I love the idea of Luigi’s wardrobe having some more “dapper” apparel in it. Wanting emulate his Count/father plus he just looks good. But that wouldn’t be his only form of dress. Luigi is fully allowed freedom in clothing choice, having a broad variety of both formal and casual dress, along with more familiar overalls and dungarees for when he gets up to Mr. L’s mechanic work. Mimi is wholly responsible for the size and variety of Luigi’s closet, and teaching him how to have good taste in fashion.

Mr. L absolutely does exist albeit very differently in this. A “superhero” persona to hide his identity both for the protective reasons you listed, but also for Luigi to have versatility in going on both reconnaissance and combat missions and not be recognized. But another idea I’ve weaved into it is still incorporating magical interference. This Luigi grew up having learned the ability to act from both Mimi and Dimentio, so he knows how to play a convincing persona, but would still struggle with being able to follow through with hurting the heroes. Especially if he’s gotten to know them more from interacting with them on prior undercover missions.

Dimentio uses a combination of artful manipulations and secret spellcasting on Mr. L’s mask to get Luigi in the mindset/motivations to have actual malice toward them to follow through with disposing of their enemies. It ultimately fails however as Luigi’s own will and inner magic is able to override the spellwork.

Luigi just has that effect. You can’t not love him!

Nicknames! That’s really cute and a great way to set up angst for the messy truth coming out. I also created another for Dad!Bleck to use, “mon petit cœur” French endearment meaning “my little heart” (which, fitting for the themes of love and hearts; and I’m making Bleck fluent in French because guys, his character is the most dramatic, romantic and lovelorn in the French translation. Making Luigi trilingual in this au! He learned Italian from Dimentio :)… have fun with that).

ok i cant control myself here’s me infodumping about my stardew valley x tdi fic idea:

-first few chapters are all noah’s perspective. he lives in a small run down town called stardew valley, working at the library with their shitty museum attached. he has a couple old books of his on display, but nothing more. rumors of a new farmer coming to town arise, he doesn’t think much of it.

-until he sees the farmer after he’s moved there. he’s pretty, sure, but he’s… weird.

-the farmer waits around like he knows where people are gonna be at a certain time. he’s scarily good at collecting new gems and minerals for the museum, he’s even better at fighting in the mines, where most people don’t dare to go.

-he knows what everyone likes without even asking.

-this all gets annoying because noah hasn’t learned anything about the farmer, other than his name. alejandro.

-he can’t shake the feeling something is wrong with the new farmer.

-so he starts being a bit meaner. refusing gifts he loves, even if it almost seems to pain him to do so. he’s gotten to the point he can outright refuse to let alejandro donate to the museum! it brings him satisfaction to see the looked on the farmers face, but he can’t deny something inside him feels horribly wrong whenever he… acts out.

-eventually we get an alejandro pov. and the entirety of “stardew valley” is a video game. none of the characters we’ve been following or learning about are real, not even the farmer noah knows. he’s simply a made up character.

-alejandro is pissseddd because something is wrong with his newest save! he had made a brand new one to attempt and speed run it, having the summer off from college and finally being miles and miles away from his family breathing down his neck.

-so what is this characters deal all the sudden?

-the new dialogue noah says, he can’t find it anywhere online. he didn’t know characters could refuse gifts they loved, or even in general!

-when the librarian refuses to let him donate his recent finds to the museum, he makes it his mission to figure out how this is happening.

-he gets his local tech “friend” Sierra to take a look and observe the game, hoping she can figure out what’s wrong. he doesn’t exactly like the girl but…. she’s really smart when it comes to certain things. especially her favorite video game.

-noah continues to question the other townsfolk, but starts realizing that… they all kind of act the same. have the same responses. routines.

-he realizes he does too.

-izzy is the only other self aware character inside of the game, noah nearly strangled her when she told him she’s known for a long time.

rest of the story is sierra and alejandro realizing the characters are becoming self aware, and being like WTFFFF especially since they all start having distinct reactions and dialogues once sierra takes over alejandro’s farmer for a bit, seeing as they act very different.

this story would likely not have a super happy ending since ya know, most of the characters aren’t real. but i love fucking around with grey idea things like knowing ur trapped inside a game forever, but also loving the people and life you have in there! as well as ofc the eventual angst involved once feelings become a thing noah has for alejandro, seeing as he knows he’s real, and the farmer he plays as will never actually be him.

and yeah you're right 🤧🤧🤧— yuusha would try to hide and escape, especially as she overblots bc she would try to avoid hurting people (and like elsa, it'd only hurt others more trying to escape bc of probably how she leaves destruction in her wake trying to make others stay away from her 😔)

(this is a small tangent but i remember thinking about an overblot kalim and i imagine him to be similar, like he would not hurt anyone intentionally in his overblot.)

anyways so the way it would go is that i imagine her friends got fatally injured either because a) she feels that she’s too “useless” without magic to help and wasn’t able to do anything OR b) her attempts at helping to try and prove that she can help without magic made everything worse.

and then she just goes into a guilty spiral then boom — overblot.

ALSO in the song, the way elsa briefly contemplated taking her own life but then realizing there’s no guarantee that would solve anything hnghgh (<- another unintentional parallel to my yuusha lore because that’s actually how she ended up in twst except she did NOT have the latter realization)

there’s this “yuu is dead” theory i’m just using and that the black carriage actually just caught yuusha’s soul after she took her own life from all the burden.

also some bonus angst context for that violin post :3

yuusha back in her homeworld is raised and known to be a gifted musician. people can feel the life and soul in her music but when people interact with her, they are usually met with an ice-cold (heh) personality.

the dead family member was the one who taught her music and the only one who was kind to her.

there’s always an expectation from her family to perform well and to keep up appearances as to not be a humiliation since anything she does can reflect on her entire family. (also hi, slight yuusha/jamil parallels maybe???)

the way she presents herself also stemmed from an incident as a child when she went apeshit on another kid bc she was defending a friend.

so from then on she was taught taught to conceal don’t feel those emotions — which just unfortunately extended to any positive ones, not just negative ones like rage.

so when she is brought to twst, there’s no memory of her being forced to hold back her emotions so she’s just unapologetically affectionate and open with everyone bc that’s how she really is.

but every now and then, memories of her breaking down haunt her in her dreams or as subtle reminders in the waking world.

then yuusha just goes on her day like she just wasn't reminded of her past.

(unnecessarily tragic lore my beloved, but anyway—)

hehe youre observant and actually right on the money. yup!  so essentially i just have different eye trauma head canons for whichever version of freemind im drawing; since he doesnt actually lose his eye in canon, its up to everyone to fil in the blanks if they wanna use the popular headcanon. i wrote .  a good chunk of stuff .  so i put it under the cut . but heres a picture to be like a . tldr

I sorta like his eye already being gone before the resonance cascade (in a non-freemanverse scenario). he does verbally say something like "my eyes" in the series, indicating he has two, BUT . well.  its a headcanon. so we can have fun with it . my eye loss pre-rescas freemind stems from my original freemind design (before i ever started posting half-life on the internet) where he had short hair, but i needed a way to distinguish him from og gordon, so I used thr popular one eye headcanon. then I realized him losing his eye bc of the military goes perfectly with martini losing an arm. that bothered me for a while until i realized i could just have multiple freemind designs + headcanons. if theres different variations of Gordon  and martini, why can't there be some of Freemind as well? grins grins

i left it open ended in my SGU because people have their own headcanons and I thought anyone could just fill in their own. if I did every make a canon eyeloss event prequel thing, he would've lost his eye during college in some sort of either freak accident (like tripping on something and injuring himself bad; I like this one because he'll lie and say he was in a fight) or, like u said, a fight . for SGU, college was a low point in his life of him struggling with freedom from his parents for the firsr time, but them and their ideals still holding him hostage. he is simultaneously more repressed and more emotionally volatile than present!gordon. then, when his parents die, hes just given a clusterfuck of emotions. so why dont we add physical trauma? whatever the sgu canon event eye loss was, it was definitely related to substance abuse issues. whether that be he was high/drunk and got into an accident, or fought someone... not sure! yet. the only thing that i can say was that no fire or chemicals were involved, since his tearduct is (unfortunately for him) wholly in tact!

but for freemanverse!freemind, he should lose his eye during the rescas since its like thematic and stuff if (almost) every Gordon Loses Something. also, angst. whenever I draw freemanverse (even in a domestic setting) in my head, i always think of them surviving the rescas together! i have. convoluted freemanverse headcanons. the eye loss is an important freemanverae event because, like martini, it gives him a valid reason to REALLY dislike benrey (but in my au, benrey isnt the big bad, so he "redeems" himself kinda sorta) . and then it ALSO opens up freemind to be upset and vulnerable, which allows him to bond with his fellow freemen.

also I want barmey to tend to his wounds and call his scar(s) badass. im not immune to buttermind and i never was.

honorable mention: sims freemind, who has both eyes physically but only can see from one. this is due to me unable to properly texture a glasses + eyepatch combo, that and i have no experience with 3d modelling (I did try!).

i hope this is a satisfying enough infodump!! I'm sorry if it's a bit vague; a lot of my ideas tend to be fluid. i also like taking inspiration from what other people think! some of you guys are way super smart and have awesome ideas. i am not immune to well articulated essays and thought out headcanons

Not a request, just a thought: barty x childhood best friend reader

OK, so, Crouch Sir and reader's dad are business partners and politicians in the wizard world and Barty and Reader meet early on life, like when they were something between 4 or 5 years old, and they became best friends (and each others only friends, their fathers weren't the best...) really quickly.

They parents keep letting they meet to play, afterall is good to business too. They grow up attached to the hip and being each other's safe place. It's always "Barty & Y/N", "Barty & his Treasure" (the nickname has a big meaning since Reader is the most important person in Junior's life), etc.

They go to Hogwarts together, and while Barty goes to Slytherin, Reader goes to Ravenclaw. Reader is roomates with Pandora (hc she didn't had a roomate/had only one bc no one wanted to be near "a freak like her" :( ) and Barty with Regulus + Evan.

Reader is also part of the Skittles and they befriend Dorcas (who's 1 year older), but she and Barty have something... special (love).

In summary, "Junior & Treasure" just are best friends who end up falling in love and stay pining for YEARS but only act on it on the middle of sixth year :) + they friends are SO. DONE...

They only have platonic love towards each other ("Yes. I love Barty/Treasure, he/she is my best friend, but I'm not in love with him/her") and Rosekiller + Reader x someone (maybe Remus..? The angst of our poor boy, who already is insecure, thinking the girl he's in love with is dating someone like Barty Crouch Junior of all people is funny & sad...) happening is also amusing. Because nothing will break their bond and STILL would be extremely close.

P.S.: also, no Voldemort AU bc I can <3 / P.S. 2: it's heavinly inspired in a OC I have, but she doesn't have as much as daddy issues as Reader has there even though her father is shitty like Crouch Sir <3 (her father dies when she's 6, almost 7, and her mother — much younger than her father — marries another woman who was Reader mother's best friend in Hogwarts and Reader's godmother :) ) but I can send you the OC lore if you want...?

the background you describe here about being each other's only friend and safe space is actually quite similar to a regulus x reader fic i've been working on for a while (you can find my trail of breadcrumbs about it under my beauxbatons!reader tag), so we truly are great minds thinking alike, anon (i also recently did a james x reader fic where james thought reader and barty were dating lol, our brains are like this 🤞)

but i find the idea of childhood bestfriendship with barty very intriguing indeed... i've always seen him as barely staying sane from crouch sr's frivolous use of imperio because he had someone grounding him throughout his abuse at home. oftentimes i make that his mother, a house elf or even evan&pandora. but childhood!bestfriend!reader being his rock gives immaculate angsty yearning possibilities

when reading this i also got the idea of an origin of barty calling reader treasure (because i always enjoy finding "reasons" for specific nicknames like that (for instance in modern aus i like thinking that remus made a typo calling reader "dove" instead of "love" one time and then it just stuck)) – if they met really young, i imagine barty and reader relying heavily on play pretend to get some relief from their home lives. somehow they come across a muggle children's book about pirates and are immediately hooked, play pretending as pirates every time they're together. barty would insist reader is the "treasure" – because every pirate worth's his money's got a treasure, and barty surely is a good pirate. it translates over to when you play hide and seek, when he finds you he's all "i found the treasure!" and from there on it just becomes the norm and slips into daily conversation until he calls you that more often than your name. because after all you are his treasure, you are why and how he got through it all, his person, his everything.

okay, so i actually made a post a long time ago about why i hate this card but after rummaging through my archive, i cANT FIND IT so im gonna have to explain all over again. heads up, this is gonna be a longwinded post, so please bear with me...

OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMER THAT THESE ARE JUST MY OWN THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO LIKE THIS CARD IF U WANT TO OK. DONT COME AFTER ME.

whenever i read any luke card story and judge its merit, i ask myself a couple of questions:

is it paced well?

does it say something interesting or new about luke, rosa, and/or their relationship together?

if there is angst, does that angst mean something substantial?

were there things in the card that couldve been done better?

overall, did i enjoy reading the card?

now let me go through each question one by one

is it paced well? HELL NAW. the entire first few acts go by so slowly with lots of infodumping exposition. even if there wasnt any infodumping exposition, the first parts of the card are boring. luke is essentially alone trekking up to where the dragon is, and by virtue of being alone, we only get to see his internal monolog with nobody for it to bounce off of. the entire first few parts of this card made me go "are we theeeeeere yeeeeeet????"

does it say something interesting or new about luke, rosa, and/or their relationship together? not.....really. it showed luke's devotion and guilt, yes, but we already knew he had that. i'll give this card some credit because it did show luke's devotion and guilt to Extreme Levels, giving us a glimpse of a "bad ending", so to speak, showing us how luke could end up if he destroyed himself. but like....given that these thing happen in what the card later reveals to be a dream, it feels like everything new that the story brought up amounts to nothing

speaking of it being All Just A Dream, let's head to our next question: if there is angst, does that angst mean something substantial? well, since it all just happened in mc's dreamscape, it essentially made the pain feel like it amounted to nothing. it wasnt real, after all. this couldve been handled in a way that couldve made the dream's pain more important, which leads me to the next question

were there things in the card that couldve been done better? YES. in the card, after mc wakes up from the dream, she remarks that it was strange and out of character and then luke comforts her and then like. thats it. i wouldve wanted to see the story instead delving into this more: like them discussing the implications of how mc's imagination thought it was in character for luke to KILL HIMSELF if he thought himself guilty for hurting and killing mc, how her imagination thought his guilt and devotion would reach that extreme. if they had talked about the dream together, if luke's comfort had more context, then this wouldve solved the problem of "does this card say something interesting about their relationship?" because this would be an avenue for something like that to bloom

lastly, did i enjoy the card.....i will admit, the card made me cry, so it's emotional impact isnt non-existent. but after i cried i was like. huh. most of that story was boring, none of it mattered in the first place, and it add anything new to their overarching relationship.

this is why i hate it

it couldve been better. i couldve ranked it higher as maybe in the "good but nothing special" tier, but like. the fact that it squandered its potential to be more, while also mostly just being angst for angst's sake.....well, thats why i hate it kjBLSJFKDJ

when I started shipping it if I did:

I started genuinely shipping them when I played Engage for myself, because that's when I realized that oh. Oh this works so well.

my thoughts:

OHHHH THEY'RE SO GOOD. The parallels are immaculate, their dynamic is super silly in lighthearted moments and so heavy during more serious ones, they give hopelessly in love vibes and, you know. I adore them platonically too, obviously.

What makes me happy about them:

Yunaka finding love and support from her god of all people, someone who she always thought would judge her to be irredemable and instead adores her, and Alear trusting Yunaka despite her being expicitly sketchy being the first step in their self-forgiveness. When you think about it, Yunaka's background is basically an abridged version of Alear's.

Just, idk. They make me so happy!

What makes me sad about them:

Oh boy. Their pasts and their trauma. Yunaka's constant self-loathing and fear of her past coming to the surface and impostor syndrome and thinking Alear's too good for her. Alear's discomfort at being treated like a god and feeling alienated because of it. Past Alear. Just... Past Alear.

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

I don't think I've found anything that actually annoys me, to be honest. Which is good.

things I look for in fanfic:

Both the fluff with them being silly together (pre and post relationship) but also the angst of them dealing and opening up about their trauma.

That good hurt/comfort stuff 🥲

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

For Yunaka I'd say Citrinne, since you know. "Enemies" to lovers is always fun

For Alear I don't have any other strong ships, so I'd say I'm fine with almost everyone. Except the kids and the rest of their family, obviously. And Lindon.

Them being happily married and obnoxiously in love while they watch over Elyos together 💕

Love her! She's such a good mix of silly and serious, she can be really goofy but also she's one of the smartest people of the cast and will not fuck around with people she deems a threat, but she's super chill with anyone else!

If I had to describe her in a word, it would be "Fun".

My non-romantic OTP for this character: 

Veyle! The fact she goes from being among the most skeptical about her to one of the most supportive once she actually joins for good is so interesting, and also the contrast between someone so carefree (on the surface at least) and someone who feels ashamed to even be alive. Just, idk. I really like them.

I think she'd be besties with Alfred too, wish they had supports together.

My unpopular opinion about this character: 

She's smarter than she looks, her voice is great and she's a lot more interesting than people give her credit for.

Also the fact the Solm siblings are the most overlooked ones of the cast is... sus, to say the least. This fandom is not escaping the racism allegations.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

I wish she was more involved in the story. Compared to the other roylas she and Fogado don't go through much that directly involves them, you know?

Oh also while I'm not sure I would actually want it in canon, recruitable Fell Timerra would've been cool.

Ok, so, here's the thing:

In my AU Kirby isn't fully Meta Knight's biological child. That being for the simple reason that Nightmare tampered with Meta in the past, screwing his genetics; reason why Meta has wings even without being one of the heroes of Yore. Kirby, being made out of pure light matter is therefore Meta's chronological and -for the most part- biological child, but Nightmare's Influence on Meta basically cut off a lot of genetical/natural ligament with him.

That being said, Meta Knight loves him nontheless, he would literally give his own life away for him and he always tries to make him happy no matter how devastated he himself might be in that moment.

Here are some fun facts!

Meta Knight talks to Kirby about emotional stuff especially when he (the latter) is asleep.

After long and difficult fights with demon beasts, Meta Knight will refuse to go to sleep that day just to watch over Kirby the whole night, fearing that he'll be taken away.

Simply having him hold Kirby close can save Meta Knight from multiple panic attacks.

He spent months learning the perfect intonation and pronounciation of the best lullaby he could find just for Kirby.

He's apparently also very good at sewing (As seen in that one Pengi episode, where everyone sews their penguin disguise by themselves,) and he likes to take advantage of that skill to sew tiny beanies and plush friends for Kirby.

Now, onto the fic! (warning, extreme angst torwards the end)

The young knight had woken up in cold sweat. How could he had fallen asleep so easily?

Surely enough, his dreams hadn't been 'sweet' either: the familiar vision of blood on his hands was all he could remember. Meta Knight shook his head:

"Collect yourself, Meta, be cool. None of these dreams have meaning, you shouldn't take them so seriously." He scolded himself, sighing.

"Perhaps I should start today by putting a smile on; after all, I couldn't possibly give Kirby a bad example-..." He stopped immediately as he turned to the bed only to find no one there. Meta Knight frowned:

"And of course he's already out and about. I should've expected this, he is still a child after all." The knight said. He could not, however, hide the slightest glint of purple worry in his bright golden eyes:

"I'll start looking for him. you'll never know..." He anticipated, trying to justify that overwhelming feeling. Putting on his mask, cape and shoulder pads, he got off the bed and walked over to the counter to wish Sword and Blade a good morning; they, however, weren't present either: disappointed, the soldier walked out the room.

Patrolling Castle DeDeDe's corridors, Meta Knight noticed Dreamland's silence. The oh, so unusual, terrifying silence. He could feel the weight of each one of his quick steps on the cold tiled floor. Almost completely sinking in his own thoughts, he snapped back to reality upon recognizing the figure of Minister Parm's daughter; quickening his pace even more, he walked up to her:

"Fumu."

The young girl jumped: "Oh, it's just you, Sir Meta Knight."

"Have you, ah... perhaps, seen Kirby, this morning?"

"Not really, now that I think of it. Knowing Kirby he's probably out playing with Bun in the yard, though--"

"Thank you for your assistance." Meta interrupted her, before walking away, his subtle rudeness leaving the kid with her eyes widening in surprise.

In his search for the pink warrior, Meta Knight just so happened to come across the throne room. Convinced of the possibility of clues about Kirby's disappearance, he decided to eavesdrop on King DeDeDe's conversation:

"You have our gratitude, King D3."

"Aw yeah, ain't nothing like a deal as great as this one: I get rid of an annoyin' obstacle and y'all give me money fer it!" he cackled.

"I can assure you this decision will not be of any regret."

"It better not be!" he talked back.

"Very well then. I shall take my leave now." The familiar voice said before being cut off by a loud buzzing sound.

"Who knew defeating Kirby had always been as easy as just sending him over at Holy Nightmare? You sure are a genius, your majesty!" the snail added.

Meta Knight's eyes widened in shock, turning into a tint of blue-ish white as he started uncontrollably shaking. So many horrifying thoughts wouldn't leave his mind:

Kirby was gone.

He was in Nightmare's possession.

And God knows what he could've done to him already.

The knight's vision progressively blurring as he started to feel heavy, an increasingly louder heartbeat blocking out every other sound in the castle.

Immediately, Meta Knight awoke, jumping out of his bed. His heart rate completely unsteady, he started grasping for air: his breaths were dangerously short and fast, and he couldn't even feel his now shaking hands anymore. He gazed over to the other side of the bed: Kirby was there, he was safe, all that happened was just a horrible nightmare. He quickly picked up the sleeping child and wrapped him tightly in his arms: the warmth of his son's fragile little body transferring onto him as his breath started steadying. Calming down, the knight fell back asleep.

Hello! I know it's late- But I wanna do some infodump or really just rambling instead.

Firstly remember when I said Lucio and Wick are enemies to lovers kinda thing? They are however is not very toxic.. More like few bickering there and that, it's going to be a slow burn it'll take time for them to admit their feeling each other. They respect eachother a little though.

Did they admit? Nope they both deny it in several reasons which I already have explained later older posts. Wick falls first, then Lucio falls harder (More than how Rocky fell down into the stairs poor Rocky my boi-)

While Lucio dislikes Wick and often gets too blunt at him there's time he actually show kindness although he doesn't want to admit that. No he does not want Wick to see that, his unaware the other thinks the same too.

'Funny' enough he was supposed to get rid of Wick because his boss assigned, to prevent Wick being presuade funding the Lackadaisy which failed.. So after few interrogating, the result became unexpected, it happened when Wick treated him kindness.. Not fake kindness but genuine something he no longer had.

Cause how would Wick love a guy working for a crime boss and had done messed up things to a result of destroying through his childhood? As much he wants to never go near to the posh cat it's nearly impossible because every time Wick appears to the more he grew to slowly fell for him..

Wick is a law abiding man. Lucio? Nothing but a huge disgrace.

Wick at first sees Lucio as a company after having no choice but to atleast helped each other (My Au.) Later on he gain feelings to Lucio also and became confuse and questioning his own Sexuality or attraction.

Until months later the two became close friends no longer 'Aqquaintance' the bickering decrease.. The bond grew close where at the point they started hanging out private places talking their interests, hobbies, many more. Laughing like old times like they were good 'friends.' This is when Lucio ditched supposed mission. Wick continued to be nice to him with added helping Lucio like carrying stuffs, trying his best to heal Lucio wound as possible, giving a friendly gift and etc. So is Lucio doing favors/errands/giving 'friendly gifts' for Wick.

Lucio jokingly calls Wick princy then after months of their 'Aqquaintanceship' started calling him 'Hiyas' (Meaning gem cause Wick likes rocks so why not?.) He had accidentally call Wick 'irog' which means love luckily the other doesn't know Tagalog, it proceeded to stirr Lucio more falling into deep pit of so called 'love'.

Wick slowly he soon saw Lucio's true self not the walking snark and sass self but slowly nice self.. This lead him having a denial to out of fear not how will the public think if the info was exposed, how will it effect his image as a businessman think but everyone he cares including Lucio too.

Imagine Wick knew what Lucio's assigned misson earlier when they meet first. Now after few months Wick started to love him dearly. he didn't react negatively to it instead tells Lucio to do it so he won't have to suffer the consequences, shocking Lucio and left two options either kill Wick or leave.. He picked second option realizing coming in a conclusion.

He LOVE Wick.

Personality Headcanons: He hates tobacco. He hates it when people smoke around him. He's the kind of guy to put out your cigarette for you and you look up at him, thinking you're gonna fight some punk but quickly change your mind. His dad used to make him cut and light his cigars and he hated doing it so much he swore he'd never smoke. The hole that he sleeps in is deliberately cut, sanded, and reboarded. He nests in there. Probably Autistic and doesn't speak much around strangers. Will gladly infodump to his friends. He's in his mid-late 30s ~35-38. In addition to being part of TF4 he also works part time as a steam locomotive driver. After being tied to the train tracks, he kind of got curious about it. He can play an instrument, I'm just not sure which one. Probably a fiddle idk. Physical Headcanons: The tooth sticking out is a broken tusk. he desperately wants to grow facial hair, has tried, and cannot. He's very jealous of people who do have facial hair. ~6'05" Gender: Cis male Pronouns: He/Him Orientation: Straight He's a hardcore ally and loves going to pride events to support his friends. He thinks they're a lot of fun. Post Game: His life carried on fairly regularly afterwards, like Ace. I personally feel like he had more of a connection with Clover than the others though so, he was a little more impacted by their death. Sometimes he'll sit into the early morning with Starlo at the Saloon. Opinions: I'm bias. I heart large men so, points. I would have also liked to have seen more of him. One thing though is that on appearance alone I could so clearly hear his voice when he spoke. His design carries. 3.5/5.

Flowey

Personality Headcanons: Flowey is my favorite character in the Undertale franchise so I'm going to TRY to keep this short. As it stands, he's currently stuck at the maturity level he died at, so around 11-13. Since he doesn't have a physical body (other than a flower) he doesn't really age. I don't think he's a lost cause or even completely irredeemable. He's a terrified, traumatized, kid who's own parents don't recognize him anymore. He's had to try to navigate the world in a body that isn't his, completely alone. Sometimes when he goes through episodes he lies close to the ground to bite his petals and rip them off hoping that somehow it'll make room for his horns to grow back. He both despises his family for splitting up and ignoring him but wants nothing more than to be a family again. He has really conflicting feelings on a lot of things. I feel like if he went through extensive therapy his maturity would probably eventually catch up to what would be his chronological age if he wasn't a flower. He's touch starved but hates being touched. Probably has one or multiple personality disorders. Physical Headcanons: We get a side profile of his nose in his boss fight in neutral. I think that's a genetic trait from Asgore. Has freckles. Not much to headcanon since he's a Flower until the true ending of the OG UT when he ascends. Gender: He stopped giving fucks a long time ago. Pronouns: He/They (DESPISES being called an it) Orientation: Aroace. He's not necessarily repulsed but if asked if he has a crush on anyone he'd say "I'd rather watch someone be crushed to death than think ever think about dating." Post Game: N/A Opinions: I'm a die hard Flowey Apologist. He's such a deep, complex, and tragic character. I love him. I want to hug him. In this specific game too, wow, I love Flowey lore. Love Flowey angst. 5/5.

Martlet Personality Headcanons: Probably AuDHD. Definitely has racing thoughts / scatterbrain. Her first job was babysitting when she was a teen. She only barely got into The Royal Guard because they were desperate after losing a lot of good members in the war. She eventually proved herself to be a good member. Probably in her early 20s so ~21-23. Physical Headcanons: She's pretty buffed because of her job. ~5'10". I don't have too many. Gender: Trans Woman Pronouns: She/They Orientation: Multisexual of some sort with a preference for women. Also ambiamorous. Post Game: She quit her job at The Royal Guard, unable to really take the burden of having to kill a human child for the king. Chujin's words haunt her, what he said about her not being cut out for it. Instead she got a job as a classroom assistant. She bounces around the limited schooling system the underground has. So often times she gets a good reputation with the kids and will get to watch them grow up. Sometimes her job makes her think about how she could have done her best to hide Clover and watch them grow up too. She's a very emotional person by nature so, she would probably take the longest to really have it be in the past for her. But, she got right to *appearing* like she was moving on. By day it was like nothing had happened at all, she puts on a smile for the kids she helps out with, plays games with them. She's good at seeming okay but just shatters every night for a long time. Eventually (RAREPAIR), spending so much time with Dalv became beneficial for the both of them and they helped pull each other out of the rut. Opinions: I wish she had more screen time because she seems like a character the creators cared a lot about. She's very OC shaped and that's a good thing. I love when I can see the care that goes into a character. 4/5.

*Inhale for four, exhale for four* Alright, let's get into it.

Guess we'll just start at the start, Asticassia is far more wrecked than we could see at the end of episode 20, death count is probably in the scores if not hundreds, and the survivors are basically in a refugee camp. Earth House and Suletta out here doing their best to make everyone comfortable, which automatically makes them the GOAT house. Petra's alive...ish! Mio's President now, for whatever that's worth, Quinharbor is a bombed-out crater, and those slimy Peil crones somehow managed to once again pull the "we didn't know this unethical thing was being done right beneath our noses" card (even if they really didn't know until someone else told them, I wouldn't put it past them to want a piece of that pie). More on them later.

The meeting between Earth House, Guston, and Belmeria is a perfect example of what I like to see in an infodump; nothing is said that characters in the room should already know, everything is news to someone. I really really dig now Suletta handled relaying her nature as a clone, and maybe feeling a little smug that my headcanon that those flashes of Eri's memories of the Vanadis Incident really were a full memory share between the two. And of course, Suletta understanding that there is probably no reasoning with Prospera, but no unnecessary angst beyond that. I like it, it's refreshing. Also hot damn, we've been theorizing about a "Caliban" Gundam for months and this is not what any of us expected but I'm not complaining; it really is thematically appropriate that Prospera's creation would be piloting the machine named after Prospero's servant.

Now to the real spectacle of the episode: The Space Assembly League charging headfirst into something they should know could not possibly end well. To paraphrase what I've been saying about Quiet Zero ever since episode 16; "You may have your guns, but I control all the triggers". You literally cannot fight against it with any conventional weapon. The only way to fight against the QZ Data Storm network is with a Gundam of your own, and Sophie Pulone showed us exactly why even that is a toss-up. The more I think about it, the more I feel we're building up to a reveal that Suletta may have actually inherited her sister's affinity to the Data Storm, it just might need a little push to fully manifest.

Miorine really cannot catch a break here. She may be President, but that pales in comparison to the world falling apart around her. Quinharbor is in ruins. Her father is still in a coma. The League has popular support to dismantle the Group by force. It's really telling that Sarius is the one telling her "Look, I'll take the L on this, you keep the Group together" but she completely refuses to sacrifice anyone else, one of my favorite tropes when done well. It'll be interesting to see what her next move is.

Ah, Elan Ceres Number 5. Curious as to how he went from Ur's cockpit to sneaking around Asticassia but that's neither here nor there; he's finally given up the act (and genuinely apologized to Suletta, that was good) and is joining up with the heroes for the final act, which I appreciate. He says "no Gundam" which does pique my curiosity as to how he's going to contribute - Enhanced Persons are no doubt chosen by the Peil AI for piloting skill, so I doubt that he won't be piloting period - but I do get the distinct feeling that he's going to pay the CEOs and Elan Prime a visit...with bullets.

Welp, guess we know who's piloting the Schwarzette whenever that comes up now; Lauda about to follow in the infamous footsteps of one "Graze" Ein Dalton. I do kinda hope that someone can snap him out of it before it's too late; most likely candidate is probably Petra if she can wake up soon, given that A) He's definitely going to try and kill Miorine, so that knocks her out, B) there's no way he's going to listen to Guel after learning he's the one who killed Vim (even if it was by accident in self-defense), and C) Suletta is still the "Mercurian Wench who ruined everything" in his eyes. If he can't be reasoned with, Guel's probably going to have to kill him, I'll put my chips on that.

gonna infodump about the lawmane kids now!!

So, I decided that there are 3 kids living, and one deceased. they all have Misa’s last name, and their names are [in birth order] Saeko Amane, Keiko Amane, and Loe Amane. Mind you, they’re all teenagers.

Saeko and Keiko are twins, born like an hour apart.

Saeko is the eldest Amane child, and he is also the one he resembles his father the most. He has a similar facial structure to his father, as well as his father’s pale complexion and black hair. He has his mother’s blue eyes, and his dress style is more similar to his mother’s rather than his father’s. He was born deaf, but he has hearing aids now. He knows sign language as well. He’s definitely the smartest of the Amane children, and he spends the majority of his time goofing off rather than doing schoolwork. It comes natural to him anyway, so he doesn’t need to study. Another trait he received from his father is that same protective nature, he’s very protective over his family. He also looks up to his father a lot, and he wants to work in forensics when he’s older.

Keiko is the second eldest, again only younger than Saeko by a little less than an hour. She’s trans [MtF] and her family is very accepting. She’s a little less bright, more similar to Misa in terms of intellect, but L and Saeko are very willing to tutor her. She’s very androgynous looking, with chin length blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a more alt-ish dress style, regularly wearing band tees and stuff like that. She’s also freckly and actually really pretty [🤭], but if you tell her she won’t believe you. Her relationship with Loe is much better than her relationship with Saeko. Keiko aims to be a lyricist when she’s older.

Loe is the youngest kid, and the one who resembles Misa the most closely. Pretty, popular, and preppy. She’s alright in terms of smarts and intellect, and she definitely resembles Misa more than L in terms of intellect. She’s a bit mean, and very intimidating, she just can’t communicate very well. She has a better relationship with her mother than her father [and so do her siblings]. She really likes toxicology and is probably secretly raising Foxglove in her room. She has a pretty singing voice, and she’s a nice actress as well, so she would make BANK a model like Misa, but she’s just more interested in studying toxicology. She’s probably one of those high school “mean girls”, well, she’s perceived as one, but she isn’t really one. She has a better relationship with Keiko than Saeko, the reason being that both Keiko and Loe envy Saeko and feel that their parents favor Saeko.

L is also a bit of a crappy father, sorry. He’s just at work all the time and never around to spend time with his wife and kids. But, on the occasion that he does get a break, he makes SURE to make it up to them. His does favor Saeko internally, but he feels horrible about it and he tries not to let it show. He just always wanted a kid that was just like him, and Saeko was like that for him.

Also, for the aforementioned deceased Amane child, there was one kid that ending up dying either when they were a few months old or due to Misa having a miscarriage. I haven’t decided on their name or the circumstances of their death yet, but it’s big angst fuel because “G--d-mnit, L, why couldn’t you have been home when it happened?!”

I just really need to write a fic in the Happily Ever After AU where Misa and L get married and have these kids. It would be quite cute, actually. If you have any ideas for these kids, tell me!!

i’m so glad that you acknowledged that L wouldn’t be a good parent because he 100% would NOT be. he dedicates so much time to his work and barely even gave thought to his successors, so he’d probably prioritize cases and work over everything else. however, he’d still try and make it up to them, you’re right.

i’ve always headcanoned misa as having her whole life planned out since she was a little girl. she had her wedding planned, her kids’ names, her job, her husband, everything. so when it comes to the miscarriage and all of the little imperfections in her family, she kind of struggles with not being able to live a perfect happily ever after like she wanted, but it’s as close as she’s getting.

i immediately took an interest in L and saeko’s dynamic. L having a mini-him running around would give him some sense of pride, although a bit uncanny at first *cough cough* beyond. saeko's super perceptive, so he definitely notices his dad's subtle favoritism and tries to shift his dad's favor to his siblings, which barely works. he'd probably feel some guilt over being, essentially, the only child his dad really gave a second thought in his eyes. you and i both know that would 100% not be L's intention, but it would come off that way to the kids.

i don't have much to say about keiko and loe imma be honest. they seem like they'd be pretty close, like you mentioned. i can imagine misa taking them out shopping and/or going out to places while L watched over saeko.

OC prompts!!! for both personality traits and whole ocs!!! trying not to stray too far into any specific genre bc i am a fantasy bitch, so adapt the prompts however you want (or don't use them at all! see how they sit with you):

An OC who hasn't ever been outside in their whole life for whatever reason, is completely out-of-touch with the world, and sees it as beautiful or horrifying.

An OC who knows how and when every person they meet will die. They're so used to death and being aware of when their loved ones will die that they've grown numb to it. But, they never know when or how they die - or if - and that and the guilt of being so detached haunts them.

Two OCs who absolutely hate each other but are forced to live together/share a body/work closely together. There's no tragic background or enemies to lovers stuff (unless you want that) - they just have personalities that clash horribly and both are incredibly petty. But they're stuck together for however long and are fed up, so cue pranks and mild inconveniencing. Maybe there's another OC sat on the sidelines who's on neutral ground and given up, or takes photos.

An OC who is a ball of stress and is terrified of their own voice, but the instant something scary does happen, they are the most calm and 'wow this is happening. oh well' type of people.

An OC who is used to having control (eg. is rich/bossy/influential, a hypnotist/boss/god, etc.) and if their authority is taken away, they don't know what to do to the extent of freezing up. Potential for angst if they like the control they have due to past trauma or fear of something going wrong.

An OC physically incapable of doing something essential to survival from a curse or a species trait, but still lives without (eg. can't sleep, drink, eat, etc.) and is constantly grouchy, foggy, or in pain but tries to cover it up (or doesn't).

An OC who keeps accidentally befriending or adopting people who are very very very traumatised and has become the Group Therapist (TM). They are also very very very traumatised, and are sometimes treated to their own therapy by their group - but they're so used to helping the group that they don't feel they really need it because they should be above it.

An OC who has the most niche, unheard-of, possibly problematic special interest you'll ever find and is obsessed with it, but tries to hold back infodumps. And an OC who loves indulging them and listening to them about it.

An OC who owns a cat café. That's it. That's the prompt. :3

🪰 what is the worst thing this character has witnessed but not experienced?

- Watching her cousin, Aman, recovering through his auto-prosthetics surgery, which set up his pervious system to hook up to prosthetics. She visited him in the hospital a lot, talking a lot to him about how excited she was that he could join her for the next Naranja-Uva treasure hunt instead of being stuck in his wheelchair that she and Rawst had tried to push around Paldea. She was also there holding his hand when the prosthetics were finally attached, which she felt bad for how much it seems to hurt him to do. Pecha always felt like it wasn’t fair that Aman had to go through all of it just so he could travel unencumbered.

🦤are they particularly smart in any way? how so, or not?

- Bugs. Incredibly smart about bugs. Very Laios from Dungeon Meshi coded about bugs. She could talk your ear off about bugs and she knows what to do about any situation with bugs.

- She’s kinda a jack of all trades with any other knowledge? She’ll retain the randomest of info on anything and it’s really a wild guess on what she knows. She very much picked up these facts from friends and loved ones that she listened as they infodump on their own interest so she retained some of the info but not all.

You: “and what region is it in?”

Pecha: “uhhhhhhh…Galar?”

🪓 would they make it to the end in a horror movie?

- She’s either “Final Girl” or “Dead Meat” (person who dies at the beginning of the movie for plot growth or to show the existence of the threat) She’s like the Barb from Stranger Things who’s a nice and decent person but dies for the sake of “why must the good die young” angst.

- Whichever one she is, she definitely does the “girl runs and falls” trope

Pecha: “A girl, I think? Honestly, I haven’t really thought about my gender. Maybe if it’s one of those specific gender things, then whatever vibes a female shiny heracross gives off is me!”
