" I always wondered why the doorman compared me and my brother to these band members.. uhh Joey Jordinson and Paul Gray I think ? Took a while before I was met with the real deal on photo. I kind of see it. I don't understand even now how a human in the 1950s knew of a band that would exist in 40 years time "

Joey Jordinson has been on my mind a lot more than normal lately. We will never fully know what happened in the years he were let go from Slipknot, and the weeks leading up to his death, but he went through hell and back with his illness. I can't stop thinking about him and feeling really bad for him.

Sinsaenum - Repulsion of Humanity
Tracklist:
Repulsion For Humanity
Final Resolve
Sworn to Hell
I Stand Alone
Rise of the Light Bearer
Manifestation of Ignorance
Sacred Martyr
My Swan Song
Nuit Noire
Insects
Foresaken
So this is the collaborative death metal power of Ex-Slipknot drummer Joey Jordinson, Dragonforce’s Federic along with members of Daath and Mayhem. That right there is an all star cast that have come together to start a new death metal group so on paper we’re off to a great start already. The first EP I got hold of was Ashes from last year and it really failed to leave any sort of lasting impression on me I just thought it was “alright”. After this I went on a bit of a break from doing reviews so I never really got around to Echoes of the Tortured which means I’m given them a second chance here with their second full length studio album.
First off, from the get go I can see that this stuff is definitely far superior to what I was introduced to last year, so me saying that I think they needed time to really grow as a group and come together properly seems to have been the case. “Final Resolve” is slow and methodical, all the changes and twists and turns are all inclusive of the themes and tones of which are necessary to provide a gritty track, the way in which they rejuvenate a track mid way through with different techniques both subtle and bold are something that I would expect from the collective brains involved. In all the tracks even the title track “Repulsion for Humanity” even the guitar solos capture the menacing vibes the rest of the tracks layout, they’ve come forward knowing exactly who they want to be this time around. There’s actually distinguishable features between the tracks whether they’re slow and methodical like “I Stand Alone”, long and eerie like “Manifestation of Ignorance” or flat out aggressive like “Insects” there's a lot of variety of style and character given to the tracks.
I have effectively done a 180 degree turn and am not all aboard the Sinsaenum train, I really enjoyed this album they’ve really come together as a group and all the different styles and musical backgrounds have really come together to put out something glorious.
