Remembering Seventeen's age order is a whole ass chore okay so this is how I break it down:

Seungcheol, Jeonghan, Jisoo: This just makes sense. They are the eldest three and it isn't too tough to remember for me

Junhui: He's the oldest of the '96 liners but for some reason he's his own category in my mind and I think it has to do with the alliteration (he's the third J)

Soonyoung, Wonwoo, Woozi: Hoshi's the oldest of the next category in my brain (again it's technically jun idk man), then Wonwoo gives off strong middle child energy. Then Woozi is the annoyed youngest brother of what I consider the older-middle-child group

Seokmin, Mingyu, Minghao: (This one is tough to remember for me because I initially learned their order off the Maestro fanchant where Seokmin and Minghao swapped bc Minghao wanted to be eighth !!) THE MIDDLE CHILDREN ! IT'S A SANDWICH. S-M-M-(S, for Seungkwan). In my mind Seungkwan is the start of the maknae line and Seokmin is the first of the middle children and they have Mingyu and Minghao squished between them. I just have to remember that Minghao is the last member before the maknaes.

Seungkwan, Hansol, Chan: Maknaes. Seungkwan's the end of the SMMS section and Chan is the youngest so Vernon's the middle !
