230206 BoA anecdotes from the GOT the Beat fansign events for Yes24 and SMTOWN&STORE
Hyoyeon was talking about members’ upcoming concerts and accidentally spoiled that BoA’s concert will be held this March.
BoA: “Hyoyeon-ah, the article [with the formal concert announcement] hasn’t come out yet!” Hyo: “Really? Uh… there is no concert.” (x)
Taeyeon quietly said at the end of fansign that this was GOT the Beat’s first and last fansign event (x)
‘Rose’ is BoA’s favorite song off ‘Stamp On It’ (x)
Hyoyeon wore a backless top with a heart accessory pinned to the left side of her chest. When BoA pointed out her backless top, Hyoyeon replied, “I wore this because I wanted to show it to you, unnie.” Then she started singing “Sexy back~” (like the Justin Timberlake song). Everyone laughed, and BoA said that Hyoyeon should go to a wine bar after the fansign. Hyoyeon replied, “With my unnie. I want to go with my unnie.” (x)
BoA kept poking Hyoyeon’s heart accessory while their hoobaes were doing their parts of the fansign (x)
BoA gave a lot of restaurant recommendations in the Apgujeong area: Bat-Godong (a restaurant that she has been going to since she was a trainee), Dakeuro-ga (per Wendy’s suggestion), Young-cheon-yong-hwa, Songok, Cheongdam, Miss Saigon (x)
A fan told BoA that their dream was to see Seulgi become an SM director like BoA. BoA told them that the line of succession might be too long because Seulgi has many seniors, so she joked that she might as well give up her own spot in the Board of Directors for her. (x, x)
The word for “director” and “moving houses [residency]” is the same in Korean, so Hyoyeon joked that she thought BoA was handing out houses and that she wondered if she should ask for a house from her too. (x)
Wendy asked if Seulgi was within the next top 10 in line to become an SM director; to check, BoA began listing off the SM seniors who were probably next in line. Seulgi was 8th, so she said yes. Wendy said that as long as Seulgi is in the top 10, that’s perfectly fine. (x)
BoA forgot to mention SNSD in her list of seniors who were ahead of Seulgi in the line of succession. So Hyoyeon joked, “Should we join the queue as well?” BoA said, “Oh, you’re right, SNSD is missing on the list.” Hyoyeon replied, “That’s right, we have leader Taeng!”  (x)
A fan asked if BoA enjoyed herself during GOT the Beat’s activities. BoA replied that she had a difficult time (x)
A fan asked BoA about her health [presumably from long COVID-19?], and she said that she’s recovering well. (x)
When asked to give a spoiler about her March concert, BoA said, "이번엔 타이틀곡만 다 불러도 세트리스트가 ㅎㅎ 확실한 건 엄청 신나는 콘서트가 될 거예요!" [someone who speaks Korean, please take one for the team and translate this because my Japanese and Papago powers can only do so much, but she basically said it was going to be exciting!] (x)
A fan asked if BoA was preparing for Forgive Me, Stamp On It, and her own solo concert all at the same time. She said, “Yes, I’m going to die.” (x)
A fan asked BoA if she was interested in other artists aside from Van Gogh, since she’s been going to exhibits a lot recently. She said that she’s become interested in Park Seo-bo, a famous Korean abstract painter. (x) BoA said that she’s at the early stages of becoming interested in viewing and collecting art. (x)
A Japanese fan mentioned that they were very thankful for BoA because she was the only one among the members who was able to speak to them in full Japanese. (x)
While waiting for their turns in the fansign, Taeyeon and BoA apparently kept talking to each other and seemed to get along really well. (x)
These anecdotes were all taken from from Twitter threads written by GOT the Beat fans who attended the event!

The festival began promptly at 6:00 PM with a performance by iKON's Bobby, whose rap charisma instantly ignited the enthusiastic crowd. Bobby playfully sprayed mineral water into the audience, further energizing the atmosphere. The crowd enthusiastically joined in as he set the musical rhythm, and when "Way Back Home" played, Shaun, thrilled by the massive sing-along, knelt on stage, expressing happiness and even speaking a few Malay words.

SHAUN
Next up was Girls' Generation's dance goddess HYOYEON, who delivered a series of powerful songs and dances, earning continuous screams from the audience, living up to her reputation as the group's dance leader.

@fmdhyoyeon!
Tumblr media
in much of duri fashion, he was over by the food, checking up on it, and making sure it was warm. there was no excuse for him to do it, really; that was the staff’s job. but, it probably gave them good excuse for content, and it was better for duri currently, as he didn’t feel like he was suffocating in the room that everyone was lingering around it. sure, it’s a massive apartment, but duri couldn’t help his claustrophobia. nonetheless, he was still doing such a thing, making sure everything was good for when people were hungry. truly, duri’s much like a grandmother in that regard. he looks up, upon hearing someone else, a wide smile against his lips. “ah, hyoyeon!” he greets, his smile growing wider. “are you being sure to eat well? eat a lot!”

**Please do not repost without credit** [TRANS] 2021.10.29 SONE NOTE LIVE vol 34 with Hyoyeon
Staff: You tried making original smartphone accessories this time. Why did you want to make smartphone accessories? Please share your reasons.
Hyoyeon: I believe that smartphone accessories are considered a fashion item. So, I wanted to perfect my own style, think of my own design and try making a smartphone accessory. ^^
Staff: Please share the design theme for the smartphone accessories.
Hyoyeon: For the first one… I tried making a smartphone case that can be used instead of a cross body bag. It’s really gorgeous with matte colored beads and glass-like beads.
For the second one… I made it as a gift, adding beads that spelled “SONE” so that they would always remember me.
Staff: Please share what points you were particular about with the design and what you liked about it.
Hyoyeon: For the first one… The gorgeous pastel colored beads are the point!
For the second one… The lovely colors and “SONE” are the points!
Staff: One accessory out of the two you made today will be given as a present to the fans. How did you feel when making it?
Hyoyeon: I made it while feeling, “Please carry around the accessory with you while thinking of me♡”.
Staff: What was the most difficult part of the process of making the smartphone accessories? Please share why as well.
Hyoyeon: The first one…would be the color combination! It’s a design that I came up with from simulating it in my head!
The second one…would be how it was difficult to handle the small beads. It was hard to thread the string through them. If I took it slow it would take all day (laughs). But it is a work that thoroughly has all my feelings in it♪
Staff: How well do you like the smartphone accessory you made for yourself? Also, how do you want to use it?
Hyoyeon: 99.5 points!! (laughs). I really like it! I’d like to use it even at work!
Staff: How would you like the winner of your smartphone accessory to use it?
Hyoyeon: I’d like them to always carry it and remember me! It’s the first time that I’ve made smartphone accessories, so I haven’t made them for the members yet. If I had the chance, I’d like to make and give smartphone accessories and necklaces to the members♪
Staff: Please share what you’ve been up to recently.
Hyoyeon: Activities for my single, “Second”, that was released in August have finished and I’m working on my next album. Look forward to it, everyone~!
Staff: This will be released in October, so it’ll be autumn, which is a season for big appetites. Is there anything you take care of to maintain your figure?
Hyoyeon: I’m trying to not eat past 6pm!
Staff: Also, speaking of October is the Halloween season. Please share a memorable Halloween costume and episode.
Hyoyeon: I once wore a rose dress, my makeup had a spider web on my forehead, jewels on my eyebrows, and red lips to match my outfit!! (laughs). It was a unique costume and distinctive makeup~
Staff: Finally, a message for SONE JAPAN, please.
Hyoyeon: SONE JAPAN~ I really want to see you^^! Thank you always for your support on SNS! I am working hard to prepare great songs and performances to respond to everyone's support~ Always take care of yourself~ I love you♡

Slytherpuff AU
Taemin wakes up one night, swiping at his arm because he thought he felt something crawling up it. He wanted to go back to sleep, because it was still dark in the dorm and he was still groggy with sleep. But then something brushed his leg, and he pulled back his covers only to find his bed infested with all sorts of bugs and spiders, and he shrieked and leapt from his bed and tried to shake out his pajamas while his roommates all woke up and shouted to find out what was wrong.
Then he hears the laughing at the door, and he sees Chanyeol and Kyungsoo practically falling on top of each other, and he gets so angry he can’t contain it. He points his wand at them and hexes them, a nasty spell that one of his older cousins, Hyoyeon, taught him over the winter break.
But when he sees how angry that makes his cousins, he scrambles past them and hurries to the door of the girl’s dorm, pounding on the door and shouting for Hyoyeon.
“What happened? What’s wrong?” Hyoyeon asks, looking a cross between concerned and annoyed. “Taemin, it’s four in the morning. What the fuck?”
“They put bugs in my bed and then laughed at me so I hexed them but now they’re pissed and they’re gonna kill me and you gotta hide me!”
He hides behind her just as Chanyeol and Kyungsoo find him and she turns to glare at them as she holds Taemin behind her back.
“What did you two losers do to him?” she snaps. “It’s the middle of the night! It’s a school night! I oughtta take points from you both!”
“Just let us deal with him,” they both snap at her. “He hexed us!”
“Because you’ve been bullying him!”
“It’s not bullying!”
“It is too,” she snaps. “Stop picking on him. He’s a first year, you idiots, why don’t you pick on someone your own size?”
“Why do you always go to prefects, you little rat,” Chanyeol hisses at Taemin. “First the dumb Hufflepuff and now her!”
“Jinki isn’t dumb!” Taemin snaps, and he moves away just enough to point his wand at Chanyeol. “Take it back!”
“Put your damn wand away,” Hyoyeon orders, shoving Taemin’s arm down. “And you two - ten points! Each! I’m not going to tell you again to leave him alone. Go back to bed, before I get Suho up. Or worse, a professor.”
Only after the two fourth years are back in their dorm room does Hyoyeon walk Taemin back to his own room, and waving her own wand to banish the bugs infesting Taemin’s bed and to freshen all his bedding. Then she has Taemin sit on the bed, and she smiles at him in what she hopes is a reassuring way.
“And twenty points to you,” she says softly. “For getting back at them and standing up for yourself. Try not to need to get me next time, alright?”
“They looked like they were gonna curse me,” Taemin says softly.
“They wouldn’t if they knew what was good for them,” Hyoyeon says seriously. “Whether they like it or not, you outrank us. If they don’t learn to respect that - make them learn.”
“Is that the only reason you’re nice to me?” Taemin mumbles, picking at a thread in his bedsheets.
“No,” Hyoyeon says without hesitation. “I’m nice to you because you’re my baby cousin and you look at me like the sun shines out of my ass.”
Taemin pouts at her then, which only makes her laugh.
“And because you actually listen to me, unlike those two losers.”
Taemin just scoffs at that.
“Now go back to sleep,” she says gently. “All of you. If you need anything else, go bother Suho or one of the other boys. Girls need their beauty sleep.”
The next morning at breakfast, Hyoyeon sits next to Taemin and smiles at him.
“What do you want from me?” he whines, because he knows what that look on her face means.
“Nothing too much,” she says offhandedly, grabbing a piece of toast. “I just want you to do me a favor. Since I was so nice and got rid of the two buffoons for you last night.”
“What kinda favor?”
“I want you to introduce me to someone,” Hyoyeon says softly, and Taemin’s nose scrunches up when he sees the way she starts blushing. “That Gryffindor fourth year your cousin Jinki always hangs around.”
“You mean Minho?” Taemin asks. “Why?”
“Don’t ask too many questions,” she huffs. “Just introduce me, will ya?”
“What’s in it for me?”
“I already helped you last night, remember?” she scoffs.
“You’re a prefect, it’s your job to help an innocent little first year,” Taemin says with a smirk.
“Get him to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend and I’ll keep the two losers away from you, to the best of my ability of course.”
Taemin frowns, his eyebrows furrowing, “You mean like a date?”
“Shush!” she hisses, slapping a hand over his mouth. “Just - just go ask him, will ya?”
“What, right now?”
“Just go!” she whines. “It’s already Thursday, the Hogsmeade visit is just two days away!”
He huffs and stomps over to where Minho is sitting with Kibum at the Ravenclaw table, and he taps his shoulder with a nervous, shaky hand.
“Um, hi,” Taemin says, not quite sure how to start. He knows Jinki is friends with them, and they’ve been nice to him, but he’s not sure if that’s only because Jinki has been with him every time.
“Hey Taemin,” Minho smiles. “What’s up?”
“Um,” Taemin stammers. “Well, I guess, it’s Hogsmeade weekend, right?”
“First years can’t go to Hogsmeade,” Kibum says. “Trust me, we’ve tried sneaking off plenty of times.”
“No, it’s not me, it’s,” Taemin stutters. “Well. My cousin Hyoyeon is going.”
“The fifth year?” Minho asks. “The prefect?”
“Yeah,” Taemin says, nodding her head. “She’s really nice. And pretty. And you should go with her.”
Kibum smirks and turns to the Slytherin table where Hyoyeon’s face is bright red and half-hidden behind the Daily Prophet. Kibum turns back to Minho then and nudges him, whispering something in his ear.
“Um,” Minho stammers then, and his face is turning a light pink. “Why don’t you introduce us, Taemin?”
“Right now?”
“Yes right now,” Kibum scoffs. “Go, go. Introduce them.”
“Why am I everyone’s errand boy all of a sudden,” Taemin grumbles, but he leads Minho over to the Slytherin table, and soon enough, the fifth year Slytherin and fourth year Gryffindor are making plans to meet up to walk to Hogsmeade together.
“Can I eat breakfast now?” Taemin whines, and Hyoyeon throws a piece of bacon at him.
A week later, the two are dating. Taemin is actually kind of proud of himself for helping with it.

🍐 - How many ships have you considered but rejected for your muse? — I don’t think I’ve ever rejected one!
🍊 - What are your favourite genres of threads? Fluff? Angst? Etc — I’m a slut for fluff (but also angst)
🍎 - If you had to chose a new faceclaim for your muse, who would you pick? — I’ve considered changing my faceclaim for Angel from Hyoyeon to Hyuna!

listen to me — chapter 46
LISTEN TO ME — 0046
listen to me masterlist;
WORDS: 1.7K
Tumblr media
Hyoyeon closed her eyes and allowed herself to doze for the first time since sitting on one end of the small sofa in front of Jisung's bed. Her elbow resting on the arm of the soft furniture supported her cheek against her hand. The rings on her fingers bothered her, but she was so tired that the little red marks on her skin made no difference, nor did the sunlight streaming through the half-open window reflect weakly on the opposite wall.
It was about nine thirty in the morning and Jisung hadn't yet woken up. Hyoyeon had been there for a long time, waiting for him to finally open his eyes, but the fatigue of a sleepless night began to truly affect her, sometimes dispersing her focus. A nurse visited the room, hours earlier and offered coffee and some cookies along with a polite request for her to lie down and get some rest, but Hyoyeon just accepted the disposable cup and claimed to be fine. Now, however, it was more than apparent how much she needed at least one pillow to avoid the stiff neck the bad position would give her if she insisted on staying at it any longer, even though her last will was to open her eyes and abandon her own short and fragile moments of sleep. Anyway, those moments were interrupted by the sound of the door opening. Hyoyeon jumped in place and was forced to straighten when she noticed the presence of a nurse, or perhaps a doctor, she didn't know.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," the girl apologized. Although her vision was slightly blurred from sleep, Hyoyeon assumed the girl was about the same age as Chan and Woojin. She was of medium height, had blond hair, and in her lab coat was a sign with the name Jung Jinsoul written on it. "I just came to know if you don't want to go to the bathroom or eat something. I'll stay by the kitty's side," she referred to Jisung with a minimal shake of her head as she said the last sentence. Her tone was so casual that Hyoyeon didn't even know if she was being pretentious or not, but the highlight was that Hyoyeon couldn't take the urge to go to the bathroom anymore.
"I need to go to the bathroom," she got up without question, determined to use the bedroom's own toilet. Her feet, however, stopped midway and she looked at the girl before saying: "Take good care of him, I'll be right back."
"Yes, ma'am." Jinsoul waited for Hyoyeon to close the door to approach the bed. She kept her arms crossed for the seconds her eyes traveled over Jisung's slightly injured face; finally, she let out an audible sigh. "It wasn't enough that pretty girl, now you too... What a sin, my God."
And as if Jinsoul's tiny intonation was the last thing left to penetrate Han's mind and finally bring him back from unconsciousness, Jisung's eyelids fluttered and he slowly opened his eyes. The natural light bothered his pupils for the next second, resulting in a grimace followed by a brief moment of dispersion until he noticed the serum needle stuck in his skin and the bandages on his shoulder. The intense pain spread through his head as memories of last night took shape. Jisung, then, ignored any discomfort as he quickly lifted his body and sat on the mattress.
"Take it easy, kitty," Jinsoul warned, though she made no attempt to approach to try to stop him. "You're fine, but not so much."
Jisung ignored her too and looked around the room. When he saw that no one else was there — at least not in his field of vision —, he had no choice but to ask the doctor: "My girlfriend, do you know if she's okay?"
Jinsoul parted her lips to answer, but was intercepted by the sound of the bathroom door being opened. Hyoyeon walked in quick steps and sat in a free space of the bed, then wrapping her son's face in her hands and checking to see if he was really well.
"Is something hurting, my love? Do you want me to call your doctor?" she asked, distressed. However, the last thing Jisung cared about at the moment was his health.
"Mom, I need to see Jinah" he took her hands off very gently, but Hyoyeon knew it wasn't rude. An almost palpable anguish was explicit in every trace of Jisung.
"You can't, baby. For now, the visits haven't been released yet."
"But she's fine, isn't she?"
Hyoyeon rubbed one hand in the other, unable to sustain Jisung's urgent look. There was a slight bruise on his cheek and a small bandage on his forehead, the latter almost hidden by his hair, and never had something so simple captured the woman's attention in such a crucial situation, although she only wanted to focus on anything but answer that question.
"Mom!" he insisted, becoming even more agonized over the delay.
Hyoyeon pressed her lips into a thin line and, finally, nodded yes. "She's fine, just needs a lot of rest," she lied. Her initial intention was not to deceive him, but she feared that Jisung wasn't well enough to deal with the truth. "And you too, lie back down."
"It's a lie" he found the obvious. "You don't even have the guts to look me in the eye to say that!"
Hyoyeon fumbled all over. She had about three seconds to make up another lie — one more convincing this time —, but acting under pressure was far from one of her skills. But if any bullshit would come out of her mouth when she opened it again, Hyoyeon would never know, because, before that, Jinsoul intervened:
"It's better to say it all at once. He'll find out anyway."
One part of Hyoyeon wanted to be irritated by the doctor's intrusion, but the other part knew she was absolutely right. Handling a time bomb seemed a thousand times easier than admitting the inevitable.
"Promise me to be calm?"
"Just say it!"
"I figured you would answer that" with one last breath, Hyoyeon let the tension fade. She took Jisung's hand and wrapped it in a warm squeeze, intrinsically saying that no matter what, she would be there for him. "Jinah fell into a coma, dear," she said lightly and tenderly, pausing for her words to be absorbed. "I'm so sorry, for real."
She waited, but saw no change in the boy's expression for the next few minutes. Hyoyeon didn't know how long they had spent in the same absence of reaction, but, after what seemed like hours, he swallowed and painfully clenched his jaw. Their irises darkened and the fragile glow, just present in them, faded away, replaced by something much harder and sharper — that's when Jisung locked himself inside.
Hyoyeon felt his hand break away from hers. She was supposed to hug him, but, she didn't have the guts again. Of all the returns, this was what she least expected to receive, because, in all her life, Hyoyeon had never seen Jisung look so cold.
"Do you want to see her?" Jinsoul broke the heavy silence. However, not even her tempting suggestion was able to avert Jisung's impassive eyes from the white wall in front of him.
"I thought she couldn't receive visitors for now," Hyoyeon retorted, somewhat confused. Jinsoul just shrugged.
"I'll find a way."
Jisung answered nothing. His mother was startled when he took the serum out of care, got out of bed and put on the cotton shoes the hospital offered to the patients; then, he opened the bedroom door and left. Hyoyeon shot an insulted look at Jinsoul, who shrugged a second time.
"I'm just a physiotherapist, Mrs., Han," she replied and spun on her heel, also leaving the room. "Wait for me, kitty, I'll show you where it is."
The road to the ICU wasn't very long. Hyoyeon joined them at some point and had to work hard to keep up with the pace of the walk — reminders that she was no longer in her twenties being thrown at her face as her breathing grew more and more unregulated. She could only breathe normally when they entered the elevator, but not two minutes passed before the metal doors opened on a less crowded floor. Every room had a glass opening in the wall, so that people passing down the hall could see part of what was happening inside. Since most of the blinds were closed, Hyoyeon could see only one gentleman in one of the beds, until Jinsoul shoved her hands in her coat pockets and stopped in front of a completely uncovered opening.
"I can't let you in, but..." is already something. The physical therapist left the rest of the sentence in the air and waited for Jisung to approach.
Heart pounding, almost shrinking to a halt, Han shortened the distance from the glass and felt his legs go strong as gelatin as his eyes fell on the single bed. He snorted almost imperceptibly, and his rigid posture barely collapsed into a million insignificant shards.
This wasn't his Jinah, couldn't be.
The always smiling, mischievous face was purple and swollen thanks to the amount of bruises on her skin. Her equally injured arms were filled with bandages and threads that controlled her vital signs, the latter connected to the various devices against the wall. There was also a serum holder and a blood bag, as well as a thick tube attached to an inhaler mask that covered her mouth and nose.
Jisung tightened his grip on his jaw and stepped back, not crying, not showing himself even more useless than he had the night before.
He shouldn't have drunk, shouldn't have asked Jinah to drive instead, shouldn't have let her driving even noticing that the car was behaving strangely, and worse: Jisung shouldn't have been so weak when he tried to stop her to sacrifice for both of them, but he was, and now it was late.
For Jinah, he didn't want to continue to feel like the most failed person in the world. He was trying hard not to cry or to fall into utter despair — at least on the outside, since inside Jisung crumbled and the rubble seemed endless. He didn't need an exam to make sure his heart was bleeding, the absurd pain in his chest was more than enough. Stunned, he took one more step back, and his trembling legs almost gave way before he could muster a little strength to get away from it for good.
Jisung already felt as if he had lost her; consequently, he also lost himself.

MAY 2019 BC ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULES & REVIEW
Members may earn 3 points each (up to 6 points) for writing, by the end of May 31 KST:
A solo para of 400+ words based on their monthly schedule (does not count toward your monthly limit).
A thread of six posts (three per participant, including the starter) based on the monthly schedule.
Threads and solos do not have to take place directly during an important date listed on the schedule, but must be related to what the muse is mentioned to be doing in the paragraph explaining their schedule/the company’s schedule for the month and/or their thoughts on the mentioned activities or lack thereof.
These schedules may be updated throughout the month if new information needs to be added.
Overall Company
Most of the groups under BC are busy this month with concerts or comebacks or preparations for comebacks, so there isn’t much happening at central BC headquarters requiring the attention of all artists. There are rumors about news coming about the Goeun lawsuit soon, though it’s hard to tell what’s just rumor and what’s based in truth.
Important dates:
N/A
BC Soloist 1 - currently unavailable
BC Soloist 2 - currently unavailable
Decipher
Another month, another round of promotions. The members are surely used to this after all these years and nothing with this round of promotions is too out of the ordinary. They will be making an appearance at KCON Japan to reach out to their Japanese fans in line with plans to release a Japanese album before the end of the year. Coming back at the same time as Origin doesn’t fair well for any chances of a music show win which isn’t ideal when Decipher already seems to be BC’s last priority out of their boy groups, but their upcoming fan meeting selling out as soon as tickets open is a good sign that they can still bring in good money for the company.
Important dates:
May 3: Fansign in Gangnam.
May 11: Fansign in Incheon.
May 18: Performance at KCON Japan MCountdown (also performing: Alien and MARS).
May 25: Hallyu PopFest Singapore (also performing: MARS).
May 29: End of music show promotions.
              ↳ Decipher R & V
No schedules for the month.
BEE
With the mini-album recording finished, BEE will film the music video for “I Swear” mid-month, after which BC will officially announce their comeback to the public. They also have a university festival and a concert booked and a cover photo shoot and interview (which will be translated) for the magazine UWeekly SG. In the interview, the members will talk about their fitness and body management tips, though everything will, of course, go through BC’s approval process before being published.
Important dates:
May 10: Seokyung University Festival performance (also attending: Gal.actic).
May 25: Seowon Valley Green Concert in Cheongju (also performing: 7ROPHY).
May 26: Photo shoot for UWeekly.
Knight
For the members of the group who aren’t in White Knight, this month is the main recording month for their next mini-album. This may be their last comeback of the year so that the back half of the year can be spent focusing Knight on touring so BC can continue to concentrate their efforts on CHARM if rumors are to be believed, but management hasn’t discussed BC’s priorities with the members that deeply.
Important dates:
May 19: Performance at KCON Japan MCountdown (also performing: WISH).
May 23: Performance at 2019 Fiestar K-Pop Concert in Incheon (also performing: Lipstick).
May 26: Performance at Hallyu PopFest Singapore (also performing: 7ROPHY, Alien, and Element).
              ↳ White Knight
The four dates of their encore tour are spread out from mid-May to late May. They’ll fly out to Japan on May 12th and will return to Seoul with the rest of the full group on the 20th after KCON. They’ll fly back to Japan early on the 24th and will fly to Singapore to perform with the full group at Hallyu PopFest Singapore on the day between their final two concerts, before coming back to Seoul the day after their final concert.
Important dates:
May 14: White Knight ‘Magical Circus’ 2019 - Special Edition tour concert at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
May 15: White Knight ‘Magical Circus’ 2019 - Special Edition tour concert at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
May 24: White Knight ‘Magical Circus’ 2019 - Special Edition tour concert at Kobe World Memorial Hall in Kobe, Japan.
May 25: White Knight ‘Magical Circus’ 2019 - Special Edition tour concert at Kobe World Memorial Hall in Kobe, Japan.
May 27: White Knight ‘Magical Circus’ 2019 - Special Edition tour concert at Kobe World Memorial Hall in Kobe, Japan.
Lipstick
This month may be the last month that could be called somewhat of a break that the members get to a true break month until they finish touring at the end of the year. Tour and comeback rehearsals will be in full gear all month with long practice hours, but they’ll only be making two public appearances as a group. BC’s split the group into two groups and assigned two special cover stages for the set list that the members will be practicing in addition to their greatest hits as a group:
Push It
Sooyoung - Leader/main rapper
Hyoyeon - Maknae/main dancer/lead rapper
Yuri - Rapper/vocal
Dance For You
Euaerin - Lead dancer/vocal
Sungah - Lead vocal
Kyungri - Lead vocal/lead dancer
Important dates:
May 3: Yonsei University Festival performance (also performing: Gold Star Soloist 1, Dimensions Soloist 1, Femme Fatale, and Lucid).
May 23: Performance at 2019 Fiestar K-Pop Concert in Incheon (also performing: Knight).
              ↳ Lip Gloss
No schedules.
CHARM
Their third annual CHARMINGland fanmeetings are the main schedule for CHARM this month. BC wants to really push a fan connection for CHARM now to try to transcend the barrier keeping them from ascending to top boy group status, in turn sacrificing some of the unattainable image BC is known for. Other than the fanmeetings, a performance at the 2019 Dream Concert, and the release of the Chinese version of their latest single at the end of the month, BC is mostly keeping CHARM out of the public eye as a full group this month due to recent events — this is equal part an attempt to appeal to fans who have been petitioning for a break for the members and a message to the members to get themselves together to present a clean front before they’re allowed to begin moving out, which is likely to happen next month. Their dating ban officially ends on their fourth anniversary this month, but the members will be called into a meeting to remind them how important their image is to their success, and, in subtext, that this doesn’t mean they can’t still get in trouble if any higher-ups hear they’re dating.
Important dates:
May 10: CHARMINGland fanmeeting at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.
May 11: CHARMINGland fanmeeting at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.
May 12: CHARMINGland fanmeeting at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.
May 18: Performance at 2019 Dream Concert at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Seoul, South Korea (also attending: Fuse and 7ROPHY)
May 30: Release of Chinese version of “Home”.
WISH
After filming the MV on the first few days of the month, WISH will have their comeback in the middle of the month. It’s a bit of a gradual concept shift, not too different in sound from their usual releases, but with more girl crush visual elements than fans have come to expect from WISH. BC expects this comeback to be explosive to cement their top girl group status against increasing competition from groups like Femme Fatale and 7ROPHY. While their physical sales only continue to increase, the comeback doesn’t live up to BC’s sky high expectations digitally and in general public impact, which becomes evident shortly after release. Nevertheless, WISH will continue to reach out to two of their key demographics with a university festival performance and a performance at KCON Japan this month, while also preparing to kick off their world tour in July.
Important dates:
May 3: Filming of Stage K episode (to be aired May 12).
May 7: Filming of Idol Room double episode (to be aired May 14 and May 21).
May 13: Release of “Fancy” & Fancy You mini album showcase, promotions continue until June 13.
May 16: Fansign in Mapo, Seoul.
May 17: Sungkyunkwan University Festival performance (also performing: Gold Star Soloist 2).
May 18: Performance at Rakuten GirlsAward 2019 S/S at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, Japan.
May 19: Performance at KCON Japan MCountdown (also performing: Knight).
May 24: Fansign in Gangnam, Seoul.
May 25: Fansign in Yeouido, Seoul.
May 26: Fansign in Gangnam, Seoul.

Note
saw your tweet on twitter about the sone civil war. The chart data was never the issue. It was how the fandom keep on slandering and shaming taeyeon when this kind of stuff happens. The sales thing became an issue because of the penguin and other fans start to attack taeyeon and shade her. That chart account was one the contributors. TY stans just basically had enough.
I will just say one unpopular opinion of mine. I see a range of fans because I follow a variety of accounts and it is the same problem across the board. Each fandom has fans who are saying the same thing.
Whether it’s Taeyeon fans, Sunny fans, Tiffany fans, Hyoyeon fans, Yuri fans, Sooyoung fans, Yoona fans, Seohyun fans - there are fans in every group that “just basically had enough”.
Every fandom has fans who are unhappy with other fans for one reason or another. Every fandom has people who feel their fav is being slandered/shaded/unsupported by other fans in one way or another.I have seen a wide variety of such rants on Twitter.
If I am willing to spend the time, I can definitely dig out rude/aggressive/extreme accounts from every single fandom. Rude, aggressive fans exist everywhere. There are rude, aggressive, extreme TY stan accounts just as there are rude, aggressive, extreme SN/TF/HY/YR/SY/YA/SH stan accounts.
No fandom is clear of them. The difference is the sense of numbers, because some fandoms are larger, hence it seems like there are more of them when in reality, the % is probably about the same.
The common thread is that everyone who is complaining feels ‘the fandom/the other fans’ are attacking their fav. This is a sweeping statement. If I were to dig out all the offensive accounts from each different fandom, you can expect to see the usual names appearing. How are they in any way representative of any fandom at all?
Based on general statistics, considering how fans number in the thousands, the % of offensive accounts active on Twitter should be only about 1% or less. So to say ‘the fandom’ slanders and shames any member is wholly inaccurate and sweeping.
Personally, I feel that there are many accounts that choose to reply/respond aggressively which in turn triggers a more aggressive response from the other party, and it escalates into an extended ‘civil war’ because more and more people join in, triggered by increasingly rude responses. Eventually, fans on both sides end up tearing down the other in order to defend their fav because people never say nice things when fighting.
Meanwhile, the 90+% of each fandom watches on and munches on popcorn, go on a block/mute spree while the usual aggressive, extreme accounts wage war on every single little issue there is for them to fight over.
What’s my conclusion? Our time is not worth wasting on such pathetic accounts like penguin that exist only to pick fights with people online. It’s not mentally good for us to pay attention to such things. Surround ourselves with other positive, healthy, sensible accounts and enjoy our time in our fandom.

EPISODE FIVE OUTLINE
The newest episode is the first episode where tracks are actually being created; producers from all six companies are to be called in and put with groups of trainees to make a song, which will be recorded and performed.
TASKS
To earn points for you trainee, please complete the following tasks. These are not mandatory, and can be done at any time and still be counted. Refer back to last week’s tasks for more you can do, if you have not done them already
Weekly Confessional: post an interview or confessional about how your character is adapting to dorm life and the competition, along with their reactions to this weeks big challenge.*
Drabble: Write a short drabble (IC or OOC) about your character’s relationship with other trainees, be it the other guys in the competition or the ones back at their company! You can write about their friends, their rivals, the people who push them hard, or other trainees who have taught them a lot-- it’s completely up to you!
Threads: threads to do with the show can earn you points too. Para threads (200+ words) are worth more points than gif chats and one liners. Threads played out to their completion are worth even more points; if you dinish a thread, submit the link to the last post in the thread to the Idol Project blog.
Self Paras: self paras to do with the show (ie practicing, dorm life, self reflection, performances, calls home) can also earn you points. These can be done as often as you’d like as long as you provide some variety in the content.
Weekly Challenge: The trainees have been grouped up and then assigned to a producer to create a songs together. They will be recording it and performing it, and the tracks will be released on music distributing sites for public consumption. Write a short para (IC or OOC) about your character’s reaction to all of this– we’d like to see something about the writing process, their partner(s), the producer, recording, and the actual performance.*
Tasks can be completed at any time. Episode-specific tasks are indicated with a little ‘*’ above, so when you complete them (even if you end up doing it in a few weeks or something), be sure to mark it as ‘EPISODE FIVE’, be it as a title or in the info before your self para or something like that. Any completed tasks and challenges can be tagged ‘rivalsipdone’
WEEKLY PERFORMANCE
For this week’s performance, as stated above, each duo/trio will be creating their own song with help from a famous producer. We have provided each pair with a song, but if you and your partner discuss and find a better option, message the main and we’ll see what we can do for you! If you are one of the producers or featured artists and you’d like to be taken off the list, message us for that as well. We have provided suggestions for line distribution below the cut, though that is just a suggestion based on the position, rank, and knowledge of the character. The suggestions are as follows:
Sean, Rey and Mirae (produced by Brandi) Born to Be Wild Jisung and Addie (produced by Enzo) Dream Kyle and Yena (produced by Dylan) Half an Hour Hyunjoo, Raekyung and Artemis (produced by Ghost) Hollywood Chanmi and Choko (produced by Shrines) Ice Chu Bambi, Mercedes and Myungji (produced by Svetlana) Why
WEEKLY VOTE
This is for the entire roleplay, not just the trainees! VOTE HERE for your favorites! It will be noted that the popularity vote results affect the ranking very little. The vote is just for fun.
SPECIAL NOTE
Points each trainee earns this week will be combined with their group for an overall total and performances will be ranked based on that. Dependent on those rankings, there is an opportunity for trainees to be awarded extra points. Groups with less members than other groups will get a bonus to make up for it-- their combined score + 33% of that score.
Furthermore, this week will feature a very large elimination, as to prepare for the final.
The weekly ranking and a summary of episode five will be posted on August 16th.

[TRANS] 2018.02.28 SONE JAPAN SONE NOTE LIVE vol 14 with Hyoyeon
Staff: You tried out more physical activities like flying yoga and horseback riding before. This time you tried making natural cosmetics that focuses on using your fingers, so how was it? Please share if there were any difficult or creative points.
Hyoyeon: I’ve always been interested in natural cosmetics so I really concentrated and had fun! It’s very delicate work where the scent can change drop by drop, so concentration is required. I concentrated so much that I almost lost track of time!
Staff: Do you normally do this kind of detailed work?
Hyoyeon: I’ve always like knitting, handicrafts, and cross stitch, etc., though I don’t think people can really imagine that (laughs). I have very dry skin, so I can’t wear clothing with coarse fabric. Because of that, I often choose good quality threads by myself and make clothes. Once I think about it, it’s the same with cosmetics. I think I can safely use cosmetics if I check the materials directly with my own eyes while making them. I carefully look up cosmetics and then buy them because of my dry skin, so this was a very meaningful time for me. I always carry around hand wash with me, so I was happy to be able to make it with good materials. Since skin lotion directly touches the face the most, I use one that moisturizes and doesn’t irritate the skin. I tried my best directly making my own skin lotion that I’d like to use in today’s experience.
Staff: What was a difficult step?
Hyoyeon: I had to measure how many grams drop by drop and that needed more concentration that I thought. The weight changes with just a drop, and I heard that it can affect the scent from the instructor, but it was interesting since I used my sense of sensitivity. I tried to bring out a good scent.
Staff: Do you normally use perfume?
Hyoyeon: Instead of choosing one perfume to use, I choose various scents that match the clothing or that day’s concept or feeling. Among them, my favorite is baby powder!
Staff: A lot of different materials were prepared to make natural cosmetics, so were there any favorites or points why you chose the materials you used for each item?
Hyoyeon: The natural aroma oils! They’re organic and from natural origins so I believe they cause less irritation and they’re good for the body. I’ve always been interested in things that are good for your body, and even today I love “natural” things. I made solid perfume not just for myself, but for SONE JAPAN as a present. Since perfume is something that can change your mood with that scent, I included a favorite natural aroma oil with the name, “Happy”. The instructor told me that the scent is to bring out a positive mood like it’s name. I chose it to express my feelings for everyone in SONE JAPAN to always be cheerful and have a positive mind, and to support SNSD with that kind of mindset. It’s filled with my gratitude for everyone’s constant and cheerful support.
Staff: You made skin lotion and solid perfume this time, but is there any item that you want to try making next time?
Hyoyeon: I want to try to make something nice that’s a moisturizing cosmetic. With the changing seasons, especially winter when it’s very dry, I want to try making a moisturizing body oil and cream!
Staff: If you could make another solid perfume, what kinda of perfume would you want to make?
Hyoyeon: I want to make a solid perfume with my favorite scent, baby powder.
Staff: If you were to make a handmade cosmetic and give it to a member as a present, what would you give? Please share the reasons for that item and member!
Hyoyeon: First, I want to give hand wash to Sooyoung. She always carries around hand wash to the point where I would borrow and use hers. When washing your hands outside, sometimes there is no soap or hand wash, so I’d like to try making portable paper soap as well. I think my favorite scent baby powder is nice, but I think jasmine would really suit Sooyoung (laughs). Also, I want to give Yuri a solid perfume as a present. She loves perfume and is very sensitive to the scents that she immediately knows what scent I’m wearing. She knows a lot about perfume, however I feel some pressure to give her perfume as a present...but I’d forcibly make a baby powder solid perfume and give it to her. I wonder if she’d use it (laughs).
Staff: Please share if there are points you pay attention to when it comes to cosmetics or skin care items!
Hyoyeon: I make my own facial packs. Mixing yogurt and honey, or mixing oil to grated vegetables, etc., I use things that are found around the house and easily make facial packs. However, I’ve never made skin lotion before, but I got to try making them with this experience!
I’m usually concerned with moisturizers for skin care. There is a lot of cosmetics for whiter skin and anti-aging, but I choose based on the moisturizing effect. Like I mentioned before, I have dry skin so I usually choose items with lots of moisturizers. Dryness is a cause for wrinkles.
Staff: Do you have any preferences for facial cleansing?
Hyoyeon: There’s a lot of times where I wear a lot of makeup for work, so I’m always concerned about washing it all off. To counter dry skin from cleansing, I mix aroma oil with the facial cleanser. Soon I want to try growing my own aloe (laughs).
Staff: What skin care item do you always have for winter?
Hyoyeon: Oil and milky lotion. I mix them, so natural coconut oil is a must have. Dry skin won’t immediately absorb just oil, so I think mixing it with milky lotion will slightly raise the moisturizing ability.
Staff: Do you have any make up points to share with SONE JAPAN?
Hyoyeon:  Before, I did one point makeup with using colors as points, but recently I’ve come to think that natural skin tone is important. In order to not look unnatural, it is best to match with your own skin color. There was a point where I liked skin lightening makeup, but if you overdo it you can see the border lines on your face and neck (laughs). I believe that natural makeup that isn’t overdone is the best. Also, in order to understand your own skin type, you should try a lot of tests. I failed a lot, but that helped me understand my own skin tone. I’ve finally come to understand that natural makeup suits me the best (laughs).
Staff: During the last shooting, Taeyeon said that she would like to try peach makeup. Is there a makeup that you would like to try?
Hyoyeon: Peach makeup is nice and feels so lively! I want to try a more dimensional, shadow makeup. And that’s also natural looking and doesn’t look like I’m wearing makeup. But shadow makeup is difficult without specialist skills. It requires delicate skills to shape the outline of your face, make your face look smaller, and make your cheekbones stand out less... Actually, I practice at home sometimes (laughs).
Staff: Do the members recommend each other cosmetics or exchange beauty tips? Also, please share if there are any episodes of members giving each other cosmetics as presents.
Hyoyeon: When we find something nice, we share it in the group chat and recommend it to each other. Also, we’ve given cosmetics as birthday presents, for example when giving a cute colored lip balm, we decide on a color like pink and then collect a lot of pink lip balms then give a whole bunch of lip balms as a present.
Then when we give it all we say, “Use all of this” (laughs). I’ve received presents like that before, and when I asked how they chose it, I was surprised that they said that they tried all of the lip balms and decided on these. I thought that they bought it after just looking at the sample colors, but they really tried out all of the various pink tones and then bought them. I was so moved! Then, there’s another present that’s memorable; I received lip balms of pink, orange, and purple that I would normally never use from the members. Like you would use these on barbie dolls (laughs). They must have thought that I would never buy these by myself, so they conversely bought them.
They wanted me to use them during times like member birthday parties that have a set concept. I was happy that they really thought it out for me. When giving myself a present, I mostly give myself a manicure. I would match the concept of the activities at that time, or do the usual white and skin tone, or a series of browns. I have to select colors that are easy to use, otherwise the manicure gets inflexible (laughs).
Staff: Please share if there’s anything that you’re into right now or recently begun to collect.
Hyoyeon: I have a long dance history, but music is the most important part of dance. The fact is, music is the one performing on stage. Whether it’s song or dance, I love listening to the beat of the music, so I’ve recently been learning about DJ mixing and making music. While thinking about matching the music to the stage I want to show, I produce a beat. I listened to a lot of remixed versions of songs during the end of the year shows, but I want to mix my own song and I think it’d be nice to stand on stage with that song. I’m still learning, so I think that it will be awhile before I can show everyone.
Staff: Among all your activities up to this point, what is an achievement that left an impression on you?
Hyoyeon: I can say that SNSD’s 10th anniversary is the most memorable for me. I heard that a 10th anniversary for a girl group is very rare. That’s why I feel even deeper emotion, and I just think it’s a wondrous thing. All the members are amazing and all the staff that supported us for 10 years are also amazing. Of course, there are staff members who weren’t with us for all 10 years, but everyone who worked with SNSD are amazing. Also, it is all thanks to the strength and love of the fans that brought us here, and it is precisely because of that that all of the moments were wonderful. With all of that, I believe that this 10th anniversary is the most impressionable. Looking back on everything up until now, it gives me encouragement and energy to move forward. With the 10 anniversary, I feel like I can walk into the future with even more energy than before.
Staff: Please share if there are points where you changed as a group or individual, or felt that you’ve grown.
Hyoyeon: I really feel that I developed a lot. 10 years ago, I still can’t forget the moment when I debuted. My readiness is different compared to now, and I feel that I really grew with each action, no matter how small, step by step. Living together with the members let me learn a lot from them. Also, meeting a lot of people has helped me develop. Activities within Korea helped of course, but in other countries learning those languages and being active overseas has allowed me to reach even bigger dreams, and I believe I was able to gain lots of world experiences. I want to meet many many more people in this big, huge world from now! Is that dream too big!? (laughs) There are countless things I’ve learned and grown from through SNSD activities. Personally, I used to have a relatively short temper, but now I’ve calmed down a lot (laughs).
Staff: Finally, a message please for SONE JAPAN!
Hyoyeon: Recently I’ve been letting you all know about what I’ve been up to recently through SNS and the SONE JAPAN blog, but I read a lot of your messages through your projects and SNS comments. Although I say that my Japanese is still rather bad... During group activities, I often relied on the other members, but now I’m making the effort to use a dictionary and be able to read your Japanese messages now. So while studying Japanese and reading all your messages, I feel as if I can communicate with SONE JAPAN even more! I’ll go see you all again, so please give your support!

I’m making a Hit The Stage archive for Luna/Malee with videos for each episode/theme and the score and place Luna got, because hey it doesn’t just help me with her character development but these performances can also be used in threads or plots as well! Any other Hit The Stage contestant though, if not happy with her positions (like want to be in a specific place in one of the positions) please talk with me :)
I’m basing her HTS journey as a mix of both Hyoyeon and Ten - the first for obvious reasons and the later because the public had yet to understand his stage/choreography choices. It was really fun to search for this presentations and honestly, I had a blast lol so on the span of 6 days, you’ll see on your dash one of her dances.
