ABSOLUTELY NOT! I'm so thrilled I finally figured out the technique!! It's been driving me NUTS.

Thankfully I have very pretty spindles to play on, I'll get a group shot of them all together when I'm back at my house in a few days.

Plying the ball from earlier. My wheel is sorta the only thing I can ply it on, but I also can't treadle it without way too much pain. I was trying to spin the wheel by hand but oh my god, it wasn't working at all. Partly bc the way this wheel was designed, it can't actually use the smallest whorl at correct tension. (You also can't use all 3 lazy Kates, as one is too close to the wheel 🙄) anyway, I replaced it with just worsted weight cotton yarn, and what do you know ! It not only works but spin easily and much faster than it used to with the elastic band it came with.

It sounds different now, but I don't mind, as I can at least use it for plying when my arm's not fucked.

I have a cold so I've been going between doing a bit of packing and mending the big ass holes in these slipper socks

Everyone should learn to darn in my opinion, I've already saved multiple sets of socks from the garbage and it's a nice activity if you're AuDHD like me and can't sit still when you're watching a show or movie

Anon that was probably saying sorry, I said sorry because I find what clown roll was saying judgy, it's not easy being broke and not being able to afford food, the last thing a poor person needs is a lecture on how unhealthy their lifestyle is. Like of course it's not healthy, you think someone would CHOOSE to live like that? To eat nothing but trash? Pretty sure if spamton could be eating something not out of the trash he WOULD, he doesn't need someone rubbing how awful his life is in his face when he doesn't really have a way to make it better, like "oh yeah just get some food not in the trash" for free??? Or if you're expecting him to pay, with what money??? I swear financially well off people seem to just forget you need money to do almost anything because of how much they have. If clowny roll really cared so much they should give him some damn money to buy something, granted maybe they can't because of askbox rules, but still.
