a bush a little way away. They quickly get up to see what's inside, hoping that it was something useful. They open it to find a strip of paper with a typed-out message: "Your destiny was to die in that duel, toying with fate will bring you no mercy."
MM didn’t sleep much that night.
