What was the scene where you fell in love with Adar? If you remember. For me I was really intrigued and attracted to Adar the first season, but honestly season 2 episode 1 when we first see him again is when I immediately fell in love lol. So curious about yours. Because hey, this blog was born!
hm, I gotta say, the second I saw Adar blurrily enter the frame, I was very much 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
The power of the uruk daddy was THAT STRONG.
Also, I just remember literally gasping when Adar asked Arondir where he was born and he answered "Beleriand" and that whole exhange began and basically not breathing until it was over.
Once he connected himself to Beleriand and the First Age, I was DONE. Completely smoked. He became my Blorbo.
And then of course the NAIL in my actual coffin and the thing that I think unhinged my brain completely was the barn scene.
OHHHHHHHHHH THE BARN SCENE.
The way Joseph Mawle played this scene... I don't think I will EVER be able to articulate exactly what it did to my insides. He started speaking and suddenly I was like: "not only is this elf old. He is THE OLDEST."
I don't think I've ever seen a better manifestation of "ancient" than what Joseph Mawle did here. Every BREATH he took in this scene was laden with the weight of THOUSANDS OF YEARS. I desperately want to ask him as an actor what his process was and how he got into character and pulled this off because I found it the MOST compelling.
As soon as I watched this scene, the plot for "Awake, Arise" came to me. His whole history, from the awakening at Cuivienen to the events of TROP, was just RIGHT THERE. It was insane. It altered my brain chemistry. Permanently.
And then I had to spread the insanity, so this blog was born right after Episode 6, because I realized right then that this was going to become the Biggest Obsession.
FRIENDS, I'M SO CURIOUS. WHAT WAS YOUR BADDYDADDY POINT OF ENTRY STORY?????? TELL MEEEEEEEEEE!

There are so, so many things I could shriek about when it comes to the part of The Creeping Shadow I've reached in my latest reread - gosh, I've underlined almost everything, and the margins are becoming illegible with all my scribblings - but most of them are things other people have already unpacked, and more eloquently than my emotional screeching. Heck, I just posted about some of my favorite details in this chapter. But what really gets me, the bit that makes me (most) insane in this chapter, is the way it answers the central conflict of The Hollow Boy with Lockwood's line to Lucy as they cross to the Other Side: "Follow me, and don't let go."
And yes, I have been waiting for this part in my reread to change my blog title again, but I've had it planned for ages, at least since I wrote To the Heights. So some of you have already seen me lose my mind about this in more narrative form, tied into the heights & falling motif that shows up here too, when Lucy says that this is the hardest leap she's ever had to make with and for Lockwood. But it's worth unpacking more directly here, the way this is in some ways the central Locklyle message. Because that's exactly what he was asking of her throughout The Hollow Boy - Follow me - only he hadn't shown her he deserved it, not really. So much of the conflict between them in THB is Lockwood either abdicating responsibility as leader in his efforts to distance himself from Lucy, or expecting her to automatically follow his lead without really demonstrating that he's got her back. And then he begged her, without ever risking the vulnerability to actually ask until it was too late, Don't let go. But she did, because really, he did first, and she left his company (in both senses of the word).
(Now, this gets us into some of my favorite territory, going fully unhinged tying this to Christian marriage, but that's another post for another time, maybe.)
But now! Now, he's put in the work to show her his consideration for her needs and wishes, contribution and perspective. When he asks her to follow him, even somewhere insanely dangerous, Lucy now has the faith in him to do so. She's able to fall without fearing that he won't be there to catch her. He asks her not to let go, and she has no intention of doing so. She's holding on tight, and in fact moving closer - ready to work things out between them so she can come home.

Get to Know Your Moots Writeblr Interview
(Tagged by @scribe-of-stories :> the fact that "the scribes" is a thing sparks so much joy you don't even get it /pos)
On the Tumblr Writing Community
How long have you had your writing Tumblr/Writeblr?
Like approximately a year and 2 weeks. Ish
What led you to create it?
It started off as literally my main blog but I post so much about my characters that I just. It's basically just a writing blog now because I'm too insane about my own series
What’s your favorite thing about the Writeblr community?
PEOPLE RAAHHHHHHHHH
Also the fact that people here are normal about villains and like.. media that isn't scrubbed of any substance. Cancel culture and Hays code my detested <3
What’s one thing you’d like your mutuals to know about you?
Please talk to me about my characters please please please please ask me stuff I swear asks light up my mind and I don't bite no question is a dumb one
Also if you like couteau I'm eating you alive /affectionate /positive
If you're new here you'll see my obsession with cou knows no bounds. Being told to go write about him motivates me to no end. I will get you guys a book I just wanna write about him HORFUSHUFAHSHD
Is there anything you’d like to see more of on your dash?
OCS. GIVE ME YOUR OCS. I KNOW THIS IS WRITEBLR BUT I WANNA SEE THEM. IF YOU DONT HAVE ART OF THEM I'LL MAKE YOU ART OF THEM DAMNIT.
What tips/advice do you have for someone who made a Writeblr today?
Babe i don't know what I'm doing let alone advice for other people. Um I guess be insane about your projects. Don't be afraid to not take yourself seriously, and enjoy working on your WIPs. People talk about how oh writing is supposed to be self reflective writing is supposed to be about learning about others- my writing is a joke to me and everyone around. If it ends up being something else later on that's great but right now no its whatever i think would be funny rn.
WIP it Good
Which Works-in-Progress (WIPs) or writing projects are you noodling about, lately?
Blood is sweeter than silence my beloved....
How long have you been working on them?
6 years actually writing (2 drafts of mine were deleted by negligent roommates so I've had to completely restart) but about 10 since I started thinking about it
Do you remember what inspired them/what got you started?
Literally a million things. But also it mostly just kinda came from my own brain. Everything I've ever experienced has shaped it.
How much time, in your best estimation, do you spend thinking about them?
It never leaves my mind. Literally ever. Ask my wife it's literally all I talk about
When someone asks the dreaded, “What do you write about,” question, what do you usually say?
"Oh I'm really dabbling in slasher-comedy recently" /voice of a man who is so proud of the genre 'slasher-comedy'
What do you want to say (if it’s different from what you do say)?
Honestly slasher comedy is pretty accurate. It leaves out the rampant implications of demon horniness but that isn't technically relevant to the plot
Let’s Rotate Blorbos
Name any characters you created.
Amara (Ami), Seamus (Gambit), Couteau, Sally, Rix, Ally, Lainey, Varasha- the list goes on
Who’s the most unhinged?
Rix when it comes to like being actually impaired in the brain but Couteau when we're talking just. Nuts. Like when a character just is that way because they can be.
Who comes the most naturally for you to write?
None of them ever /lh, it is ALWAYS a struggle
Do you ever cringe at them?
No I find them hilarious if I'm being honest. They do some cringefail shit and I just laugh
How much control do you feel you have over your characters?
They are writing this shit. I am just witnessing and occasionally figuring stuff out from subtext.
Do you enjoy people asking questions about your characters?
GOD YES. LITERALLY ANYTHING. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Literally even just like poking me on what WIPs I've got going on will spur me into it I love knowing there are people who want to see the scene im working on when it's done. Or sometimes I write fanfiction that's kinda canon adjacent? And if you also wanted to see that I'd kiss you on the mouth /pos
But God yes I love talking about them. I will explain stuff over and over again to every new person ever I love you questions about my characters
On Writeblr Engagement
What makes you want to follow another Writeblr account?
There is no criteria. If you post and I like the thing you posted, you get followed
What makes you decide against following?
... show me your stuff or I can't see it and know how cool it is and follow you. If you show me nothing then nothing you will receive
Do you interact with non-mutuals often?
Yes! But also no because I barely manage to interact on here at all sometimes /lh
Do your mutuals’ characters occupy space in your noodle?
Yeah I rotate Ela and Kei around in my head pretty regularly
And every Michael ever made by @sandranetta13
I interact with ink and myth on a daily basis tho /lh
Anyways open tag other than for you two fuckers I'm making it mandatory @daughter-of-inklings @mythie-and-mages
#castalk#bists#couteau my beloved go back into your box#blood is sweeter than silence#writeblr#tag game

SHIPPER TAG GAME
@lurkingshan tagged me, thank you darling! So now I'm forced to admit that whispers I'm honestly not much of a shipper
I get into shows and films, but rarely so much that I get invested in couples (canon or otherwise). Even rarer, so much that I start taking ship war sides. Notable exception: Harmony (Harry/Hermione) because that ship came with the stupidest shit I've ever seen in any fandom.
1. What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care anymore?
What do you mean, don't care anymore. I absolutely do care about every ship I've ever shipped.
No wait - as a very young teenager I was so into Alice Hoffman's books it's not even funny. Especially Property Of. I wasn't terribly into the nameless main character, but I adored The Dolphin and thought McKay would be much better off with him. Then I grew up and realised that Property Of is pretty badly written and has a frightfully naïve plot (no wonder, she was practically a baby when she wrote it), although it really hit the spot for a 13 year old with a rabid case of bad boy syndrome, and completely stopped caring about any of the characters.
2. Which ship would you consider your first one?
The first I went insane about was Harry/Draco, so probably that.
3. Your first fanfic belonged to which couple?
Harry/Draco. I wasn't going to write fic at all! Wasn't interested in writing them myself! But I got so fed up with all the horrible purple prose in a lot of fics, wrote a pisstake, and it escalated.
4. Do you remember the first couple you saw a fanart over?
No. That was so many years ago. SO MANY.
5. Did you ever get into ship discourse?
No. When I get into discourse it's about other things than ships. When I try to start discourse it's definitely about other things.
6. Did you used to have any no-otp or have it currently?
Some pairings squick me, but I tend to forget the horrors as quickly as I discover them.
7. Who were the couple in the last fanfic you read?
Jaeyoung/Sangwoo (Semantic Error).
8. Currently, do you have any OTPs?
VEGAS/PETE. I also adore a number of other BL couples, but that's the OTP. Show versions, not book originals.
9. Is there any couple that, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together?
Spooks WASTED A BRIILLIANT OPPORTUNITY for a ship that could have been either canon or not-canon by KILLING A GUY ten minutes after he meets THE POTENTIAL LOVE OF HIS CANON OR NOT-CANON LIFE. They barely had time to share some chips. YES I AM EXTREMELY MAD, 16 YEARS LATER.
10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?
To me, any ship that's well written and where both characters are well formed and not limp 2D shit can be kind of interesting. I can't remember any of my squick pairings starting to intrigue me. Does it count that I used to dislike any KinnPorsche pairing featuring Ken, but I'm starting to quite like them?
11. Do you have any ship that, in the past, was considered normal but now you would be cancelled over?
Oh, I'm sure I do. I like age gaps. People are often very weird about them.
12. What was your favorite crack ship?
Giant Squid/anyone. Such a great setup for crack tentacle porn.
13. Who is the couple you read more fanfics of?
I've read a fuckton of Harry/Draco, but because of betaing and rec blog running it might be Even/Isak? Give it enough time and it will be Vegas/Pete.
14. What most of your ships usually have in common?
At least one, preferably both, of the parties is a criminal. Okay, that also has to do with what sorts of films and shows get made and appeal to me, but I love a good criminal so much and I just can't get interested in some goody two-shoes. I can honestly only think of Even/Isak when I try to list my ships that don't feature a delicious criminal. Preferably unhinged murderers, but I'll take minor misdemeanours too.
15. What do you absolutely hate in a ship?
Big fat traditional seme/uke or het dynamics where the seme/man blatantly doesn't give a canon shit about the uke/woman. I could write a thesis on this, I suppose.
As usual I don't dare to actually tag people, but if you've made it this far, you are so tagged.

i’m so obsessed with your meta omg i feel like so many of the takes on the nandermo tag are built around the idea that Guillermo is not capable of being mean/evil or acting selfishly or when he does it’s yay girlboss and it just reads as a bunch of people infantilizing this grown ass man. and they end up completely demonizing Nandor by proxy. sometimes they can admit Guillermo has little value for human life but don’t acknowledge his ability of being a manipulative asshat to the other main characters?? i know he’s been a victim of them many times but limiting him to just that is so boring. and considering i see similar things in other fandoms where there are ships in which one is minority and the other isn’t (which isn’t precisely the case with nandermo but still) i’m guessing Guillermo being fat and latino has something to do with it. is like people are scared of pointing out his flaws as a person and being accused of racism/fatphobia. or maybe they put him in this “can do no wrong” pedestal to avoid properly engaging with him idk. that’s not the point though. the point is i love your takes on Guillermo and i love how he can be so fucking cool while being an utter piece of shit. he really became my #1 blorbo after discovering your blog
idk about those theories, but I will say that both Nandor and Guillermo absolutely should be demonized! and loved thoroughly despite that!
Honestly, I've been stupid into Guillermo since the show started, and I do remember what some of the rumblings were like before nandermo was a popular ship. Even back then, people had a way of softening Guillermo's faults. And I mean -- genuinely, I think it's just Harvey? He's so cute and endearing that you just straight-up forget what a monstrous little shit Guillermo can be.
I get it! I do! Those doe eyes are a lot to look past! But my favorite thing about Guillermo is how feral and awful he can be with the sweetest of smiles on his face. He absolutely is cute and sweet and adorable! And probably also the most selfish and dangerous person in the entire cast. He wants to be the straight man (so to speak) of the cast so badly, but he's just as unhinged if not more than the vampires are.
The thing is... like, he's a terrible person, but they all are! I'm a little leery of arguments that he's uniquely awful or that he's uniquely good. Guillermo is a lot of things all rolled up into one and I love that for him. I don't see any point in flattening his character into just good or just bad when it's all of his complicated curves and angles that make me love him so dearly.
Sometimes he'll give up everything he ever wanted to make one of the vampires happy. Sometimes he'll emotionally manipulate them into giving him what he wants. Sometimes he has low self-esteem and has a hard time seeing the good in his mortal self, and sometimes he has a hilarious ego on him. Sometimes he'll be sweet and thoughtful and kind, and other times he'll be so casually cruel that it's kind of stunning. He'll save a fellow familiar's life, then make fun of a human after luring them in with promises of friendship only to feed them to his real friends.
He's a mess of self-centered, self-deprecating, self-aggrandizing, self-effacing, selfless, selfish insanity and I love that for him!! It's not that he doesn't have an internal logic to his actions; he very much does. He's just also good at self-justification, perhaps more than any of the rest of them, so he can make all of these qualities rest uneasily against each other.
Man, I love Guillermo. He's such a messy little shit and such an utter sweetheart. I want to write a million words about him.
#honestly I'd argue that it's the combination of his basic nurturing instinct combined with his insane control issues#that have made him such a good familiar and bodyguard#like I don't think it's entirely selfless the way he takes care of Nandor and the others#I think he's definitely getting a lot out of it#but I guess that's another meta as well#I'm still in NOLA so I haven't caught up on all my messages yet#wwdits tag#nandermo tag#replies

Holy shit that anon just had the most insane take I've ever seen. Unhinged.
The way you feel about yourself is entirely valid, if unfair to yourself. No-one feels good about themselves 24 hours a day, and no-one is entitled to any part of you or your life regardless of how you're feeling. This is your blog, and you can post whenever the fuck you want. That's the bottom line.
I do hope you're ok though, wild Tumblr asks or not.
Thanks, hon. Sorry I don’t have much to say, but I do appreciate it all the same.

Last post about this i prmoise just realized that anon accomplished something very big
I have been on Tumblr for 11 and a half years. I've existed in almost every corner of the site that wasn't blatantly hateful. I've attracted the attention of cringe blogs. Tumblrinaction. Kiwifarms. Idiots that see my posts and are upset bc i said "be nice" or "ace people are cool" or "i kind of want to kiss this anthropromorphic potoroo from a 90s platformer"
I have been a shitty person in the past, done stupid shit, and rightfully gotten some pretty wild hate for it.
I had a whole INSANE night long argument not long ago with a person that was a profic okay with cosplay incest in public in front of children, but also an exclusionist not okay with ace people celebrating pride.
And THAT
Is the MOST UNHINGED ASK I HAVE EVER RECIEVED

Random post from a tag algorithm blessed be, this post randomly appeared on my dash today
Hi, I'm one of the Magoverse people! I've come to sate your intrigue, and give you an inside scoop! A bit of history to answer your questions!
It initially started as a joke, and in fact here's the post that started it all:
Check out the reblogs for all the crazy additions made from amazing artists and creative folk all over to help one beloved, socially awkward Magolor babysit a baby Meta Knight. It got unhinged SO FAST. It was great!
The-Spam-Specialist is the one you can thank for coining the term "Magoverse"! We all adopted it pretty much immediately because it was hilarious and catchy. Spam's responsible for sparking this entire thing, in fact, and bringing us together!
All-in-all, Magoverse is satirical and purely for fun! We've all taken an oath to not allow it to become.... Sans-verse. Here's proof of our oath, and check reblogs for everyone:
We established this very early on after the first post blew up in the fandom! I kid you not, it has stayed this way. We're keeping our promise, nearly a year in strong. If you see anyone go against this, know that they're definitely not part of our community.
Additionally, a little insider info:
Magoverse has become a small, close-knit community, and the reason why you see the tag a little less active is because we're much more active in our Discord server, so y'all have been spared the raw shenanigans that take place First few weeks of that server was pure, hilarious insanity. "Just another day in the Magoverse" has become a running inside joke ever since because of that It's also become less active due to many of our members being in school/college/have jobs, so you might see a jump of activity come Summer (Late May, early June; Winter if you're in the Southern Hemisphere). We're planning more events, including something for Easter, and I apologize in advance for what whackiness it may bring
You probably see posts most from our little group in the Magoverse. Particularly me, @otterronpas, @puffballwarrior-blog, @pastille-pain, @cherry-blossom-qf , occasionally @opal-owl-flight (she's been doing a lot of Splatoon stuff lately- sorry for the tag homie) and @theeclipsedcrown ! We have fun, and it's a blast exploring crazy "what-ifs" for funsies! You can find us under #magoverse gang easy, we populate that tag the most. I'm so sorry— there will be more. Our little group is always cooking something creative and wild LOL. Our Magolors have become a found-family, and they're very close. It's really sweet! That's why you see our little Mago-gang together often.
Iro is my boy! Shorthand for his full name in my AU— Magolor Irioma. He's the one with the red and gold scarf, circle gold buckle. He's taken over my life alongside my OC, Orpheus LOL
I've had my own Kirby AU for nearly 6 years, a whole comic series in fact, but I decided to give Magolor a bigger role in early 2023 during my massive rewrite of my story. If anything, Magoverse gave me the chance to develop my AU's Magolor and his accompanying (and very important) lore among others, and it's helped me figure out who my Magolor is and his key part to play in my comic
Skyswap/Skye is my latest AU and just a little thing on the side; not a series. Dreams of the Stars (DotS), however, is my main AU and comic/fanfiction series, which is a collaboration alternate universe between me and my sister, @starlightfyre — It turns 6 years old on March 30th!
In conclusion: the Magoverse is a bunch of artists/writers that like one silly egg-shaped guy, and have some good, honest, wholesome fun! We're very friendly, and we do our best to support one another, be kind and considerate towards others Throughout my 10+ years of being in and out of fandoms, this has genuinely been the nicest one. (I'm ex-Sonic, ex-Zelda fandom for reference of my past experiences, both taking place during the 2010s)
Your kind words and intrigue both flatter and honor me! So too I salute you, Paintpanic
Feel free to hit me up anytime if you have any more questions, or wanna touch base with our tiny subculture of the fandom! I'm happy to give you the scoop anytime! 💖 Drop by my ask box anytime, any day! Have I endless tales of adventure to share, haha!!
You keep on doing your thing! <3 Be you, be awesome! 💜 Thank you for your curiosity and pleasant commentary! It's crazy to see how far word has spread of our little village of sillies!
And thank you for making it this far in! That is all from me! <3
little did you know there is a sansverse in the kirby fandom but it's with magolor
Oh, I'm absolutely aware of the Magoverse LOL. The closest thing I have here is this little freak.
Anyways, while I'm not an active participant in all that, I'm totally fascinated by the Magoverse people. It's a weird little niche subculture of an already niche fandom.
Some people over there are making whole AU worlds for their AU Magolors to live in, and some people are just making standalone alternate Magolors. It's entirely focused on this one character, though. The best comparison is obviously the Undertale AU fandom. Some AUs are whole fleshed-out worlds, and some of them just exist so an AU Sans can exist and interact with other Sanses.
I'm curious as to what about Magolor specifically is so compelling to folks. He's obviously super popular, but what aspect of him led to the creation of so many AU versions? With the Undertale AU fandom, there's a basis in the game. Several characters talk about alternate timelines, which very naturally leads to AUs.
My guess is Clash stuff? We see in Magolor Epilogue that alternate timelines do exist and that you can travel to them. As far as I know, this Magoverse stuff only popped up in the last year or so, after the release of RtDLDX. Just speculation.
Also like the Undertale AU fandom, it seems like there's a strong sense of community in the Magoverse crowd. The tag's got a lot of folks drawing each others' guys, and it looks like they had both a Halloween and a Secret Santa event.
Something I have no idea about is how this all started. Who made the first AU Magolor? What inspired them? Who were the folks that saw that and were inspired to make their own? Who coined the term "Magoverse"?
I feel like this is stuff that's important to know for fandom history. This subculture is noteworthy and should be documented. It'd be a real shame if this stuff wasn't preserved and we end up losing information about it. Maybe a Magoverse heritage posts archive blog should exist? I dunno.
At present, the Magoverse tag seems a bit inactive. I wouldn't call it dead, but the last post was about three days ago as of writing this. It's certainly not as active as it was mid-2023. I think folks will keep posting about it, at least for a little while, unless there's some kind of big revival.
All this stuff is weird and niche and not my thing, but I respect it. It's nice to see a friendly community of folks doing their own thing in their own little corner of the fandom. I salute you, Magoverse people.
#magoverse#magolor#blazin beeps#long post#please do feel free to ask me questions about Magoverse!!#I'm happy to share what I can of what we're cookin in our crazy community#I help manage and run events in the server!

just rereading your reverse robins au...i have to say, i don't think anyone understands tim drake like you do. by far the most superior reverse robins au to ever exist. and it's not like tim is the only character you understand either! you get them all! it's earthshattering & spectacular.
I would love to demur and go "oh, surely I'm not the only one who understands Tim Drake and writes a suitably unhinged Tim just as unhinged as in the comics -"
No. I am. You guys need to shape up about writing Tim. What is with this sadboy 'I just want a family' 'where's my coffee' woobie stuff. Go back and read the comics. This man is fucking insane.
I've talked before on this blog about how I finagled writing a Tim who is very much unlike any Tim, but who still feels the same. The man REALLY canonically has an addictive/obsessive personality (complete with deeply escapist tendencies and disregard for if the object of addiction is dangerous/bad for him - it is the profile of an addict). We feel that, because it's his personality in the comics, and even though no sane person would write the kid with a coke addiction we still vibe that it fits with what we know of him. Sometimes choosing to write somebody DRASTICALLY out of character can get down into the core of the character better than anything else.
In fanfic people write Tim as perpetually seeking a family, and I think on one level it's true - he LOVED Dick's (guilty.) attention and brotherhood. But I don't think he really had a father relationship with Bruce and I don't think he really wanted it. Man literally tried to falsify an uncle so he wouldn't have to suffer adult supervision. Bruce kept him at an emotional arms length because of Jason. When his dad tried to reconnect with Tim as a teenager, Tim did love him and felt guilty for the discord he caused, but he just straight up wasn't emotionally invested in the relationship(and not really for abuse reasons - comic split between bad parents/abusive parents is uhh ill-done, but I think Jack is almost never written as an abusive parent with authorial intent, which imho is the important thing). Tim holds adults and family figures at arms length. He's close with Young Justice, but they never even know his ID - he loves them, but he's not intimate with them. He is a cold person and he never really tries for anything different, when he has something different he has NO idea what to do with it, and I don't think he really wants it. But like that doesn't fit Batman sad baby adoption narrative soooo
I think at the end of the day what Tim is defined by is loss and absence, and it can never be defined by presence because Tim is no longer a person who can accept that. He is the single most interconnected character in the Batfam (DC was pushing for a lot of #teenheroes at the time and he was buddies with ALL of them), but all of those relationships have an absence where Tim is pathologically incapable of vulnerability. His life is comedically, comic book sad - he has lost a dad, a mom, a step-mom, an adoptive dad (400% PARENTAL MORTALITY RATE), a girlfriend, a best friend, and another best friend. That is NUTS. And cuz comics are kinda whatever about things, he just goes on his way. Comics don't acknowledge these things. But what you end up with is a Tim, who one way or another is always alone, and who always accepts that.
I couldn't quite express everything I wanted to express with Tim in the prophetic spring, but by the Cass story I had improved as a writer enough to show what I wanted to show. Tim is an old character with a lot of stuff going on, so I could basically pick any emotional throughline I wanted, but I picked for me what I think has defined his life. Tim's story was about a child who had been depressed since he could remember. Tim is the story of a lot of victims of emotional neglect and who live their lives in deep depression that is never acknowledged. He is never vulnerable for a second (even with Cass - and that's what Cass struggles with during that story, how vulnerability isn't knowing but saying), and the depression is sublimated/repressed and never acknowledged cuz Bruce does the same damn thing and he didn't notice lol.
In a way, in that story, Tim's mental health and drug addiction spiral is a good thing. Tim loudly and publicly developing a drug addiction was his way of asking for help, his way of finally screaming that he was in pain. Worst possible way. But it was kind of the only way he could, because Tim didn't know how to ask for help, because he didn't know how to be vulnerable. He could only figure out how to be push everybody away and try to violently throw them out of his life and how to be cruel to them, and it's fucked up that it was his way of asking for help - but Cass knew, and Cass understood. And Cass wasn't going to ignore it anymore.
There are a lot of insanely reliable things about me and it is that I CANNOT shut up when I talk about Tim. Thanks for reading this long-ass diatribe jakldfjlasdf.

HXH headcanons bc i've gotten back into it recently.
for the sake of these headcanons, i am taking many canon liberties bc i can do whatever i want this is my blog.
hisoka and illumi are terrible parents. they have no idea what they are doing, they don't really agree on how to parent and they make alot of mistakes. but their kids turn out ok, despite being a little fucked up and having the normal zoldyck-morrow family weirdness, they turn out pretty good and well adjusted. they love their parents and this is because despite all the mistakes hisoka and illumi made, they loved the fucking shit out of their kids, even with all of the fuck ups. hisoka and illumi can admit they're terrible parents and their kids will probably say "yeah, could've read more parenting books" but they were well loved and that's why they turned out ok.
kalluto grows up with the phantom troupe and eventually starts really pulling away from the zoldyck family. and let me tell you this kid is unhinged. the troupe taught him all kinds of things from fighting techniques to cooking to lock picking to stealing. he goes to zoldyck family dinners and shows off the cool shit he stole to literally anyone who will listen. the troupe taught him how to have fun and he fucking loves it.
when gons grandmother died, he was with killua in yorkshin for a hunt. they had just finished the hunt when he got the news from mito. killua went back to whale island with him and they stayed for six months to help mito. gon was completely broken up and killua didn't really know what to do, but he did his best to try and comfort gon by distracting him and just hanging out with him. it was a long grieving period but killua was able to help pull him out of it.
illumi is lustful for power and he raised his kids to also want more. hisoka tried to balance this by trying to get them more focused on the fight rather than the outcome like he enjoys. all this did was make really really competitive kids. like insanely competitive. even fucking checkers is a death match i stg. the bet and compete with everything including hunts, assassinations, and their own parents.
leorio becomes a doctor and a really good one. so he is the one to constantly patch up kurapika, whether it's after a hunt or one of kurapika's own personal missions. leorio is always the one to heal and help him. leorio has seen kurapika on his deathbed and bleeding out, but no matter what, he always comes back. he always heals him.
ya know how leorio got that hit in with ging. eventually more people come across him and know who he is. even random strangers who know gon will see ging and "ayo isnt that gons dad?!" more and more people get hits on him bc when they see him it's just, "there's that asshole who left gon-" so hisoka gets a couple hits, kurapika, killua, the random hunter from yorkshin, a nice couple who sheltered gon when he was injured from a hunt. basically: everyone hates ging.
neferpitou and doc martins. thats it. that's the headcanon.
ur telling me that gon doesn't have the most random skills ever. living on whale island, he picked up some random ass skills. this kid can gut fish, knit, speak a couple small languages spoken around the island, he can do floral arrangements, he can do rlly good business math???, just all this random shit that people around the island needed help with and he got taught how to do it so he could help them. i would also like to add that killua starts gaining some of these skills the more he hangs out with gon.
when hisoka and illumi have kids, killua tries to kidnap them so protect them from illumi. hisoka caught him trying to talk their four year old daughter out the window with him. they were celebrating a birthday and hisoka just fucking invites killua like- "darling get away from your uncle, also, killua, would you like to come sing happy birthday with us"
kalluto grows out his hair like illumi's while he's in the phantom troupe. kalluto loves long hair but it does get annoying sometimes, so machi, like a joke suggests space buns. and kalluto has like a epiphany. he goes the the bathroom mirror and puts his hair up in space buns and he looks wondering. hair strands hanging around his face, messy buns- it's practical and looks good so he just went with it.

tagged by my dear @foxmagpie for a 2021 Fic Thingy 😊❤️
total number of completed works: 10!
total word count: 112K
fandoms i’ve written in: Good Girls
looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected: more I think! I wrote so much while the show was airing it was so stressful trying to post something linked to an episode before the next ep aired 😂 I wrote 2 fics in 6 days at one point like???? Insane! Who was that madwoman
what’s your own favorite story of the year? Jawbreaker. I love yearning and Simp Rio so it pleases me greatly. I reread it all the time
did you take any writing risks this year? Annie POV for Campanula. I was sooo out of my comfort zone but I really liked how it turned out
do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year? Even though I don't really think of it as unfinished I would like to maybe wrap-up Only You Show Me What Warmth Is. Maybe do a Neighbors AU fic. The yoga teacher Rio fic I've had on the back burner for agesss. I also want to write a Beth pov of Jawbreaker and get started on all the fun sequal fics for that story!
most popular story of the year? Jawbreaker
story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Invitation to a Beheading. It's one of my absolute fave fics I've written but it's one of my least popular fics overall, by all metrics. I think at the time people saw the title and thought I'd written an actual rio-kills-beth fic (I would never!😅) I dunno! It has probably my fave sex scenes in but I can't make people like blood-covered fucking next to a fresh corpse I guess😂
most fun story to write: They're all fun so I'm gonna say Invitation to a Beheading again cause I was so drunk
most unintentionally telling story: oo I really don't know. All of them have something that tells on me.
biggest disappointment: Tell 'Em I Was Knitting It. For a few reasons. And I guess I was a little disappointed that the final chapter of Jawbreaker had the least 'interaction' or whatever of all the chapters? It's silly but I remember being quite paranoid about that at the time
biggest surprise: I never ever thought I would write a High School or College AU so being inspired to write one by a 2 minute scene of Rio playing basketball was deffo a surprise
my favorite part of the fandom this year: I have such fuckin insane memories of watching 4x06 happen live with all of us screaming in DMs like that was the funniest night it was so unhinged. The 4am live-blogging in general was a hysterical experience I will miss dearly. Also my friendsssss 😩 I think you're all sexy and i luv u

absolute dgs2 spoilers incoming.
i've tiptoed around this blog and its juicy juicy dgs content for nearly FIVE FUCKING YEARS and yeah ok i watched all of nicob's dgs1 playthrough and i knew kazuma somehow??? came back in dgs2 and stuff. but today i finally broke.
somebody posted a meme about dgs2 ending with an asoryuu divorce and i just. lost it. secretly alive? i could wait and see. tragically divorced? i fucking pulled an all-nighter piecing final case shit together from random blogs (instead of consulting the wiki like a normal person) and what the shit.
what the actual fuck. amnesia and SECRET LAWYER ASSASSIN?????? i'm going insane. i finished reading phantoms and mirages all those years ago thinking "damn. that was so good, shame nothing like it would ever happen in canon". takumi this is unhinged.
anyways now i'm actually gonna watch nicob's dgs2 playthrough instead of gazing at it from afar. how dare i be so distraught over these idiots leaving each other on separate continents. kazuma really saw how nick manipulated apollo in in case 4-1 and thought "yeah but what if i did mia and miles and fucking godot as well". how have you coped with this for the last 5 years???
Hahahahahaha, welcome to the wild ride that The Great Ace Attorney! It really is some of Takumi's best work. (I still rank Ghost Trick extremely high as well though, because GHOST TRICK.) Honestly, the stuff with Kazuma is not even half of all the insane twists that happen in these games. Definitely a big part of it, though. (Someone you thought was your friend turning out to be an assassin sure is a thing I didn't connect to Phantoms and Mirages until you brought it up just now, fdskljsfld. I can see it, though.) In regards to the question of how I coped... Well, I spent most of those 5 years thinking the game wasn't going to be localized anyway, and thus the fandom we had after the Japanese releases was pretty much it. I had a select circle of friends to scream at and that fine. We were all at peace for a long while, with the occasional newcomer who'd just found out about the fantranslation. But then the localization news dropped and the fandom went through the grandest revival. It was amazing to live through in real time, I'll tell you that!
