ok sorry for one million posts but im currently elbow-deep in pubmed articles trying to see if there’s two ways to answer this vaguely-worded question in a homework i’m doing

#i know what the answer they WANT is but i also think there might be a different answer that they didn't intend #the question is worded stupid it's like:#write the chemical equations whose equilibrium constants are Kb1 and Kb2 for the amino acid serine and find their numeric values #they WANT the equations for the protonation of serine conjugate base bc it's a diprotic acid #but *i* know that serine is amphoteric/amphiprotic and can also act as a base #so i'm looking to see if serine is dibasic so i can 'gotcha' them into a second answer #and a zero on the question
