A little sneak peak of the ATLA AU fic I'm working on (I promise I'll commit to this one fr). Aang doesn't find out he's the Avatar till he's 15 - he runs away at that age and gets stuck in the iceberg then. He doesn't arrive until three months after the comet has already come - the EK is basically a pile of ash at that point. He meets up with Zuko, Katara and Sokka while searching for his people across the Air Temples. They've been recovering there since the comet after failing to stop the invasion. Zuko, sick of hunting the Avatar figured out the FN's bullshit and defected, using the Blue Spirit as an alias to basically fuck up shit for the FN. This happened sometime around Book One. Bonus:
