In face of the current state of world, and national, affairs, I realized it is imperative we all start to get involved on absolutely anything remotely politic, locally, in our community, city, county, state and country. That started for me when a dear friend opened my eyes to what I’d truly happening in our county’s police. I was absolutely floored to learn of the current state of our administration and police, and, even more unsettling were the actual curriculum of the running candidates, especially the one I’m embarrassed to say I was uninformed enough to be leaning towards supporting by what I know now was insane recommendation. Once I decided to investigate further, I came across a few articles, 2 of them I include here, and was shocked to see how deeply we were into a mess of epic proportions and how fast and easily we could go in an even worse direction. From here, I went to investigate and, thankfully, absolutely found my candidate: Tina Nieto. First I did my homework by researching a lot about her online and, impressed with what I found, and even more so by asking around and hearing nothing but praise from every single person I talked to, I then decided to meet her in person and see if she was all that was hyped up to be. Turns out, she was not only that but even more. Her curriculum is great (will share with you all on the next post), and, personally, she is even more of a no bs, competence and community above all kick ass Latina and she not only got my vote, but our family and team full support and what I know will be a friend for life. In short: She’s great, folks. Truly great. I’m so relieved that we actually have someone competent to perform the big changes we absolutely need. It’s our safety in question, guys and gals. We NEED her. Please vote, support, research, spread the word, involve yourself, CARE. It is absolutely vital that we ALL do.
