I couldn’t resist wandering over here after this latest Roots chapter, and I was surprised to see we had similar procedures this week— sending the best vibes for your recovery, and I hope the procedure helps!

The gas pain yesterday was so bad that I couldn’t laugh without it being sharp and stabby under my diaphragm, which then led to the cycle of not being able to breathe and starting to cry due to not being able to stop laughing, so I was immediately forced to take pain killers twice yesterday because of that 😂

My three new robotic surgery holes and cat named Jasper are eagerly awaiting more Roots but only when you’ve rested enough and you’re feeling better! 💕

NO LITERALLY when I got your comment on Ao3 I sent it to my friends and was like LOOK HOW WEIRD!!!!! SAME DAY!! SURGERY TWINS!!!!! my sister-in-law (who I'm currently recovering alongside) had her endo excision surgery the monday before last! mine was a cystectomy via laparoscopy with some added endo excision (which obvs ended up being the case—endo diagnosis—even though they weren't sure until they got in there) and some more poking and prodding of course. (rip to my left fallopian tube. rest easy valiant warrior 😔)

but nooo THE GAS PAIN IS NO JOKEEEEE 😭 god thankfully I had a bunch of people give me a fair warning that it was one of the worst parts, but I hate the feeling of being this sore overfull water balloon with air swishing around inside 🤢 its so grosssss suddenly I hate being attached to a body 😩 I got stuck in bed yesterday at one point unable to move because 1) I couldn't sit up and 2) my neck and shoulders hurt too bad to speak so I just had to lie there and cry for ten minutes before I could roll over enough to grab more pills 💀
