Did no one else want them or did he look at them and his huge canon paternal instinct went "my babies now"? Why the names Ryu and Ryo? Their Childhood Good 👍 (think of it as bluey and Bingo but more smacking /j) their Childhood is very fun loved it they enjoy to have fun. problem is the boys have a nightmares when they where little that makes them be so scared at Rise raph (Cough cough Slash/Hun). So rise raph wears a Mascot to hide his whole appearance a teddy bear Mascot. The kids like teddy bear Rise raph made them all the time when they want a new one. When Nightmares went away as they realized The Monsters from their Nightmares aka Slash and Hun are nothing like Rise raph. So they weren't scared of him anymore.(yes this was a reference to a movie i forgot what its called )

Kung Fu Panda Series Observation/Theories: Peach Tree symbolism🍑

Hi all! I feel like the majority of the fandom-pandom for kfp is losing their s$&ts from the trailer released for the fourth film; respectively, I also agree and am currently obsessing over ANY details from the clips released! (I know what the wiki page says about the Furious 5 only having a BRIEF MOMENT but please dreamworks, just bring those beautiful babes back and don’t forgot about them!👏)

Anyway, here’s some observation points I’m noticing and then drawing possible theories, just to help ease my brain from any hurt that may be to come from the movie released next year😭

*Basically, it’s all about the Peach Tree*

FYI: I will predominantly be referencing my notes from the FILMS and not the short films/separate series since I don’t know much about those films. The ONLY one I will be referencing is from “Secrets of the Scroll” since the Peach Tree is heavily symbolized (and I live for Tigress content🐯).

1st pic] Coming from the kfp4 trailer, this beautiful ass Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom is prospering for who knows how long this franchise (and turtle man’s death) occurred. Big thing to note is not only the tree itself, but the tiny tree located to the left of Po. I believe that’s the same tree from the first movie, where Shifu and Oogway would plant a new sapling during their conversation about angry boi and sh$&ting on how useless Po is to them🥲

*sidenote: from the trailer, there is a scene where Po is watching the blossoms move in the wind. This did remind me of Oogway’s passing from the first film so whether a ‘change/transition’ could occur is something to consider. Also, I don’t know if that scene takes place at the beginning, middle or end of the forth movie so hopefully more content will be released soon😊👏

2nd pic] The second picture below references this idea— furthermore, from the wiki page, Oogway replanted the peach sapling (the one where Master Master took his feelings out on the tree and a seed fell down), in order to represent how using effective teaching methods towards Po will not only help the panda learn Kung-Fu but also be able to defeat Tai Lung. Congrats then to Shifu for taking the turtle’s advice because now we are getting a fourth film (and all the separate shorts too).

Also from the 1st movie, when Oogway is meditating (before Shifu f$&n interrupts his yoga session) the Peach Tree is actively losing its petals, and then WE ARE TREATED TO THE BEAUTY AND HEARTACHE OF OOGWAY’S DEATH IN ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC CINEMATIC MASTERPIECES OF ALL TIME!!!🪦 So, tree loses petals= loss, death of something? Towards the end of kfp1, the tree starts getting its petals back= rebirth, growth, gain???

3rd pic] - From Secrets of the Scroll, before events of kfp1

Ok, so our beautiful tiger girl is given some much needed spotlight in this short; followed by some emotional damage and teenage issues (like having to fight a boar, prove your worth to your adoptive red panda father, etc…) And, there is the one scene that basically mimics Oogway’s talk with Po (except its grandpa and granddaughter.)

Tigress, as a teenager just got s$&t on by Shifu for getting the wrong group of people to fight pig man (thus Furious Five was born.) She takes some therapeutic, albeit depressive-episode moment time by Peach Tree till Oogway joins her and gives some loving advice: screw dad and prove your worth to yourself👍👍

We then get treated to a beautiful, strong independent woman and her comrades for future films! My note from this pic is that the blossoms are not gone (unlike Oogway’s deathbed scene), so this could also symbolize growth, aspiration, understanding your self-worth (like Po’s from first movie- 4th pic)

Notes about Peach and Peach Blossom symbolism in China🍑

Peach blossom trees also represent longevity: they bloom in March and represents spring.

And, DA DA DA….. peach blossoms also symbolizes love!❤️ From the article, since the trees bloom in March, that’s a prime time for weddings to occur (hm, wonder what that could mean .. cough cough 🐼🐯)!!!! Could also be just general love for friends, family too.

Anyway these were just some notes and observations I saw from the trailer. Truthfully, Dreamworks may be watching the fandom from afar or completely ignoring us but I do hope that the forth film won’t destroy all the beauty and intelligence that the franchise had carried before (especially with the first two films.)

...there's not really a "leader" since that's not how families work in real life, but she's generally the dubious voice of reason and the one who carries everybody's water bottles and medications and whathaveyou. she resents this position a little but doesn't have the self awareness to confront it

I'm not entirely clear on what this question means. he has other interests outside stem, but in my verse his focus is much more on computer science and mechanical engineering than any other field of science, so he kind of doesn't gaf about biology or anything organic or "squishy." if that was the question. other interests include grindcore music, transformers, my little pony (the toys), swimming, gambling, arguing on forums, sculpting, 3d animation, girls, and other things.

All thoughts under the cut cuz i'm going to write a lot lol (also apologies if my ramble makes no sense i am not a very well-spoken person teehee)

but tl;dr the balance of angst/comfort, the subltety in facial expressions and how it adds so much to the story, the animation in the action scenes

OKAY SO-

My favorite thing about the rottmnt movie? Oh man i dont think i can pick one thing. I'll just list the main ones 🤭

The fact that it was able to stray away from the goofy and lighthearted nature of the show but is still able to feel like rottmnt. The rottmnt movie is much darker and angstier than the show, but it still captures the essence of the characters and their personalities very well -- and it also explores their characters in a situation that calls for a more serious tone and it is beautifully done. The suble facial expressions and body language in each character speaks volumes on their personalities.

Speaking of which, i absolutely love the story they were able to tell solely on the facial expressions of the characters -- namely leo. In the movie, leo goes uncharacteristically quiet in some scenes, so it's much easier for the viewer to analyze his face to try and read what hes thinking.

Here, leo is face to face with krang for the first time in the movie, and it is apparent in his face. The look of sheer horror as he's trying to process what exactly he's fighting. The intense strength and overwhelming size of this... monster is absolutely daunting. He doesn't know what to do.

This is just one of many examples of the story leo creates with just his face. Down here we see another, clearer example.

Contemplation. Realization. Determination.

Leo understands the weight of the situation. Casey warned them it will only get worse if they do not get that key. But everyone is compromised. They have retreated. Everyone except him. He understands what he must do next, but is incredibly afraid. Going up there alone is a definite death wish. But someone has to pay for his mess, might as well be him. He readies himself to release the escape pod.

Like OHH MY GODDD. This part has to be one of my favorite scenes from the movie. It gave me goosebumps the first time i watched it. It clearly expresses his emotions to the viewer without him having to say anything. Just 10/10, beautifully done scene.

I could honestly write a 10 page essay on just the facial expressions in the movie, but moving on before this gets too long. The action scenes. They were so beautifully animated.

Especially this one right here!!! The camera moves at a pace to where its not disorienting/dizzy. And the colors of the turtles' ninpo makes it easier to understand what's going on. This entire scene was incredibly well choreographed. The showcasing of each of the brothers' fighting style (donnie's and leo's are more apparent in the deleted storyboard version but still) was soooo cool. And they're ultimate combo move was absolutely amazing as well (even though they got their asses beat right after 💀).

And this might be a basic answer but what hit me the most was the leo crying scene. Seeing the comical, pun-loving, unserious character break down thinking those were his last moments alive absolutely destroyed me. I honestly love the "comedic relief dies a hero" trope so this whole movie catered to my tastes very well lol. Anyway, rant over. I'd be surprised if you read this far but thanks for letting me infodump i've been waiting for someone to ask me about this movie since i watched it 👍

Aight I never mentioned this- but I did finish Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and overall… 👍 it was pretty good?

More under the cut that are obviously spoilers.

Now it being a story made up by the turtles is a pretty good idea tbh?? It kind of took me by surprise, but I can appreciate it a lot. And also it was relatable to see Leo sitting in bed drawing the comic (was there so much as a kid).

And this reason is why I can excuse some clunkiness of some of the plot moments.

My one complaint about it is it feels like the boys kept their brothers too in character? If that makes sense LMAO. Idk anytime I wrote about my brother as a kid no doubt I bastardized his personality.

But to be fair… they did grow up only knowing eachother for their entire lives until this point. Which probably did help them keep them in character. The others (such as Ray, Wingwave, Leatherhead, Stunkbug) I can just wave off since we don’t really see them a lot in the movie already.

Now the one thing that did throw me off… Where is Bebop and Rocksteady?? And Mondo?? The duo seem to be implied to have left or gone rogue in someway since Donnie (?) asked if they were on a rampage. But idk! Just a weird thing I noticed and couldn’t get outta my head.

The animation is stellar, and the designs of the new guys were fun for me. A couple of times I rewinded it just to watch a scene again and the East River Three probably had my favorite designs that were introduced (Mustang Sally and Lee my beloveds) and the Anemenies were also super cool since I don’t think we’d seen coral mutants so far in any iteration?

Pigeon Pete is ok, I think he gets his point of being the new comic relief tbh. I had fun watching his scenes (until the detective scene). I think having him talk made him worse for me somehow lol. And Metalhead (rip little guy) was very cute which surprised me as I’m typically not the biggest fan of robots.

I have no idea if these characters are real btw. Pigeon Pete I’m leaning towards…. Maybe? Just because he is seen in both the Arcs.

But it presumably had to happen since Splinter learned how to talk after mutation. So eh. But also him speaking Vermin (or whatever it’s called) is funny to me.

Also the human designs look… a lot better in 2D LMAO. Which is understandable, but it was one of the FIRST things I noticed when the humans appeared.

Now stories, they’re ok. I thought it was clunky at some spots, but it’s teenagers making it up. So it gets a pass from me.

Now I think the first Arc (told by Leo) is better than the second Arc (told by Raph). HOWEVER… I enjoyed the characters introduced in Arc Two way more. They were just more enjoyable for me to watch, Sally and Lee especially and both their designs are sick af.

It could be that the first arc was advertised more maybe? Or it was simply I preferred the first arcs story more. I did however dig that each arc was a different turtle telling the story and if there is a season two I can only hope that Donnie and Mikey can tell a story.

Now for things I disliked (couldn’t find a redeeming thing) is….

The Purple Dragons, Rat King aaaand the random animal violence?????

So the Purple Dragons isn’t a big thing but I just didn’t care too much for how it was done. Teens telling stories aside, it just felt… not right for me. It felt weird making Angel the aggressive one and Hun the more docile one. Which I did grow to like these characters I just couldn’t put that out of my mind.

Now the Rat King reveal with it being Splinter (and sewer rats worshipping him). Nothing really, I just don’t like it LMAO. Idk as a kid I could get behind it, but now that I fully know the two as separate characters it doesn’t work.

Aaand finally the random animal violence-

This is a weird one for me and I started to notice it after Ralph’s episode in Arc 1. There is just?? Random bad things that happen to animals? Such as the zoo scene specifically (kind of), the chickens that get ran over in an attempt of a joke, cat hit by flood of water, another cat that Genghis kept almost eating, and probably more I can’t remember.

The last one especially was when it got to bothering me. Cause it was trying to make all of that kind of humorous and it just… wasn’t sitting with me. I’ve never been a fan of that humor, I never will be and it’s just weird how much of it was in twelve episodes. Which again I can maybe say “teen boy humor” but even then?? I don’t think I can here tbh gang. It’s just…. Yeah that doesn’t land well for me.

There’s probably more I can add later, but these are my thoughts at the current moment about it. It’s a good show, animation is great and the story can be clunky at times, but it’s got a reason for it. Designs are fun as well.

TMNT ideas (inspired by music) that I don’t have time to work on, looking for a good home ✨

1. A Raph crossover animatic set to Wrecking Ball by Mother Mother

All the Raphs join up and go to a wreck room, or an old building they can thoroughly obliterate.

Rise Raph originally supervises, like “hah thank goodness I don’t have issues like this, I can just be the responsible one and make sure no one gets hurt”

And then he proceeds to have a flashback to when he was krang-ified and couldn’t fight against it and almost killed his brother. And he joins in

And all the other Raphs cheer because they get to watch him use his ninpō

They all go to therapy afterwards 👍

2. A Rise Leo animatic/songfic based on Lie a Little by Confetti

Not much to say here, guy’s repressing his trauma

I will say that I discovered this song through an Undertale animatic and now I feel everyone is sleeping on Rise Leo clearly being a Sans kinnie

3. 2k3 Mikey and Leo bonding moments with Mr. Blue Sky playing in the background

Mr. Blue Sky, in my brain, is such a “from Mikey to Leo” song — it’s the youngest sibling going “well that’s fuckin ridiculous stop being edgy” and the oldest sibling going “oh. Maybe that is a little ridiculous” and they get to be funny together

I think maybe the song follows Leo through all the times he’s gotten messed up, and then pans over to Mikey, trying to cheer his brother up

4. Rise Apritello animatic/AU based on Hot Wings (I Wanna Party) from the Rio movie

AU where Donnie doesn’t know the other turtles and neither does April. Possibly a Separated AU? Do whatever you want <3

Somehow, Donnie and April, two strangers, end up chained together. They now have to find a way to break the chain and go their separate ways.

It’s Donatello, so to prevent the plot from being resolved immediately by his genius, let’s say the chain is magically indestructible in some way. Maybe it’s Draxum’s villainy or whatever

They end up dragged off into the city’s underbelly by friends they make - other mutant turtles - and a big friendly guy named Raph who they originally go to for help breaking the chain brings them to a club where his brothers work. Mikey is the DJ, Leo is a singer (and a drag queen. You know I’m right)

They party and have a good time, and perhaps fall in love <3

The important bit about this to me is colors. Mikey has that one jacket with splotches on it from Clothes Don’t Make the Turtle, everything and everyone is neon and the perspectives are a little tilted at all times!

5. 2k3 Donnie & Mikey concert, they sing Bang Bang by Green Day

That song is just viscerally a tmnt song to me okay

Specifically Donnie and Mikey because I think they’d vent about their brothers through this song

Speaking of them, we start the song by Mikey and Donnie playing the instrumental opening on drums and a guitar, and we see snapshots of Leo and Raph in the city, about to get into a fight

We cut to Mikey for the start of the song, he is INTO IT, he’s singing the main lyrics!

Elsewhere, Raph and Leo get into a fight. It progressively gets harder and harder as it progresses while Donnie and Mikey continue playing, perhaps to an audience? Perhaps there’s people and this is on stage

There is a melody at about 2:15 in the song where I think Mikey summons his dragon spirit, just for the effect of it, just for the drama.

Raph and Leo see the light of it from all the way across the city, and start heading there, jumping over rooftops, racing each other with smiles

Donnie sings the “hoorah” while Mikey interrupts with “BANG BANG!” in the background

6. Silly goofy Rise Mikey set to Eighth Wonder by Lemon Demon

Genuinely just a Mikey tribute. I think this song very well describes him as a cryptid and a mutant but still as a very neat little guy

He celebrates being the way he is, and it rubs off on his brothers as well. He’s a sunshine :)

Angelo is perhaps weirdly well-adjusted to everything that happened to him in the future. It affected him, of course it did, but he had the temperament and knowledge to deal with it a little better than the rest of his family. (He's not actually doing quite as well as he thinks he is, but like, he's ten out of ten compared to Leonardo.)

He doesn't feel guilty for the last minute self-sacrifice. Seven years after the apocalypse started, they tried the same plan as in the movie, and Angelo died. The rest of the family was barely able to bring him back, and his mystic powers hadn't done shit toward making a portal, so they called off the whole idea. None of them could bear to make the call, especially when it likely wouldn't work.

There's also the fact that going back to the past was going to reset the whole future. The more intel they could take back, and the better-trained that person would be, the more likely their chances of success. Besides, if it worked, all the suffering and death technically would have never happened, so he technically would have nothing to blame himself for.

He kind of still does, though. He'd always trained toward the idea of trying the time gate again, they just hadn't been sure if he could pull it off until it was time to try it out. Sometimes he wishes he tried earlier, if only so he didn't have quite so many memories of his loved ones dying, but at least they're all still alive in the past/present.

Little Mikey, on the other hand, has an absolute damn boatload of nearly-watched-my-brother-die trauma. He heard the wrist-comm recording of what happened in the prison dimension (he wasn't supposed to) and blames himself for every injury Leo got while Mikey was trying to open a portal to him. He could have had stronger powers, he could have been faster, he could have done something else-

Hearing Angelo's account of the future, what with the first attempt at the time gate and all, helps ease his guilt a little. But it's not like Leo's prison dimension injuries can be unwritten with a time gate, like all the drama from the future. There's not as much help there that Angelo can offer, besides being a listening ear, though that does help quite a bit.

They are cooking buddies absolutely! Angelo knows a thousand and one tricks for outdoor cooking and has April's mom's much-coveted brownie recipe. He won't share it, but he will let Mikey help stir things once all the ingredients are in a bowl. Mikey keeps guessing at what's in there, much to Angelo's amusement. And Angelo knows a bunch of new secrets about greenhouses and hdyroponics that endears him to both Mikey and Donnie (botany and tech nerd that he is).

Angelo also knows the best teas for soothing stressed-out turtles, which helps with everyone. The smell always wakes him up, so he goes looking to see what's happening whenever it's in play. He and Mikey have a lot of late-night conversations. Sometimes it's about serious stuff, sometimes it's about the Lou Jitsu fanfic that Angelo kept writing all through the apocalypse.

There's not a lot of scar comparison, because Angelo doesn't want to freak Mikey out by showing him everything that happened. Y'all've seen that post about Mikey missing a part of his shell in one frame? Angelo's not gonna show a fifteen-year-old kid that, doesn't want to freak him out.

Besides, his shell has healed, and Mikey's hands haven't quite. Angelo is actually quite helpful there! He's the only turtle with strong enough mystic powers to use them to heal, but it requires a use of his hands that still causes some pain for Mikey. Angelo can do it just fine, and add a bit of warmth to help soothe any lingering aches.

Angelo doesn't compare a lot of his art therapy, either, cause uh. There's a lot of blood in some of them and he doesn't think he should really show a fifteen-year-old that either. But not all of it is vent art! And he shows Mikey everything he draws that's a little less gory, cause there were still beautiful moments in the apoclaypse, and he's glad to have someone to share it with.

Mikey shows Angelo absolutely everything he makes an attempt at, and Angelo encourages all of it. And provides some art tips! Cause he's had twenty more years to hone his art skills so there's quite a bit that he can pass on.

There are so many pranks involving floating. Angelo teaches Mikey how to make his cape float behind him even when there's no wind, and how to open doors ahead of him. Mikey calls it their Jedi mind tricks and does the hand wave every time. (He also tries to mind-trick his way out of the chore list sometimes, which Raph never falls for). It's their favourite thing to do and they use Leonardo whenever they need to work on floating people/objects. He's patient about it and only whines a moderate amount when they drop him (Angelo does it on purpose, Mikey doesn't).

Thanks for patching the ceiling hole, I've been saying I need to get to that for weeks now!

You had walked into the lair with the intention of playing video games with Mikey and watching Lou Jitsu films with Raph. However, blaring red lights and a panicked Leo was something you were not expecting. His tall, lanky frame ran chaotically around the garage arms wailing in the air, you watched as he ran into the Turtle Tank; his body crushed against the large wheel. You pinched the bridge of your nose and sighed heavily muttering a quiet "How did we end up in this situation?"

"(Y/N), I've got something to tell you." Leo was facing you, his brows pulled together in concentration. You turned from the beanbag in the living room, your attention drifting away from the Lou Jitsu movie and onto Leo's face. You hummed in response slowly raising from the beanbag as he took a gentle grasp on your wrists, casually pulling you closer to him. The space between you both gradually became non-existent, his breath fanning across your face as you stared up into his eyes that shone in the dimly lit room.

"(Y/N)," he began, his thumb rubbing over the soft skin of your hand "I've been waiting for the perfect time to tell you this, but I just couldn't wait any longer." He glanced away from you his eyes blinking shut, a small tear slipping down his cheek. Your eyes traced over his face, the electric red of his markings, the sway of the mask tails fluttering in the gentle breeze of the home-made air conditioner. You sighed aloud "Yes Leo?" You breathlessly asked he turned back to you capturing your chin with his fingers angling your head closer to his lips "I love y-"

You groaned as the alarm slowly disturbed you from your precious dream, you awoke to the normal world where school existed as well as the crippling reality that Leo only liked you as a friend. The beeping of your alarm silenced as your hand slapped the lock screen repeatedly, "Yes, yes I get it. Shut up already!" Noticing that your phone was littered with notifications from the guys you took your time going through each one while going about your daily morning routine.

You thumbed your way through texts, memes and videos from each of the boys; mainly Mikey. It was the same old stuff:

You giggled to yourself while flicking through the videos and pictures of the brothers, your mind chose to focus on Leo and the way he smiled as he took a black marker to Donnie's sleeping form. His muffled laughter and mischief in his eyes sent your heart aflutter. You texted Mikey telling him you'd be over in an hour, plenty of time to get ready and head to the sewers.

Adorning some comfy clothes and a backpack full of snacks you made your way to the nearest manhole cover. Puffing out your chest you stared at the solid piece of metal laying in front of you, clasping your hands together and cracking your knuckles and neck you bent down and heaved the solid mass over just enough to fit through. Jumping into the sewers you groaned as some 'water' splashed up your legs, pulling the manhole cover back over you wondered around the sewers, your legs taking you to your second home.

Walking into the lair you were greeted by Mikey zooming past on his skateboard quickly followed by Leo, your hair was splayed across your face as you tried to blow strands of it away. From what you could make out from under the (H/C) hair Mikey was stood facing you his board in his hands, "Hey (Y/N)" he waved, you laughed a little getting hair into your mouth "Hi Mikey." Leo rolled to a stop next to his younger brother, eyes wide at your appearance before suddenly laughing his ass off.

"(Y/N), can I just say I love the new hairdo." He cried, wiping a tear from his eye. You gave him a glare and again attempted to blow your hair away, Leo stepped forward and pulled the remaining piece behind your ear. He smiled softly at you "Now there they are" he joked, you reluctantly smiled back at him, noticing how close you both were Leo stepped back with a slight blush on his cheeks, rubbing his neck he turned to Mikey who was just watching the interaction with a gushy facial expression.

Leo punched his arm trying to get his attention "Miguel, didn't you want to show (Y/N) some video game?" As if by magic Mikey snapped back from his sappy state and grabbed your hand dragging you to their gaming room shouting excitedly, something about an old Lou Jitsu game he found online. Leo watched as your form vanished into the neon lights of the gaming room, he didn't register the longing sigh that left his lips; but Donnie did.

"Oh stop being so in love." He moped, Leo turned to him instantly his cheeks as red as the marks covering his eyes. "What? I'm not in love with (Y/N). Whoever said that? Cause that's a thing I am definitely not. In love, I mean. With (Y/N). No siree~" He babbled on, Donatello rolled his eyes and sipped his mug of coffee "I didn't even say (Y/N)'s name." Leo's eyes widened in embarrassment. He tried to think of something to defuse the situation "(Y/N)? I didn't say (Y/N), that's crazy. What are you on about bro?" Donnie gave Leo an unamused look, grumbling under his breath "You did say (Y/N)" and "I'm not crazy you're crazy."

As the day went on you and Mikey grew tired of the videos games and that's when Raph pulled out a movie and turned on the projector. Everyone sat around the small screen, just as you were about to take a seat next to Raph Donnie spoke up "Oh hey, er, (Y/N)?" You gave him a questioning glance "Yeah D?" He did a quick side glimpse to his older brother who simply nodded his head, Donatello took a quick breath before replying calmly "Can you just pop into the garage I think I left the- the, erm,"

He froze as he tried to come up with an excuse for their plan to work, Donnie began to sweat nervously as he rattled his brain for any decent thought. "D? You okay?" You asked giving a weird look to the others. "Looks like good old Bootyshaker9000 has broken down, should we like turn him on and off again or something?" Leo joked, Raph kept looking between you, Leo and Donnie "Just give him a minute Leo, I'm sure Donnie's fine."

"Donald?" Mikey asked timidly placing a hand on his shoulder.

"BLANKETS!"

"What?" Raph slapped his hand against his face in frustration. You looked at Donnie puzzled "Okay so let me get this straight, you want me to go into the garage to get you some blankets even though we're in the living room and you're currently sat in a blanket?" Donnie's face went blank "Yes?" he said unsure of his own answer, you groaned and began walking to the garage. Rummaging around through D's stuff you huffed placing your hands on your hips "There aren't even any blankets in here."

"Need any help?" A smooth voice came from the door, turning around you were met with the blue bandanaed turtle. You laughed to yourself "Is it that obvious?" The turtle smiled in amusement and joined you, he lifted some boxes his muscles flexing under the weight; you couldn't help but stare. "You know?" Leo's attention left the box he was carding through and turned to your dazzling (E/C) eyes, "I think Donnie lied to us." You continued. Leo gasped holding his hands up to his mouth "There were no blankets after all." You both stared at each other in silence before breaking out into laughter.

It went quiet again as the sound of your laughter grew softer, you both had become a lot more comfortable around each other as you sat on some of the stacked boxes swinging your legs back and forth. Leo was still chuckling going to lean against the wall, as his shell hit the wall a small click was heard so minute it fell upon deaf ears. Seconds later metal doors slammed shut while a bright red light strobed around the room, you swivelled your head to Leo's direction, he stood frozen against the wall his arms still crossed over his chest and one of his feet resting against the wall.

"What was that?" You asked nervously but Leo could sense the anger in your tone, he chuckled again this time more out of nerves. He looked away from you a hand going instinctively to the back of his neck "Would you believe me If I said Donnie had installed a stupid 24-hour lockdown thing and this isn't the first time it's happened." He tried to joke at the end. You glanced at the floor watching as your feet hung in the air "So I'm guessing we're stuck in here till tomorrow huh?"

"Yep," he replied popping the 'p'. "We can make that work." He smiled at your declaration.

~An hour later~

"And then I said, and get ready for this, I said 'Looks like these fish are all dried up'."

"That's amazing," you laughed, "I know right?" Leo smirked leaning back on his arms legs spread wide open on the concrete floor. You sat faced opposite him reflecting his position "And you came up with that on the spot?" You questioned, he feigned a hurt expression "Why I, of course I did!"

~2 hours later~

"So we ended up covered in cake frosting and it was all over the kitchen, yeaahh~ our boss was not happy about it, he made me and April spend the rest of the night cleaning it up." You smiled. "No way did that happen," Leo stated quite confidently, you gasped "Of course it happened, just because you didn't see it!"

"I don't buy it, no way did the cake explode." He shook his head, you growled under your breath "It wasn't the cake that exploded it was the icing bag, don't you pay attention?"

"HEY! I pay plenty of attention." You hummed and shrugged "Hmm maybe, besides I'd have to be as bad at cooking as you to make a cake explode."

"HEY!"

~4 hours later~

"Hey (Y/N)? I've got- I've got something I want to tell you." You stopped what you were doing and faced Leo, he awkwardly shuffled closer to your seated position on the floor sweat dripping down his face. "Are you okay?" You asked placing the back of your hand on his forehead feeling the heat radiating from it.

"Yes. No. Yes?" You looked puzzled, Leo grabbed your hands his thumb rubbing over the skin of your left hand. "Listen (Y/N), I know this seems kinda crazy and trust me this is not how I thought I'd do this, but-" He sucked in a deep breath and pleadingly looked into your eyes "I- I-" Your mind began racing from the close proximity to the feeling on his thumb rubbing your hand, the way his eyes sparkled in the light or the scent of vanilla with a hint of pizza.

"I-ah ha" he chuckled nervously, "I like you, like a lot." Your blush rivalled Raph's mask as you stared agape at Leo, his eyes flickered around your face taking in your reaction. He looked almost disappointed when you didn't reply, snapping out of your trance you lept into Leo's arm taking him off guard. He sat there with you pressed against his plastron, arm tightly wrapped around his shell, face snug perfectly in the crook of his neck. He sighed and wrapped his arms around you proceeding to hug you back, pulling away slightly to look at his face your dainty hand pulled his chin down his lips now level with your own.

A blush adorning both of your faces, leaning in closer your breath fanning across his face "I like you too". Leo wasted no time in pressing his lips against your own and unlike your dream from last night this was real, this was happening right now and it felt better than you could have ever imagined.

~5 hours later~

You released another yawn from your lips as you pried your eyes open, trying to resist the toxic hand of sleep. Leo wrapped an arm around you pulling you closer into his plastron "You can go to sleep, I won't do anything." He whispered gently. You looked up at him his caring eyes staring back at you "No it's okay, I can do it-" you yawned again "I can stay awake." Leo chuckled at your determination and kissed the top of your forehead "Go to sleep hermosa." Although it fell on deaf ears as you had already fallen asleep, Leo smiled and joined you in slumber.

~30 minutes later~

"Maybe we should leave we might wake them."

"Oh Miguel, don't be so naive. We can use this to our advantage." Donnie said smiling like a crazy man, he pulled out his phone and zoomed in on Leo's face, he made sure to zoom in on the drool dripping down his mouth.

Raph lightly slapped the back of Donnie's head as a warning "Stop that." He looked back to the sleeping pair on the floor "They're so cute together" Mikey whispered. "Oh, c'mon we're on about the same guy who drew fake glasses on me in sharpie!"

"You're the one that set this up-"

"Because they were both being dumb, besides it was more of a favour."

"Come on," Raph ushered the two out of the room "let's go." He turned back and smiled at his brother his eyes welling up a bit.

I happen to like things that are 'for kids', such as Disney movies and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (and low-key Miraculous but not as much as I used to). My siblings teased me a lot when we were younger about how I liked stuff 'for kids' and I just got frustrated and kinda stopped watching that kind of stuff cus of their teasing.

Now they've realized that they shouldn't have been picking on me so much and they've apologized and we've moved on but at the time it was kinda hurtful.

Anyway now I just like what I like and screw anyone who tries to tell me what I can or can't like! 😁👍

Ok so I officially became a Star Wars fan when I had watched the Mandalorian. I had seen star wars content before, but I just never found myself really sucked into the fandom. 

I blame this on a combination of my 6 year old self being like “my brother likes this therefore I must it hate it” and also that anytime star wars was brought around me while younger it was treated as a ‘boy thing’. None of the girls I was friends with back than ever seemed interested in it and a lot of adults seemed to do the classic “oh she wont like that!! Its for boys”. 

Adults saw me as a girly girl while growing up I think because I used to really like things like skirts, barbies, LPS and ballet. But there was just as much ‘boy’ stuff I enjoyed. 

My parents were really good thou honestly, and they supported the majority of interests while growing up. It was the other adults who made it a problem and because I didn’t see my parents a lot while growing up I think a lot of the other adults in my life (and kids at school) influenced me away from a lot of things I would have enjoyed. Like star wars. All because they had personally deemed them for boys.

But that’s really just a theory. 

I actually remember my one aunt giving my dad shit for playing a ‘boys’ video game with me (it was Lego Batman). Which like fuck her, playing games like that with my dad was one of the only ways I got to bond with him because he worked so much. Lego Batman is still one of my favourite games to this day and I hate that aunt with a burning passion. she’s def not invited to my wedding in the future lol

Anyway enough about sappy/angry childhood stuff. 

It wouldn’t be until one fateful night, when recovering from my surgery, where my dear friend @tobusydaydreaming showed me some Mando content like “yo this dude is def your type, you should watch the show”. And for once I actually listened and watched the show she suggested to me. (I have a list of things I havent watched from her yet lol) 

Than she convinced me to write some fanfic for it and the rest is history. 

Now I’m here, rewatching star wars content and simping for the tin can man. 

also fuck all those people who told me star wars was for boys, y’all deprived me of this good shit for years and I fully believe that to be true.
