JUST.
Kaeru’s/Kiki’s suffering. How the man who looked for her and helped manage her case admitted that he couldn’t be what she needed to fully heal. And promised her that he would find someone who would. That she believed him, and that was enough. She’s not okay now. But she will be in the future. She got to have a brief moment of true, undistilled life when Narihisago found her alive for the FIRST TIME. IT WASNT MUCH. BUT IT WAS ENOUGH. SHE’LL WAIT TO BE OKAY, EVEN IF IT TAKES A LONG TIME. SHE’LL HAVE HOPE THAT HER ANGUISH AND TORMENT AND SUFFERING WILL END EVEN IF IT’S HARD EVEN IF SHE HAS TO GO THROUGH HELL FIRST.

The premium version of human is here to wreck house, mfs.
[Twst x Obey Me!AFAB!reader]
CHP. 4
PREVIOUS CHP.: PROLOGUE 3
Thank you guys for the likes, reblogs and comments.
Also, to the people who became my followers, I'll be forever grateful for that😊
CW: When MC gets mistaken as a guy, they get referred to as he/him, but the problem is that there's too many males around the MC.
So, I've decided to color the pronouns blue when it's MC that's being addressed. Just to avoid confusion.
CLARIFICATION: The headmaster, and MC knows that Yuu is from another world, so MC decided to play along and pretend that they're from the same world as Yuu. (The human world where MC came from is mostly similar to the human world that Yuu describes. i.e. landmarks, cultural, knowledge, current trends, anime and manga are all mostly the same.)
REMEMBER: Read this before the chapter.
Experience changes people.
If you see MC doing something you think you won't do and you decide to complain about it, remember this:
• You act the way you do because of the things that you've gone through in your life.
• MC is the same.
• They experienced a lot of traumatic events and almost lost their lives a fuck-ton of times.
• Because of that, they've changed. They've diverged from being you into the MC that they are now.
• The life you're living now shall be treated as the MC's canonical past.
• Also, because The Obey Me!cast feels bad from all the times you suffered and almost died because of them, they tend to overcompensate you.
• You get dressed in the finest of fabrics, most luxurious jewels, as well as housed and fed with the best things that the three realms have to offer.
• You don't take them for granted, but years of living with that lifestyle had raised your standards to new heights and changed the way that you act towards certain things.
• You're free to make up your own head canons if you don't like mine, also y'all can give me feedback if you want so I can improve my work.
• This story will be set a few years after the canon of the Obey Me games.
• • • • •
Who would've thought that it would be a bad idea to try to trick someone who literally reeks of luxury to live in an old, bout-to-fall-apart dormitory?
Well, certainly not Crowley.
That fact became known when 'The shady looking dorm leader™' and also, the tablet decided to tag along with you, Yuu and Crowley, but then had to help Yuu in holding you back so that you wouldn't beat the ever living crap out of the headmaster the moment he dared to bring y'all in front of this rustic establishment and say "It had charm". (Too many You's)
Oh really? really?? Oh you'll see real charm when I beat you straight into the afterlife you greasy son of a bitc–
*Ehem*
It did not end well.
So instead of that, the headmaster had to temporarily put you and your fellow stranded-in-dis-school-human into the infirmary as your temporary abode and promised to fix the shoddy dorm so that it can safely house people in it. (Grim will appear in the future, dw)
*Que Azul tryna make you stay in Octavinelle and you vehemently declining that offer.*
Also, you're starting to get creeped-out by the floating tablet that keeps following you around and won't stop with taking pictures. there's also the small maniacal giggles coming out of the device.
• • • • • •
So there you two are, two people that've been kidnapped by this school's fuckin carriage are now bonding in the infirmary and distracting each other by venting about problems back home. (You two are too wary to be able to sleep properly.)
Like, yes Yuu, I'm in a polyamorous with more than a dozen problematic individuals.
Yes, it works out. somehow
Damn, three assignments due tomorrow all from the same subject? Have you ever tried cheating off of your classmates?
Oh— wait what?! a classmate from biology was caught fucking with a professor in a classroom!? Seriously??
No, I unfortunately no longer have a grasp on the concept of private space and poverty.
Yes, maintaining a relationship with a lot of people at the same time can be hard.
A lot of them are rich.
Wait, a seatmate of yours really gave two free expensive sketch pads just because you asked?? Where can I find that person??
Yes they all act like my sugar daddies and my man-children in one way or another.
No, don't you dare pimp yourself out, okay? There may be a lot of people in my life but the important thing is that we all love each other.
We support, comfort, protect, and guide each other to the best we can.
No— that didn't happen in a day, I had to bend over backwards and almost die a shit-ton of times before I managed to wiggle myself firmly into the hearts of those fuckers.
...Q- Questions about our sex life will be automatically ignored.
Just.. be nice to others, even if it's seemingly stupid.
Unless they are absolute scum then just maintain distance.
You just gotta eyeball it to figure out when to stop being nice to someone.
Never and I mean NEVER treat anyone badly unless they did something unforgivable to you.
Don't call me kind. It's easier to have a grasp on other people if you're nice.
Pft— You once saw a book called "How to be a sugar baby 101" in the school library?! And you saw your principal reading it?!
Sure-sure, I'll help you with your math homework— wait a second.. Seriously?? We've been kidnapped, I ain't allowing you to do math. Where the hell did you even hide that thick-as-fuck test sheet anyways?? Up your ass?!

You sigh for the third time this hour, looking at Yuu who's making a "Mom.. I threw up in the carpet... I'm sowwy🥺" expression as they stand beside your bed.
"What happened?"
Yuu winced, feeling embarrassed as they hear you talk to them like a disappointed parent, they had failed to appeal to Crowley about becoming a temporary student of this school and now had to be a janitor/errand kid.
"The headmaster said that I'll be the handy-man of the campus while he searches for a way to get us home..."
You feel a vein in your head throb and your eye start to twitch by of the sheer audacity being shown in front of your face.
You are now feeling the immense urge to hex that bird-bitch.
Satan sat straight in his seat, speaking out to the others in the meeting table.
"I can feel irritation and the urge to curse someone again." He said.
It would've been funny if this was another situation.
"That's definitely from MC, isn't it? You mentioned being half-asleep and feeling MC get agitated through your pact mark, right?" Diavolo asked.
"Yes, at least our pacts are still intact..." Satan nodded.
"Great, we can use this to monitor MC even if they're far away." Lucifer stated.
Countless search-parties and interrogations have already been conducted, but they're still clueless on where you can be or who could've taken you.
Even Barbatos couldn't see what had happened.
They're starting to get agitated, MC..

Jade watched as Azul frantically drafts and redrafts a new plan of his.
It seems that something caught the eye of their housewarden in the ceremony today.
"What could be so eye-catching that you're in such a hurry to obtain it, Azul?" Jade couldn't contain his curiosity and asked.
"It's a new student, Jade." Azul started.
"He possesses such a large amount of magical artifacts in his hands, It's unbelievable! They were all high quality too!"
Jade blinks.
"Don't you have enough magical artifacts around?"
Jade is confusion.
"You don't know it because you weren't there." Azul narrowed his eyes at Jade.
"I first thought those jewelry of his were similar to the ones that you can buy with enough money in annual auctions, but then I realized that it's very likely that those jewelry are customized."
"...How so?"
"So I decided to try and take a closer look, but when I actually got closer and almost touched one of them, I felt a strong thrum of magic that I haven't felt before!"
Oh?
Now that got Jade's attention.
Azul has been exposed to a lot of strong, powerful people and magical artifacts over the years that he and his twin were following this dormleader of theirs and yet there was actually an artifact so strong that he can feel strong waves of magic by just almost touching it?
How curious..... If the magic of the artifact was so strong, why didn't Azul sense it up until he literally almost held it in his hands?
Seems like this year won't be boring, after all..

BONUS: Someone has a crush.
"Brother, Your package has arrived— What are you... Are you making fan art of Mr. [L/n]...?"
Idia screams like a dumb girl in a horror movie as he tries to block the screen with his body.
"O-ORTHO?! WH-WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT KNOCKING FIRST??!"
"And... what's with the pose?"
Ortho tilts head innocently, confused on why his brother is drawing a new student in a pose that can often be seen on videos that are called "Thirst traps". he's still confused about why they're called that way.
Idia: "O- ORTHO THIS ISN'T ANYTHING BAD I SWEARAHGJSI—"
*Starts to fuckin steam*
"brOTHER YOU'RE BURNING THE CHAIR!"
"AH CRAP!"

Can we get an inexperienced/new Villain with a Superhero who has much more experience and knowledge. Maybe the Villian is a little shy and doesn't know what to say to the Superhero since it's The Superhero™
“First time?” the hero asked.
The villain looked up, terrified. Their foot had been crushed by the rubble coming from above when the ceiling had collapsed onto them. Honestly, they had panicked, had realised there was a kid still inside the building. They rushed towards them and had somehow managed to save them.
Are you a hero? the kid had asked and the villain had been in too much pain to answer. They had choked out a “go” and pushed them away to safety. For the last thirty minutes they had been contemplating cutting off their own foot.
God, they couldn’t do it. Apparently, they sucked at this, too.
They nearly sobbed.
“Oh, hold on…” The hero pushed up the concrete the villain was trapped under with ease — something that super-strength was really useful for — and let the villain crawl out. Like a deer in headlights, the villain looked around, stared at the hero, at the collapsed building. They tried to run but their foot didn’t work.
And so, they gasped for air and fell over, back into the dirt. Their lungs hurt. That broken foot was clearly not the only thing that held them back from fleeing.
However, the hero walked up to them and crouched down.
“Relax,” they said, stretching their hand out as if to calm down an anxious animal. “I’m not gonna hurt you.”
“Go away—” the villain said, almost begged but the hero only eyed them and tilted their head gently.
“Deep breaths, come on.” Once again, the villain tried to stand up and go but their feet failed and their muscles betrayed them. There was glass on the ground, thousands of shards and they cut their fingers. Red blood covered the pavement in seconds and the pain was, once again, almost too much to handle. They sat down and leaned against a wall that was still standing, trying to grasp the fact that they were gonna lose their foot. The adrenaline wore off.
The villain was sure the hero would kill them or at least arrest them. They’d been a fool anyway, thinking they could shape the world into something better, into something more secure. But bombing senators and politicians didn’t seem to go all too well for them.
“Hey, look at me.” The hero’s voice was soft. Too soft. “It’s okay.”
It was just the two of them. And still, the villain felt overwhelmed. They pressed themselves closer against the wall and kept their eyes on the hero. Someone like this was scary for villains on TV. But right now, they seemed a little too friendly.
This was the hero. The city’s hero.
“Your hands, please.” The villain didn’t have a choice, the hero’s hands were around their own and turned them, until both of them could see the bloody palms.
“That’s quite a mess you’ve made. I’ve been watching your moves for a while now.” They observed the villain’s hands, found a little shard inside their flesh and pulled it out. The villain winced. Suddenly they pulled out bandages — the villain assumed that was normal for heroes — and carefully bandaged the villain’s hands.
“I…”
“Maybe it’s better if you don’t say anything. I’m not allowed to do this, actually. And you could get into more trouble,” the hero said. They seemed to be telling the truth which confused the villain even more. Wasn’t the hero supposed to be the bad guy? Why on earth were they helping them if it was against the rules?
“I don’t understand,” the villain admitted.
“You don’t have to, I just ask of you to hear me out. Your foot is crushed and I doubt your ribcage is doing any better. I can bring you to our facility and the medics will take care of your wounds.” They paused for a moment, thinking about how to word the next part. Obviously, there was a catch. “But you will be questioned for what you have done. You will be punished for it.”
The hero finished with the bandages.
“You may never walk again if you don’t come with me,” the hero said. “I know your motives are something only you can understand completely. But from what I’ve seen, you’re not trying to hurt innocent people. I don’t do this normally but I’m giving you a choice.”
They hadn’t let go of the villain’s hands yet.
“Maybe it’s not too late to switch sides,” the hero said.
“I know what side I’m on,” the villain whispered. “But I’ll accept this. I need help.”
The hero nodded.
And both weren’t aware that they’d change each other’s lives forever.

Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 15 Spoilers
Finale-Inspired Scenario
I know it was very touching and all with Hunter's "if you need us [Omega], we'll be there". I was Touched™. But all I could think of then was this scenario: Omega: mysterious badass pilot in the Rebellion from any outsider POV. Strange mildly Force-sensitive, very young woman with very extensive, if unorthodox military experience. Animals follow her around. May or may not be a pirate. Has devoted mildly Force-sensitive friends who appear to consider her their leader. Has very odd contacts in very odd places. Weirdly naive about a lot of things (dirt continues to fascinate her) but terrifyingly experienced with others (cloning, mind-wiping, sentient experimentation, etc.). Can fix anything. Has a weird grudge against Saw Gerrera (but who doesn't?). Escape artist who overflows with compassion at the MOST INCONVENIENT times but will also absolutely stab a bitch with no compunction and watch him fall to his death riddled with blaster holes. Never speaks of her origins, history, or family. The famous Captain Rex knows her personally. Senator Chuchi hugs her. Captain Hera Syndulla has apparently known her since childhood. Other pilots and members of the Rebellion are fascinated by this mystery. They place bets on her past -- former Jedi Padawan is currently leading the pool, with "amnesiac formerly brainwashed Imperial child soldier or Emperor's Hand" trailing not far behind. And then. Oh no! Mysterious badass pilot Omega is in a bind. Trapped somewhere behind enemy lines. The Rebellion is collectively in despair, dithering about whether they can spare a "suicide mission" to get her. And then. Multiple (three or four, depending on whether Echo retired to Pabu :D) oddly similar geriatric hippies with scars, facial tattoos, and a tamed lurca hound apparate into their council room. One of them has a toothpick. He has no teeth left, but he is somehow still chewing it disdainfully. Another has one eye and appears to be 1. made of durasteel and 2. has a hard time fitting in the council room. The shortest one has a Ponytail with a capital P, seems to be cosplaying as Moses, and refuses to listen to anyone. They have an incomprehensible system of numbered plans that correspond to no military system anyone has ever seen. They spend 70 percent of the twenty minutes they are on base arguing with each other and ignoring absolutely everyone else. Rex gets a pat on the shoulder. A middle-aged pirate is their getaway driver. The hound will not stop chewing Important Wires. No one has any idea what they want. People only start to get a clue when they yeet themselves at the planet Omega is trapped on and disappear as quickly as they came. There are multiple explosions, screaming, and what sounds suspiciously like a fusion generator overloading catastrophically over an open comm before it is abruptly cut off. The Rebellion gives them up for dead even though Rex, Syndulla, and Chuchi seem oddly unconcerned. Cut to three weeks of radio silence later. There is an unauthorized landing. The code is very old, the signature masked, and it blasts through their security measures like it doesn't exist. A very beat-up ship trailing smoke and parts coasts in to the hangar bay over the protests of the landing crews. Geriatric Hippies Numbers 2 and 3 spill out in a flood of more smoke, completely untouched and looking mildly irritated instead of suffocated. 3 has two stumps and no hands now. He does not appear concerned about this. Somehow, he is still gumming the toothpick. The getaway pilot/pirate is yammering on about where she can (steal?? borrow? liberate?? what?) some upper class robotic hands for him. Geriatric Hippie Moses emerges next. The lurca hound beside him is trailing what looks suspiciously like stormtrooper armor from the corner of her jaws. Badass Pilot Omega, none the worse for wear, is thrown over Hippie Moses' shoulders fireman-carry style, complaining loudly and vociferously that she is NOT A KID and does NOT NEED TO BE CARRIED and YOU KNOW HOW YOUR BACK GETS, HUNTER, PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW --
Omega is summarily deposited in front of Rex with several squinty, semi-threatening looks that he cheerfully ignores. They leave -- without bothering to repair their ship, it is absolutely still on fire -- with a lot of meaningful silences, back-slapping, hair fussing, armor-tightening, you-forgot-this and did-you-take-your-kit and do-you-have-the-grenades-I-made-you and are-you-drinking-enough and don't-forget-to-comm-home.
A brave technician who had nothing to do with any of this dares to inquire about the injuries, the second missing hand, and the, uh, wreck they're driving. They are summarily sneered at, called a "reg" in the most scathing tones possible, threatened with dire death should Omega come to any harm, and left standing on the landing pad.
Rex is pinching the bridge of his nose and doing Lamaze breathing. Syndulla is trying not to laugh. Chuchi just looks fond; Omega just looks sheepish.
The entire Rebellion: ....what was that
Omega, sighing deeply: ...my younger brothers
The ghost of Rampart in the background: I HATE CLONES Bonus points if Jedi Knight "Kanan Jarrus" aka Caleb Dume happens to be strolling past the hangar bay just in time to see Geriatric Hippie #3 ("Toothpicked, Toothless, and Handless") and Geriatric Hippie #1 ("Skullface Moses"), screams piercingly, and Force-levitates himself to the base roof. It takes both Hera and Ahsoka to get him down three hours later

You should watch Eureka Seven
So there's this neat little show I watched before I turned 10 when I couldn't understand a goddamn thing, and it caused me to think about the cool aesthetics of giant robots flying around stylishly on boards as naturalistic trails flow behind them.
I rewatched the show recently with my lovely nesting partner, because I wanted to revisit its world, and I was offered so much more than I remembered. Yes, the show is absolutely what I just described in the previous paragraph/run-on sentence(fuck you this isn't a school assignment) but it's also SO MUCH MORE.
I'm not going to beat around the bush, there's a singular gif I can show people that usually convinces them to watch it with the added info that this isn't just a super highlighted moment, it's just what the show looks like:
(side note: if you haven't seen this show in its entirety, do not, I repeat DO NOT search for gifs of it on this site, never have I ever seen such a dense wall of spoilers)
Still with me? I'd hope so after that display! Also, for non-mecha fans, PLEASE I am begging you to still give the show a chance, it's so worth it!
So we need to start off with this show's worldbuilding. The giant robots can wait, because first we have to address the most glaring thing: everyone seems to have access to these boards that seemingly allow them to levitate and travel in midair on these almost fluid-like trails. These are explained as Trappar Waves, and not much is explained about them early on. I'm going to keep my explanation brief, because it's way more satisfying to watch the mystery unravel through the course of the show.
Basically, the planet this takes place on is full of these waves, and that's one of the main things that everything relies on, and why we can see effectively airships that are just perpetually suspended in the air without need to refuel constantly. This is what allows them to stay up. Also the reason why we see characters with their nifty little boards. Oh yeah, the giant robots have those boards too.
That's the main thing I wanna address about the world of this show, because explaining the rest would genuinely spoil so much of the show, and the experience would be extremely reduced by me explaining. Just trust me, it's really good.
Now, the format of the show is actually masterfully done. The first arc involves the immaturity of the main character, and the format of the show reflects it heavily in the very slice of life format as our main character is enchanted with the conditions he's been put into. At this stage of the series, it's not very serious, and its stakes are pretty low.
As it progresses though, it eases you into a far more coherent overarching narrative in a way that feels really natural and well done. You'll never really "notice" the point at which "shit gets real" or anything, you'll just find yourself way more interested in the bigger picture of what's going on, because the show puts a larger focus on it.
There's a romance story in it too, and it's actually really well done, which is something I haven't really seen effectively done in a lot of action anime, but I think in this case it's because they don't really treat it like a "subplot." They do a really good job of tying it into the main story, and they make it feel pretty real as a romance, and by the end, the payoff is the most satisfying one I've seen of really any romance plot that isn't necessarily the actual main focus of a story. I genuinely feel like they could've conveyed the story they did without the romance plot, but something truly impactful would've been lost had they gone that route.
I think it's not unfair to compare this show to Neon Genesis Evangelion, but at the time, it would be doing both stories a serious disservice. Evangelion is a really effective exploration into nihilism and mental illness, but Eureka Seven feels like a direct response in the way it delivers its story. It feels like it did a Better Rebuild™ before the Rebuild movies even came out.(let it not be said that I don't like the Rebuild series, it's legitimately in my top ten.) Early on, they communicate a lot of the same themes, but then Eureka Seven diverges hard with how it explores the intricacies of interpersonal relations and how people will strive to do better and how people can genuinely be better to each other. I feel like the way it delivers that is genuinely way more effective than even the extremely cathartic conclusion to Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0.
Seriously though, if you're not interested in watching this show, I don't know how to convince you. It's truly a fantastic show, and it's honestly taken the spot of "favorite anime" in my book. I am no longer a Gundam fan, but an Eureka Seven fan who also likes Gundam. You're going to love this show, even if you're not into mecha anime.

Ateez’s Ideal First Date
Just some Thoughts™ as always hehe
Hongjoong: If he's asking you out, he likely already knows you decently well. Rather than an awkward dinner of small talk, Hongjoong invites you to an interesting activity like a pottery class or a paint night. Something where you can try something new and create something together, just sharing experiences with less pressure. To him, it's more important that you two can coexist in harmony than how well you dress up for a fancy meal! You know he’ll compliment your style on the unique piece you make 😌
Seonghwa: Get ready for the most heart fluttering devastating romance novel date of your life. This man is taking you to a garden that lets you pick your own flowers and make bouquets at the end of the day with them. Seonghwa’s eyes are like big sparkly brown saucers the whole time, soaking it up with the most joyous wonder you’ve seen, and that infectious happiness will be plenty for you. But then you get to exchange bouquets and you realize he picked almost all flowers in your favorite color, a few extras as accents to it, and you know how much thought went into it too 💐
Yunho: Zoo date! He thinks it’s so cute to check out all the animals and have you guys try to find the one that looks the most like each other. Will pout if you teasingly point out something like a warthog, then totally lean into it and say you’re the one right next to his 🥺 hope you want to go into the petting zoo, because unless you’re petrified of it Yunho will be grabbing your hand and taking you right over there 😁
Yeosang: The classic café date! Yeosang enjoys grabbing a coffee and a little bakery treat himself, but even if it didn’t sound so good to him he likes the idea of going somewhere relaxing, public, generally quiet. Nothing stressful or over-the-top for the first date so you guys can just get to talking and enjoying yourselves without pretext. He asks you what your favorite drink recommendation is, but if he doesn’t want to order it then he’ll just ask to try yours 😜
San: Two words: animal café. What animal will depend on if you have any allergies, if you’re a cat or dog or even raccoon person, but it’s all cute fluffy babies to San so be his guest!!! He can spend hours A. Looking at and petting said cute fluffy babies B. Watching your smile, seeing all the cute interactions you have and feeling his heart gush at how gentle you can be with them. After all, to be with him you have to have a pet parenting streak 😉
Mingi: Mingi isn’t always big on taking huge outings, but he wants your first date to be fun! What’s something that could be fun for both of you? A comic book café! There you two can find your favorite manga, manhwa, and peruse bits and bobs you’ve never seen. You guys play the game of grabbing a random volume and picking a page number, then seeing what’s happening- bonus points if they’re scary or a romance 🫣 this man is not going to let you pay for your coffee or your comics, sorry not sorry 💁🏻♀️
Wooyoung: Wants to try to impress you so bad 👀 this man is not going to take you for dinner, oh no. He is going to MAKE you dinner what a man! Definitely goes for a fancy pasta dish and candles on the table, wine and nicest dishes even if he has to buy new ones. It’s so extra for ‘oh hey you could always come over and I’ll make something’, but that’s Wooyoung for you. The conversation is amazing because he chats the entire time you’re in the kitchen whether you insist on helping him or just watch. Then he pretends it’s a cooking show!
Jongho: He likes to stay active, but isn’t exactly the type to have the gym be his first date! Instead, he opts for asking you to the park. There, you guys have tons of options, like riding bikes, any golf or disc golf courses there, or just taking a leisurely walk. No matter how you start off, Jongho will have the day end that way, taking in some scenery and just talking. Then you guys wend under blossoming trees, trying to catch falling flowers 🌸

I’m gonna be honest, I thought going into Winter 2023 that this was gonna be a bit of a dump season. One of those seasons where anime just kinda sits around farting and we all wait patiently for the actual Good Shit to start coming out again while pretending to catch up on our backlogs.
That... has not been the case.
Bofuri Season 2: Seriously, how does this show get so many incredible action cuts?
Buddy Daddies: Look, it’s probably not gonna be gay, but Spy x Family meets Tiger and Bunny is something we all need in our lives, okay?
Campfire Cooking in Another World: Couldn’t even last a full episode of this one before my eyes glazed over. Dropped.
Endo and Kobayashi Live: Now this is pretty charming! Pity the animation’s such garbage, though.
Giant Beasts of Ars: It’s a damn good season for fantasy anime, y’all.
Handyman Saitou in Another World: Could actually end up a halfway decent isekai SOL if it stops being so goddamn terrible at structure.
High Card: This is exactly my brand of Anime Bullshit(tm) and I am so on board.
Ippon Again: An actually great female-led sports anime? With major A Place Further Than the Universe vibes? Do not sleep on this one, y’all.
Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Damn. Good. Season. For. Fantasy. Anime.
Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible: As far as Takagi-san knock-offs go, this one is pleasant enough.
The Magical Revolution of the Oh Fuck It These LN Titles are Impossible to Remember Just Call it “MagiRevo”: Buckle up, folks, we might just have another Actually Good Isekai on our hands.
Malevolent Spirits Mononogatari: It’s Noragami but shit. Dropped at 1 episode.
Nagatoro-san Season 2: Yeah, turns out I’m still not above the occasional well made trash.
Nier Automata: Genuine question, is this gonna be an acceptable substitute for the game or will I just be spoiling the experience for myself?
Onimai: I fucking hate the Mushoku Tensei studio so much and I hate myself even more for deciding to stick with this one.
Reborn to Master the Blade: This one might be soon for the chopping block, but I’m holding out hope that its story can overcome its middling production values. We’ll have to wait and see.
Revenger: GEN UROBUCHI’S BACK BABY YEEEEEEHAW
Sugar Apple Fairy Tale: Take notes, Every Isekai: this is how you explore slavery in a fantasy setting.
The Tale of Outcasts: Feels like a 13-year-old’sedgy Ancient Magus Bride fanfiction. Honestly, though? I kind of really dig it.
Tomo-Chan is a Girl: LET. TOMBOYS. BE. TOMBOYS. WITHOUT. SHAMING. THEM. FOR. IT. Dropped at episode 2.
Tokyo Revengers Season 2: At this point, I’m just watching out of morbid curiosity of how bad the manga’s ending supposedly was.
Trails of Cold Steel: The Northern War: Easily the weakest fantasy anime of the lot. Giving it one more episode to impress me, otherwise it gets the drop.
Trigun Stampede: Y’all are buggin, the CG here is incredible.
Tsurune Season 2: Good god, the glow-up from season one is nuts. KyoAni just does not miss.
Vinland Saga Season 2: Okay, manga readers, let’s see if watching a bunch of sad men farm is as incredible as you say.

Tom Vargas From EXODUS.
Watched the Q&A for EXODUS™ (from Archetype Entertainment) yesterday, and had to express my budding excitement. =) Tried to sketch Tom Vargas, one of the companions. While I failed to captured his likeness (he kinda looks like my ex?), it was a fun exercise. Ha, we will see if he will be interesting enough for me to want to draw him right.
The animations and cinematics shown so far look really impressive. If the actual gameplay matches that quality, I'll be over the moon. Of course, it's still early days, so I'm trying not to get too ahead of myself. But it's hard not to feel a spark of hope.
This budding excitement for EXODUS is, I'll admit, partly a coping mechanism for my growing disappointment with Dragon Age 4. Oh, DA4… where do I even begin? The art style is proving incredibly difficult to warm up to. The lighting looks diffused and smooth, reminiscent of The Sims 4. Character facial expressions seem barely there, and the strange lack of texture is honestly alarming. They look like plastic dolls, for crying out loud! After experiencing the visual feast that was BG3, how am I supposed to immerse myself in this plasticky world?
I've supported BioWare for years - and I mean YEARS. I was the fan who pre-ordered everything, devoured all the canon novels, and eagerly watched every canonical animation. But this time? DA4 will have to wait until after the first patch before I even consider buying it. The Andromeda experience taught me a harsh lesson about blind faith. At this point, I'm not even expecting DA4 to be good - I'd settle for a mediocre, but at least coherent story.

So with that out of the way, I'll share some screenshots and my experience from the little I played from the Spy x Family game.
Note/reminder that I openly don't recommend buying the game for a computer, as the controls are clunky, and since that version is half-baked it's not worth your money, even if you plan on using a controller. Different case if you buy it for a console, though.
So the graphics are actually pretty cute, and I think they translate the feeling of the 2D characters into a 3D game environment pretty well! The music stands between an inspiration from the original anime soundtrack and typical day-in-the-life simulation game soundtrack, though mostly the latter. I wasn't impressed that much but it wasn't something that annoyed me. It's just a bit of a pity because they could definitely get some inspiration from the original soundtrack, but oh well.
Playing the game, Anya starts at Eden College, and you get a tutorial showing you how to move and interact with other characters and objects. First it instructs you to talk to Becky, then to Damian.
And as I saw that I was like "... Do I have to?" XD Luckily, he wasn't annoying that time, just distant.
Then Anya comes back home to tell her parents about her Diary project, and I had her explore the house a bit.
In the manga and anime there's this small separate space on the hall right by the entrance, and I actually just realized that, but in the game's version of the house that area doesn't exist.
From what I remember, in the game there is just a wall where the opening to this space is. Since this space is rarely used in the manga/anime and it would have taken memory space, I understand why they didn't add it. From the little I played Anya could only move around the main spaces, kitchen, dining/living area and hall, but those parts were pretty accurate.
And according to my post about the Forgers' kitchen, here it looks accurate to the anime, though with a two-door fridge instead.
I mostly took this because I found it funny how atrocious his posture was XD he's probably tired, the poor man.
One of the few minigames I tried was bowling. I like how each characters game traits actually fit their characters XD
Like, Yor is Strong™ but with the least dexterity, Anya is the luckiest but also the weakest, Loid is the most dexterous... and also the unluckiest. I'm telling you, I can find opportunities for angst like it's my job.
Anyway, that minigame was actually nice, it took me a bit to get the hang of the curveballs but I'm sure I could get better at it if I trained more. I played as Loid, too XD
I liked the characters' responses to their throws, either going like "This is hard" or "This is harder than it looks" (even Loid, lmao, with me controlling him he actually became bad at something) if they threw only a few pins. Funny thing is, when Loid was first about to throw his ball, he said something like "Child's play" but then because it was me controlling him he only threw a couple pins and was like "This is hard" 😂 Poor Yor said "Was this good?" a few times right after throwing her ball, then Anya did a strike, and Yor and I as Loid did a spare (when you throw the remaining pins on your second go). For each of those, the other characters cheered for the one doing the strike or spare, and that was cute. Funniest responses was when a throw wouldn't get a single pin, Anya did her "Shock" face, Yor looked embarrassed, and Loid cringed back with a drop of cold sweat on his face (I was the reason for that, sorry man XD) Loid ended up winning and even though he had missed a couple of throws, at the end he was once again like "Child's play" like, my MAN, stop embarrassing yourself and me.
Anyway. Back to the story. There were some cute moments of banter, I feel they captured the characters pretty accurately!
Then I could go into character customization and. Some interesting choices there.
"Just going to work". Yes. That work XD
And then this... item.
MAXIMUM CHARISMA
I'm still laughing about it XD
Then it was ooting time, and I actually really loved the loading screens!
They have a cute feel to them :)
One of the few pictures I took for Anya's album. Whatever is happening on that Spy Wars issue Anya was reading, it must be interesting!
Anya later mentioned she'd sleep with Agent Penguinman that night, and Bond did not like that XD
When I FINALLY managed to hit the required score for Yor's fruit chopping minigame, Anya looked very smug about it 😁
As I mentioned, it took me a lot of times to get the gist of when exactly to swing to cut the vegetables, and every time Yor missed a vegetable she would say something... but there were no subtitles for those lines XD judging by a few lines I've picked up from the anime, I think she was just saying things like "I missed" or an exclamation of disappointment, and one single "I'm sorry, Anya-san". I wanted to hug her!
Then it was back to school the next day.
I'm right there with ya, girl XD
Then Anya asked Yor to train her, and Yor started giving her some advice on how to throw punches... and then Loid slipped in and was like uhm wut O_o
This next part was a little weird, because Anya was supposed to be drawing (like she did in Episode 3 in the museum kids room) and Loid was going like "Oh this is Bondman and a princess, right? That part is a little graphic, though" but... she wasn't drawing? Loid was just standing in the kitchen and I approached him to talk to him and they just said lines similar to the scene I mentioned above from episode 3. It didn't seem like it fit, and only added it so they could have Anya do that expression, which, okay, fair enough XD
This was Anya's expression when she realized Loid had completely misjudged what she was drawing and her powers weren't at risk of being exposed XD
A quick Handler cameo!
That was the intro for a minigame of Twilight sneaking into an art gallery and having to swap paintings for forgeries. I just found her appearance quite cool!
... This, however, was the minigame that proved this game doesn't work well with a keyboard. Controlling the character AND the camera with keyboard buttons is very tricky, and while I could manage moving Anya around, I had a lot of trouble moving Twilight around while I was on a timer and I had to avoid the guards seeing him.
So yeah. It could have been fun but for a computer user it can be frustrating. I tried twice and failed to complete the minigame, and at that point I was tired; it was more stressful than satisfying that way, so I just quit the game, uninstalled it and had it refunded.
Anyway, as I said, it looks like a fun game, but one that can only be appreciated through a console that already includes controllers with joysticks. Computer users shouldn't have to need external controllers to enjoy a game for the computer, so I definitely don't recommend buying it for the PC, if nothing else, for the moral of it. They could have optimized it to move the camera with the mouse, which is how the grand majority of such games work, but they half-assed it and as such I don't think they deserve anyone's money, especially at the price it's at (50 euros for us to need an external controller? no thanks).

Nerdy “Aziraphale and Crowley are super in love” Analysis time! (Filmmaking and acting edition)
(Very late but I promise it’s worth it)
Imo the moment Aziraphale realizes he’s in love with Crowley is Ep 3 when the Apocalypse is looming and Crowley flippantly says, “I want to spend the rest of my life with you”
Aziraphale gives the look
And it all changes
From an acting perspective, Crowley takes a confident and almost defiant stance. Despite walking away, his arms are wide open. He constantly shrouds himself in being aloof and bad, so this exaggerated gesture is the way he shows his true feelings. This is the world I can provide you. Please take it.
From a filmmaking perspective, this is a wide shot, showing Crowley and Aziraphale's physical and emotional distance. Crowley is in focus, pointing out to the right. In Western filmmaking, characters moving left to right indicate progress
This doesn't apply to countries where they write right to left or up and down. Anime flows up and down for this reason, but that's another story
Crowley has his back to the camera because his reaction doesn't matter here. He knows what he wants; his needs are clear to himself and the audience
Aziraphale's reaction here is massive. As a new viewer (still 3 eps to go,) I first interpreted their relationship as an unusual companionship. The montage at the beginning of this episode shows their progress from having a mutual agreement to an alliance to a friendship
But this look
That’s the change
The camera pushes in as Aziraphale realizes what Crowley is implying, and he's overwhelmed to the point of burgeoning tears. It's not quite a Hitchcock/Jaws zoom, but it similarly presses the subject closer and tighter into the camera claustrophobically.
Subconsciously, as the audience, we now feel his feelings pressed into him
Part of Aziraphale's reaction is his high moral standard of being an angel. While here he calls Crowley a demon, he has previously insisted, because he is a fallen angel, there is hope for goodness still.
He sees his future as a possibility in Crowley, which would destroy his known world. His moral code however is much more malleable than he would like to think, but to admit that would be failure of doing his duty as an angel
But just this acting choice, his quivering palpable fear, this reaction is much more than, “I don’t want to kill a child/not be an angel.” If he agrees to go with Crowley, the ‘side’ he’s picking isn’t good or evil, it’s love
As the characters are asexual/nonbinary (I think?,) I don’t think canonically the fact that it’s a homosexual relationship is necessarily the issue. However, the metaphor of choosing to walk away from everything you know and believe and the rigid standards of goodness, and instead choosing to be with someone who will inevitably lead you to be cast out from your world, is (unfortunately) a universal gay experience, especially considering the source material is from the late 1980’s
Crowley’s reaction to this rejection is straight up anger played off as a totally reasonable, “C’mon man, we’re best buds,” but his eyes are covered by glasses. Eyes are the windows of the soul and he certainly doesn’t want to break right now in the face of rejection. His eyes are blocked in a very emotional tight shot of him which mirrors Aziraphale's.
Now his reaction matters and we don't really get to see it
I don't know where this goes from here (well uhhhhh I did see The Spoilers ™ but I ain't gonna talk about that lol,) but this just feels like a massive turning point, and the acting and filmmaking really enhance it. From an outsider's perspective, I didn't 'get' this ship at all, but now in context, it completely makes sense. This scene is utterly devastating
This has probably been talked about to death for 4+ years now lol, but just wanted to point out some acting/filmmaking choices that really brought the oh shit moment to light <3

THF Season 1 Dumb Predictions
Ok, we have a lot of time to kill until the rest of the season is ready to go, so this seems like the perfect opportunity for some speculation! Here are my dumb predictions for each episode of season 1:
EP2 TRAIN FIEND
Our heroes arrive in a small town from which they can take a train to London. Maddie is forced into an action-packed chase through the train trying to stop Jonathan from throwing the head ahead of the train to see if getting run over is enough to destroy it. This is Jonathan’s Plan B. (Plan A included the train’s sadly non-existent firebox)
EP3 CONVALESCENCE
All the days of rough camping in the countryside, crappy food, and stress finally catch up to them and Maddie comes down with a cold. (Jeremy’s rage burns any virus or bacteria that dares enter his body, do you think he has time to be sick? He has work to get done, for fuck’s sake)
Jeremy: I guess I have no choice but to take care of you.
Maddie: It's rotten work.
Jeremy: Of course it is! You think I'm having a grand time playing nurse to you, when we should be on our way to the foundation and figuring out how to get rid of the ghosts of Mina and Jonathan fucking Harker? You think I want to spend any more time than strictly necessary with that creepy talking skull? You think I enjoy waking up after not realizing I'd lost consciousness and finding my hand on your hair?
EP4 FREEZER FOOD
Oh no, the head is gaining power. To appease it our protagonist have to jump through a ridiculous number of bureaucratic hoops (some they avoid with a little help from Jonathan's old pal, Judge Moneybag, some require some shady IOUs) until they manage to acquire one (1) blood bag. They hang it from a stick and dangle it in front of the head.
EP5 WILDLIFE
Everyone’s come together as a team and are hard at work to find a way to destroy Dracula, who decides to be a little more proactive. He already knows from experience that the zoos’ wolves are useless, so instead he calls to himself as many street dogs as his powers can reach. This slows the investigation down considerably because getting in and out of the building is incredibly difficult due to the astounding number of dogs gathered at the entrance begging for treats and pats on the head. Several animal welfare teams have to get involved. The foundation is accused of being a cover-up for a werewolf conspiracy.
EP6 DATA BASE
The Foundation’s team manages to remove Mina’s ghost from Maddie! Unfortunately, someone unintentionally disrupts the procedure and Mina ends up possessing a computer instead. Jonathan is very worried, but Mina is having the time of her life. With her new unlimited and super fast access to all of the Foundation’s data she works out What They Need To Do™.
EP7 TO THE LIGHTHOUSE
The season ends in Whitby, in a nightmarish remix of a beach episode. The computer Mina possessed was a desktop one, so she’s only there in spirit, Jonathan has no choice but to tag along (he wasn't allowed to pack the computer in a suitcase). There's a rehash of the run to the cemetery (by Jeremy, to save Tom), and a (literal) cliffhanger.
Reblog with your Season 1 (serious or silly) predictions!!!! I want to know what everyone else is thinking or hoping for 👀👀

Damn, just realized I forgot Jimmy in my headcannon list.
Which is embarrasing, since he´s one of my faves.
He is a csi-fi movies nerd, specially of Pixel and Back in the Future.
He has defeated Tertis once, and to this day that´s the achievement he´s most proud of.
He is a Harry Potter fan thanks to the influence of his weird, on the run and probably a mafia memeber uncle, who has enough debts to sink Mark Zucchenberg in poverty. He has a boat tho:)
Jimmy comes from a HUGE family full of Gingers™, and at some point the Wild Kratts theorized he could be a Weasley, but it was descarted because JZ is VERY rich.
His wardrobe is full of the Adam Sandler´ aesthetic. That, and a sinlge Gala Suit that no one is sure how it got there.
When looking where to apply for a job after graduating, at first he had thought on joining the air force ,since he didn´t want to go to a local airport to get experience; but then Chris (a dude he met playing minecraft online and later on became friends) offered him to work as a pilot in his older brother´s proyect for an academy.
He couldn´t belive it when he met Koki again, and they pretty much tackled eachother into a hug.
He has a power suit, but Jimmy never uses it (plus, it has malfunctioned so many times that Aviva is impressed its still working)
bro is great at social events, but he has to be dragged in to participate.
Jimmy thinks very little of Gourmand to a professional perspective, if not as a decent human being, and finds his recipes disastrous, and not only because they are made with endangered species.
Back when his grandma wasn´t in the nursing home, she had a five star restaurant that she later on lost to a bet, in which she would teach enterprising chefs her recipes and different cooking skills, including a teen Jimmy, who wanted to be just like her if his dream of becoming a pilot didn´t work out. Between those enterprising chefs was Gourmand, the so called "prodigy", who even got to become the main cheff when Grandma Jimmelda retired. He also won the restaurant when betting with the old woman (he probably cheated, but there´s no evidence)
Jimmy went there regulary and even worked there because his parents wanted him to be hardworking (didn´t exaclty work, but ok)...
Until he found out about the cooked endangered animals and reported Gourmand, making him loose the restaurant and his cooking liscense. Yeah. They don´t get along.
He has a shark stuffed plushie that Martin gave him on christmas. (Jimmy gave him a new pair of socks. He needed those.)
He likes to make pastries a lot, specially if it´s one of his gandma´s recipes.
Grandma Jimmelda has some very deep lore stories from her youth, including marrying at 14 and going to war twice (don´t ask which one though, not even she knows).
Jimmy has had thought of letting his hair grow long, and I personaly belive he would have it very long to try to make the Rapunzel fight moves(he can´t).
Still, he has to go and have a haircut every time he visits his parents and Zach.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that: Grandma Jimmelda has a niece, Aunt Jaminet, who is the cousin of the mother of Zach´s grandma. Somehow (I don´t want to know how), they´re almost the same age.
The family meetings are just something else, specially when there´s a whole bunch of gingers on the table and a singe black haired guy that only comes once every two christmas because he lives across the state and no one likes (Jimmy also rarely shows up, but he´s the cool cousin/uncle, so he´s been forgiven by the little ones, unlike Zach)
Tbh, nor Zach or Jimmy know they are related. I mean, they are distant second cousins(?), but they are still family. Somehow.
He has played World War Z and finished it in three days.
He has also bested with full stars Cooking Mama, ofc at the extent of his emotional stability, but pshh Who needs it?
Martin´s - Chris´- Aviva´s - Koki´s

This is potentially a very loaded question so feel free to not answer if you don't feel like it, but how do you as a woman feel about the handling of female characters in Digimon (anime of course, but also games, manga and even the Digimon themselves)? I've seen takes of all kinds from women over the years so I'm curious how you feel. But again, no pressure to answer if you feel uncomfortable with the subject or too daunted by all the material on the table.
Oh man, I don't mind talking about the subject in itself, but what makes it hard for me is just that the Digimon franchise just has so many things at once with so many different writers and different writing philosophies that I can't really treat the entire thing like a monolith. Especially when you have things running the spectrum from Cyber Sleuth (where female characters arguably drive the narrative far more than the male characters) to Next (which has gotten me angrily ranting about the absolutely awful way it treats its girls, a rant which I would prefer to not subject my followers to).
So before I go ahead, I do want to make sure anyone reading this understands that I'm just talking about my own personal experience and feelings regarding the situation, and I'm very sure that other people will feel differently. I definitely don't feel qualified to comment on what's the ideal way to write female charaters in media or whatever (as if there's even one right answer to that!); I can only truly comment on myself and my own stances on it. (And of course, the OP graciously asked specifically about that, but I just want to make sure nobody reading this post misunderstands!)
Well, I will say that if there's one thing that does seem to be consistent (and I say consistent, because Next absolutely violates this one and Frontier does kind of dangerously toe the line), it's that I haven't really seen Digimon fall victim to the problem of what I call making its female characters the Designated Girl Characters™. Explaining what that is is kind of tricky, but a lot of shounen series will have this very strong "consciousness" of its female characters like they're there to fill a quota, and thus treat them in a way that's kind of alienating. Or in other words, "they section off this character very weirdly in a way they would never do for the male characters." (Note that while Ruki's character arc is made with strong consciousness of her being a girl, the whole point is about condemning the idea she should be treated like some novelty just because she's a girl, so I don't count it as this.)
It was really refreshing to see a 1999 anime portray the girls as mingling with the boys like it was no big deal, and I do wonder if Adventure setting this precedent is a big reason later series have followed in this regard. Adventure through Frontier were made with heavy female creator influence, something that the fandom really tends to downplay (especially because a lot of people suspiciously avoid acknowledging their importance, like how everyone will talk about Hosoda but nobody will talk about the fact Yoshida Reiko wrote the scripts for everything he did, or how people virtually ignored Seki's existence compared to Kakudou until very recently). I think a lot of that shows in its writing; of course, that's not to say there aren't things that really could have used improvement (I think Izumi's treatment in Frontier is the one pretty much everyone universally agrees really left much to be desired, and Tomita even outright admitted he's not very good at writing girls, although that frankly kind of surprises me given how much of his other work has involved writing girls really well), but at the very least it does show a bit more conscientiousness about its female characters than you would see in other shows where female creators were either nonexistent or clearly had no influence in the staff room.
On the flip side, there's also things that were more tasteful in execution than may have even been intended; Sora's character arc isn't that much about her femininity in practice, and Juri does come off as better than your average damsel in distress character, but that doesn't change the fact that the nuance is still there (and that in the latter case a certain writer has outright indulged in that), so all I can do is just be grateful that it didn't get worse.
I guess in the end, my stance is "give or take". I like a lot of other kids' shows (including shounen) that have been better or worse than Digimon's average level, and Digimon itself is so varied that I think it just kind of mingles in there. There are things I like, things I don't like, but at the very least there haven't been too many things that crossed my personal boundary of "absolutely not" (there are, there just aren't many). I think Adventure and 02 in particular are often accused of being more malicious towards its female characters and "screwing them over" than they were intended to be, since a lot of it seems to be a combination of wanting to portray its characters a little too realistically and simply just accidental bad circumstances of how it presented (the fact Hikari's two most famous episodes are by two non-regulars on the series who seemed to be huge fans of portraying her with a brother complex really did not help here), and things like "the same things that feel personally relatable to me are also things that read badly to others, so I understand why people don't like it but I also feel kind of weird when they imply that this kind of concept is inherently Bad" (a lot of things related to Sora and Miyako fall into this category for me). And I mean, part of the reason Miyako became my central character back when I wrote fanfic more often was that I just found her to be an incredibly complex character for the kind you'd usually see in shounen works; I honestly don't know of many other things that would portray someone like her sympathetically instead of cramming her into a "hysterical woman" trope box.
There's also the fact that there's a lot more adult-oriented Digimon media coming up nowadays, so there's that awkward situation where "female character representation" starts having a blurred boundary with "waifu character". Which is not to say that I mind the idea of male fans also liking the female characters I like, but more so that when you get into this territory, I start getting conscious about whether the female characters are more obviously being written in a way to "please the male fans and make them into fanservice material" than it respects them as characters. And I mean, I say it's a blurred boundary for good reason; the aforementioned Cyber Sleuth characters do kind of have that (especially in their character designs), but they are actually written as good characters with agency, whereas you have things like the Adventure girls in tri. who are ostensibly written to follow up on their Adventure character arcs but came off to me as being uncomfortably shoved into the Waifu Character Fanservice troping boxes, especially Mimi and Hikari. (Hooters outfit Mimi and brother complex Hikari are among the few things that I would say have crossed a serious line with me.) So again...give or take.
I will say that the American English dub had a somewhat more misogynistic nuance in the way it treated Mimi, Miyako, and Hikari (it had a lot more condescending tone in the way it portrayed Mimi's airheadedness/materialism and Yolei's penchant for fangirling while also expecting Kari to just put up with Davis harassing her, and it exacerbated the already-kind-of-uncomfortable feelings I had about the unsympathetic way Sora is portrayed in Our War Game!), but it's not to the extent I felt it derailed the entire narrative.
As for the Digimon themselves, the feminine Digimon design sexualization didn't bother me much when I was younger (I remember I really wasn't bothered by Angewomon's design at all), but it does bother me a little more now, especially since you have more designs like Venusmon these days (really? really?). But then there are also really good designs like LovelyAngemon and Mastemon that are just plain cool! And then even designs aside, there's a difference in the way each work portrays them; for instance, you can tell certain anime had more fun with the chest jiggles on the same Digimon that other series were not weird about at all. Maybe the fact Adventure and 02 weren't really weird about Angewomon's design was exactly why I didn't notice it very much back then?
Well, that got long and very rambling, but I hope that answered your question to some extent!

okay I’m currently going through my Spotify wrapped through the years and it’s a mess
2016: we don’t talk about it… lots of music my mom listened to and she basically shaped my taste in music back then. The songs are pretty alright… but then there’s some songs I don’t wanna talk about because it’s embarrassing (generic pop and other stuff you listen to at 13), bit of twenty one pilots tho… I found them in this year
2017: experimenting with music myself… we have twenty one pilots, against the current (a LOT), Dat Adam (also a lot), some kpop, generic pop and still some mom influences from the year before
2018: a BIG mess… from the descendants soundtrack over my chemical romance/twenty one pilots/fall out boy over the same kpop from the year before over some 80s bangers over piano music to dubfx/monolink (electronic/dance/reggae) with some more 2016/17 mom influences and don’t forget the basic pop
2019: uhm can you tell trench released end of the year before? Definitely… the whole album and more twenty one pilots is featured predominantly in this year… loads of 80s, billie eilish, some fall out boy/p!atd… and some pop (that is getting better tho) and the same electronic/… mix
2020: twenty one pilots obviously, cavetown, ajr, (children’s) film music and random songs I thought were cool… dinosaurs in love (a highlight), Lorde, still the electronic/… mix, oh and girl in red
2021: all the gay™ songs, one direction/Louis Tomlinson/Harry Styles (yep, I had my 1D phase… like 10 years too late), Grace Vanderwaal was a big one, Ruelle (yes, I also had my shadowhunters/Malec phase)… still twenty one pilots, but not as much
2022: glass animals (yes, dnf phase)… still the gay™ songs, lots of songs I heard in series/movies, twenty one pilots, 80s stuff (I listened to music for 105.706 minutes that year… that’s 1761,76 h… or 73,41 days… or 10,49 weeks… or 2,62 months)
honestly I’m glad my taste in music is getting better… I can’t even look at the 2016 playlist without wanting to slap my younger self into some senses (I mean the good foundation of knowing who twenty one pilots were were there, I just didn’t really use it)… 2018 for sure was my self discovery phase and I think 2019/2020 was when I finally discovered my taste in music (it’s still all over the place but at least it’s music I actually enjoy)
Honestly I might even know what my 2023 wrapped kinda looks like… but I guess I’ll only see in like November…
