Viktor isn't the most affectionate person that you'd meet. in fact he would be quite distant before getting to know you first, thinking that you don't deserve his time. However once he really gets to know you and start trusting you will he show his affection and appreciation through small acts of service.

B - Best friend (What are they like as a friend? How would the friendship start?)

Viktor is an amazing force to have on your team, however that might sound like. He's smart, loyal and trustworthy. I think that the friendship would develop a lot quicker if either A. you knew him since he was a child and still lived in zaun or B. you'd capture his attention and not the other way around.

as i said the friendship would start with Viktor being a little distant at first, but then he will start to appreciate you company and trust you a lot more. show him that you're trustworthy and really like him and he will warm up to you.

C - Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

In the beginning of the relationship Viktor was strictly against cuddles, it made him feel weak. However once you show him how good it feels, with him trusting you 100% he will change his opinion on cuddling. Viktor is slightly bony so hugging him wouldn't be the most comfortable thing, and yet it feels so warm and loving everytime you cuddle, you just can't complain!

I think that he'd like to settle down, if it comes to s1 Viktor, however there might be a little controversy. Viktor spends time at his lab 24/7 so he wouldn't be at home with you all the time. The times he is at home he is way too tired, exhausted even to help you cook and clean.

However if there would be a situation where either you or Jayce convince him to take a weekly break, with you, at home. so that he could relax and do domestic things with you, he would 100% try to help you with chores. (if his leg wouldn't hurt so much this day)

I don't think that Viktor would ever want to break up with their partner, he will fall in love with one person so hard that he'd want to live with them his entire life. would be truly heartbroken if you'd break up with him.

he would want to get married but wouldn't like to rush things, you know? he'd need to know all about you, whether it would be your weird quirks or just the specific shade of your favourite colour. about 4/6 years i think before he could propose, then the wedding in a year or three.

he always touches you as if you were a porcelain doll that would break under his fingers if he squeezed too hard. with you? he's the most gentle person in the entire piltover.

H - Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it and what is it like?)

Viktor hugs are warm, gentle and loving. they always make you feel heard and the way he holds you speak volumes, the unspoken words that could come out of his mouth don't need to be spoken anymore. despite that hugs with Viktor aren't often, yet he likes hugging you.

you'd probably have to say it first, he'd say it back to you. it really depends when you will start saying it, trust me he will say it back every single time.

J - Jealous (How jealous do they get? What are they like when they're jealous?)

Viktor doesn't like the feeling of jealousy, he doesn't want to feel this way. Viktor is very insecure about himself, his leg, his disease and there you were talking to another men who's bigger than him, that you could easily replace him with, it makes his blood boil.

yet, he trusts you. he trusts you to not do something stupid. he will stay quiet, occasionally glaring at the person but not trying to make himself known.

he sleeps a little stiff, cuddle him!! he's a little bony but its not usual for you to sleep together.

Viktor as i said before not once, not twice will be closed and distant at first yet once he starts trusting you more he might reveal a few of his traumas of his childhood, but you'd have to be deep into the relationship for that to happen. the moment would have to be right, almost fragile if you know what i mean.

he is not angered easily, quite the opposite actually. Viktor will be really patient with you and he'd like to recieve the same treatment from you in return. however if you'll insult his intelligence, work or make him feel bad because of his disability or diseases he will be mad. furious.

when this man is in true love he will remember every single detail that you mention, even accidentally. i don't like when people say that he will forget about important events for you two because he is a workaholic, i dont think he would. he will know what your favourite subject was in middle school, your favourite shade of your favourite color (the very specific one), your favourite flower, what zodiac sign you are, whats your favourite type of cake, what's your favourite ice cream flavour, the food that makes you gag when you see it, your least favourite season. you name it and he will know it.

probably the moment he realized he loves you or your first kiss. i don't want to dwell on it, but i might make a one shot or a drabble based on it.

S - Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

i hate when people say that he would need to be protected because he can't do shit himself, if you agree with this might as well block me. maybe he is disabled but he is totally capable of standing up for himself. when it comes to you? he will be protective, you're one of the few good things that happened in his life.

listen, this man is tired so he won't put much efford into everyday tasks or such. He would still crave for you to have most of the control. He's still affected by your words, just in a different way. Less physical. Even though the relationship was always deeply romantic, after his transformation it's so much more!

Since I do love to hc him not having the ability to feel his own body anymore, the dynamic would shift to him being a bit more 'dominant'.

But just in a sense where you'd be the one that recieves most of the pleasure now. It used to be him, cuz you did love to spoil him and break him apart more often than not, so when you can't do that anymore, it's quite a mournful feeling.

Sexual intimacy is still there, but not what you were used to, and it takes time to navigate. You just have to realize that you feeling good is now his only source of gratification. And you have to accept that.

So you do push your limits a little, just so that you can see him tremble from the state of you.

He'd still react to your touch. If you manhandle him, if you tease him or squeeze his neck. Those reactions are there because he gets nostalgic and he can almost dig out the feeling of those sensations from his memory.

He is less vocal and that's a pity. But he's trying his best to fill the holes in your relationship with other things. Romance, devotion, reassurance, compliments...He focuses real hard on his numbed out (or changed) emotions so that he can give you honest answers to your questions.

“Please.” James asked once again, stretching out the words in a syrupy tone while giving you that pleading look he knew was practically irresistible. To top it off, he exaggerated a pout—a weapon he loved using against you.

You, however, held your ground—or at least tried to. “No, James. I’m not getting on that stage. Give it up.” Your voice came out exasperated, but the irritation was more theatrical than genuine. You returned your gaze to the book in your hands, as if reading was remotely possible with your charming boyfriend so close to you. After classes, he had followed you home, sprawling out on your bed and begging for your attention. He was practically draped over you, his face resting just below your chest, purring like a kitten as your fingers combed through his unruly hair. Of course, he wasn’t satisfied sharing your attention with the book, occasionally nibbling on your skin whenever you stopped stroking his hair.

James, naturally, wasn’t ready to give up. “Love, I’ll be there with you.” He smiled softly, lifting his face to lock his eyes with yours. His fingers tapped the corner of the open book before he rested his chin on it, blocking your view. “Be my Juliet.”

It had been a few days since the school announced that auditions for Juliet’s role were open, and ever since James, who had landed the role of Romeo, had been asking you to try out.

You raised your eyebrows at him. “That’s the least romantic thing you could’ve said. Juliet? Seriously?”

He blinked, clearly offended. “They’re like, the most romantic couple of all time. It’s a classic!”

“It’s tragic,” you corrected without hesitation, shutting the book with more force than necessary. “They knew each other for what, a week? Two teenagers with raging hormones making impulsive decisions. No, thank you.”

James placed a hand on his chest as if he’d been stabbed. “That’s cruel. They died for love. True love, mind you.”

You sighed, a smile starting to creep up as you watched his dramatic expression. It was nearly impossible not to laugh when he pulled those faces. “James, they were way too young and completely reckless. If they had survived, they’d probably be divorced in five years.”

He looked genuinely outraged now, his eyes wide with indignation behind his glasses. “You can’t say that! They—”

Losing patience with the debate, you put the book aside and cupped his face in your hands. “The difference between us and them,” you began, softening your tone, “is that I would never lose you, James.”

The blush that painted his cheeks was instant, and you couldn’t help the grin that spread across your face. It was rare to leave him speechless, but whenever you did, you made sure to savor the moment. You took the opportunity to lean in, letting your lips brush across his face in soft kisses, relishing how warm and smooth his skin was. Magnificent. You wondered how many times he and the “Juliet” would have to go over that scene, how many times she would feel his lips on hers, even if it was just acting.

“Are you listening to me?” Sirius’s voice broke through your thoughts, and you realized he was staring at you with an expression that was equal parts curious and amused.

Sirius’s eyes widened theatrically. “Oh no! The kiss! The unforgivable crime!”

“It’s not funny,” you grumbled, staring at your plate as if the food could offer some comfort.

“A kiss is just a kiss,” you said, more defensively than you’d intended.

Sirius raised his eyebrows, clearly sensing an opportunity to tease. “Oh, so that’s it. You’re jealous of poor Juliet?”

But, of course, you were. The idea, absurd as it seemed, began to take shape in your mind. Sirius noticed the hesitation on your face and smirked mischievously.

“Ah, I knew you had a scheming side,” he said, pointing at you with a slice of pizza. “Come on, you’ve got my full support.”

“This is insane,” Remus interjected, clearly frustrated. “You’re going to ruin the whole play. Why can’t you just… I don’t know, trust James?”

“I do trust him,” you replied quickly, but there was something in your voice that made Remus raise an eyebrow.

“Alright,” Sirius said, completely ignoring Remus’s scolding look. “Let’s make a plan. How exactly are we getting rid of Juliet?”

You hesitated, but Peter was the one who suggested, “What if… we swapped her out? Like, no one would notice if it happened at the last second, right?”

Sirius snapped his fingers. “Exactly! Right before the kiss, she disappears, and you take her place. Brilliant.”

“This won’t work,” Remus insisted, exasperated. “You’re ignoring all the possible complications. It’s a live performance, for Merlin’s sake.”

“And that’s exactly why it will work,” Sirius countered.

You were still processing how far this idea might go, but there was something irresistibly tempting about the possibility of keeping James from kissing someone else.

The hardest part was getting the costume, but the girl in charge of it was distracted enough for you to “borrow” the dress and accessories.

Before you knew it, the day of the performance had arrived.

Tension hung in the air as you put the final details of the plan into action. Sirius, Peter, and Remus were in their positions, each with their own task. The chaos was about to unfold, and you weren’t sure if you were more anxious or terrified about what would happen.

James had passed through the backstage area moments earlier, completely unaware of the storm about to break. He wore the Romeo costume, his hair neatly combed back, and, most shocking of all, he wasn’t wearing his glasses. You nearly lost your breath. The costume was flawless; he could have easily been part of a Hollywood cast. His unruly curls had been tamed, and silvery powder highlighted his cheekbones, making them sharp enough to cut glass. It was James, but in a way you’d never seen him before, and your mind swirled with admiration and nervousness.

He smiled in that way that made your heart race and approached to wish you good luck before heading to the stage. “I can’t believe they’re letting me do this without glasses,” he said casually, adjusting the collar of his shirt. “Hope I don’t trip.”

You laughed, though your throat was dry. “You’ll be amazing.”

He gave you a curious look, as if sensing something unusual, but said nothing. “See you later, yeah?”

“Of course,” you replied, trying to sound casual. He disappeared down the hallway, and for a moment, everything felt suspended in time. Until your friends appeared silently.

You gathered in a hidden corner where you quickly changed into Juliet’s costume. The outfit felt like an elaborate trap—full of layers, lace, and a suffocating corset—but there was no time to complain. Sirius handed you the final accessory as Peter and Remus ensured the real Juliet remained “secured” in the wardrobe where she was temporarily “stored.” The girl barely had time to react before Peter clumsily informed her of a last-minute change and suggested she touch up her makeup. Sirius promptly locked the door, shouting an apology as he ran to join you and the others.

“Ready?” Remus asked, genuine concern in his eyes.

You took a deep breath and nodded, even though your mind was a mess. “Thanks, guys, you’re the best.” You hugged them all at once.

“I know, darling,” Sirius quipped, hugging you back with his leather jacket creaking slightly.

“You have to go, now,” Remus reminded you. You nodded, nerves tying knots in your stomach.

“You’ve got this,” Peter said gently, squeezing your hand.

Forcing your legs to move, you walked with your head down to keep anyone from noticing Juliet’s mysterious transformation. Your heart pounded painfully as you stepped onto the stage.

The curtain rose.

The stage lights were brighter than you’d imagined, momentarily blinding you. Your vision adjusted slowly, and then you saw him. James stood at the center of the stage, completely focused on the scene. The surprise on his face when his eyes met yours was something you would never forget.

He froze for a moment, confused, but, ever the professional, continued the play, his expression shifting between shock and fascination.

You stumbled over the first lines but quickly remembered the nights rehearsing with Sirius, who, surprisingly, had a hidden talent for theater. The audience didn’t seem to notice anything—or, if they did, they were too engrossed to care.

And then came the scene you dreaded most.

James approached slowly, his footsteps echoing on the stage as you struggled to maintain your composure. His voice was steady and passionate, clear and brimming with emotion.

He extended his hand, as if to touch yours, but paused, the gesture suspended in the air. You stepped forward, your lines hesitant but laden with an emotion you couldn’t hide.

“Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, which mannerly devotion shows in this; For saints have hands that pilgrims’ hands do touch, and palm to palm is holy palmers’ kiss.”

James’s breath hitched for a moment. He seemed almost to forget the audience, his eyes fixed on yours in a way that made the world fade away.

“Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?”

“Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.”

“O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do; They pray, grant thou, lest faith turn to despair.”

The tension was palpable, the moment stretching as if time itself had slowed. When James leaned in, his hand lightly touching your face, your knees felt like they might give out.

And then, he kissed you. Gently moving his lips against yours, coaxing them to part so he could slide into your mouth, making you sigh passionately.

It was brief, but it was everything you had imagined—and more. The sensation of his lips on yours was both surreal and painfully real, every detail etched into your memory. The audience applauded, but the sound seemed distant, muffled by the beating of your heart.

When the scene ended, you separated, but James’ gaze remained locked on yours, as if he had forgotten there was an audience around him.

Backstage, after the curtains finally closed, James didn’t waste a second.

“So, care to explain what that was?” he asked, his voice tinged with surprise but also something gentler.

“It was… an improvisation,” you said, trying to sound casual, though your tone was clearly defensive. The Marauders were nowhere to be seen, and now that the adrenaline was fading, your knees felt weaker by the second.

He raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. “Improvisation, huh? Don’t tell me Sirius had something to do with this.”

You shrugged, trying not to blush, but he laughed, stepping closer.

“I have to admit,” he said, leaning in so only you could hear, “you were an incredible Juliet. Better than I imagined.”

Your heart felt like it might explode, but you couldn’t help teasing him. “And you? Did you manage to get through it without tripping over yourself?”

You nodded, unable to say a word, fully aware that you’d be willing to do anything for him.

Byler doubt has seeped into my mind and the thing about it is I see an argument for Mileven and Byler.

I will briefly mention that the fact we hardly see Will and Eleven interact onscreen kills me. These two understand the Upside Down and supernatural crap in a way the whole group does not and it kills me we don’t see them talk about it. Not only that, but they are among the most selfless of the group and they have received nothing in return.

Anyway, here’s my reasoning for both:

Originally I was like “Y’know what? Yeah, Will hasn’t got a single good thing going for him like the entire show, he deserves something good and Byler canon would be perfect.” But couldn’t the same be said for Eleven? She’s suffered just as much if not more. If anyone deserves someone romantically I’d argue it’s her over Will.

However, I am not saying Eleven needs a man. What Eleven has always needed most was a sense of belonging and an exploration into who she is. In support of Byler it would make the most sense that she needs to explore her autonomy and figure out who she is and what she wants. Her whole life has been for everyone but her. As much as Hawkins needs Eleven’s help, I hope we can spend some time for her to discover herself and gain control of her life in Season 5. Her best future would be without Mike romantically, it would be with Mike and the party platonically. She needs support and love from friends and family. She needs to know she has value beyond what she can do for others and beyond her powers. She needs to know she matters.

Eleven wants to feel like a normal teenage girl and doesn’t want to feel like she’s wrong or a mistake. Max gave her the chance to be a normal teenage girl and Eleven’s happiest memories are from time spent with Max. I’d also like to add that these moments with Max subvert the makeover trope because she wants Eleven to discover what she likes rather than Max choosing for her. Max has always wanted to give Eleven exactly what she wants: autonomy and normalcy.

Will needs romantic love. Eleven needs support and platonic love from those around her, and while Will needs support as well, him receiving romantic love would help him justify his existence. He feels like a mistake and that his love for Mike is wrong. Will gave up on Mike’s love in an attempt to save Eleven’s relationship. Will needs to feel like he matters, especially to his best friend and possible love interest Mike. Will receiving Mike’s love would complete his arc with him understanding he’s not a mistake, his love is normal and natural. He has been pushed aside for too long and the boy needs some serious love, care, affection and attention. At this point in the story Will must feel incredibly hopeless and without a future. His friends no longer have interest in his interests, he doesn’t appear to have any friends in California, he’s given up on his crush on Mike and the world is quite literally ending right before his eyes.

Mike’s love saving Will from Vecna and the end of the world and finally understanding what has really been going on between these two best friends would be a gorgeous choice narratively. “Yes we can play D&D and Nintendo in my basement for the rest of our lives, I love you.” This narrative would disprove his idea that he would never fall in love. It would be a beautiful message to all gay people, you’re not a mistake, you’re worthy of love. It would also explain to Will it was never about wanting to leave “childish” things behind, it was always about fear and internalized homophobia.

Now, let’s talk Michael Wheeler. Will and Mike have a falling out over Mike and Lucas not wanting to play D&D with him in ST3. Then Will leaves and suddenly in ST4 the remaining core four members are playing D&D again? My theory is that Mike playing D&D was his way of connecting with Will. D&D was their medium to be their true selves and when they stop playing D&D and Will leaves, Mike feels like he lost Will. I think Mike was the first to show interest in the Hellfire Club and by playing it with his friends he hoped to recreate the same feelings of happiness when he used to play D&D. However, it doesn’t work which is why Mike doesn’t appear happy in early ST4. When they beat Eddie’s campaign we don’t see him celebrating with his friends and that’s when he begins to realize what’s wrong: It doesn’t feel the same. He doesn’t miss playing D&D, he misses Will. It was never about the fantasy role playing game, it was always about how he was able to spend time playing with the boy he loves.

Anyway, here’s some honorable mentions and details I’d like to talk about:

Max and Eleven the duo you are 💗☹️ I really wish we had more moments for them as friends, I feel like Eleven would’ve really been there for Max while she was depressed following the events of ST3.

I feel like Eleven’s supernatural plot for ST5 should be focused on Max, it would make more sense that she and Lucas are trying to free someone who meant so much to them. Max was the most positive influence on Eleven next to Hopper. Beyond that, Eleven should have some time to discover her wants to some extent this season. She’s more than a weapon.

I think it’s so interesting how Will and Eleven are almost foils. In ST1-2 it’s almost like they cannot be on the same place at once (Will gets taken to the UD, Eleven has to save him, Will is saved, Eleven replaces his spot in the UD, Will is possessed, Eleven returns to help him, Will is freed and Eleven must return to hiding until the Snowball. It’s a very interesting choice), they need the opposite forms of love and Eleven is empowered to fight while Will is only able to flight.

There are a few parallels between the two, such as Mike’s “love” hurting both Will and Eleven and strangely enough the love they need from Mike is the opposite of the love they’re receiving from him. They also both feel like monsters or “othered” because of things that they aren’t in control of.

LMAO WHO IS THIS so the answer to this question is a lot more complex than a simple yes or no because of how I personally like to explore interpersonal relationships. my AO3 profile features the line "half my time writing is spent blurring the line between platonic and romantic intimacy and I personally think that's very cool and sexy of me" and I think that's a pretty good representation of how I approach much of my work

if the specific question being asked is "do you actively pursue the idea of sakura and sugishita in a romantic relationship", then the answer is "not really?". I certainly don't mind it, and I enjoy a lot of romantically-inclined sugisaku content! but when I say I think they're neither romantic nor platonic but a secret third thing I mean it.

for me, they exist in this strange, intimate grey area where only two people who understand each other on a deep and instinctual level can really stand. in the past I've seen the phrase "two people crab-walking into intimacy" used, and I think this applies pretty well to them. both of them are unused to most kinds of affection, so it's a relationship that's strange and tenuous, but smoothed out by a unique brand of trust and love (not necessarily romantic, but definitely present). and I just think that's really fun and interesting to explore!

God but the whole Dunholm battle just fucks me up everytime.

You got the story mostly from Uhtred's pov so you see Ragnar as this laid back, honorable guy. The calm one compared to Uhtred and Brida. But here you see him completly out of mind with grief and at the beginning it's satisftying but then he goes on and on and on and on and you can see in Brida and Uhtred's eyes both that neither was expecting that much rage from him.

And in the end Kjartan id dead and so it's Sven but their family's still dead and Thyra's hurt, maybe broken (she's not, she's resilient, she's maybe the strongest character there is but they don't know yet) and she hates them.

She too has had her revenge but at what price? How do you go on knowing that your brothers were alive and living their lives while you were living through hell? And when they're there and you can hurt them too but then they didn't know you were alive so what was the point of it all?
