Okay, now I'm glad that I can't afford Georgian ludicrous rent few years ago. Can't still, but really, guys, I thought you saw what's going on on Russia and Belarus, why are you all start aggressive copy this shit?
Me and my partner have fled from Russia after Putin start a fucking WAR and all this kind of laws are happened. We was multiple threaten with so called "correction raping", assaulted physically, I have a literal fight(thanks queer energy and my super high-heels for being my shield and sword in this attempt to protect my partner) because we are two plural, mostly non-human AFAB person. We hides, never dare to hold each other hand in somewhat public places, hugs and kisses was absolutely out of questions, it can provoke attack immediately with 65% probability, and some people just can call the police and you'll be arrested. Even in the cites like Saint-Peterdsburg or Moscow. Not to mention smaller, way more conservative parts. And I'm really glad, that we don't pick Georgia as an escape route now.
Like, ok, Kazakhstan is also regularly have this discourse, what's fucking wrong with you? But at least in Almaty I feel myself approximately safe. Here exist a strong community, and I even talk once with a man, who stand for LGBTQIA+ on official debate and he is openly gay. Not so long ago it was a prides time in Georgia. Less distant, than in Russia. Wtf?
When the anti "LGBT propaganda" law passed in Russia, all of you were going insane and cared. Give Georgia the same energy. If you can have sympathy for our oppressors on the basis of them being queer, you should keep the same energy for us, if not more.
If this law passes, every Georgian queer person I know is so severely fucked, myself included. If you make jokes about "being illegal in several countries" you better fucking care about the countries you're apparently illegal in, or going to be illegal in.
Make sure to spread this around. This is important.

Spare Me Your Mercy is a mystery BL for grown ups and I am so excited to dig into its themes unpacking morality and ethics around palliative care and euthanasia, caretaking for terminally ill loved ones, health care in under resourced communities, and policing.
I love that rather than having a long drawn out arc around whether someone is mercy killing terminal patients in this rural town, it's already clear in episode 1 that this is exactly what's happening, and our prime suspects are all laid out clearly. We've got Dr. Kan, the one (1) doctor who manages palliative care for this entire community, his colleagues who all clearly have some degree of knowledge about what is going on here and are helping to cover, and the coroner's office, where the loyalties may or may not be mixed. Into this fray we throw our protagonist, Tew, who is returning home on a transfer that he took so that he could be with his mother in her last days, only to have her mercy killed the night before he made it home.
And this is where the tension between Tew and Kan gets really interesting. Kan clearly believes that death is a kindness for these patients who are in pain and whose families are overburdened or fully neglecting them, and he is confident to the point of arrogance when questioned about his patients. He is unwavering in his conviction that what he's doing is right. At the same time, we opened this story with Tew's grief over not getting to see his mother before she died, which presumably is because Kan killed her. Kan did that to Tew, and despite knowing he is the reason Tew is grieving not only his mother's life but also his own chance to say goodbye, he keeps needling him about it. Kan is not a nice man, and I am always wary of doctors who deem themselves the ultimate authority over other people's lives. And on the flip side of that, Tew is a cop and trying to play at bringing order to a community he abandoned and doesn't really understand anymore. He mercy killed an animal in the opening sequence, and while killing a human and killing an animal are certainly not the same, I don't think it's an accident that we've seen Tew take this action.
I expect this show will have a nuanced and thought-provoking perspective on these issues, and I am so excited to see it unfold.

Oï!!
First, I want to say, I love this comic and genuinely can’t wait to see what awaits for us next ♡♡♡
The premise is such an interesting concept– And the art is to die for, hello?? (all my ♡ to you guys, and I mean ALL of you!)
I just had two tiny questions, if it haven’t been already answered:
If it doesn’t spoil anything, is Sonic still going to be able to run at his full speed with that mechanical leg? Or is he going to be limited? I can’t imagine my poor baby stuck with average speed, but I’m not really sure that this leg is capable of supporting his sonic speed.
And second, mostly adressed to others fans... WHY IS EVERYBODY BLAMING MAH BOI TAILS FOR EVERYTHING?? Like, yeah sure he’s technically responsible but–
Why is nobody blaming Knuckles too?!
Both Sonic and Amy told Tails to come back to the ARK and let Sonic&Shadow handle things, and I think we can safely say he would have (even reluctantly) obeyed and gone back to the ship.
But noooooo, Knuckles had to chime him and told him to make himself useful.
Useful.
To the boy who literally just witnessed his BigBroTM (fake) death in an explosion without being able to do anything abt it.
The kid who just had an entire arc abt gaining confidence and learning to step out of Sonic’s shadow (pun not intented), to be his own person with his own purpose and all that jazz.
The child who’s probably still pump up on the adrealine from his fight with Eggman (which he won if I remember my SA2 correctly).
Knuckles, mah bro, best hot-headed himbo of the franchise. You could not have chosen a worst time to utter these words.
Of course Tails was going to take him up on that and try to ”MaKe HiMsElf UsEfUl”, why wouldn’t he?? He defeated Eggman in battle (Left-over adrealine and possibly cockiness?), and didn’t seem to trust Shadow with Sonic (who, again, was thought Dead literaly less than half an hour ago bc of the Team Shadow was on– Seriously, I can see why he’d like to be by his side when Sonic is again risking his life out there for them)
And franckly, how was he supposed to realize how bad his intervention would turn out to be? It never got that bad before, why now?
#StoptheTailshate #HoldKnucklesaccountable
Sorry for the rambling and the terrible english, but it had to be said, bruh. Tails ain’t even in my Top-5 favorites character, but everyones’ so harsh on the baby, he needed some backup 🥺😭
Hii @sookilini here answering as per usual!
this is the best ask we have ever received and it's honestly my favorite, thank you so much for sending this.
I always get to excited and emotional when i read these things, thank you so much for your kind words <333
ALSO THANK YOU FOR NOT ATTACKING TAILS, he has been DRAGGED TO FILTH I CAN´T TAKE IT /j
So first: is Sonic still going to be able to run at his full speed with that mechanical leg? Or is he going to be limited?
Unfortunately, the people of Marmolim (the planet he landed on) as you may have been able to tell, don't know who Sonic is and are unaware of his speed and abilities. So, the prosthetic leg isn´t capable of withstanding his speed...
Secondly
Why is nobody blaming Knuckles too?
I honestly have no idea why most people commenting did not catch onto Knuckles provoking Tails by poking at his insecurities, I'd even dare to say his ego more so... Tails got into his head "oh I don't need Sonic to get things done. I can do anything, I'm more than just the brains, I can do the action too" at least this is my intention with his actions.
We have to remember, Tails is literally just a child at the end of the day, yes he is incredibly smart but can you really expect a 12-year-old-ish kid to act rationally when put in a stressful life or death situation while getting yelled at by everyone for just trying to help?
Nobody would ever expect a kid to even be in that situation to begin with right? at least that´s what I think.
We all know Knux isn´t the smartest in hindsight...he isn't stupid by any means, but he will say what comes to his mind without second guessing for sure.
But oh well...Knuckles isn´t here to defend himself....anymore...
But there is still hope

Hi Inkovert! How does your writing reflect and/or challenge the values you grew up with? These could be cultural, family, and/or personal values and beliefs.
Hello there!
What an interesting question! I’ve never thought about that before. I think I have a tendency to write kind/empathetic/loyal characters, which I don’t know how realistic it is for people who have that same quality to concentrate in the same place. So I often second-guess giving a lot of my characters those traits lol. I try to vary it a little by shifting the degree or circumstance with which a specific character demonstrates empathy/kindness to fit their personality better (e.g. maybe it’s only around a specific person, but with others they’re not as understanding, maybe it doesn’t matter who it is whether stranger or friend, maybe it’s a trait that grows or reveals itself within them over time etc). But empathy and understanding for others is something I deeply value and grew up with (maybe because my parents are both doctors 🤷🏾♀️), and also seek in the people I choose to keep close to me.
I value creativity and freedom, something a lot of my characters embody, either in their hobbies or the way they carry/conduct themselves. Friendship is another value that’s definitely at the top of my list. I wouldn’t be where or who I am today without my friends and so my story really focuses on and showcases different types of friendships, the importance of them, how they can mend and mold you.
I don’t have a lot of things in my writing that challenge values that I grew up with (I should maybe make that an exercise for myself to write a story like that lol). The one thing I can think of is…respect for or obedience towards your parents. That’s something I didn’t really grow out of until my mid-20s. And that’s part of Cami’s (my FMC) journey in my story. Realizing that parents aren’t always right, they are fallible and make mistakes and should be called out on it. Especially when those mistakes are to your detriment. And just because someone shares your blood or gave birth to you doesn’t mean you owe them anything. I’m still contending with those beliefs to this day and the extent to which I choose to rebel against them, but I’ve slowly come to those realizations over the years. And I think my story probably played a large part in helping me process and work through it all.

My partner is the kind of person to ask these questions and 1) it is why I fell for him so hard and 2) the conversations he strikes up at parties are often deep and fascinating. He is genuinely curious (and people can tell) and is so good at asking really thought provoking questions.
I also tend to get abandoned at parties because he gets so enamored with someone and the interesting things they have to say (I'm ok with this. It's part of his charm).
Anyway, OP, you are valid. Tell your friends to suck it and keep asking the deep questions.
my friends held an intervention for me to "stop asking intimidately specific questions". i tried to explain that i am just a good listener but there is apparently "a line between follow-up questions during small talk and interrogation tactics that gets crossed sometimes". turns out my curious nature is "scaring the hoes"

hello i am here to say two things
i want marlow as a companion so badly please let us know if you make a mod i'd cry/pos
Please tell me anything about your ocs one of my favourite things is hearing about people's ocs or what they're interested in. just rant at me like you've got a red string conspiracy board if you'd like
1. Ahhh you are just the sweetest! Sorry it took me a bit to reply, I really appreciate your words!
2. Thanks so much for giving me an opportunity to share things about Richie. I’m don’t know the best way to put OC lore out there so these kinds of asks help a lot! More to read below :)c
A fact about Richie is that he tried isolating himself in the Glowing Sea before his long trek out to the Mojave Desert. He had just cut all ties in the Commonwealth and heard the earth-shattering news that Mr. House was still alive. He thought the tough conditions in the Sea might calm him down and set him straight, but it turns out manifesting about the man who doomed you in a twisted hellscape isn't very healthy. His time spent there only turned his heartbroken anger into a full blown revenge quest. Surely killing an old flame would make him feel better...right?
The fact of the matter is, even if he hadn’t passed the point of no return in the Sea itself, it would have happened somewhere else eventually. His steady decline was inevitable because he is just... so hard on himself, refusing to accept any kind of help or prolonged companionship. Under his confident exterior, the guilt and grief is eating him alive, and sadly all this self-destruction leeches out onto his friendships and lovers as well.
The sorrows of a man who needs to feel love to be okay, but snuffs it out before it can grow...

i tried to goad people into asking me the ao3 questions like five times this month so i'm just gonna treat myself and answer em
How many words have you written this year? 247, 190
How many works did you publish this year? four
What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? nevermore! and not just for wordcount either, though maybe a little bit because i've spent so much time with it. i'm just extremely pleased with the world building i've done and the complexity and depth of the plot and how i've gotten so far into it and i don't feel like i've become wayward yet, which is what usually happens even before i reach this point. i'm so pleased. i'm so excited to reach 200k and see where i'm up to and what's ahead.
What work of yours has the most hits? linger, which is funny because just like the ghosts it was about it haunts me
What work of yours got more feedback than you expected? to go beyond your borders, considering it's hard to get readers to come to something that's nearly completely original and it's just my silly little mental health fic, the audience that it gathered in the short time i was actually updating it regularly was really surprising and i love them
Favorite title you used oh lyre lyre for sure, i went to great lengths to ensure that title made a modicum of sense for that fic
If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most? hahahahaha stray kids all day. nevermore is skz cinematic universe so of course every chapter title is a lyric
Pairing you wrote the most for this year? so much gen fic, so little time. original fiction pairings.
Favorite pairing you wrote for this year? HMMMMMMMMMMMM from my original fic, leo/nes. they're funny.
What work was the quickest to write? queenmaker is the quickest to write, takes like an hour per chapter if that. in terms of strictly ao3 fics, lyre lyre was the fever dream of a few days.
What work took you the longest to write? well i started nevermore on the 4th of march and as of the 29th it is disgustingly far from being finished at 140k so i just don't know if i can say anything else. nevermore doesn't actually take long to write though really, it's just that it's a 300k kind of project. relevant to word count though, the unpublished pirate fic is actually probably the thing that's taking the longest, and my original all that is good/holy.
How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year? not counting every single novel i have sitting around, it's around 15, but a very casual 15 because i just go with the vibe to the extreme and with no intention to really finish any of them except like two of em
What’s your longest work of the year? hehe nevermore at 139, 583
What’s your shortest work of the year? apart from the cheeky 3 sentence fic the other day, overwinter at 1278
What WIP are you taking into next year with you? nevermore
What’s your most common “Additional Tags” tag? oh. Angst.
Your favorite character to write this year? hehehehe lee minho
The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year? Y/N for queenmaker
What’s one pairing you want to explore next year? more gen fic please, tired of romance. if i had to pick one, angie/raihan from to go beyond your borders
Which work of yours have you reread the most? to go beyond your borders, although i am about to start a full edit of nevermore which is uh no mean feat.
How many kudos in total did you get this year? 202
Which work has the most comments? nevermore by a mile
Did you do any collaborative works this year? you know what they all ditched me to collaborate on their own, and they didn't even post the fic. can you believe it.
Did you write any gifts this year? uhhhh yes, it isn't gifted on ao3 but lyre lyre was for rain and i believe overwinter was for zom mom? keeps? one of those two
Did you receive any gifts this year? yesssss i received neverwas from keeps for my birthday and it was really cool and if you read anything on this list honestly make it that one, it stands alone and it's really weird and vibey
What’s your most common category? Gen
What do you listen to while writing? liked songs or a specific fic playlist on spotify on repeat. usually kpop only these days but it depends what i'm working on.
Favorite work you wrote this year? nevermore
Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? oh my god. out of 240k? yeah no worries i'll just pull it up. um. uhhhh. uhhhhhhh.
Biggest surprise while writing this year? oh that i finished nanowrimo and that if i didn't work such a physically demanding job it would have been easy. if i had all my time spare in that month i would have done 80-100k, when before this year i couldn't get past 25k a month. realising i had that capability just sitting there was crazy.
#eeeeee#i was correct this was fun#i thought i would get bored and cut questions out but i liked all of them#just enough thought provoking without becoming boring#anyway if you have MORE questions about this stuff please leave them in my ask box#i love talking about my fics i really do#roo writes

i read 'the gender of mona lisa' and i feel. both extremely seen and yet incredibly infuriated
#the gender of mona lisa#SPOILERS in the tags but uh#the whole premise is that in this world people dont have a defined sex until they turn 12#and the main character is 18 and hasn't gotten a sex yet#and also their two best friends (one guy one girl) confessed to them at the same time#and it's a really nice story and dialogue where they're conflicted on what they want to be and why can't they just stay the same#and if choosing either one of their friends means they need to adhere to one gender or the other#there's also a caveat where if you don't choose to a sex (by hormone treatments if your body doesn't present as one sex) by age 20#then 'something bad' will happen i.e: you die#it's thought provoking and sad at times but also very frustrating. i get the author is japanese and this is very much a sort of reflection#on japanese ideals of sex and gender...and a more open reflection at that#considering how there's a lot of questioning on what DEFINES femininity and masculinity#but i dont like how the author makes it out that not choosing it this horrible tragic thing. and that you can be one or the other#but still have interchangeable feminine or masculine traits which is fine!! be a girl with boy interests and vice versa#and also enraging as hell. like ive seen this rhetoric from terfs where theyre like. 'dont be trans!! just be a lil girly or boyish!!'#the one character that was written who DIDNT choose to be one or the other killed themself which was? really really saddening#and also pissed me the hell off!!! this shouldnt be a punishment!!!!!#man..........oh well. i digress. it was an interesting read despite it all

14 and 27 for the writing asks!!!
14. where do you get your inspiration?
aaah tough question! honestly i get the greatest inspiration from other art/writing. which in some ways i think is indicative of my inexperience with writing in general, not saying that’s a bad thing just the truth haha. but beyond that i also just love storytelling as a mode of having conversation with other stories. fanfic and genre fiction appeal to me because they let me examine how the cogs turn in other works that i love, and expand on the ideas that are most interesting to me. also sometimes i’ll just see a great bit of prose and go “wow i wish i could write like that! i better go practice writing now so one day i can be that good!”
recently i’ve been trying to be more intentional with filling my creative well, so i’ve been keeping a journal where i write down cool stuff that i come across. probably 50% of it is animal and plant facts, so if i ever write sci-fi i am very prepared to come up with some weirdass aliens agdjgc. so i guess i would say that science and nature is a big inspiration for me as well! those things come up frequently in my work (best published example is my fma fic, but i also have a lot of wips rn that rely heavily on science-as-metaphor).
27. what is your favorite part of the writing process
it’s tied between two things! the first is the very beginning when i’m just brainstorming and writing random scenes to feel out the energy i want. i jump all over the place when i write, so the beginning is when i feel like i have the most freedom to go with my gut and let my best ideas dictate how the rest of the story will flow. i am absolutely that guy who will write a whole story around that one cool bit of dialogue i came up with in the shower
second is near the end, when i’ve had a bit of time to sit away from my first draft and i can start going back to edit. i usually make myself take time away from the draft once i’ve finished it, so it’s a relief to get back to it with something that lets my nitpicky instincts shine. i should really start beta-ing for people because i could literally just edit forever…... if only i actually stuck to my own stories long enough to reach this phase ToT
ask game
#thanks for the ask!! you picked questions that were really thought provoking for me so these were fun to answer!#inbox#ask game#timeskip#<3

I'M SORRY I'LL STOP BEING ANNOYING BUT what happens if a ghoul would try and leave the Clergy by themselves?
I imagine it would be really difficult. Especially if they spent a long time living with the ministry and community of the abbey. Leaving means no community, no support, and they'll have to find their own resources. On top of that, they're not human. Hopefully they have a human disguise, one that the Clergy can't take away.
For those who don't have a disguise, who are not adapted to modern, human society, I imagine they return to old habits. As if they're living in the pits of hell again, but worse. There's people out there who will hunt and kill what they don't understand.
#also don't worry I think this question is a really good one#very thought provoking#ghost and ghouls headcanons#nameless ghouls#demons

re: you reading name of the rose: did you watch the movie as well? do you tend to seek out adaptations of novels at all and do you have a preference in which order you watch/read them?
i haven't and i didn't know there was one!
if i read a novel and like it and then sometime after that a film version is released, i will often watch it. however, i don't usually seek out adaptations that were released before i read the novel. (exceptions where i read a book and then looked for film adaptations that already existed: i did seek out film adaptations of the count of monte-cristo (though sadly i still haven't found the french miniseries that sounded so interesting). and i've watched several adaptations of jane austen's novels.) so i probably won't watch the name of the rose movie unless i hear something specific about it that intrigues me.
in general, i'd rather read the book before watching the movie, but i don't take this to the level of refusing to watch a movie if i haven't read the book yet. i'm trying to think if there are any cases where i watched a movie and liked it and then sought out the book, and the only one that's coming to mind is reading volumes of the natsuyuu manga after having watched the anime. which just tells you how much i love natsuyuu!
#what an interesting question! i never really realized how strong this pattern is for me#like i knew that i prefer books and that i have watched a lot of film adaptations of books that i like but i didn't realize#a) that i almost never go back in time to see if any adaptations were released from BEFORE i had read the book#and b) the only time in the last six years (according to my spreadsheet) that i've watched something first#and then gone back to read the source material is natsuyuu#(i guess i also read the first volume of ranma 1/2 after watching the anime but that was only bc it was a french translation)#asks#not anon#books#film#thank you for the ask <3 very thought-provoking!!#have you watched the name of the rose movie? would you recommend it?

helloo! 3, 8, 28 for the artist art game! 🌼
hello!! o/
3. What ideas come from when you were little?
when i was a kid i was totally obsessed with making 'card games' and 'bestiaries' of creatures (usually dragons) kind of like the dragon pages in the original how to train your dragon books. i think a lot of that has stuck with me in regards to how i approach world building and the concepts that come to me (i.e. i come up with a character or beastie before a story). also the gods system i have in most of my works, the ninth and the first, was something i came up with at i want to say around 13 or 14? obviously its very different now but the basis is mostly the same...
8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in?
oh god. i lose interest in so much so frequently its a problem LOL but relevantly to this blog i was working on a trigun animatic in march that i planned and sketched out before i lost the spark. some of the frames from that are actually pretty cool... aside from that honestly i pick up and drop projects like im rock hunting at a beach whoopsies ':]
28.Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines)?
not a damn one haha i cant imagine myself being able to do that sort of thing... on top of being way too nervous to post jack fuck shit of my work pretty much until i started this blog last year im also not very confident in my work overall and struggle a whole lot with doing art in a setting that feels like 'work' with a deadline etc. also, most zines ive seen have been the aftermath of money laundering or just general implosions of the artists and planners. which seems. unpleasant...
#thank you!!! really thought provoking questions lmao#asks#worm whispers#i might still have one of the card decks i made at like age 8 actually..... somewhere........

was listening to a podcast and the author being interviewed was a gay man and he was saying that in this new era of constant online surveillance there's a lot of emphasis on politicians' "authenticity" and a lot of outrage when it comes up that they said something in their off duty time that's not as progressive as their "public" politics/views are but he said he actually doesn't care at all about what they say in private, (I'm paraphrasing here) bc an homophobic joke in private is very different from a public speech instigating hate or laws reinforcing discrimination and he said "I don't want authentic politicians, I want responsible ones".
idk I just thought it was an interesting statement
#ive said something similar before too for example about how people defend public figures ' questionable public choices with remarks about#how great they are in private and ive always said yea but what good does it do being decent in private and then doing shitty things with#your public platform#i guess this is the same thought just reversed#although i think theres more nuances to it like can someone who doesnt believe in something actually be fighting for it at an institutional#level ??#but i also think that in an ideal society that shouldn't really matter bc in an ideal society/democracy#if a politician that gets elected with a promise to do something and then turns around and doesn't respect that#then theyd simply be kicked out of their positions#but unfortunately in our current society people seem to have forgotten that politicians are meant to work for us and to represent us so !#i also understand people who distrust someone who has different views in private even if they dont act on them institutionally#idk its a thought provoking idea so i thought id share
