i tried to emulate the splatoon style, and failed miserably. these are dnd characters in a splatoon au! i've given too much thought to this lol.

Who are the characters?

In this, the top two are (from left to right) Iris and Elpis. Iris is a inkling, and Elpis is a octoling. In this au, so to speak, they're one of the top three music groups in the unnamed area this takes place in. Idk if it's splatsville, inkopolis, etc. They have a smaller fanbase compared to the #1 group, but they have a much cleaner record. Not a drama in sight! A miracle, really. I don't have much for their backstories, except I imagine it's similar to Pearl and Marina's. (They are also lesbian, so gay rights babee). group's called Shell's Angels.

The second image, which tbh looks worse than the top one, is the most popular group. Kev and Pan. Kev's a octoling/inkling hybrid, idk how, because his og character's a half-elf. I do kinda have a backstory for him, basically was really involved with a lot of splatsfest stuff, enough to be generally regarded as one of the top, if not the top, splatsfest player. he's emo tho and decided to quit because of how social it was, and ended up joining Pan to make music because he needed a job, and fast. and if this wealthy heiress was trying to get him to join, he'd take it. Pan on the other hand, is the only daughter of two popular music producers, and as a result, had (still does) a lot of pressure on her to succeed. At first she was a solo act, titled "The Human" with a lot of ghost motifs. Her whole thing was having a white veil that covered her face. But she eventually forced her way to having a say in her career, and ended up approaching Kev to make a group, titled "Pier Pressure". It started off fine, and quickly got popular. They had a big blow out a while back, where the group split up, much to the dismay of fan's. eventually, they both knew that they couldn't let that hard work go, and rejoined together again. Because of their popularity, (and penchant for drama), they run the splatsfests and news. it's a pvp enabled zone and its great. They also have some secrets, regarding a certain operation unknown to the public...
