Autism headcanon: Snow White (Disney's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs")

*She loves animals and talks to them as if they were people.

*She's naïve and trusting to a fault. She's friendly and open with everyone she meets and never suspects ulterior motives from them. She assumes the Queen will never find her in the woods, despite the Queen's reputation as a powerful witch who knows everything. Nor, despite having been warned to beware of strangers, does it seem to occur to her not to trust the "old peddler woman" or not to believe what she says about the "magic wishing apple."

*She doesn't always follow social rules. For example, when she first arrives at the dwarfs' cottage and finds it empty, instead of waiting outside until the owners come home, she goes in, cleans the house, cooks supper, and then falls asleep on the beds without permission.

*She constantly sings and hums, which can be seen as a form of stimming, as can her clapping along to the music as the dwarfs sing for her in "The Silly Song."

*Furthermore, music seems to be a special interest to her, and a source of comfort and emotional stability, as is often the case for people on the spectrum. She sings entire songs about how singing can make you feel better ("With a Smile and a Song") and pass the time when there's work to be done ("Whistle While You Work").

*When she interacts with (seemingly) ordinary humans, she often seems shy and withdrawn. She's frightened and runs away from the Prince when he first comes into the courtyard, and even while smiling down at him from the balcony as he declares his love, she doesn't say a word, but non-verbally conveys that she returns his feelings by sending a dove down to "kiss" him. Later, she's clearly intimidated by the strange, overly forward "old peddler woman," though she doesn't seem to suspect that she's the Queen. By contrast, she's outgoing and confident when she's with the dwarfs or the animals; she seems to feel more free to be herself when she's with beings who are smaller than she is and who live outside of normal human society.

*She doesn't have normal egalitarian friendships. With the dwarfs and the animals, she behaves as a leader and a mother figure, while with other people (the Prince, the Huntsman, and the disguised Queen), she's shy and lets them do most of the talking.

*She's a stickler for cleanliness. When she finds a dirty, disorganized house, she can't bring herself to leave it that way, or to allow the dwarfs to come to the table with dirty hands.

*She covers her ears when Sneezy is about to sneeze at the end of "The Silly Song," knowing it will be too loud for comfort.

*Her skill at domestic work – although she learned it from having it forced on her by the Queen – seems like a specialized talent, and cooking in particular seems like a special interest of hers. She uses it as a skill to offer in place of money in exchange for lodging, as a way to help those in need (e.g. when she thinks the dwarfs are orphans), as a way to show affection (e.g. the "Grumpy" pie).

*When she runs through the dark forest, she panics when branches catch on her skirt or when she falls against them, and her imagination runs wild and convinces her that the trees have sinister faces and claws, that the logs in the water are alligators, etc. Now, of course any young girl who's never been in the forest before, and who is fleeing from her home for fear of being murdered yet has no idea where to go, would be equally terrified. But in addition to all this, who can say that the darkness and all the startling, uncomfortable physical sensations she goes through – the wind, the branches "grabbing" her, falling into the water, etc. – don't overwhelm her in and of themselves? The end of the scene, where she spins in all directions only to see scary glowing eyes everywhere, and finally falls to the ground and lies there sobbing, feels familiar to those of us who have panic attacks or meltdowns from sensory overload.

*She's very empathetic, sometimes at the expense of boundaries. When she initially thinks the dwarfs' cottage must belong to seven orphaned children, her compassion for them drives her to clean their whole house and cook soup for them before she even meets them. Once she meets the dwarfs, she wants to be friends with Grumpy despite his rudeness, when other people would have dismissed him as an annoyance. And later, her compassion for the "old peddler woman" makes her ignore all the dwarfs' warnings and bring her into the house. While of course not all people on the autism spectrum are either more empathetic than other people or less so, either highs or lows of empathy are common.

Of course, the Disney writers and animators didn't mean for Snow White to come across as autistic. They just meant to create an innocent, likable young girl. But all the same, she's easy for some of us on the spectrum to relate to.

A Wonderful Addition

I was already making this as a very self indulgent HC and someone requested it, I love you nonny /p

Using some of my special interests because it goes with the mini plot.

You are the only person allowed in the bookshop on a regular basis. Aziraphale adores you.

But the very first time, you had walked in very quietly, gave the angel a friendly wave and sat yourself in the coziest, farthest corner.

At first Aziraphale was wary but you never stole from him or caused him trouble so he let you be.

He started glimpsing into your special interests when he saw you repeatedly going after books on snakes, mythology, and space.

“Excuse me sir,” you hadn’t made eye contact with him, and he didn’t mind it. “Do you have any more on this?” You asked pointing to the book you had finished. Unfortunately he did not, but he promised to try and get some more in just for you.

“Wait, who’s that?” Crowley asked one day when he saw you, “how long have they been there?”

Aziraphale told him your name and said that you’d been in that spot for many of their conversations. “I believe they may have what the humans call, autism. They rather adore snakes and some of your old creations.” The angel said with a knowing smirk, causing Crowley to grin and go upstairs to the Angel’s flat so he could change forms without you noticing.

“Oh, hi,” you said to the red and black snake that was coming up the side of the chair, “are you cold?” And with that you’d open your hoodie for him to slither in. Crowley knew you’d two would get along just fine as he nestled into your warmth.

You had confirmed your diagnosis with them months later after properly meeting Crowley and getting to know them both.

Crowley doesn’t wear his glasses around you, a sign of trust but also because he knows it makes your day to see the serpentine eyes.

They’d notice if you’d try to repress your stims, gently tapping your hand to remind you that you didn’t have to do so.

Crowley started keeping a pair of noise cancelling headphones in Bentley for you to use whenever the noises of London and his car were too much.

Aziraphale would happily keep his pantry stocked with your favorite snacks and foods, and always had your drink made perfectly.

You heard Crowley fussing at Aziraphale for changing Bentley to yellow and joined in with the demon. “Change her back, ‘Zira! She’s sleek black, you have enough yellow between this bookshop and Crowley’s eyes!”

That was also how Crowley realized the bookshop yellow was a perfect match to his eyes.

Meltdowns couldn’t always be helped, they knew that, and so they were involved and as helpful as they could be to reassure you and help you self regulate, never resorting to miracles to speed anything up.

You find that Aziraphale’s direct way of speaking certainly helps you to understand everything, even when they were talking about False Armageddon or the Second Coming.

Hell have mercy should anyone try and mock you or taunt you for your special interests. Crowley towering over you like a very protective dragon and Aziraphale holding your hand (should you allow such) to help you stay grounded.

Crowley tries to join you and Aziraphale for baking but really he’s only good at kneading the dough, and you’re perfectly okay with that because sticky dough is not a nice texture.

Overall, they take interest in you, listen and cling to every word, show you that it’s okay to stim around them, it’s okay to have meltdowns, they still love you just how you are, and not one of them would change a thing about you.

Chat did you know I can actually do au work and not just procrastinate???

Some info for Ted, specifically pertaining to my “Human” AM AU. (Some of these are headcanons I hold for the character in general though lol) sorry for any typos it’s a long post and I’m tired 🙏

While Ted remains in the most pristine physical condition in comparison to the rest, his mind is in a constant state of fear and paranoia. AM has kept him in such good condition to feed into the general paranoia of “Everyone here hates me because I’m the least affected, they’re going to do something horrible to me oh my god they’re gonna hurt me” that Ted possess. Each of the five is his own personal experiment, Ted’s experiment boils down too “how paranoid can I make this pathetic man?”

He has deep sunken eye bags from not sleeping out of fear of what the others would do to him. He has scars, bruises and open wounds on his lips from biting them all these decades, and his fingers are in a similar state from him picking at them anxiously. The soles of his shoes are even more worn down compared to the others, due to his slow pace, his running from the group, and his pacing in circles while mumbling paranoid rambles to himself.

Some of the 5 were jealous of Ted at the start, but after seeing how quickly his mind slipped that jealousy quickly faded to pity and mild concern.

Ted’s past is what really contributed to him being the most paranoid about Ellen, he always fears that she’ll use him, that she’ll lull him into a false sense of security so the others could harm him. Ellen of course would never do this but Ted doesn’t know that. Thus, he’s the most far removed from the only one there that might be able to comfort him. Listen, him getting groomed by an older woman in his backstory doesn’t really help his view on women as a whole- (srsly tho WHY did an older woman go for a 19 year old Ted 😭 I DO NOT CARE if she’s rich get her AWAY FROM HIMMMM!!!)

Small side note- he has a handful of anxious stims, lip biting, skin picking, pacing, talking to himself, if he’s being particularly overwhelmed (usually by one of the five) he’ll flap his arms/hands spastically, he’s even pulled out a few handfuls of hair but that habit died out after the first or so decade.

Warnings:

Ln'Eta

First of all, if you get the sensory ick from her tentacles she'll be SO SAD, you can't control it and she knows that- but you two need to find a way to work around that.

Opposite if you get sensory happy from touching her she is quite happy! She is rather snuggly, you can be found idly stimming on one of her leg tentacles while you both watch TV.

With your safe foods, she always offers you some of her food when you eat together but the same food every day of the week for every meal seems to be just fine for you. She just doesn't understand why you don't get sick of it.

Ln'Eta offering to block out the sun when you're over-stimulated.... She's great when you're under-stimulated but panics when you're over-stimulated and puts the house into the void more times than you can count on one hand.

Has no grasp on what autism is- a human its a human thing to have "typical" "standard" things versus every individual being completely different. She simply learns your behaviors and triggers to know You specifically.

Estir

Quickly she learns raising her voice is the quickest way to make you NOT do something and freak out instead. She froze when she saw it happen for the first time, why are you shutting down, why aren't you listening- why are you crying?! She in turn never does it again, but claims it's because it is "not effective"

She takes it as a challenge when you dislike the fabric of the clothes she gets you (Fancy fabric is usually so uncomfortable!) She will not stop until you have the most comfortable, yet fancy outfit to match hers. Definitely brags when she can about the expensive, soft, comfortable accommodations she can provide.

Imagine this, Estir has an entire feast table of food, goose, lobster, caviar- and you at the other side of the table with your chicken nuggets and/or other safe food.

She, like her sister is horrible when you're over stimulated, but takes longer to even realize you're not well. Kicks out all her servants- but she can't help with the lights because Carcosa is a star! It's a burning ball of light.

Autism? No idea what that is but has your explanation written down anyway. "My human is very particular in their wants and needs. You are just jealous you cannot provide for such an individual like I can."

Nyanlathotep

Nyanlathotep is very even toned in her voice and actions, consciously she doesn't do anything to give you the sensory Ick. Although her intense presence is always there, so when she uses her powers it likely becomes more unbearable

Listen, listen... she's very fuzzy. You cannot tell me whether she likes it for not you can stim on her fur like people do with pet cats. It can range from fine to annoying depending on what she Is doing when you decide to nuzzle your face into her fur. She's supposed to be scary? Shouldn't have made her form fuzzy.

"Why." You with the 7th day only eating your comfort food " because. " Nyan-Nyan experiments trying to get you to eat something else, fails, "facinating- you'd rather starve than eat something else--"

Completely confused about your situation, overstimulated or under stimulated- "I thought humans could handle more than this..." not that she meant it offensively but she thought she knew what humans were like by watching them. Although... she is tall and strong enough to hold you, I can just imagine it would be like one of those sensory swings- unlikely she would though unless you were really bad off.

Autism? She's older than mankind she has no idea what the word is for it now in your language. She just knows some humans are "sensitive creatures"

Rhok'zan

Not many know this but flirtation and sexy times is overstimulating! She can over do it if she isn't careful but she doesn't mean to and backs off quickly if you're not in the mood. Rhok'zan the queen of Consent.

On the plus side, like Nyanlathotep she is lovely and fuzzy! She will gladly let you snuggle up to her at any point in time you just need to ask.

" Love, please eat something nutritional- please" she has to find somethings you can eat that has some nutrition to it that you're willing to eat as a safe food. It's easy to have a safe food that isn't the healthiest, like nuggets.

When you're over-stimulated she is actually quite good at helping you, closing curtains, turning off lights- and over all staying calm. Asks if you want snuggles or if you'd prefer not to be touched. Will read a book nearby if you want her to stay but not touch.

Doesn't know what autism is, but she has met and loved so many people to realize each one has their own needs.

• one of his special interests is weapons, when he was a teen he developed one involving medieval torture. he’s known all the pressure points of where to hit someone in order to incapacitate them for years.

• he reads and writes more than he speaks. he often felt like an outsider growing up. he needs rules to function and many social situations are too complex. he likes when things are simple.

• goes nonverbal when he’s upset and starts stimming by tapping his fingers, walking around.

• general stims include his index finger tapping against his thumb, chewing the inside of his cheek, licking his lips, and rubbing the back of his head if it’s been shaved. he likes playing with his longer hair too but hardly anyone is around to see it.

• he stims every time he listens to music. he doesn’t listen to music very often. it’s distracting for him.

• he likes his long hair but it’s too noisy for him. he needs it out of his eyes and face to be able to focus.

• autistic rage is how he survives.

• safe foods include black coffee and breakfast foods. he likes trying new foods and recipes because he likes exploring different types of textures and flavors. he cooks for people to show that he cares because he’s not great with words.

• stims by cleaning his guns. he used to play with maria’s hair a lot. now he rubs the scar on the back of his head.

• extremely high pain tolerance from years of dissociating from his body. it was difficult when he was growing up. his mom would often find him injured and not saying anything or acting like there was something wrong. he once broke his finger and didn’t realize it until later when someone pointed it out.

• has to have everything extremely organized. as a child he lined things up and would get upset if people touched his stuff. he wasn’t good at playing with others.

• technology is overwhelming for him, he likes old fashioned things with physical parts.

• needs more information to assess a situation. whether that be for a mark or in personal situations. he would always ask “the wrong questions” and offer solutions instead of just listening. it was one of his main issues with maria. she thought he didn’t care about her feelings for years when he was trying to help.

• he did not realize maria was flirting with him at first. she was his first real relationship because all other people gave up when they assumed he wasn’t interested. he doesn’t know how to flirt.

• he’s obsessive. when it comes to his mission, nothing else matters. when he first got with maria, nothing else mattered. he needed to know everything about her.

• his autistic sense of justice is what drives him. he believes what he is doing is right and is firm in his beliefs. this also goes hand in hand with his black and white thinking.

• even before war, he was awkward in social situations. he’s always been quiet. he doesn’t like big settings of people, it’s too loud with too much going on. he prefers one on one interactions. it’s easier to focus when it’s just one person.

• he’s been told he struggles with empathy and has no emotions, but he feels so deeply despite not expressing it. he doesn’t understand how people don’t see it but it’s not something he can really explain. it’s always been like that.

• he was nonverbal for years as a child, which is why he was so used to the comments that were made at the construction site (nmcu specific) and he couldn’t understand why they gave a shit.

• in school, he was bullied, but he never really told his parents about it. he was always kinda different. always felt like he was faking the whole “being a human” thing, so in some ways what he does now is easier. he doesn’t have to pretend and put energy into things he’s bad at.

• lisa was kinda like him and it made him nervous. she was blunt and accused of being cold when he knew what she meant. maria had to explain why it was an issue, but all he could think about was the factual statements and how it’s good to pick things apart.

• he always has a plan, a backup plan, and a backup backup plan. it’s part of why he hates a lot of heroes that just go in with no plan. why don’t they have a plan? he’s gone on many tangents before. it’s one of the main reasons why he doesn’t do team ups. that, and other people are too unpredictable. he still doesn’t play well with others.

• when he was young, he really believed in god because god and catholicism has rules that you stick to. he never understood why god and the angels were allowed to kill people but he wasn’t. he went into seminary because he had a special interest in god. he can debate a lot but religious people rarely enjoy it. he’s now a lapsed catholic, mostly because of that.

• nowadays to him, heaven is just a fancy prison and free will is what’s important. he doesn’t like the idea of being a pawn. it’s why he told heaven to go fuck itself. if he has to sacrifice his beliefs then what does that say about him?

• part of why he went into the marines was because he dad always told him he needed to respect authority. he was pushed into it, told that maybe it would do him some good since he was constantly picking fights and not understanding why people behaved the way that they did.

• he likes dogs because dogs like routine. they’re always affectionate. he can also talk to them and they don’t judge or expect him to say the right words. they just like it when he talks.

• his punisher shirts are always a blend of cotton and polyester overtop kevlar. he has a stencil he carries in his bag. the skull is like the jacket he had in high school. it makes him feel comfortable and secure.

• he never wears cologne and doesn’t like things with a lot of scent.

• he was never too good at hygiene, even as a child. now he has an excuse, but really it’s just a lot of effort and he’s going to get dirty again so why does it matter?

a dump of my thoughts because i love her and she’s taken over my mind

• on the trans/nonbinary spectrum. more specifically a demigirl and doesn’t care what pronouns you use on him. owns a binder for specific days that she wants her chest to look flat.

• very lesbian. her heart is for women and non-men 🏳️‍🌈

• i view her as a stud or a stem. it depends on how i’m feeling atm.

• she’s not just a nerd in the science sense she’s a huge fandom geek and has a stan twitter account to talk about her interests.

• also has fan edits of her favorite characters and interests saved on her phone. probably makes her own edits too.

• average minecraft enjoyer (she’s obsessed)

• reads a lot of wlw comics, novels, and other media bc they’re a gay ass.

• has AuDHD, argue with ur mama.

• is almost always seen wearing noise cancelling headphones or earbuds because she gets overstimulated at times. when she visits riri in chicago for the first time, the constant loud city noise is something he’s not used to. he had forgot to pack the headphones he made for himself so riri makes him a custom made pair to help him relax. they end up using riri’s more than their own. (riri indulgently put small cat ears on the top of them and shuri almost cried at the sight).

• catgirl energy. riri may make her look tall but that’s still a 5’5 girl twink that stopped growing at age 13. she’s small and likes to sit on counters, lab tables, the floor and any other weird place that’s not meant to be sat on. she curls up in a ball when she sleeps alone, and if she’s in the bed with someone else her limbs are all over their body. has cute sounding sneezes that m’baku makes fun of her for. one of the lab workers once found her asleep in a random corner of the room. naturally very light-footed and basically has human toe beans, making it very easy to sneak up on people without them hearing.

• has quite a few fidget toys to help her focus on work in the lab and ease her anxiety. a rubik’s cube, fidget spinners, stress ball, pop its, etc.

• she stims. so much. especially after she successfully completes a task or experiment and she’ll do a dance or do the lil hand flapping thing. her vocal stims are always random song lyrics or tiktok meme audios lol.

• has a sweet tooth. when okoye was a dora she’d occasionally bring candy or other sweets for her to snack on. riri goes to the store and buys him all the popular american snacks for him to try. nakia always has a mini stash prepared for when they visit her and toussaint in haiti.

• favorite color is purple. it just suits her.

• a GAMER™. she plays all genres but her favs are probably minecraft, puzzle, or rhythm games. did i mention minecraft? she loves it. riri loves rpgs and pvp games the most and has her play smash bros ultimate pretty often. they’re super competitive with each other and both sore losers lmao. shuri got her to play minecraft once and riri kept getting blown up by creepers.

• ↑ she becomes super close with mj, ned, and vivian through riri. they’re always on discord vc together playing games and doing many other things and it’s the most chaotic shit you’ve ever seen.

• if the word ticklish was personified. simply elbowing her in the stomach on accident would get a giggle outta her. every ticklish spot she has is extremely sensitive and you could have her curled up cackling in tears with ease.

• funny as hell for no reason. life of the party fr. she takes her jokester persona very seriously but sometimes she’s hilarious without even trying. the first time she ever smoked weed was with riri in her dorm and riri never laughed so hard in her life that day. shuri was literally all over the place. she’s definitely a lightweight too, just as goofy, giggly, and clingy in her drunken state.

• definitely likes kpop girl groups. I can’t prove it but they love loona you just have to trust me.

• also loves vocaloid and has a hatsune miku figure in her room somewhere. trust me on that.

• has a list of favorite black american artists. riri definitely put her on some r&b classics and less mainstream artists. has a massive celebrity crush on black women rappers.

• music taste is very versatile. her playlist has almost everything. she just can’t listen to one genre only, she’s too open minded and exploratory for that.

• he’s not one to fall in love easily, but when he does he falls hard. riri was the first person he ever fell for and it changed the trajectory of his life, poor thing had no idea what to do with that information.

• a romantic, lovesick loser. cannot flirt to save his life. flustering him is so fucking easy lmao. riri once called him shawty and he malfunctioned for 5 minutes. whenever he’s on the phone with riri his crush is genuinely so obvious to everyone around him. he be giggling and cheesing real hard 😭. kicking his feet squealing on the bed when he’s alone thinking about the cute nickname riri called him.

• her love language is acts of service and gift giving. she’s not always good with words or emotions so she expresses her appreciation towards her loved ones by distributing her wealth in many ways. buying riri things she might need for college, fixing stuff that breaks in nakia’s home. things like that.

• has trouble being vulnerable with those close to her. she’s lost so much, so opening up to new people is always a scary, big step. it took a while for her to let mj, ned, and viv into her heart because the closer she becomes with them, the more it’ll hurt if she loses them. they take her in with open arms regardless, because having a support system with people her age is something she needs. they take her seriously in ways that the elders don’t. they see her for who she is outside of being a royal figure to her country and allows her to be her full, authentic, geeky self. she’s able to grasp onto the youth that she almost lost when her family was taken away.

• very talkative. can infodump about an interest for hours and completely lose track of time if you let them. they cannot stay still when excited, nor can they keep eye contact, pacing around the room and darting their eyes everywhere while rambling about the history of vibrainium or something.

• maladaptive daydreaming. will lose herself in a song and start imagining scenarios in her head. t’challa once caught her in the act and refused to delete the video footage. sometimes, she pulls up the video her brother recorded just to hear his laughter in the background.

he uses any pronouns bc he doesnt understand the concept of pronouns or gender so goo goes by all and any pronous! and does not care at all what you call them!! they even get it wrong for other ppl sometimes calling quackity she or it or goo :P (he does prefer goo/gloop/gunk pronouns but only with ppl gunk is comfortable with :3)

obviously hes autistic. he doesnt understand social cuses or anything, he just walks off in the middle of conversations. he also takes everything way to literally lolz

xe also doesnt really understand the concept of being naked xe just wears clothes bc xe wants to try and look human like everyone else. but sometimes when goo is by gooself, goo is just naked bc xe is unmasking :3 and the first couple times quackity walked in on him like that slime was just confused why quackity was so shocked? bc quackity already knew he wasnt human??? why would he be so shocked about him blowing his cover? (silly dumbass)

slime doesnt quite understand the concept of kissing either. he kisses quackity a lot, and at first quackity tried to teach him that that wasnt appropriate but quickly gave up bc 𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵 and it is just hard trying to teach slime anything lmao. slime understands at some degree that you arent supposed to kiss people you dont know or care about that well so hes only ever kissed quackity so far hihihi (quackity has noticed this :P)

others on the server think slime is just a dumb innocent thing that doesn't understand how anything works. it does look like that, and to some degree that is true. but quackity sees him on a much deeper level, and understands how slime has so much potential and can comprehend a lot of big things, some things bigger than quackity himself has ever thought to think about. slime sometimes talks about the never ending cycle of war and how no one lives long enough to see how useless it all is and that it always ends the same, but then be goes back to being dumb, looking at a bird out the window and asking about how it works. slime has a lot more to him than what meets the eye.

ever since quackity found slime hiding in his walls, slime has a new found fondness for trying to learn about the world and what it means to live. xe used to just watch and thought that was enough for xem but once he got out in the world he just wants to hear everyones prespective about things and how they expiriense living. he just wants to learn about how everything works and why ppl do things.

when slimes gets too overwhelmed goo just wants to feel the nice sensory compression of the earth hugging around goo and the silence that comes with it, so gunk just goes into the ground and stays there until goo feels better agin :3 gunk used to go into the ground a lot more when gunk started walking around on the surface for the first time. it was very overwhelming for him, all these new things.

he sometimes stimms by flapping his hands when he gets excited and he ends up splashing a bit of slime everywhere when he does that, he doesn't notice in the moment but when he stops stimming he's met with a slightly irritated quackity telling him not to throw sline everywhere. quackity does find it adorable tho.

Nimona Stim Headcanons

Nimona: She likes to chew on things in most forms. Wolf, mouse, human, shark, cat, you name it. The problem is her teeth are very sharp and she often breaks whatever's in her mouth. It's been a struggle to find something she can bite without breaking it or hurting herself but Ballister's confident he'll find something eventually. She also likes to shred things as a cat; there are different sensations between shredding paper and cloth but she likes both. Bal gave her a pack of tissue paper once and that entertained her for hours; she was smiling and giggling the whole time. Her shifting itself can be a stim and sometimes she'll rapidly change shape while listening to someone talk to help her focus. Unfortunately, it's usually pretty distracting to the person talking to her. She also likes to listen to music and tap along to the songs. She uses her fingers but also things like pencils and silverware to make different sounds.

Ballister: This man bounces his leg like there's no tomorrow. All- every- all the time. He doesn't even notice he's doing it until someone asks him to stop shaking the whole table. He chews on the back of his pencils/pens while he thinks too. Also doesn't know he's doing it until he looks down and it's covered in bite marks. When he's anxious about something, he'll repeat words and phrases to calm himself down. For example, before he went into knight training evaluations, he would whisper "helmet, sword, chest plate, boots" over and over and over to himself like his life depended on it. Ambrosius asked him if he was ok and he said he was fine, he just wanted to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything. For physical things like that, he'll also touch the object each time he lists it to make sure it's still there.

Ambrosius: He strikes me as a flappy hands kind of guy. When he's super excited or stressed he starts flapping his hands to regulate some of that emotion. He's only started doing it freely recently but he's always found subtle ways to express it. Like doing jazz hands/waving his hands around while talking excitedly or shaking his pencil during stressful meetings or tests. He also really likes soft textures/things. I can see him rubbing his hands over a nice fabric for as long as he can until someone pulls him away. Whenever they watch a movie on the couch, he likes to hug a pillow even tho Bal's right there. I can also see him really liking stuffed animals; he probably had a bunch when he was a kid, had to get rid of them bc he "was too old," but now has a bunch. They're soft and he can hug them and they're shaped like little friends. What's not to love? Bal is the big spoon, Ambs is the middle spoon, and then all of his stuffed animals are the little spoon lol

Dr. Blitzmeyer (bc yes she is a part of this family and I want to include her): This isn't technically a stim but her most important possession is her goggles. As long as she's wearing them there are no bad lights, no eye contact, and a constant reassuring pressure. They started out as a lab safety precaution, but she realized how much they helped and wears them 24/7 now. The only time she takes them off is for showers and bed. But on bad days when she's too anxious and the world is too much, she won't want to take them off and Ballister has to coax her out of them so they won't bruise her face. She also likes pulling on her purse strap while taking to people in public to give her hands smth to do. She likes to chew on things while she thinks too but has a few stim toys for that so she's not putting lab equipment in her mouth like Ballister. She also likes to bite people she feels comfortable with, like a quick soft bite on the shoulder, but you have to be level 3000 in friendship to unlock that so it's not a super common stim. So far she's only done it to Bal and he was pretty confused after, not upset, just confused.

SO MANY but I'll be here all day if I list them all. I'll just list a couple for everyone:

siffrin - he needs mobility aids post game! all that craft in act 5 did a number on them, even if they're at a higher level. sometimes when walking gets to be a bit too much, isa will carry him. mirabelle has offered a couple times too but their similar heights can make it a bit difficult, even if she's capable of lifting them mirabelle - the stimmerrrrrrr... she tries to mask her stimming a lot by keeping her hands together all the time, but once she starts opening up around the others she gets her flaps out!! her and sif are hand flappers, and her and isa like to go back and forth with vocal stims! ding ding! isabeau - if you've read my fic you know I'm giving this man freckles. I am not immune to the freckles + redhead isa propaganda. obvious thoughts aside though I think isa would be a really REALLY talented artist. he sketches sif a lot...no reason why!!!! odile - "I might be nonbinary but I have a job so I don't really care right now" yknow. do you get it. jokes aside I'm gonna throw in a sad headcanon and say that, after the whole northern island thing, odile uses her book to write little quirks or facts about the people she cares about just in case she ever forgets them. there are lots of notes about the party in there (that would later get transferred into their own shared familytale post game!) bonnie - we all know their love language is food. but also what if they collect little objects to give to people! nille has A Lot of seashells on a shelf cause bonnie would bring her so many. they slip a cool looking rock in frin's pocket. they give za a weird looking leaf. dile wakes up to a pile of different feathers by her belongings. belle gets broken pieces of toys they find in town. YOU get an object! and YOU get an object!! cause they think they're cool! loop - loop...loop my best friend loop.....sniffles.. they either join the party post game (maybe after a little bit of alone time) and learn to realize they are just as loved as they were before even if this isn't their party, OR they find a DIFFERENT party and find a new family to call their own and finally grow to move on from what they've lost (as long as they meet up with sif and his family every so often for shenanigans and funnies!!). also as much as I love human loop designs those will never be canon in my heart I'm sorry but loop Not being human anymore and needing to learn to accept that is a big part of their character to me. Handing random headcanons (tw: it's just about wukong at this point)

- wukong is not a full monkey. His body and behaviors tells him yes, but his anatomy says no. (Stone monkey.)

- he can develop behaviors that are outside from the ones he should have.

- he, over the years, developed different types of behaviors from different types of spieces. He mainly has human behavior, but he also got dragon,pig and fish behavior because of his companions, even if minor.

- he gets petting aggression.

He does get that hormone that makes him aggressive when he sees something cute to balance things out, but he also bites when he gets stroked too many times like sometimes cats do.

- he has no collarbone, just like cats. He has no bones, he's a rock! He can pass through spaces if his head fits. His body is mostly fur anyway.

- he's just, bigger. He's big. He's a big boy.

He's bigger than monkeys, they can fit in his palm even though he's considered small between demons.

- talking about demons, macaque is one.

In fact, he used to be bigger and taller than wukong, as demons are generally just big sized, but then things switched up when macaque died. Because one grew and the other didn't of course.

- Wukong often mimics sounds he hears, like a vocal stim. That's why he started doing "mrrp" sounds and more.

- he hates water because he knows he's weak with it, he can't swim. And plus it makes him even more heavy, he hates wet fur.

- demons comes in all colors and shapes, anything considered unique and out of the norm, is a demon. Stone monkeys are demons.

- the mayor was once a human who served the lady bone demon, but as a human, death comes. And quickly too.

The lady bone demon didn't wanna loose such loyal follower, so she brought him back alive. turning him into a real puppet, guiding his own dead body.

- monkeys are both predators and preys, they are considered both (just nature facts.)

- wukong is biologically female, he identifies as whatever people perceive him, mostly as male. But he's kinda every gender at once.

- he doesn't have a "real voice", his voice changes all the time. A small effect of him shapeshifting a lot during jttw.

- whenever wukong gets angry, but really angry, his hair and tail become fire, sometimes his hair explode, burning everything around him (to about 13 feet = 3-4 meters.).

- if it wasn't for his wonderful vision (and true vision), he would have needed glasses since the furnace.

- wukong likes to eat anything, and can eat anything, just with a limit.

Too much sugar makes him sick (unlike monkeys that directly gives them diabetes.)

Too much meat makes him sick (can't eat it.) But it only counts on meat like pork, steak, not small things. (Like birds, anything out of the monkey diet.)

The only thing he can eat generally is fruits and vegetables, as it's around monkeys diets.

- he's probably as big as mandrills. ( The biggest type of monkeys )

- he hates hot tea. Anything hot. But he loves the cold counterparts. Cold tea? Iced coffee? His favorite thing.
