[Alright. As promised, here is a bit more comprehensive post of what I plan to do moving forward on this blog.

As mentioned, I think I'm going to give this blog something of a reset. Not a full one, but it's going to be pretty close. Basically, I want to start over in some regards. It's been a long time coming, frankly, and the cause of my hiatus has only urged me to go ahead and cut the cord. Here is how that will look:

🌻 I will be deleting all the drafts I have and starting with a clean rping slate. After so long away and for my general sanity, I think this will be easiest. If there's a thread we have that you absolutely want to continue, let me know! But I would honestly rather start up new threads entirely instead (which we can of course discuss!). 🌻 I am going to basically reset all ships outside of a few (who I've already talked to). I was starting to feel...I don't know if overwhelmed is the right word, but it's all I can think of. So, I'm kinda going to start a new slate with that, too. I am more than willing to keep ships if people want to keep them as is, but, otherwise, I'm going to reset them. I'm still open to shipping the same ships again, but if I don't hear from people, I'm going to assume that if we pursue a ship with our muses again, we're starting over (I hope this made sense; I've been struggling to fine a way to word this for days :/). 🌻 This is more for me, but there are some bios I'm going to be updating for story-related reasons. Just small background changes that probably won't be all that noticeable. 🌻 I don't know when, but I'm going to bring in a test muse! Maybe tomorrow, depending on how I feel. Buuuut. It could be a fun one. Will probably be iconless because I'm lazy, but then again, the OCD might kick in and I'll see about making a few.

I think that covers it. In short, I'm just basically doing a small reset and starting over here. Not completely, but a decent amount for the sake of my sanity and comfort. I'm not going to be a total hardass about all this, and I hope this won't hurt anyone's feelings as that's not the intent! With everything that happened and the bad feels I started getting on this blog, I just think it's necessary. As always, my DMs are always open for plotting or chatting. RULES:

Basics:

1. Be respectful. Don’t be a jerk, don’t write my character in threads, don’t send anon hate, don’t be rude to anyone. Use common sense and common courtesy.

2. Thread replies typically come within two weeks. I know it seems like a long time, but I have a lot going on, and a lot of muses. If I have replied to many other threads and it has been over two weeks, you are free to remind me about our thread, as long as you do it in a nice way. Given, of course, I’m not on a hiatus.

3. Though I consider myself a nonselective blog, there are some simple things that will make me hesitant to roleplay with you. They are:

• Hating my muses or the way I portray them

• Roleplaying in the first person/second person

• Rushing me

• Godmodding

• Refusal to interact OOC, pestering me for a thread idea after I say no, and/or breaking any other one of my rules

• Leaving extremely short replies when my replies are longer

That being said, you do NOT have to match length for a thread! I will not roleplay with people who write one-liners for me, and I may unfollow you if you clutter the dash. However, I will still roleplay with you.

4. REBLOG MEMES FROM THE SOURCE. If you reblog it from me, send it to me. This has become a huge annoyance to me. Breaking this rule multiple times will earn you a softblock. No ifs, ands, or buts.

2. Crossovers! Just ask me!

3. Random asks, plots, memes, starters, and interactions!

4. OC’s! As long as you have a background page.

5. OOC interactions!

Shipping:

1. Ask me first. You can straight-up ask me, and I won’t be offended or weirded out. You do you!

2. If I say no, accept it. Don’t fight me. And who knows? Maybe chemistry will come with time, but I’ll let you know if that happens.

3. I do write smut, but not with anyone under the age of 18. And don’t lie. I’m 19, so I’m still young, but I will write NSFW content.

Triggers:

1. I don’t really have any triggers, but I will put trigger warnings on my post. If you have any specific triggers, please put them in your rules or tell me directly.

Extras:

1. Mun DOES NOT equal muse! If our muses hate each other, it doesn’t mean I hate you. If our muses are in love, it doesn’t mean I’m in love with you.

2. All memes and starter calls I post are PERMANENT! You can like them anytime or send them in anytime, and I will reply! However, I am not a meme source. Either reblog the meme from the source or reblog it from me and send it to me. This is extremely important!

3. Just because one of my muses is “very selective about threads” doesn’t mean you can’t send in memes to them! But I may not be able to reply to all of them. If this happens, I will contact you directly through IM.

4. I would prefer it if you would let me know if you’re dropping one of our threads. That being said, I understand people are busy, and this is not a “make-or-break” rule. It would just be greatly appreciated.

5. I’m currently iconless. I’m working on getting icons soon, but right now, I’m iconless.

6. Some of my muses (Ramsay Bolton, Crowley, even Anakin Skywalker, etc.) are EXTREMELY POWERFUL. One of my pet peeves is when people write characters that purposefully provoke them. Listen, if you’re going to insult and/or disrespect one of my powerful characters, be prepared for the consequences against your character. And don’t do it often, because some of my muses would gladly kill your muse for saying these things. I’ll drop a thread if you do this - just saying.

Rules!

1. Themes will vary with this blog. Mystery Incorporated is PRETTY dark at times, so it’ll be what you expect there. To that end, dark themes, violence and maybe swearing.

I will try my best to tag everything. These will be under the format of swearing tw. If you’d like me to tag anything specific, don’t hesitate to ask through anon / inbox / im!

I don’t have any triggers but I do ask you tag all of your NSFW (sexual) content.

If it’s a crossover, I have to know the fandom and be at least a little bit confident with it. This is so I’m able to work with you, our thread and have muse for it.

I follow the tag #trappingguy. If there’s anything you want me to see, like dash commentary, just tag that and x-kit will alert me of your post! I may respond to ic stuff ic stuff if I’m feeling it.

In that sense, I’m chill with dash shenanigans with most folk, not just mutuals!

Absolutely no godmodding. It ain’t fun, fam. If you’re not sure what this term means, do look it up. This includes powerplaying, metagaming, and other things of that nature. This applies especially in fights if they happen (I’m chance-based and hope that you are too).

I can be picky with OCs. But rest assured, if you’ve followed me/interacted with my promo, I’ll always give your pages a read.

Please don’t be offended if I don’t want to interact with you (and please don’t try to guilt me into doing so!).

I DON’T CARE ABOUT AESTHETICS. I just think they’re pretty. If you don’t use formatting or anything like that, or heck - even wanna’ just do iconless rp - I have no problem with it whatsoever! It’s you, your writing and your muse I care about!

3. Please don’t rush me for starters or responses.

PLEASE understand that I have blogs galore and my muse tends to fluctuate; this can mean I’m everywhere at once and can end up neglecting a blog or two. It’s nothing personal; you know how muses are!

I have a full-time job (and I’m trying to get into screenwriting in my off-time) so sometimes I’m scrapped for time or exhausted. I’m also an introvert who deals with anxiety and depression, thus that may affect how much / how often I roleplay. If I don’t get chance to respond to anything ic or ooc, it’s nothing personal! Promise!

Chances are, I’ve probably has seen that bit of interactivity and just haven’t gotten around to responding yet.

My roleplaying style being para/multi-para, I may take a while to respond. I hoard drafts like a dragon - it’s really just the motivation to write and ship those out.

I hoard asks, but sometimes can’t find muse or interest for all of them. If it’s been a month or two, generally assume I’m not interested / can’t find muse for it. You’re free to send another though!

I answer asks from anyone - personals, rp blogs and anons. I’ll answer non-mutual asks occaisonally but I won’t be making threads out of them

4. Shippings? If they’re of similar age, sure!

If I don’t happen to be interested, don’t force anything on my character.

I do not ship incestuous ships. Do NOT follow/interact if you do.

The ship has to have chemistry; I’m generally shipping trash, but if they don’t click, they don’t click, sorry.

This is a multi-ship blog, meaning there will be more than one ship without them conflicting with eachother.

If you want to ship and I already have a ship of your choosing going with a duplicate, please don’t hesitate to hmu! My ships aren’t exclusive and each character/relationship portrayal is unique to me!

Relationships are eternal until you deem otherwise. If you’re not interested in a ship anymore, just let me know!

5. Whilst I am of age, I’m not aiming for sexual content on this blog (and will not be dealing with fetishes). The occasional joke is fine, but anything beyond that makes me uncomfortable, and I typically don’t recommend pulling it with my character if you’re interacting with me. 

6. About reblogs…

I am not a meme source, and reblogs clog up my activity. Please reblog any memes you find on this blog from their SOURCE. The exception to this rule is if there is no source; go ahead.

I don’t feel comfortable with Personals reblogging my IC or OOC posts, so please don’t do that. If I put something in the fandom tags for whatever reason (bar promos), you’re free to, though.

This goes for my art too unless it has the tag ok to rb, but otherwise only the person I drew it for can reblog it. If you wanna’ reblog something, I DO put it on my art blog eventually!

A few times is fine, as it happens, but repeatedly breaking these rules will result in me soft blocking you.

I try to participate in reblog karma as much as I can, but always reblog from the source/a meme source.

If a post or ask is for you, you’re free to reblog it to save it though - but only if you’re an rp blog!

7. I’m a para / multi-para blog, novella if I’m adventurous and have time. Whilst I may roleplay crack threads with shorter responses, this does not apply to all threads I write. This means:

I write my replies as detailed as I can muster, and length can range from 1 paragraph to 6.

Short responses (such as one-liners) in more serious threads where I’ve written a decent deal can instantly kill my muse for that thread.

Whilst I’d prefer for partners to at least somewhat match my length, it’s entirely up to you - just try your best and make sure you give me enough to work with. ♡

If my muse happen to go nuts out of nowhere - like, overboard - don’t stress too much about matching him.

8. Threads! You can yeet asks, memes, and even starters at me if I’ve liked a call! I’ll obviously have my own you can like.

You’re free to like starter calls even if we’re not mutuals; I can check out your blog that way. I still only write starters for mutuals though.

Starter memes are the BEST way to interact me because they just yeet a prompt at my face and really help me write starters. If you see me reblog one, send one!

If you want a certain verse, lemme’ know! Otherwise, I’ll probably default to a post-canon verse.

If you want to turn an ask into a thread, go ahead!

I don’t recommend writing starters for me unless we’ve discussed something. I don’t like to leave anyone hanging.

Please don’t assume things about my muse. If you’re uncertain about things, ASK.

IMs are open to mutuals, if you want to do any in-depth plotting. I also have Discord if that’s more convenient for you!

For the moment, I’m sticking PRIMARILY to Mystery Incorporated canon with some other media sprinkled in. It’s just because Fred has a lot of media to cover and I haven’t binged his stuff yet.

9. Guidelines on mains and relationships:

If we’re mutuals and we interact a lot, you’re welcome to ask me if I’d like to be your main!

Please don’t be offended if I deny, though; I typically want to pick those I trust to be my mains as well as people I can comfortably write with.

Not limited to them! I roleplay with duplicates galore so don’t be afraid to hit me up if you want to interact!

Pre-established relationships are a-okay in my book; if you have an idea for a relationship between our muses we can work towards, hit me up! I reblog those pre-established relationship memes every so often too. Romantic relationships link back to the shipping guidelines.

Also, friendship/family/rivalry relationships are EXTREMELY valid to me - so don’t feel scared about asking for them!

10. If you have any issues, please let me know and hopefully we can resolve it!

Mun is actually super nice, so don’t be afraid to hit her up!

I am absolutely terrible with IMs and Discord. I either respond quickly or days later, depends on my mood. Social anxiety tends to interfere with this (and more recently exhaustion from work) - but honestly, if you’ve sent something, I’ve likely read it and just haven’t gotten around to it yet! It’s nothing personal; trust me!

Please leave me out of drama; I’m here to have a good time, as is everyone else, and it pains me to see people arguing.

This is a little different with callouts - if I see anything on dash pertaining to any problematic users, I will take it into consideration and rb it if I believe them to be harmful.

11. To retierate, I tend to follow those that:

Write para and whom I feel my muse would click with.

Seem chill? Tone can really intimidate me honestly.

Have rules and about pages! Knowing the boudaries of my rp partners is super important as well as their lovely muses! Sometimes rules are enough, though, if you’re going to write the about eventually.

Tag their nsfw.

Don’t have massive icons - ie, have rp icons that take up an entire text post like 500x500 or something. I don’t want to clog the dash and it’s tiring to resize them.

…also, if I follow your hub blog (provided it doesn’t double as a personal), it generally means I’m cool with any blogs that are attached to it.

12. On threads…

If you’re not interested in a thread anymore, and would like to drop it, please let me know! I’d feel terrible if we’re both not having fun with it or if partners feel overwhelmed with the amount of threads we have.

Honestly, unless I let you know, our threads have no expiry date - so no need to worry about me dropping them without telling you. I can just be quite slow sometimes.

13. Mun does not equal muse! Anything my muse might say does not reflect on how I think unless I explicitly say so.

14. Know that if I follow you, I WANT to interact with you.

I literally couldn’t care less about follower counts. I care about YOU guys and our interactions.

15. Icons.

I make all of my icons by myself, however credit for the icon shape and psd goes here and here.

16. Rules are subject to change.

RULES UPDATE !!

I'm posting the update here so people are more likely to read it as well as so I can explain a little without adding a huge para to my rules ( rather I'll just have a link to this post explaining why ) 

SHORT explanation: I’m adding Sc*r Jo as a banned fc.  ( if you’re heavily triggered by this idea I wouldn’t read all the rest but honestly I’d appreciate if you did to see my point of view ) 

why i’ve role-played with her fc in the past/recently? honestly because I was wrong. I’m not going to try to sit here and make excuses or defend by actions just try to maybe give a little insite as well as to relate to the people that still use her. I began role-playing my first marvel character in the 2012 ( clint ) -- I only knew of the movies and hadn’t read any comics before. All I knew was the actors and their characters. That year one of the most amazing people I've ever met ( who role-played Natasha ) asked me to start reading comics and begin playing James Barnes ( technically before he really even entered the universe. We role-played for 3 years every single day with our FC’s as Sc*rlett and Sebastian. We got so deep into our storyline that I literally still have a hard time even today seeing Sc*rlett J*hansson as Sc*rlett J*hansson, I see my friend when I see her- because when you role-play everyday for three years and become that invested I see my friends Natasha not the Natasha S*carlett or the M*CU portray. 

why I'm choosing not to go forward writing with her FC? In between the time I roleplayed with my friend, this and this have happened. I’m a political science major & I grew up in the south where there is serious equity and equality issues. I love politics, I love advocation, it’s been the past 10 years of my life and for some reason I got selfish along the way and put my connection to the character before actual people. So why is her comments about being able to take a part of any race/gender and comments defending a sexual predator and issue? because of this.  do you know how many actors donated billions to this? and just like that within a day with power and money, they were able to gain enough money and influence to fix something. I’m not saying it shouldn’t have been fixed but that instance just put into real perspective how actors can change the world with their influence and money. How many people do you think Sc*r Jo influenced when she said she could play any part ( even if it meant taking away something from a minority ) she wanted to because that was her right ( as a privileged white American ) --- what message does that send? how many people/fans will now carry that message with them? What message did she send when defending a sexual abuser? that if you’re in power you can do what you want? sound familiar--- D*onald trump? this behavior is not okay. 

So what does this mean ( her being a banned fc ): I will most likely not follow anyone that uses her as an FC: there will be a VERY few exceptions: those exceptions will include: iconless thread or alt fc’s. ( but again I will most likely shift into full banned content. if I unfollow you and you eventually decide to stop using her then send a message and I will re-follow.  I’m not going to go insane and police so if you are someone that interacts with someone that uses her, I won’t unfollow and if you reblog giftsets I won’t unfollow.

ONE LAST THING: this is not hate to the people that use her. I’m doing this for my own personal comfort, I felt like I was giving up my values by interacting with her and indirectly supporting what she stood for.

As of 8/14/20 Charlie is no longer open to romantic ships with female muses specifically, and will ship only with Bunny’s female muses: Irene @gcrefxed and Sarah @killerxquccn  , with her characters being detrimental in Charlie's story and to his character. Sarah specifically has always been the love of Charlie's life with the likelihood of anyone (beyond Irene) able to come close slim to none. This in no way means I will not interact with female muses or am being exclusionary  from this point; I always want to explore the multitude of subtleties in dynamics between Charlie and muses of every gender - even female muses having feelings for charlie, flirting with him etc - but dynamics with those female leaning will not result in anything romantic. Male muses, however,  are still open to the possibility of such a dynamic as that aspect to Charlies sexuality and character hasnt been delved into and I would find really interesting to explore. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! But please respect this decision and don't try to pressure or force me to change my mind as that will result in an automatic block. I ship based on chemistry between muses, but Im also very okay with pre-established dynamics (whether that be romantic, friends with benefits, enemies, platonic, familial, whatever!) Considering that can be a bit easier thread wise for some people instead of starting from the very beginning.  As with most things, I like to talk through it beforehand. If you have anything in mind, you're more than welcome to approach me! But I also reserve the right to respectfully turn things down or offer alternate options if things don't mesh.

As it is i have a hard time keeping muse, just the way i am sadly. i know this is something a lot of people, myself included, can find frustrating (especially when you’re really into a thread) but a fair amount of the time i may take a while to respond. as much as i love this, aside from being a hobby, i have a chronic illness that makes me exhausted most days or just not in the mood to write and not in any kind of state to type out a response you lovely people would deserve. though i will always try to quickly reply when i can.

How Do You Run Your Blog?

Repost; Do Not Reblog. SPEED: Bandit is a very slow Bandit.  I blame the multiple blogs thing, but mostly I’m just scatterbrained.  Either I have super the most ideas and super quick on all of the blogs or I’m super slow on all of them and have no gumption and abandon blogs left and right.  >.>;;  That’s not particularly reassuring.  When I’m queuing replies and have a ton of muse, I try to start from oldest and work my way up, but more often than not I end up skipping replies that I have no muse for and come back to them later.  Sometimes I have do all the short things days and sometimes I have do all the long things days and sometimes I have do all the things on this specific blog days.  It’s kind of hit and miss.  I do have specific threads (or partners) for whom some of my muses almost always have muse, which is why you’ll see those still pop up even when I haven’t been around - or, really, I went through this once and it’s more like I have priorities with these threads/muses/muns for multiple reasons.  Which sounds like favoritism.  I suppose it kind of is.  Most of the time it’s relationships that I’m interested in developing or am intrigued by.  -shrugs-  But, for the most part, Bandit is a very slow Bandit. REPLIES:  I prefer a good mix of long threads and short threads because sometimes I only have muse for short stuff (and sometimes I use the short stuff to work my way up to longer stuff).  I actually prefer iconless for most of my muses (simply because I’m lazy and don’t feel like making icons), although I have more than enough to use for Jess and like the challenge of that, I find that using an icon is also an easy way to avoid describing my character and their expressions - finding a way to do that to the best of my ability.  -shrugs-  I have a hard time doing super long stuff unless the relationship’s been built up (and therefore Jess, already more in touch with her own internal dialogue, will dialogue more and do more) because that chemistry isn’t necessarily there yet, but once Jess (or other muses) and I are comfortable within the context of the relationship, we can go longer.  (And sometimes I feel like I’m pushing to make things longer to match and I hate that feeling.  But I do try to match length.  So there’s that.) STARTERS:  I.  Don’t do starter calls very often just because I don’t want to be swamped.  I also refuse to do starters for people with whom I already have an introductory thread (because I don’t know how my character will respond to yours in other threads yet, still working on a potential relationship basis) and also refuse to do them for people who aren’t replying to threads we already have.  I’m horrible at starters and am more likely to respond to someone else’s call or send a meme.  For starting interactions, memes are a better option.  They give me a prompt.  Starters are hard.  ...which is probably why I don’t do calls very often.  >.>;; INBOX:  I much prefer to get memes than to write starters.  So much more.  So if you want to start a thing, send a meme.  That said, I have a tendency to, uh, forget that I have stuff in my inbox.  Like, if I start working on answering a meme and don’t finish it and then don’t have the nice little ‘you have a message!’ thing, then I will forget.  My inbox here on Jess is probably the busiest of all of my inboxes (other than Bedelia and Hannibal, but I think those are mostly when I’m being salty.  I get a TON of salt memes), but for the most part, I don’t get much.  When I first ran Jess a few years back, I used to get a ton more.  Sometimes I miss that. SELECTIVITY:  My selectivity varies by blog and is basically determined by 1) my insecurities about writing a particular character (for instance, on Hannibal, I’m only following maybe twenty people - and they’re all people I’ve known for a while and trust as far as me building that character), 2) whether or not I’m potentially dealing with triggering material with that character (Hannibal, again, falls into this category, but so did Meg, when she had her own blog), and 3) whether or not I think it’d be cool for our characters to interact - whether or not I can see potential threads or interactions.  Kind of lowkey brainstorming possibilities, if that makes sense.  Jess is not my most selective of blogs - I tend to be much more open with my Disney muses - but I’m more selective about what I write with her.  (Oh, yeah, and the constant callout posts or social justice posts - I have blogs where I intentionally follow less people who do that just because sometimes I need a breather.)  In most cases, I will try to write with most people here on Jess.  That does not mean I will continue to write with most people.  But that I will try.  Jess is one of the muses I’m most comfortable with and therefore can be the most variable with, so length does not matter so much as the chemistry between us as writers does. WISHLIST ITEM:  At some point in time, Good End Jess.  Just.  Most of everything I’ve written for Jess is based on her as a tragic character.  This was not intentional at the time I started writing her (and, honestly, the verses that led to that weren’t even my idea), but she has become very much an embodiment of a character who perseveres and hopes and tries and gets nowhere.  I would like to see Jess happy - without having to make shitty choices that fuck it up because she has to choose between two or more people, etc.  I hesitate to say even if that’s by herself because, as much as Jess does need to learn to be her own person and does need to learn that it is okay to be alone, I think, honestly, she won’t learn that in and of herself.  Leaving Jess to her own devices is often a very, very bad idea - particularly given her idea of happiness being a limited quantity and that she has used up her own, which means she can only be happy if she’s sharing that with someone else, which also means she’s using up their quantity of happiness - it’s a complicated circle.  (But I like it because there’s this potential idea that Jess can learn that, although an individual may only have a limited quantity, two or more together can create more, but that’s another thing entirely.)  Basically, Jess needs something happy.  And healthy. ...also let me write book!jess who is basically a lot closer to how i’d write haruko in the context of my jess’s canon, given new things i found out about her, but yes, let me write my seductive asshole of a child.  someday.  >.>;; HONEST NOTE:  I actually have been known to bite people.  Literally.  I don’t do that anymore, though.  That said, Jessica is my most possessive muse; she’s taken traits from me that I’ve worked hard to control, to deal with, because that’s not how you relate to people (and maybe the best way to explain this is that I read those posts about how to know when you’re in an abusive relationship and make sure that I’m not doing any of the abusive stuff because that’s my tendency and I’ve worked extremely hard to not do that anymore.  This is something I know about myself) - but Jessica, being at heart a dependent muse, also has a tendency to be possessive and overreact.  This bothers me.  She doesn’t do it in threads proper, but she’ll do it outside of threads.  We’re still working on this. PSA!!

So here’s the deal–in 2 days, on Thursday (also my bday!), I’m leaving for NYC. I’m gonna be there from June 22-26, so I will NOT be doing replies those days. I’ll still be on at times, reblogging stuff and such, maybe doing some text threads or short iconless threads if anyone would like to do those, but I will not have my laptop with me.

Shipping

This will be a multi-ship blog! I headcanon Erza as bi-sexual, so she leans towards men and women! Of course, my OTP is Jerza, but I also really, really love Erza x Lucy and Erza x Mirajane. I’m also a huge fan of Grayza too! I’ll happily ship with any muse that seems compatible with my muse, as long as they are of age. Erza is canonically 19 years old, (or 20 if you count the 1 year time skip) so I will NOT ship with underage muses. 

NSFW may or may not happen, I’m not sure... Maybe if I feel comfortable with it, but I always feel really anxious about doing NSFW threads since I’m never sure if I’ll do it right. On that note, I’ll probably feel more comfortable doing it with other female muses 

Even if we’re not shipping or we are, I’m okay with suggestive things/partly nsfw things that could lead to sex, just know that if Erza doesn’t like your muse, expect a very negative reaction since she’s short-tempered, and takes shit from no one.

Also, small reminder, every ship will be in a different universe as to avoid ‘cheating’, unless we are writing a thread based on that.

I will interact with anyone that’s a MUTUAL. Please keep that in mind! If I have not followed you, it means I’m not interested, simple as that.

It’s very likely that I’ll be open to AU’s! I plan on making a plentiful of different verses, so if you ever want to plot a thread and use one of those verses, just let me know! Or we can make our own verse, your choice. I’m open to almost every kind of idea. I don’t have a lot of triggers, so I’m open to doing dark themed threads, as long as there’s no pedophilia involved. I do not condone that, and if I see it on my dash, I will most likely unfollow or block you.

Also, if I ever post a starter call, all mutuals are welcomed to like it. I have no issue with that :)
