re: loki show. What disappoints me the most is that I was dumb enough to convince myself that the writers had a grand plan to turn the 'potential' of season 1 into something that was actually good in season 2, even though much of season 1 was frankly not very well-written. It always felt disjointed, and I chalked it up to the fact that the season was shot during the pandemic and only 6 episodes long. But those are excuses. I gave them grace that they didn't deserve. Of course Marvel is going to fall back on poorly-executed scifi tropes and no real (believable) emotional payoff. They know their target audience, and I'm not one of them.
