To answer your question, in my experience yes and no! What I've been told to do and have done is essentially call up my poor people insurance (fill in the blank) and tell them what's going on and they may or may not send me a packet home to fill out regarding my complaints. It's never done anything though- those doctors haven't felt any repercussions and their jobs are just as stable as before. This could be because my insurance is for poor people so they don't take you seriously which frankly makes sense- that's just kinda how you end up getting treated when you're on my kind of insurance, just in general. But additionally due to my living situation it makes that sort of thing hard because, well, I'm not allowed to do anything without my abusive mother's permission. And I do mean anything. If she doesn't want me to file a complaint I don't get to file a complaint. For reference I only just recently got my first-ever phone, and I'm 25, and it wasn't because of funds considering I got that free phone plan swag.
This is all ironic also considering the fact that my mom got a separate therapist of mine fired when I was 14 because she called CPS and tried to get me out of the house.
