She is brave, caring, independent-minded, loyal, and determined that men aren’t going to have all the fun. She does what she thinks is right, even if it’s dangerous or difficult. She’s ABSOLUTELY GOT THIS. She’s both the garrison mom and one of its fiercest soldiers. She’s a Musketeer!

Tamla Kari:

She's a fully rounded character, absolutely beautiful, and responds to misogyny with "maybe I bring men to fight [my battles]". She's the Queen's confidante and she's so wonderful that she turns down a man's proposal after her husband's death and he just accepts it and wishes her happiness. This fanvid says it best:

Even though her story is different from the book, it's so wonderful to watch her grow and take such an active role.

Constance is one of the best characters of this show - she gets to be so much more than just a love interest and we get to see her as a fully fleshed out person. Her relationship with Anne in particular stands out as really interesting and fun. She is also a badass and gets to take part in adventures and eventually becoming part of the garrison organisation after she gets to marry d'Artagnan. I'm a sucker for a happy ending and for once Constance gets hers.

After watching “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” I felt morally obligated to watch this one. I LOVE this movie. Porthos is my favorite musketeer.

I tried to find there sona colors but I had a small reference of just the head and I was embarrassed to meet up a different color on there sona so I decided to paint everyone in the background by the “iconic “ color

Except the people in the front and I apologize to everyone in the background that I did not color anybody, so to make it fair I did not even color myself

And if he didn’t understand what is actually going on at the picture those three musketeers in the front have something to do with @ntls-24722 falling to the floor

The Albertina Rasch Dancers with Harriet Hoctor in the Ballet of the King number in The Three Musketeers, a musical based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas père. It opened at the Lyric Theater on March 13, 1928, and ran for 318 performances. William Anthony McGuire adapted the book for the stage; music was by Rudolf Friml and lyrics by P.G. Wodehouse and Clifford Grey. Florenz Ziegfeld was the producer. The show starred Dennis King, Douglass Dumbrille, Reginald Owen, and Vivienne Segal.

The Music of The Musketeers

Part One: Title Sequence and Closing Credits

[I know, I know... I'm terribly late to this party (only managed to watch in Dec 2022 despite having known about it since 2014) but thanks for allowing me to share this with you! 😃]

There's a whole lot to love about The Musketeers, especially the cast 💕, but the MUSIC is definitely near the top of my list. It was a treat to get a title sequence from this epic series as they are pretty rare these days.

Series One Ryan Gage having no direct corresponding image is minor compared to Hugo Speer, whose sequence only consists of a silhouette with a shiny fleur-de-lis. I know Treville all but formed the Musketeers here but c'mon! 🤦‍♀️

Also, check out Athos' smirk around 0:15, lol.

Series Two Still no corresponding sequence for Ryan Gage but hey, at least we can now see Hugo Speer. Progress!

Series Three At last! Everyone has (more or less) their own sequence, although Aramis popping out from behind Athos at Tom Burke's credit cracks me up each time. Perhaps it's keeping with how Tom is introduced throughout the series but I prefer to think of it as a validation of what we all know, that Athos and Aramis are #two sides of the same coin! 😆

I also liked how they sequenced Matthew McNulty's credit here. And they replaced the silhouette of the three (and not even the original three musketeers) raising their swords/rapiers together with one showing all four of the boys. About time! #the inseparables

This video has the closing credits as well, but I'm just here for the music. 😬

Final Thoughts How great is that (most?) British (Merlin, Miss Scarlet and the Duke) and Canadian (Murdoch Mysteries, Hudson & Rex) series still have title sequences? Oh, have a listen, if you haven't yet, to the title theme from Star Trek: Picard Season One. #pretty good

Aramis - Santiago Cabrera The Musketeers 2014-2016

THIS character played by THIS actor is pure, molten fire alchemy. Not just “the pretty one” of the Musketeers (although, dear God, he is certainly that!), IMO he has the most aspects and layers of the quartet. He’s: The Ladies’ Man (natch) The Religious One (who’s willing to damn his immortal soul to save the woman he loves) The Sharpshooter The De Facto Surgeon/Medic (who’s very proud of his needlework) The Insouciant, Quippy One The One Who’s Good With Kids (heartbreakingly, as it turns out) (continued under the cut)

Aramis - Damien Sargue Les Trois Mousquetaires, le spectacle musical 2016

Damien Sargue has cheekbones so sharp they could kill a man. Plus he has the quintessential Aramis Goatee (TM). He's incredibly attractive and has the voice of a god. Also there's this part in the musical where Aramis gets trapped in a giant birdcage by the Cardinal's guards and he sings this really beautiful, mournful song up there but it just makes me laugh every time that they trapped him in a big ole bird cage so that Damien Sargue could have another solo LOL. Worth it though, it's a beautiful song. Almost as beautiful as Damien Sargue's Aramis.

(continued from above) The character certainly gets run through an emotional wringer over the course of the series, easily sliding between his many facets: cheeky flirt, haunted soldier, mischievous trickster, brave stalwart, murderous alpha male (especially if anyone threatens the Queen), yearning smitten kitten, guilt-racked penitent, longing secret father, kind friend to the downtrodden, justice seeker, etc. From very early in the series, we see that underneath that pretty, pretty facade and devil-may-care attitude lies a man with some deep hurt, sadness, guilt, and self-recrimination. And that only gets more pronounced throughout the series. And then, of course, there’s his glorious mane of unruly dark hair and deep brown eyes. That’s just freaking catnip for me. I love him. He is unforgettable and has lived rent-free in my head ever since.

He absolutely nails the dichotomy of the character, both soulful and badass. He’s just so dammed good. And so very, very pretty.

I barely remember anything from said dream but I just woke up very confused because I watched The Three Musketeers Disney movie when I was a kid but I never consumed any other media related to The Three Musketeers so what the fuck??
