I’m choosing to imagine Theo mentions that Draco has this friend named Hermione who is somehow a distant Malfoy cousin, and Thoros calls every Death Eater that was in the past (barring Dolohov and Abraxas) to talk about the fact that that one girl they knew for a few weeks and who Tom was weirdly interested in is back now but she’s legit 11 years old, and who had “she’s a weird time traveler” as their bet because they just won? They all talk about it on and off throughout the years, the way that one woman who they all saw attack Dolohov numerous times throughout her stay and who she literally killed is now a child and so utterly different from the woman they knew that they wouldn’t believe it’s her if it weren’t for her appearance and name. She’s then totally different when she marries Tom and this is the lady they all remember

I love how weird this all was to everyone except Tom and Hermione and how you keep pointing out how REALLY WEIRD it would be. I wonder if they were relieved or even more freaked out when "sweet child from non-trauma universe" Hermione was replaced by "I will murder all of you in your beds, just give me a reason" Hermione. LIke, yes, she's objectively worse from their perspective, but at least she makes sense again.

(also, ack! I'm sorry I missed this one. It didn’t take long until they were all on the ground, although she did appreciate the opportunity to try out her new hexes and curses. It made for an entertaining duel.

Barely fifteen seconds passed after the last one fell before Tom strode in, fury in his wake. Hermione couldn’t resist.

Lmao. A Hermione who just doesn't care about preserving the timeline and is not afraid of dealing with Tom or his "friends" bs while also being slightly unhinged herself to match his energy is great. Makes the whole dynamic better imo. The whole Psychopaths in Love bit or any other indication where they're both batsht and mutually /unhealthily/ obsessive of each other is a personal guilty pleasure read.

He considered whether he really wanted her to begin referring to him as 'my lord', just as he demanded of all the others; but he felt that would cheapen her worth to him, somehow. She was by far above and beyond the rest. Besides, she'd changed the way he felt about certain things - especially this. His name in her mouth had taken on an almost blissful quality when he heard it - he now regarded her use of his given name with something close to reverence.

"No," he smiled. "Tom is fine."

He hesitated, then added, "…for now."

There was a part of him that wondered what she would sound like, if she said it. And what she’d look like, crawling on her knees for him, ready to serve.
