why has nobody literally thought of using disguise self to show astarion what he looks like-

IT'S RIGHT THERE#if i had the creative juices recently id SO fucking write this.#like#the tenderness#the trust that you won't lie and do some major alterations so it doesn't really look like him#the trust in general to be the first time he gets to see himself#the hesitation; the backpedalling; eventually just turning into him and grabbing him by the wrists#making himself look into those eyes you've spoken so highly about#seeing his own laugh lines crease as you smile at him#being able to see where the whisps of hair on his face fall#a hand slowly reaching up to his cheek; touching his cheekbone as he looks at himself for the first time ever#and he just looks at himself. for the first time ever.#he's always known how pale he is; known how white his hair is in comparion to his skin thanks to haircuts#but never how; after feeding from you for so long; it stands out more#how his face is fuller; a ligter albiet still incredibly pale pink#he has to stop himself from reaching out and touching your face because he knows it'll break the illusion#but he's just silently looking at himself this whole time#n yeah#idk drawings can only capture so much. disguise self is RIGHT there. as well as using it to show him cazador's 'poem' on his back
