act iii: final notes

AHHHHHHHHHHHH I FINISHED MY FIRST FULL LENGTH FIC HOLD ON LEMME JUST THROW UP IN THE CORNER REAL QUICK

i am sooooooo normal rn anyways let's get into it thank u for having me on the show, mr. kimmel. i've had a raging headache all day so the content underneath each sections will be kinda short. i'll go through and add more to it once i recover but i wanted to get this up before the week got too busy!

krolia

guys…. im so sorry for the angst….. it was necessary for the plot…….

maybe it’s just me projecting but in the actual show, i kind of wish we had seen more of the emotional fallout that occurred after krolia revealed that she was keith’s mom. because let’s be real here, there’s no way that keith’s traumatized ass would just willingly accept her back into his life. he’d have questions. he’d be in disbelief. it’s hard for him to open up to others and he carries a lot of hurt from being abandoned.

it was crucial in the course of this fic to have that confrontation between krolia and keith. it's not always going to be rainbows and sunshine, and even though they both missed each other deeply, you don't just automatically connect and forget everything that's happened. even if keith hadn't gone into the foster system, he definitely would have carried a lot of anger and hurt towards krolia when she shows back up. i'm sure that things won't just be smooth sailing and they'll need to hash things out multiple times as they rebuild their relationship but that first fight was a big hurdle to get over.

if you’re curious, i have a whooollleeee backstory for what happened with krolia and why she couldn’t get back to her kid. i couldn’t really fit it into the fic but i’ll put it right here for those who are interested:

2000: krolia in the US on student visa, first year of of PhD program

krolia meets heath and they fall in love

2003: krolia gives birth to keith

2008: krolia finishes grad school/PhD program/doctoral degree and applies for a work visa

2009: she and heath and baby keith are living their life but krolia’s parents find out and are like girl you need to come home NOW or we will disown you

krolia’s family are really wealthy and powerful

krolia: i’ll come back for you guys idk how but i will

krolia goes back to the states

2009-2011: she and heath write letters but then the letters start getting intercepted by the family and eventually peters out

krolia in arranged marriage and thinks her partner forgot about her or didn’t care

meanwhile heath doesn’t know what happened to krolia but can’t do anything about it bc she’s in a diff country and he doesn’t speak korean

2011: heath and keith move to texas for job or whatever

heath tells keith all about krolia and how she loves him but can’t be there and obvi that fucks keith up bc he misses his mom but where tf is she? how does he know she loves him if she’s not even there? he's a little kid

2013: heath dies and keith is put into the system

heath has no other family members

krolia put her english name on the birth certificate and so ofc she doesn’t exist in the US

texas social services try to reach out to krolia along with some friends but letters are intercepted

2016: someone reaches out to krolia after she finally gets facebook

friend: thinking of you. miss you. so sorry about heath

krolia: …. what the fuck about heath?

friend: uhhhhhhhh

krolia goes on rampage to her family like wtf u mean u didn’t tell me that the father of my child is dead

cousin shows up with the intercepted letters (official notice from social services, heath’s letters and pictures, keith’s little notes and drawings)

krolia starts the process of legally and financially emancipating herself from her family (she basically was Britney’d)

2017/2018: finally is free and able to get a job in the states

starts tracking down heath (they only had a forwarding address for krolia so they’re like wtf who is this bih)

at this point, keith has already met the shiroganes and changed his name

krolia is in a different state and can only do so much

spends the next few years trying to find him, hires P.I., again keep running into blocks bc social workers and case managers are NOT going to budge on giving up keith's personal information

2023, winter break: krolia reaches out to keith through facebook but it goes into his spam since they’re not facebook friends

allura

what better allegory for sacrificing yourself to save the universe is there than graduating college? in all fairness, i felt like sticking to the notion of allura saying goodbye and leaving the group had its merit, just y’know, i wanted to take a step down from the whole dying thing. i tried to pay homage to the canon material as much as possible while also providing my own spin on things.

one thing that’s been important to me is depicting allura as a college student. sure, while i think most iterations of allura as a kind and a great leader and intelligent are great, even in modern au fics, i just wish there had been a bit more... silliness? outside of her being like the girlboss, the hell yeah supporting character or love interest or bone-tired leader, i always wonder what she would have been like if she hadn't had to save the universe and was just trying to heal on her own terms. yeah, i nerfed her parents in this universe but i tried to showcase her doing normal college things as well, like presenting at research conferences, getting a bit messy drunk, having pizza nights and group hang outs. the funny thing about grief is that life does not stop for it, so you have to just figure things out along the way.

i also didn't want to elaborate too much on her relationship with lotor. she didn't magically heal from that one conversation with lance in chapter 8 but i wanted the readers to get a taste of what was going on in her head through their dialogue. plus, it was a little moment to show how she was allowing herself to open up to other people like lance. no one woman is an island, no matter how much of a bad b!tch you are.

🫧 also, i wanted to include it somewhere but basically, keith knew allura and romelle were hooking up since chapter 14! keith caught romelle sneaking out of allura's room early one morning and he just kept it to himself because snitches get stitches.

pidge

they are so precious to me. they're an amalgamation of 2 of my closest friends, and well, me.

i always knew that pidge was going to be a super important piece in klance development. while lance and keith are great friends, i think pidge played a crucial role in bridging them together in the beginning, before the two of them had cleared up their misunderstandings and made that truce. sure, allura asked them to be on the paintball team but pidge really forced the two of them into close quarters. lance might have extended the offer to keith to hand out without pidge or he might not have. honestly, i'm not really sure. but pidge inviting keith to hang out in chapter 4 was a quiet but big moment because both keith and lance are friends with pidge and will set aside their differences long enough to tolerate each other's presence in a shared space. pidge just has #babyofthefriendgroup privileges.

🫧 i honestly think that after the main two, pidge has undergone the most growth (physically and emotionally) throughout the fic, even though they're a supporting character. we can all benefit from community and friendship but i think pidge needed it a little bit more.

🫧 i partially wrote pidge to represent my younger self, especially when i first attended college. i was scared and alone and i had never been away from home and it was a struggle to form new relationships (and figure out my gender identity. mannnnnn fuck that). it was nice to see pidge find their place and niche among the greater social fabric of college, kind of like comforting my younger self for all the loneliness and uncertainty i endured.

hunk

i love hunk so dearly. ngl, i wanted him to have a bigger arc than he did but hopefully i did a decent job at making feel more well-rounded as a supporting character. i decided to actually kind of lean into this distance in the later chapters as well, esp from lance's pov, as they both got busier. at the end of the day, though, i knew that those two would come back together. hunk is a kind and sympathetic friend and his and lance's friendship will persevere because they're good communicators. their little talk in chapter 17 was me talking to myself and to anyone else who has went through a similar thing where they find themselves drifting a little farther from a friend.

people get busy and that's okay! there will be ebbs and flows in every relationship. even though shared history is a crucial part of a friendship but it can't be the only thing that will keep it going. you need to nurture it and tend to it in order for it to keep it alive and flourishing. hunk understands this and he and lance will be just fine after their talk. hunk is probably the most emotionally intelligent person after adam in the group, and i'm glad he was there to help both lance and keith out when they needed it.

adam

this man!!!!! got i have gotten so fucking attached to adam throughout this fic. he is so dear to me. i know in chapter 10 i wrote from adam's pov and he's a goofy guy in his twenties who's just trying to be a good dad friend but somehow he ended up being a voice of reason and comfort for klance in this fic. lance misses his family a lot and i think adam can not only relate to lance with the homesickness but also lance has started to rely on him a bit like he would with his siblings.

i wanted to try my own spin on adam and keith's relationship. i've seen fics where adam and keith hate each other, don't interact much, or adam takes on a parenting role towards keith as a kid. i wanted to look at keith and adam in the context of two people who both love shiro and then grow to be good friends/surrogate brother-in-law? idk. long story short, adam is very emotionally intelligent and i think he genuinely wanted to get to know keith outside of his connection with shiro and was patient enough to coax keith out of his shell. i tried to write in small ways adam takes care of keith like giving him LactoJoys because Keith likes the taste better than Lactaids, being there for him for his panic attack, adding food to his plate. things that won't draw too much attention, because we all know how keith is about receiving acts of kindness.

i mentioned this in a comment under one of the chapters but all of the advice adam gives keith is either advice i personally received myself or something i wish i could tell my younger self. i hope those words bring you comfort as well!

shiro

i had a lot more planned for shiro but goddammit i had no fucking time or space at this panned out. it's more so klance's story than shiro's.

look, there's a small moment in chapter 18 where shiro is very pleased (and a little surprised) that keith has talked about him with krolia. it has less to do with his faith in keith and more with how he sees himself. shiro has already acknowledged that he has heavy imposter syndrome and deals with his own struggles with self image. it's just always a jolt to your system when someone (could be your own family or your partner of years) validates your relationship.

shiro loves keith very much and just wants to be the best big brother. he has such eldest child syndrome, where he tries to pretend that everything is fine even though things are actually crumbling around him. the thing is, though, you can't build intimacy— real, lasting intimacy and depth in a relationship— without being vulnerable. shiro understands that even though he wants keith to work on opening up, he has to do the same and reciprocate the actions, or else neither of them will really get anywhere and be stuck in that loop of "are you mad at me/i feel like you're hiding something from me/i don't really know who you are."

i tried writing a bit from shiro's pov but i quickly realized that that would drastically change the tone of the fic so i had to scrap it. i might post a little oneshot in the distant future with adashi, though.

keith

🫧 i've talked about this before but although i think keith grew the most as a character in the canon show, that shit was WAY too fast and off-screen. also, i know that the whole found family trope is what drew a lot of fans to voltron in the first place (like me) but is the found family in the room with us rn? i felt like they all started to fall apart or at least weren't as close as the show wanted us to believe. it felt a lot like telling with no showing. other than some occasional moments in the show, the whole #teamasfamily felt hollow.

🫧 i wanted to build on this potential found family for keith's character. he's never had a support system before and he's used to pushing people away but now he has a whole ass friend group that's ready to fight for him if he gives the word.

🫧 initially, when i was writing keith's pov and trying to get a feel for his voice and tone, i struggled a bit. keith is one of those characters that i liked and sympathized with, but getting into his head was a whole different story. i'm more of a lance kinnie but once i got the hand of keith's voice, it was a lot easier. some of my best pieces of writing are from keith's pov! i tried to be as cognizant of keith's development as much as possible as i wrote (think me having various checkpoints for his journey whereas with lance i could just coast on vibes), and i'm pleased with how far he's come.

🫧 although both keith and lance's progress can showcased through their consciousness and thoughts (like duh ur reading from their povs), i leaned into keith's behavior as a way to portray his progress a bit more than lance. things like him being more open to physical affection, not sitting on the outskirts of group dynamics and sticking to shiro, and allowing himself to collect things, which by the way:

🫧 i like the idea of keith's room, once being so empty and ghost-like, is now full of stuff, mementos of his relationships that he's built. i tried to sprinkle in some relics from past chapters (paintball flag, polaroids, ticket stubs), as well add some new tidbits, like shiro giving him a cacti and that korean cookbook!

lance and marco

no i did not just torture lance for the sake of torturing him i would never do that to my boy.

i know this is a fanfiction, but from the start, i wanted to ground this fic in reality and breathe some life into it. lance's little arc with his brother having a substance abuse problem was loosely inspired by events in my personal life.

🫧 i'm not saying that everyone goes through something as drastic as a loved one going to rehab, but as young adults, when we leave home for uni, jobs, other opportunities, etc, there's this worry that something bad will happen while we're away. and often times it does. someone gets sick, a beloved pet passes away, it's all bound to happen. your childhood becomes a thing of the past, and things that you thought would stay the same just won't.

i projected a lot of my feelings onto lance ngl, and writing him work through his own grief and guilt over not being able to be with his family when they're going through a crisis helped me process a little bit more.

although lance had a happier ending than a lot of families might get in reality, i still wanted to show lance having a support system at college and realizing that he has a second family to lean on, and people who love and support him. he doesn't have to pretend to be okay for anyone and that's okay.

black paladin lance or as close to it as i could get

it was so important for me to make lance the new captain of their paintball team, as a stand-in for the black paladin arc he could have had in the show. he’s always been a selfless guy who puts others first and really pulls up when he needs to. he deserves to be recognized for that. not only did every single one of his friends validate him, but the person he looks up to the most literally endorsed him. lance struggles with his inferiority complex and the election scene was a little feel good moment for me, personally, so that he could receive the acknowledgement he deserves, especially with his growth. he's gonna be an awesome team captain (he'll be shuffling down to shiro's room at 2am covered in hickeys and talking about paintball strategies).

wrapping up loose ends

i tried to wrap up as many loose ends as possible and give all the characters a proper send-off. originally i wanted lance and hunk to also move into the house in castle street, like repurpose the basement or something but i realized that that just wasn’t possible because most college basements don’t even have heating or like,,,, a livable arrangement.

ultimately, i think it makes sense for pidge to be the one to take up allura’s room at the house. pidge has lived a single during the academic year but they also had lance and hunk right fifty feet away so it’s not like they REALLY lived alone that year. there was also the logistics of the house having a vacant room, and as much as i would have loved to have all of voltron under the same roof (hunk and pidge sharing a room, keith and lance sharing a room), i think they would kill each other. pidge filling in the gap felt like the right move. and lance and hunk are gonna be over a lot anyways, so it’s not like much has changed in the trio's group dynamic.

🫧 what was your favorite chapter to write?

i think i have different chapters in mind for different reasons, even if it's a copout answer. here are the chapters that are dearest to me:

chapter 4: recalibration this is the chapter where i really got to play around with character interactions. keith and lance's worlds were beginning to integrate in chapter 3 but in this chapter, i got to explore different friendships, like keith & pidge and lance & hunk, and the dynamics they entailed. you can see how important these friendships are to both lance and keith, and how their connection with others eventually helps them to reflect on their previous feelings toward each other, like "hmm maybe i've been too harsh with the other."

chapter 10: let's go to the beach the group dynamics were so solidified to this point, and it was so fun to write. i loved writing from adam's pov and being able to zoom out and showcase klance's relationship progression.

the winter break interludes i waxed poetic about these in a previous faq but to reiterate: i'm really pleased with the way each individual chapter turned out. i love a good character study, and it was a great challenge to my writing and characterization to dig deeper into their home lives and see how the past confronted the present, where their respective childhoods were brought into the light, and how long-held notions of belonging, home, and identity were challenged and remolded.

chapter 17: warm and light my beta reader drunkenguac said that this was some of my best writing and i've been coasting off of that validation for the past 4 months. keith's reunion with his mother was especially cathartic for me. as an adoptee, writing this chapter honestly helped me work through some of my feelings about my adoption as i pictured what it would look like if i was ever reunited with my birth mother. i'm very fortunate that i didn't have to go through the same experiences keith did, but i tried to imbue as much humanness as possible into his section.

chapter 18: moving on it just felt like a proper send-off, the one that we never got from s8 of voltron. i wanted the last chapter to basically have this vibe of "hey, things won't be the same but it's going to be okay because we have each other." when shiro tells matt in the end, "we'll still be here," that's me as the author, telling you, the reader, that this fic will still be here whenever you want to revisit it. it was a comfort to write and i've heard that it's a comfort to read, which is so so so gratifying. when i set out to write this fic in august of 2023, i didn't have any plans of grandeur or even expect like more than 100 people read it— it was just a passion project that i decided to share, and i'm glad that others have sought safety in it. outside of fandom, this fic is a love letter to my own college experience. i remember reading a college au fic when i was still in high school and lonely and closeted and repressed and wondering if i would ever be able to get out of my hometown and find a community as tightly-knit as the fic portrayed it. in a way, i got to reflect on my college experience by writing looking out for you. i find solace in this fic when i read back over it, and i can see aspects of my adventures throughout my freshman and sophomore and junior and senior years, waving from behind a thinly veiled curtain. this fic is dedicated to all the people who made my college experience.

anyways that's me rambling for now! thank you again to everyone who has tuned into looking out for you. this is the first piece of creative writing i've done in a long time, and i never expected to actually finish it. i'm so happy with the way it turned out and the love it's received. until next time!

I was thinking the reader was either a former Jedi General that worked with The Bad Batch or is with Rex when he shows up in Cid's bar and was originally just supposed to drop them off on a planet to hide but decides to stay with the boys maybe if they fall in love with one or it’s just platonic. Eventually they'll get a pretty small tank installed on the ship for them so they don’t get dehydrated while on long trips. Pairing: Rex x reader

Description: After joining the bad batch and falling in love with rex they all surprise you

You had met Rex through your friend Ashoka considering that you were padawans together and your masters knew each other. Her being Anakin Skywalker's padawan while you were the 2nd padawan under Luminara Unduli along with Barriss Offee until you were transferred and became Obi wan's padawan after not only a lot of trauma you went through but also not being able to train with the two anymore due to it and the issues between the two. Not too long after the change and becoming used to being around the other masters and padawans much more you met Captain Rex and a lot of other clones soon developing a bond with rex and soon the two of you got together getting separated after order 66 ending up meeting the bad batch in Kaller after being there for 3 weeks. You ended up joining the batch not only as their medic but also as a new friend ending up as the main care taker of Omega other than Hunter and being the one who keeps everyone together without you they all wouldn't be on the ship nor would Omega be with them. You reunited with rex after going in Cid's bar after rehydrating yourself seeing a familiar blonde head immediately tearing up and hugging an equally happy and surprised rex telling everyone what happened who are surprised not only did their friends know each other before but that they were a couple. Soon after spending time away from the batch with rex you come back being told of a surprise they all did for you walking on the ship with rex guiding you while you had your eyes covered until you opened them seeing a tank in the ship full of clear blue green water and some flowers planted at the bottom and some notes from omega taped to them as you smile hugging them. You giggle climbing and jumping in swimming in it popping back up "I love it! Guys...you didn't have to!" They all smile saying they know how exhausting it was for you to look for somewhere to rehydrate and wanted to do something to help you which made your heart swell and grow when they said it was rex's idea getting out and giving him a sweet kissing and hugging everyone thanking them.

I mean. if you're willing to share....then yes I am all ears on that sokeefitz angst fic...just saying *eyes*. I put this in a separate ask to give you a space to talk about it, but only if you want! Also no clue what I would want if I was sick, it's genuinely been so long I don't. I don't know what my sick safe foods are? life is so so so hard for people with strong immune systems i'm suffering so much /s

i'll answer the other stuff in the og chain; this one's juuuuust gonna be the sokeefitz angst fic lol.

basically: au (that's technically canon compliant, esp since the series isn't over? idk man don't ask) where like the shadowflux echoes in (fanon) fitz's knee, the echoes in his heart end up developing into a chronic condition. but the heart echoes are a significantly bigger threat to his health, like in canon (we don't ever see him get wiped out from the pain in his knee, but we do see him get wiped out from his heart echoes going haywire. there's examples throughout flashback of what i'm talking about). a year or two after canon ends (i'm approximating fitz'll be 18 or 19), livvy and elwin sit him down and tell him that from what they can see, they doubt he'll be able to live past 100.

they tell him that they'll do everything they can to make that statement false, but it falls on ringing ears.

from there, the premise would mainly be exploring how fitz would learn to manage his emotions to keep his heart echoes in check as best as he can - particularly anxiety and anger - plus him learning to accept that he's gone from having a shot at being a famous ancient to bring pride to the vacker family, to an elf that's become the closest to mortality that one can get. and ableism in the lost cities too, because i think realizing that a lot of the people he looked up to when he was younger valued him less as a disabled person would be a good motivator to break away from the golden boy mold and become who he actually wants to be, whoever that is.

and then there's also learning to accept almost-mortality through sophie's unique perspective on it, and helping her accept almost-immortality. slowburn exes to lovers on that front, through the power of - as keefe dubbed it in the books - cognate rawr. i'm also thinking this would be set in level 7 for fitz, so he could be roommates w/ keefe and have an '(unofficial) ex (childhood) best friends to lovers' arc.

sokeefe would be established already in this, but have a conversation fairly early on the fic where they're like 'ummm so i actually haven't moved on from fitz and it's freaking me out-' 'omg SAME' and then help each other figure out they're bi and polyam (that would be a side plot of its own, because, like. you can't do that in one scene lmao). and then once they'd reached that conclusion they'd be like 'hey so you wanna see if we can flirt our way into getting fitz to join our relationship?' 'worth a shot, sounds better than endless pining'.

ofc fitz is super dense though so he doesn't see keefe's advances as flirting until the obliviousness starts getting ridiculous, and he makes up ten million platonic excuses for sophie's actions because we broke up, there's no way she still sees me like that anymore - not when she has keefe the way she does. because as an aro i would do that in his situation and i have decided he's aro-spec <3 but they all get it together eventually. and get a cottage somewhere and fitz gets to be a baker and they just. have their happily ever after.

uuuuuuuuntil fitz is on the cusp of turning 100 and dies. because i'm evil. and i want to explore how much worse keefe's oh my god please don't leave me please please please i'd do anything to make you stay complex would get if he lost a lover and the situation was out of his control. and how much it would differ from sophie's acceptance. and how sophie's acceptance could turn into world-crushing anger and stuff after she stops feeling the need to stay strong for keefe.

and then maybe how much worse the whole please don't leave me alone please i'll do ANYTHING ANYTHING ANYTHING JUST STAY STAY STAY would get if sophie died centuries after fitz from some mission and keefe was truly on his own. just after he started feeling solid about having her in his life for a long time after the present. if i'm feeling particularly cruel by the end.

(there's a lot of scenes that made go OWOWOWOW that my brain conjured up, but. those stay in my brain until i write them. no spoilers :) also ik i'd need to do a lot of research on heart conditions to make fitz's arc more accurate to real life because even if shannon doesn't care about medical accuracy, i do lol.)

may we please have a crumb of Violetta lore in the most canon story line (LI, what she's doing, etc)?

Amihan and Violetta were both born in Kirkwall and showed magic at the same time. Revka called the Templars on them, but they were sent to different Circles. Amihan was sent to Kinloch and Violetta was sent to Ostwick.

Both of them knew they had a twin, but memories of each other faded w time and soon accepted they'll probably never meet.

Violetta was a bit of a troublemaker in Ostwick, she has a smart mouth and wasn't afraid to skirt or question rules (unlike goody-goody Amihan). Ostwick was a bit more lax than Kinloch, but Violetta often got into trouble anyway (kitchen duties, cleaning Templar armor) and more serious ones like overnight dungeon stints and being threatened Tranquilization.

Her mentor Enchanter Grace took a liking to her because she was bright and determined. She convinced Violetta that if she didn't get into any more trouble, she could end up on the research team who is allowed to leave the Circle to do studies. That placated Violetta a bit.

At 24, Violetta finally got into the research team and it allowed her to see Ostwick City, visit other Circles, and other places in the Free Marches. Though Violetta still intended to use this opportunity to break out, she just needed to build some trust.

It never came, as the Mage-Templar War happened. Violetta set her eyes on Ferelden because the HoF shared her name and she was sure that was her sister.

Thanks to connections she made while on the research team, she knew several places that would help her get there. She makes it to Ferelden, but never finds Amihan (she was out searching for the Cure). So Violetta ends up in South Reach.

She and Branson eventually fall in love and get married - the nephew in the letter to Cullen in Trespasser is their oldest son, Evan.

Amihan eventually tracks her down, and funny enough when she gets there, she not only meets her sister, but the former Inquisitor, Immy.

I'm a bit petty with this but I'm glad she didn't marry Cregan or another man who's all nice, chivalrous and supports her mother's claim. That would've been soooo boring, free of drama and real angst and I love toxic shit lmao. This is a personal preference so absolutely no offense to those who enjoy those type of stories, but I generally feel like most of the times where the OFC is married, betrothed or has a side romance with Cregan or another man like him, at least half of the readers turn immediately into Aemond antis. And I don't blame them, with Aemond being Aemond and doing stupid Aemond things and fighting for his side in the war it's hard for a lot of readers, especially when most are team black, not to be like "yeah he doesn't deserve her if he does all this and won't swear allegiance to his half-sister to prove his love for OFC"…which I do get it but like we said previously, he can't betray his family for love just like the OFC can't do it either. Also, after reading dozens of chapters where a clear connection has been established between Aemond and the main female character, one that is clearly based on true love, I really can't bring myself to root for another endgame ship; anything else that is not with Aemond always seems rather forced since it will all be based on duty and all that. Plus I really like the trope in which two persons from two opposing sides do manage to end up together despite all the forces that try to keep them separated. Not to mention that with Cregan specifically, I just don't think he wouldn't keep his father's oath if he didn't get to marry a daughter of Rhaenyra…seems a bit dishonorable for a Stark if you get what I mean and using him as a plot device in a Aemond/OC story when the sole purpose is to make Aemond jealous and feel some pain that someone else is or may be sleeping with the woman he loves is a bit cheap.

Agreed about the girlboss thing. Sometimes I do like the trope and I imagine it's hard not to write a girlboss when your OFC rides a dragon but with Aemond/OFC stories specifically it's a bit overdone at this point. Besides having almost no bad character traits and never suffering any major consequences for their bad decisions, a lot of the times these types of characters also read a bit too modern for a Westerosi woman (even for a Targ princess) while Aemond and most other men still retain a majority of the characteristics medieval men have.

I wonder what decision Daenera will make that is dark and with the intent of securing/freeing herself…it most likely involves killing someone who may be innocent. I suspect she won't manage to free herself though since judging by most of your past comments it seems like she'll be with Aemond during the war? Or maybe she'll reunite briefly with her parents when King's Landing falls but then she'll go back to Aemond when he's occupying Harrenhal to kill him and Alys when hearing about the rumors? Although I've always imagined the next time she'll be seeing any of her parents would be, in the case of her father, before Aemond and Daemon's final battle. It will be a long time but I also can't wait when both of them eventually decide to choose each other. Being loyal to one's side until the bitter end, I'm afraid it would be a death sentence and neither of them will do anything that would get the other one killed so their side can win the war. While some things and crimes will never be forgiven like Luke's and their child's death, the only way both can survive is to choose themselves and be united against those whose actions led to the whole mess they'll be facing in the first place. I also imagine that if she gets pregnant again, they'll take into account their future child's life when making the decision to choose each other and be even more motivated to do so. I also hope Daemon lives to witness her getting pregnant AGAIN with Aemond's child so he can telll her "don't worry I'll get rid of this one too"

Ohh I'm excited about the latest preview!! Alicent will try to force Aemond to marry whoever she wants until the end isn't she? Too bad Aemond won't listen to her this time! Even though I'll be hurt seeing Daenera forced into the (official) marriage with him, I'm also glad he took the opportunity to marry her. I feel like it was always going to be the only chance he was going to have so yeah…

I hear about the stories other people write a lot, but I don't read them since I have paranoia that I will accidentally plagarise it lol But I always go with 'to each their own'. I also prefer my stories where two people who should be enemies and should hate each other, fall in love. I love stories when there's a brutality to their love, when it has teeth and claws--but that there's also this deep seeded love that can't be dismissed. I love stories where no matter how flawed and awful a character is, that there's something to love about them anyway. And that is why I'm writing this. I also chose Baratheon because it would be DRAMA! If she had married Cregan it would all have been tame and just... I wouldn't work. It might have worked with a Lannister, but since they're pro Green, they likely wouldn't support Rhaenyra anyway. Boris Baratheon provided me with the drama and angst I wanted, and it was a plotline that could easily fit into the story -- and his death will also have consequences.

Daenera will have her own girlboss moments, as she's always had. But actions have consequences (for the most part, I do need some level of freedom) and I want to keep to that. Aemond burned Dae= she poisons his sword He exposes her scandalous letter = she sets him up with a whore Aemond helps Boris beat Aran=Boris wants Dae as wife/he basically introduced them lol Daenera fucked aemond = She needed to be married off Daenera stars an affair with aemond = she gets beaten up and is threatened to become a brood mare = she kills him Boris dies = loss of an alliance And so forth. Some consequences are bigger than others, and some are a domino effect. I also fear that if I keep her the same throughout the story, it will go stagnant, so having her lose power and fight to regain it will battle that stagnancy.

I wont reveal anything more, but the act is dark, and it is a way of securing/freeing herself, though she will remain with Aemond and in King's Landing. I am not entierly sure where she'll be, but I am leaning towards her going to Harrenhal before King's Landing falls. And she'll only meet Daemon again to confront him. With Rhaenyra it will be far longer, and Im not to sure when they will meet again.

"I also hope Daemon lives to witness her getting pregnant AGAIN with Aemond's child so he can telll her "don't worry I'll get rid of this one too" Are you kitting me?! This is great! lol I hope by the point that they choose each other, that by doing so they will each work to win the crown, and weave their way into it. It will take great machinations, but I'd like to see them (and especially Daenera) in a crown. But I am not entirely set on the ending just yet, though I really do hope it will end with them on the throne.

Oh, Alicent does NOT want Aemond to marry Daenera. She thinks that it will only bring him ruin and destruction, and with her knowing about the affair, she'd try and force his hand.... though, we know Aemond, he will drag his feet and push it as far off as it can get, and then everything happens and he's like 'this is my opportunity! Aegon gets a crown, I get Daenera its a winwin' and Alicent will have brain bleed trying to wring that idea out of his head. But a marriage with Daenera is sound. Politically it makes sense.

Shouto being best friends with Izuku but has been pining on Katsuki for years until they finally break up after such a long time fighting with each other and Shouto is torn between being sad for Izuku who is still in the process of moving on and being happy for having a chance to go for Katsuki but then there's guilt and loyalty to Izuku from holding him back but Katsuki is still hung up on Izuku and Katsuki is Shouto's friend too so ofc he wants to want to soothe him too but then they ended up sleeping together and Shouto had to keep it a secret while Izuku kept telling him how he kind of still miss Katsuki and his heart breaks even further when Katsuki told him to his face that he's just waiting for Izuku to miss him so badly that they'll get back together bcs apparently they often fight so bad they'll 'break up' but essentially they're just having a break and they'll always get back together and Shouto spirals with more guilt the more he meets up with Izuku and the more he wants Katsuki and 'soothe' him while pretending that they'll never get back together and Shouto is too scared to ask Izuku whether they're splitting or eventually getting back together as he kept pining for Katsuki and stopping by his apartment for food and beer until they ended up having sex every time and ever moment with Katsuki had been the happiest he's ever been until the morning after he had to face the world outside of Katsuki apartment when he had to work with his best friend Izuku meanwhile SHouto is so convinced that Katsuki is starting to love him back because he stopped mentioning Izuku everytime they're together and the sex starts to feel like making love and SHouto just knows that one of these days that Katsuki will fall for him but he didn't and turns out he's been texting Izuku and begging that they'll get back together and SHouto fights with Katsuki about it like why would you want to get back together with Izuku like "What about us?" and Katsuki just scoffs and say "there's no us" Shouto can't say anything and kept pretending that maybe he just haven't succeed in making Katsuki falls in love with him instead of facing the reality that is that Katsuki is using him as a place holder which doesn't last long because in the end Izuku found out bcs Katsuki sent Izuku a pic of them together in bed and Izuku marches over to Shouto's place all angry like "How could you! You're my friend. Friends don't do this!" all teared up and SHouto basically screamed "You said you broke up! You didn't say you're taking a break or all this bullshit!" "Even so! You don't fuck with your best friend's ex!" "NO! No! Fuck you Izuku. I've been watching from the sidelines long enough. I love him! I love him more than you could ever do because I loved him even before you started LOOking at him like that and he's supposed to be with me! He's supposed to be mine! but I shut my mouth for you because you're my fucking best friend but I had enough. You two always fight and you know both of you are bad for each other because he's supposed to be mine! And yes we've been fucking for a month but you fucking broke up and I didn't betray you so stop accusing me and face it! Both of you had been miserable for years while in the last month I've been with him I have never ever been happier!!!" and Izuku slaps him and tell him to wake up and told him that Katsuki is just playing with him just like how he played with Izuku but Shouto doesn't give up until Katsuki finally stops all contact with Shouto and Katsuki changed the code to his apartment and they fought in Izuku's apartment when Izuku isn't even there bcs Shouto knows Izuku's code to his apartment as do Katsuki and Katsuki is suspicious as why Shouto is there and Shouto lied that he also slept with Izuku because he loves Izuku and that's the reason why Izuku wont get back together with Katsuki hoping that Katsuki would get jealous and choose Shouto but Katsuki got angry instead that Izuku is sleeping with Shouto and they fought so hard they bleed until Izuku comes back home and split them apart.

in the end the three of them are nursing their bruises and bleeding noses. Izuku only got a jab on the face once instead of the black and blues Shouto and Katsuki is. This is when they finally talk.

Izuku: "Kacchan. I do love you, and you're always be my best friend. But we're not great as boyfriends. I've fallen in love with someone, not SHOUTO, gosh calm down. They showed me what love truly felt like. I understand that you're not perfect, Kacchan, and it's not your fault, but I'm done trying to fix you when you never even wanted to do it yourself."

Shouto didn't even know what they're talking about. SHouto is always jealous about their closeness, but not anymore.

Shouto: "I love you Katsuki. I've loved you even before both of you started having crushes. I thought both of you are perfect together but you're not, so I thought you belonged with me, but you'll never love me, I know that now.... I don't think I want to love you anymore."

Katsuki said nothing but stormed out of the apartment. Izuku can't look at Shouto and Shouto eventually leaves while saying "I'm so sorry, Izuku. I truly am."

And if I wanna stay messy, I'll end it like that. I don't watch Euphoria so idk

Lolol dear anon, they are chaotic af but I don't think they'll be kicked out. They aren't the type to get in trouble (and Mary makes sure to keep somewhat of a leash on Vin 😆). So lets see..

Vin Jin & Mary Kim Carnival Headcanons

(can be read both as platonic & romantic)

Its definitely Vin's idea to go to the carnival. Like he canonically asks her to hang out at the cafeteria or go to the arcade. So they agree to go.

If the place is too crowded, they stick really close and steal glances to make sure the other is close to them. That they don't get lost.

A lot of goofy pics are taken at the photo booth.

They're definitely the ones spinning wildly on the teacup ride 😂

On the bumper cars, Mary just wants to chill but Vin says his bumper car can crash hers more than 5 times.

At first she's cringing at his childish behavior but gets too competitive when Vin's car actually hits hers 😆

It becomes a competition from that point on and they try many games.

They take turns on the High Striker game. Striking the hammer alternately and trying to one up the other, until eventually they're asked to leave.

They're both horrible at shooting games. After wasting 10 bullets each and yelling at a bunch of kids for making fun of them, they leave 😭

Mary isn't very fond of haunted houses but Vin loves them so he persuades her into going.

Inside Mary is just super jumpy at every little sound and turn. She's holding onto Vin's arm for dear life, occasionally hiding her face in his chest to avoid looking at something unsightly. He teases her about it and she smacks him (with shaky hands ofc 😆)

Meanwhile Vin is laughing at the cheap ghost costumes and the sound effects. He is the one who points out the unnecessary creepy details, like the blood pooling in a corner and shit like that. Nevertheless, he also makes sure Mary isn't too scared.

Its the opposite on the rides. Vin hates them but Mary practically drags him on each of her favorite ones.

On the Roller Coaster, even with the safety of bars and straps around them, Vin grabs her hand. He tells her not to grin mockingly at him as he's just making sure she isn't scared. She rolls her eyes and lets him have it 😆

While on the Pirate ship (or what ever you call that big swinging boat ride), they're both screaming their lungs out.

After the rides, they rest for a while and just enjoy the street performers, even taking pics with those carnival mascots.

At the food stalls, they try a variety of snacks.

Mary loves sweet stuff but Vin doesn't. So she buys a cotton candy and jokingly sticks some of it at the corner of his mouth to annoy him. He chides her for it but eats the chunk in the end 😭

They buy some silly souvenirs like masks, those funky glasses that are extra large in size, etc.

Lastly, they go to the Ferris Wheel and take a lot of selfies from the top, with the view of the entire carnival in their background.

Later on their way back, they both fall asleep in the bus, shoulder to shoulder, heads resting against each other.

Everyone say thanks cherrymistmas for giving me my first Baji ship!!! I love them now!!

-Late night motorcycle rides together. a LOT of them!! Baji likes to go on rides when he's restless and aggressive and he'll usually shoot Mitsuya a text like "heading to the park for a ride" and Mitsuya will immediately grab his stuff and rendezvous with him. They could drive around forever if they wanted to, and usually they'll pull over in a park or at a late night store and they'll talk through Baji's emotions until he feels better. If they're alone together they'll usually end up kissing for awhile, until they're too tired to do anything other than ride home.

-Sometimes they ride on the same motorcycle. Baji usually drives because he gets flustered by Mitsuya super easily, so the bike riding gives him something to focus on.

-Baji initiated their first kiss you can fight me on this

-Before being in a relationship, Baji was suuuuper confident towards Mitsuya! But as soon as they entered their relationship he lost ALL OF HIS CONFIDENCE because it was mega mega performative. So while Mitsuya is super casual and he'll wrap his arm around Baji's waist or bump him with his hip or hold his hand, Baji will turn BRIGHT red and immediately lose all sense of self.

-Mitsuya loves to come up behind Baji and wrap his arms around him and kiss him on the neck. It flusters Baji. It's adorable.

-Baji started hanging around the home ec. club a lot because Mitsuya was there all the time, but no one wanted him there because he was distracting!! So Mitsuya teaches Baji how to sew stuffed animals so he makes little stuffed toys for stray cats to shred.

-Speaking of cats one time Baji and Mitsuya were making out in Baji's room and a cat started scratching at the window and Baji was like "Oh hey it's my cat!!" and straight up just forgets about Mitsuya in favor of cooing at/playing with the stray kitten that he occasionally feeds. Mitsuya sulked for awhile until Baji finally came back to him and apologized for ignoring him. Mitsuya was snarky but in a very affectionate way.

-When Mitsuya is super stressed out Baji will just casually slide headphones over his ears and play him a playlist(made by Baji ofc ofc). It always makes him smile at least a little bit!

-Clothes swapping. Lots of it. To the point where they sort of forget what clothes belongs to who.

-Mitsuya's sisters dislike Baji and they try SO HARD to interrupt them every time they have a cute domestic moment. They're holding hands? Someone starts crying for Mitsuya. They're about to kiss? All of a sudden the girls are fighting loudly. They're cooking dinner together and it's starting to get kind of tense and romantic? Luna suddenly needs to help cook or she'll scream!!

-Eventually Baji wins them over by showing them some of the kittens that he takes care of. The girls think it's super neat that cats love him! He has their trust after that!! but BARELY.

-This is oddly specific but Mitsuya has probably had a serious girlfriend before so that makes Baji nervous because Baji has like. No experience and no *real* confidence.

-Cuddles on rainy days, dear god they would. They're usually not incredibly soft because they're both dudes y know? Like they kiss and hold hands but they still act like bros! But nah. Rainy days when they're alone at Baji's house? They love cuddling under his soft blankets. They usually fall asleep with Mitsuya's face nestled in Baji's neck. It's so warm...and soft...and they're both so clingy to each other like they just WRAP their arms around each other. And they don't let go!! And then when they wake up Mitsuya will sleepily kiss him :)

-Baji likes holding Mitsuya while he sleeps because his relaxed sleeping face is just...so pretty...and then he can stare at Mitsuya for forever without feeling weird!

-I think Baji absolutely LOVES Mitsuya's body but not in a sexy way. Just super like "Damn you're my boyfriend and you're HOT" but like in a respectful way!! And it's surprising because Mitsuya has SHIT self confidence. He always feels like he's not good enough! Not muscular enough!! Baji's solution for this is kissing him all over the place sometimes. Just like,,, kissing all over his neck, kissing his arms and shoulders, etc etc etc. But he especially loves kissing his forehead and nose!! And he'll just murmur stuff like "I don't know how you can hate your body so much...I love it." Tbh it makes Mitsuya really emotional but he's amazing at keeping a cool look about him.

-And of course Mitsuya loves Baji just the way he is too but HIS thing is playing with Baji's long and silky hair. Constantly. Whenever they kiss there is a 100% change that Mitsuya will end up with both of his hands completely tangled in Baji's thick hair.

-They help each other tie their sashes when prepping for battle :)

-Finally I just wanna say that Mitsuya was the first to say I love you. Like he probably didn't build it up too much, just told Baji honestly one day when they were away from Mitsuya's sisters for a few minutes. Like "Hey Baji. I love you." Baji was a MESS(/pos). Like he was just like "you. you. you wHAT" and Mitsuya just pecked him on the cheek and said "We should go check on the girls!"

-And then when Baji was going home he stared straight at the ground and said "What you said earlier...yeah. Me too." Then he runs away before he has to face the embarassment.

Ok hear me out: marauders pirate au where Sirius and James are pirates and Remus is a chef/cartographer on a ship they capture and Sirius is obviously like 👁 interesting and shares a look with james and is like “prongs, shall we see the pretty boy walk the plank?” And they def smirk to each other because they're menaces and pirates and Remus is pissed but also scared but if he’s gonna die it’s gonna be with his dignity in tact and he wont give them the satisfaction of begging for his life. So as he’s about to walk the plank Sirius is watching him in wonder bc he definitely isn’t ACTUALLY gonna make him jump, but he’s entranced by this beautiful boy who’s fearlessly walking to his death to spite him. But then before he can be like "lmao jk come back" Remus fucking jumps and Sirius is like what the FUCK is he doing. So he obviously shares another look with James and then dives off the ship. James rushing to the side of the ship to see him splash into the water and watching the ripples and being like “god damnit padfoot-" and getting the rope to lower it to him.

Eventually Sirius resurfaces with Remus who looks pissed and when they’re back on deck Remus is still glaring and Sirius says something like “I think the words you’re looking for are thank you for saving your sorry life” and Remus is like I’d rather have drowned. And yeah just Sirius completely captivated by him and he joins their crew as a cartographer or chef or whatever and slowly gains the trust of the crew and Sirius comes to flirt with him as he’s cooking and Remus always has attitude with him but he's slowly falling for one of the most notorious prates alive (which he has very conflicting feelings about since the things he's heard have been terrible? lots of murder and stuff, which doesn't make sense since the sirius he's coming to know isn't anything like that really, but he's conflicted nonetheless) but yeah just them falling in love and Remus becoming part of their crew and just!!! Things!!!

Also I can just SEE lily as the most badass pirate oh my fucking god can you IMAGINE her in one of those Pinterest pirate outfits with a sword and when Remus is first brought on board she holds him at the tip of her Sword and she’s so deadly but so stunning and she just raises an eyebrow at him. UGH she would be so fucking cool. also remus and her later becoming close and she tells him about how she grew up on the mainland with a sister who she never saw eye to eye with. she thought pirates and adventure were just waiting on the sea, and her sister wanted to settle down and marry someone rich and respected. i'm not sure yet exactly what happens but somehow lily winds up doing something (murder? justified murder) that she knows that they'll hang her for no matter the circumstances (maybe she killed an aristocrat man, and they will always blame the woman not the man making advances- so she killed him to make him stop, but doomed herself) so she does the only thing she can think, she boards a ship and leaves. she sails with a crew for awhile hiding belowdecks as a stole away, stealing food and the such before she makes it to a port where she knows pirates are known to frequent. she longs for a life of adventure and since she's already a wanted woman, she might as well go the full 9 yards and be hanged for something worthwhile. she joins either Sirius' crew after he finds her with a knife to a pirates throat for trying to touch her and invites her to join his crew and on his honor no man would ever touch her there. and then ofc she meets Dorcas who is the hottest most badass stunning pirate ever and teaches Lily a thing or two about fighting on her feet and how to properly use a sword. can you imagine the tension between them when they both have a sword pressed to each others neck?? anyways im becoming a dorlily shipper more and more by the dayyyyy

also!!! pandora joining their crew after being accused of being a witch (she is a witch <3) and shes like the crews sweetheart but shes sooo badass. shes like calypso in the pirates movies!!!!

And Peter as one of the people in the crow nest that keeps an eye out for land/other ships??? barrelman i think? him just showing up one day and being like "take me with you. i can take care of myself, i can fight and I can be your lookout. just take me with you" after seeing james and sirius save him or someone else and being completely bestowed.

Also pls pls imagine regulus as some aristocrat/general or whatever who is hell bent on capturing and killing all pirates ever and he specifically wants to capture Sirius. they’ve been outrunning each other ever since Sirius ran away to join the pirate crew when he was 16 but secretly despite claiming to hate his brother with everything in him the reason he’s so hell bent on catching Sirius is because he MISSES him so so much. he’s obsessed with him and will do anything to have him close again even if they’re on opposing sides when they do meet again.

pls imagine in a close fight between the navy and the marauders crew, James somehow gets captured and Sirius has to prioritize his crew and pull Back or regulus leaves before Sirius can get to james in time, so reg takes James as his prisoner back to the mainland and he’s thrown in the jail there, set to be executed. Regulus fucking hates him bc he’s the one who got Sirius out of their childhood home and brought him into this life where he’s free and loved and amazing and he loves his new life, but regulus wanted him to stay for him. (ofc reg's "i wanted to be enough for him" complex my fav <3) He knew how much their childhood sucked and how Sirius wouldn’t have survived if he stayed, but he wanted so badly to be enough for Sirius to have stayed, and now he has the man who replaced him.

The brother Sirius always wanted, the one who was enough for Sirius and he hates him. He’s going to kill him. And so James sits in that cell and whistles and he endures the beatings he gets when he won’t answer the other officers questions about his crew and their secrets. He takes the punches and the water boarding and he gasps for air when his head comes above the water, shaking and shivering, but he smiles at them with clenched teeth and tells them to fuck their cousin bc he won’t say anything and regulus HATES him. Bc he’s good and he’s brave and funny and he’s so fucking annoying and he whistles in his cell and talks out loud and tells stories even though regulus couldn’t give less of a shit and hates them and soaks up every story James tells about Sirius and he hates James so much but he stays in the dingy prison and listens to him talk and when James is set to be executed and is led up to the platform with the rope around his neck regulus feels his world fall out from him because he’s realizes he can’t watch James die.

He feels the claws of panic grip his throat until he can't breathe and he hears his mothers voice somewhere in the back of his mind telling him to do as he's told and to kill the filthy pirate, but he hears James voice in his head echoing in the cold wet cell talking about the sunset over the ocean and he realizes he has to choose. He frantically looks around for something to stop this, some sign for what to do to fix this and realizes he's going to get them both killed, but he has to try. i cant decide how he interrupts the hanging, but he locks eyes with james, noose around his neck on his knees, and he either points his gun at an officer (i vote Lucius) or he yells for them to stop or something, but he doesn't notice someone at the top of the wall, which in and of itself isn’t weird, but it’s not a guard, it’s Peter. before regulus knows it and before they can shoot him too, Sirius and Remus are sweeping down to the platform, lily and Dorcas are holding soldiers at the mercy of their swords, and regulus watches the rope around James neck cut and his hands released. He looks his brother in the eyes for the first time since the night they fought on the ship when James was caught and Sirius’ eyes are deadly.

OR alternatively regulus stopping the hanging and being held at gun point by Lucius who looks at him like he’s gone crazy, and maybe he has because he’s looking at James with the rope around his neck and he can’t watch him die and he’s about to fight Lucius, fight and face imprisonment or worse just for the possibility that he could save James when suddenly Sirius and Remus are THERE and they’re like “Couldn’t have saved the heroics for another 5 minutes? Threw off our whole plan Reggie.”

And then Sirius is like “time to improvise I guess.” With a maniacal smile and Then ofc chaos ensues and James is saved and regulus HAS to go with them becayse he’s just openly defied and tried to save a known criminal, a PIRATE, and so he goes with them. Just him on a pirate ship with the people he’s tried to kill before and lilys like why don’t we just toss him overboard and be done with it but James is like “wait no way he just risked his life for me” and she’s like yeah but if it wasn’t for him your life wouldn’t have been at risk in the first place and they go back and forth and then Sirius is like "HEY. He stays. If anyone throws him overboard in the middle of the night I will personally fuck you up you so bad not even your mother would recognize you."

And so regulus stays and he kinda has to figure out his place within the ship in between the hostility and the pirates menacing thinly veiled threats. The way they leer at him as he walks to get food, the jeers they throw at him as he crosses the deck. He usually hides away in the kitchen to just get away from It all and he inevitability winds up becoming friends with Remus and Remus kinda offers this wry and like idk?? Remus?? Disposition on it all. Like when regulus comes in one day with yesterdays lunch on his shirt that had “accidentally” been spilled on him on its way over deck, Remus just raises an eyebrow and is like “well, it could be you going overboard. Seems to me you don’t have it half as bad.” And goes back to chopping vegetables and regulus scowls at him but he also appreciates Remus’ presence and how he doesn’t rly coddle him but he doesn’t give him a hard time. He knows what it’s like to be on the outside of the crew but he also knows that regulus almost got one of his best friends killed. One day they come to a truce when regulus kinda apologizes for it and shares a little bit of his life with him and then Remus offers a peace offering of like “well if you’re gonna be in here bothering me, might as well be useful. Chop those vegetables into squares.” And then they work Quietly but comfortably.

OR alternatively to sirius just running away when he was 16, Imagine if Sirius had been on a ship with his family when their ship was overtaken by pirates (mayhaps the potters were a family of pirates 👀) and that night he snuck away and went with/asked the pirates to take him because if he stayed with his parents any longer they would kill him. he was nothing like what they wanted (a naval captain and stuck up rich bastard who killed pirates) and that night his family assumed he’d been KILLED by the pirates which is why regulus hates pirates and chose to stay with his family and be the person they wanted because he wanted to avenge his brother, but then on the night when he and Sirius’ crew are battling he sees “padfoot” for the first time and realizes it’s his brother who supposedly died 8 years prior. And so when he takes James prisoner, he both hates him and craves any stories with Sirius but also hates Sirius but loves him so much and yeah

Also the marauders having a reputation for taking in runaways??? Like bc Sirius knows what it’s like to need somewhere and knows the home he’s found in his crew, they have a reputation within the pirate community (yes that’s now a thing) for taking in runaways or kids with no where to go so long as they can make their keep

Also also just thinking, as James is going to the gallows he starts either singing or whistling the hanging tree and others join in and it’s like that scene from pirates where the boy is hanged, but instead as James gets up there still singing and the rope is around his neck and he’s looking at regulus, he whistles the song he whistled in the dungeons and this time there’s a reply and it’s Sirius bc that was their song and he knew Sirius would come for him

Gideon and Fabian on the marauders crew??? “Oh yeah we have a sister back on the mainland, Sirius saved her life and we’ve been with him ever since. He always offered to give us a good life on the main land, but we owe him our lives. Besides, we prefer the sea life" i have many thoughts about the prewett brothers. just thinking when the marauders dock on the mainland or whereever molly is, soon after remus joins the crew they take gideon, fabion, sirius, lily, james, and remus and go to Molly's house and remus is like " no shot she welcomes us in, she'll report us for sure" and hes kind of hoping she will so they'll get what they deserve (this is still him freshly joining a crew of pirates who have threatened him (in good fun) and have a reputation) and maybe he'll be free to just go about his life. but when they get there molly greets them with enthusiastic smiles, warm hugs, a hot home cooked meal, and five children running around. remus watches her pull sirius into a warm hug and how gently sirius smiles at her and asks after the kids by name and he feels like hes slowly seeing more to the pirate padfoot (LMFAO thats such a stupid pirate name i love him)

also barty and evan def are naval officers like reg because thats what their parents were and what was expected of them, but the second they're given the chance and they see reg leaving with the pirates theyre like " fuck this bitch were outta here" and immediately just switch full on pirate mode. they were born to be the most unhinged pirates ever

anyways i have sooo much to add especially about dorlily and marlene is a surprise im sitting on but i deadass have so much i need to do and typing this out took me so long

So I have been sitting on a marauders pirate au for the past 2 months bc I don’t have any friends who like the marauders and it’s been collecting dust in my notes app but I just saw someone recommend a fic that’s them as pirates and now I NEED to read it but I don’t want it to affect my ideas at all so I’m putting them out here so I can finally start reading the fic without feeling like I’m stealing ideas or anything 😎

been thinking about aisling/izzy lately. part of me thinks while they do ofc genuinely like each other, they'll eventually find that their longterm relationship goals are too different & they'll have a sad yet amicable breakup & remain friends. the other part of me thinks they could probably make it work & it would be really cute. i'm not sure if i favor one over the other rn tho. what do you guys think?

My personal view on this is that it likely works out differently depending on how the characters' personal arcs have gone. A more confident shaman Aisling + a more forgiving, chill Izzy? I think it works really well actually. They've both started to grow in that scenario in a way that brings them closer, and they can continue to grow with each other's help and influence.

Vengeful Izzy and suppressed Aisling? Yeah, I think a sad but amicable breakup is the more likely result there.

And the other two combinations would have their own dynamics of course, but probably fall somewhere in between as far as chances go. In general, the long term status of their relationship is entirely up to headcanon; those are just my general musings on it. :)

Yes i do have an newborn hiperfixation on Bruce and Loki + jealous Tony platonic science bro relationship.

Loki and Bruce are buddies with each other first.

Tony is a small (shot), jealous bean, but Bruce still loves his science bro and will always remind Tony about it.

Eventually Tony starts to be fond of Loki too and he begins to be friends with him.

Tony doesn't quit being the jealous one, though, but it isn't that bad as it used to be and they makes an inside joke out of it.

They love to do science stuff and have long conversation about it, bc they understand each other when no one can.

Ofc they don't do that all the time. That would be ridiculous.

They love to watch good detective crime story and figure out the case before the ending of the episode.

Loki bonds with Bruce and Tony differently and he loves that about their friendship.

Bruce reminds him of cozy, warm summer night with soft music playing in the background and millions of stars at the night sky.

Loki can always come to him and sick for comfort and peace and he loves Bruce for it.

A lot of the times Bruce actually reminds him of Frigga and, as much as it makes Loki happy, it also bring bitterness to his mind, but he's trying not to think about it to hard.

Tony on the other hand is like those chaotic horse rides in the end of autumn. Freezing wind in your hair and falling leaves, but it doesn't bother at all, you live for this moment, admire it and don't care about anything else.

Tony is a great person for any kind of distraction, taking care of Loki or Bruce while doing it and best friend to hang out with.

Nothing with Tony is and gets boring, even the most boring things or chores.

He always finds a way to do them interestingly, but only when he doesn't have to do them (by himself).

Loki never drops it and teases Tony with it, which he likes to do often.

Tony is very much a father figure for Loki or any figure really and the first one he ever had. Loki even confessed ones that Tony is the person he always wanted to be (Tony cried).

Tony and Bruce were the first people he told about his gender-fluidity and sexual orientation.

That day for Loki was full of emotions, mainly frear and hope and a lot of happy tears, bc ofc science bros were supportive.

They made sure Loki got as much positive attention and love he (or xe as this was his preferred pronoun at the time) needed.

After Loki's coming out it was time for Tony and Bruce.

Although everyone knew by now that Tony likes to go both ways Loki first heard from him that he thinks he might be on a aromatic spectrum.

No one made Tony explain it, but he did anyway and Loki discover that they had a lot in common. Both seek for attention and love, but not in a romantic way, but in a strong and deep friendship way.

The only difference was that Tony could see himself in the romantic relationship (as with Pepper) and Loki just couldn't, Tony and Bruce made sure he knew it was okay.

Bruce confessed he didn't really felt like needing to be a guy or a girl. He just doesn't feel a connection to gender at all and took him really big chunk of time to figure that out.

He still decided to use he/him pronouns, bc he does feel comfortable with them and just doesn't bother to change that.

In the end, they made a statement that every morning they'll start by asking each other what's their pronouns are for this day.

That made and still makes Loki euphoric and accepted among those who he loves the most.

Loki loves both of his idiots very much, bc that's the closest thing he had to a loving and supportive family. He didn't tell them that yet, but maybe in a future...

and at some point simon tells himself i could fall for this guy, i should fall for this guy bc it's definitely a lot easier than pining for an unattainable swedish prince. and what if they could fall into a relationship as easily as they fall into bed?

so then when simon meets wille, he kinda cuts contact with diego - even though they weren't texting or meeting up regularly anyway. it just happened when it did whatever. fast forward to that club night where simon evades diego bc it's awkward okay. he doesn't have feelings for diego, never had, but there was this weird time of what if.

also i'm gonna add a reference for what diego looks like. this is the vibes we're going for with him (just very proper and put together, arguably a very good choice as a royal boyfriend):

Oh yes, they'll be seeing her again. I have no doubt that instead of selling his soul to save Sam, Dean would sell his soul just to get her in front of him for said ass kicking. Which is fine by me, as I said, unlike Sam I quite enjoy them being at each other's necks.

But the mystery of where she's going and why she seems so resigned to the fact that not only will she never see the boys again, but that her destination will be her final resting spot. So much intrigue. And what a beyond perfect closing song in Go Your Own Way! You have such a gift in writing out these chapters in the styling of actual episodes and that's exactly how they read - like literally watching a film reel of an episode. So much has already developed and unfolded just in these first 2 episodes that I can't even begin to imagine what rollercoaster of adventures you have planned for the future of this trio. Not just their hunting trips and personal affairs, but even just the dynamic between them. Every time a spark flashes between Zoë and one of the boys I think, there it is, there's our eventual romance taking roots. But then shortly after another spark will flash with the other brother. Sounds like we'll be in for some fun longing and jealousy on that front....Also, I love love looooove the addition of the tattoo you gave Dean! I would love it if we could hear more about that at some point.

Seriously people, this series is so fucking amazing and you are truly missing out on greatness if you haven't given it a read yet. Perfect characterizations for the Winchester Boys, amazing nostalgia with the case fic/monster of the week episodic styling, more mystery and intrigue than you could ever want in a series as well as character development, and above all else a truly badass OFC. She's tough as nails, takes no bull, sassy as all hell, smart, clever, admirable, flawed and layered with so much story to tell. There's more nuance to her than I have the ability to describe and you will absolutely fall in love with her. Or, to get a better idea of her from her creator:

S1E02 “In Bad Waters” Masterlist

The lights of the suite switch on when Zoë slips the keycard in its holder by the door. After the assault she suffered earlier today, the Hampton Inn hotel management provided her with a bigger and better accommodation. Although she doesn’t plan to spend another night in Paragould, she took the generous offer. Dean enters the spacious room as well, Sam following close behind, in case his brother needs assistance. It bugs the hell out of the older sibling, who has grumpily told him that he’s fine a couple of times already. Yet, he allows the hovering, because honestly; he doesn’t feel so fresh.

On the way over, Zoë told him to lose the soaked shirt, which contradicted Dean’s instincts, because he has never felt this cold in his entire life, despite the heaters blowing air into the Chevy at level inferno. Even now, he can’t stop himself from shivering, his teeth clattering every now and then, despite his favorite leather coat that he’s wearing, the only clothing item that didn’t get drenched.

Exhausted, he plops down on the kingsize bed, to out of it to comment on the luxurious suite. Closing his eyes for a second, he rubs his forehead, trying to rid himself from the throbbing inside his skull. He coughs again, the involuntary action burning his lungs. It’s a painful yet ironic sensation, because he didn’t expect to feel like his airway is on fire after drowning in a fucking lake.

“Get out of those wet clothes, Dean,” Zoë tells him sternly, nodding at his jeans while slipping her Harley Davidson jacket on a coat hanger. “We need to warm you up.”
