This set is awesome. I think it's easy to forget how much time goes into preparing these sets for filming. They may only be filmed for a few hours, and the footage that makes it into an MV might just be seconds. But there are so many details in this set. From the walls and floor to the furniture to the individual objects and accessories. All things that need to be procured and prepared. In this case, we also have the gravity-defying aspect that the set designers need to worry about.

They were released with the filming videos first, then the dance practices, and then the recording videos. I'm thinking chronologically that the idols would have finalized the songs first, then learned the dance, and then filmed the track videos. Though I know sometimes they learn the dances with the demo versions of songs.

To be honest while I do like piano music, I didn't like this adaptation of Pathetique. It used the same motifs so it just wasn't very fun or creative. I know, they can only do so much when they're trying to adapt it into a pop song and include rap. I know we're not going to get Baroque variations. But Golden Age as my first full group comeback song was whatever to me.

I saw a recent ask and got curious and went back to read what everyone was discussing and saw people mention TaeTen. I wanna put aside any speculation of anyone's sexuality to say something. Do you trust that what we see on camera is everything about their lives? Because it isn't. The polaroid was a mistake. Ten never *showed* it. It was caught by fans in the background of a very good 4k cam. It was a private part of his space that he didn't realize he filmed(and never made that mistake again), where pictures of his family were, along with a Gengar figurine right next to it (Taeyong has posed with a Gengar recently and Gengar-Kitty art). Ten is a private person. Also, you say he only talks about Johnny. Since when? When was the last time he did? Cricket noises. And if Ten did like Johnny more than a friend, would he have mentioned him as a "bro" best friend in the past? (Always "bro" just like he talks about Mark). Or would he have kept it a secret? There is a good reason TaeTen is the biggest Ten pairing in Thailand, Ten's homeland where his most dedicated fanbase is. They pay more attention to Ten and how others and SM treat him than anyone else. They keep closer tabs on him than us. They know more than us. Ten has multiple friends he's never seen interact or mention much. And that's true for all neos. Taeyong and Yuta are very close friends but the fandom narrative is DoTae are the besties, when it's Yuta who kept close to Taeyong while they toured LATAM. They are a small ship and that's why people who aren't invested in both of them don't know anything about them. You are right to say that there is life behind the cameras and that the relationships portrayed before the camera are not always exactly how they are in reality. Idols need to demonstrate good relationships, be able to work together even if there is tension, or, other way around, pretend they are not as close as behind the scenes.

However, another member of the same group is not a non-celebrity friend. And bts videos and variety shows are not scripted controlled interviews. Idols are singers and dancers, not actors, they will inevitably betray a lot of things about their relationships through body language, verbal slip ups, the way other members react to situations and jokes, etc. Taeyong especially is a person who isn't good with keeping his composure (his giggles when neos flirt with him or he needs to hug Doyoung) or controlling his body (his hands always need to occupy themselves with clothes or poke a neighbour). That's why I asked anons who advocated for TaeTen or Taeyong being gay to give me supportive evidence (interactions, interviews). Toys and clothes can't be independant arguments, only supplementary material.

A TaeTen photograph can mean Ten's one-sided crush. Why is it interpreted as a photo of lovers? Gengar is a Pokemon. Taeyong can like this pokemon, Ten could have introduced the pokemon to Tae and persuade him to like it or inspire him to take pictures of it as "hey, this figurine reminds me of you, friend". Again, it is not a 2+2=4 "they are in love".

Taeyong is one of the most popular neo. There can be many reasons why TaeTen is the most popular Ten ship in Thailand.

DoTae are besties. It's not fanon. There is no reason for Taeyong to ask Doyoung to get into the same retirement home with him when they get old. And there is no reason for Doyoung to cry about this offer. TaeYu only recently became closer again. Body language doesn't lie. You can tell who is closer to whom simply observing relationships over the years and not cherry-picking individual events. And Taeyong has no reason to lie about his friends either. DoTae were roommates during Neo City tour a lot. So why does the same argument of "spending time together" doesn't apply to them?

Cranes mean longevity, purity and peace in Korea. Johnny and Taeyong both have swallow tattoos, which JohnTae shippers interpreted the same way you did with cranes and TaeTen.

A profound change in him or his relationship with Ten, will have a ripple effect on his relationships with other 127 neos (Johnny-Ten-Tae dynamic, for example). “i can’t believe you’re up and leaving us for a month,” yeonjun sarcastically commented while helping her lug her last luggage into the mercedes van that sunwoo had been so generous enough to send to pick them up. “and from the looks of it, it doesn’t look like soobin, beomgyu, and taehyun are going to let go of the others.”

and true to his word, she looked over to see them gathered in a group hug. beomgyu clung onto yunho with teary eyes, he’s never been separated from him for a month before. yunho gently pat the younger puppy’s head with a small smile. 

she chuckled at the heartwarming scene. “guys, you’ll still be able to call and facetime. and you’re acting like we’re never coming back! we’re only going to jeju island.”

“but what if you run away with this person because they’re rich?” beomgyu asked, ignorant to her background. at his question, the other boys gasped and whipped their heads over to her. 

her smile slightly faltered, forgetting that they don’t know of her origins. she knew she’d have to come clean someday—maybe this trip was the right time to tell. 

“don’t be ridiculous, of course we are,” she gently reprimanded before coming over to ruffle beomgyu’s hair. “beomgyu’s imagination is just running a tad bit wild.”

pouting, beomgyu shifted from yunho to engulf her in a bear hug. 

“soobin and i’ll make sure beomgyu doesn’t grow any grey hairs while worrying about you guys,” taehyun jokingly reassured. he knew beomgyu well enough, even though he was an addition to the family a month ago.  

“miss, it’s about time to depart to the airport,” the driver informed with a bow. 

with a nod, she rubbed beomgyu’s head. “okay, we need to go now, bub. we’ll message you when we get there, okay?”

reluctantly nodding, beomgyu let her go. he joined soobin, taehyun, and yeonjun to see them off, waving until they not longer saw the black vehicle. 

in the car, yunho, mingi, san, and yeosang were fascinated with how fancy the interior was. there were two rows of two seats, and row with three seats in the back. the seats were so comfortable, and it was so roomy; an environment unfamiliar to the hybrids. while seonghwa and yunho knew somewhat of her background, the others wondered how she managed to afford something like this. 

“is your friend rich?” san asked, looking back to face jiyu. seating arrangements were decided by an intense game of rock-paper-scissors. in the end, yeosang and hongjoong sat in front, mingi and san were in the middle row, and jiyu was squished in between yunho and seonghwa in the back. 

“that’s one way of putting it, yes.” in truth, she was worried about how they would react to her and sunwoo’s background. most of them had come from influential families or illegal organizations to begin with. having terrible memories with them, would they change once they knew who she really was?

“but don’t worry, he’s really nice! he has a hybrid friend of his own, too. i think he said a german shepard hybrid.” yunho seemed to perk up at the thought of meeting another dog hybrid. 

“hm...if you say so. if you trust him, then we do, too,” hongjoong said before getting comfortable in the seat. 

upon arriving at the airport, the van immediately took them to the runway where a private plane was parked and waiting. she assumed it was sunwoo’s. the boys plastered their faces against the van windows at the sight of the plane. they’ve never been on one before, hence their childlike fascination. 

“are we really going on that?” san asked with excitement. “i love your friend already,” he teasingly commented. 

jiyu softly chuckled as the van came to a stop. hopping out, she saw sunwoo standing at the entrance to the plane with a hybrid she assumed was eric. catching sight of jiyu, he started climbing down the stairs. she smiled and waved to him, an action he returned with a small chuckle. 

“were you waiting long?”

he shook his head. “don’t worry, we came ten minutes ago. eric’s been eager to meet you and your—” seeing the six hybrids behind her filing out of the van, his eyes widened. he knew she had hybrids, but he didn’t really know what to expect. “you have six?”

she sheepishly chuckled. “yeah...i hope you don’t mind. they won’t bite if that’s what you’re worried about.”

on the contrary, sunwoo didn’t mind at all; it actually made her a hundred times cooler in his eyes if anything. he’s never met a girl who managed to befriend six different hybrid breeds. but then again, with her job, he should’ve seen it coming. despite that, she just kept surprising him with who she is. 

“guys, this is sunwoo,” she called out to the boys. “he’s the friend i was talking about!” 

while the boys acquainted themselves with sunwoo, the german shepard hybrid approached jiyu with a friendly smile. “hi, i’m eric! although i think sunwoo told you plenty about me already.”

jiyu giggled at the boy’s abundance of energy. “he has mentioned you a few times. i’m jiyu.”

eric enthusiastically nodded. “i’ve heard about you a lot, too! sunwoo didn’t stop talking about you for a whole week after your first meeting.”

jiyu felt her face flush at the new piece of information. “a week—”

“ji! sunwoo said there’s also video games on the plane!”

before eric could continue exposing sunwoo, yunho came bounding up to her with the others in tow. with their calm and excited demeanor, she assumed that they managed to feel relaxed and at home with sunwoo, which made her happy and relieved. 

“is that so?” she mused, rubbing the spot behind his ears. yunho nodded and giggled, pushing his head into jiyu’s hands. eric glanced at sunwoo and couldn’t help the smirk on his face at the sight of the soft look on his friend’s face. 

snapping out of his reverie, sunwoo cleared his throat. “we should get going.”

the plane ride nothing out of the ordinary—the boys were getting to know eric, while jiyu and sunwoo caught up over a glass of champagne. 

“so it seems like your friends don’t know about you yet?” sunwoo inquired. “i told eric to keep his mouth shut about it just in case.”

softly shaking her head, she quietly glanced at the hybrid group that had passed out not too long ago after expending all of their energy. “only seonghwa and yunho know about it. i never found the right time to tell the others but this trip might be it.”

mingi had sleepily wandered over towards them and plopped down next to her before laying his head on her lap. within a few minutes, his breath evened out again. 

an endearing chuckle left her lips as she threaded her fingers through his faded red hair. “ah, you big baby,” she cooed. 

sunwoo watches her with a soft smile on his face. he watches the way she gently lulls the giant bunny to sleep, the mother-like smile on her face, the gentle aura she exudes—he could go on and on. she was completely different from what he had been expecting. while they had a few brief meetings during company gatherings, she always had a blank expression, never smiling nor frowning. it was almost like she was more robot than human.

when his parents had informed him of his future marriage with her, he didn’t know how to react. a part of him would’ve been lying if he had denied feeling the tiniest bit of disdain at his fate.

but lo and behold, she managed to leave him soft and charmed with every meeting, even if this was only their second one. 

“sir, ma’am, we’ll be landing in about ten minutes. please fasten your seatbelts.” 

his pilot’s voice managed to break him out of his thoughts, leaving him to scramble to sit up straighter and cool his flushed face. 

“i should wake them up,” jiyu said, completely unaware of sunwoo’s dilemma. softly shaking mingi’s shoulder, she gently prodded him awake before relaying the pilot’s message to him. padding over to the others, she did the same.

sunwoo sighed before buckling in his own seatbelt. he needed to keep himself in check around her before he accidentally does something that would embarrass himself. this is going to be a long month.

upon arriving at the private vacation home, jiyu was already bombarded with the youngers’ pleas to go to the beach. luckily for them, the vacation home was just down the street from the beach, giving them easy access to visit whenever they wanted. 

“i’m really sorry, i hope you don’t mind,” she apologized to sunwoo for the fact that they were going to the beach the moment they put their bags down. “if you’re tired, you can stay. i can take—”

sunwoo’s soft chuckle made her pause mid-sentence. she didn’t know he was capable of making such a melodious sound. while she was still living in the main house, her friends had painted him to be an aloof person. and even from what she saw at company dinners. the daughters of other elites were always throwing themselves at him, offering him drinks and their company. 

yet every singe time without fail, he would coldly reject them.

so when yuta had told her that he was the one her father set her up with, she was doubtful if they could even be civil with each other. 

“it’s fine, i’ll go with you and the others. eric’s been pestering me to go, too so it works out.”

the soft and friendly expression was just proof to her that maybe, just maybe, she had been judging the facade he puts up.

“oh, okay then!” she smiled before scurrying to her room to change. “let’s meet back here when we’re ready!”

watching her excited like a child to go to the ocean, he couldn’t contain the smile that he had been biting back. he was glad that they could at least be friends despite the circumstances.

“stop staring at her door and go change, loverboy.”

he was bought back to reality by his best friend’s quip. throwing him a half-hearted glare, he trudged to his room. “i wasn’t staring.” even his protest was weak. 

eric couldn’t help the smirk that crosses his face. he’s known his best friend long enough to know that he never gets like this around girls. “this should be an interesting trip.”

by the time they all met back up to leave, it was two p.m.—a prime time for the sun to be out and bestowing them with it’s heat on their short walk to the beach.

“it’s the ocean!” yunho shouted with utter glee and happiness as he and eric raced each other across the sand and to the water. the others ran after them, even san who ended up straying on shore and dipping his feet in the water. hongjoong joined him as he watched over the others in the water. 

jiyu and sunwoo had found a group of beach chairs under a big umbrella and tossed their bags down. stretching her limbs, jiyu sprawled out on a chair and closed her eyes for a brief moment. hearing the ocean waves along with the cheerful shouts of the boys in the water made her smile with content. 

cracking an eye open, she caught sunwoo throwing off the white t-shirt he had on and shaking his head afterward to fix his hair. her eyes raked over his body against her own will. his lean figure, the define abs lined on his stomach, and the hints of muscles on his arm only served to have a volcano of butterflies erupt in her stomach. 

“everything okay?” he asked, leaning down towards her face.

looking away from his piercing gaze, she jumped up and quickly discarded her own outerwear before speed-walking towards the water. “yep! just great!” she definitely didn’t miss the smirk that was threatening to take over his face. 

sunwoo smirked before running to catch up with her. he couldn’t help but take note of the red two-piece she was sporting. a part of him wanted to throw his earlier discarded t-shirt over her to give her coverage from other people’s gazes that were lingering just a bit too long, but he bit back his own desire.

after all, they were just budding friends who were about to be stuck in an arranged, and potentially loveless, marriage.

but that didn’t stop him from lifting her up and tossing her into the water.

emerging back up, she had to rub her eyes to get rid of the salt water before throwing a glare towards the laughing culprit.

“kim sunwoo!” she stood up and crossed her arms across her chest like an angry child. 

“i had to—hey!”

too busy caught up in his own laughter, he failed to notice the wolf hybrid sneaking up behind him to exact revenge for jiyu. emerging up next to jiyu, shook his head to remove excess water out of his hair before looking for his culprit. seeing the proudly-smiling seonghwa on shore with his hands on his hips, he let out snort. 

“alright, you got me.”

she burst into giggles before floating on her back. looking up at the sky, there were no hints of clouds—just the endless blue that seemed to stretch out for miles on end. feeling someone tug her feet, she perked her head up to see yeosang pulling her. 

“you were floating too far out,” he informed before lightly flicking her forehead. “watch out before you float away and we’re stranded here without you,” he added with a chuckle, just barely missing the splash of water that jiyu retaliated with, before swimming off back to yunho and mingi. 

“he seems fun to be around,” sunwoo said as swam up to join her. “he reminds me of eric, only more sass.”

“yeah, i never know where his sass comes from—”

she was cut off by a huge splash of water from behind that had not only hit her, but also sunwoo. turning around, she expected it to be yeosang, san, or eric.

but no one was behind them. 

sunwoo furrowed his eyebrows. the hybrid group was at least twenty feet away from them—there was no way any of them could’ve done it since he and jiyu would’ve heard them swimming off or laughing. 

“that’s odd, who—ah!”

before jiyu could finish her sentence, a pair of arms grabbed her waist and yanked her underwater. having no time to react, she felt herself being tugged away as they started swimming with her in tow.

sunwoo swore his heart almost stopped; whether it be from the fact that it all happened so quickly or the fact that jiyu could potentially be drowning, he didn’t know. he didn’t have time to know.

“oi, what the—!”  

his scream caught the others attention. looking over, they sunwoo looking frantic pulling something up from under the water. 

but there was no jiyu. 

they all swam over with urgency, fearing something went wrong.

“where is she?” hongjoong asked, brows furrowing with panic. the others looked ready to fight what or whoever took jiyu, even yunho and mingi even though they both looked on the verge of crying. 

“something pulled her down and just...swam away!”

meanwhile, underwater, jiyu was having a ball trying to fight off what or whoever pulled her down. it was definitely a person—she felt the arms around her waist and the hard chest that was tightly pressed against her back. looking behind her she managed to make out a male with majestic, black with gold highlights. 

the lack of air snapped her back to reality from her gawking and she stared to try and pry the man’s hands off of her. as if catching onto her message, he quickly brought her back up to the surface. 

inhaling like her life depended on it and coughing out some water, she turned around and glared at whoever decided to try and almost drown her.

but before she could her a word out, she was blown away by how...pretty the man staring back at her was. with his hair tucked behind his ears, it framed his face perfectly, showing off his distinct and defined facial features.

but something else caught her eye. 

the lower half of his body was a tail. eyes flicking back and forth from the man’s face to the tail, her mouth opened and closed like fish out of water.

“a fish h-hybrid..?”

“oi, jiyu!” 

at the sound of her name, she looked behind the man to see everyone swimming up to her. it turned out that they weren’t that far away from shore—the man, or hybrid, just took her along the shoreline rather than farther out like she had originally thought. 

the unknown hybrid just watched as the seven other hybrids and sunwoo crowded her to make sure she was okay. yeosang profusely apologized, saying “i know i joked about you floating away and stranding us, but i didn’t mean to make that a reality”.

sunwoo ruffled her wet hair, breathing out a sigh of relief. “you scared me there. i thought i was going to lose you on the first day here.”

“huh? yeosang?”

at the sound of his name, yeosang turned around and practically fainted. he literally swam past him, how did he manage to miss the extremely familiar face.  he stared at the underwater hybrid, wide-eyed, like he had witnessed another miracle from the universe. the unknown man mirrored yeosang’s look.

“wooyoung?!”

210107 [Un Cut] Take #14｜‘RESONANCE’ Music Video Behind the Scene

In the big V, she was between Yuta and Haechan.

In Resonance Black clothes, she is wearing a black dress with black boat. She seems a little taller than she is. 

She enters the set with the black clothes for the first time. Some of the boys were like omg "Maeve looks so cute!!", "Her boots look "bigger than her" She is kinda embarrassed by the comments so she just looks down and TaeYong pats her hair. Kun comes closer to her and talks about her new hair.

When Kun is speaking she is just nodding by YangYang's side pretending to understand what he said (she was with airpods listening to music).

When Jisung came, she went to get him with Renjun. 

When TaeYong says that they are on a picnic, Maeve, who was near him, sitting on the floor eating, hides her snack and waves at the camera smiling.  

When Ten kicks the camera, she asks the camera if it's okay. "Camera-shi, are you okay?"

In Jisung's little interview, he asks if she likes her outfit. "Yes! It was the first time I tried a dress like this, but it looks so pretty, right?" Jisung nods before the Director says to get back to recording, and she runs to the stage waving him goodbye.

She stays so hyped for the drone, jumping up and down, and was really happy that it worked up in the MV. 

In the final NCT, she is in the T. She leaves the stage with TaeYong waiting for him to say the MV final words.

NCT 127 was chilling in their dressing room, backstage, waiting for their turn to perform ‘Kick It’. JiHo sat in one of the chairs in front of the mirrors, ready to get her make up done. Taeyong who was holding the camera walked up to the girl ready to interview her.

“And here we have our lovely JiHo getting ready for our stage.” He commented, earning a hum from the girl. “How are you feeling- oh? What’s that?” The camera wasn’t pointed at anything anymore as Taeyong leaned in closer to the girl then readjusted the camera again to focus on JiHo. His hand reached out to grab her chin and his thumb lightly pressed against a purple spot beneath the left corner of her lip. “Is it real?” The concern was audible in his question and JiHo nodded.

“I thought it was fake! What happened? When did you get that bruise? It looks painful.” Taeyong kept firing out questions which had both JiHo and the make up artist, who was currently working on her, laughing. “It doesn’t hurt too bad.” JiHo answered coolly, her eyes darted to the mirror in front of her and she noticed Mark walk behind her.

“Mark and I got into a fight yesterday.” Taeyong gasped and Mark snapped his head towards her after hearing his name. “What?” Both men asked shocked at the statement. “Mark hit you?” Taeyong asked once again pointing towards the bruise on JiHo’s face. “What are you talking about?” Mark stuttered over his words and turned his head to take a closer look at the bruise. JiHo didn’t say anything as Taeyong put down the camera on the table in front of them and started scolding the innocent boy.

Both JiHo and the make up artist were laughing and JiHo decided to grab the camera and point it towards both boys. “Oppa. I’m just kidding, leave poor Mark alone.” She explained, trying not to laugh again.

Johnny who had been watching everything happen had joined the group wordlessly. “Lim JiHo! You can’t joke about things like that!” The leader scolded and Mark let out a relieved gasp. “What?” She laughed at his expression. “I know we didn’t get into a fight, but I almost started second guessing myself that I somehow did do that to you.” With a hand on his heart, the panic lingered in his eyes for a few more seconds before it slowly vanished.

“You two are so gullible, oh lord.” JiHo chuckled and Johnny now settled between both boys, patting them both on their shoulders. “Taeyong you should’ve known better. If JiHo did get into a fight with Mark, we all know Mark would be the one to come out that with bruises. Not the other way around.”

She has these boys wrapped around her finger and she knows it!

[NCT 127 Talks "Superhuman", Tour, and KPop]

“What makes NCT 127 different from every other boy band?” Jaehyun’s eyes met JiHo’s, who is sitting on the front row of members next to Jungwoo. They shared a smile as Zach, the host, continues his question.

Johnny translated the question to all the other members and JiHo slowly brought the mic up to her lips. Once Johnny finished translating, the female voice of JiHo resonated through the room. “Well...” She stopped there with a nod and everyone started laughing.

After Taeyong and Johnny finished their answer JiHo grabbed her mic once again. “Just want to clarify, I’m not saying I’m the only reason we’re different, I’m just saying, if you’re calling us a boy band then of course me being a female member would technically already make us different from all other boy bands.” She quickly added.

“How does that feel? Being the only girl in a group of men.” Zach asked and JiHo shrugged. “It doesn’t feel abnormal to me. I think after knowing the guys for such a long time I just like, kind of found my spot with them and it just feels normal.” “I think JiHo sometimes forgets that she a girl...” Johnny added carefully, his voice turning a bit unsure at the end. With the boys laughing in the background JiHo waved a piece sign in front of the camera closest to her and started “acting cool” before talking into the mic with a deeper voice. “I’m part of the boys. Part of the homies. Ya know?”

After Johnny’s joke about copying Mark(’s butt), Taeil spoke up, “Aren’t we missing someone?” “Where’s JiHo?” Yuta spun around once as if he was looking for the absent girl. “Tsk. Again, she’s late-” “Lee Haechan!” A voiced boomed off of frame.

JiHo walked in with a confident stride stopping in the middle of the room and staring straight into the main camera. “Don’t speak about your baseball team leader like that.” She said in a cold tone. “Sunbaenim, where were you?” Johnny asked. Since the age rolls were reversed, JiHo was now the oldest in the group. “I just came back from the gym as the leader of the cheerleading team who just finished practise.” “You’re also their leader?” Doyoung stifled a laugh and JiHo turned to him sending him a glare. He put up his hands in a defensive pose and took a step back after which JiHo turned back to the camera.

“Why? Don’t you believe me?” “I don’t know JiHo. It’s just that-” Mark stopped talking before being able to finish his sentence as the girl kicked up her left leg. She caught her foot with her left hand and pulled her leg up until it was next to her face, extended into a heel stretch. Her right hand was also in the air, showing of how great her balance and flexibility is. She kept the pose for a few seconds before bringing her foot back down to the ground. “Wow!” The boys gasped in surprised.

She eyed Mark who quickly acknowledged the fact that she fit as the role of the cheerleading team. “Don’t underestimate me Markie.” The teasing tone along with the nickname sent a shiver down the boy’s spine, the other boys either oohing or being slightly scared themselves.

Why is Mark always the victim of JiHo’s teasing?? I can’t with them

[‘To You’ #3]

The whole ‘To You’ series was really sweet and emotional. So this isn’t as funny as the previous clips, but I felt like this still fits the theme so well. I also think that not that many fans have seen this before, so after this clip you should watch all 3 videos <3

PS. this isn’t the full clip but here are some of my favourite parts of Taeil’s message to JiHo

“It must have been hard right? Your position in the group is very special and it must come with a lot of pressure.” Taeil’s eyes fell into his lap, a sad smile on his lips. “But you always try to hide your hardships from the group.”

I believe what he means with ‘position’ is being the maknae of the group as well as being the only girl

“I wished that you could come to us more and open up about those things, because I know that everyone (in the group) would drop everything they were doing in a heartbeat to hear you out.” He took a deep breath before continuing.

“Haechan is the mood maker in the sense that he likes joking around and being loud, but you also are a mood maker. Just in your own unique way. You’re such a good listener and observer so you notice things other people might not. You approach members silently or make small gestures, which mean a lot, to cheer someone up. But you can also be funny and loud. I appreciate both of those sides of you.”

I’m not crying, you are ::>_<::

It was silent for a little as Taeil seemed deep in thought. “I know you don’t like to be treated in a more special way than the other members, and the older members really try not to show it. But in our minds... and in our hearts, you do have a special place. I know you are a strong person and can protect yourself just as well, if not better, than the other members, but I can’t help but want to protect you.”

“Whatever anyone says, those people who aren’t our fans or don’t understand us, I hope you don’t take their painful words to heart. Because you are just as fit to be in NCT as any of the other members.”

I’m so happy to see how much NCT cares for JiHo, not that I ever doubted that they didn’t, but seeing this was so heart-warming and JiHo’s reaction was so sweet as well as her message to Taeyong (but you have to go watch the original video for that ;-) )

[[Un Cut] Take #4 I ‘NCT - RESONANCE Pt. 1’ The Future ver. Jacket Behind the Scene]

The camera focused on JiHo who was currently doing her individual shots. She was wearing a beige oversized long sleeve that showed of her collarbones but covered up most of the rest of her body.

JiHo squatted down and tilted her head to the side to show of her jawline. The staff were complimenting her as the shoot went on.

A particular switch in poses had elicited a surprising response from one of the female staff members. “Wow~ Has she always been this pretty?” She said in awe, which caused everyone to start laughing and agreeing.

After JiHo’s shoot it was Ten and Kun’s turn. During Ten’s individual interview he brought up the event that happened before his shoot started. “I heard that the staff was surprised by JiHo’s visuals.” He chuckled. “My baby is very pretty everyone. Don’t forget that or you’ll be surprised and fall in love with her like the staff member did.”

I don’t know if I’m freaking out more because Ten just called JiHo his baby or because she called her very pretty so casually? Also thanks for the warning Ten, but I’m already madly in love with JiHo so... a bit too late for that.

She hummed. “Actually it was around the same time that NCT was promoting their music.” “Oh did you talk to them?” AleXa shook her head whilst laughing but then stopped suddenly as if she remembered something.

“She wasn’t promoting with them at the time, but I saw JiHo sunbaenim backstage.” This comment perked up Jae’s interest as he sat up in his chair. “Did you introduce yourself?” “Yeah she actually noticed me first and came to say hi.”

Diane, who was the person behind the camera gasped loudly. “Why haven’t you told us about this?! She knows you?” The small girl nodded embarrassed and then explained what happened on that day.

“She’s super nice and complimented my music and dancing. I didn’t think I’d ever been at such a loss for words as back then. I got so nervous because even though she’s really nice, she has such a strong presence? If you know what I mean?” Jae and Diane hum in understanding. “Just seeing her up close like that was so intimidating. Like she told me she was there to support her members so she didn’t have any makeup on, but she was still insanely beautiful.” Jae laughed at the girl’s dramatic explanation. “You sound like you have a crush on her.” AleXa stuttered for a second before replying. “I think I might!” They all laughed.

“Did you exchange phone numbers?” Diane asked and AleXa nodded excitedly. “We did! We don’t text each other often, but every once in a while she reaches out after a new podcast episode comes out to tell me about the parts she liked.” “Oh so she watches this?” Jae’s eyes widened. “Yeah.”

AleXa turned to the camera and waved. “JiHo sunbaenim, if you are watching this, thank you so much! I hope we can get closer someday.”

I don’t know AleXa that well, but I think a collab between her and JiHo would be so powerful!

plot: a trip back to jung jaehyun’s childhood home triggered his memory of you. a bottle of pills a friend gave years ago aided jaehyun in finding out what happened after he left - and if your fate was all his fault.

The house was cold and quiet. Surfaces were covered with a thin layer of dust as old memorabilias of Jaehyun’s parents remained as still as yesterday. After his father’s death, Jaehyun delayed selling the house as much as he could. But opportunities for money came and he found himself filling boxes. The movers were supposed to take all the boxes tomorrow. Jaehyun only has one room left to empty: his childhood bedroom.

Pictures of him and his college friends were plastered against the walls. The bed and pillows were rid of sheets as no one was using them anyway. Jaehyun decluttered before leaving home so there was not a lot of stuff to pack. A small shoe box sat inside the empty closet. The contents of the box triggered a wave of nostalgia all over him.

The box contained letters, photos, and small trinkets. It was as if someone put his college life into a small box. An orange, translucent cylinder caught Jaehyun’s eye. Beside the cylinder was a polaroid of you - smiling, full of life.

Jaehyun stared at his reflection. The image of the man he used to be was no longer found in the reflection staring back at him. Strands of grey found themselves in his hair. His youthful skin was starting to form wrinkles. There was a slight ache on the joints of his fingers. The sensation made him realized how old he actually is. He lived a long life. He went through the highs and the lows.

“Yes, son, I already recieved the email.” He spoke through the speaker of the phone.

“How was it, dad?” The young man asked.

“Good job, Jeno.” Jaehyun complimented. “I expect more of this work soon?”

“You got it.” Jeno replied.

“I’ll call you again tomorrow.”

“Okay. See you, dad.”

For a moment, he believed that he had done everything he needed to do in life. He had a loving wife and a smart son. The image of a perfect family hung above the staircase. That’s how life was for him; he was successful and adored. They say what matters most is what lies ahead. But Jaehyun couldn’t shrug off a memory of a girl from decades ago.

No portrait was big enough to overpower the small image of your smile. It reminded him of something that’s been unfixed for such a long time, he doesn’t know if there’s still a chance to resolve it.

Jaehyun felt weirdly tired. Perhaps it was the age talking but it was still weird since it was a Sunday and he did not have work. It was unusual for him to feel weary on a weekend. He yawned as he rest his body on the bed. His head spinned as if he was drunk. Before he could think of a thought, his eyes fluttered.

The scene was a regular day at university. Jaehyun crossed his eyebrows as he stared at his reflection in the campus restroom. His complexion was youthful - rose-colored flush spread across his cheeks. His hair was a soft shade of pink. The distant voice of Johnny Suh was heard behind a cubicle.

Where the fuck am I?

“Dude, I’m so fucking tired of taking care of your drunk asses at every party.” Johnny continued to complained. Jaehyun’s eyes widened at Johnny.

Johnny did not look like the Johnny he saw two days ago at the restuarant. The Johnny in front of him has black hair while the Johnny from two days ago had red.

“Do you even want to go to Taeyong’s party tonight?” Johnny asked. It took Jaehyun a few seconds to realize that he was being questioned. He muttered a small yes. “Are you alright?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. Didn’t sleep well last night.” Jaehyun made up the excuse. He has no idea why the hell is he reliving his college self. The thought both scared and intrigued him.

Jaehyun’s mind was still drifting as they walked across the building. His nerves tingled in his fingertips. It’s been years since he last walked the campus and yet it seemed like he was also here yesterday. His eyes lit up at the sight of his college friends, clumped up at a small bench near the field.

“I’m only going if Doyoung is going.” Johnny announced.

“I already told you, everyone is going.” Taeyong answered back.

“I better not be in charge of the fucking booze again.” Taeil complained.

“Haechan will forget half of the things I’ll tell him to buy.” Taeyong rebutted.

Jaehyun stayed quiet. It hasn’t sunk into him yet that he was indeed reliving the past. But why? Was it because of the box he discovered days ago?

This is so fucking weird.

It hasn’t occured to him yet why this is happening. He leaned back at the bench and stared at the clear sky. The chaotic chattering of his friends occupied his ears. He definitely felt young. The aging burden he’s been carrying lately was liften off his shoulders.

Jaehyun’s head started to be spin. He sat straight to stabilize the world around him. Running his hands across his hair, he attempted to speak to his chatting friends. None of them seemed to notice Jaehyun’s distress. It weirded him out that Sicheng was looking at him and talking as if Jaehyun was alright. Black dots appeared in his vision. He blinked rapidly as he glanced one more time among his friends who acted as if nothing was happening. He couldn’t explain the phenomenon. It was like he’s about to faint. Only a sound of static was heard as he closed his eyes - in an attempt to stop the world from turning.

After a few seconds, Jaehyun’s heard started to feel normal. Although, a different type of sound could be heard by his ears. He slowly opened his eyes and stared at his feet. He was standing now. The color of the room was a mix of purple and red. Loud music bounced through the four walls of the room, accompanied by the shouting of people. He was at a party.

Jaehyun looked all around him. He recognized the place immediately. This was Taeyong’s house. Jaehyun felt drunk. It wasn’t the nauseating type of drunk. He felt good; he felt as if he was invincible. He only felt this way while he’s drinking with his friends. He only felt this way when he was with someone he couldn’t put a name into. Jaehyun approached Yuta who was on the couch, rolling a blunt.

“It’s weird to see Jung Jaehyun without a girl under his arm on a party.” Yuta commented. The thick smoke of the blunt covered his smirking face.

“I’m just as confused as you.” He replied.

“Have you seen the freshmen?” Yuta asked. “Boy, Johnny did not lie when he said they were hot.”

“I haven’t yet.” Jaehyun took a sip of his beer. “It’s hard to determine who’s a freshie and who’s not.”

“Taeyong made the freshmen wear a yellow bracelet.”

“Why?”

“So we know who to fuck with and who to not.”

Soon enough, Yuta became occupied with a girl who sat beside him. Before standing up to go somewhere, Yuta handed a small cylindrical container to Jaehyun. “Ten said to give this to you. He said to only take it when necessary.”

The orange, cylinder. The one he saw inside the shoe box in his bedroom. He straightened his back with his heart pounding loudly in his chest. He still wasn’t sure why the hell he’s in this timeline of his life. He was hoping he could know the answers tonight.

“Oops.” A small body collided with his strong one. The impact shook Jaehyun out of his reverie. “I’m so sorry.”

“It’s okay.” Jaehyun replied. “Hey, do I know you from somewhere?”

The girl look at his eyes. Jaehyun felt a heat rush to his ears and cheeks. He was thankful that the lights were dim or else the girl would have noticed his red ears.

“I don’t think so.” The girl replied. “I’m a trasnferee.”

“Really? From where?”

“I took my first year in Yonsei.”

“That’s quiet far from here.” Jaehyun added. “Oh, by the way, I’m Jaehyun.”

“I’m Y/N.” The girl replied, shaking his hand.

A minute ago, Jaehyun had no idea why all of a sudden, he was reliving his college life. Now, he knows why.

A ringing in his head made Jaehyun press his palms against his temples. He shook his head. It was happening again. A nauseating feeling erupted in Jaehyun’s stomach. With a fleeting second, the earth beneath him felt normal. He was almost scared to open his eyes. He was scared of what lies before him. With a gulp, he opened them.

“Come on, Y/N, back me up!” Johnny yelled at the graphic video game in front of him.

“Ugh! There’s so many orcs on my way!” You screamed back.

“Johnny, you’re supposed to heal us too.” Jaehyun complained. Why the hell did he know what to say and what to do in a video game he hasn’t played in decades? “Not just you!”

“Attack, attack, attack!” Johnny commanded.

A series of keyboard clicking erupted through the living room of Johnny’s house.

“Yes!” You all exclaimed as “victory” presented on the screen of your laptops.

“Damn, I’m beat.” You announced, leaning back on the couch.

“I wish we could stay this way forever.” Jaehyun spoke. “Just carefree nerds battling orcs.”

“Who said we’re nerds?” Johnny faked an offending face.

“Yeah, we’re just some college kids who decided to reward their hardwork with these childish games.” You replied.

“I’m proud of you and Johnny for winning the national debate.” Jaehyun said with a huge grin on his face.

“I’m glad I met you guys.” You said wholeheartedly. The men beside you sent gagging sounds over your cheesy sentiment. You playfully punched their arms as you prepared yourselves for another night of video games.

Jaehyun wasn’t supposed to take it but he needed to see you again. It has been a week since he rediscovered the pills Ten gave him. He didn’t know if this could affect his health. He didn’t even know if Ten is still alive. He didn’t know if the pills were legit, if they were expired, or if it was some bad drugs that Ten disguised as magic pills. All he knew was there has always been a hole in his soul. All because of you. For the past years of his life, he wondered what would have happened if things didn’t turn out the way they did.

Memories of you suddenly flooded his mind. The image of your soft hair hitting his face as you frolic through the field together. The warmth of your arms as you hug him out of the blue. Most importantly, he remembered your loyalty. It all came back to him now.

He really shouldn’t have done it but he could only do so much now that one of Ten’s pills was already sitting in his stomach.

His head felt light. The world around him seemed to double as he tried to shake out of it. His fingers felt rigid but his legs were wobbly. Swaying left and right, Jaehyun could hardly make it back to his room. He expected to collapse on to the cold tiles of his bathroom floor but a soft mattress welcomed him instead.

Pill #1

This time, the scenario was happening inside one of the campus libraries.

Wow. So Ten’s pills really do work.

Jaehyun felt selfish. He felt bad that he was running away from his current life to see you again. What else was he supposed to do? He was given the opportunity to fix an unsolved bridge in his past. He’s not letting this time slide.

“I hate this subject so much.” You complained. The table that you and Jaehyun shared was trashed with different variations of papers and pens.

“Come on, what is it about?” Jaehyun asked.

“Something about quarks and photons.” You groaned and rest your head on your palms.

“It’s not that bad. Look,” Jaehyun said. He took a scratch paper and a pen. “It says here that photons aren’t considered as a matter because they don’t have mass. Quarks, however, have mass.”

“Therefore, photons aren’t made up of quarks.” You concluded.

“See? It’s not that bad.” Jaehyun teased.

You glared at his smug face. He chuckled and looked at his phone. There was a message from Jungwoo.

Jungwoo Kim [4:45 pm]: wow lover boy’s on the move

Jaehyun [4:46 pm]: Wtf?

Jungwoo Kim [4:48 pm]: I know about your little crush on Y/N

Jungwoo Kim [4:48 pm]: DO NOT WORRY. ur secret is safe with me ;)

He shook his head at his friend. Jaehyun leaned back at his chair. His eyes remained on your slouching figure. Your brows furrowed as you tried to slow an equation. Your hair swayed in the wind caused by the large fan on the ceiling. Jaehyun hated what happened between the two of you. He was worried, however, about how far each pill could take him. He only had 4 remaining pills left. It boggled his mind how the pills could determine how far in the past it could take Jaehyun.

“You hungry?” Jaehyun asked all of the sudden.

You were taken aback. But it would be a lie to say that you didn’t find Jaehyun attractive. It wouldn’t take a genius to figure that how beautiful he is.

“Yeah.” You replied. “Getting quiet tired of all these studying.”

You fixed all your scattered belongings on the table. The sun was still out despite the time being late into the afternoon.

“It’s a Friday.” You announced. “Don’t you have any plans you should be preparing for right now?”

“The guys are taking it easy this weekend.” Jaehyun answered. “There’s a lot of exams coming up.”

“Wow, for such party people, you sure are responsible.”

“Hey, it’s not easy being a business management major.” Jaehyun’s response made you laugh. “What made you take up physics?”

“I like the universe.” You replied. “More than that, I like how there’s still so much left to be answered. What causes things to function they way they do? What happens inside a black hole? Can you get out? When will the universe reach its unevitable end and what happens after that?”

Jaehyun watched you as you rant on and on about why you chose to study that. He saw the gleam in your eyes as the skies washed your face with its golden light.

“I hope I can live long enough to know the answers.”

The last few words of your sentence bounced back and forth. The golden skies whirled and Jaehyun waited for it to happen again. As if bracing for impact, he held his head between his hands and closed his eyes.

“A little birdie told me that you have a little crush on someone.” You were wearing a yellow sun dress.

The meadow behind you was filled with flowers matching the color of your dress. The skirt of it flowed through the wind as you held your head to keep your hat from flying.

“What? What crush?” Jaehyun stuttered.

“Come on, Jaehyun, who’s the lucky girl?” You looked at him with doe eyes.

You.

“I’ll tell you once I ask her out.” Jaehyun replied.

“Ugh,” You groaned. “How about this: I tell you who my crush is and you tell me mine.”

“Deal.” Jaehyun wanted to slap himself for agreeing.

“I have a crush on Johnny.” You confessed.

Jaehyun felt a pang in his chest. You like Johnny. Of course, you would. Johnny is a sweet and smooth guy. He tried his best to hide his frown.

“Oh.” Jaehyun muttered. “Well, I like Mina.”

You smiled sweetly at him, clearly impressed with yourself that you got him to confess. You turned your back from him as you frolic in the field. Jaehyun could only watch your swaying figrue as you drift farther and farther away.

Jaehyun woke up in cold sweat. The shine was starting to shine through the windows. He groaned as he sat up in the bed. He glanced over the bedside table. There stood two photo frames - one of him and his wife and one of his son. The death of his wife was followed shortly by the death of his father. Jaehyun loved Adelaine. She was a woman of psychology - respected and adored by many. He lifts the frame and looked at their young and smiling faces. Jaehyun was happy. He lived a happy life, with a loving wife and a smart son. His smile soon fell as he remembered his dream last night.

“Tought night?” Kun slipped a cup of coffee on Jaehyun’s desk.

“Nah.” Jaehyun replied, getting the cup. “Just watched some movies until it was 3:00 pm.”

“Is this what living alone does to a man?”

“Shut it, Kun.” Jaehyun growled.

‘I’m just kidding.” Kun laughed. “Hey, you ready to meet the physicists this afternoon?”

Jaehyun could only swallow bitterly.

Your hopes and dreams lingered in Jaehyun’s mind. For the longest time, he believed that you, among many of his friends, were one of the reasons behind the darkest days of his life. He believed that the reason the universe made him rediscover the shoe box was to remind him of why he should think that way. Aside from your hopes, your laugh echoed through Jaehyun’s brain. All of a sudden, he felt guilty for having to experience the joys of life. He figured that if he became happy, you should be too.

Many reunions came along and he never found you in any of them. He would ask your mutual friends where you were - if you were still alive. They all answered the same thing: “I don’t know.” It was as if you never existed. A part of him wanted to believe that you were gone; probably to alleviate the guilt and pain. Besides, there’s no reason for you to ditch all reunions and disappear from the face of the earth. A bigger part of him believed that you just moved on with your life - whether still with vices and or without. He wanted to know what happened. He wished he gave his younger self a chance to turn and see you one last time.

He was definitely swallowing another pill tonight.

Pill #2

The pain felt fresh. In real time, it would have been 30 years since Jaehyun’s parents dropped the news about their divorce. Right now, the pain in Jaehyun’s chest was stinging. In real time, he would have forgotten the words his mother threw at his father. But right now, it still rings in his ears as if he just heard it an hour ago.

“I wish I could do something, bud.” Ten spoke silently beside him.

Jaehyun could only smile. The divorce was something Jaehyun carried with him throughout his whole life. He was afraid of failing at marriage, he was afraid of hurting his children.

“It’s okay, Ten.” Jaehyun replied.

“You know what,” Ten went to one of his drawers and pulled out a small, clear bag. “I’m not sure if you’re gonna agree, but I can assure you this takes away the pain.”

Jaehyun could only stare as Ten emptied a bag into the table. He took his school ID card to form the powder into a thin line. After rolling a piece of paper, he used it to connect the powder to his nostril. The scenario enticed Jaehyun. With the pain he was feeling right now, he wanted to feel something. Before he knows it, he was laying on his back with a burn in his left nostril.

Jaehyun’s mind felt hazy. It was as if he was seeing stars and flying amongst them. He no longer felt the ache of his parents’s divorce, he no longer remembers their arguing. It was as if the universe fell into place. He saw stars, he saw constellations, he saw galaxies. And most importantly, he saw you.

“Penny for your thoughts?” A dazed Ten spoke beside him.

“Y/N.” Jaehyun replied.

He saw you beside him, under him, in front of him. He saw you laughing, smiling, frowning.

A female’s laughter entered the scene. Jaehyun’s vision blurred as the world began warping in front of him. Ten’s body was slowly disappearing from Jaehyun’s vision as he saw a wide, white light. The burn from the light caused Jaehyun to shut his eyes close. When everything felt stable again, he slowly opened them.

This was another scene. He remembers this time like the back of his hand. How he hated every memory of it for it was the start of your ruin. He looked over you as blood left his face.

You threw your head back, forcing the white powder to hit deeper in your system. You looked over a dazed but still beautiful Jaehyun. You laid down beside him.

“Did I do it right this time?” You asked him.

“Yeah.” Jaehyun answered.

You were only looking up at the beaten and growning ceiling. However, little specks of glitter appeared everywhere. The glimmer of the specks shined as they doubled in size and in quantity.

“Can you see that?” You inquired.

“What?” Jaehyun looked over at your amused side profile.

“The stars. I can see them.”

Jaehyun looked up once more at the ceiling. The brightest star was already shining beside him.

“I see it.” Jaehyun answered, still basking in your beauty.

Soon enough, you felt as if your body was floating. You felt as if you could touch the stars. You raised one hand up to touch one of the specks but it vanished at your touch.

“Where the heaven are we?” You spoke.

Jaehyun’s chest began to tighten. In the center of your made up universe emerged a black hole. Jaehyun leaned forward and let it take him.

“I don’t know.” You responded gingerly.

“Come on, Y/N.” Jaehyun insisted. “This would be last one for the week.”

It’s only Wednesday and yet you already wasted Jaehyun’s one week supply of drugs. Johnny shook his head besides him.

“Jae, maybe you should take a break for now.” Johnny suggested.

“But I need an extra boost to finish that history essay!” Jaehyun reasoned out.

His sentiment made you remember why you got an A+ on your essay about quantum mechanics. You remembered the feeling and suddenly, you were craving for it.

“This is the last one for the week, okay?” You said, igniting joy in Jaehyun.

Johnny looked over his friends. In a few years, he would beat himself for doing nothing. Right now, all he did was walk away.

Darkness was slowly introducing themselves in Jaehyun’s vision. It was a signal for another time wrap. Although his nerves went array, he still prayed that it would take him back to a time where you’re sober. The world stabilized itself but the image in front of Jaehyun punched him in the chest.

A bottle of vodka in one hand and a syringe in one. Your once plush cheeks was starting to hollow. The red tint of the lipstick your wore was struggling to hide the blue. You look miserable, but you felt happy. You looked over at Jaehyun - the beautiful man that is Jung Jaehyun.

“Penny for your thoughts?” Your voice was coarse and deep, but it still had the sweetness to it.

Jaehyun looked over your features again. He felt miserable but all he did was smile.

“I like you a lot.” Jaehyun confessed. He does. He adored everything about you. In 30 years, Jaehyun could only remember so much yet he remembers everything about you.

“I like you too.” Your response made Jaehyun rise from his seat. The feeling of your lips against his was something he yearned for decades. And he felt it now.

Sparks exploded between you and Jaehyun.

“What took you so long to do that?” You asked.

“Never had the chance.” He replied.

All he did was blink. All Jaehyun did was sigh and blink. All of a sudden, the scenario changed before him.

“I want more! I fucking want more!” You exclaimed.

The bags under your eyes were darker than it was just seconds ago. Your hair was also shorter, falling just below your collar bones.

“Why are you just standing there? I fucking want more!” You screamed, thrashing around in a chair.

“I can’t give you more until you finish your essay.” Jaehyun warned.

“Fuck that essay!”

Jaehyun’s eyes widened. Just months ago, you were so passionate about physics. You could do an essay or answer an equation in a snap. Now, you couldn’t do anything.

Your mouth felt dry and your throat was coarse. There was a insatiable thirst that water can’t seem to fix. You held your head with your palm as you stare into your lap. This wasn’t you. Just seconds ago, you felt infinite. Now, you just felt empty. You needed more but the rational part of your brain screamed no. You wanted to feel something, to feel alive. That’s why the next thing Jaehyun knew, you were kissing him with all your might.

The force of your lips againts his gave Jaehyun the signal to lead you to the bedroom. It was beyond Jaehyun’s morals to fuck you while you’re high but he couldn’t find any other way to silence you. The soft mattress was soon adorned with scattered clothing and two lovers. Each sensation of Jaehyun inside you drove you to a frenzy, it gave you a feeling of bliss that you never felt before. You loved the stars, you love the galaxies. Tonight, you didn’t have to be an astronaut to see the universe unfold before you.

“I want to live with you forever.” You whispered against Jaehyun’s lips.

Jaehyun clinked his glass with Johnny. The dark whiskey swirled inside the glass as Jaehyun started at his aged reflection.

“Hey, Jae?” Johnny called out to him.

“Yeah?”

“Do you still remember Y/N?”

Johnny’s question made Jaehyun’s heartbeat race. The memories of his time exploration last night was enough to answer Johnny’s question. But Jaehyun refused to tell Johnny all about it. The older man would probably just conclude it as an “aging hallucination.”

“Yeah, I do. Why?”

“I still wonder what happened to her.” Johnny answered. “It was as if she vanished from everyone’s memory.”

“Me too.”

“Did you regret it?”

“What?” Jaehyun looked at Johnny, confused.

“Did you regret getting her into drugs?” Johnny said. There was a hint of sterness in his tone.

“What kind of question is that, John?” Jaehyun retorted.

“I’m just wondering.” Johnny took a sip of his whiskey before continuing. “If she hadn’t started drugs, who knows where she would be right now.”

“Are you blaming me?” Fury was starting to ignite within Jaehyun.

“I’m not?” Johnny asked. “But based on your reaction, I have a feeling you do regret what you did to her.”

Perhaps Johnny was right. The reason why Jaehyun still chooses to reminisce his days with you was because he blamed himself for what happened to you. But that’s not something he will admit, not even to his best friend.

Pill #3

This time it was different. Instead of Jaehyun living as the past Jaehyun, he couldn’t do anything but watch as his old self seat in front of the university dean - as if he was a bystander in his old life. He tried to catch the attention of the old Jaehyun, but it was as if he wasn’t even there.

“Do you know that this could get you kick out from the university?” The dean spoke with anger laced in his voice. “When did you even start?”

“5 months ago.” Jaehyun replied with a small voice.

“Look, I’m only giving you another chance because your father is a benefactor of this university.” The dean leaned in, emphasizing every word he said. “If I caught you slipping one more time, it’s over for your stay in the university.”

All Jaehyun did was watch the dean with furious eyes. He wanted to scream but he knew that he wouldn’t get anything good out of it. The dean’s warning went through one ear and out the other. He huffed before leaving the office. Anger rushed through every vein in his body.

Outside the office, you fiddled with your thumbs. The Johnny was beside you who busied himself by kicking rocks off the pavement. Your licked your extremely chapped lips. No amount of lip balm could smooth them away. It was starting to worry you; the whole fiasco of your life falling apart worried you. You wanted to quit, but you didn’t want to leave Jaehyun alone.

“How did it go?” You asked once you saw Jaehyun come out from the office.

“They’re giving me one last chance.” He replied. He took your hand in his and rubbed his thumb on the back of it. “It’s gonna be fine.”

“Dude, this is getting worse.” Johnny said quietly. He was geniunely concerned for the welfare of his two friends.

“Johnny, if you have nothing else better to do than blame me,” Jaehyun cocked his head in bubbling anger. “Then just fucking go away.”

Johnny clenched his jaw at Jaehyun. He knew better than fighting with Jaehyun since it could lead to more trouble. He trudged his feet away from the two of you.

“He was only trying trying to help.” You said, carefully.

“So, you’re on his fucking side now?” It was you he was cocking his head at.

“No,” You defended. “Of course not. Look, let’s just go home.”

The walk back to his dorm was quiet. It wasn’t filled with deep talks and laughter as it used to. It was filled with anxiety and trembling fingers. The cold air of Jaehyun’s room greeted your frail body.

“Jaehyun,” You called out to him. “I don’t wanna do this anymore.”

“What?” he turned around to face you. “What do you mean? You don’t want to see me again?”

“No! I do want to see you again.” You replied. “It’s- We have to quit, Jaehyun.”

Tears were forming in your eyes as you whispered the last sentence. You fear that he wouldn’t understand. You wanted so bad to say that it was his pain that caused this.

“We’re hurting people, Jae.” You whispered. “We’re about to hurt ourselves.”

“You don’t understand, Y/N.” Jaehyun said. “You don’t understand anything.”

“Jaehyun, trust me, I’m trying to understand you.” Your voice was starting to shake. “But, this is ruining us.”

“No, we’re not quitting.” Jaehyun said firmly. “This isn’t ruining who we are. You said you felt happy. Did you lie?”

The response he got was your first sob. This was the first time you sobbed in front of Jaehyun. You were vigorously shaking your head, trying to get him on the same page as you.  

“I’m failing my classes, Jaehyun.” You held back a sob. “I’m losing who I am. I don’t know who the fuck I am anymore.”

“You’re still the Y/N I love.”

“You did this to me!” You exclaimed, your voice accompanied with your cries. “You did this to me, Jaehyun. I can’t do this anymore.”

“And now what? You’re gonna leave me?” Jaehyun’s eyes was starting to water themselves. “Okay. Go on. Leave me.”

“Why do you keep on doing this to me?” You were running out of energy to fight.

“What?”

“Everytime I try to help you out of this, you just turn the game against me.”

“Why the hell is everyone portraying me as the bad guy here?” Jaehyun’s tone turned louder. “It’s not my fault my parents fucking divorced and it made me fucking messed up!”

“Jaehyun-” He cut you off.

“You will never understand anything, Y/N.”

“Why do you act as if you’re the only one with all the problems here?” You tried to match the angry tone of Jaehyun, even though it was scratching your throat. “Do you even remember that you were the one who get me into drugs?”

“It’s not my fucking fault you were too much of a coward to resist, Y/N.”

His sentence broke you. All of the patience and the temper you held for him - in understandin him - vanished in a snap. Tears were falling like thunderstorms on your cheeks. Slamming the door behind you, you walked far away from Jaehyun’s dorm.

Watching from a safe distance, the present Jaehyun remembered this scene all too well. The betrayal he felt in his heart. He wanted so bad to run and get in between you and the old him. He wanted so bad to tell you that he was willing to quit.

With present Jaehyun watching you from a far, he saw that you bumped into Johnny near the campus.

“Fuck, Y/N.” Johnny held your wrists. “What the fuck happened?”

All you did was cry on his chest. Johnny tightened his grip around you as he let the front of his shirt be soaked with your angry tears. Jaehyun watched - his admiration for his best friend only blossomed. Somehow, he wished that it was Johnny you fell in love with.

“Will things ever be okay for us?” You whispered.

“It will.” Johnny answered. “I promise you, it will.”

He was willing to do lose his happiness for you. All he could do, however, was wish it was what the old him was thinking.

Pill #4

Just like the last time, Jaehyun could only watch. He could only watch as you tossed and turn in your bed, sobbing your eyes from the pain. Jaehyun wished you were crying because of him, but he’s entirely certain you weren’t.

You wish you listened to Johnny. The amount of times he held you and Jaehyun from returning to drugs. You felt magical, that was your argument. All your life, you wanted to feel something.

You laid in your bed, it was the only thing you could do for now. Your spine felt like it could snap into two whenever you attemp to sit or stand up. There was a crawling feeling behind your face and you wanted so bad to peel your face and scratch it off.

“Make it stop, oh my god, make it stop!”

All you could do was cry. Your whole body was in pain, it was burning, aching, pounding all the same time. Your tongue swirled around your mouth to find something moist. You pressed your fingertips on your cheeks again as the crawling sensation was getting worse. You were restless but all you wanted was to sleep. The pounding in your head worsened each breath you take.

All you did was cry. And all Jaehyun could do was watch in pain. You screamed and screamed, hoping someone outside your door would hear you. Two girls came bursting through your room door as they scurried to call 911.

“Oh my god, Y/N, what happened?” A girl who Jaehyun remembered as Nayeon asked you in panic.

“Kill me! Oh god, kill me!” You pleaded, your voice scratching.

A boy came and carried your heaving body outside the door.

This was a scene Jaehyun never saw. It was as if the pills was nothing more than just a punishment for abandoning you. He cursed at himself for ever thinking that he could save you.

There was a stabbing pain through Jaehyun’s chest. The area where his forearm meets his wrist had a piercing sensation. The world was closing in on Jaehyun’s body. And he let it.

Jaehyun knew what happens next. 30 years ago, he was admitted to the hospital for overdosing on drugs. He knew that you were staying on the floor beneath his. Yet, he did nothing. He didn’t check up on you, he didn’t contact your parents to find out if you were even alive or responding. Jaehyun had many regrets in his life, but he could never find one regret that he resents more than that one.

“Hey,” Jaehyun slowly entered Johnny’s office.

“Hey.” Johnny responded. The argument from last night was still lingering between the two man.

“Look, Johnny, I’m sorry.” Jaehyun started. “It’s just that what happened during that time in college was really hard to me.”

“I know, Jaehyun.” Johnny said. “I’m sorry I even brough Y/N up.”

“I appreciate your concern for me, John.” Jaehyun reassured. “It’s not your fault I couldn’t own up to my mistakes.”

“I just miss her, you know?” Johnny stared at the whiskey in front of him. “I wish she was here celebrating accomplishments with us.”

“I miss her too, buddy.” Jaehyun whispered. “It hurts not knowing where she is or if she’s even alive right now.”

“I remember going to arcades and flower field with her.”

Jaehyun could only nod and smile at his best friend. What happened back in college was something sensitive even between close friends. Jaehyun only stayed friends with a few people from college.

“I feel like we need let the memory of Y/N go.” Jaehyun spoke again, breaking into a sincere smile. “I don’t know if we’ll ever see her again but all I could do right now is pray that she’s happy and well.”

“You really think we can’t see her again?” Johnny’s demeanor showed remorse.

“I don’t think she’ll want to see me again, anyway.” He replied.

Pill #5

The eerie sound of a machine beeping filled Jaehyun’s ears. The first thing he saw as he opened his eyes was the horizontal lines of light in the ceiling. He squinted before looking around the room. A doctor clad in a white coat was besides the hospital bed.

“How are you feeling, Mr. Jung?” The doctor asked, shifting his eyes from Jaehyun and back to his clipboard.

“Uhm, I’m thirsty.” Jaehyun spoke. “And a bit groggy.”

“I’ll run a few test first before I could speak on your condition.” The doctor said. “For now, I’ll have someone come up with water. Please rest now.”

Jaehyun nodded. He laid his head back into the pillow, squinting his eyes from the light. Before the doctor could leave, he turned around and said, “This is your last chance, Mr. Jung.”

Jaehyun remained stagnant over the doctor’s sentence. Last chance at living? He knew that. He knew that he overdose and if he did it again, it would cost him his life. The doctor’s last words remained in his mind. He wasn’t sure if he remembers that happening years ago.

“Hey, buddy.” Johnny entered the room slowly.

“Hey.” Jaehyun’s eye lit up at the sight of his friend.

“How are you?” The look on Johnny’s face wasn’t something Jaehyun expected. A blurred red rim around his eyeballs and his eyelids looked swollen.

“Have you been crying?”

“Of course I am! I just received a message that you overdosed! What the hell was I supposed to do?”

“I’m sorry for lashing out the last time.”

“It’s alright.” Johnny said. “I’d rather have you mad at me than you dead.”

“You’re the best, Johnny.” Jaehyun chuckled.

“Y/N is just under this floor.” Johnny said out of the blue. “Do you want to visit her?”

“No.” The answer was automatic - as if Jaehyun didn’t have to think before muttering an answer.

“I’m guessing things didn’t end well between the two of you?”

“It’s for the best.” Jaehyun revealed.

“Why the hell do you not want to visit her downstairs?”

I saw her suffer.

“I don’t know.” Jaehyun sighed. “I promise I’ll talk to her once I’m out of here.”

Jaehyun felt his eyelids became heavy. He laid back as the world spinned around him one last time.

Jaehyun was walking. A second ago, he remembered falling asleep in the hospital bed. The next thing he knew, he was with father, walking towards the exit of the hospital. As he walk through the hallways, he passed by the room you were assigned to. A doctor pushed her way into the door of the room. The gap made by her action gave Jaehyun a small glimpse of what was inside. Tubes and machines were attached your face. The brief glimpse failed to give Jaehyun a look if you were awake.

He turned away. Y/N wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for me.

Each step he took reminded him of something you said.

“I like the universe.” Step.

“I like you too.” Step.

“I want to live with you forever.” Step.

“Make it stop!” Step.

“Where the heaven are we?” Step.

Jaehyun glanced back at the hospital gate. His breathing deep but steady. The cold, winter breeze pushed back against his rigid body as he stared into the clear doors of the hospital. It was a battle; his legs telling him to run through the gates but his mind didn’t cooperate. A rational part of his brain told him to go back but he did the opposite, pivoting towards the parking lot where his dad was headed.

Jaehyun’s heart tightened, his eyes threatening to let the tears go. Finally, he realized why the hell he was reliving the past. All his life he wanted to know what happened to you. Now, here he is - outside the same hospital he last heard you were in. He was a few steps away from the answers. A summer image of you with the brightest smile flashed before him. He wanted to go back. His vision was starting to go black. With rapid breaths, he turned around. The black dots where getting larger but he fough through it. He blinked and swing his head, hoping it could stop the world was falling in front of him.

As he was about to push the gates open, the world turned dark.

Jaehyun couldn’t believe it. He had one shot of finding out and yet he screwed it up. He let out a painful groan on his pillow. He scurried back to the bathroom and messily searched for the orange cylinder.

Empty.

The chances were out.

“Fuck!” He gripped the roots of his hair in frustration.

Jaehyun leaned on the sink and took deep breathes. The pain was dormant for the longest time now, and then suddenly it erupted like hot lava. It burned all corners of his heart - even corners that belonged to Adelaine.

Jaehyun could only weep, as the aching hole in his heart stinged worse than before.

The river reflected the tall buildings of the city. A pink hue was starting to paint all over the wide skies. There is a great big world out there. He sighed as he reminisced his life. The laughter, the tears, the heartbreak - every single bit of what happened molded Jaehyun into the man that he is now. A man that new more than solving problems with bigger problems. It wasn’t easy cutting strings with stuff that made you feel limitless. But this is the real life - you are finite. No amount of liquor or grams of drugs could ever change that. There are definitely areas in Jaehyun’s life that he wished he could change. However, that would mean he never grew as a person. If Jaehyun could bring back one last thing before he returns to dust, it would be a chance to see you again. The age old question of where you are now was still unanswered. Some hoped you were alive, some decided to close that chapter of their lives completely. Jaehyun hovered the pen over the blank piece of paper.

Dear Y/N,

How are you? I hope life made you well. This is Jung Jaehyun. Do you remember the time you told me about why you decided to study physics? I hope you’re on your quest towards the answers to your questions. I am more than happy that the magnetic force of the earth helped me meet you. It’s not gonna be long until one of our bodies combust into nothing but stardust. And until then, I am eager to meet you again.

You met me at a happy point in my life. I was a promising student with a clear record. You were there during my peak and you were there when I collapsed. You know what? I don’t think I was happy I ever met you. If I didn’t know you, you wouldn’t have collapsed with me. Who knows where you would be if the addiction never happened. When you asked me if things were ever going to be okay for the both of us, I wish I never said yes. I wish I never promised you that things will get better because I am living in constant guilt that it only happened to me. Where are you now, Y/N?

I remember thinking to myself that I wanted to die before I turn 30. I joked about how I don’t have to worry about wrinkles because I really didn’t think I was gonna live beyond 25. But, the moment you told me you wanted to live with me forever - it made me think twice. You said you wanted to live with me forever - I don’t care if we’re lovers or friends - then, where are you now, Y/N?

Johnny, Taeyong, and Jungwoo misses you a lot. Why didn’t you come to the reunions? Did I hurt you that much? You should have come for them anyway. Johnny and Jungwoo still lives in the city. If you’d like, you can always visit them.

For all the things I’ve done, Y/N, I am so sorry. If I could turn back time once more, I would have done anything. In our next life, can you promise me that you’ll find me and tell me it’s alright? There’s still so much questions I cannot answer. My heart will always yearn for you.

I actually think I finished this chapter about a week before my wedding. Things are starting to get intense~ Are you ready? 

There wasn’t a day Jeno didn’t regret not making things official with you sooner. What he also didn’t expect was his soon to be ex best friend to act on his feelings towards you either. “You were the one who dumped me Tzuyu, not the other way around. We could’ve had what the two of them do but you decided to screw it all up when you dumped me for someone who has zero interest in you. They’re cool people and you can’t tell me who to and not to be friends with anymore.” Xiaojuns voice boomed through the door.

You and Jeno looked at each other wide eyed. He pulled you into your old room when you both heard the door knob jiggle and the two of you stayed quiet until the footsteps disappeared down the hall. You heard someone sniffling and another person releasing a frustrated sigh.

“Who would’ve thought.” Jeno whispered as you grabbed something from the closet, “I wonder what he meant by that.”

“The rumor of her dumping the top student of their previous academy isn’t a rumor. But now we know the top student was Xiaojun.” you whispered back nodding slightly, “I guess they have history. Now the question is...why you?”

“What do you mean why me?” Jeno asked, no longer whispering as he feigned offence, “Have you looked at me?” 

“Yea, at different stages of life.” you said wrapping your arms around his neck as he pulled you closer by the waist so that your noses were touching, “I like this one the best.” you grinned, making him chuckle and peck you on the lips, “We’ll meet back here and head to dinner together?” 

“Sounds good.” Jeno said, pecking your lips once more, elated that he could do this anytime now, “Try not not to break anything.” 

“And try not to get distracted. We all know how you and Soonyoung can be when you’re together. Focus.” you said pushing his forehead backwards, “Have a great day, see you soon.” you shared a kiss before you pulled away and the two of you smiled at each other, “So what are these bracelets Jaemin was talking about?” you asked as the two of you walked down the stairs and to the living room.

“You’ll see later.” he answered, giving your hand a squeeze and just as you reached the bottom of the stairs, Renjun took you from Jenos grasp in the most graceful manner which left a few people surprised and Jeno could not have felt more thankful. He knew you were curious and he wasn't ready to give you this surprise yet. 

“We gotta go.” Renjun said, “Dinner Resos at 8 since a few of the other NCT Club members want to come down. Yuta has a place nearby here so they’re going to crash there. If we want to go through everything we have planned we need to start asap.” 

“And I also have to talk to you.” you whispered to him. It was just the two of you in the entryway and everyone else were getting their things together. Thankfully, everyone planned to stay in the city for the weekend and had a change of clothes. 

“Is it about…?” Renjun asked, his eyes nudging towards Xiaojun and Tzuyu who were whispering to each other.

“Mhm.” you nodded and Renjun chuckled.

“Moomin Cafe date after dinner?” he suggested and you grinned, “Unless you want to spend the night with Jeno.” 

“I think I could squeeze in some Renjun time.” you said with a wink, linking your arms as you entered the elevator, opting to meet everyone in the lobby so you could talk more, “Do you believe it?” 

“My friends from the ballet academy confirmed it last night. Xiaojun and Tzuyu were indeed a thing but they’ve been on and off.” Renjun said, “That explains why she hovers whenever he’s around other girls. How do you know what happened?” 

“They were arguing in the bathroom next to my old room.” you said, “But things don’t add up…” you said narrowing your eyes and Renjun chuckled.

“We’ll talk about it later. In the meantime, try to talk to Xiaojun, he kept asking questions about you yesterday. Do you two know each other or something” he said, keeping an eye on the elevator doors as you waited for everyone else.

“No? This is my first time meeting the guy. Why would he be asking questions about me?” you asked surprised and Renjun shrugged, “What kind of questions were they?” 

“Turns outs he and Yukhei were in the same friend group before he transferred and Yukhei had told stories about you and got intrigued. He was surprised you were connected to Jeno, they competed against each other last year.” Renjun answered and your eyes widened, “He was second place.”

“That explains why Jeno’s so tense around him…” you said furrowing your eyebrows, “So they’re acting that they don’t know each other?” you asked as you heard the sound of the elevator and everyone walked out and the two of you stopped talking knowing the conversation would continue later and Renjun just nodded.

“So when do auditions start?” Yuta asked as the group walked to the dance studio, Xiaojun was talking to Renjun, including you in the conversation from time to time and YangYang was on your other side.

“Two days.” you answered, “Our first school is the Academy Soonyoung goes to, after that we have a few road trips and we end at SMAA.”

“Then rehearsals start right away once we get back to Europe.” Renjun added, “The other two will be busy with selecting members for their junior team from the existing training camp and those who make it from the auditions from here.” 

“Wait, so how does the junior competition team work?  There’s going to be members from both here and there?” YangYang asked confused, “How are practices and everything going to work out?” 

“Two divisions.” you said, you and Renjun knew Jeno and Soonyoung had spent a lot of time coming up with a proper format. They were young but had enough experience in leadership that they were able to come up with something that even AnneMarie and the rest of the board agreed to. Though it was announced now that Jeno was going to be a coach, he’d been working from behind the scenes since you left. “It’s actually really cool. At first it was just Soonyoung but adding Jeno made things a lot easier for him. Are any of you guys planning to audition?” 

“I’m...thinking about it…” YangYang said hesitantly, “I heard a lot about the Selects during my time in Germany and I always wanted to know what it was like.” 

“You should, even if you don’t make it.” Renjun encouraged, “SMAA is the only school where live auditions will take place throughout the whole process so a few more of our Senior members are going to fly in to judge.” 

“Isn’t that confidential information?” Xiaojun asked with a raised eyebrow and Renjun shook his head.

“All in the notice.” he said as you approached the dance studio where the Foreign Select team members held their practices and meetups. “All the requirements are listed and you have to make all of them in order to audition, Good luck.” 

While your group hung out at the dance studio for the day, Jeno, Yukhei, Soonyoung, Chenle, Yeeun and Tzuyu were spread amongst the apartment. Jeno and Soonyoung were in the den reviewing videos and taking notes. They were both wearing earbuds connected to a dual jack and anyone could see the focus on their faces as they reviewed each video. They would pause briefly to point out certain parts of a routine or a move they liked and the notebooks in front of them slowly filled up. Occasionally the two would get sidetracked and end up on Youtube but they did take small break where they just talked. 

The current topic at hand was a sensitive one and Soonyoung had been nominated to bring it up with Jeno since he was the closest to him.

“Have you talked to Jisung at all since the incident?” he asked casually as the two were taking a food break in the kitchen. He could see Jeno tense as he stirred his cup noodles. 

“What’s there to talk about?” Jeno asked in the same manner as he slurped a mouthful of noodles, “He made a move on Y/N when he knew how I felt about her AND he did it knowing I was an ocean away. He knows what he did and he knows how I feel.” 

“But…” Soonyoung hesitated and Jeno looked at him curiously from the corner of his eye, cup to his lips, “Do you know how Y/N feels about the situation? She and Jisung were best friends…and so were you.”

“His loyalties changed the moment Y/N came to SMAA.” Jeno interjected, “It was obvious but I just pretended not to see it. You should’ve seen when the two of them were together. He would subtly flirt with her during practices, stay at her house late at night and he would even sleep over all the time and he could, because they were best friends and they had done it so many times before.” he sighed in defeat, “I trusted him.” 

“He knows it was a mistake. He’s paying for it now.” Soonyoung reasoned and Jeno shrugged, he knew Jisung was the top nomination for team captain of the new competition team and after seeing his progress videos, Jeno had to agree despite what he felt for his former best friend, “Just...try to talk to him before you head over...he deserves at least an explanation. He made a mistake and he knows it...Chan says that he misses his best friend and you know Y/N thinks about him too. Just hear him out. For the sake of both your friendships”

Jeno pondered his friends words for a moment as he went through the pros and cons in his head. He knew his friend was right and Jisung did deserve to be heard out. He knew that you had no plans on contacting Jisung till your return to Europe so it would make sense to set everything straight before then. He also knew how much you missed Jisung as you watched the progress videos Chan sent from time to time. 

“Plus, after you give her the bracelet, isn’t that sealing the deal?” Soonyoung added, nudging Jeno in the side and thats when he sagged his shoulders.

“Fine…” Jeno sighed, “I’ll hear him out. But if he tries anything after Y/N gets back, I get to throw a punch.” 

“As long as you set it straight, then it’s on him.” Soonyoung agreed and the two continued to converse, eventually going back to review the videos.  Little did they know, someone had overheard their conversation and Soonyoung was quick to notice when he saw a shadow looming around the corner and quickly changed the subject while texting Lucas and Yeeun, “So when are you planning on giving Y/N the bracelet?” he asked and motioned to the shadow by the door.

“I was going to give it to her before she leaves for Europe again but Jaemin kind of spoiled the surprise.” Jeno answered and narrowed his eyes, “She’ll get it when she least expects it...we...should get back to reviewing the videos though if we want to meet the rest of the group in time.”

Soonyoung agreed and just as fast as it appeared, the shadow was gone. As they exited the kitchen, they heard whispers around the corner and shared a look before making their way back to Jeno’s office.

“What do you think you’re doing Tzuyu?” Yeeun asked, “That was obviously a private conversation. This is the second time I’ve caught you eavesdropping.”

“Second time?” Chenle asked looking at Tzuyu suspiciously, he had been with Yeeun and Lucas when they had received the text from Soonyoung and got curious, “There was a first?” 

“He was talking to Y/N and Renjun a few weeks back and she was about to walk in but I stopped her.” Yeeun stated with a sigh and Chenle raised his eyebrows.

“Seriously?” He asked. “But I thought you and Xiaojun were a thing.” he said, making Yeeun gasp and Yukhei looking at the girl with wide eyes with hints of confusion.

“I didn’t believe it when they said it was you who made a move on Jeno at Nationals last year.” he said with a hint of disgust and Yeeun whipped around to look at her boyfriend for confirmation and Yukhei started to explain.

“There was a rumor going around that the girlfriend of the second placer at Nationals last year made a move on Jeno right after the awards ceremony.” he started and narrowed his eyes knowing that that the rumor he heard was true, “Right in front of Xiaojun...this explains why the two of them can’t be in the same room for long…She kissed him so Xiaojun already sees Jeno as a bad guy.” 

“Wait what?” Yeeun asked with wide eyes turning to look at the girl who looked annoyed, “She  made a move on Jeno?” she asked and Yukhei nodded.

“Remember, this is all before Y/N and Jeno reconnected.” he added giving her a pointed look, “She dumped her second place boyfriend for the National Champion who wasn’t even interested. Yet he stuck by your side, even transferring schools with you so you wouldn’t be alone. Just like you promised.” he looked at Tzuyu with a knowing look, “When you were both children. Xiao’s keeping his promise, a promise he made when you were five. He’d always protect you because you were his princess.” his eyes narrowed slightly and he knew from the look on Tzuyu’s face that he was right.

Tzuyu’s eyes widened while Yeeun and Chenle looked confused.

“Wait, so you and Xiao are childhood friends like Y/N and Jeno?” Chenle asked and his voice got slightly louder, “AND you really kissed him at finals last year?”  

“This explains why you’re still after him…” Yeeun muttered, eyebrows furrowed and a thought suddenly popped in her head making her gasp and suddenly she was making an excuse to leave and Yukhei was quick to follow her, leaving Chenle and Tzuyu alone.

Chenle looked at the Tzuyu with a blank look as she shrunk back, arms crossed. He heard about the rumor from a few of his friends who went to watch Xiaojun perform at Nationals and how he was left heartbroken at the end of the night because he caught Tzuyu kissing someone else. He didn’t realize that it was Jeno until much later and by then, he had heard about him from you on various occasions. After meeting the guy and hearing your story, he didn’t think that Jeno had initiated the kiss, he was wayyyyyy too whipped for you. 

It sickened him that Jeno could go from Alpha male to puppy with just the sound of your voice. He was suddenly worried that Xiaojun would seek revenge on Jeno since it was obvious the two knew each other. Though they tried to hide it, he knew it was the main reason Jeno had separated himself from the group and naturally, Jaemin and Hana followed, they were his friends first.

“I wish you would stop and think about how the others feel for once. You did this twice and you know it’s the reason why Xiaojun lost his best friend.” Chenle stated, “All you’ve done is step on his heart but he takes you back. He takes you back because he loves you and you always ignore that fact. He’s my friend too Tzuyu but so are Y/N and Jeno and I don’t want to see any of them hurt. They’re happy and you could be too.” he said, his voice filled with emotion, “If you just saw the man that you turned into a monster after you cheated the second time. You could be happy”

Suddenly, Chenle gave Tzuyu a stern look that sent a shiver down her spine, “The monster who we both know has been seeking revenge on Jeno for your mistake. If either Y/N or Jeno get hurt because of you or Xiaojun, you can kiss your transfer papers goodbye. Don’t forget why you had to have your transfer papers pushed. Remember, I know things too. Y/N and Jeno have worked too hard to get to where they are now. Consider this your only warning.” he finished and side stepped her to leave the room. He decided he’d get updates on the conversation from Yukhei later, someone had to babysit Tzuyu.

Meanwhile, Yeeun had barged into the Den where the two other boys were, making them jump with how aggressive she had entered the room. The two looked at her with wide eyes before removing their earphones.

“Is everything okay…?” Soonyoung asked but Yeeun was too busy looking at Jeno.

“Does Y/N know that you and Tzuyu kissed at Nationals last year?” she asked making direct eye contact with Jeno who was frozen in place from her question. Yukhei entered the room and locked the door before giving the boys an apologetic look and noted Jeno’s frozen figure.

Yeeun really didn’t need an answer since the look in his eyes told her everything.

“Are you going to?” she asked while Soonyoung turned to look at Jeno, his expression unreadable and he inwardly cursed. Soonyoung was obviously your friend first. He had planned on telling you his connection with Xiaojun and Tzuyu this very day but everyone had shown up early, ultimately killing his plans. He was going to tell you everything, including the kiss and his rivalry with Xiaojun. He was going to tell you as soon as you met but he wanted reassurance of your feelings for him and the only way was to ask you to be his girlfriend. 

“She and I were supposed to have a date today.” Jeno started, “Then you all showed up at the crack of dawn, effectively killing our plans. But I was going to tell her.” 

“Wait, wait, wait.” Soonyoungs voice interjected, “What’s going on? You and Tzuyu?” he questioned, “Is this why Xiaojun acts up when you’re with the group?” 

“Probably.” Jeno shrugged, “She came onto me at the awards ceremony last year. I didn’t know who she was at the time until Xiaojun started the fight at the afterparty.”

 “Ah...I knew about the fight, I just never heard who it was between. You went home with a black eye right?” Soonyoung asked and Jeno nodded, rolling his eyes, “You could’ve decked him in one shot if you wanted to.” 

“But I didn’t. What’s the point?” Jeno asked with a shrug, “It was obvious what it was about, it took me a while to realize that it was actually them when we first met.” 

“That explains why you started ditching when we hung out.” Yukhei commented and Jeno nodded.

“Xiaojun seems to have something against me though he acts like a nice guy when everyone else is around. We haven't talked to each other since the fight and even then, things weren’t cleared up. He thinks I made a move on her when it was the other way around but no matter how much I tried to explain.” Jeno  started furrowing his brows.

“You took the punch regardless.” Yukhei finished and Jeno nodded, looking confused as to how he knew what happened the night of the fight, “I was in the same friend group as Tzuyu and Xiaojun before I transferred and I heard from a few of the friends I still talked to that they went to support Xiaojun and were at the after party. We all knew that the two of them were secretly dating on and off but because they were private people, we only teased them on how they acted like a married couple.” 

“Like Y/N and Jeno.” Soonyoung commented and everyone laughed.

“Pretty much.” Yukhei commented with a shrug, “Ever since we met, the two were a pair. When there was one, there was the other. That’s why I found it so ironic that Y/N and Jeno were practically them. The look of protection in Jeno’s eyes reminded me of the same look from Xiaojun.” 

“So you know their history.” Yeeun said looking at her boyfriend who nodded innocently, “And you didn’t bother to tell me?” 

“I didn’t know they were transferring over until I saw them again but at the time, I had already cut ties with that friend group.” Yukhei tried to reason, “That’s why I pretended not to know them, I didn’t think it’d be a big deal. Jeno seemed to know what to do but Xiaojun worries me. Especially with the way he’s been acting these last few days.”

“The two of them were arguing in the bathroom earlier...I dont think Tzuyu wanted Xiaojun to go with Y/N and the rest of them. But Xiaojun seemed adamant on going...” Jeno muttered thinking about the situation and let out a sigh, “Anyways, I’m going to pick Y/N up from the studio. Why don’t you guys put a movie on till we get back?” 

“Movie? The studios a literal ten minute walk away.” Yukhei said, confused, “What about the others?”

“I don’t know. I said I was going to pick Y/N up.” Jeno said, shrugging. “I can’t risk Xiaojun getting to her first.” Getting up, he picked up his phone and stretched, “We’ll meet you guys at the restaurant for dinner.” and with that he was out the door.

he has four kids, 3 girls and 1 boy. nakamoto akari is the oldest daughter, 1 year later, nakamoto yui was born, 4 years later, nakamoto ichika was born, and 5 years after that, the youngest and only boy, nakamoto itsuki was born.

so akari wasn’t too thrilled when the attention wasn’t on her

akari lives for the attention

she also had a lot of energy as a baby

she honestly was just not an easy baby

she wanted everything all of the time

she was just training you for the years to come :)

you have a ton of adorable videos and pictures of her

she became a really famous instagram baby

she has you and yuta wrapped around her little chubby finger

you would watch a lot of slice of life animes and hayao miyazaki style films with her from an early age

she’s always been so fascinated by them

you watched them a lot when you were pregnant with her

and it’s like she was excited to finally watch them

she never really liked the typical cartoons as a baby

she genuinely liked animated shows that have genuine good art styles

she was pretty social as a baby

she also has so much hair

like when she was born, she had a full head of hair

you have to cut her hair like once a month because it’s always growing in her face

when they’d study art in school, people thought it was boring, but she was genuinely interested

she’s also really good at art

like she understood that people don’t have purple skin from an early age

she would always color inside of the lines

akari is an amazing artist growing up

she’s best friends with taeil’s oldest daughter, moon yoojin (they’re born on the same day, 12 hours apart)

yoojin is the type of girl to come home from school exactly as she left

like if her hair was tied up neatly, it would remain that way

akari on the other hand?

she’ll come home covered in paint, markers, mud, you name it

on some days, she comes home wearing different clothes because she got the clothes she was wearing originally so dirty

yoojin came over to your house a lot

you guys were just scared with what akari would do to taeil’s house lol

akari loved to draw on the walls

even when you and yuta scolded her for it, she wouldn’t stop

yuta doesn’t want to stop her from doing what she loves

you obviously don’t want that either

so you guys compromised and let her paint, draw, do whatever she wants on the walls of her room

and her room is full of her creativity

her personality shows through her artwork

yoojin liked to color with her too, but yoojin doesn’t really like to get dirty

akari just always has some sort of stain or marker mark on her clothes/skin 24/7

you’ve honestly gotten used to it at this point

she doesn’t have the princess mentality she had when she was a baby

she also doesn’t hate yui anymore

when ichika was born, akari realized that she has to be an older sister now

and she’s not bad at it

she’s not the best with it, but she does it because she has to

for example, she’ll scold them and keep them in check so you don’t have to scold them

akari does her best to listen to you and yuta, but sometimes she wants to rebel

she was only a little bit rebellious growing up, just because it’s in her nature lol

she loves the heck out of you and her siblings tho

she takes the role as the oldest really well

you usually don’t worry too much about the kids, simply because akari is there for you guys

she travels the world a lot because she needs to learn more about scenes for her art

like if someone wants to go to a theme park, she’ll take them

if someone wants to go to a concert but their parents don’t want to take them

she’s so supportive of all of her little siblings tho

like she goes to all of her youngest brother, itsuki’s, soccer games

she’ll take him to practice everyday

she’ll go to all of their school dances, school plays, everything

yoojin and akari will be there for everything

she has a hard time making friends outside of her family and outside of her work

and she’s totally fine with that

she has a huge friends and family all behind her

everyone loves her stuff

like they always go to the premiers and they buy all of the merch she has

so many people love her art style

and they all want to collab with her

she gets overwhelmed with stuff like this lol

she also is really picky with the people she’ll collab with

she’s not desperate for work

so if she doesn’t vibe with someone

she won’t work with them

easy as that 

she’s a really good animator who is really stressed all the time but still is an amazing older sister to everyone

she slept

sleeping is just her thing

yui was definitely the calm before the storm

you and yuta were a little concerned that she slept so much

but the doctors were like “sometimes kids just sleep a lot”

and she’s one of them

she was the cutest when she sleeps tho

she slept so peacefully every night

she only really bugged you guys when was needed

it was like all of the energy that should have gone to her went to akari 

there were only two babies born the year she was born

it’s yui and mei, sicheng’s daughter

they honestly just vibed with each other growing up

like they won’t do much

they’ll look at each other, laugh, then stop laughing, then look at each other, then laugh again

they’re so chill with each other

her eyes are slightly slanted down

and she always has a sleepy look in her eyes

when she wakes up, she’s wondering when her next nap is gonna be

her favorite place to nap is in your arms

she basically rescues the strays she can find and you guys find owners for the strays

so like one of your cats is missing an eye

it’s simple, but she loves doing it

she’s one of the most successful flower shops in the city she lives in

she loves making flower arrangements for events

whenever any of the kids have any events, they go to her flower shop to get stuff

like all of the major events yoojin has, she’ll have yui take care of it

and when leo’s movie or noah’s photoshoot needs flowers

they’ll ask her

omg okay imagine

so, it’s her birthday but she’s not super big in birthday stuff tbh (she honestly forgets sometimes)

so, the kids all go to her shop one by one throughout the day

and they all ask for her recommendations and ask her what her favorite types of flowers and flower designs are

and she’ll make it, thinking that she’s helping for another event

and at the end of the day, she goes home and is surprised by her whole family (and all of the kids)

and the entirety of her apartment is covered in her flowers

she’s so happy and everything is just so aesthetic and ugh

it’s her dream birthday party and everyone did it for her

she’ll never say no to anyone asking for any help

there’s cats and dogs that roam her shop too lol

honestly, if anyone was feeling stressed or just needs a break from anything

she was so giggly

would never stop giggling tho

the only time she wasn’t giggling, she was crying

when she cried, she cried big

like taeil and his family, you guys had to soundproof your house

i mean, with 4 kids tho, it was a pretty good idea

she had such a big personality from the start

like she screamed a lot

and she laughed a lot

she loved it when people laughed with her too

and even tho you heard it everyday

it still made your heart flutter every single time you heard her beautiful laugh

she gave you a hard time tho

like she needed attention constantly, not like yui

yui slept a lot but ichika never slept

ichika was always always always awake

it seemed like she would only sleep when she literally would pass out

ichika loved the world from the start she doesn’t want to sleep ever because she loves the world too much

akari and yui are very caring towards her

akari will paint her nursery and every school project she made would be for ichika

and yui would grow flowers and bring them to her baby sister

if akari and yui were fighting, they would drop it all to take care of ichika

ichika would make them laugh and would laugh at them all of the time

ichika was full of boundless energy

it’s almost like she teleports across the house

you’ll literally set her down on the couch or something to go feed her

she’s a trouble maker, but she knows when to stop

like she hates it when people are sad

she’ll go out of her way to make them laugh

they love to make funny skits and plays together

like seojoon and his best friend, lee minah (haechan’s oldest daughter), they compliment each other quite well

they’re both really pretty

again, a ton of dudes have crushes on them

a lot of them like ichika because she has a sense of humor

she’s pretty popular at school

she donates a lot of her money to charity

when you were pregnant with him, he kicked the most

yuta was so excited to have a son

like he loves his daughters, don’t get me wrong

but he was just so hyped to finally have a son

the fact that he kicked a lot shows you that he’s a soccer player

yuta was so hyped

everything he got for his son was soccer themed

as a baby, he was still a kicker

like he was just always using his legs

constantly

and when he kicked, he kicked hard

like he for sure gave yui a black eye once or twice

his sisters took such good care of him tho

for the most part lol

the girls will play with their baby brother like a sister

I also have a another question (last one I promise 😬😂). I’m curious as to what’s your favorite variety show moment of each member (when I say variety it can be a tv show, a vlive, something from their YouTube channel, stuff like that)-🥰

Taeil: I have two for Taeil, and they’re both NCT Life related. The first is when Jaehyun was saying nice things about him, and he cried. Taeil is so loved by everyone, and it shows!!! The second is his Hey Mickey cheer leading dance.  He’s really cute, and honestly, he has the cutest little legs. 

Johnny: Him getting to be back home at his parents house will always be my favorite moment, because it’s the most sentimental. That JCC episode almost made me feel like I was coming back home. Like, the emotions I felt while watching it were very real. Also, it’s made me happy to see that Johnny’s friends are his home away from home.

Taeyong: NCT U: The Story of ‘YESTODAY’. It’s one of his favorite songs to have written for, and it’s a song that’s also really meaningful to me. As an animal lover, the part with him and the birds is my favorite. The fact that he also loves animals makes me feel so warm inside.

Yuta: Before I start, can I just say that his laugh is so sweet. I loved him in the Abnormal Summit program. I only linked a small part of the show, but if you can find the rest, it’s worth a watch just for him. I couldn’t stand the other people on the panel, but Yuta sticking up for people’s rights really tells me how good of a person he is.

Kun: It’s hard just choosing one for him. I love watching everything he’s in because the dynamic always changes. He adapts really well no matter who he’s with, which is the mark of a good leader. I would love just a VLIVE with him and Taeyong alone talking about being leaders, but until then, this is my favorite VLIVE with him in it.  Honorable mentions: Dream Plan, NCT LIFE Seoul Trip.

Doyoung: The VLIVE episode where Doyoung, Jungwoo and Mark are playing the balloon popping game. I’ve mentioned it before, but that sweater he’s wearing kills me. I really love the way Doyoung is around both Jungwoo and Mark, like, their chemistry is amazing. There are so many moments that I love regarding him, but this one stands out because I first saw it when I was falling for Doyoung.

Ten: Literally, every single dance video he has ever done. Watching Ten dance feels like a privilege. My favorite has got to be the ‘Devils’ dance practice. He’s so powerful with the way he moves. Like with the rest of WayV, I think Dream Plan is also worth a watch.

Jaehyun: There is this part in the K-pop Stars React To Try Not To Sing Along Challenge where he loses during a song. Everything about him dancing to that song is so adorable. When he stands up and moves his arms in front of Taeyong and Doyoung, who are trying not to cave, I just get heart eyes for him. 

WinWin: The one NCT Life episode where he’s cooking in the kitchen. He’s wearing a yellow shirt, Jaehyun is wearing an orange shirt, and WinWin tries to say ‘Lemon’ but he pronounces it as ‘Nimon’. It is, without a doubt, the cutest mispronunciation in the whole world. WinWin has come so far with his language skills, like, he tries so hard, and I’m just always so proud of him. 

Jungwoo: The Hit The States episode in Atlanta, with Doyoung at the Aquarium. I’ve watched that video an insane amount of times. At this point, it’s the thing that has given me the most comfort over the last few months. I love seeing them two together. Doyoung hitting his head on the glass, then Jungwoo doing the same a second later is peak comedy. DoWoo both interacting with random children, them singing on the ferris wheel (I had that Boat song stuck in my head for months before I realized what it was from), them revealing their personal bucket lists, all makes me very soft for the boy. Honorable mention: the video where Jungwoo, Taeyong, and Jaehyun went to the elementary school, and the Capilano Suspension bridge video.

Lucas: The yoga VLIVE with Lucas, Jungwoo, Yuta & Doyoung. Lucas is so damn funny in this. I’ve tried following the yoga routine, and I can’t because my stomach hurts from laughing so much. I don’t even think he means to be funny sometimes. Honorable mention: Every Dream Plan episode. He has a really warm personality, and watching him be himself has been such a pleasure.

Mark: It’s Dangerous Outside The Blankets. He laughs with his whole body, and him laughing while that drone was stuck on the ceiling is the sound that greets you when you enter heaven. Also, seeing Mark without make-up (and his lil’ mustache 😤), cooking, playing around and being happy makes me very happy. 

Xiaojun: The behind the scenes video to WayV’s ‘Let Me Love U”. When he smiles, it really feels like everything in my life will turn out good. I really enjoy him playing around with his friends, getting to be a part of something that makes him happy.

Hendery: The SMROOKIES ‘Re-born’ ep.2. It’s special to me because it was my first real introduction to Hendery. I knew he was going to be one of my favorites the first time I watched it. Hendery imitating the sound of a cats belly when it’s purring is the cutest thing!

Renjun: I thought really hard about what I wanted for his. There are a lot of moments that stand out, but the one I’m most proud of is Renjun getting to be a part of his own radio show. I just linked an episode from awhile ago, but honestly, every episode so far has been great. It’s nice to see him getting the recognition he deserves.

Jeno: Jeno’s NCT DREAM challenge video. I think what he did for the challenge was really cool and impressive. This whole video, though it is short, really highlights Jeno’s drive to succeed, and his discipline. He keeps trying and trying until he gets it right, which I find super admirable. Also, see Jaemin’s answer.

Haechan: This may come as a surprise, but he means more to me than any other member. When he was injured last year, I took it kind of hard. Not having him for months made me feel grateful for all of the content we do get. My boy works very hard. I hope one day I’ll get to thank him for all of it. It’s not a video, but a voice VLIVE that I happened to catch live, on Valentine’s Day (in Korea). I was getting ready to shower when it came on, and I just remember laying on my floor with my phone up to my ear trying not to sob.😭

Jaemin: The Best Day with NCT DREAM. This whole documentary-type program really touched me. The reason I put it under Jaemin’s is because I know how he loves to volunteer, and that kind of love he has for other people can really be shown in this program. He’s a special person, and I really hope all of that kindness he dishes it find its way back to him a million times over (Jeno too).

YangYang: In the one Dream Plan episode, Ten did something really sneaky during a game and tricked him. YangYang could have reacted with annoyance-like other members would have- but he reacted with such a genuine innocent naivety, that it actually broke my heart to watch. I think this is the moment when I realized how special YangYang was. He trusted Ten so easily. 

Chenle: His interactions with HRVY in that one NCT Daily. Chenle went out of his way to make their guest comfortable by talking with him in his limited English, trying to include him in group things, and just being so friendly towards him. 😩😭

Jisung: The Dancing High episode where he did the Barcode dance with Jang Yoonjun. You can feel his passion through the screen. I remember seeing that for the first time, and realizing how much he’s grown as a dancer, a performer, and as a young man.

one video shows you and hendery sitting in the back of the car while kun and winwin sit in front of you

you made a weird noise by accident but hendery made one back so you both just nodded at each other at the same time like some unspoken agreement was come across

another video of you guys exploring tourist attractions shows you and hendery doing a random dance together in the background before you both stop and point to a digital billboard with wayv on it in sync

moments of peace are rare but when they come around, you and yangx2 are the cutest, most relaxed babies to ever be baby

though he would never admit it to your face in a million years, his favorite moments with you are the ones where you come across a truce and you both let your guards down enough to be extra clingy

A shy boy, this one is. I don’t see Taeil doing a sexy concept, per say, but I can see him doing a more tame version of a sexy concept, like a little provocative dancing here and there. He just doesn’t seem like the type of guy.

Let’s say he does do a sexy concept, and with his idol crush??? Dude would be over the MOON (hehe) about it, to say the least. He would try to leave a lasting impression on them, definitely.

Definitely, one that I see doing a sexy concept. Taeyong is one that can easily control the stage and audience with one glance, so him collabing with his idol crush would be a fire of destruction for the audience. He would be shy while practicing, but once he get’s on stage, it seems like he's a whole new person.

And he can see his idol crush finally staring at him the way he stares at them.

Johnny would be all for this concept, to say the least. When he first got wind of what the music video was about and how close he would be with his Idol crush, he would put up his best acting skills for the mv. For the choreo, he would put more emphasis on the touching, sensually running his hand up their thigh, pulling out all the moves.

He does seem more like a soft boy, but the man could definitely turn on a switch instantly when he steps on to the stage. Hearing he was doing a sexy and provocative concept with his idol crush, Jaehyun would be a little shy at first, but would eventually man up and take charge. which is never a bad thing in my book ;)

Doyoung seems like the type that would go for a more cutesy concept, but wouldn’t say anything if it was with his idol crush. For one, he can finally get close to her and introduce himself, maybe even become friends (and soon to be lovers). Of course, opening your skills every once and a while is a good thing so Doyoung would give it a try.

I can clearly see Yuta giving this a try, especially if it gives him a reason to be close to his idol crush. Of course, he would treat them with the utmost respect while practicing and performing, but this whole concept just sends great shivers down his spine

Another one that I can’t see doing a sexy concept, but I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, right? Kun seems like he would definitely be shy and blushy at first since he's working with his idol crush, but as soon as he gets comfy, he would pull out all the stops so his crush would definitely put this concept as one for the books.

Ten is one that could rock the concept, without a fucking DOUBT. Of course, he’s all cute and silly off stage, but when the camera’s are rolling, fucking hell whoever collabs with him in this concept is l u c k y. If it’’s his idol crush , you bet that Ten will do them hip rolls and keep a smirk on his face.

Idk man, WinWin’s a mixture for me. Like, I can see him not doing a sexy conceot, but I can also see him rocking the fuck outta it. You see, whinwin is definitelyone that’s happy and shy off of the stage, acting more sweet and friendly, but when the right song comes on (especially when it’s with his crush), he would show more of his dominant and masculine side.

I honestly can not see Jungwoo doing a sexy concept, let alone with his idol crush. He has baby boy written all over him in my eyes. For this sake, let’s say he does do the concept. I feel like he would be extremely shy to this, and woul leave the impression of ‘uwu’ to his idol crush. 

But, of course, cuteness goes a long way.

Definitely one that can do a sexy concept, but the matters of his idol crush coming into play, Lucas would be incredibly awkward behind the scenes. Of course, he knows hw to play it up on stage and in the mv, but he would just feel so awkward when the cameras were off and no eyes were on them. His laughter would definitely be a key thing in the behind the scenes of the mv.

Mark can act all tough and sexy all he wants, but he would still feel extrmeely awkward when filming a sexy mv concept with his idol crush. He takes professionalism to a whol new level, but he would also want to make a lasting (good) impression on his idol crush and would want to befriend his idol crush after this so, one day, he could ask them out properly.

the others never let him live this down

he calls you a sweet summer child and swats taeyong away from his monitor while he’s editing pictures of you because nO GET AWAY FROM THIS WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING

and taeyong is swatting him back because thAT’S HIS BIAS WRECKER HE WANTS TO SEE HIS BABY TOO

when seeing you do some sexy moves in a more mature concept he swears he cannot get enough of your expressions and how perfectly executed they are 

eventually he had the one in a lifetime chance to go to a fansign

and he got really nervous because ????WHAT DO I DO??????

does he bring you a gift? write you a note? a question? two? should he wear his favorite pair of socks? or the ones in your favorite color? does that seem really tacky?

he gets really panicky and ends up buying a small little keychain of your favorite character from a cartoon show you said you watched when you were younger

tbh he really hated that show but seeing you get so animated over these 2D characters going on random adventures made him look at the show in a different light

that was until he got caught at 3AM into the third season of the show singing along to one of the songs by johnny who just wanted a glass of water

but when the others find out that he gets to go he goes into denial real fast because he’s “not really interested still and just needs better materials to edit since some of the fansites are at weird angles sometimes”

he apologizes a thousand times in his head because he LOVES those fansites for allowing him and so many others to see such glorious pictures of you and your group

the day of the fansign he’s so jittery and even brought his own camera for photos and brought maybe three extra sd cards

while he’s in the crowd he almost falls to his knees because yOU’RE RIGHT THERE!!!!!

he has to take several deep breaths in order to calm himself and his shaking hands and snaps the first photo

surprisingly it’s actually a well taken photo given that his hands were practically their own earthquakes

when he’s about to take the second picture he sees that you’re looking in his direction and the sparkle in your eye tells him that you’re looking at him directly

and you smile

his heart beats a lot quicker and then he snaps the photo

when he looks away from his camera he finds that you’re still looking at him and you’re giving him a thumbs up, almost as if you were saying “was it good?”

and he gives one back and you smile even brighter and then nod and look away to tend to someone and doyoung swears that he might faint

he keeps taking pictures of you and even some of the other members because they’re also really amazing

but like at least 90% of the pictures are you

when it’s his turn to go through the line it’s honestly at this time that he realizes that you’re the last person along the table

when he’s talking with the other members some of them point out that they saw his favoritism for you and are teasing him a little

one even calls out to you that you have an admirer coming up and his face goes red but the encouraging smiles make him a little more confident

especially when you turned a little pink

when he finally gets to you, he finds that a grin is on his face and it won’t go away

“are all the pictures you took of me good?”

“yeah……” doyoung finds himself just staring at you a little bit and you laugh because you realize that it’s his first time seeing you guys in person

“you’re new? will i be seeing you more often then since you’re here?”

and doyoung finds himself joking around with you a little bit “idk cause i’m starting to have second thoughts”

and instead of finding his humor offensive you laugh and pat his hands a little bit

and you both are like ……….soft

and the two of you keep joking around a little bit until it’s time for him to go

and when you wave at him while holding the little keychain (which yoy loved) and call out for him to make sure he comes more so you can see him often

and he feels his cheeks turning pinker and nods in promise because

he really wants to see you more often too

what a fitting title for an album, because clearly they have no empathy for me. the disrespect for my well-being by continuously wrecking my life. i appreciate it. so im going to put the mvs with each track, because they blessed us with amazing visuals and made videos for the majority of the album. every single track is a hit. *insert slow clap and head nodding*

go. so i have not been one for NCT dream in the past, too bubble gum pop for me (get it ‘chewing gum’, i tried). i appreciated that bad boy vibes i got from NCT 127 and U. so i kept to these units, but woah! where did ‘go’ come from? still such babies but this was insane.

i also had no idea how crazy talented haechan is?!?! those freaking runs, and notes just wrecked it! such talented children.

touch. now fam, this was the one that i had been waiting for because my bias (yes johnny) was in this bop. such an unexpected soft concept from my bad boys NCT 127. this was the cutest/fluffiest concept i ever did see from NCT 127 and i appreciate that. also whoever sings the ‘stick around’ line really just touches my heart and i love it! (side note: first time i watched it, i was literally screaming the whole time saying, “they’re so fluffy, i am going to die”)

that’s my bias, who needs more lines, and more screen time. because dang! just appreciate this...

i think taeyong didn’t get the notice that ‘baby don’t stop’ was done filming.

but it’s chill i appreciate those seamless transitions.

timeless. one that has already made appearance on my playlists. doyoung, jaehyun, and taeil’s vocals just blend so well, i literally cannot handle the ballad. it’s all too much for my little heart. it just gets so soft at the bridge, and the little dips in their voices. so raw.

the 7th sense. such a jam, and has owned my heart from the beginning of my NCT journey. just a few gifs from the original mv, that wrecked me.

like for real this choreo. so smooooooth.

without you. i really love this one. our amazing unit, of powerhouse vocals. those harmonies are just so smooth, and beautiful.

dream in a dream. another great one. ten singing in english, just gets me. i love that it is mainly instrumental, which really allows the mv and choreo to speak to the viewer.

outro: vision. it’s already done. this sounds like it belongs in an action movie. i feel like i’ve been through a roller coaster of emotions and this is very fitting to end on.

random. aka the comeback stages, behind the scenes, shows, and v-lives. everyone must watch the dance practices for every single one of these hits. they do not disappoint.

this weekly idol episode was insanely hilarious.

this v-live is everything! so much extra-ness.

such aesthetics and such great formation and synchronization in everything.

Non-Spoiler Review

This is a very HIGH production with very HIGH production quality. It's also very faithful to the original story. The dancing and ensemble are super professional, the singing and song have some amazing moments, the setting and the apparatus' and how they've moved around the scenes and used in different scenes are great. The projection mapping was great also. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the characters, the costumes, the funny moments. It was a very, very enjoyable stage. This stage is loved by so many people for many different reasons; the production value, the fans of the actors (especially HideSama and Uehara, they both got woo'd at the end when I went), fans of the anime and manga like myself. This series has been in the works for almost ten years (apparently ten years this year) so of course you're not going to be disappointed by what they produce. I am thoroughly pleased with the performances and characters of Ciel, Snake and of course, the ridiculous Druitt! Also the dancing ensemble are absolutely phenomenal in this; I could not stop watching them; their dances were either very very fluid like a dead corpse would be (because that's what they were playing) or very robotic (just like a zombie would be) and it all fit perfectly. While I was originally upset that Tamaki wouldn't be coming back at Snake, I immediately fell for Harachan's Snake; he did perfect! And damn Ciel's Reo is just a phenomenal actor and he will go far; some of the notes he him in the songs actually gave me goosebumps and impressed me a thousand times over. I could go on, but I don't want to spoil anymore for you. If you're already a fan then you're gunna watch it regardless of my review right? xD And if you're not a fan yet, seriously, just give the manga a shot and if you sort like that, then watch the first season of the anime and then if you're sure you like the world and characters enough, (while I do love the absolutely mess and ridiculousness of the first few stages) start from the 2015 stage! You won't be disappointed. Rating: 8/10

SPOILER REVIEW!

As I mentioned in my 2018 Resolutions, I realised how shitty, critical, and negative I was getting in my reviews, so this year I'm being more objective and writing more about the positives; also, every　time I see a play I'm going to ask on twitter what things YOU want me to focus on and write about too so it's more balance and not only pleasing me, but then you're also getting stuff you want to know about the stage out of me, so follow @sambart93 for those! Now to the review!

STORY

Also mentioned above, the stage is very faithful to the original material, so if you want to know the plot to this one either read the Luxury Liner Arc or just go to the synopsis here. This is probably my SECOND favourite Arc that I've read (to be honest I haven't kept up with any of my manga series these past 13 months or just including Kuroshitsu... I'm sorry!) in the Kuroshitsuji series and for the stage to be so faithful to the original material made me so happy!

THE POSITIVES

PART ONE [About 1 hour]

My seat was Row V, which actually ended up not being bad at all! It was a lot closer than I thought.

There's a scene where the doctor shows an audience of him bringing a corpse back to life, and the dancing by the ensemble girl in that scene is absolutely amazing! I can't describe it but it was so fluid and matches the music perfectly, I was so impressed!

There's a titanic pose with Ronald and Grelle was great! Ronald really didn't want to do it but was forced to. And then soon after (or during this scene) Grelle is singing, and Ronald is just clapping behind Grelle so unimpressed - I was dying with laughter.

Most of the songs this time around are very good too! Some of my favourites from the first part is the main Campania song, Druitt's solo and I quite liked Ronald's solo too! Sebastian’s solo song is amazing too! He has a LOT of high notes to his in it. He sings the song about 3 or 4 times throughout the stage, or at least it feels like that.

I really like how this stage is gruesome too and not holding back on the projection mapping blood spurts and lots of red colour and use of red fabric to show that it's just pure blood shed going down on this boat - maybe I enjoyed it a bit too much? xD

Even when I first read the manga, I've always loved Lizzie’s badass moment and it did not disappoint on stage ever - it was great seeing her kick ass. 

I really really do like this Ciel. I felt this way the first time I saw him last year but this time around really solidified it for me! He has a lot of potential and I think he will go very far if he continues to pursue acting. A part of me really hopes his voice doesn’t break and that he doesn’t grow for like another ten years so he can constantly be our Stage Ciel xD

A small thing, which is also in the main story (to my memory), I love how Ciel is in pretty-decent-sized heels throughout this, whereas Lizzie is just in flats xD I found it totally adorable!

For those who were worried about Hidesama - because I personally haven't seen him since he was on crutches for K-Stage - HideSama is walking, kneeling, and such smoothly and fine so I guess he's pretty much okay now. Although I do feel like he was limited in the types and amount of dance moves he got so I guess he's still not 100% and/or he's just be cautious for a decent amount of time, which is a good idea! And of course he was absolutely ridiculous as Druitt! I was most impressed with his voice! I knew he was good at voice acting since I've seen how different his voice is in real life compared to in TouStage compared to in HakuMyu, but he ONCE again changed his voice for THIS stage and I was so surprised and impressed! He's really talented with his voice! No wonder he also gets voice work too! But yes, his character was ridiculous as ever and had my cracking up with the things he did even when he wasn't the center of the stage or story at the time.

Oh and I really, really like the new Snake too! I didn't realise when it was first announced who the hell it was. But about 10 minutes into the stage I realised who the damn actor was and I got super excited straight away! I should never have doubted or been pissed at him! He's such a great actor and he did not disappoint at all as Snake! I ended up super super liking him like straight away! AND it was his birthday today! So HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY!!

The stage and the apparatus’ are flawless as usual. I was fascinated at watching the ensemble pull the apparatus' around and seeing how they had used every inch of the parts to make something relateable and useful for the actors. The staging and parts of the set were amazingly well done - which is expected I know...

Also, the outfits are great!! I think that's just me really like the Victorian Era and clothing but I love the clothing from this series and seeing it in the flesh is always so great to see!

The way Mikata, Uehara and Izumi swung their weapons around with so much control but also with such smooth motions was so amazing!

PART TWO [About 1 hour]

Druitt had two solo songs; one in each part. but his solo in part two had me cracked up! Especially the opening of it which his hip thrust and the echoing of his high voice and the colourful, flashing lights. It was so funny and ridiculous. It was also the only song which had audience participation and it got all of the audience clapping which I enjoyed and was fun. He danced and moved more in this solo compared to his Part One solo which made me even less worried about his leg ^_^

Grelle forced Ronald to do the titanic pose at the end again and he was so reluctant, it was so funny! I also think this is how they END the play which is just the best way to end it >.<

The Undertaker Scythe's is SO badass and looks so good in real life! I was so fangirly inside when I finally saw his Scythe IN THE FLESH! I've been waiting for this Undertaker reveal in the stage series for a while! Also I LOVED how he swapped out a normal blade for his Scythe behind his back, it was so smoothly done!

Going back to how much I love this Ciel; Reo hit some seriously BIG notes towards the end! I was so freaking impressed!!! If he keeps up with all this training and such, his voice is going to be amazing! It's already amazing because I didn't think 12 year olds could hit such high notes but he did, and he blew me away when he did it!

I really, really, really loved the dance ensemble in this one! I was so fascinated and enticed by them and their fluid and robotic movements really matched the whole dead bodies and zombie theme very well! They totally added to the whole thing and made the stage so much more entertaining and fun to watch thanks to their talents! There was one particular female dancer (she got a lot of the main dance parts) which was so damn good, I couldn't take my eyes off her. I need to find out which one it is. But the dancers all have blindfolds on for most of the stage - being dead bodies and all - so it'll be difficult to find out WHO.

Ciel always has the best outfits! I've always wanted to cosplay him. I've always wanted to own his clothing. This stage didn't change my feelings about his outfits at all; only increased them xD

The scene/moment just before Ciel and Seb's back story was so great! The ensemble were holding Reo and Yuta mid air and it was like a slow motion of them trying to grab each other's hands before Ciel gets consumed by the zombies and just as Seb gets stabbed in the back with the scythe. It was an amazing moment! I loved it!

CURTAIN CALL

Three rounds of applause, speeches after the second round, and standing ovation at the third round.

It was Harachan’s birthday so we sang Happy Birthday to him, and he was yelling thank you at the Undertaker who was right next to him (xD) and deep bowing on the floor to the audience in thanks. He was so sweet! He was like 'I've never had so many people wish me happy birthday! I think this will be a great year!'

HideSama spoke at the curtain call and a bunch of the crowd wooooo’d when it was announced he'd be the one speaking. He spoke about how he saw the circus one last year and felt, at the time, that he wanted to return to the world, and said he's glad he’s back after two years. And at the end he put on his Druitt voice and yelled 'TADAIMA/I'm home'.

Yuta also mentioned that apparently it’s their 10th anniversary for KuroMyu this year!

THE NEGATIVES

I try and keep a positive spin on the points somewhat:

While I did love the Elizabeth badassery scene, I couldn't help but notice that it was lacking in TouStage/HakuMyu/KStage-level-like sword fighting choreography. To a normal viewer, they probably wouldn't notice but in my eyes, the choreography was simplier and slower and looked a lot more like acting-fighting (like the ensemble obviously running into her swords to land the hit rather than it feeling like a flawless move from the character) to what my eyes are used to seeing. It doesn't take away from the fact that Elizabeth is really a sword fighting badass and that's the moment in the manga I really started like Elizabeth.

Unfortunately, the only ones I couldn't warm up to is Lizzie’s family. For some reason I just didn't take any liking to Francis or Alexis. I think I least liked their song too - oopsies. Her brother was okay though, and I liked how protective he was of Lizzie because it got really funny, like when Ciel safely brings her to her family and he's like 'take her and make sure she gets off safely' and he's like 'of course I will! I'm her brother! But I won't mind if you don't make it out alive okay? *bye*' it cracked me up!

Final note; I felt the first part was a lot stronger than the second half. Especially because a large chunk of the second half was dedicated to Ciel and Seb's back story and once again we got that contract scene at the start of the back story. Personally, I wish they wouldn't redo this scene every stage. Also I felt the crowd getting restless around me when the backstory starting going for like 20 or so minutes. I think a large majority of us wanted to get back to the main, present story. It wasn't a bad backstory at all; the song Ciel and Seb did during it, with the use of the projection mapping, was really good and creative, and Seb's 'kuso gaki / this little shit/brat' bitching was amusing, but it was a little too long.
