Oooooo tell us more abt quackitys shapeshifting in ur newest fic, I am so intrigued (if you want :) I loved it soo much <3)

ANONNNN first of all: i am in love with you <3333 /p

but HERE WE GO:

Quackity's shapeshifting isn't... natural. He wasn't born with it, it's not something he's supposed to be able to do. It's when he lost his ability to use his wings that his shapeshifting actually "formed." Before I get into that, though, you'll need some background info:

In (my headcanon for) the DSMP, there are four major goddesses: the Goddess of Death, the twin Goddesses of Time, and the Goddess of Magic. None of them are... evil, per say, but they aren't exactly the most moral either.

But that's not the point. All of the goddesses have squires and knights; the Goddess of Death has Dream XD and Philza, the twin Goddesses have... someone :), and they are fighting over Karl, and the Goddess of Magic has Drista as a squire.

The Goddesses of Magic, however.... needs someone else to aid her. She adores Drista, and wouldn’t dare get rid of her, but she isn't exactly the type to follow orders well.

So, when she is shown a flightless duck with a heart of gold, well, she has to take her chance. She messes around with his physiology a bit, and that's how when he ends up at the cave, he looks like Sapnap.

(Except, soon, he's dancing with Death. It's too late to take away his powers, though; as betrayed as she feels, there's still a chance for him yet, and taking away his abilities would simply ruin him- they're ingrained in him now, and, even if she isn't very moral, she is not nearly as evil as a certain ex-president, a certain ex-husband.)
