A Rose in Winter has become a beast that I can no longer contain. I finally got the lesbians to make up, but now the problem is that they’re too in love with each other to move the story along at a decent pace to the next conflict because they just woke up next to each other for the first time and won’t stop talking about how much they love each other.

Get your asses out of bed, you useless lesbians, it’s time for you to get banished from the castle because one of you decided to wear dresses.

#personal junk #fantasy gays #i keep saying the working title is a rose in winter but i keep calling it the kingdom of caileagh because the file name is caileagh #these stupid lesbians cant contain themselves even though theyre basically married already #this is basically the last big obstacle before the story is finished and i close the doc forever #theyll get kicked out of the castle and will go to maellas sisters manor for some time and just be domestic wives #because maellas whole thing is 'if you want your prince back then youll accept her as a woman or you will have no heirs'#because my baby finally grew a backbone and all it took was one night of passionate sex with her wife and a lot of crying #maella cries a lot about a lot of things because shes very sensitive meanwhile her wife doesnt give a fuck about niceties #which is ironic because she was brought over to marry her because women from the north were said to be very pretty and docile #but edda grew up with two older brothers and free reign to do as she pleased so shes kind of a monster #she and maellas sisters are going to get on very well and i cant wait for these useless gays to just relax and be happy together #theyll have all of summer to just be themselves before the king finds her and begs her back because hes not willing to lose his heir #and he did a lot of soul searching to try and understand her and while he doesnt really get it his character arc is growing more tender #and realizing that he spent so long hoping for a son that he neglected his daughters and he regrets it deeply #because at the end of the day hes happy to have i think its three or four daughters #and he would give up his entire kingdom if it meant that he could have his family back because war means nothing #when theres nothing to return to #and the story ends with maella and eddas wedding ceremony and an overall hopeful outlook for the attitude about women in caileagh #post story is that their crimes catch up with them and edda is the only survivor and returns to her snowy home #telling the story of caileagh and its woman king that she loved so dearly #the point is that caileagh was never a good place and while the people in it loved it the attitude about expansion was rotten #it falls under maellas rule because she refuses to keep up the campaign and wants only an era of peace for her people #however its that attitude that allows her kingdom to be burned to the ground #idk i think i might have edda carry an heir back to her original kingdom so that it can live on #because while i love maella she herself as a character cant really survive in the world her people have created #i think its a good death for her to follow her word and refuse to leave her people even when everything is being burned #but she still has enough sense to send her wife away to live on because she never belonged to caileagh and shouldnt fall with it #sins of the father and all that jazz
