So contrary to what you’d expect, probably, Ollie goes shopping crazy. All the appliances, all the stuff he wants to buy, new laptops, technology, EVERYTHING, it’s all in his budged, and he’s gonna hoard up for the entire year.

Amelia probably goes looking for ghost hunting related things, but I feel like they wouldn’t be as popular and so there’s not that much of a change in prices… other than that, she feels like it’s the perfect opportunity to actually explore around her ghost hunting spots instead of going to the stores— I mean everyone else is busy, what better timing??

Javi, music. But he can’t really shuffle around pushing people out of the way, so he usually gets pushed to the side himself and misses out on a lot of deals because. Uhm. Crowd. Plus instruments and stuff are crazy popular.

Izzy goes for sports stuff, and she is VERY GOOD at getting what she wants. If she sets her eye on something, it’s coming into her shopping cart. NO ONE. CAN. HUSTLE. IZZY GARCIA.

Zayto and Aiyon are totally confused, and it’s actually Solon taking them, probably holding them both by hands like mom with two kids, and she gets anything she thinks looks pretty, and at the end of the day the team lands up wondering what she would do with a baby pram she got for 85% off.

Annnnnd when they all go shopping together you basically have Zayto and Aiyon pushing the carts, Ollie dashing off in his own direction whatever, BATTLES between where they’re going between Ollie and Izzy, Javi is sitting inside a trolley and standing on it to reach the top shelves because A) nobody listens to him, B) He’s sure his friends will find stuff for him too, and C) he’s too short to reach the top shelves on his own.

Cue some shoplifting on Amelia’s part too, maube teleporting out— I can see her doing that and Ollie going feral when he finds out, and then it’s Ollie and Javi trying to sneak whatever she took back into the store when she’s not looking.

And basically chaos.

Everytime I think about Obi-Wan and Anakin it’s like- I don’t ship them so much as I think they should be together at all times. I think tcw had a point, actually, and the two of them should just. Always be together. I think Anakin is Obi-Wan’s hope in an increasingly difficult life and I think Obi-Wan is Anakin’s tie to humanity when he most feels like a monster. They are intrinsically combined, from the very first movie where Obi-Wan dies at Vader’s hands with a peaceful expression.

It’s Obi-Wan begging Luke not to see Anakin in Vader while Vader searches Luke to see some sign of Obi-Wan. It’s Obi-Wan calling Anakin another pathetic lifeform to Obi-Wan being unable to process the idea of Anakin being anything but good. It’s Anakin awkwardly (adorably) shaking Obi-Wan’s hand to Anakin awkwardly (adorably) bringing up Obi-Wan during conversations with the woman he wants to seduce.

It’s Obi-Wan knowing how to fix Artoo and Obi-Wan teasing Anakin about Artoo. It’s Anakin’s first thought on losing his lightsaber being “Obi-Wan’s going to be mad at me again” and Anakin laughing when Obi-Wan tells him to drive better.

The prequel trilogy is so fascinating because my favourite parts are always Anakin and Obi-Wan. The parts I think about the most often are those parts with Anakin and Obi-Wan. The relationship between these two drives the entirety of the plot of the prequels, to the point that the literal birth mother of the main characters of the original trilogy is all but forgotten in the third movie.

It’s. Obi-Wan spending years watching over Luke because Luke reminds him of Anakin, never approaching because what if Luke really does turn out to be like Anakin…?

It’s Vader assuming that Obi-Wan taught Luke to fight, because who else could teach a Skywalker?

It’s Obi-Wan accepting all the blame for the people he knew best, the people who were basically his family, all dying.

It’s Vader keeping Obi-Wan’s lightsaber in a parallel to Obi-Wan keeping Anakin’s.

They are just. Mutually Obsessed. Obi-Wan held up Anakin and said “this is my whole personality now” and Anakin responded with “neato, same.” They bicker like an old married couple. Anakin can’t imagine even thinking about leaving Obi-Wan behind. Obi-Wan tells Anakin point-blank that he’s a good Jedi who deserves to be a Master.

I ship them because like. The universe? Does?? They are destined to be by each other, in life and in death. They support and sustain each other. There was probably eepy Force magic stuff that made Anakin into a Force ghost because Obi-Wan wanted him to be one.

How else can I explain it? They were made for each other. Like. Literally. They should never be separated. Look what happened when they did separate in universe. They are a nuclear bomb. They have to stay together or the galaxy gets the worst of it, and that’s just canon, somehow.

Standing Together is an integral piece of the peace camp. That’s why this is such a huge blow—why this feels like such a big betrayal.

Ideally, I want to see ST course correct & salvage the good graces so many people had for it instead of what it’s currently doing now, not for it to go away. But I don’t see any willingness from them to do that, and I don’t think the “too big to fail” mentality is helpful here.

Standing Together keeps fucking up. Repeatedly. They’ve received open criticism for each and every one, that they have not heeded, and actually seem to be escalating. How are you supposed to hold someone accountable if they refuse to be accountable to you? What recourse is there except (bare minimum) withdrawing support?

I’m not advocating for ST to be canceled or telling anyone to boycott them. I have made a personal choice that I cannot in good conscience support, platform, or recommend them. But I am not letting go of the goal of peace.

There are other peace orgs that don’t receive the kind of support that ST does that could use it a lot more than they can; this is as good an opportunity as any to check out alternatives & help out orgs that maybe don’t get as much attention or funding as the big purple one does.

Steve being Eddie’s bi or gay awakening whatever. Eddie thinks he’s just so grateful for Steve—I mean the man literally carried him in his arms out of hell like some mythological hero and then basically struck the fear of god on the medical staff who refused to help—so of course he’s obsessed with him, he owes him his life! Of course Eddie wants to know about his day even if Steve thinks it’s boring, of course he brings him lunch to work and maybe adds the little treats he’s seen Steve enjoys like Reese’s cups, of course he’s been listening to Pink Floyd and Dire Straits just because those are Steve’s favorites to gather inspiration. It’s only natural he’s sat Lucas down and demanded he explain the rules of basketball to him so Eddie can at least understand what’s going on when Wayne invites Steve over to watch the game. It’s not weird at all that he asked Jonathan to make a copy of that one cute picture he snapped of Steve roughhousing with Dustin when he develops the film. It’s not strange that he’s read Alice in Wonderland three times just because that’s Steve’s favorite novel. Of course he takes Steve to the movies and he buys him all the snacks he wants. It’s a given that they drive together on a weekend trip Chicago to see a show Steve’s been dying to see. The man saved his life! Eddie’s just grateful, that’s all. That’s why he’s so surprised when Robin confronts him about his “crush”, what crush?? Eddie likes girls! And yes, Steve is an attractive guy, half the town agrees, that’s not a controversial opinion. Who cares that Eddie thinks Steve could be a Hollywood heartthrob if he put his mind and talents to it. He doesn’t have a crush, that’s ridiculous. But Eddie is Eddie and he can’t just leave something be so of course he ends up cornering Nancy of all people to ask her how did she know she liked Steve back in junior year. To his absolute surprise she laughs in his face and tells him not to worry, she’s not interested, and she won’t stand in the way. She also says she’s happy for them, that she always knew Steve “played for both teams” and she’s happy he’s with someone who takes care of him. After that ridiculous conversation Nancy leaves, and Eddie is even more confused than before, because apparently Steve likes guys too, but Eddie doesn’t! Doesn’t he? Nancy is right that he likes taking care of Steve but thats because… well he’s running out of excuses isn’t he?

can we talk about how hawk and Tory hung out like all the time in seasons 2&3 and yet literally never acknowledge each other when they’re finally on the same side again in season 6. Like even Hawk and Robby in season five had an awkward little acknowledgement of each other being on the same side and how their history made that sorta weird, AND THEY BARELY HAD ANY CONVERSATIONS WITH EACH OTHER. You’re telling me Tory and Hawk “steal a snake together”, “you better watch your back” Tory and Hawk, Tory and Hawk “partners in gang violence for months” having NOTHING to say to each other
