Another divine twitch chat Au? Another divine twitch chat Au. With a bit of a twist.

Billy would like to say it is in fact not his fault. It’s really not. Who hits someone with magic they obviously don’t know how to use? Well okay maybe he had done that before, but it’s not like he ever did it around other people where they could get hit!

But someone was an idiot and now he’s here, as his normal ten-year old self kicking his legs while sitting in the Watchtower as the others argued. Apparently the League thinks he’s been de-aged, which is good as his secret isn’t out.

The uh, issue is that something about the spell might have um, partially manifested the gods- or as he called them the Mediterranean Magic Men, if only because of how annoyed it made Zeus. Now everyone can see the chat that’s usually only visible to him and apparently it’s concerning.

He doesn’t see how it’s an issue, Zeus has been silenced for the next hour and Hercules has been dying of laughter for the last three. Oh, wait, it might be from Mercury’s constant attempted flirting with Flash. …Or the fact they’re trying to convince him to commit a crime and he’s honestly down for doing so seeing as he’s a homeless ten year old who is down for getting clairvoyance and super speed for the next thirty minutes in exchange…

funniest answer for "what happened during Jason's fight with Krios" is, rather than Jason having a physical one-on-one unarmed fight with Krios, Jason just tears Krios a new one re: legislation by chewing him out for unauthorized activity in a state park. Because one of Jupiter's big aspects is law!

Jason sends the entirety of the Titan Army forces in California marching out of Mt. Tam State Park with their tails between their legs with one strongly worded argument and some threats to inform San Francisco Fish & Wildlife. And he gets made praetor for it.

Secrets of the Obscure is alright and all but am I the only one kinda miffed that they ripped off a lot of it from Dragon Age: Inquisition and didn't really add or change enough to be it's own unique thing?

even the rift hunting mechanic is Exactly The Same, because you Open the rift, then fight something then close it. the animation is almost 1-1 and even the eye in the rift looks like the Inquisition eye. if it wasn't for the fact that Even The Mechanic is the same I might not have noticed it so much, but the more I play the more blatant it feels

and then their wizard lore also just feels like how demons come out of the Fade in Dragon Age to possess mages. it's almost exact

disclaimer that I'm still enjoying it because it's fun and I like that we get to see Zojja again and have a better map for practicing skyscales for those who don't have one yet, but uh...this whole plot was stolen!

and yes I know there are certain fantasy tropes that re-occur in fantasy over and over, but this doesn't feel like that. it feels like the writers legit just snapped the base ideas from DAI and then barely added or changed anything to make it uniquely Guild Wars

imo it's definitely the weakest of all the packs

which is a shame because I LOVEDDDDD the intro. the whole sequence of having to defend yourself and run for your life was so ridiculously tense, I really felt like I was playing a horror game

but now I'm on Ep. 7 and all the potential feels wasted because I feel like I'm playing the underwritten fanfiction of another game that I already played 10 years ago and didn't like that much the first time

Sometimes I like to think about the possibility of Arthur and Mordred having a sort of temporary immortality, as in nothing could kill them until they killed each other

That was how the Triple Goddess decreed it after all. Only the Disir could have changed it, only they could have killed Mordred to save Arthur.

And if you think about it, all that Arthur is saved from, all that Mordred escapes, I do believe in the webs of fate that they couldn't die. There was a path they had to complete, too bound to die in any other way.

Before they were born they had a set death. It's right there in the writings of the Catha, hundreds of years beforehand.

So it only makes sense that they could not die until that day came.

#maybe they're with a friend for a nice walk in the autumn sun #the air still warm but the wind being a bit chilly #telling tales of the cold days to come #the exact weather where you can easily catch a chill from being dressed a bit too lightly #giving the sun a bit too much credit #as it's shining through yellow leaves #and the kind of wet heavy mist that isn't rain #but leaves a layer of sticky wetness to your cloths and skin #and they're good almost healthy again #but the cold wind is taking a toll on their sensitive nose #making them sneeze suddenly and unexpectedly #and they groan heavily #hunched over ever so slightly #their friend turning around to face them as they had to stop walking for a second #to not stumble over their own feet

every so often I discover new things I'm unhappy with about the Sandman adaptation and each one is pettier than the last

what do you MEAN the word battle is between Dream and Lucifer? no it's NOT. it's between Dream and Choronzon who's acting on Beelzebub's behalf it's about the petty politics of Hell which is in large part what Lucifer finds so tiresome.

#red said #i need to block the sandman tag i just have such a hateon for this show #that i have not and will not watch #even for understandable adaptional decisions!#like it's a LOT of story and not all of it is intuitive and i understand the need to simplify it and pare down the cast #it's entirely fair to say whittle out the triumvirate which frankly doesn't play THAT much part in the story #but also if you're not introducing Choronzon and Beelzebub here it does require shifting a big chunk of the endgame story of Seasons of Mist #cause who. is he bargaining with from hell who has a grudge against him. if the person he's clashed with in hell is Lucifer #who's the one giving up the key and initiating the plot #see this is why. you shouldn't adapt the story you should leave it alone :(#it's a story that is DESIGNED for the language and reading style of comics!!!!!!!!!!!#the visuals don't work onscreen cause the imagery is about panel to panel juxtaposition!!!!!#the plot doesn't work onscreen because the comic is reliant on the reader's expectation that they're reading part of an established world #cause it's marketed to superhero comics fans! so it can make broad gestures towards how the world works and expect you to extrapolate!#but tv and film don't work like that! we expect to have things much more fully explained in screen media!#even now that extended universe screen media is popular it still isn't the norm #it's not the foundation of the narrative language of film and tv the way it is with comics #tv already has less space than comics to tell the same story because it's timebound in a way comics are #it can't montage through scenes as fast or make as many jumps shot to shot as comics cause that would be overwhelming and confusing #and then WITHIN that if you have to stop and explain who people are you HAVE to shrink the cast #TV stories just don't have space for the kinds of huge-cast complex-interwoven-plot storytelling that comics do #especially if they want to have ANY time at ALL for slower character moments #so you gotta cut stuff down #like yeah your average floppy is what. 32 pages including covers and ads?#and your average episode of TV is 30-60 minutes #but a) that script is probably not much longer than the finished comic #and b) it needs to be way more focused because as i say comics language let's you jump around #in a way that screen language doesn't #you can't do the two important lines from a conversation then move onto the next thing #it feels jarring and rushed in film

Got bored and started thinking of some names for Pokemon Black and White remakes and these three were the ones I liked the most and I think are genuinely possible as potential official titles:

Bright White/Deep Black

Mist White/Haze Black

Ember White/Static Black

#pokemon #pokemon black and white #idc about the quality of bdsp #i want pokemon b/w remakes #i think the last names are pretty simple to understand #the first ones might SEEM simple but there's a lot more meaning behind them #and the middle might seem totally random but i promise they're not #mist/haze are a nod to the balance between urban and nature #since there's a lot of that going on in the games #mist is mostly natural forming from water droplets (not always)#and haze is mostly from man-made air pollution (again not always)#also mist and haze are “gray” so a nod to kyurem too

Seeing the crit of the pjo show makes me a little glad that I haven't watched it but I do know eventually I want to give it a chance. What mainly worries me is the pacing tbh and some of the important details that Rick claimed "doesn't matter" like them missing the summer solstice deadline. No hate AT ALL to the actors just everything on the technical side is what's causing me and other people to side eye the series

Working more on the local group of Synchronized Light and hoo boy. There's smth wrong with these guys.

#rat rambles #oc posting #rain posting #theyre mostly a different flavor of messed up than my other guys as theyre all like family drama messed up #these guys are not family except for the obvious two they're just all either the worst or going thru it #oh also the girlfired of my ancient girl is a part of the group and they have a name now theyre twisted orbit 👍#orbit has gotten the pleasure of not just having an upsetting backstory but also an upsetting present due to one of her neighbors #and funnily enough its not synchronized light she basically never interacts with those two #instead its the circles second most fucked up lil guy named putity preserved #he is an absolute ass and has been absolutely obsessed with the idea of being the one to find the tripple affirmative for ages #back when the ancients were around he managed to convince his city's council to allow him to experiment on prisioners and after the mass #ascension he has continued to experiment on the various lifeforms he can get his hands on #for most of the time before the mass ascension orbit wasnt particularly invested in solving the great problem so he didn't pay her much #mind but after a certain incident where she broke down and had her memoried shifted through and selectively romoved he started to pay more #attention to her even though for the first while up until the mass ascension she mostly just seemed hollow #eventually after the mass ascension they seemingly suddenly gained an immense interest in solving the great problem #and that was when purity reached out offering to work with them on the project #at first orbit was unwilling but after the sliver incident they seemed a lot more willing to hear him out #which was perfect news for him because the sliver invident made him Furious and he was desperate for a way to revise history #and thankfully orbit's motivation for solving the great problem was exactly what he had been hoping for.#then theres the other two members of the local group endless grains of sand and deep coated mist who are the old ladies of the group #and theyre like old old they were some of the first iterators constructed and it shows #mist especially as her structure is both much larger than a modern iterator and also way less efficient and with much higher steam output #the quirk of this local group is that they all sorta use the same water that's rotated through them all #sand being located by the ocean and mist being located far away on the peak of a huge mountain being the connecting points of the loop #sand fiters a bunch of the water and sends the excess upwards towards a variety of water resavoirs and also mist #mist then slurps up a shit ton of it and outputs a shit ton of steam which condenses to water and flows downwards through the mountainous #area she's perched atop from #this water then forms a series of rivers and lakes downwards through the other 3 and since they require way less water than her theyre able #to all safely recycle mist's outputted water
