i think i trust true crime youtubers more than any documentary because they don't bother covering up incompetence and federal disinterest in cases. like both will be talking about the same case where the victim is a sex worker and the documentary will say "the police immediately sprang into action" while the youtuber will explain in painstaking detail from what they could find from the victims' family and friends that they just waited around because the victim was a sex worker.

#crops #i'll be genuine the only docuseries one i REALLY trust is forensic files. bc they focus on the facts of the case #and if that means making cops look bad then it means making cops look bad <3 #ask to tag #i hope this is phrased in an understandable way i cannot tell #theres also a docuseries about people who are flasely accused and i was interested in it until the lawyer started talking about how--#forensic sciences are 'made up' and how 'his dna being on the corpse means nothing'. like bestie. thats damning evidence.#also i dont take kindly to ppl putting down blood typing evidence bc my great-grandmother helped develop that :)#<- they used dna sequencing not blood typing but. just another thing. bc without blood typing we wouldnt have dna sequencing today #obviously theres problems with both (i.e. raid shadow legends ads) but theyre just. not shy about shitty cops.
