my thoughts & recs on each suitor's route (no spoilers)

William: such an interesting take on love. maybe because of his curse but his route is up there with feeling the most historical, period-piece fantasy like (along with elbie and roger imo). he's a very unique LI i honestly felt like his route would do well as a 3 episode anime OVA ヾ( ˃ᴗ˂ )◞ i recommend him if you like a more undefined approach to love, contractual partnership, mature and refined guys and not-so-innocent MC's

Liam: a precious bb ahh, and his VA is so amazing at emotional inflections! liam really shines in being attentive to kate and to the other crown members, i loved how he treated her in his route. i recommend if you don't mind self-deprecating guys, if you like drama and whirlwind romance, and if you enjoy a relationship built on assurance.

Harrison: the best soft opening to ikevil imo. quite a tame route with very real world problems as opposed to dark fantasy. if anyone stays true to his self, it's harry! he has some funny one liners too lol. i recommend him if you like intelligent sarcastic LIs, you like noir crime vibes, and if you don't want a heavy read.

Elbert: i mean he is my oshi for a reason! every time i read his route i fall more in deep love.. the localization team did an amazing job w the translation. i think his POV stories are the best. they add so much to his qualities and i feel really boosts his story. i recommend his route if you love yearning, emotional understanding, tragedy, dark psych thrillers, and slow (but dramatic) burn stories

Alfons: i used to hate him with a passion... until i loved him. his route truly is the definition of "fuck around and find out" keeping you on your toes. i loved the depth he has and how dubious they made him. i recommend his route if you like word/roleplay, morally grey characters, if you like having to guess at things without ever being told the answer, and a "we shouldn't be doing this but.." kinda feeling

Ellis: this man had me doing mental gymnastics to understand his true motives and i looooved that. visuals are also top tier. what i noticed is his route really focuses on his time with kate and has a bit more of a mundane (as mundane can be in ikevil) plot compared to other routes. this let his interactions with kate shine. i recommend ellis if you like hidden duality in a suitor, puppy boys that will do anything for you, a love that feels like a warm blanket, and you're ok with no real character growth (conditional love)

Roger: honestly i put off his route cus i wasn't interested at first but by the third chapter i was like WOW this is a breath of fresh air. the writers showed UP for part 2, i love the new plot points introduced, and his interactions with kate are sooo good. i loved his letters too! i ended up finding him extremely supporting and with a slight gap moe which kept me interested. i recommend this route if you like stories that are plot AND character driven, back and forth banter between MC and LI, and a shojou traditional charismatic love!

[What to Expect]

I will be writing for Nijisanji, which is most likely me, writing for Nijisanji EN but maybe i'll throw in a few works of Nijisanji JP and KR maybe some independent vtubers too but i'm not entirely too sure.

English is not my first language, expect some grammatical errors. My writing also isn't that good, so please don't expect that highly from me.

I specialize on angst the most, so if you don't like angst that much...this is already a warning for you honey. My skills on writing fluff and smut is not that good so I always try to stray far far away from those categories, but I am willing to post some of them if you guys request it. Of course there will be rules on requesting.

[Things I Refuse To Write]

✭Sensitive topics such as r*pe, ab*se, dr*gs etc. [i am vastly uncomfortable with writing sensitive contents, and i want this blog to be a safe place for people so absoloutely none of that.] ✭NijiEN boys being shipped with the NijiEN girls [the NijiEN boys have requested it theirselves to not ship them with the NijiEN girls. I am doing this to not harm their boundaries.] ✭Things that are harmful for NIJISANJI/Independent livers boundaries. [I have a list of the NIJISANJI EN's boundaries and looking for the other branches' and the independent livers' boundaries as well. I will be keeping my eyes on that list.]

Location: Starmony Hall Common Room

Shu: ...Phew, I’ve finally arrived at the dormitory.

Despite it being for the sake of our performance, transporting this much luggage every single time remains a hardship.

However, I see no alternative. Should even a single implement from this trunk be missing, Valkyrie’s artistry would be incomplete.

Mademoiselle: “Say, Shu-kun. Before going to our room, why don't we have the croissants we just bought?”

“There’s nobody else here, so we can take it easy!”

Shu: You certainly have a point, Mademoiselle. I can warm the croissants in the oven, and we can partake of some beverages as well.

I shall head to the kitchen to make the necessary arrangements. You may remain here and wait quietly.

Mademoiselle: “Got it. Take care, Shu-kun♪”

Jun: (...Whew, managed to nab a convenience store lunch that some famous chef had a hand in.)

(I went all the way out just to get it, so there'd be no damn point if I came back empty-handed.)

(I had a time going up and down a dozen places thanks to that, though. Oh well, food tastes best when you're hungry.)

Alrighty then, time to dig in!

Ooh, you've gotta be the rumoured Madonee-san. 'Sup~

Jun: ...?

No reply, huh... Heeey, Madonee-san~?

Shu: —Just what do you think you’re doing, boy?

Jun: Waaagh?

Ahh, aren't you the Oshi-san I've heard so much about?

Shu: Oshi-- Non, I do not ever recall being such a thing where you’re concerned.

Jun: Right, sorry 'bout that. My name's...

Shu: There’s no need to introduce yourself, Sazanami from Eden. Despite me never once asking, Saegusa has spoken of you regardless.

However, what I know of you begins and ends with the fact that we belong to the same agency.

That aside, what business do you have with my Mademoiselle? And what, praytell, have you “heard so much about” where I’m concerned? Has someone been spreading rumors around?

Jun: Woah, what's with the rapidfire questions...

I've just heard about you from Kagehira-san, Oshi-sa... I mean, Itsuki-senpai.

Shu: Kagehira, you say? Then, have you and that child been mingling with each other?

Jun: Yep. Or to be precise, we really only just started talking recently.

I had a chat with him while he was stuck planning for his next performance or something, and we wound up hitting it off pretty well.

It's pretty funny how all that Kagehira-san talks about is Oshi-san this and Oshi-san that. Well, not that I'm in any position to talk, myself.

But yeah, even though we haven't had a chance to meet 'til now, I've heard so much about you that I feel like I already know you, Itsuki-senpai.

— Whoops, sorry to keep you standing around talking. Your croissants are gonna get cold.

I was just about to dig into my own lunch. D'you mind if I join you?

Shu: Do as you please. I have no right to limit your actions.

Jun: Cool, thank you very much.

Shu: ...On that note. What kinds of things has Kagehira been saying about me?

Jun: Hmm, you curious? He's said so much that I don't remember every lil' thing, but...

He's told me that he really respects you, that he aspires to be like you, and —

That he wants to become such an artist that you'd feel no shame standing beside him... stuff like that.

Shu: ...Hmph. That’s easier said than done. For all that, he'll hardly gain a thing from being all talk and no action.

Well, then. We're done with our meal, so if you’ll excuse us.

Jun: Ahh, please hang on just a sec. I'm gonna be done in a sec, too.

All that luggage over there's yours, yeah? I'll help you take it to your room.

Shu: You will…?

Jun: 'Course. I'm used to lugging Ohii-san's stuff around, after all. Though um, I know it might be a lil' much to ask, but in return...—

Itsuki-senpai, you're the one who makes all of Valkyrie's outfits, right? Wouldja teach me how to repair stuff like torn sleeves and side seams?

I've got an outfit I like that's just a bit frayed, y'see. Since I'm not gonna use it anymore, I feel a lil' awkward asking CosPro staff for help.

So I wanna patch it up on my own, instead. It's got all these memories tied to it, too, so it'd be nice if I could fix it up into a good condition for storage while I'm at it.

Shu: I see. That reasoning does sound like an acceptable exchange to me. It’s always beneficial to look after your belongings.

However. If you desire to be taught by yours truly, I refuse to compromise, regardless of who you may be. I suggest you prepare yourself.

Jun: Haha, ready whenever you are. Man, you're really just as Kagehira-san says.

Shu: ...What, exactly, did that child say?

Jun: That Oshi-san won't permit even the tiniest of mistakes, and he's that strict with both himself and those around him — but when it matters most, he's a kindhearted person who'll offer a hand out to you.

Though well, according to him you've been so kind lately that he's actually been feeling like something's missing ♪

Shu: ...Kagehira is getting rather impertinent.

I shall need to educate him properly so as to avoid anything about me being blown out of proportion!

Jun: ...Madonee-san, he's just hiding his embarrassment, isn't he?

Shu: Sazanami, don’t you dare speak to Mademoiselle without permission!

Top Things I Did This Year

More like things I'm thankful that happened xD This year has been absolutely incredible and as far as stages and actors are concerned, I've been pretty damn lucky and got to experience so many amazing things! So here's some of the massive highlights of this year!

1. Went on a Bus Tour!

I've always wanted to go on a bus tour and what's even more amazing is that I managed to get onto MakiChan's Bus Tour! It was such a great two days! MakiChan is just so sweet and so much fun to be around! Also we got cheki's with him, he went around talking to people on the bus stops and lunch times, he came around to everyone's room and did pretty much whatever we requested of him, he must've been absolutely shattered by the end but he was still full of energy and smiling and having fun! I legit cried when he waved us off at the end.... I do hope if he ever does another that I can go again!

2. See TouStage Live

While I only ever appear to complain about TouStage; I absolutely love the series and Touken Ranbu in general and I do think of myself as bloody damn lucky that I've managed to see the LV three times this year (Saien, Akatsuki and Jyoden) as well as go IN PERSON twice (Akatsugi and Jyoden) ALSO I feel pride for the fact they performed at Odawara castle which is literally ONE stop away from where I live! I do feel blessed, I've always felt blessed for how many times I've been able to see this stage series.

3. Went to ALL my Oshi’s BDay Events

Well at least to all the Oshis who DID Birthday Events (HirokiKun and Tomo didn't do one this year but has said he will next year and I only knew about YuuKun AFTER his birthday!). I've been to Domoto's, JP's and MakiChan's! I was also able to go to ShoSans! To be honest, I wanted to get to all the major TokiEnta's boys' birthdays (including Shouta and KishiTaku) but just didn't have time, so hopefully next year I can reach that goal of going to all TokiEnta's Boys' Birthday Events! xD But I'm super happy I managed to get to all my oshis'! Hopefully next year too!

4. Safely completed MakiChan goods collections every time

This one is really silly but MakiChan's characters are super popular; Kuro (K), Ritsu (Ensemble), Manba (Touken), Okita (Hakuouki) so trading and being able to get one full set of his trading goods is super, super difficult! But by a miracle I managed to do it every time! And I'm super thankful that I could! Hopefully next year too!

5. Able to see almost all of KAT-TUN in some form.

KAT-TUN were unforutnately forced to stay on their Hiatus this year for the entire year, but thankfully all three boys got solo events and things that allowed fans to go and see them! So in the end, I saw SOME form of them. I went to Ueda’s play for my birthday ON my birthday and it was a lot of fun and very funny and Ueda did amazing! I watched Kame’s movies and doramas and they were great, also I managed to go and get his concert goods even though I couldn't go to the actual concerts. AND I watched Nakamaru’s show which was absolutely ridiculous and hilarious and one of the best entertainments-ness things of this year. It still cracks me up thinking about it! xD

6. Multiple Showings

Again, I am super duper thankful that I got to see HakuMyu 4 times, Hatsukoi Monster twice, and K Stage 3 times -- while I may not hit for things like TouMyu, EnStage etc. I’m super thankful that for the slightly less popular shows that I’m able to go a ridiculous amount of times! And they were all ones MakiChan was in too! So I felt I could properly support him in quite a lot of things this year even when other things it was more difficult to do! These kinds of chances keeps my motivation, love and support for him going strong!

7. Finally Meeting UeChan!

I was so freaking nervous and I've liked him for a long time (well not really technically) and he was everything I expected him to be like and he was so professional and lovely! It's like a dream meeting him...

8. Unexpected Chances

A few things happened this year that I never thought or imagined possible; for a start:

- The TokiEnta events and seeing the Shachou between events or even seeing him at MakiChan events and him remembering and acknowledging me ^_^ 

Other unexpected things like:

- A Haisute actor helping out at JP's event and just being able to talk to him and have a proper conversaiton with him! And lets not forget THAT Domoto Birthday event and what happened there!! 

- Things like YuuKun yelling 'you're not going back to England are you Alex?!?!?' are just amazing chances and experiences! 

- And Domoto thanking me for 'always sending letter' to him *dead*

- And HirokiKun always taking time to properly talk to me after his events and stages too and remembering what I've told him in letters etc. And doing things like taking my hands and going 'oh they're so cold! Are you okay?!’ and then the next time I see him, he’s like ‘are they cold again this time?! No? You sure? Oh, I'm glad' *dead*

- ANNNND freaking MakiChan on the bus tour patting my head and saying 'I like you' literally inches from my face during his 'going around the rooms' and EVERYONE fucking knowing the next day xD while it definitely wasn't true, I still feel super special and happy that only I got that from him! 

- ALSO lets not forget Shosan sitting on my chair during TokiEnta Events! 

I literally could go on with the amount of unexpect but amazing chances I've had this year! I hope everyone else can have just as many amazing experiences as I do, if not more!

And just to bring it all back to reality:

9. Friends Not Abandoning Me

I can be a super shitty person and I can be super snappy and negative towards the, but they're still by my side, still wanting to spend time with me, still wanting to hang out whenever we get chance and I am always and will always be thankful that they still accept me and don't mind me being in their lives *now I start crying* I'M LOOKING AT YOU ALKOI AND TONBO!

10. Seeing My Grandparents

I may not say it much but I absolutely love my grandparents and I miss them much much more than I do my parents (I can skype my parents whenever and more often than I do my grandparents, and they’re still young and healthy enough to come and see me). They can't travel anymore so I'm super thankful how much I'm able to see them whenever I go back home, even though I'm usually in a pissy-jet-lagged mood. But I love them with all my heart! I think about them every day and I always count down the days to when I can next see them! I always want to see them!

11. See My Friend Getting Married

The first person in my group of friends got married this year and I'm going to be honest, I cried inside the ENTIRE fucking day. This is a friend who I've been friends with since we were 8/9 years old. We've been through some stuff together, we've also had bad times and times we weren't talking but we’ve also had a lot hilarious and fun times. And seeing her in that dress on her wedding day; I died inside. And she deserves all the happiness and all the success! And her partner is just the sweetest person ever! I'm seriously like a proud father giving a daughter away, that's how I feel about this situation. And I wish her nothing but laughs, safety and happiness in the future. Seeing her get married also made me realise, few friendships last, but the ones that do; they REALLY last and me and her are definitely one of those friendships <3
