Since I’ve never introduced my Hellsing OC I figured I’d ramble about him for a moment. I’ll also add a sort of reference sheet and other silly pieces I made for him but please ignore my doodoo art 🫶 (Sorry if it’s a bit of a tough read, mobile Tumblr is weird and I’m just rambling) I’ll also happily answer any questions about him :’3

His name is William Dianthus (Walter gave him that last name based off flowers he tended to growing on the Hellsing property, Sweet William) and he currently lives on the Hellsing property in a room in the basement that was converted into a “guest bedroom” for him. He stands at around 5’9” unless he’s wearing boots with heels and he always has his nails painted and shaped into stilettos. He IS allowed on some missions as a form of back up, and his weapon is a McMillan TAC-50 which is covered in stickers and even has some hanging charms (he used Walter’s wires to tie them there lol)

William was a failed experiment conducted by Millennium, so while he’s not a full artificial vampire, he does have some qualities they share. He was picked up by Millennium as a young child and kept in captivity while they were conducting experiments on him, and dare I say he was one of the first they experimented on due to the fact that Walter had rescued him when he and Alucard raided that location in The Dawn. He originally had regular teeth but due to the stress he felt, he pretty much filed them down in a way to cope, he pulled one out during a very bad experimentation (hence the gold tooth) and he had continued to file them down even after being rescued and brought to Hellsing.

When he first arrived, Sir Arthur was rather weary of him so he instructed Walter to lock him in with Alucard, and during this time he formed a sort of father son bond with Alucard due to being able to communicate telepathically with Alucard’s unawakened form. Walter would of course frequently visit, and even preform Yo-Yo tricks to help ease William’s fears and anxieties (yes that’s a Walter headcanon of mine) or just sit and talk about their lives. Walter stayed in the same cell with Alucard for approximately 8 months, and after he was released he got into the habit of following Walter everywhere, almost like a puppy of sorts. The two eventually formed an attraction for eachother which lead to a relationship they got into in their 20s, and to this day are still in.

When Integra took over Hellsing, William made a vow to protect her with his life, and he sees her as a sort of sibling. The same goes for Seras once she joins Hellsing. William frequently brings in strange pets as the years go on, and Integra never grew fond of this, for one exception, a small black shorthair stray William named Pumpkin due to her being a “halloweeny cat.” He had to sort of bribe Walter into allowing Pumpkin inside, stating that the cat was just like him when he was younger (and poor Walter begrudgingly allowed William to bring Pumpkin inside 😭) but Pumpkin, Walter and Integra are all sort of bonded now, so yes Pumpkin is an “official” Hellsing member! William even stitched up her own little hat and uniform lol

mordred, desperate for his hero’s approval bc no matter what he’s done emrys just stares at him with distrust and the poor boy is tired and so close to tears: no…i have magic.

percival, raised by druids and bonded strongly with mordred over that and does Not agree with the persecution of magic in camelot, had an inkling that merlin had magic but no proof: no. i have magic.

*leon and elyan exchange a look, elyan, amused and leon, exhausted, elyan shrugs*

elyan, knows how much gwen adores merlin and completely understands her stance bc merlin…is merlin, down to clown and put on a show, really playing up the dramatics: no! i have magic.

leon, exhausted, has known of merlin’s magic since he stepped foot in camelot, knows of his feelings for arthur and arthur’s feelings for him, knows arthur knows of merlin’s magic and wouldn’t harm him, thinks everyone is being absolutely ridiculous:

*the knights stare hard at leon and even merlin looks slightly offended at leon not jumping to his defense with the rest of the knights, arthur hasn’t said anything and is staring at leon expectantly*

leon, sighing: …no. i have magic.
