i do not have the brain power or energy to write objective news so i'm just going to muse about my personal thought regarding studio flare, entropy effect, and the future of blazblue. it's going to be long with lots of photos and like 90% subjectivity/speculation so courtesy read more

of course thats a bit more lighthearted but i think this really illustrates my feelings on the future of Blazblue. The vibes I have felt from a few people I have talked to is that we no longer fear a lack of blazblue but rather that it will come back wrong. And I certainly don't feel any different. I've heard some dubious things about the parent company to Flare, I'm not going to comment on it too much because I'm not very knowledgeable about that company and I'm not about to pretend I know how the game development industry works but between those rumors and the one blazblue game that is coming out looking like a generic futuristic sci fi roguelike that happens to have blazblue characters in it, it's easy to feel like the series is trapped between a rock and a hard place in terms of quality content. And at this point my definition for "quality'' is "honestly if bbdw wasn't a gatcha i think it would have been considered a legit part of blazblue canon".

Anyways. About Mori, I think he really wants to say he wants to keep working on Blazblue. It's his baby, he made Hakumen in high school. Whether or not this new game is Freezorange (no relation to existing arcsys IP) or not Mori self depriciatingly comments in a new famitsu interview that nothing he makes is quite going to shake off the Blazblue flavor. Likewise Arcsys has expressed interest in making more Blazblue things and is even licensing the IP for Entropy Effect. It will be interesting to see Moriless Blazblue and Blazblueless Mori developing side by side. I want more Blazblue but I don't want Arcsys to get the wrong idea and think that throwing Blazblue characters into whatever is going to constitute as "more blazblue content". I don't really have any call to action on what side to take there. It was just frustrating to see people who didn't even play BBDW use it as an excuse to trash Blazblue as a franchise but then be neutral to positive about Entropy Effect. To be vulnerable, it sucks and it makes me really upset. All I can do is hope after the dust settles maybe we will get Blazblue content with sustenance, or Freezorange with sustenance.

Nico referring to his mom as "Mama" implies he most likely at least used to refer to Hades as "Papa" and i 100% headcanon he still does but mostly in the manner of him having the entire Underworld wrapped around his finger for being the baby of the family

The funny thing about the PJO cabin system is that everyone's always all 'oh the twelve' this and 'the twelve' that but that's absolutely not even remotely accurate. To start, right off the bat it's thirteen, not twelve, because they don't count Hades. But not really because before Percy, there were no big three kids, so we're down to ten active cabins already but it's actually eight because Artemis and Hera don't make demigods.

And of those eight, Mr. D is stuck at camp (thus not really making new demigods all that often) and his only two kids don't even sleep in a cabin, they sleep in the Big House with him.

So, pre-Percy, there are seven active cabins at Camp Half-Blood:

Glee club, the Jocks, the Nerds, the Geeks, the Farmers, the 'Sketchy Kids' and the Popular Kids.

Or, in other words, the Apollo, Ares, Athena, Hephaestus, Demeter, Hermes (and the unclaimed kids) and Aphrodite cabins.

What's cool is that you can already see the cabin dynamics in the show. For example, the Athena cabin allies with the Hermes cabin for the numbers. The Hermes kids plus all the unclaimed kids? It's the biggest cabin in the camp by far. It's a battle strategy. Luke and Annabeth's close relationship is just the cherry on top for Annabeth. It'll be really cool to see how the show develops the differences in the cabins during the series.
