Okay I really enjoyed this week’s episode! It set up a bunch of cool stuff that I can’t wait to see, and it was a fun watch. We got a number of desperately needed partner/Digimon moments, and we got some much needed Taiyama friendship action going on - as well as some other stuff I super appreciated (but still want more of). I’m so stoked for how the team is coming together.

We didn’t get a few things I normally would have expected, and I’m never quite sure if I feel that way because it’s truly missing or if it’s just that “this ain’t your momma’s Digimon Adventure” yadda yadda. I don’t think i’ll ever get used to Taichi being so serious in comparison to his 99 incarnation (but, I get the feeling he is more in line with original V-Tamer Taichi, so there’s that).

So not a slam dunk for me, but all in all, it was good!

I just took as many Taiyama pics as I could so why don’t we just knock one out of the way before we begin xD

Sooo last week, the aptly named Eyesmon evolved into the equally well-named Orochimon. I always think “hydra!” (thank you Hercules) so initially my thought was that the plan would be for each of the kids to take out one head. Then I remembered, we only have six kids so far... and then I got a better look at it:

there was clearly one head that was significantly different from the others and appeared the most connected to the body! So the strategy was clearly lop off the central head because that’s what’s controlling the rest! A la VenomVamdemon only slightly less gross hahaha

Meanwhile back in real Tokyo, as Koushirou explains, the electronic pulse generated from this freaky Digimon’s battle is affecting anything digital, or even just anything that uses electricity.

Our kids try to fight but it’s pretty obvious they’re out of their league. I did totally love MetalGreymon and Zudomon leading the charge together sort of. Because I continue to be a sucker for Taichi/Jou growth parallels! Anyway they both get knocked out and de-evolve so Taichi calls for them to regroup.

yeah so everyone gets shot and falls to their separate dooms, and this was 100% just an excuse to put Taichi and Yamato alone together. The shonen action anime equivalent of “and there was only one bed!”

Meanwhile Koushirou is all cryptic and scary. That is his main job after all. You may think it’s to be the team brain, but it’s actually to make sure we viewers know just how terrible things really are so we can lose all hope of survival even though we already know they’re going to win x’D

I mean that is pretty scary tbh

Taichi breathes a sigh of relief. I wasn’t exactly surprised that he’s not running out to fight - even 99 Taichi usually understood when it was time for a strategic retreat. At the same time, maybe it’s just me, but I totally got the sense that he was scared in this scene. Not out of his head with fear, but definitely worried, I mean none of them seemed to have any effect on this monster earlier. It’s interesting to feel his tension.

“Yamato why did you just stand there in the street while we were trying to make our getaway?”

“Because... my little brother’s right in the center of danger back home... I can’t let this monster continue its rampage or he could get hurt...”

“Yeah man that’s all fine but I mean why did you just stand there in the street like an idiot I’m pretty sure you won’t be much use to your little bro if you’re steamrollered?!?!”

He looks so surprised that all this has been because of brotherly love. I can’t remember, is this the first Taichi’s hearing of Takeru? I know he wasn’t there when Yamato told Sora & co but maybe it was mentioned way back when they jogressed... Either way I wonder why he doesn’t say “I get it, I have a sister back home too that I’m worried about too.” Seems like a moment for bonding ya know?

That is the one thing I felt was missing here... we went through all the trouble of getting Taichi and Yamato alone together, and all that happens is Yamato confides something in Taichi that he’s already shared with the others. I mean, Taichi also shows his willingness to help Yamato and work together, and I think that is the important thing we’re supposed to take away, as Yamato’s all touched by it... but uh, for the most part I felt like not much happened in this scene, at least not that we haven’t already seen before.

And we actually get to see him!! His face!! His adorableness!! Ahhh Takeru I miss youuu!

Meanwhile Taichi’s mom and sis are trying in vain to evacuate while their car flips out. Hikari sees an image of Orochimon broadcast on a nearby building and flinches away. No one else seems to notice it so maybe this is just her special ability like in 99 Adventure?

Traffic’s at a complete standstill and everyone’s electronics are going bonkers so Mama Yagami has them get out and head for the trains. Unfortunately this is what everyone else decides to do as well, and Hikari winds up like Simba in the wildebeest stampede, only there’s no one to jump in and save her so she tragically dies. :P

taichi: I see your ‘brother in danger’ and raise you one ‘dead sister.’

yamato: screw you

Tentomon shyly and awkwardly tries to wring a compliment out of Koushirou too. It works, Koushirou is quick to tell Tentomon that he’s super cool as AtlurKabuterimon. I will be honest though, I wanted him to fail, just because we need to let these kids actually develop!! Their arcs are over so quickly! It took 99 Koushirou 52 episodes to be able to say “I love you” (I think it was “thank you” or something in the original Japanese but the point is he was being super honest and vulnerable at long long last). Imagine what an important moment this would have been if Tentomon’s “and me?” had been met with “huh? uh uh... I was thinking about how to defeat Orochimon... what are we talking about?”

That is something I continue to miss, not just with Koushirou but with everyone... their personal weaknesses just don’t really feel like weaknesses the way they did in 99 Adventure. And I’m just wondering why? For me, that was a driving force of what made 99 Adventure really great. It wasn’t afternoon special “stories with a moral” type drivel, because what they learned in the moment still had to build upon, and they would fail again, and learn again, and become their best selves slowly. And they’d risk a lot in the meantime. It was powerful to ten-year-old me. We are at ep 17 now and by this point in 99 Adventure, we’d had tons of scenes like that. I keep thinking “okay it’s early, we’ve got time!” but at this point it’s not so early anymore! But comparing with 99 Adventure is also a useless effort and I continue to choose to enjoy this show as its own separate thing and believe there’s still lots to come.

jokes aside... the way Yamato smiles at Taichi is so cute! It’s hesitant, but once it’s there it doesn’t waver. He’s clearly starting to get used to relying on Taichi for backup, at least, and it’s no question that he feels friendship for him and the others, he’s just reluctant to admit it. The question is how all this will hold up when the situation’s reversed.

I LOVE this particular cap, Idk, there’s something about the sheer determination on Taichi’s face and the trust in Yamato’s as he looks back at him while they ride Garurumon directly into Orochimon’s line of fire... Fizz I think you’re reading too much into the animation. DON’T MESS WITH MY DREAMS OK I KNOW THESE KIDS BETTER THAN I KNOW MYSELF

Suddenly, in the real world, the fight is broadcast on the screens!! I was expecting this to happen every time a screen flickered, but once it did, I was like wow!! they’re going to let the whole world in on the secret of the digital world already!? and I wasn’t sure how I felt about that

BUT... that’s not what happened, maybe. Because so far the only ones who for sure are seeing these images of Digimon and the Chosen Children are Hikari and Takeru. No one else reacted to Orochimon and Mama Yagami doesn’t go “hey, that’s my son!” We could argue no one noticed because they were busy evacuating like maniacs, and Mama Yagami was busy looking for Hikari on the ground and not looking up at the screens. But it feels impossible that someone wouldn’t notice! So my current theory is only Hikari and Takeru can actually see these images... at least for now.

The fight rages. Meanwhile, the others soon catch up, as the only reason they were separated in the first place was to let Taichi and Yamato have a Moment. One thing I really liked though was Sora more or less leading the charge to join Taichi and Yamato. I want more of “second in command Sora” now and forever. (My personal headcanon since I was a kid was always that if something happened to Taichi, Sora, not Yamato, would take over. Tri did not go that way though :P)

They beat Orochimon by taking off his central head, as predicted. Then they all go and take a nap in the street. It is full of d’awww.

We got a glimpse of Hikari in a similar moment BUT... I’m not convinced Hikari will truly be joining us. She was separated from her mom and is clearly going to have a Digimon interaction of some sort like Takeru, but I think this is “eighth child” build up, one because the current ending theme is completely Takeru centric, and two because it just makes sense to me that Takeru would be Crisis One and Hikari will be Crisis Two. Idk of course it’s just a hunch.

maybe though Hikari’s swept away by those people, gets her Digivice, then is promptly captured by... idk evil Digimon, or shady government officials? More likely, she gets her digivice and helps but keeps it a secret and plans to show her brother when they reunite... we’ll see!

Waking up earlier than most had never been an issue for one who’d once been hoisted to tailgate certain schedules, a manmade-ticking clock in order to train herself to become seamless in her job, and that particular aptitude she had used less as of recently for freedom had plastered her like a warm coat ever since she managed to slip out of their vice embrace and into the one all coddled by her husband’s. However, for today’s occasion alone, she had taken entire use of it to slip out of his cradle without him realizing it ( or at least she hoped so — the former agent was able to be as quiet as a mouse, but she was also very acutely-aware of her spouse’s pattern, the disturbed slumbers she had learned when they had been fooling around beneath the lights of those lustrous clubs, not entirely certain if he truly didn’t notice or pretended not to ), begrudingly at first, but she had to remind herself that she was doing all of this for him. Birthdays were not necessarily a mucked concept for the raven-haired — hers had always been celebrated, though at times they could have been bereft of sincerity, but enough to keep the peculiarly innocuous killer on her toes and attached to the faction she had been in — however, she was not precisely an expert in hosting it up in lieu of being the one sitting on the other side of the chair. With that being said, it did not mean that she wouldn’t at least attempt for him, desiring to dedicate the day for the love of her life and him only, aware that he had been drained out of any kinds of joviality almost the entirety of his life and to further adorn her oath of making it all up for him, she would be doing her best effort today. Not to mention, she herself had been bestowed by a gift the other night, after days and weeks of fiddling with tests and ultimately receiving the confirmation she had always sought. A second chance, of sorts, and to say that she was eager to present that to him would be an utter understatement. She was ecstastic — however, opting to bridle herself for the time being would likely be wise. The last thing she’d want was to overwhelm him, especially due to the recent events.

Going into the bathroom and flourishing her jet-black locks in a pair of pigtails, just like how he would enjoy it, she had ordered something special from last night — a coconut cake which she had also contributed in making a few times she had excused herself to venture out and relish the view, it was delivered with subtle knocks to their trailer, and she was hasty in placing it down on the round table. All of this wasn’t necessarily easy to pull, and she was worried he would be able to sniff out what she had planned rather quick, but even if he did, it shouldn’t deter the value and genuinity she had implied. The trailer was small, and she had to be cautious in her movements if she did not want to be wake up the little devils that could easily spot  them and then fret over the sight of the cake. She had ensured they would be as snug as possible, though, and she had sworn to herself that she would be beyond willing to act as a super-mom today if she needed to bounce back-and-forth and patting them down to their sleep all over again should they find that necessary. however, life at court has not exactly been what she expected ---- her relationship with her husband is really not like the one her parents had --- he doesn’t love her, and she thinks it might be something she’s doing wrong, and so --- she starts kind of compensating with being very social, and hosting lavish events. she has come to notice that everyone at court is playing some sort of game, and with the courtesies and smiles her mother taught her, she’s learning how to play it. 

tl;dr : local spoiled girl’s bubble is bursted. life is not a song... and court actually kinda sucks.

More thoughts -mostly headcanons- about the Dirty Dawg (December 4th, 2017 - inb4 being invalidated by official info).

Also, consider that I’m more or less excluding the little reading skit’s context from the AGF17, because my JPN language understanding is VERY obviously low.

The more I think about it, there’s a high chance Samatoki was the leader of this group, as well. If, say, Ichiro was at best 17 years old, I don’t think he may have been leader as a high schooler. Jakurai may be properly have stayed on the sidelines as a medic. Ramuda is creative, but perhaps I don’t really see him fit as leader of this “legendary” group.

The other three wouldn’t really want to mess with Samatoki, who is mostly “trigger happy” if provoked, and since he has the yakuza on his favor...

Ethics mostly worked around the “team work”. It worked for a while, but eventually personalities would try to clash one with the other. Jakurai was a mediator (as the oldest, and mostly observant), even though he had problems of his own with Ramuda.

Samatoki kinda looked over Ichiro, originally. Not only because he was a minor, but maybe his family situation reminded of his own.

Ichiro may have looked at Samatoki as a “role model”, in turn. He, who didn’t have an older brother of his own, but was one himself.

Although Ramuda is older than Ichi, he still wanted to be treated at his own level. He even displayed some interest in his own hobbies!

In turn, Ramuda would always test his newer fashion designs on him (the rest of the crew wasn’t as ecstastic about it, though).

About being close or being friends: I don’t think they all treated in the same level as “friends”, even though they would feel “close” to each other. It could have been... complicated to say the best. Nowadays, they still refer to each other as “(ex) work partners”, but nothing more.

Things start to scramble once they couldn’t come to a common agreement of an specific case. They wanted to work on their own sides, it became a mess as a result.

Ichiro is the one who wanted to act on his own at first, due to his hot blooded nature. At times, he seemed to be more “leader” material than Samatoki, who also had to live through issues he had with his own people at the mafia. At some point, it started ticking Samatoki off, going from “man, this kid has potential” to “why a kid like him is leading my team” and stuff like that.

Jakurai could easily see that Ramuda’s “cute” and cheery personality was (could be, not confirmed yet?) a facade. Under his breath, he always replied how fake he sounded. Ramuda, irritated, became more imp-like around Jakurai: he became more sarcastic, and started playing mind games with him.

As a result, when he couldn’t tick him off (due to his calm nature), Ramuda considered Jakurai as “very boring to play with”. And Jakurai... didn’t take that statement VERY well. (*cue hyp mic being used*)

The incident that may have separated them off definitely may have worked two ways: either Samatoki was going to do something that was against Ichiro’s own beliefs... or it was Ichiro who was going to do so, but it was out of Samatoki’s own beliefs. Samatoki is probably right that Ichi is an “hypocrite” if he acted against his orders, and/or if he may be referring to that one time and attempt to stay true to his own “beliefs”. Ichiro, who is not interested in bullying the weak except higher powered individuals, and Samatoki, who became a yakuza as a way to provide a better life for his little sister (and wouldn’t lay a hand on a woman)... who is on the right all along?

This may have been an incident that couldn’t have involved Jakurai and Ramuda at all. They maybe don’t know the entire story but just their respective versions. So, siding with who was right or not was “silently kept to themselves”. They like Ichiro, but they also respect Samatoki as a leader figure. They all leave on bittersweet (but somewhat friendlier) terms.

Jakurai is still on contact with Ichiro,at least during the first few months after The Dirty Dawg’s disbandment. Those calls started to become rare and rarer as time progressed, however.

Ramuda is still on contact with Ichiro, but mostly of it is online (if internet still works as such as ours in the H-era?), like... just liking posts, or pictures on social media... and that’s it. Rarely asks help to him.

Same about trying to maintain contact with Samatoki... but it became much more difficult - it’s just that the guy became impossible to get in contact with.

About addressing to each other, the way Ichiro and Samatoki refer to each other w/o honorifics nowadays is like spewing venom from their mouths. THAT’S how bitter they are about that incident. They would still be referring to the others with honorifics... but the hate is VERY present.

Yoosung was ecstastic because MC would be visiting his university to write a report about 

“I’m confused MC what’s this for again?”

“I’m telling you Yoosung, I need a survey from universities nearby. Why? You don’t want me to visit?”

“Of course I want! It’s just I can’t believe you’d pick my school when there’s one much closer to yours”

“Silly, it’s scary going to an unknown university alone. Knowing you’d be there puts me to ease” 

She kissed his cheek as he sighed in content

The following day, Yoosung waited for MC, giddy but anxious

But she didn’t really come on the time she said she would be going

So he looked for her

And he found her talking to some of his friends 

They were all crowding her as she happily talked to them

He felt himself go itchy seeing the scene but willed it away

But when one of his friends grabbed a hold of her hand muttering a “You’re beautiful”, he quickly got to her side and placed his arm around her shoulder

“I see you’ve met my girlfriend”

He made sure to emphasize on the word as his friends stared at him in bewilderment

“She’s your girlfriend? Oh sorry bro I didn’t mean to-”

“Yeah yeah it’s totally cool I just wanted you guys to know”

They put their hands up as they snickered at how jealous he’s becoming

Yoosung turned her around as they started walking the other direction, waving his hand 

Once they got to a deserted hallway he pinned her to the wall

Grasping his hands on her hips he started making out with her

“You’re mine” He growled

“Yoosung” she said breathless against him as he started attacking her neck with kisses

“Yoosung what are you doing”

“Showing them who you belong to”

ZEN

Zen wanted to take MC as his plus one in the party celebrating the success of the musical he was in

She was dressed in a slightly revealing dress and when she came out Zen had his mouth hung low

Placing butterfly kisses along her collarbone he said

“Don’t tempt me tonight, Babe”

Booping on his nose she slightly pushed him away

“Whoa there control yourself”

Zen pouted as they drove to their destination

There were many people, the crew included

Zen was actually mingling alot with the people around so he kind of left MC

She was slightly mad but she knows he means no harm

But she was quite bored 

So she took a few drinks and was starting to have fun with the company of other people

Zen was still nowhere to be found

One guy found his way to her and started talking to her

He was alright and didn’t look like he would do something bad so they talked nearly all night

With each passing minute MC kept drinking and before she knew it she was buzzed

She was faltering in her steps as the guy steadied her

“You know what you’re a cute little drunk lady. Do you want to come home with me?” He smirked

MC felt disgusted and pushed him off 

She then felt strong arms around her as she was pulled towards Zen’s body

“This cute little drunk lady is with me” The intensity of his glare made MC shrink back a bit

“If you so ever lay another hand on her I will ruin you, do you understand?”

The guy gulped as he left

“Now cmon little lady, you made me worry tonight”

JUMIN:

MC was in his office again

I mean what can she say? It was quite boring to be in the penthouse all day

She was acually roaming around the building and was greeting people wherever she goes

They all adore her

They all adore her to the point where MC starts receiving these mysterious flowers

She doesn’t know where it comes from but it always appears in her desk in her own little personal office Jumin made especially for her

She thought it was Jumin who sent them but when she asked if he went to a florist that day he was only confused

These flowers even had notes in them like

‘You are beautiful’

‘The brightness of the sun cannot compare to you’

‘You capture the hearts of many, and I am enraptured by you’

She thought it was pretty sweet but it felt awkward coming from another person

So she was trying to find out who this was, going around trying to find possible clues

Jumin noticed her odd actions thought and confronted her about it

She was slightly embarassed to be honest

“Um.. its just i’ve been trying to find out who keeps giving me these flowers”

Jumin stared at her blankly

Someone was… giving her flowers?

A sudden possesiveness came over him

Someone was sending his love flowers. Only he can do something as intimate

So when he told MC to check the CCTV she slapped a hand to her face for not thinking about it earlier

So they were rewinding tapes and Jumin would not go back to his duties until the culprit was found

This guy doesn’t give flowers to someone’s beloved and get away from it, no

So they caught this guy and Jumin confronted him telling him to stay away from MC and that she was his and his only

Everyday after that, Jumin would send her the most extravagant of bouquets 

JAEHEE:

Jaehee and MC were working in their coffee shop when a bunch of rowdy customers came in

They were really causing a ruckus and everyone was getting annoyed

But MC still had to accomodate them

They starting snickering at her when she came over

“She’s so ugly” one said

MC was suddenly aware of how she looked and how she acted

She was feeling really insecure as she clenched her fist, willing her tears away

But still she put a brave smile on

“What would you guys want to have?” She asked

“Hm, we’ll have the other waitress please” 

The group laughed and high fived each other as MC looked down

Soon arms wrapped around her shoulders as Jaehee stood menacingly towards them

They slightly cowarded at the look she was giving them as Jaehee spoke in a firm, commanding voice

“If you want to speak like that to the people working here then you will never be welcome back to this place. MC is the owner of this cafe and I would not tolerate your harsh words towards her, now pick your bags up and leave this instance” 

MC could tell Jaehee was holding back and when the group scurried over to the door, one gave them a look before sticking their tongue out and walking away

Jaehee’s glasses broke as she strated marching, wanting to judo them into oblivion

MC grabbed her wrist to stop her and kissed her cheek

“Thank you for saving me”

“Of course, MC. I would never let them do anything to you”

The next following days, Jaehee had been watching each and every customer MC served like a hawk

And everytime there was someone remotely rude to her she was sure to come and give them a piece of their mind

SEVEN:

They were at at disneyland celebrating their anniversary

MC loved the fact that Seven really does go out of his way when he really wants to

He was supposed to be working on something important but told her he would come on a condition that she would let him work sometime of the day while they were there

MC agreed because she understood the weight of his task 

So here they are, hand in hand struting along

They were having fun, playing games and riding different kinds of rides

MC loved taking pictures with the mascots

She especially loved taking pictures with mickey

He was actually very… clingy

But MC being oblivious paid no mind

He would link his arm around hers and they would walk together

Seven could almost feel the smirk behind the mask

They both kind of fought for MC

Mickey stayed with them for a duration of time and he would actually hold her hand

MC thought it was super cute 

Seven then decided to grab her other hand and kiss it, making her laugh by cracking some jokes

Then mickey bent down a bit and pointed at his cheek

MC kissed it

“That damn mouse, what is he doing with my girlfriend”

Seven then tried to drag her along to come to  another place but mickey came along with them, often dancing and getting cheek kisses from MC

Seven was fuming

He gave mickey the harshest glare he could muster and dragged MC away from him for good this time

Mickey created sad gestures as he skipped away

Seven breathed in relief

They spent a good amount of time after that until Seven told her he needed to work with the guilt on his face

MC gave his hand a little squeeze “It’s completely fine, I’m just going to play with the arcades here”

So Seven found a secluded place to stay and work but can’t help but feel something wrong at the back of his mind

After enconding some things, he got up to look for her

And lo and behold again it was mickey standing by her

This time with his mask off so he could see the man behind it

They were laughing as Seven came up to them and gripped her waist

Spinning her around he gave her a deep kiss

They were practicically were making out in front of mickey

He got so embarassed and apologized as he walked away

That’s right you mouse, get away from me my love 

“Seven! what are you doing!” MC asked in shock with her cheeks tinted red

He gave her a little peck on the lips 

“Just needed to show him who you belong to, I’ve always like goofy more than him anyways”

SAERAN:

They were strolling by the bay, a little getaway for them

Saeyoung suggested an outing with just the three of them

Saeran was reluctant but the fact that MC would be there coaxed him into it

I mean he probably wouldn’t allow MC and Saeyoung to be alone

So here they are at a secluded bay Saeyoung found

Seyoung was back in their little campsite to give them some privacy because cmon he only wanted to have this outing to play cupid

So MC and Saeran walked, fingers brushing against the other

His cheeks were tinted a light pink because of their proximity

But when MC moved away Saeran slightly grumbled

She only stood atop of the mini wall that seperates the ground from the sea

Easy to fall over to the other side 

Saeran’s eyes widened a fraction 

“You idiot, get down”

MC pouted

“Aw why are you such a meanie, Saeran. Killing the fun”

“I”m not killing the fun, i’m serious get down from there”

“Get down from where? I can’t hear you”

She made faces and giggled 

As she was laughing, her footing stumbled and she shrieked as she was wobbling to get her balance

Saeran’s face darkened as he quickly got to her and yanked on her arm, pulling her and crashing unto him, making them both fall down

Saeran was hugging MC close to him, his heart racing at what could have been

MC was still in a state of shock and thought Saeran was mad at her

But when she found the gentle caress of his hands trembling, that’s when she knew he was terrified

“G-God MC you” His voice was laced with worry

MC bashfully faced him and looked down where she was fiddling with his shirt

“I’m sorry”

“You better be sorry. Look what could have happened if I didn’t!- You could have- Ugh”

POST UR RANT im also sad :((( about the tour dates

Worry not we can cry collectively

Okay so I saw this post go around saying that “we shouldn’t be upset because we didn’t get tour dates and that BTS is doing their best” and so on and yeah, first of all DAMN RIGHT I GOT A RIGHT TO BE UPSET HOW DARE YOU (I’ll explain further why) and honestly I think no one is questioning wether Bangtan is doing their best or not, it’s pretty obvious that this album is just something else.

Anyhow, here is your 20+ y/o Sociology Masters anti-systematic fellow ARMY to spill some tea. Ahem.

I want to start by saying that I absolutely adore what BTS has done over the years, their growth and I do not mean to offend anyone, I am not shading them or BigHit, I am SHAMING the entertainment industry. I think that it’s amazing that BTS is not only empowering youth but is also sharing their newly found power and success over the world with people that share the same values as them, as a form of collectivity (they really make me believe there is still good in the world) but they are well... an idol group that belongs to the entertainment industry and as much as we hate to admit, it all comes down to yeah, numbers (yay capitalism amirite) specially ever since they took over the world so here’s the thing:

They can’t afford to lose the powerful westernised countries that allow them to top those charts that have given them the opportunity to smash down doors and allowed them to pave the way for other K-artists. Strategic cities are key here.

I am not even going to start with Japan/Korea bc I mean- it is pretty obvious.

But here is the scalding tea my dudes, and honestly the only fact that I’m screaming over. What. About. Smaller. Regions. That. Give. Massive. Numbers.? Huhhh? I’m talking South Asia & LATAM (I’ll address Mexico’s case in a bit bc I know about it a whole lot) it’s time to learn some marketing/social concepts. There is this oh so amazing thing called reciprocity, it is usually applied on international terms but it really fits here so yeah, basically you are meant to give just as much as you are given. That’s it. In economic terms, narrowed down to BTS this means: yeah, a large amount of numbers are given by this smaller regions and it is just fair to give something back (I’m talking industry level here okay, I don’t just mean being acknowledge by the guys) even if you zoom it out to a region e.g. if LATAM is on your top 5 of charting, it is just fair to give at least 1 date to some country in the region, this is called being politically correct and man, the numbers it will give you, bc we work collectively, the whole region is going to be ecstastic if one country is taken into account otherwise... the threat of losing numbers for feeling left out is just-something that is worth thinking over once or twice (and same goes for you know, South Asia, Australia, Africa, etc)

Of course there are a lot of other factors that should be taken into account like economic and security wise but yeah...there are many options to chose from and actually work out something amazing and mutually beneficial.

Now onto the specific Mexican case, some people are saying that they’ve already had projects like ‘BT21’ and ‘POP-UP HOUSE’ but let me tell you sth as someone that has experienced this first handedly, these two projects have only served as a market analysis and as far as I know, they’ve turned out even better than they had planned. I mean, the opening day, they had to restock twice bc ARMY was sweeping their credit cards left and right. Plus, I talked to one of BigHit’s staff members and she told me that “if they were to meet the sales goal, it would serve as a bonus towards bringing BTS for a concert” and I just feel clowned ok 🤡

In conclusion, yeah, you have every right to feel whatever it is you are feeling. Just keep in mind that as much as we love these boys and admire them and everything they do, tour dates are part of one of the darkest places in music industry, especially since they come all the way from Korea and their shows are out of this world (logistic costs and all that jazz). The disappointment is just thanks to some systematic decisions that goes beyond them and the agency. And we are all clowns 🤡🤡🤡

Also, this type of behaviour (ignoring specific regions that inflates numbers) is often seen in international groups/artists that are just starting out and then expand but BTS has been around for 7 years so as much as I hate to say it, who knows how much time we have left with them as a group before they take the wheel of their own life bc I mean they’re people after all, with personal goals, not just professional ones. [Fair warning I don’t wanna see u coming at me bc ‘what about their mental health?’ Or whatevs ofc I care and it falls into the “other factors” I am talking on a systematic level, aight]

I feel as if I’ll always be lonely. Your circles really do get smaller as you get older but to lose a friend of twelve years is something else. I already have a hard time making friends and sustaining friendships/relatonships because I have this eternal fear that I will be abandoned at some point. It’s only becoming worse but I now I cannot let these things set me back but I am such an emotional person and that is all I feel. I just feel and my emotions guide my thinking and judging and the emotions are so intense that I don’t know what to do anymore.

Self-harm got boring. My suicide attempts clearly didn’t work. Alcohol makes me aggressive and overly emotional. Uppers like ecstast make me feel like I’m on top of the world but I cannot live life high on drugs, in a distorted reality. I abused xanax the other day because I knew it would knock me out due to my low tolerance. There’s nothing to stabilise my emotions and drown the noise in my head. I’ve been feeling extremely suicidal again and I just feel as if I’m burning the bridges all round me of out my pain.

All my friends feel temporary and it feels as if they all have someone who they’re closer to. I feel as if the only person in my life who I can speak to and open up to now is my boyfriend and I just feel alone and isolated. Even with that relationship, it is hard work and mostly because of me. We are such strong characters that when we clash, we clash hard and it feel catastrophic but when every thing is clam, it feels like heaven. However, that relationship too feels as if it is teetering on the edge. I feel so selfish and act so selfish because I want his sole attention but being when you’re with a creative, there is no such thing as sole attention. It’s them, their art and you. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that but it is something that is to get used.

I can’t take it anymore. I really don’t want to be here. I never wanted to be here. I never planned to stay alive this long and because of it, I am constantly lagging behind, coming up with plan after plan and worrying about the future because it is not something I have thought about.

I just feel so awful. I can’t even create the way I used to. I can’t even achieve academically the way I used to. It really does feel as if there is nothing left for me and I am just desperately clutching at people and activities just so I can stay tethered to this world. 

I don’t understand what is wrong with me. I have tried counselling and failed that. I did all my CBT sessions which helped to an extent but I feel that for my issues, it was too superficial. I cannot afford psychotherapy and I do not want to be told that I’m fine because I know I am not. I haven’t been fine since I was 13 but the feelings of isolation and being unloved have been with me since I was a child and have only grown worse as I grew up.

This past Sunday was WWE SummerSlam, one of the biggest sports entertainment events of the year. Like WrestleMania, SummerSlam includes matches from both Raw and Smackdown brands, which means the event was chock full of heavily anticipated matches—especially the Fatal 4-Way for the Universal Championship.

Did you miss SummerSlam last night while catching up on Game on Thrones? Not to worry: Muscle & Fitness attended SummerSlam at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, and we've rounded up the seven best moments from the event.

7. Sasha Banks Ends Alexa Bliss's Reign

Alexa Bliss has dominated the Raw's women division since the Superstar Shake-Up earlier this year, with many wondering if anyone would be able to take her down. Originally, Bayley was poised to fight Bliss for the title, but due to a shoulder injury, the No.1 contender title went to her friend Sasha Banks.

After a lengthy back and forth, Sasha managed to trap Bliss in the Bank Statement, with "The Boss" taking home the victory. Interestingly, unlike other matches, the crowd appeared to be supportive of both Banks and Bliss instead of just rooting for one superstar. Bliss may be a villain, but there's no doubt she's won over the crowd.

6. Natalya Triumphs Over Naomi

Naomi has proven herself as a capable Smackdown Women's Champion, having defended her title on numerous occasions. However, Natalya has made it clear that she's been hungry for the belt, and proved as much by winning a match for the No.1 contender slot on Smackdown.

While Naomi was able to hold her own in the ring, Natalya's explosive strikes and devastating sharpshooter (a Hart family staple) gave her the advantage. However, the biggest surprise of this match is what DIDN'T happen: Carmella has been taunting superstars for weeks with her Money In The Bank briefcase, yet she still hasn't cashed in her title shot, despite having a perfect opportunity to do so. We can only assume she's biding her time.

5. John Cena Settles the Score with Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin has had a bad week.

In the last episode of Smackdown Live, Corbin decided to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, only lose to Jinder Mahal in seconds thanks to a distraction by John Cena. Corbin had hoped to get his retribution against Cena at SummerSlam, but The Face that Runs the Place wasn't going down without a fight.  While both superstars had their fans in the audience, Cena was able to land an Attitude Adjustment for the pin.

4. Finn Bálor Unleashes "The Demon King" On Bray Wyatt

After weeks of taunting and abuse from Bray Wyatt, Finn Bálor finally decided that desperate times call for desperate measures.

Balor emerged from the stage as The Demon King, to thunderous applause from the audience. What followed was a vicious assault on The Eater of Worlds, with Bálor proving to Wyatt that sometimes it's better to just let sleeping demons lie.

3. Jinder Mahal Resorts to Dirty Tactics Against Shinsuke Nakamura

Few current champions are as reviled as Jinder Mahal—since winning the WWE Championship in a stunning upset at Backlash a few months ago, Mahal has resorted to tricks and hired help to keep his hold on the championship. His latest match against the eccentric fan favorite Shinsuke Nakamura proved no different, as once again a distraction from the Singh Brothers was enough for Mahal to surprise Nakamura and pin him for the victory. He might not have as many fans as Nakamura, but Mahal is determined to use any means necessary to keep his top spot.

2. The Shield reunites to take down Sheamus and Cesaro

There's been weeks of speculation and rumors, but it finally happened: Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins put aside their differences and reunited in a partial reunion of The Shield, the stable that Ambrose and Rollins were members of along with Roman Reigns. The crowd was ecstastic to see Ambrose and Rollins back together to take on their mutal enemies, Cesaro and Sheamus.

What followed was tense and unpredictable, including Cesaro going into the crowd to destroy a giant beach ball the audience was playing with: Apparently, he's not a fan of theatrics.

Ultimately, Rollins took out both superstars in a stunning finish. Time will tell if the alliance between Rollins and Ambrose will last, but there's no doubt the crowd was delighted to see the the two together again.

1. Brock Lesnar Reigns Supreme In Chaotic Fatal 4 Way

Few main events have been as hyped as this year's SummerSlam, and for good reason: The match pitted four of WWE's biggest and most ruthless superstars (Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar) against each other for the WWE Universal championship. And, thankfully, it was just as insane as you would've hoped. While all four superstars made their presence known, the real star of the match was Strowman, who destroyed his competition and went as far as to throw a table on top of Lesnar. Eventually, Lesnar recovered and came out on top, meaning he's not leaving the WWE just yet.

Should we leave dogs in the house all day?

A friend and I once left his house to do something and in doing so, locked his dog inside of his house, whimpering after us dejectedly. When we returned forty minutes later, the dog was ecstastic. He jumped up my friend, elated to be reunited with his master, but my friend brushed him aside and remarked; "What's his problem? We were only gone like 1/2 an hour." "True," I replied. "But half an hour in dog time is much longer. So it probably felt like ages to him." At the time, I thought this was a witty response, but Biscuit wanted to investigate whether this was a valid claim to make. The old adage is that a 'dog year' is approximately 7 of our 'human' years. Therefore, if a dog lives for 12 years that means it has 'really' lived a lovely, long life for a dog of about 84 years. So, arguably (or as my previous self argued to my friend and his ecsastic dog) if a dog is left for an hour by itself, it would feel like it had been alone for seven times that amount. By this logic, if a dog is left alone an entire day, it feels more like the most part of a week!

The premise of this argument is that time is relative. Whilst this is a statement popularly used and regarded to be true, it is less understood what our time is relative to. I mean, relative to what exactly? Sometimes time is entangled with enjoyment and our 'feeling' of how it passes. For example, often we perceive time passing shorter or longer depending on how content we are in a situation. Waiting for the new Rick and Morty season has been long enough simply because Biscuit has been so unhappy without it in her life. But also our sense of time is always working against, or alongside, our construct of our own imagined timeline. These timelines are how long we imagine living until and time is relative to how much we have left. For example, ten years in a prison is such a painful punishment when understood that it is almost 1/7th of somebody's life. A train being delayed for an hour is more frustrating when understood against somebody's timeline of having 4 hours free in their evening to see their family. Time has no meaning on its own, but we subscribe meaning to it based on what we want to do with that time. On this premise, assuming time is relative to dogs as it is to us, by leaving a dog for days alone, the dog suffers from relativity on two fronts: on one hand, they're bored out of their mind so time perceives to move more slowly, but on the other hand, the dogs have a shorter imagined timeline than our own meaning that the stretch of time that they are left for is 'longer' for them according to their construct of net time lost in accordance to the gross amount of 'time' that they can experience. The first question to ask should be whether dogs experience time differently to ourselves. Surely the life of a gnat or a housefly, of which the lifespan is only a matter of days in total - is radically different to our own sense of time. They feed, mate, metabolise on a radically different levels to ourselves - so much so that their 3 days on this Earth feels like a lifetime. However, the same cannot be said for a dog necessarily. Partly because of the size difference making metabolism similar, but also because dogs, like humans are diurnal (opposite of nocturnal - although some species are crepuscular). Both animals have adapted their sleeping and eating patterns to fit the Earth's rotations around the Sun. In that respect, time is therefore probably measured, or 'felt' by responding to the Sun. In this respect, the way that dogs experience the passing of time would be remarkably similar to the way that humans do it. However the consequence of this is only worrying if we agree that dogs understand and process time against an overall 'timeline' of their own lives. The question therefore becomes whether dogs really have a sense of their own timelines - do dogs understand when they should die in relation to where they live now? Do dogs have any understanding of mortality and that they will die? Do dogs understand that a year of ourtime is worth seven of theirs? We might argue that all animals sense their own mortality. They run on instinct- an innate fear of death. But fearing eath is different to understanding that you willdoe. Arguably the only reason that humans understand death is because they are taught the processes of life; they start young, they age, they see their grandparents pass away and then they are eventually taught about how they should expect to die around the age of 80 onwaords. But dogs aren't taught that - yes, they might age and feel themselves becoming older and weaker, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they can predict when they will die. So, logically, if they have no construction of their own imagined timeline, the they can have no real understanding of the relativity of their time in comparison to our own. In comparison, dogs do not fear mortality as we do. Although they sense time as we do, they feel that theirs is infinite. An infinite time of catching sticks and fetching plastic bones.

Jotaro Kujo was dead. Well finally, Dan’s bones ached at the mere mention of that particular Joestar. After the beating he had reciever it took him months to recover in the hospital, and many more after that to regain what he had lost. The function of his legs, beng able to finally write again without shaking so much that he dropped the pencil. It took almost a full year to regain what he had in the past, and even then, Dan was a mere shadow of his former self. Until now it still hurt to even get out of bed sometimes.

Hearing that the great Jotaro Kujo was dead..... why did it not bring a smile to his face? Normally Dan would have been ecstastic over the fact that his old enemy had been defeated. It took a moment for him to realise why. Jotaro was no weak opponent, heck, not even Dio could defeat him. And for someone to actually kill the man.... what did they have to do to perform the deed? What kind of stand did they have? And most importantly, why did they kill Jotaro Kujo?
