hiatus announcement

hello, all! i wanted to give notice that into the near future, the archives will be temporarily inactive so i can finish up where i'm up to in discovering more chapters of current stories (and uncovering new ones!), and do other maintenance to make the archives a bit better! i'm getting a bit bogged down with all the content i need to finish, but i promise to get the archives up and running again in a timely manner! i can't give a realistic estimate right now, but i won't be long!

in the meantime, some posts will be revised, having their tags altered or links changed, etc. you'll know the archives is up and running again when there's a shiny new masterpost and a lot of wip content beginning to upload!

Willow lore. I need . Pleas e

Ok so im at school rn so im gonna quickly write the main premise of his lore in the realm a world basically made by him (because get it. I Am the one who makes stuff in my brain). This means that the stuff that happens to him in the real world, mostly distressing stuff, will have direct impact into the universe.

There are many theories and interpretation of his story but the main one is from the main story involving the realm and its people called "there's no light in this room" or TNLiTR for short. For a quick rundown of this universe: there are a bunch of worlds in this realm and the realm is basically space except spirits and alike reside there, including gods. In the worlds there are mostly biological beings.

The world the story mainly takes place on is an abandoned world with barely anyone despite there being buildings, stores that keep themselves running and ancient structures. There has been stories for different people so far that were mostly temporary creators (aka past sonas); one being from a purificator, the other from hana, then himawari and later willow's. Willow's story is strictly connected to what happened to himawari before she vanished as a sona

Before i get into that im gonna briefly just say: beyond the realm there's "the nothingness", or the place where everything and everyone becomes nothing, sometimes referred as a void. No one knows anything about this place but there has been a few appearances of the HALL of nothingness; which is what comes before the nothingness. There are many theories about this place being the ultimate place to die and not become black matter (because most of the time, people become black matter after dying and practically live forever based on instinct)

Willow's story starts after himawari basically removed her core and "disappeared" out of nowhere. The core of a person remains forever even after one's death: without the core you'll basically vanish and become nothing. Only creators can remove their own core if they wish so. The thing is no one really knows HOW she vanished, but the most prominent theory is that willow "ascended" her, and this is where his suffering starts. He then gets stranded in this world full of anxiety and guilt, often fighting his anxiety attacks and trying to achieve peace by meditating and listening to the visions scattered across the world. A bunch of stuff happens in-between his journey but the end basically ends up in him trying to ascend after reaching enlightenment from a guardian (narrow) and fighting his inner urge to eradicate the entire world (good ending) or becoming one with the instinct, basically eradicating everything and everyone (bad ending). The good ending is the "canon" ending, after that he sort of relives the same thing over again, stuck in an endless time loop, almost like he's still searching for himawari

In TNLiTR his journey is mostly lonely and it's heavily implied everyone else (past temporary creators) became nothing and are only just visions meant to guide willow into his path of enlightenment, however there are other interpretations where he travels with mostly another temporary creator (hana). Willow is stuck being the permanent creator so unless he decides to erase the entire world, he's stuck here forever, no matter what form he is in. Some theories say he comes from the nothingness.

But overall yeah he's just a normal boy :) nothing going on with him at all

so originally when I was thinking about which fear entity fits the best for each prisoner I decided the dark for mikoto but after thinking about it more I think the buried would be a better fit

the wiki kinda just mentions the buried manifesting in a more mental/emotional form in terms of money - like being in debt - but I think mikoto's experience of being overworked and the pressure of those expectations could work rlly well with the buried
