It had been one hell of a face off; but the battle was over and everything had gone quiet. He had taken no joy from getting his hands and literally everything bloody while getting involved in a fight he didn’t have a real reason to be a part of. However, somewhere along the lines he had become a part of it and he couldn’t be happier that it was finally over. Or at least almost over; there was a mess to clean and Tyler was tracking down Hayley to wherever she was still held and captured by the witch who was now long dead and gone.❝ Hayley? ❞, his voice echoed within the large and empty space he was crossing, her name shouted out loud enough for her to hear it as he knew he was closing up on her. The hybrid stopped and his features furrowed as he came into halt just to listen which was the specific direction to take. His eyes flew open at the little ruffling sound from a corner far to his left, followed by a voice he could recognize when whispering his name. He couldn’t hesitate nor wait any longer, he sped in an inhumane speed towards the source of the voice.It was dark, and the light was dim; but as soon as a cage came to his view he knew where she was and a feeling of relief came over him. Tyler didn’t speak but he sped towards the cage and the heavy door locked up tight to keep the werewolf inside. Only seconds later arriving he could see Hayley on her fours on the ground near the door, meeting his gaze as soon as he was there to meet her even if it only for seconds. He needed to get her out of there and that was his first priority; his hand curled around the heavy and old looking lock latching the door sealed. ❝ Fuck. ❞, he hissed at the stinging and burning sensation on his palm. ❝ Wolf’s bane. ❞, was Hayley’s explanation as to why he could not touch the lock; or rather why it burned his flesh. A sigh of frustration escaped him, but the helpless moment lasted only a second longer before he grabbed the lock again and yanked it broken despite the nasty feeling against against his hand. He swung the small cage’s door open, gesturing for Hayley to come out, ❝ Let’s get out of there. ❞, he spoke in far more quiet and gentle words than his cuss word from before. Now was soon as Hayley crawled out from her prison, Tyler wasn’t sure what he had expected to happen once he’d let Hayley out of that cage, but he was caught by surprise by the arms that suddenly thrown around his shoulders. Surprised but in relief he froze while her embrace around his tightened; this was not a step they had taken since beginning to find something of a truce and friendship between the two of them again. Maybe she only sought comfort, or maybe it was gratitude; but Tyler finally gave him and found his arms around her frame against his while lifting them both up to stand from the ground. He could comfort her, it was not unfamiliar concept to him and he murmured the words before he had of given them a thought, ❝ It’s okay, you’re safe now. You’re okay.❞.

▲ ;; — Maybe it was more trouble than it was worth; but it was too late to even pretend to see eye to an eye with this bunch of loyalists. Maybe it wasn’t smart to piss off a fellow hybrid, but then again; they weren’t exactly fellows even if they all were made of same blood. If things were bound to escalate, this was just about closest point to it, “You can try me.”. Tyler had been acting like an obedient little puppy lately, but the words exchanged between the two Klaus’s hybrids and himself had made him re-consider if this was the exception to his orders he wanted to make.
