Could I get a kin match up with Danganronpa, Demon Slayer and Saiki K.?

- I’m fun and one of the loudest people in my friend group, but outside of it my usual quiet. I’m not shy or anything, I just don’t have anything to say to them… actually I get kind of nervous when I speak to outside people because I’m scared I’ll go on a big talking spree.

- I guess going back to the talking spree, I love talking about my interest!! Not in a rude way or anything, I just need someone to talk about the shows I’m watching or about movies. It could be anything from character development and designs to movie lighting or how they built up one scene in an amazing way!

- I hate texting because I write at least two small paragraphs as a response. Why is this bad? Well I get anxious whenever people type back with one 3-4 words as a response to me because I think I weirded them out.

- I have a crying problem. Anything could set me off. I gotten better at holding it together, but it’s still nothing special. It’s been happening since I was young, at the time being the worst. I finally snapped in year 4 where I just didn’t give a bloody damn about anyone outside what I considered my friend group, that’s the year I remember I didn’t cry that much.

- Okay more lighter notes, I love to write and take lead in different situations (where I most need to, I don’t do it most of the time). I also love drawing!

- Idk if this is needed, but my type has always been brown hair/brown eyes idiot. But I have some exceptions.

- I really love swimming! I hate doing it competitively, but I don’t mind doing a couple laps. Fave is mix between backstroke, freestyle and butterfly. I can’t do breaststroke for the god damn life of me.

- I’m not mean in anyway, but because it’s common in my family I tend to say some things on accident that could someone’s feelings. But overall I’m known as a kind person. I get along with most people (boys and girls and other) and I’m considered a friend in each of those friend groups.

I guess I could also say I say sorry a lot… like if I drop something I was carrying I would say sorry, but I’ve said sorry to some of my friends if they drop something that I was no where near.) Aoi Asahina and Mahiru Koizumi from Danganronpa, Zenitsu from demon slayer, and Kaido from Saiki K., all for a kin matchup!

I chose Zenitsu and Kaido both for very similar reasons. They are both very nice, very dorky boys who give me the same warm, maybe a little anxious, but genuinely super sweet vibe that you are giving me. Both the boys here are more sensitive in their shows than other characters, and they cry a bit (Zenitsu especially), but they are really just very lovable. They are very loud and considerate with their friends, but aren’t the best when with meeting new people which I think fits how you are quiet around them. Kaido also reminds me a lot of you when it comes to rambling about interests with friends, not in a rude way at all though as it’s more so just excitement and wanting to share it with others. Both the guys here just genuinely have really big hearts and are very dorky and sensitive (in a good way btw, I mostly use this term in a positive connotation), which I personally love about them and seems like something you could relate too.

I chose Aoi not only for the fact that she is a swimmer, I swear lol. But that was part of it, her love for swimming, but you would be less competitive than her. However, Aoi is also very fitting to how you described yourself in the beginning, she is a very loud and fun person with her friends who loves to ramble about what she is interested in (whether it’s sports, doughnuts, Sakura etc.) she can also take the lead in certain situations, and would probably hate when people respond to texts with only 4ish words seeing how she would be like you and write paragraphs. She is also very much a people person and gets along with both boys and girls thanks to her kindness, which fits you :)

I chose Mahiru because although she is less extroverted than Aoi, she still is very kind and is always trying to be considerate of others. She also seems like the type to be fun and maybe a little bit loud with friends, but is quiet outside of them like you because she doesn’t have much to talk about with others. She would definitely ramble about photography and other arts as well! Moreover, she is the type who might not be the leader of the group, but she definitely steps in to lead at times. Also, seeing how she loves photography, it can be assumed that she appreciates the arts so she could very well be into drawing and writing as well. Out of all the people here, she is the most likely to also say something on accident that could hurt someone’s feelings, but it is never in a malicious way, more so it’s likely to be her trying to give them advice because she cares. Oh, and as for your type, everyone who I have seen so far who loves Mahiru either ships her with Hiyoko or Hajime, and Hajime almost fits your type perfectly minus his eyes so there is that as well :)

Honorary matchup with Mikan Tsukimi, who cries quite a bit but is genuinely such a sweetheart and is comfortable talking about things associated with her talent. :)

I try to have more cereal generally but I just chuck milk in randomly and if it ends up being more then it ends up being more 🤷‍♀️

I generally just use an actual bookmark, but some things I've used in a pinch are: receipts, a pen, sunglasses, some mail, another book, debit card, a hairband, my purse

4: how do you take your coffee/tea?

I don't drink coffee and I just have a teaspoon or 2 of sugar in my tea

7: do you name your plants?

Yep, I have 2 in my room called Ellie and Nyah. I even named their pots because they're cute and shaped like a sheep and a hippo! The pots are called Pippa and Mimi and they're girlfriends

8: what artistic medium do you use to express your feelings?

Generally writing I guess. I do a lot of painting/drawing too but that's less feeling expression and more just fun.

Yep, and I'm probably very annoying to share space with because I do it a lot

On my side and I have to switch like every 10 minutes when I'm trying to sleep or I get uncomfortable

In our solar system, Pluto because fuck science, it's a planet! Other than that there's a planet I can't remember the name of that, because of rotation speeds, always has the same side facing the sun so like most of the planet is uninhabitable except a thin strip on either side between the two

The pup. Also I was helping my mum make masks and I completely fucked up and it was really funny

Ngl it would be a mess. Also probably covered in books and art stuff and it'd probably be light and airy with lots of plants and cute pastel colours

Oh where to begin! Okay so for one NASA had to design a special pen for use in space because due to the lack of gravity, normal pens don't work. Any liquid in space will form itself into a sphere due to surface tension. Sunsets on Mars are blue. There's a planet where it's constantly raining glass sideways because wind speeds are so high. There's a (I think) dwarf planet in our solar system that they nicknamed The Goblin. Planet 9 is something we can observe exists but no one can find it and it might not be a planet at all. It could be a black hole or something. The moon is slowly drifting away. I'm gonna stop here but I could go on for ages.

Kinda want it pastel pink or purple again but also really wanna dye it like a deep turquoise colour

They have short brown hair and give some of the best hugs. They're a couple inches taller than me and will not let me forget it. I'm generally not the biggest fan of cities but I actually really loved living in Nottingham. It was super developed and you had like everything you could need and want there but also really kept its historic feel and it never felt so overcrowded like places like London do and idk, it was just a really nice place to live

95: what are your plans for this weekend?

I don't really have any in particular. Probably do some more art and writing and stuff but idk really

100: if you were presented with two buttons, one that allows you to go 5 years into the past, the other 5 years into the future, which one would you press? why?

I usually pick future no question but like I'm a little concerned as to what such a near future will actually look like. Maybe the past so I can redo some stuff and make a few better life decisions and get help for my mental health sooner and also maybe find a way to do something to prevent some of the awful things happening right now

The DGC Anime, Part 1

So let’s figure out what DGC would be like as an anime.

(Cut because it’s PRETTY LONG)

Basics:

The theme/opener would be a narration (think Avatar: The Last Airbender) explaining how the Sundering happened and the Patryns and Sartan hate each other. As each world is mentioned, you see  images associated with them.

       Arianus: a dragon-ship, the Kicksey-winsey, and maybe the High Realms?

     Pryan: lots of greenery (with a dragon or two blending into the background), the citadels, a tytan

     Abarrach: a corpse that doesn’t look like a corpse (so it’s fresh) but has a creepy phantasm behind it (also you can’t see the Sartan hair, so I guess it’s bald?), the Fire Sea, Kairn Necros

     Chelestra: an iceberg with… something… inside it… and the iceberg gets a little smaller each episode until all you see are red red eyes…. Surunan, maybe just a shot of the ocean?

Nexus: spires and pretty forests and stuff

Labyrinth: the River of Anger, the Final Gate, lots and lots of bones (possibly being gnawed on by horrifying monsters)

Vortex: idk, a big room, I guess?

Someone would have to figure out Sartan and Patryn runes so that the spells make sense. I do not envy this person.

Character designs are important. Each world and race has a slightly different style. I like to think that Patryns in the Labyrinth wear things like furs, leathers, and low-quality cloth in colors that help them blend into the background. Geg fashion is inspired by the 1800s and early 1900s, aka the Age of the Factory. The Kenkari need to look like butterflies. Humans on Chelestra can be kind of Polynesian-inspired.

Haplo: It’s apparently traditional to garb the hero/protagonist in red and blue, so let’s start him out in a very dark navy shirt and the most blend-in-everywhere brown pants imaginable. And bandages, of course. As the series progresses, he gets to wear lighter blues and maybe a bit of red. If he stays in an elemental world a long time, he keeps his basic color scheme but starts dressing like a human of that place to better blend in… until he gives up pretending he’s not a Patryn, that is. (It would be kind of funny to give him a trace of jailbird orange because he ends up in so many prisons, but I somehow can’t really imagine him in something like that.)

Alfred: He canonically has a pretty dumb, fancy outfit, but I can work with that. It’s purple, but the shirt beneath his coat is off-white. White is the color most associated with the Sartan, but Alfred is a bit, well, off for a Sartan (Zifnab might have a different shade of off-white in his design too). As the series progresses, he loses his frills and stuff so that he looks a bit more influenced by Sartan and/or Patryn styles. Also, it is very important to me that his eyes are the exact same shade of blue as rune-magic/Patryn tattoos to symbolize that 1) he has rune-magic, 2) is in fact obscenely powerful, and 3) has an affinity with the Patryns.

Hugh: Does not wear black because that’s the Kir color. He could also potentially wear dark blue at first because he’s the decoy protagonist. After his resurrection, maybe he could wear very dark purple to symbolize how Alfred has negatively affected him.

Bane: He needs to look nothing at all like the king and queen. 

Marit: In flashbacks, she and Haplo wear typical Patryn garb. In the present, she’s kept the colors and general style, but the quality of her clothes is nicer. Less fur, more fabric. Practical hairstyle. I know it’s long on the one canon picture we have of her (though you could argue that cover art isn’t particularly canon), but maybe short or just shoulder-length? Also weapons.

There are only six seasons. We skip over Elven Star almost entirely. On Abarrach, when Alfred asks Haplo if he found any Sartan on Pryan, Haplo gives like a three-sentence summary of important things we need to know, adds that it was awful and Alfred should be glad he didn’t have to suffer through it, and then we move onto the good stuff. There can be a few more flashbacks when Xar visits the citadel to explain anything more.

Footnotes can be those little pause-things where chibi versions of the characters explain stuff. I don’t know what they’re called. However, we shouldn’t need footnotes about timekeeping because let’s just pretend that everyone uses days and years to avoid confusion, okay? Because the canonical timekeeping systems just confused me.

Oh wow, what an excellent surprise! These are some really cool thoughts, allow me to add some of my own!

Theme/opener: I like the idea of the first opener being a narration/backstory kinda thing, but I have to also hold out for that classic Anime OP packed with symbolism and showcasing the characters fighting and junk. So gotta have some of those types of openings after the first hypothetical season.

Character designs: I really really did the Geg’s fashion/society being based off Industrial Revolution kinda stuff. Another route you could go is more steampunkish (and you’d have precedent, considering how the video game portrays Drevlin– not that you really want to use the video game for anything, but you feel me, lol) but that’s already kinda based on that time period anyway, so *shrug*

Haplo: iirc Haplo’s usually wearing a white shirt with brown pants and a vest, but heck, man, this is an anime, and more complicated costumes are kind of par for the course. Red-and-blue is a fitting color scheme, certainly.

Alfred: Here’s where anime’s proud tradition of ridiculous outfits can truly shine. Make me proud. Canon-wise he literally spends the whole series in that outfit, and I think it would be kinda funny to reflect that by having him wear the exact same coat all the time but in different colors, to suggest that he’s using the exact same pattern every single time. I think no matter what happens with the rest of his outfit, the coat’s probably staying. He just likes it a lot, okay??

Hugh: I like the idea of dressing Hugh up as a decoy protagonist, very appropriate. To me, his outfit is less important than what his hair’s doing, honestly, lol. He’s got a beard with a braid in it!! That’s cool!! And in the fifth book/season, when he’s depressed, he would look really sloppy and not taking care of himself.

Marit: LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE ONE IMAGE WE HAVE OF HER, FIGHT ME, IN WHAT WORLD IS CHESTNUT HAIR BLONDE ANYWAY???? But yeah, pretty much what you said :P

Skipping Elven Star: Interesting idea. I mean, sucks if you happen to like that book, but I’M not going to argue with that, certainly, and it definitely seems like it’d be possible to do… You’d miss out on a lot of the setup, and you’d have to rearrange some things, especially concerning Zifnab, which could get messy, but I definitely think you could do it effectively. 

(Relevant addition to this conversation: Hand of Chaos feels like the kind of season you get when the animators are waiting for the manga to get ahead so they make a filler arc. Except it’s not quite a pure filler arc. But it’s disjointed enough from the rest of the series to kind of feel that way. You get me?)
