A8: What was your first fandom? Are you still in that fandom now?

My first fandom was Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit! I’m not in it anymore but I have really fond memories of being 12 and thinking that Legolas was the prettiest man in the world and angsting in algebra class over the fact that nobody was reading my lesbian Eowyn/OC epic on fanfiction.net. Simpler times.

B5: Which story have you read more than any other? How many times?

In the past year, it’s “master of my domain” for sure, because a) it’s great b) it came out a year ago so I’ve had time to steep in how much I like it and c) it’s the perfect length/emotional tone to read in a sitting when you want your fanfic fix. Any of the author’s other similar stories, too. So! Good! Endless! Love!

In terms of all time... if I post about classic Hamilton fandom in the year 2020 I’m pretty sure I’ll be ritually executed, but I was there when Quid Pro Quo by rillrill was updating every day for a straight month and I reread it basically in its entirety every day. For those of you who weren’t obsessively refreshing AO3 every afternoon at 1:00 PM from 2/2/16 to 3/4/16, I’m referring to the 120k intricately plotted sugar daddy political thriller that... still kind of slaps, actually. despite the fact that I hear rillrill herself might be a little :/

C4: What thing that fandom loves do you actually kind of hate? Why?

Woobie Diego who can’t take care of himself is my pet peeve. He’s really competent!! He’s not anyone’s smol egg disaster stabby son, he’s like— nngh I wrote a whole meta about this but essentially my opinion is that I think there’s a middle path between “completely fine and isn’t lonely or traumatized” and “he needs Eudora/Klaus/Five/Luther to hold his haaand.”

D10: What is one story idea you really want to read but no one has written yet?

I keep refreshing Electra_XT’s AO3 page but she never posts anything :(

In all honesty, I am always on the lookout for new blood in my rarepair of choice, and I also yearn for Diego-centric fic that gets him Right according to my picky standards.
