––    THWACK    !    a    powerful    blow    to    her    middle    ,    followed    by    a    sharp    pain    that    traveled    across    her    spine.    the    next    thing    she    knew,    arms    weakly    scrambled    to    lift    herself    up    from    the    cold    wooden    floor.    truly    unfortunate    was    the    girl    to    have    been    assigned    to    a    regular,    yet    RATHER    RUDE    AND    BOISTEROUS    SPIRIT    GUEST.    from    what    sen    had    heard,    the    visitor    had    been    looking    for    lin    to    attend    to    them,    but    since    the    older    was    called    to    another    task,    the    higher    ups    decided    that    “    it    should    be    the    human    who    would    take    on    the    task.    ”

amidst    ALREADY    TEARY    AND    BLURRY    charcoal    hues,    she    suddenly    found    a    palm    reaching    out    to    her.    glancing    up    at    the    newcomer,    pudgy    features    were    surprised    to    see    a    very    much    familiar    face.    ❛    h-haku    ?    ❜    he     was     here     !   had    he    heard    of    the    commotion    ?    it    shouldn’t    have    reached    the    top    floor    should    it?    thankfully    there    were    a    few    attendants    nearby    who    took    over    the    scene    in    an    attempt    to    calm    down    the    visitor,    and    with    the    attention    no    longer    on    her,    she    found    her    palm    reaching    out    towards    his;    allowing    herself    to    be    lifted    up    in    the    process.    

as    soon    as    legs    had    stabilized    enough    for    her    to    stand    up,    sen    leaned    against    the    corridor’s    walls,    head    downcast    as    she    DESPERATELY    attempted    to    hold    back    the    tears    that    only    continued    to    well    on    either    side    of    her    eyes.    WORDLESSLY,    her    smaller    palm    would    only    clench    tighter    onto    his    hand    as    she    sought    for    comfort    she    was    not    allowed    to    breathe    out.
