people who read mass effect fanfic back in like 2013-2014, did you notice a weird amount of christian retellings of the games with shepard as literal space jesus? because I remember finding multiple popular longfics with that exact premise

#I think one of them was titled the meek shall inherit the earth or something #this was also the tali portion of the fanbase so idk if there was just something going on there with that #that title could be wrong btw this is going off vague memory of the bioware forums a decade ago #and all of these were on ff.net also. the site culture of ff.net is probably a factor #anyway I have not experienced another fandom like that one. maybe its more common & I’ve just gotten better at avoiding christian fanfictio
