Your bestfriend was turning 19 today. For his birthday, you guys all decided to throw him a surprise party, although you were the mastermind behind most of the plans.
You guys managed to plan a day where you were all free and met up at the store to buy supplies for the party. Bakugo and Izuku picked up the cake, Bakugo insisting that he should be the one to hold it so “none of you idiots drop it”.
Mina and Ururaka handled the snacks and drinks, while you took care of most of the decorations, Denki by your side giving his two cents every time you made a decision. After you guys had bought the supplies, you carpooled over to Kirishima’s house, you driving, of course. The atmosphere was mostly Denki spewing his nonsense, Bakugo yelling at him to shut the fuck up, Mina singing along to whatever the aux was playing, and Izuku and Ururaka chatting it up in the back. Honestly, it’s a surprise you were even able to drive everyone to Kirishima’s place safely with the amount of distractions that you had to deal with.
After successfully making it to his place with all 6 lives, you all quickly ran inside to set up. Fortunately, you were able to keep everyone on track, and the decorations were done in half an hour. Bright red steamers hung down from the frame that led into the kitchen and balloons of all different designs floated gently around the room. Big balloons spelling out “HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRISHIMA” were carefully placed on the wall, visible to those who walked in through the front door. Everyone placed their party hats on, although Bakugo seemed a little more hesitant than everyone else. All the gifts were placed off to the side for him to open later. Finally, you had laid the cake out, bringing the “19” candles out when you hear the locking sound of a car outside the house.
You shut all the lights off and usher everyone to their spots, wanting to make this night perfect for your best friend. You hear the jingle of keys in the lock, walking closer to the entrance, and as the door slightly pushes open, you and everyone pop out of hiding.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!” Everyone screams, Mina and Denki popping party streamers right in his face.
“AH! Fuck guys. Scared me so damn bad!” His crimson eyes drift to yours first, and he looks around, breathing heavily. He was in a black tank and shorts , probably coming back from the gym like always.
“Were you surprised?!?!” You exclaim, grinning from ear to ear. He walks in, placing his bag down as he admires all of your hard work.
“Super surprised. Can’t believe you guys did all of this for me… so.. manly.” It sounds like he’s on the verge of tears, and everyone starts laughing, watching him wipe away the tears that threaten to fall.
“Wait how did you get in?” He looks around confused.
“Dude. I literally have a key.” Denki says, enticing laughs from everyone.
“Well, should we do the cake?!” Ururaka says, and everyone cheers. Of course, you guys set it up as Kirishima goes to his room to freshen up. After a few minutes Izuku calls Kirishima to come down, and he walks out in a white tee and grey sweats. You can’t help but notice how big he’s gotten recently, the gym is definitely doing wonders to his body.
He walks over, towering behind you as you raise the lighter to light the candles. Ururaka gets out her phone and you guys sing happy birthday for him. Before blowing out the candles, he glanced over to you, a gentle smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
Following his “birthday wish” everyone cheers once more, and Izuku takes the responsibility of cutting everyone a slice. Everyone walks over to his couch, and someone puts a movie on the tv though nobody ends up actually watching it. You guys hang out as bestfriends, and it warms your heart to see everyone enjoying the party.
It gets late, and everyone seems to be getting a little tired. Ururaka proposes the idea of everyone taking an Uber back home together, and everyone agrees, but you had something else in mind.
“You guys go okay? Don’t worry about me!” You smile at them, and they all obviously exchange looks with each other.
Denki walks over to Kirishima and whispers something in his ear, something that makes Kirishima flush red. Mina and Ururaka pull you aside aswell, bombarding you with questions.
“Y/N you’ve been spending a lot of time with Kirishima.. is something going on between you two?” Ururaka teases you, causing the tips of your ears to warm up.
“W-what! No of course n-“ as you attempt to defend yourself, Mina interupts.
“Girl there definitely is. What you got planned for him tonight??” She says a little too loud for your liking, and you plead with her to be just a little quieter.
“Oh my god guys. It’s nothing!! Go home please!” You say, almost pushing them out the door.
“Bye Y/N! Oh and you too Kiri!” She winks at you, giggling with Ururaka as they walk out.
You compliment everyone on their hard work, and Kirishima thanks everyone, closing the door as Bakugo is the last the walk out.
“Oi.” Bakugo turns and sighs.
“Don’t do anything stupid.. got it? He says nonchalantly before walking off towards the rest of the group.
You and Kirishima stand there for a minute, trying to comprehend what you just heard. Although you guys ignore the comment, you still can’t help but feel embarrassed.
“So uh. Y/N? Why’d you decide to stay after?” Kirishima rubs the back of his head as he looks down, shy. It’s unlike him to be so bashful, especially around you.
“Just wanted to hang out a little longer. That’s.. okay, right?” You assure, batting your long eyelashes at him, and he nods his head without hesitation. It’s not like he can say no, especially when you’ve got him in a trance with those deep brown eyes.
“You wanna.. watch a movie or something? Or we can do whatever really it’s up to you like I don’t m-“ He starts rambling on, is he nervous? It’s not like you guys haven’t hung out alone together in the past.
Although now that you think about it, he’s been acting a little strange recently, like more than usual strange. A lot of the time he gets a little quieter around you, like he’s picking out his words carefully. You even catch him glancing at you, and you tease him about it all the time.
“Kiri.. you good? I’m fine with a movie!” You ask him concerned, and giggle at his stuttering. It seemed as though he stiffened up at your question.
“Y-yeah.. sorry.” He relaxed again, and you guys walked towards the couch. After a good minute of scrolling through Netflix, you two agree on a movie to watch. He gets up to grab two blankets, but he returns one after you insist that you guys can share.
“Lights off?” He asks, and you nod your head.
You can hear the soft padding of his feet on the wood floor as he makes his way towards you. He gets comfy on the couch, his back resting against the arm of the couch. You move in closer, laying your head on his chest and snuggling up on him under the blanket. He goes silent, and you can feel his heartbeat slowly speed up. Then, he takes his arm and gently wraps it around your shoulder, holding you close. You look up at him and smile, not aware of the position you just put him in.
As you two watch the movie, you move yourself to get more comfortable, and without realizing it, you grind your ass on his crotch. Of course, you were oblivious to what you had done, but Kirishima felt it. He groans quietly at the gentle friction you had unknowingly given him and he prays to god that you just sit still.
However, you still weren’t comfortable. Again, you adjust your body, trying to find a suitable position. And again, Kirishima feels the plush fat of your ass grind over his crotch, a little harder this time. He chokes up, a whimper almost leaving his mouth.
Now he’s hard. He knew it would happen, and he wanted to prevent it but he can’t really control that can he? All he can do is be thankful that the lights are off, otherwise you probably would’ve seen his hardon. Although the thought of you seeing him in this state has crossed his mind so many times over the last few weeks.
“Y/N, I’ll be back, gimme a minute.” You tell him to come back quickly, as Kirishima gets up and makes his way towards the hallway. He disappears into the bathroom, shutting the door.
He rushes to the sink, leaning against the counter. He looks down at his sweats.
Shit.
He was hard as a rock.
“Fuck..” He whispers to himself. He knew when it got like this he was almost insatiable. Sometimes when he got in the mood.. you would cross his mind. Only you. Enticing him with your beautiful complexion and thick lips. He’d always end up jerking his cock for hours, although he understood he’d never truly be satisfied.
But why now? Why when you were literally in his living room, waiting for him on his couch? He had to do something, it was so hard it nearly hurt. Maybe if he could just give himself some friction he could hold out until you went home.
He pulled down his sweats gently palmed himself over his boxers, causing him to gasp, a little too loud. If he’s gonna be indecent in your presence he should at least be quiet.
He’s so needy. So, so needy. He would do anything for you to come over and help him but he knows that’s not realistic. For him to think about you, his bestfriend in a way so lewd is so disgusting, so.. so filthy. He moans quietly, reaching into his boxers to pull out his already leaking cock. He inhales sharply at the familiar sensation, as he runs his trembling hand down the underside of his dick.
He exhales shakily, and begins stroking himself slowly, adjusting to his warm hand.
“A-ah..” he whimpers out, just quiet enough so that you don’t suspect anything. Images of you pass through his mind. Images of your smaller frame, images of your beautiful smile and sounds of your heartening laughter running through his head. You’re so beautiful.
What would you look like with his cock in your hand, in your mouth maybe? He covers his mouth with his free hand and squeezes his eyes shut. How can he think of you in such a vulgar way? You’ve been nothing but kind and respectful to him, and surely you’ll be disgusted and never want to see him again if you catch him here.
His face flushes pink as his cock releases more precum. He picks up the pace and applies more pressure on his cock, using his thumb to massage the slit on his pink tip.
“Ngh.. ah- ah..” he moans into the empty bathroom. It’s only been a few minutes but the feeling of his hand jerking his cock is stimulating him so good. He whimpers and moans quietly to himself, pleading for who knows what.
Still, you’re laying on the couch, waiting for Kirishima to come back. It’s been quite some time now, and he’s still in the bathroom. You get up, and make your way over to the bathroom, calling out for him.
“Kiri? You okay in there?” You ask concerned, maybe he has an upset stomach, he did eat a lot of cake.
The sound of your approaching voice sends Kirishima into a state of panic. He cannot let you see him like this.
“Y-yeah! I’m good!” His voice cracks slightly.
“Just gimme.. gimme a second I’m doing something.” You take his word and make your way back over to the couch. You just hope he’s alright. The sound of your footsteps gets quieter and quieter, and he sighs. A sigh of relief.
“Gotta.. finish.. p-please..” He tells himself, his hand getting tired from stroking his cock. He stroked himself a little faster, using his other hand to play with his balls. He needs all the stimulation he can get.
“F-fuck..” Kiri cries out, biting down on his shirt in an attempt to muffle his loud sounds. He focuses on his sensitive tip, each graze of his finger making him squint. He leans against the wall and tilts his head back, chasing his release.
“Ngh..!” He moans out, at a volume that you definitely heard. He keeps going though, disregarding the sound of your feet padding across the floor.
“Kirishima. Are you okay? I’m worried.” You say against the door, waiting for his response.
His heart stops.
His hand doesn’t.
He whimpers again, his hips begin bucking up into his hand as he desperately chases that sweet release.
“Y/N, I’m.. a-okay.” He tries his best to sound convincing, and he fails horribly.
“Kirishima. I’m coming in.” His eyes open wide and his head turns towards the door.
“No! Y/N don-“ the door swings open, and there you are. In the doorway. Your eyes lock on his hand and bare dick. But he can’t stop. He can’t stop his hand from moving. He can’t stop the whimpers and moans from leaving his mouth.
What a filthy sight.. your bestfriend.. staring at you with such needy eyes as he ruts his hips up into his hand. You freeze for a moment, trying to comprehend what’s going on.
Once you do, you shut the door so quickly, chanting apologies from behind the door. Everything happened so quickly, and he finally realizes what’s going on and lets go of his dick, still failing to orgasm.
“Oh my god. Y/N I’m so, so sorry. I.. I didn’t want you to see me like this.” Kirishima blurts out, you two both still in shock. He’s always had thoughts about you with your eyes on him as he’s masterbating, but now that it’s happened it’s more of a nightmare than a dream.
“Um. I-.. can you.. finish.. at least? I shouldn’t have walked in on you.” What are you even supposed to say? It’s not like you haven’t thought about your bestfriend in sexual scenes like this but for it to happen right now? You’re not prepared!
“Um.. I.. I can’t. It’s been like this for some time. I-it wouldn’t go down.. don’t know what to do.” He says quietly, embarrassed. He wants to disappear. To cry. He’s sure you’d hate him now. But a part of him wants you to assist him in any way possible.
“I’m not really.. I don’t know. Maybe I-I can help you..?” No way you just suggested that. Are you out of your mind, you’re nowhere near experienced!
His eyes light up, he wants to say yes, but he can’t allow you to do this for him.
“No. No, Y/N. I’m sorry this is so disgusting, if you want to leave I understand. I’m so embarrassed.” He tells you from the other side of the door. You feel bad for him. How long has he felt like this? Of course, you want him to come to you for anything but were you offering too much? But you can’t leave him like this, especially since you interrupted his session.
“Kiri, it’s okay. It could be like a learning experience..?” You try to lighten the mood with a half joke. You push the door open slightly, peeking into the room. His eyes avert yours, the tips of his ears and cheeks bright pink.
He glances at you with a look of guilt on his face, looking away again. But you smile at him, trying to alleviate some of the embarrassment he’s feeling. You walk over to him and place your hand on his cheek, causing him to look over to you. Your eyes lock with his crimson eyes and he admires your face. You’re so kind to him. You look down at his leaking cock, he’s still hard. This poor boy.
You reach your hand down to his cock but hesitate.
“Can I..?” You ask him. He doesn’t respond verbally, but he looks at you with a pleading expression, almost begging for you to help him.
You grab his cock, gently squeezing around it. He gasps, his abs flexing. He looks down at you, not sure of what to make of the situation.
“Do you.. like me? Kiri?” You ask, waiting for his response.
“So much. Didn’t want to.. ruin.. our f-friendship..“ he says, whimpering in between each word. You question him further, wanting to know how long this has been going on for.
“Since the f-first.. day. You w-walked into class and I..” he moans as he tells recalls the memory of you. You had just transferred to the school and knew nobody at all. But you got your hair and nails done, and you and everyone else knew you looked good. Unsurprisingly, the boy with the bright red hair decided to walk up to you and show you around the school, soon becoming your best friend.
“..I’ve been.. d-desperate for you for a few..” he begins confessing, lost in the pleasure. Slowly, you increase the speed of your hand, making sure to squeeze his cock each time you reach the base.
“few.. f-fuck.. months. Wanted.. n-needed you ‘s.. bad..”
“And..?” You coax more info out of him.
“I.. everytime it gets like this..” he says, referring to his cock.
“I-I think about.. you.. ‘m.. s-sorry.. ngh.. I would master-masterbate.. for hours. Never was s-satisfied though..”
Your bestfriend just confessed maybe everything? He has feelings for you and he jerks himself off thinking about you. All of this makes you realize that deep in your mind, you felt the same. But pushed the feelings back, for the same reason he did.
“Yeah?” Your tone sultry, a tone you’ve never used with him before. You loll your tongue out, allowing it to tease the tip.
“Y-yeah.. Sh-shit.. even.. even dreamed.. about this.. happening. Never thought it w-would come true.” It’s getting harder for him to form sentences, his brain malfunctioning.
“D-don’t.. don’t hate me.. please. ‘m sorry..” he pleads. Your heart hurts, how could he ever think such a thing?
“I could never hate you, Kiri. I promise it’s okay. You had to deal with this for so long.. my poor Kiri..” you coo at him, running your free hand down his abdomen.
He gazes at you, a lovesick expression plastered on his face. The use of “my” makes his stomach turn. He wants your love. Your praise.
You start to fondle his balls as you stroke his cock, causing him to twitch occasionally. His mouth falls agape slightly, his head falling forward.
“Ah.. it’s.. c-coming..” he whimpers quietly, petting your head gently. His breathing is irregular now, his eyes rolling to the back of his head. He’s so cute, this unknown side of him.
“W-wanna be.. yours.. Y/N. Nobody else… let me, Y/N.. please.” He begins begging. You keep jerking him off, his legs getting weaker each stroke but he keeps thrusting his hips into your hand.
“Y/N please.. close.. r-really close..” your long nails trace his defined abs as you run your thumb over his pink tip, pulling loud moans from the red haired boy. He’s already been caught, might as well be as loud as he wants.
“C-cumming..! Y/N.. a-ah..!” He cries out, holding onto your shoulders for stability, his legs shaking. He squints his eyes and grits his teeth, his veined cock jumping each time it releases a thick spurt of cum. Kirishima is extremely sensitive to touch, his entire body twitching as he cries and whimpers shamelessly.
“F-fuck! T-thank you.. Y/N.. l-love you..!” Did he mean that? Or is he just lost in the overwhelming pleasure? You continue to stroke him through his high, careful not to overstimulate the sweet boy. Still thanking you, he begins to regulate his breathing.
You smile at him, noticing his flushed face and built body. He helps you off the floor, shyly looking away. You assure him that his feelings for you are reciprocated, and you would love for him to be your boyfriend, although it should be spoken about at a better time.
Still, you can feel the strong arousal radiating off of him. He wants more. A lot more, but he doesn’t want to overstep your boundaries. The tension in the air is electrifying, both of you understanding that the other wants them just as bad. You want him so bad. But are either of you guys ready to take it to the next step?

Monotony
Summary? Nah.
Warnings? Yes; hurt/comfort, implied past self-harm, thoughts of self-harm, blood, injury, swords, we just stressed y'all, and Reader is gender neutral.
Translations:
Mon Chéri-My Sweetheart
(kinda how I've been feeling, heh.)
(I tried, ok. Sue me.)
———————————————————————————
Day by day there was always something going wrong, it was growing exhausting.
Y/n sighed and thought, "Today is one of the days where it seems to be piling on and it's grating on my last shred of sanity."
Y/n trudged around the halls of Nevermore doing this and that, getting everything ready for parents day and meetings that are happening later in the day.
They can't help but count all the things that have gone wrong so far that day.
*7am*
Y/n smiled as they turned over but that quickly faded into a frown when they were met with cold sheets on either side.
"What? Where are Issa and Mo?" Y/n thought.
Listening carefully, they could hear commotion coming from the living room, "Bloody hell! All we all wanted was a morning in bed but now we have to wake them up and tell them that it's not possible."
At that Y/n heaved a sigh and climbed from bed and went ahead and gotten dressed and brushed their teeth.
"This wasn't the first time, and it certainly wouldn't be the last." Y/n thought with tears in their eyes.
"Issa, I know come parents day it gets even worse. The students get rowdier, the-" Morticia was cut off by the sound of Y/n padding into the room.
Before Morticia or Larissa could even speak, Y/n spoke, "Ready for another day in hell, aka the week before parents day?"
All the other two could do was nod and agree with equally sad expressions.
*9am*
Y/n had it, their gasket was about to blow if these students didn't pay attention to what they were doing and quit yelling.
Wednesday and Enid could see that their Opie was about to lose their shit so they tried to get everyone to calm down and listen, but before Enid could let out a growl to get everyone's attention and loud "POP!" was heard.
Enid and Wednesday stared as smoke started filling the room, they slowly turned towards Y/n and watched as the vein on their forehead pulsed steadily.
Wednesday and Enid turned to each other knowing what was about to happen, but to their surprise Y/n just deflated and hollered for everyone to calmly file out of the room so it could be vented out.
The girls approached their Opie and asked if they were ok. Y/n smiled the best they could and said, "Yeah, I'm ok, Darlings."
Enid and Wednesday looked to each other once Y/n had turned around and shared a look that clearly said, "Bullshit."
Wednesday took her girlfriends hand and pulled her along knowing there wasn't much that could be done at this point, mainly because Opie was very stubborn.
Y/n could only think one thing as they got the students to the nurse to make sure no one inhaled any poisonous fumes, "Please let lunch go as planned."
*12:30pm*
Lunch was not going as planned, everything was fine one minute, and the next Y/n had to separate a werewolf and vampire.
Blood on the ground from both students was not a pleasant sight, Y/n knew Larissa was going to be fuming once Morticia had told her.
Once out of the nurses office they were called to the principal's office, both students knew that there was going to be hell to pay and all Y/n could say was, "Tough. You two wanted to fight, now you have to face the consequences."
Now that they were in the office Larissa at once laid into the two students. Neither Larissa nor Morticia was paying much attention to Y/n, if they had they would have noticed the tears of stress pricking at the other shapeshifters eyes.
This day was not good so far, Y/n could only hope that it improved.
Larissa had finished yelling and dismissed everyone, "Now Mrs. Addams, Mx. L/n, would you kindly escort the students to their classes? Thank you."
With that everyone filed out of the office and the door shut with a soft thud.
Y/n thought with a soft defeated sigh, "What's next on the itinerary for today..."
*3pm, end of school day*
Everyone was filing out of class, and everything had been relatively quiet after the last debacle, so Y/n was a tad hopeful for the end of the day.
As Y/n shut and lock the door they heard something from above, they looked up only to be met with a sword falling from its spot and coming straight down only to catch Y/n's arm.
Bleeding and defeated on all levels, Y/n trudged back to their shared apartment with Morticia and Larissa.
*Present time*
Not wanting to disturb Larissa, Y/n pushed themselves through the back entrance of the apartment.
Going through the motions of getting undressed, cleaning and bandaging the wound but something out of the ordinary happened, Y/n looked down at their arm and traced the past scars from years back.
As their hand was drifting towards the razor, they snapped back into themselves, and they quickly grabbed their dirty clothes and made sure to drop them into the sink so they could soak.
Going back to the room, Y/n had no strength left to do anything in that moment. Numb, emotionally and physically, Y/n dropped onto the bed, curled into a ball, and broke.
*9pm*
Larissa and Morticia made their way through the door of to the side of the office, noticing it was quiet and there was nothing to show that dinner was ready, Morticia glided into the kitchen but stopped short noticing the clothes in the sink.
Hearing Morticia's gasp Larissa shot into the kitchen and stopped behind her, the sink was filled with soap and bubbles, but something was different, the color of the water was red.
The two women looked at each other and started searching the apartment, calling out Y/n's name they were only met with silence.
It was never quiet, Y/n was always shooting around a corner, smiling and greeting them but there was nothing this time around.
Morticia looked at Larissa and said, "Bedroom. They have to be in the bedroom."
They made their way towards the bedroom and softly pushed open the door, the sight that greeted them broke their hearts.
Always the happy, giggly, blushing Y/n was curled on their side staring at the wall with tears rolling down their face.
Morticia knew that she and Larissa had failed in something, they had failed to notice that Y/n was slowly breaking.
Looking at Larissa, Tish nodded towards Y/n. They walked over towards the younger of the three, Morticia slipping off her heels and climbing in on one side, Larissa doing the same and slipping in on the other side, and Larissa softly spoke, "Oh Darling, I'm so sorry."
Nothing, all they were met with was silence. The two looked at one another and carefully but tightly embraced Y/n, and that was all it took.
Body shaking, broken cries clawing their way out of Y/n's throat, they were letting it all out.
Met with murmurs of love, care, support, and validation from the women, Y/n calmed down about an hour later.
Larissa spoke with tears rolling down her face as Morticia crooned Y/n's f/s softly, "Oh sweetheart, we are so very sorry. We should have been paying attention, we should have seen it, we should have done something... anything. I'm sorry, my love. I'm so sorry."
Larissa placed a soft kiss upon the old scars and the fresh wound as Morticia spoke, "Our sweet Y/n, I'm sorry we put so much on your shoulders, I'm sorry that we weren't here to help, I'm so very sorry that we have neglected you, mon chéri. From here on out we will make sure to make time during the day and prioritize our time and well-being over work."
Y/n couldn't say anything but snuggle deeper in the hold of the two women, hearing Morticia croon softly between laying firm kisses upon their head and Larissa squeezing tighter, Y/n drifted off to sleep.
Noticing the younger of the three had fallen asleep, Morticia and Larissa made a silent promise to each other and to Y/n, they would never neglect their time together or their precious, bubbly Y/n, ever again.

His blood-stained hands
"Why do you wish to know my true face?" "Because I need to know what lies under that paper facade," "Then you must be curious, but be careful, curiosity kills the cat,"
There was a magnificent kingdom beneath the pristine waters of Temasek. In that kingdom lived a stern but respectful king, who was wed to his smart and beautiful wife. They had three children, the eldest strong enough to blow away three sea people with a single breath, the middle smart enough to solve complicated mathematical equations in no time. The couple had a brawns and a brains, they had expected to receive a beauty too. But oh, who knew, the product that came out was simply.. ugh.
It was horrendous.
It was hideous.
The king did not believe this at first. How could a perfect couple such as themselves create such a disgusting creature, after all?
So he had visited a fortune-teller, and a terrible news he was told.
"This third son is a curse, he will overthrow your kingdom, kill your family, and drive you mad to the point where you kill yourself!"
The king had to do something about that. After all he was not about to let his kingdom fall into the hands of a curse.
So he exiled the young prince, who was only 4 at the time, and branded him as "August", meaning "unsightly curse of death and plague" .
August wandered the land around, fending for himself until he was 18.
That was the year it all began.
The king had finally begun to succumb to his fear of the fortune-teller's prophecy.
He had approached a dark witch and sold his sanity to her, for the sake of gaining the power of mind-control.
To control August.
He would always remember that day. That nightmarish day his body was forcefully taken over, his body that had taken the lives of countless innocent sea people.
He could still recall that day with clear clarity.
He looked down at his hands once more.
Were they his hands?
Or were they not his hands?
These hands stained with blood... were they his hands?
The excessive practice of this dark magic art had drove the king mad, and instead of using August's body to kill mere commoners, he had aimed for his wife and two kids already.
And in the blink of an eye, his hands were already stained.
His hands and not his hands.
He was powerless to resist. His hands were the ones suffocating his birth mother and two birth brothers himself.
But all hope was not lost. Six divine pillars of defence descended from the Heavens and had intervened immediately, lifting him from the king's control.
But the king was already beyond rescue.
"Kill... kill me...ahahhghgghh!!!!!"
The king was the one who had been screaming out of madness and begging for euthanasia.
So August did it. He gave it to him. He killed him with his own bloody two hands.
Just then, the pillars had planned to strike and kill August too to get rid of the monstrosity standing in front of them.
But just as Fentanyl swung his sword, August quickly realised what was going on and swiftly dodged the attack.
It had hit a little rabbit instead.
The little rabbit laid down on the floor, bleeding out from Fentanyl's heavy attack and on the brink of death.
Everyone immediately ceased all fighting.
Then a queer thing happened. August knelt down, picked up the little rabbit, and tended to its wounds, gently caring for it.
"Something who cares this much for some random animal could never hurt a fly," the pillars had concluded. "He is free to go, oh and even better, he could be our disciple,"
Then August stood up and walked the injured rabbit over to his dead family's bodies.
"Mother, Father, Brothers, ... forgive me." And he performed an extremely strange phenomenom. He had carefully extracted a portion of each of their faces, and sewed them together to make a mask.
A mask he would wear.
A mask to cover his horrendous face.
And so he put it on with his bloody hands.
His bloody hands that were not his hands.

I love the idea of Ingo staying behind to save the premature sneaslet.
If there was still a part of the population that was wary of them it would silence them for good.
"The criminal that stole the eggs decided to risk being caught for the safety of the baby"
Like, nothing would show how much he cares more than that.
It would be so cool if there was still some problems with being wanted.
And Ingo not trusting people and being extra wary of everyone. Like "gosh this is worse than I thought, what happened to him ?". *Slap ingo's mantits* "this grown man can fit so much anxiety!"
And then he joins Akari and the others at a secret meet point but surprise! He's not alone, one of the more trusted people like Emmet or Lucas is with him.
Not sure if any of it would fit with what you have planned, but it would be fun.
Yaaaassssss
This is why I love the idea of Ingo going in solo.
Sneaseler entrusting him with her partially hatched baby. They’ve managed to keep her mostly in her egg for safety. The top has been broken off so they can see her tiny face and her claws but they can’t let her fully out or there will be no saving her.
Ingo would tuck her against his chest under his coat and book it to the closest poke center. If they’re closest to a heavier populated city then that’s where he’s going. He’d be riding on the back of his Alpha Wyrdeer with Gliscor and Chandelure out and flying by his sides. Every one who sees him and his entourage coming and the terrifying determined look on his face dives for cover.
This man is a sight! Galloping in on his white seed of legend with his dark tattered coat waving behind him, accompanied the flapping of bats wings and eerie ghostly flames.
When he reaches the center he doesn’t even stop to recall any of the pokemon, he just rushes in and up to the counter, giving the poor receptionist the scare of her life. but then he careful pulls the half hatch sneaslet into veiw and so politely and desperately asks for her help.
The center staff all spring into action, carefully taking the hatchling from him and placing her immediately into an incubator. The receptionist drills him on any information he had on the egg and he tells her absolutely everything he knows. When she was laid, how long her mothers clutches usually take to hatch, when the egg was discovered to be damaged, what he did to try and seal it, how long she’s been breathing on her own and her behavior since half hatching.
They’re all surprised by just how much he knows and how detailed his knowledge it. They had been expecting him to have been a thief, not a breeder. They ask where the mother is and he just tells them she’s safe and refuses to offer any more information on her whereabouts.
All three of his Pokémon have joined him, Gliscor and Wyrdeer (whose antlers are just barely scraping the ceiling) stand close behind him as they look around at the strange surroundings. Chandelure seems to be having a conversation with one of the Chanseys, most likely assuring her this is all just one big misunderstanding and that her trainer is really a great guy.
(Meanwhile, the local police office have had their phones blowing up with sighting of the wanted fugitive and his dangerous pokemon terrorizing the streets.)
A nurse politely request that he returns at least two of his Pokémon to their balls unless any of them needs medical attention as well. He complies, deciding to keep out Chandelure as she seems the most comfortable in this new surrounding.
As intimidating as he seems, they appreciate how forthcoming and respectful he is being and allow him and chandelure into the room where they take the sneaslet for examination. it’s also for the pokemon‘s comfort as he has been with her since her hatching and May have a better chance of recovery with his presence.
This would be where my idea of Ingo and Akari’s Arc-Phones being able to communicate with each other would really come in handy! They could be texting one another for updates and, if they have unlock the photo feature, (which they should because Ingo’s could take video at one time) he would send her pictures on how the sneaslets doing. Video call is also a possibility if only for Sneaseler’s sake to know both her babies are ok.
Around now would be when the authorities might roll up, and the nurses would all stand their ground Against allowing them to take Ingo away from this delicate situation.
From there things are getting wobbly, Emmet and Elesa are sure yo have heard of this by now, as had the rest of the country. So this could be the big moment when all the folks after Ingo start arguing about what to do with him while the staff of the poke center are all solidly on Ingo’s side because there is No Way he was lying about what he told them.
Oh!! This could be how Ingo and Emmet reunite! The staff would totally agree to allow his family to see Ingo while Elesa and everyone else are still arguing.
Emmet stepping into the poke hospital room to find his brother half asleep leaning against the incubator while gently petting the sneaslet within.
And! I love the idea of him later meeting back up with Akari at a secret meet point. And if he brings Emmet and Barry with him then I can give Barry and Dawn their own reunion scene separate from Ingo’s, Emmets, and Elesa!

MK SO-
I just got the Pokémon SWSH DLCs and I was wondering what it would be like for some legendary Pokémon to come to twst and cause some trouble(Legendarys I’d like to do ( you c an pick just one: Kyogre, Giratina, or Groudon)
If you can i want it to be just Diasomina!
This turned out longer than I expected and I got so mad with myself because I was almost done with writing this and I accidently deleted all my new work, so I had to start over from my last save point which is one of the reasons it took so long to post.
I’ve been binge playing the old Sinnoh games and rewatching the anime, so this was fun to write (despite me deleting my work).
This will have references to the Pokémon Platinum game, so spoilers if you haven’t played the game and plan to.
Hope you enjoy!
Malleus's favorite time of the day was night time. Night time was the best!
The world was at peace, it was quiet, everything was asleep, save for a few nocturnal creatures much like himself, he could hide from SIlver and Sebek and have some time to himself, and there were no students or humans who would see him and run away in terror.
But his favorite thing about night time was probably when he got to visit his favorite human, (Y/n).
Their situation was a bit odd, having appeared out of nowhere from a world full of creatures called Pokémon, but Malleus didn't care. They weren't afraid of him. After spending a lifetime of having people fear him due to his name, it was a nice change.
Malleus arrived at the Ramshackle dorm to find you already sitting outside, cleaning your Empoleon's feathers.
"Greetings, Child of Man." He greeted, happily walking up to you.
"Hey, Tsunotaro." You smiled, putting down Empoleon's brush to wave at him.
That was another thing Malleus adored about you. Even after finding out who he was, you still didn't fear him and continued calling him by that amusing nickname you gave him.
You both entered the dorm, along with Empoleon, and he was instantly greeted with the rest of your strange creatures. Luxray, Togekiss, Glaceon, Garchomp, and Lucario.
You headed over to the kitchen to make some tea while he got comfortable on the couch. Once he was seated, Garchomp laid its head on Malleus's lap, implying that it wanted scratches.
By the time you had returned with two mugs of steaming tea, all the other Pokémon had already gotten comfortable and most had fallen asleep.
You handed Malleus his mug before sitting down in your chair. Glaceon hopped up and curled up in your lap before falling back asleep.
After you both got comfortable, you began regaling Malleus with stories of your world.
Malleus loved hearing your stories.
From your gym battle challenges to your contests. Catching all your Pokémon and even receiving an egg from a woman named Cynthia that hatched into a Togepi that which layer evolved into your beloved Togekiss.
Malleus has never left the Valley of Thorns, except for school, so he enjoyed hearing about your travels. Your freedom to journey and see so many different places, never being tied down, he envied it.
“May I see your badges and ribbons again?” He asked.
“Sure.” You agreed, getting up to grab them.
At the movement, Glaceon, rather huffily, got up from your lap and moved to Malleus, curling up on his lap instead. He instantly started stroking her with one hand while the other continued scratching Garchomp. He only stopped when you handed him your badge and ribbon case.
He immediately opened them both and admired your impressive 7 badges and 5 sparkling ribbons.
You had told him that even though you had collected the required number of ribbons, you were transported to Twisted Wonderland before you could compete in the Grand Festival. You also hadn’t yet had the chance to earn your 8th and final gym badge, which allowed you to challenge the Elite Four and the Sinnoh Champion.
“They are very impressive, Child of Man.” Malleus complemented.
Even though there wasn’t a gym challenge or contests in Twisted Wonderland, Malleus could tell how much value each badge and ribbon you earned had.
“Thanks, Tsunotaro.” You beamed, positively preening at the complement. “Maybe when I find a way home you could come with me and have your own journey. There are a bunch of dragon type Pokémon I bet you’d like. Maybe your starter could be an Axew. Or a Dino. Maybe a Gible seeing how well you get along with Garchomp. There are also rock or electric types. OOH- Maybe a fairy type!”
Malleus tuned your rambling out. His head was both empty and racing.
Him? Go on a journey in another world? The idea was preposterous! Yet... also tempting.
Traveling around with no chains. Nobody knowing who he was, thus no one quivering at the sight of him. No overbearing, but well meaning, guards to coddle him. He liked this idea!
Unfortunately, he didn’t have long to dwell on the tempting daydream when Ramshakle’s door slammed open with a loud bang.
“WAKA-SAMA!!!”
Speak of the devil.
You and Malleus turned to the doorway to a disheveled and hysterical looking Sebek and a normal sleepy looking Silver.
“Sebek.” Malleus greeted, hiding his annoyance of being interrupted during his time with his Child of Man.
“Waka-sama, you mustn’t leave without telling us! What if something happens to y-”
The half-fae was cut off by and ice beam, freezing him solid. You and Malleus looked over at Glaceon who was angry about having her sleep disturbed for a third time. Now quite irritated and huffy, Glaceon angrily marched upstairs to try and get some sleep in your room.
“My apologies.” You jumped when Lilia appeared behind you without warning, hanging upside down as usual. “They ran off when I wasn’t looking.”
You looked back at the other Diasomnia residence. Silver had already fallen asleep, using Togekiss’s soft, feathery body as a pillow, while Sebek was slowly beginning to thaw out of the ice.
You wish you could say this is the weirdest thing to ever happen with them.
After having Lucario use force-palm and free Sebek, you all sat down near the fire.
(You left Silver be since he was already asleep.)
Sebek wanted to know what was so fascinating about you that Waka-sama would continuously come visit you.
The only thing you could think of was telling them about your journey.
“After I won my seventh gym badge at Snowpoint, I had to meet my friend, Barry, at Lake Acuity and right after that I had to meet with Professor Rowan and Lucas at Lake Verity.”
“Why did you have to go to those lakes?” Lilia asked, genuinely curious as to what value they had.
“Uh, well-- mmh-- pthbbt.” You tried to think of a way to avoid that question, or at least dance your way around it, and the stuttering and raspberry blowing was obviously helping you be discreet in avoiding the question.
“GLACE!!”
A loud yell echoed from upstairs thatw as loud enough to wake even Silver. You were momentarily grateful that you had been interrupted before realizing ‘Oh shit that’s my Pokémon.”
“Glaceon!” You yelled, bolting from your chair and rushing up the stairs with your Pokémon and the Diasomnia boys at your heels.
You opened your bedroom door with a loud bang and saw Glaceon in a defensive stance, hissing at the mirror with Grim looking frazzled.
“Fgaah! Minion, control your Pokémon! I was asleep and then it started shouting and tried to attack the mirror!” He yelled angrily, before stalking off to the living room to continue sleeping.
You sighed before looking over at the mirror. You held out your arm towards your Pokémon so they knew not to do anything yet. You inched closer to the mirror, pausing only for a second to pet Glaceon and calm her down a bit. You walked forward a few more steps until you were face-to-face with the mirror.
Now that you were closer, you could see the shadow of something moving within the glass. You didn’t know what it was, but it wasn’t Micky. You leaned a bit closer, trying to make out the figure--
“GIRATINA!!”
Everything went black.
~
The first thing you noticed when you could see again was that you were clearly not in your room. Or your dorm for that matter.
Everything was weird. You weren’t sure of any other way to describe it other than weird.
Weird and familiar.
“The Reverse World.” You muttered, shocked by your sudden return to the feared Giratina’s playground.
You didn’t have long to stay dumbfounded when you remembered the Legendary who lived in this world. You frantically looked around you and saw that your team and the boys were with you, which did nothing to curb your panic. Grim wasn’t with you all, so you assumed hoped that he was still at Ramshackle.
You first woke up your Pokémon. They freaked out for a second before realizing where they were, putting them all on guard. They carefully scanned their surroundings for anything they found threatening while you quickly crawled over to the boys, traying to shake them awake.
“Get up. Guys, get up! We need to move!”
The Diasomnia boys hardly registered what was happening and where they were before you pulled them away. Your team created a barrier around you all as you lead the boys through the strange new world. All they could do was look around wildly.
“Careful, gravity gets weird here.” You warned them.
True to your words, the piece of land you all were walking on started to curve in the air until you all started walking upside down. Even Lilia, who was used to hanging upside down, was a bit thrown off about this.
“What is this place?” Silver asked what everyone was thinking, knowing that you were the only one who could give any of them an answer.
“The Distortion World.” You explained. “Also known as the Reverse World. It’s kind of like the Underworld of my world.”
That explanation only provided them with more questions but went they entered a place that had these large bubbles floating around them they were quickly distracted.
“Hey,” Silver called, gaining everyone’s attention. “This thing has headmaster Crowley in it.”
Said bubble did have a picture of Crowley in his office, working late into the night. Huh. Who know he actually did anything.
Silver raised a hand towards the bubble.
“No, don’t touch it!” You exclaimed. Unfortunately it was a second to late and the bubble popped at the slightest graze of Silver’s fingers.
The boys looked over to you at the sound of you yell, seeing your panicked expression.
“Don’t. Touch. Anything.” You order, stressing out each word. “Everything in this world effects the real world. If you aren’t careful you could kill someone through this place.
The boys looked positively alarmed.
“Will the headmaster be alright?”
You waved off their concern, continuing to lead the way. “He’ll be fine. Popping that bubble didn’t kill him, but it did feel like he was hit with a bowling ball.
“How do you know this? How do you know so much about this place, (Y/n).” Lilia asked, dead serious.
You glance over your shoulder at them before sighing.
Guess it was time to come clean.
“There are some things that happened during my journey that I didn’t tell you guys about.” You confessed.
“While journeying through Sinnoh, I constantly ran into an organization called Team Galactic. Their leader, Cyrus, believed that the world was ugly and needed to be destroyed. His plan was to capture the legendary Pokémon, Palkia and Dialga, and the Lake Guardians, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. Those three were the reason I met Barry and Professor Rowan at the lakes, Lilia, to try and save the Lake Guardians from Team Galactic. Anyway, Cyrus claimed that he was going to create his own, perfect world using the powers of the legendary Pokémon. At least I think that was his plan. He talks like Shakespeare and I have a middle school education. Anyway, before he could create his ‘perfect world’ Giratina appeared and took Cyrus away to here, the Distortion World. This is Giratina’s domain.”
The boys were stunned into silence. They knew you were strong, but for you to have done all that as well as fighting overblots? They were truly impressed.
“What happened afterwards?” Malleus questioned, enthralled by your story.
“Cynthia, the current Sinnoh Champion, and I entered the Distortion World to save Cyrus. Unfortunately, he saw this place as his ideal world and didn’t want to leave. In the end, we had to use force and I beat him in a battle. And, after that, I had to face Giratina itself. But, I don’t know how, but before I could face it, the Dark Mirror called me to Twisted Wonderland.”
You stopped walking, taking a deep breath before turning to face the boys.
“We need to find Giratina. Giratina’s the only Pokémon that can travel between worlds and its the only thing that can get us back to Night Raven.”
Your tone alone was enough to my the Diasomnia boys understand the severity of the situation.
“Human, if this creature is as powerful as you claim, then how do you expect to get it?” Sebek interrogated.
You reached into your pocket and pulled out a purple ball with an ‘M’ on it, showing it the the boys.
“This is a master ball. I stole it from Cyrus’s base when I went to save the Lake Guardians. It can catch any Pokémon without fail. All we need to do is find Giratina.”
“Lucar!”
“Luxray!”
You all turned to Lucario and Luxray who were growling in the same direction. Looking closely, you could see something coming at you all. Your team took their battle stances and sure enough, there was the Angel of Darkness itself, Giratina.
Even Malleus had to admit, that creature was terrifying.
It looked like a dragon and centipede mixed together, but it towered over everything, easily dwarfing them all.
You waisted no time.
“Empoleon, Hydro Cannon!” You ordered. Even Sebek had to admit that your authoritative tone was hard to ignore and resist, full of confidence and superiority.
Empoleon listened without question, fearlessly attacking the towering giant.
“Lucario, Aura Sphere! Glaceon, Ice Beam! Luxray, Thunder! Garchomp, Dragon Rush!”
All your Pokémon attacked at once, hitting Giratina square on. The legendary screeched before firing a move of its own that your team narrowly avoided.
“Great job. Keep attacking!” You ordered shooing the boys out of Giratina’s firing range.
“What do we need to do to help, (Y/n)?” Malleus asked. He was already gripping his pen, ready to fight.
“Nothing. Just stay put and don’t move.” You ordered sternly. The boys were stunned.
“What?! (Y/n) we can help-”
“I know you can help,” You cut off. “But I don’t need to defeat Giratina. I just need to distract it.”
You ran off before they could question what you meant, whistling for your Pokémon.
“Togekiss!” You called, jumping off the edge of the land and easily getting caught by your flying type, who flew you behind Giratina.
You let your team get in one last group attack before throwing the master ball at Giratina.
The legendary effortlessly went in and after a spectacular dive made by you and Togekiss, you caught the ball and returned to the boys.
The boys ran over to you as you climbed off Togekiss, looking at the ball in your hand.
“I can’t believe you actually caught it, human!” Sebek exclaimed, flabbergasted.
“Thanks, Sebek.”
“So what now?” Silver asked. The group all turned to you expectedly and you rolled your eyes before turning around to the wide open space and releasing Giratina from the master ball.
“Giratina,” You called, “Please take us back.”
Giratina stared down at you before letting out an echoing screech and lowing its head to your level.
Immediately understanding what it wanted you to do, you crawled onto its head before waving the boys over.
“C’mon. We its going to take us back.”
Hesitantly, the boys climbed on with your Pokémon and once everyone was on, Giratina soared through the air.
This was different from riding a broom or riding Togekiss, who was happily flying beside you all, but it was exhilarating at the same time.
Too soon for anyone’s tastes, Giratina slowed down to a stop before lowering itself down so that everyone could climb off.
The place were Giratina dropped you all off was a small patch of land with two lakes on it. You and the boys could see your bedroom in one of the lakes, making you realize that you were looking through your bedroom mirror.
“Alright!” You cheered. “Let’s get back.” But before you could step through the reflection, Empoleon called out to you.
“Empoleon!”
“Huh? What is it, Empoleon?”
He was looking in the other lake, pointing at something.
You, your team, and the boys looked through the refection and you couldn’t restrain the gasp that left your mouth.
You could see the Mesprit, the guardian of Lake Verity.
“That’s Mesprit, Lake Verity’s guardian!” You exclaimed, coming to several realizations at once. “That’s close to Twinleaf Town. I-I could go home!”
You turned to your team and the Diasomnia boys, your eyes sparking with both joy and a few unshed tears. “With Giratina we can go home and still stay in Twisted Wonderland!”
Mallues watched you with soft eyes. He had seen a side if you tonight that he had never seen before. Your courage, your confidence, your skill. He had these too, but yours stemmed from experience. This wasn’t something you were taught since you were born like him, these were abilities you learned through trial and error with your team. Something that he wanted.
With a new found determination, Malleus turned to his most trusted knights and friends.
“Lilia, Silver, Sebek,” He began, quickly gaining everyone's attention, “I have decided that until it is time for me to receive the crown from my grandmother, I want to travel (Y/n)’s world with a Pokémon of my own.”
Even you weren’t expecting that announcement.
“WHAT?! WAKA-SAMA ARE YOU FEELING WELL?!?!? WE MUST GET YOU TO AN INFIMERORY!!”
“I’m fine, Sebek. And I’m not joking.”
“WHAAAAAAAT?!?! YOU, HUMAN, YOU HAVE GIVEN WAKA-SAMA THIS DANGEROUS IDEA!!”
“I think its a great idea.”
“MASTER LILIA?!?!”
“zzzzz”
You couldn’t help snorting at the scene in front of you. A rather calm Malleus simply being unmovable about his choice of coming home with you, a hysterical Sebek trying to talk him out of it, an impish looking Lilia who actually supported Malleus’s idea, and a snoozing silver, who could still sleep effortlessly despite the chaos surrounding him.
You leaned up against Empoleons belly, him and all your other Pokémon already lying down, knowing that this was going to take a while. Even Giratina was curled up!
But, You thought, watching the group was a soft smile, you know that no matter how much you wanted to go home, you would've missed this. And this, your friends and NRC, was something that you never wanted to lose.
Bonus:
After sorting everything out with Crowley, you returned to your world to reconcile with your friends and your mom. It took some explaining, but bringing Grim back with you as well as Malleus with his magic and horns was enough to convince everyone what happened to you.
Afterwards, you were able to compete in the Grand Festival. You didn’t end up winning, however you did make it to the finals. Your opponent, Dawn, had only beaten you by a few points.
The Diasomnia gang, as well as Grim, the Adeuce combo, and the Pomefiore Trio were all present to see this and couldn’t have been prouder.
Once the Grand Festival had come to a close, you headed over to Sunnyshore City and won your 8th and final Gym Badge, permitting you to challenge the Elite Four and Cynthia.
The Pomefiore Trio didn’t watch these challenges, but the other did.
Their nerves were through the roof when you finally faced Cynthia. And when your Garchomp miraculously out sped her Garchomp with the finishing move nobody cheered louder.
In the end, you took Malleus to the place where you caught Garchomp back when he was still a Gible and caught Malleus his own, whom he unironically named ‘Gargoyle.’
Malleus did have to return to the Valley of Thorns, but not without you promising that the upcoming summer would be the start of his own Pokémon Journey.
I wrote most of this forgetting about Grim, so sorry he doesn’t have a bigger role or more screen time.
Fun story; I got in trouble for writing down my ideas for this at work even though I did it while the store was dead and I’ve worked there for nearly two years and have either written something or drawn something almost every shift I have. Litterally no one but the manager to caught me cares.
And, just to irritate me more (whether she was aware of it or not), said manager takes my writings and decides to read them and then proceeds to put them back in the wrong order before lecturing me.
So, yeah, that was fun.

“I shouldn’t have let her go out there.”
Fu watched the school nurse, Angela, fret as she paced back and forth.
“I understand your concern, but I believe that it will all be alright. Ladybug and Chat Noir haven’t failed in handling an akuma yet,” he explained. “The girl will be okay.”
The nurse stopped pacing.
“I appreciate your optimism but… I am really not used to this,” She said as she gestured to the air.
Fu blinked at the statement.
“Oh?”
“This! This whole thing! Super villains that appear whenever someone gets sad, teenagers with superpowers! This is all new to me! I just moved to Paris a month ago from the countryside. All I wanted was to further my education and get work in the medical field. It… It boggles my mind that everyone in this city is so okay with all of this! Even my new boyfriend Curtis is able to shrug off an akuma attack like a sudden drizzle. This isn’t normal!”
The guardian could tell the young woman was distressed, and he couldn’t blame her. In a way, he envied her. This was all foreign for her, but to him, this was his entire life.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to blow up like that. I've had a lot to deal with, and this whole situation is just so…”
Fu moved to her and helped her sit down.
“It’s alright, this is by no means a good situation. Your concerns are very understandable. I can tell that deep down that your frustration and fear come from compassion and empathy. You will make a wonderful doctor one day.”
She took a deep breath.
“Thank you. You have no idea how much I really needed to hear that today.”
“How about I teach you a medication technique that will help you calm down?”
“Meditation? I'm not really one for that kind of stuff.”
“If one wants to be a doctor, being able to calm down and handle an emergency situation is a must.”
The school nurse agreed that he had a good point, and that this may help get her mind off of things.
“Okay, I guess I'll give it a shot.”
Fu smiled.
“Good. Let us start simple. Close your eyes and put your hands together.”
Angela felt the action was a bit odd but complied.
“Now, take a deep breath. Count to 5 in your head and then breathe out.”
She took her breath and followed the order.
“Whenever you feel a thought come to your head, simply picture yourself putting it out of your mind and into a bucket.”
She tried her best to comply.
As she did this, Fu moved behind her and quickly pinched a nerve on her neck, causing the young woman to seize up for a moment before losing consciousness.
“That will help her relax.”
He carefully moved her to the cot and laid a sheet over her like a blanket.
Once it was clear that she was asleep, a turtle kwami flew out of hiding.
“So, what do we do now, Master?”
Fu took a moment to consider.
His plan was already in motion. Ladybug and Chat Noir had plenty of allies to help fight the akuma. All that needed to be done was to sit down and wait.
But as he thought about it more, he couldn’t help but think that he should go in personally. It was what he'd initially planned to do with akuma, after all. Listening to this young woman’s fears made him really see how his inaction has led to such fear and uncertainty.
For once, it was time for him to go on the offensive.
“Now we head out and find this akuma.”
“Master, you already sent out three miraculous. Let the other heroes handle this,” Wayzz insisted.
“The people of Paris should not have to become used to this. I have been far too lax with this situation. Right now, Ladybug and Chat Noir are facing their most dangerous akuma yet. For decades I have always remained passive in order to avoid making another mistake, but I have already made so many with my inaction. It's time I stop letting my actions be dictated by fear.”
“But Master, you can’t transform! Your body is too old to handle it!”
“Fear not, Wayzz. I have been exercising and restoring my vitality with the techniques of the guardians. By my estimation, I should be able to maintain the transformation without too much issue for 10 minutes,” Fu assured.
“That is not a lot of time, Master!” Wayzz pointed out.
“True, but it is better than nothing. We will head out and wait for the moment we need it. Be ready, Wayzz.”
The old guardian started heading to the door.
“But Master, what if you get captured? What if the akuma does succeed and you are unable to step in?”
Fu paused at the door.
“I know you are concerned for me. I appreciate your care. But I need to go out there. I have lived a long life, Wayzz, far longer than most humans. One day I may not be here to be the guardian.”
Wayzz felt a pang of sorrow hearing his Master talk about how he would no longer be around.
“But that’s okay. I know that when that time comes… I have two young heroes that will be ready to stand up and fight. The best thing an old man like me can do is pave the road for them.” The guardian said with certainty. He went to open the door.
“Fu…”
The old man stopped. Turning around, he saw the turtle kwami he had known for most of his life smile at him.
“I know you think of yourself as a failure of a guardian… but Su Han and the others were wrong. You are a great one. You are the most caring guardian that has ever held the title. And I will be by your side to the end.”
The old man felt his eyes well up at the sweet comment.
“Then let’s go, Partner.”
___________________________________________________________________________
The dragon heroine grabbed the confused snake hero and moved him to the closest room before closing the door.
“Okay we should be safe here,” she said as she looked over to her comrade. It was clear that Viperion was still very confused. It did not help that both his and her miraculous were beeping. They didn't have much time.
“Thanks… ummm,” Viperion started as he tried to rack his brain for a name. Part of him felt like he should know her. But his mind is blank.
“Ryuuko. You can call me Ryuuko. And you are Viperion.”
“Okay… weird name for me, but I guess it works.”
Ryuuko realized that the bubble Viperion had been put in wasn’t just to keep him frozen in place. One of the side effects must have been leaving him without any memory of who he was. Had her partner been aware of that risk when he took the bubble for her? She couldn’t know for sure. But right now, she needed to focus on the task at hand. Shehad to take charge since her partner was out of sorts.
“Okay, 'll try to explain this as quickly as possible.”
“Your real name is Luka. But when you are in your hero form, you go by Viperion.”
“Hero form...”
He looked down.
“Well, that does explain the costumes. I thought it was some sort of weird costume party.”
Ryuuko decided to ignore that.
“Okay, so I'm a hero. And you're one too?”
“Yes. We are both heroes picked by Ladybug to help her fight villains. Right now, we're fighting a bunch of them, and you got your memory wiped by one of their attacks. That’s why you are confused. Any questions?”
The boy took a moment to look himself over and then look at her. This was a lot of information to take in. Ryuuko was half expecting him to call her crazy. Which, given how bizarre the circumstances were, she wouldn’t blame him.
“Okay, I think if it was anyone else telling me this, I would have called it a load of bull. But… I don’t know why but I feel like I can trust you. You sound sincere,” Viperion responded.
“Okay great, now let's…”
“I still have a few questions.”
Ryuuko sighs.
“Look, we really don’t have much time. We need to hurry and get out there to help…”
And just before she finished the statement, both of their transformations wore off. Revealing their civilian forms.
“Oh no.” Kagami muttered in horror.
“What happened? Where am I… What am I?” The snake kwami questioned as he looked at himself.
“It appears that Sass was also impacted by the amnesia.” The dragon kwami that popped out of her necklace commented.
Luka stared wide eyed at the creature.
“Are you a snake?”
“A snake? I suppose?”
“A snake with limbs? That is very rock and roll.”
The two fistbumped. Thankfully they seemed to get along.
Longg looked at them.
“This is quite a predicament.”
“We need to hurry back in. Longg! Bring the….”
“Hold on a moment. Both Sass and I will not be able to do that yet.”
Kagami stopped.
“How come?”
“We need to refuel. The energy of transforming AND using our unique powers drains a lot out of us. We need some food to continue.”
“Food… Okay.”
The snake Kwami grabbed his stomach.
“I find myself rather famished,” he commented.
Luka looked at him.
“Let me see if I can help you out.”
The teen took off the backpack he was wearing to go through it. Thankfully there was a bag lunch in there. For some reason he felt that was important. But decided that if it could help the little guy out, he was sure it wouldn’t be a big deal.
He opened the bag lunch and pulled out a bag of apple slices. Opening it to grab a piece.
“I know snakes usually are carnivores, but how about some fruit?”
“Ooo! It smells divine!”
Luka handed the floating kwami a piece of the apple.
He takes a bite.
“Oh! It's delicious! Juicy and sweet!”
The snake quickly devours the apple piece.
As that happens, Kagami looked through her bag.
“I don’t have fruit but I do have some onigiri. It was my afternoon snack… but since this is a dire situation.”
“Rice? Yes please!” Longg exclaimed as he dive bombed right into the delicious rice ball.
“It’s Umeboshi, it’s not to everyone’s taste but It is one of my favorites.”
“It’s the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. The sour plum really brings a new dimension of flavor.”
Kagami smiled a bit at her kwami companion, happy that she could help.
The two Kwami finished their food and were ready for action.
“Okay, Sass. You need to help Luka transform.”
“Sass? Is that my name?” the snake inquired.
“So, he helps me transform into Viperman?”
“Viperion, and yes,” Kagami responded.
“All you need to do is say. Sass, Scales Slither. And to activate your special power just pull your bracelet back and say second chance. Then pull it back when you want to use it. But be sure not to use it right away,” Longg instructed.
“Okay seems easy enough. Are you okay with this?” Luka asked as he turned his attention to his snake pal.
“The floating horn snake seems fine with it so I say let’s give it a try”
Longg decided for the sake of his friendship with Sass to ignore the comment.
“Alright! Let's do this!” Kagami exclaimed as she prepared to transform.
“One last question.”
Kagami was starting to get antsy. She wanted to be back out there fighting. But she held back her annoyance, considering how he sacrificed his memories for her.
“Make it quick, we need to hurry.”
Luka scratches the back of his head.
“Are we a couple?”
If Kagami was drinking water she would have done a massive spit take. Her cheeks turned red.
“What?!”
“You know… together? You seem to know a lot about me, and I just feel this connection... like I can trust you even though I don’t remember anything. I don’t know how or why, but I feel like you matter to me.”
Kagami’s eyes went wide at the comment. It felt surprisingly bold of the musician to say. She had to admit that the statement made her heart skip a beat.
“No, we had just recently become friends.” Kagami responded.
“Oh…” Luka was saddened by the response.
“But, I have thought about the possibility it could be more than that one day," Kagami continued. "But that is something to discuss when you have your memory back. Maybe.”
The fencer felt her mind scream at her.
‘WHY DID YOU SAY THAT! Well, at least he won't remember.’
Luka smiled at that.
“Well, that must mean I must be a good guy, if I could have such a great friend like you.”
The teen prepared himself.
“Alright then! Sass! Scales Slither.”
The musician shifted into his hero form.
“Let’s go save the day.”
Kagami looked at her hero partner and smiled.
“Longg, Bring the storm.

“Well, that might be a problem.”
Chat Noir and Ladybug looked to see a stone giant guarding the front door of the classroom. The two had hidden just out of the goliath’s view.
“Any ideas on how to take down Mount Akuma?” Chat Noir questioned.
Ladybug looked at the giant from their hiding spot and began formulating a plan.
“Stoneheart grows bigger when he gets mad. These akuma aren’t really able to express their emotions. That means we don’t need to worry about him getting bigger. We just need to find a way to incapacitate him.”
“We could ask Mayura,” Chat Noir pointed out.
“We could ask… wait WHA…”
Chat Noir covered his partner’s mouth and ducked down.
“Shhhh! She’s right there,” Chat Noir hushed.
Ladybug removed the cat’s hand from her mouth and looked from the spot to see that her partner was right. Mayura was in the building!
“She actually showed up?” Oh, this is a lot more serious than we thought. Hawkmoth is really playing it serious with this one.”
“To the butterfly man’s credit, he really has been throwing out some tough ones.”
“I will not give our worst villain credit for anything except this headache,” Ladybug retorted with annoyance.
“So, what do we do? Mayura is in the building and she is talking with the giant.”
Ladybug felt like the situation couldn’t get worse.
“Not so fast, Feather Freak!”
Ladybug recognized that voice.
“Chloé?”
Chat Noir and Ladybug glanced to see a familiar blonde strutting down the hallway. But their expressions of shock shifted to bewilderment when they noticed what she was wearing.
“So are you and that purple fashion blunder here? Or is it just you? I am guessing it's just you. Your boss doesn’t really like to show his face unless he thinks he is sure to win. No wonder Ladybug always kicks his…” The bee themed heroine confidently quipped.
“Queen Bee. Now that is a surprise. I thought Ladybug was done giving you a miraculous.” The peacock villainess commented. She had no interest in dealing with the bee heroine at this time.
“Well, you would be surprised by a lot of things. So how about we settle this. My fist really misses your face.”
Mayura rolled her eyes.
“Fortunately for you, I don’t have the time to deal with you. Stoneheart, I am sure Masquerade would love for you to take care of this pesky bee.”
“Oh don’t think you can walk away! You and that purple cockroach are the same. Both cowards that can’t even face children.” She jeered as she walked forward.
The stone giant moved forward, allowing Mayura to walk to the door and enter.
“Too scared to face me! Typical. I'll beat your pet rock as a warm up and then your butt will meet my foot!” Queen Bee exclaimed with confidence. “Because I am a real heroine!”
Queen Bee got into a stance and prepared to trade blows with the colossus of rock.
Chat Noir looked to Ladybug.
“Did you give her a miraculous?” He whispered in surprise.
“I don’t have any additional miraculous. I thought she had been captured with the rest of the class.”
“Wait… if it wasn’t you… you don’t think…”
“Either Master Fu is in the building and saw how dire the situation was or Chloé snuck away and had a Queen Bee costume stowed away in her locker.”
The two look at each other and immediately come to the same conclusion.
“We need to save her before she gets crushed!”
______________________________________________________________________
Mayura walked into the classroom.
She managed to keep a straight face, but internally she had a lot going through her mind.
What was once a standard classroom now looked like an elaborate throne room. The amazing curtains, the high ceilings. The steps leading up to an elaborate throne. The portraits of Masquerade really brought together the utter decadence and vanity of the akuma persona. It reminds Mayura of Gabriel’s obsession with Emilie in the worst way possible.
Despite finding the décor off-putting, she had to admit it was impressive how Masquerade had been able to change the room into something completely unrecognizable. A testament to her vanity.
She took a moment to see what akuma servants she still had in the room. The Gamer, Reflekta with around 12 copies, Princess Fragrance, Robostus, Zombizou and Horificator. While the white masks obscured their expressions, it was clear that all of them were watching her. It greatly unnerved her.
She kept these thoughts to herself as the masked akuma that was running the school took notice of her.
“Mayura. I've been expecting you.”
Mayura looked up to see Masquerade sitting on the throne.
“Please, come in.”
She approached confidently. Though in the back of her mind something seemed off.
Masquerade stood up from the throne and walked down the steps, a smile of certainty on her face.
“Masquerade. Your Sentimonster gave me the basics of your plan. Securing the school as your base of operations was a good first step. Your plan of creating a video to lower the spirits of those in Paris was also a nice touch,” Mayura praised.
“But of course! My plan is flawless,” Masquerade boasted. “Not even Ladybug and Chat Noir will be able to stop me.”
“Getting ahead of yourself aren’t you?” Mayura cut her ego trip.
Masquerade’s mood soured as her smile faltered.
“What do you mean by that?”
“You have yet to face the two heroes. Not to mention there's a pesky bee flying around.”
“A bee?” Masquerade was very confused by the comment.
“Yes, Chloé Bourgeois, or Queen Bee, to be precise. Seems that Ladybug and Chat Noir went and got back up."
“It doesn’t matter if they have one additional hero or three. This plan won't fail.”
‘Something isn’t right here. I need to leave now!’ Mayura’s mind screamed.
She wasn’t sure why, but something felt incredibly off.
“Speaking of heroes, your plan never really specified how you will deal with them. Care to elaborate?”
Masquerade’s smile grew more sinister.
“I am glad you asked. After Simularé relayed to me that you were here. I finally figured out the perfect way of dealing with those arrogant heroes,” the masked woman stated with certainty, moving forward.
She now stood only a few feet from the peacock villainess.
“Wait a moment, something is wrong here,” Mayura commented as she tried to focus. She couldn’t ignore the warnings in her head.
“What do you mean?” The mask akuma looked with confusion at the blue villainess.
Mayura looked around. Frantically trying to find something but it was fruitless. This distress caused Masquerade to smile.
“I can't sense it,” Mayura spoke with slight worry.
“Sense what?” Masquerade inquired further.
“Where is your amok? It should be on your person but I can't sense it.”
“Is that a problem?”
“Yes. If you don’t have the amok in your possession then that sentimonster will go out of control!” Mayura explained.
“Can’t you just rip the amok out?”
“If it's nearby and I sense it, yes. But I can’t do that if it’s out of my range.”
“So you’re saying you have no power over me right now.” A devilish grin appeared on Masquerade’s face.
“No, I am saying I don’t have any power over the senti…”
Mayura felt a chill as she realized that the masquerade in front of her was not an akumatized Lila.
“Horrificator, block the door,” the Faux Masquerade commanded.
The pink and purple monster quickly moved to block the door with her large form.
The controlled akuma started circling around her as Simularé undid the illusion and morphed into its true specter form, Simularé.
“You ungrateful little monster. You think your master will be okay with you attacking one of the ones that gave her power?”
“My master doesn’t care about you or Hawkmoth. You are a means to an end. And she gave me special permission to take your miraculous from you.”
“Well if your master isn’t here, then no one is jamming the signal. I can contact Hawkmoth and put this little coup to an end.”
Simularé shifted into Lady Wifi.
“I have access to every power my master does. You are trapped with no options.” The sentimonster mocked.
Mayura looked around as she was circled by the controlled akuma. She needed to get out of there.
She felt a pain rush to her head.
‘F*** not now’ She mentally cursed.
The odds were indeed not in her favor.
______________________________________________________________________________
Stoneheart began charging at the bee themed heroine, and just as Queen Bee was about to move, a yo-yo wrapped around her waist and pulled her away from the monster.
The stone giant had expected his charge to make contact but forced himself to stop when he noticed the bee was gone.
“Sorry tiny, but I’m your playmate now,” called a cat-themed hero.
The mindless akuma didn’t visibly react to the change in foe and simply charged at the cat hero.
Queen Bee found herself near Ladybug.
“Chloé! What are you doing?!”
“Uh… Saving the day? I got the jewelry box that you sent out because you needed my help.”
“Jewelry box… wait a minute that means. You are wearing a miraculous.”
“Yep! Don’t worry LB, I will show you that I am worthy of being Queen Bee. And not to boast, but I totally saved someone. But right now, we gotta go beat that ugly pile of rubble.”
Ladybug looked at Chloé for a moment. With the situation as hectic as it was, Queen Bee has shown some competence when there is real danger. Ladybug knew that right now, all hands that could help would be appreciated, and Queen Bee’s appearance could mean that Fu may be closer than she expected. So maybe there were more reinforcements. So if this was the case. She would trust Fu’s judgement.
“Alright, just be ready to return the bee after all of this is over.”
“Right, right, but just know I will probably change your mind about that after this is over!” the bee exclaimed confidently as she jumped back into the fray.
Ladybug shook her head. Whether she was Queen Bee or Chloé, she was still a handful.
“Are you finished gossiping? Because I could REALLY use a hand!” Chat Noir shouted as he held his staff up to hold back the rock monster’s boulder of a fist.
Queen Bee and Ladybug jumped into view and noticed the situation.
“Don’t worry you stray cat, The Queen Bee will put that rock in his place. Ve…”
Ladybug covered Queen Bee’s mouth before she could.
“Hold it. We might need your power for later.”
“I think it would be useful now!” Chat Noir shouted as he struggled to hold the weight of the giant’s rocky hand.
“Okay if my powers are a no no right now, what is the plan?”
Ladybug looked around. She found her attention drawn to a fire extinguisher, Queen Bee, a rubber band, and a discarded backpack.
“Okay, I have a plan.”

Gabriel had made a decision.
He hurried out of the lair in his civilian form. He was going to head to the school. Now he would just need to get his chauffeur and go…
Gabriel’s eyes went wide as he saw his son’s bodyguard and chauffeur fall to the floor at the steps of the main entrance, a white mask adorning his face that he was desperately trying to get off.
“What is the meaning of this?” Gabriel asked aloud in shock and anger.
He looked to see the mask akuma he created standing at the door.
“Well, if it isn’t Gabriel Agreste. Fashion mogul, and master manipulator.”
Gabriel’s visible anger faded as he stared at the akuma.
“Lila, is that you?”
“Oh quite astute! An amazing deduction. Was it that observational skill that made you the fashion success you are now?” the akumatized Lila inquired. “Though I go by Masquerade now.”
Gabriel knew very well the girl’s powers. He was the one that gave it to her. She was trying to antagonize him, get him angry. But that would not work.
“Well Masquerade, what brings you to my home at this time?” Gabriel asked calmly. Doing his best to keep his tone and mannerisms calm.
“Oh, I was just in the neighborhood, finding more people to join my little army and I notice my charm glowing as I was getting near.”
Gabriel’s eyes went wide as he realized something. The charm bracelet was configured to locate anyone that has ever been akumatized. That included him. His ploy to ward suspicion off of himself was now biting him in the butt. And of course, Lila was likely holding a grudge with how he pushed her with his words about his son and his classmate.
“My bodyguard was akumatized. What of it?”
The silent action figure enthusiast stopped resisting and his body began growing. Gabriel noticed the man was transforming into the gorilla akuma. Gorizilla! And he rushed up the steps as the akuma moved and pounded his chest.
“Gorizilla, go gather up anyone who has been akumatized that you know of. I will handle Mr. Agreste myself.”
The giant akuma nodded at its master and headed off, leaving the agreste mansion with a giant hole that was once the front of the mansion.
“Handle me? And what do you plan to do?”
Masquerade’s necklace began to glow.
“Oh! Well that is very interesting,” Masquerade mused aloud as she learned from the glowing charm.
“What do you mean, interesting?” Gabriel asked. He knew that the charm had the bonus effect of pointing out the emotional weak points of those that had been akumatized. But he had PRETENDED to be angry and wasn’t actually emotional when the akuma took over. Did the charm still impact him the same way it did everyone else?
Masquerade started walking up the steps.
“You blame yourself for your wife’s passing.”
The statement was a blade pointed right at his throat. But Gabriel refused to react. He would not let himself be taken advantage of by his own akuma. He has been on the receiving end one too many times and he would be damned if he let that psychopath have control of him.
Masquerade saw that Gabriel was not reacting to the statement.
“I have never seen a man more miserable and pathetic,” Masquerade said. Her words sounded genuine and cutting.
Gabriel tried to turn around and walk away. But Masquerade jumped high with her superhuman agility and landed right in front of him, continuing her tearing down of his emotional state.
“All of this wealth and yet you are obsessed with what you don’t have. You are so blinded by the grief of losing your wife that everything else in your life may as well not exist. You locked yourself away, desperately trying to find something, anything that would bring her back. But now you are finding that color is starting to return in your life. You feel guilt over hiding the truth from your son, you loathe the attraction that you have been developing for another woman. You hate that you can’t dedicate every second to your lost wife and any speck of joy you feel without her here feels like treason since she is not here with you. You are a man so blind with his obsession that you fail to see the world doesn’t revolve around you. It's disgusting.”
“You know nothing of my life,” Gabriel dismissed.
But Masquerade knew he would say that. She only smiled. The truth was right in front of her. And she was ready to bring it home.
“You are actually terrified of facing her again.”
That shook Gabriel.
“What?”
“You are afraid of seeing her again. Whether it’s a year or 10 years, you feel that even if you could bring her back, she would be here and realize how much of a shell you had become without her. You are afraid that your obsession with her will be the very thing that drives her away once you see her again.”
“That isn’t true.”
“Then why haven’t you brought her back yet? Don’t you love her?”
Gabriel felt like his heart was being repeatedly punched.
“How dare you question my love for my wife!”
“Then why isn’t she here? If you loved her she wouldn’t have been taken from you and Adrien. But you were far too pathetic to do it. You failed her, and you are still failing her. You will never be with her again, and deep down. You know it to be true,” Masquerade answered coldly.
Those words were enough to get him down. That is what finally did him in.
Gabriel fell to his knees.
“No…”
Gabriel had broken. Masquerade knew she had him.
He was emotionally devastated, to the point where couldn’t even react to the mask coming his way.

❝𝐢𝐟 𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝❞ ─ 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐢 𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧
i don't want your sympathy, i guess ive had it rough but you don't really care
❥ content ; gn reader, eventual fluff, angst, pining, happy ending
❥ warnings ; injury, swearing, mentions of death
❥ synopsis ; when you get badly injured during a mission, only then does levi realize the depths of his feelings for you. now the question is, is it too late?
❥ a/n ; i don't have a taglist yet so feel free to ask to get added!
You glided through the trees alongside your team, adrenaline running through your veins.
Kicking yourself off a tree, you landed your body with ease onto a lone Titan spotted in the forest below you. With a swift swing of the blade, the Titan was on the ground.
Finished, you zipped yourself back into the air, joining your team member's formation as you all flew together.
"Y/N!" Captain Levi shouted, resent dripping off of his words. Here we go again. "Do not deviate from original course! We are here to scout, not to thrill seek."
The team came to a slow. They stood on the branches, overlooking the land beneath them.
"I was not thrill seeking, sir, I was doing my job," you defended, turning to Captain Levi. Though he was shorter than you were, his cold stare and unwavering demeanor intimidated you.
"Your job is to follow my orders, brat, not go off wandering like an idiot!"
"I didn't wander, I was quick to regroup! You're just finding a reason to take your anger out on me," you retorted. "Then again, I wouldn't be surprised. Considering your height, it's no wonder you can barely contain your anger in such a small body."
As much as he wanted to push you off the tree, Levi kept his poise.
By now the team could hear you and Levi's bickering, but considering they were used to it, they decided to butt out and focus on planning the route.
"Stable duty when we get back."
And then he walked away, leaving you fuming.
As you continued with the scouting mission, you encountered too many Titans that you couldn't just brush them off. Angry and left with no choice, Levi shouted orders to forget the original plan and fight back.
Out of the corner of your eye, you spotted two Titans approaching Jean and Armin with intent. You narrowed your eyes. This was your chance. You bolted off the tree, flying fast towards the two Titans. You got your gear out, ready to slice their napes, when one of the Titans looked your way, a sick smile on its face.
"Y/N!" Armin called out in a panic as the Titan extended its arm, swiping at you like a fly. Before its hand could collide with you, you were pushed out of the way by none other than Levi.
He wrapped his arms around you securely, one underneath your bottom and his other around your back. You heard him whisper a profanity, his hot breath fanning your neck as he spoke. Though it wasn't the time or the place, you couldn't help but let your mind wander.
You were brought back to reality when Levi glided deeper into the forest, setting you down onto the ground harsher than necessary.
Totally caught off guard, your back was shoved against a tree. Levi was quick to block your exits, predicting you would try to resist.
His arms caged you between him and the tree, leaving little to no distance between your bodies. You could feel your face get hot, either out of embarrassment or his body heat mixing with yours.
"What the hell is wrong with you, brat?!" Yelled Levi, eyes wild with rage. However, something felt different about this compared to when he scolded you for separating from the group. But you couldn't quite put your finger on it.
"Me?" You scoffed. "You're the crazy psycho who stole me away and cornered me in this forest!" You pushed at his chest, successfully shoving him off of you. "I had everything under control."
"You were almost killed! I can't have reckless people on my team. I'm a captain, not a babysitter, so get your shit together or get the hell off my team."
You stood against the tree quietly, Levi's venomous words stunning you into silence. Levi continued to stare deep into your eyes, his expression never changing. However, as the seconds passed, you saw a sliver of regret in his eyes, lasting only for a mere second.
You took a deep breath, trying to choose your words carefully. "I- Just.. Why do you hate me so much?"
Levi raised a brow while you continued to speak.
"I know I'm not the best fighter. Not compared to Misaka or Eren. But what did I do to deserve so much hatred from you? Even when I'm not doing anything wrong, you look at me like I'm the most disgusting person you've seen."
Despite feeling a sting of guilt at your words, Levi put on a dismissive act. "Tch, you're being dramatic. I'm not about to discuss this with you."
Why the fuck did he say that?
"Maybe if you listened to me for two damn seconds you wouldn't get such an earful."
Why is he being such an asshole? Gods, just tell them already. Stop this bullshit.
No longer finding it in you to care, you began to raise your voice, angry tears spilling down your face. "I try my best to make you like me. I try to show you that I'm capable and strong, but you still treat me as if I'm inferior. Like my skills are nothing. Like I'm nothing."
Emotionless, Levi replied, "Because you are. Look at you. You're a crybaby. You should've stayed back." Lies. All lies.
"Ugh- well maybe you should've just let me get killed since you despise me so much!"
With that, you grab your gear and zip away as far from Levi as possible, tears blowing out of your face and into the wind.
"Hey, where are you going?!"
You ignored him as you continued to speed through the trees, searching for your team. Your friends. Anybody.
"Y/N! Look out!"
You heard Eren shout, making you spin around frantically to search for the danger.
There it was.
An Abnormal ran your way, crawling like a dog on its hands and feet.
It had been chasing the team for a while now, evident in its animalistic, hungry look.
Steadily hanging off a branch, you watch the Titan from afar, then look back at the team.
"I'll distract it! You guys go!"
They looked at you as if you had grown two extra heads.
"You'll die!" Mikasa argued. "We can take it!"
"Just go!"
The Titan started to get closer. The team looked behind you, then back at you. Though they looked ready and determined to take it down, you knew they felt as terrified as you were. Fighting Titans was just something you don't think you'll ever get used to.
"Please be careful. We're gonna find Captain Levi!"
You nodded, then turned around, watching as the Titan ran towards you, totally disregarding the rest of the team.
"You want me? Come get me."
When you decided it was close enough, you darted into the forest and soared through the trees, only narrowly missing them. The Abnormal followed you, but hit itself on the trees and destroyed many in the process.
While the Abnormal continued to run through the forest, leaves and trees blocking its direct vision of you, you took a chance and turned back, flying past the Abnormal.
You did a quick u-turn and hopped onto its back.
You got it now.
As it chased after nothing, completely unaware, you slashed the nape of its neck.
With you still on its back, the Titan went limp mid-jump, falling onto the ground hard enough to create an earthquake. Unprepared for the collision, you went flying off its body.
Instead of bracing yourself for the fall, you frantically reached for your gear in an attempt to glide back up to the trees.
Before you got the chance, your body met with the ground, a loud thud echoing from the impact.
In the distance, the rest of the team continued to fight until they got to the very last Titan. Levi, though he was the last to regroup, helped effectively take down the Titans.
It wasn't evident in his stoic expression, but he searched among his surroundings and the faces of his team for you, afraid the worst had happened. Dammit, why did he have to be such an asshole? What Levi said to you, he meant none of it. But he feared he wouldn't get the chance to tell you that. Idiot.
"Is everybody here?!" Levi shouted as his team gathered around him.
"Yeah, we're alive-"
"Wait, where's Y/N?"
The team began to search among themselves, now becoming anxious as well.
"Well, where are they? Did you not see them at all?" Levi asked in a calm tone, despite his heart beat pounding in his ears. No. He wasn't going to slip up. Not here, not now. He needed to remain strong.
Mikasa spoke up. "We last saw them when we were being chased by an Abnormal! They offered to distract it and take care of it themselves."
Levi shouted, a crack in his voice, "And you let them?!"
"Y/N is strong! One of the best fighters we have here," Eld said. "They've probably already taken it down by now."
"Then where are they?!" Levi growled, becoming more frustrated by the second.
"Hey, look!" Armin yelled, shaking his finger towards the steam in the distance. "Eld was right! Y/N did kill it after all!"
Wasting no more time, Levi commanded the team to follow him. Soon again, they were up in the trees, running your direction. They stopped as soon as they came across a clearing in the forest where the Abnormal laid lifelessly.
"Everyone! Find Y/N!"
The team split, searching the area for any sign of you.
Levi dreaded the thought of finding you like they found the Titan. No. You killed it. You had to be alive.
Levi repeated that in his head. You had to be alive.
Because if you weren't, he wouldn't know what he would do.
Your eyes shot open at the sound of panicked screams echoing around you. You pushed yourself off of the ground in a rush, only to stumble back with an agonizing scream, pain shooting up the lower half of your body.
"Fucking hell! Oh shit," you fell back on the grass defeatedly, hot tears welling in your eyes at the intense pain and aches across your whole body. "Dammit!"
You didn't know which bones were broken, where you were, if you were bleeding out. So you just laid there alone, helpless and numb. Waiting.
Just when the team was beginning to lose hope, a blood curdling scream echoed throughout the forest, easily catching the team's attention. They headed towards the source of the sound, but Levi was the first on it, already sprinting through the forest to find you.
When he did, he felt his heart drop down to his stomach. You laid in a small clearing behind some old trees and bushes, a puddle of blood beneath your body. Your uniform was torn and your 3DMG was rendered useless at this point. If not for the scream, or the fast rise and fall of your chest, he would've mistaken you for being dead.
Levi rushed to your side and got onto his knees, lifting up your body into his arms.
"Y/N? Can you hear me? Y/N?"
You coughed, wheezing and struggling to make a coherent sound. Blood dripped down the corner of your mouth as you spoke, "You were right, Captain. I never stood a chance, did I?Shoulda just stayed." You laughed pitifully.
Now Levi was angry, but not at you. "Shut up! Don't say stupid shit like that! You're going to be okay."
The team found you, stopping short at the sight of Levi holding you carefully, like a porcelain doll, ready to break.
He didn't care anymore. He didn't bother to put up a front. Not when you were like this, half dead in his arms. He pressed his forehead to yours, whispering in your ear so only you could hear.
"I can't lose you too.."
Everyone else only continued to watch the intimate scene unfold before them.
When you fell unconcious, Levi squeezed his eyes shut, trying his best to keep his composure. Why was he acting like this? Usually he would be quick to solve problems without letting his feelings get in the way. Why was he so helpless now?
He turned around, scowling at the group who just stood by idly.
"Get over here and help them, you fools!"
You hated it. You hated having to be looked after or saved like a princess in a children's storybook. You didn't want to run away anymore, or simply stand in waiting, hoping for someone to rescue you. You were done being hunted. So you joined the Scouts after years of hard work and training. If you had only thought more carefully or put your parent's advice in consideration, you wouldn't be in your current situation, regretting ever joining Levi's team. You wouldn't have ended up in the infirmary.
You passed out in Levi's arms after suffering from injuries during your fight with the Abnormal Titan, according to your friends. They came by to visit you when the medic alerted them that you had woken up from your coma.
"How long was I out for?" You winced as you massaged your still pounding head. "When did I even get here?"
"You've been unconcious for two days. We retreated to the city as Captain Levi instructed and you've been under their care since," Eren answered. He noticed your demeanor as you looked around the room and picked at your skin, a nervous habit you recently formed. "Everybody's alive, so don't you worry."
"Where are they?"
"Well, they did have to receive medical attention since they got hurt, but they're okay! They miss you, ya know?" Armin said excitedly. "We'll make sure to fill you in on everything when you're out of here."
You pursed your lips. "Speaking of which, when will I be discharged?"
"You can't exactly walk right now, but.. you should be up and ready to go within a week! Then we can go on another mission and-"
"Eren. Armin. Mikasa." Your attention was torn away from Eren, your eyes darting towards the source of the voice.
"Captain Levi!" They all exclaimed in unison.
"I would like to speak with Y/N in private." He glanced at trio, his eyes narrowing. "Out."
The three walked out, heads bowed like sad little puppies. You waved at them as they went before turning to Levi who now stood by your bed.
"What do you want?" You asked bitterly, nose scrunching up in a sneer.
"Commander Erwin informed me of your decision," he spoke softly, differing from his usual cold tone.
You huffed. "Yeah, took your advice and resigned. You won't have to worry about babysitting me anymore."
A pang of guilt shot through Levi's heart, causing him to flinch. He hoped you didn't catch that.
He remembered his own regretful words as it replayed in his head. Just like your cries and pained expression, which he was unable to simply brush off, he couldn't forget how he mistreated you. And he would never forgive himself, either. The sight of your injured body laying there, all alone. He couldn't shake the scene off his mind, no matter how hard he tried. Even in his dreams.
Evident in his eyebags that seemed to have darkened in shade, he wasn't able to get much sleep the past couple days because of it.
"I take it you hate me, then," Levi suggested, prompting you to laugh mockingly.
"Oh, no, I could never," you said, sarcasm dripping off your voice as you fake fawned over Levi. "Levi Ackerman, Humanity's Strongest.. I just adore you."
Levi hid his offended expression and ignored your antics as he continued. "I was afraid I couldn't get the chance to apologize to you. When I found you there, I.." He squeezed his eyes shut and furrowed his brows together, forcing his tears not to fall. Why now?
"Yeah, well, you fucked up. About time you feel a little heartache," you mumbled, looking around the room, anywhere but Levi.
"A little?! Look, I'm trying to apologize here!" He shouted. "Do you have no idea how fucking terrified I've been for you, you brat?!"
"No, Captain Levi, so why don't you enlighten me on how much you care?!" You huffed, crossing your arms. "Because if you did, then maybe I wouldn't be bed ridden!"
Levi's face softened at the sight of a single tear escaping your eye. He took a seat on the bed beside you and reached out to brush away your tear.
With your quick reflexes, you caught his hand and pushed it back towards him.
"Don't you dare touch me. You've done enough damage, Levi. Just go and stop wasting my time."
Just like you, he was stubborn. He stood his ground.
"I-I'm sorry."
You let out an exasperated sigh. "You must think I'm stupid. No way I'm buying that bullshit."
"You need to stop pushing me away, Y/N!"
"What is that, an order?" You taunted. "You don't get to be sorry, Levi. It's too late for that. You waited for me to almost die just to tell me that? Is that what it takes? What if I hadn't survived? What then?"
"You don't think I haven't thought about that?! That's why I'm here!"
"Yeah, and who's fault is that?"
"You should've listened to me! I was trying to protect you!"
"Well thanks a lot. Now both my kneecaps are broken and I won't be able to walk for weeks!" You shake your head. "You think just because we shared a moment while I was dying that I'm okay now? Trust me, if I had the strength, I would have slapped you then and there."
"Then why don't you now?"
"At this point, you're not even worth getting angry over. So stop giving me that pitiful look. I really prefer you shouting at me instead. At least I'm used to it." You mumble the last part, but Levi catches it easily.
"That's it then, you leave me no choice." You look at Levi curiously. "You infuriate me, brat, you really do. You're so careless and oblivious all the time, you forget to look after yourself. And I'm not ready to watch you throw away your life so irrationally from the sidelines."
"So what are you trying to tell me, Levi?"
"Tch, you're just gonna make me say it, aren't you?" He takes a deep breath. "I'm not good at this, and I hate to admit it, to you of all people. It makes me mad to see you risk your life because I care about you.. and I can't lose you. I've dealt with too much death. I'll do whatever it takes to keep you alive, even if it means dying.." Levi trails off, then scoffs and crosses his arms like a petty little child. "I said it, all right? I like you-- A lot, you stupid brat!"
You searched Levi's eyes for any trace of dishonesty. You hoped he was lying, like he had some sort of script prepared before he came to see you. But you found no lies in his eyes.
You felt your heart break. All this time when you thought Levi just really hated you, he was looking out for you.
"I.. Why didn't you just tell me?" Your voice fell apart as you spoke. "I tried so hard to make you like me back.. And it hurt because I thought you just hated my guts. I had no idea."
"I know, I was being stupid too- It shouldn't have come to this," Levi admitted. "I.. I'll let you rest now."
Levi stood up to leave, but you were quick to pull him back onto the bed with you. Without letting him react, you grabbed his face and interlocked your lips with his. All the tension in his body disappeared and he melted into the kiss, throwing his arms around you tightly like he'd lose you if he ever let go. It wasn't a soft, romantic, movie perfect kiss. It was desperate, tongue and teeth, hands wandering, disheveling the other's hair. You released all of your built up anger and resent, letting it fuel you while you aggresively fought your tongue with his, a faint taste a hint of alcohol now on your own mouth. Occasionally you'd both break the kiss for short intakes of breath and small whispers like 'don't scare me like that again' and 'I've needed this for a while now'. You couldn't help but moan, earning a grin from Levi as he continued to hungrily devour your lips. Just as things escalated, you remembered you were still in the infirmary, and anyone could walk in any minute now. You slowly pulled away, your chest heaving as you panted for breath.
Levi couldn't help but twist his lips up into a little smirk. That was new.
"Well at least you're not a bad first kisser," he spoke nonchalantly, still gasping for air. You playfully punched him in the chest.
"Quite the romantic, aren't you?" You rolled your eyes but couldn't stop yourself from smiling like an idiot. "You're not bad either, old man."
Blush spread across his cheeks.
He took your hand in his, bringing it to his swollen and raw lips and placed a small kiss on your knuckles.
"Promise me you won't leave me again?"
"Promise," you sighed blissfully. "And I guess I'll have to tell Commander Erwin about my change of plans."
"Actually," a deep voice spoke. At the door, there stood none other than Commander Erwin. "I think I already know."

Someone you loved
Kaz Brekker x reader
Mr. Sandman Part 2
Inspired by the song "Someone you loved" by Lewis Capaldi
I'm going under and this time I fear there's no one to save me
This all or nothing really got a way of driving me crazy
Kaz's mind was a raging storm, an ever-shifting landscape. His heart was madly racing and he feared that if it didn't stop soon, it'll burst out of his chest.
Two days had gone by and yet there was no information about Y/N's whereabouts. No one had made an effort to contact him asking for money in exchange for her safety, no blackmail, nothing. Kaz knew the probability of Y/N being alive was shrinking as the days passed.
Kaz felt terrible, guilt crushed his heart in a vicious grip. If he hadn't kicked her out, if he had taken back his words, if he had just... No, thinking about what ifs wouldn't bring Y/N back home. If she's still alive a cruel voice whispered in the back of his mind.
His mind drifted to his darkest memories, horrible images plagued his mind. Rotting flesh beneath his fingers, icy hands grabbing at him, threatening to pull him under the waves. Water filled his lungs, consuming his oxygen and living him in the dark. His head broke the water, gasping for air, Kaz looked around, trying to find something, anything to grab to avoid drowning. Only that now instead of his brother's corpse, he saw Y/N's limp body floating above the water.
Kaz fell to his knees, the pain brought him back to reality. He was trembling, sharp gasps left his body, black dots covered his vision. Y/N would have told him to focus on reality, take in the details, count every little object he could find in the room. But Y/N wasn't here, and it was all his fault.
___________
I need somebody to heal, somebody to know
Somebody to have, somebody to hold
Y/N talked passionately about her latest read, making wild gestures with her hands as if to prove a point. Jesper's arm was slung across her shoulder, head thrown back in a laughing fit. When his cackles died down, Jesper leaned his head on Y/N's shoulder and started mocking her for being able to remember the exact place where phrases were in the book.
Kaz watched silently from his seat in the Crow Club, he knew those touches were purely friendly gestures, and still he couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy.
On many sleepless nights, Kaz thoughts had wandered down a treacherous path, always finding their way to Y/N. His mind had been invaded by images of her: the smile she always wore when she was about to make a witty comment, the way she pursed her lips whenever he asked her to memorize an important document, the furrow of her brows when paying close attention to Kaz's plans.
He snapped out of it, angry at himself for thinking about her, he couldn't afford those thoughts. Kaz's life was dangerous and he had many enemies who wouldn't hesitate to use anything or anyone against him. If he left himself feel, if he let her in, he knew there was nothing he wouldn't do for her.
He had tried. He had tried to distance himself, push her away until his feelings dissipated to nothing. However, every time Y/N appeared in his office late at night just to talk about her day, every time she called his name, every time she sent a glorious smile his way, Kaz couldn't bring himself to say no.
And now, looking at Y/N from across the room, a sense of longing clouded his vision. Thoughts of sitting next to her, no space between their bodies, with no fear of touching reminded him of how miserably he had failed.
____________
It's easy to say, but it's never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you numbed all the pain
Since Y/N's kidnapping, Kaz had gone completely feral. He had looked for anyone who could provide information. He had kidnapped, tortured, and even killed members of any other gangs he had his suspicions on. He was unstoppable, he wouldn't rest until his Y/N was safe. She isn't even yours because you kicked her out a scornful voice reminded him.
Kaz's whole body hurt, his limp was more prominent than usual, his knuckles were bloodied and a purplish bruise contrasted against his pale skin from a blow he had taken when he was beating the life out of one of the Dime Lion's informants.
How he wished Y/N was there. No matter how many times he came back to the Slat, covered in blood and clutching at his wounds, Y/N's gaze always turned into one of horrified worry.
Y/N had always healed his wounds after a mission, wiping the blood away very carefully in order not to touch his skin. Even when he wasn't bleeding and it was just his leg giving him a bad day or a headache that refused to leave him, Y/N always brought him medicine or tea depending on the situation.
But Y/N was gone and he might not ever see her again. His thoughts lurched him back to the ocean, dead things suffocated him. He clutched his cane tighter, he couldn't have a panic attack now, he needed to find Y/N.
_______
Now the day bleeds into nightfall
And you're not here to get me through it all
The night wrapped the dirty streets of Ketterdam in its wicked hold, the moon loomed ahead casting a palish glow through Kaz's window. Another day had passed and he was no closer to finding Y/N.
He was alone in his office, clutching his cane tighter by the second, its sharp edges bruising his skin, and yet, the pain wasn't enough to keep the waters from rising, Y/N's form surrounded by corpses.
No, he couldn't think of her this way. He had to remain positive, he needed to hope Y/N was still alive somewhere, but for someone like Kaz, remaining positive wasn't something he strived on. Instead, Kaz looked inside his brain, searching for a memory of Y/N to avoid passing out and when he found it, he seized it and hung to it for dear life.
Kaz had heard people say love arrived at the most unexpected times, bloomed in the most unlikely places. People said love wasn't something you chose, something you could control, not a concept you could welcome or shut out of your life at your convenience.
Kaz deemed those people foolish, weak for not being able to control themselves, and as the cold mastermind he was, Kaz brushed off all of their comments. And he would have kept thinking that way if it hadn't been for Y/N during a warm summer evening.
The Crow Club was surprisingly empty, everyone was in a relaxed state, currently resting after a successful heist. Kaz had been working in his office, signing contracts when a soft knock sounded against his door, Y/N peered inside and after receiving Kaz's consent, stepped through the threshold.
Y/N sat in front of his desk, a small smile playing on her face, ensued by a moment of silence, Y/N started talking. Kaz's head perked up at the sound of her voice, eyes leaving the papers to direct his whole attention to her but he had been completely caught off guard by the sight before him.
Y/N's mouth was moving but Kaz's couldn't hear a thing, it was as if someone had stolen the sound so he could only focus on Y/N's heavenly form.
Y/N's hair was slightly disheveled, gusts of wind occasionally brushing lonely strands into different directions, soft locks swishing in compass with a nonexistent melody. Sunset rays filtered through the window, lighting up Y/N's features. Sunlight beams fell gently down the slope of her nose, gently caressed her long lashes, and kissed her tender lips giving them a reddish hue.
At that moment, Kaz realized how dreadfully unjust the world was. How come was the wind able to run his breezy fingers across her beautiful hair? How could the rain brush her skin lovingly without repelling at the idea of skin contact? Why could the Sun kiss her graceful lips and he couldn't?
Kaz wanted to hold her, reach for her whenever he wanted without fear of drowning. He wanted to hug her and nuzzle his nose in her hair affectionately. He wanted to know what her skin felt like under his fingertips. Kaz wanted to know the taste of her lips.
Because he was in love with her.
________
I let my guard down and then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved
Y/N laid immobile in his bed, her skin almost as pale as his sheets, soft breaths escaped her lungs. Kaz sat in a chair near her fragile body, his frown deepened every time his eyes landed on a different wound.
Kaz felt like in a déjà vu, a vision that had happened exactly three weeks ago. This was the reason why Kaz had pushed her, why he had evicted her from the Slat, the one home she had ever known. But did it matter? All his efforts to keep her safe had been in vain.
That fateful night, when she had been the distraction in a supposed easy heist, everything had come tumbling down. The nightmares had started back then, where he first saw her all bloodied and beaten and unconscious. They didn't know if she would ever wake up. Kaz had refused to visit her, images of his nine-year-old self seeing her amongst the corpses in the Reaper's Barge haunted his days.
When she had woken up he'd wanted to see her, but he couldn't bring himself to because he knew what he had to do. Kaz couldn't bear the thought of her dying, he couldn't imagine her gone, but if he gave her hope, if she saw how much he cared, she would refuse to leave. He needed her to stay away for her safety
So he had done that, he had ruthlessly yanked his heart out of his chest when he had kicked her out. The words he had said to her tortured him since that day: "Do not think that just because I have kept you around for this long you're irreplaceable." And when he thought he couldn't feel more pain, Y/N had started crying. Silent droplets fell down her cheeks and Kaz felt as if the most savage assassin had ripped his heart into shreds.
I let my guard down and then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved
Seating there, silently watching Y/N's closed eyes, he was experiencing it all again. When they had found her she had been tied to a chair, unmoving, in one of the Dime Lion's warehouses. He swore his heart had stopped beating, she couldn't be dead, when Nina had checked for her heartbeat and announced it was still there, Kaz's heart reanimated.
Nina had done her best to heal her and now the only thing there was to do was wait until she woke up. This time Kaz had refused to leave her bedside. This time he would do things differently.
He had been a coward, he now realized. He should have never let her go. He should have been braver, stronger, he should have protected her. Now he realized he wanted, no, needed her with him. He had been too scared worrying for the future that he had forgotten to enjoy the present. He wouldn't make that mistake again.
"Kaz?"
His head shot back to Y/N. She was awake, she was alive and he would never let her go.
And with such a fervent emotion, he couldn't have thought himself capable of expressing, he said "Please, don't ever leave me again. "

The General (Part 7): Geto Suguru x Fem!Reader
synopsis: the General makes you train, you wonder what you’ve gotten yourself into, and plans are revealed.
wc: 2K
tw: none
a/n: Thank you for being patient, sunshines! 7.5 will be out tonight as a huge thank you to all of my followers and anons who are reading. You all are just amazing.
masterlist
“Take a break!” The heavy rake is tossed to the ground, and you struggle for air, panting and coughing. Torturing you with the rake-swinging seemed to be Geto’s objective today, and it’s taking the life out of your body.
As you rest on your back - facing the sky - there’s a massive gust of air above you, and you tilt your head back to see a tiny, raven haired boy standing above you. He’s fanning you eagerly, face scrunched up in frown as he exerts all of his energy on the fan. Your first reaction is to stare at the child in fascination; the next is to laugh.
“Junpei…” you chuckle, and the child stops, letting the fan drift to his side. “You’re too sweet.” He nods once, huffing out a short breath, then starts fanning you again, making your hair blow back behind your ears.
“Giving Lady y/n a nice breeze, Junpei?” Geto asks, walking towards you two with the rake in his hand.
“Yes, Master Geto,” Junpei affirms, scrunching his face up even more as he increases the force of his fanning. Geto leans on the rake and watches the scene with a small smile on his face, and you allow Junpei to continue his task for a moment longer before standing. You grin at the child, placing a hand on his head as you murmur:
“Thank you, sweet one.” His hair bobs as he bows to you, then to Geto, and dashes off into the camp once more. You watch the child run off, his hair flying in the stale air of the mid-day.
“You have quite a few admirers, I see,” Geto begins, and you shake your head. “First, little Itadori, now Junpei… who’s next, I wonder?”
“I would like to wager a certain General would be next in line to try and win my hand,” you reply; Geto straightens up immediately and walks closer to you, a lazy grin painted on his face.
“Well, it seems that General might have quite a difficult time getting past your growing line of suitors.” You both chuckle, and Geto tilts up your chin with a forefinger. You’re prepared to kiss him - well, that is until he stops and says:
“Only six more sets of ten swings to go.”
_______________________________________________________________________
You can barely bring your spoon to your lips during lunch.
“My Lady, do you require assistance?”
You shake your head no, but your arms are screaming please help us.
It was one thing to have to swing until the sun went down. It’s an entirely different thing to not only swing seventy times but also run laps around the field like a soldier in training. You felt exhausted by the third lap, but Geto encouraged you to run more; his hands on his knees as he watched you turn into a floundering fish on land.
The other women surely watched you train with a curious eye. No one dares to ask why you allow Geto to reduce you to mush in full view of the camp, even though they know why you let him do it.
Because he turns you to mush when they’re not watching, as well.
“Master Geto?” Kaori shouts, standing from her seated position on the tarp laid out in the grass.
“No, don’t!” you cry out, but she’s already trudging down the field, leaving you behind as she calls Geto’s name over and over again. You curse softly, sitting down your soup with agonizing slowness and try to stand from where you’re sitting, but your legs will not move an inch.
“She can barely move; how do you expect her to eat lunch and remain healthy if you render her arms useless? Then you walk off, leaving her to her own devices! You don’t pay me enough to feed her like you do during dinner.” Kaori is stomping back up to you, followed closely by Geto, who is shrugging on his haori and appears to be rather alarmed. “You should take better care of your captives, Master Geto. Look at her!”
You try your best to look as painless as possible, but the facade is broken when Geto extends a hand out and you grimace as you try to reach your own hand out. His face falls instantly and without speaking, he hoists you up into his arms. “Kaori, bring her soup, please. I’ll feed her myself.” Your head rests against his broad chest limply, and the way that his heart beats wildly against your ears oddly soothes you. You’re in pain, yes, but you’re not completely immune to the way he makes your heart stutter and trip over itself when he’s near you. And you’ve never been as near to him as you are now.
“When you are in pain, you need to say something,” Geto chastises as he lays you in the bed, folding a fur up before resting you against it and sitting beside you. “Kaori made it sound like you were dying.”
“I wasn’t dying,” you retort. “I tried to prevent her from saying anything.”
“So, you thought I wouldn’t find out later?” When the head maid deposits the soup bowl into Geto’s hands, he looks up at you and raises a brow.
“No, I--”
“Open.” A spoonful of clear onion soup is presented to you, and you obey, knowing your argument is completely lost already. “It’s my duty to make sure you’re taken care of while you’re here,” he continues, offering another spoonful. “You should let me know when you’re struggling, or when you need something.”
Your mouth is full of soup, so you can’t reply like you want to. But what would you even say? Would you tell him that you’ve been struggling between your plan - which had been altered slightly over the past few days - or would you tell him you needed him in more ways than one?
“Master Geto,” a voice calls out at the opening of the tent. You don’t recognize the voice at all, but when the person walks through the flaps, you recognize his face. His wide, dark blue eyes are all-too familiar, and the young man’s mouth presses together in a thin line at the sight of you being spoon-fed by Geto. This is the same man who captured you when you tried to run away the first time.
“Yuta, I’m glad you’re here. What do you have for me?” Yuta… The name rings a bell along with the memory of Nanami mentioning him when talking about the new emissary. Yuta produces a thin roll of brown paper and hands it to Geto.
“They’re not going to send another emissary.” The implications of this knowledge brings the weight of the world down on your shoulders, and you look to Geto’s face, which is blank.
“Wait, but that means--” you’re quickly interrupted by Yuta’s sharp eyes cutting to you, and Geto chuckles.
“That means I’d better get you all settled in the next village as soon as possible.”
_______________________________________________________________________
“What if the elders don’t agree to his plan?” you wonder aloud, and Kaori runs water down your arms before answering softly.
“Then he will wipe the village out, my Lady.”
“But how? And single handedly?”
“I won’t claim to know how he does it. I have never been privy to his methods, nor would I want to be.”
You think about Kaori’s words long after the bath was over, alone in the bedroom and wrapped in furs. The thought of Geto slaughtering an entire village is chilling, but his truly ruthless side was not something you had been exposed to. You shake thoughts of death out of your mind and stand from the bed, dragging the fur pelt behind you as you stride over to Geto’s desk to eye his newest plans.
The page full of black and red ink marks is unfamiliar to you, and you can’t make heads or tails of the drawings despite looking at it from different angles. The mystery of the paper engrosses you fully - so much so that you don’t hear someone approaching you from behind.
“They’re formations.” Yuta speaks behind you, and you jolt, knocking your hip against the table.
“I b-beg your pardon?” you stutter, clutching the pelt around you tightly.
“Formations... for battle.” Yuta reaches over to point at a circle and then to the arrows moving away from it. “This is the center of the formation - where Master Gojo will be - and this,” he points to the triangle at the head of the formation. “Is where Master Geto will be.”
“Why is Gojo well-protected and not Geto?” The inquiry is met with laughter as Yuta slides the paper away from you.
“He’s not being protected. He’s protecting everyone else.”
“And when is this occurring?” Yuta raises a brow, looking over at you with a tender gaze.
“Haibara and Gojo are negotiating with the closest village as we speak, but we could encounter the Imperial Warriors at any time. This could happen tomorrow, if I’m being honest.”
“Tomorrow?” Your shock doesn’t affect the young man at all, and he steps away from you, eyeing you carefully.
“I won’t say anything further. Geto is protecting you from this information for some reason, and has obviously commanded Kaori to say nothing as well.” With this, he exits, and you’re left looking at the squares, circles, and triangles while wondering where you fit into all of this mess.
_______________________________________________________________________
Your encounter with Yuta gave you more questions than answers, and when the bed dips behind you, you roll over to meet Geto face to face, intent on getting answers.
“I thought you were asleep.” You don’t respond to the statement, instead sitting up fully and pushing your hair out of your eyes.
“You should have told me that you could go to war at any time.” Geto frowns, sliding in next to you and tilting his head to the side.
“I’m waiting on word from Haiba--”
“And that. What happened to my village after you took me?”
“Little one, I haven’t touched your village. You would know if I made any decisions about the fate of your peers.”
“Kaori doesn’t know what happened to her family, and she’s just a maid! Why would you feel obligated to tell me - a captive - about my family?”
“You’re more than just a captive to me, y/n. You know that,” he whispers, blinking slowly.
“Right, I’m a pawn,” you grunt. “I asked you to tell me your game, and now I’m asking you again. What do you plan on doing with me while you’re away at war? I know you’re not stupid enough to leave me here while you’re away and can’t keep an eye on--”
Geto puts up a hand, trying to stop you from speaking. “You’re right, I hav--”
“Did you know I tried to run away?” The General looks at you, face blank. “But I came back and…” You fumble for the words, but they don’t feel right in your mouth. So, you rephrase. “I came back because…” You pause. You remember the reason you justified coming back, but it doesn’t make sense now. You can’t even say you followed your own plan. It had fallen by the wayside the moment Geto’s lips met yours; that you knew for a fact.
“Nanami watched you; I knew you left the tent the moment you began walking across the camp,” he admits, and your lips part in surprise. “But you turned around. I came to confront you after dinner, and that’s why I was at the tent when you started to yell. My anger overshadowed my disappointment, but then even that was overshadowed by my desire to have you.”
“Then why--”
“I’m not leaving you here; you’re absolutely right about that. I wanted to wait to tell you when the time was right, but… I suppose now is the time. Your carriage will leave as soon as Gojo and Haibara send word back to me about the village. I’m sending you home.”

Hi everyone! Here is a little fic in Anakin’s POV I wrote for Codywan Week 2021! @codywanweek thank you so much for the prompts and facilitation of all of this! So excited to share it with everyone. This is for the Medbay alt. writing prompt. Will be posting to AO3 under the same username shortly.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
All Disgustingly in Love
Anakin made it a point to visit Obi-Wan in the Medbay, even if it was only a way of annoying his former Master with endless teasing. The elder man had never been particularly fond of presenting his weaknesses. Yet, every time a mission went wrong, Anakin was always the one to see him at his weakest moment.
This time it was an explosion; a large violent explosion of a hidden Separatist lair that had found itself in the sandy dunes of Anakin’s home planet. When it had been discovered by some locals, they had been contacted promptly. Anakin, vengeance on his mind, was first to volunteer to blow it to pieces. Yoda would only allow it if Obi-Wan came along for “damage-control” purposes which only drove Anakin to desire the most brutal of destruction he could achieve. Naturally, this led to Anakin’s implantation of a bomb in the underground cavern. Without an extra instant to warn Obi-Wan of his devious plan, the explosion took the Jedi Master by surprise. Let’s just say that Obi-Wan was definitely not impressed judging by the sand-burns on the exposed skin of his wrists and face and his obviously broken arm.
So Anakin was on his way to visit his Master in the Medbay not just to make fun of him, but probably to eventually apologize for an unfortunate explosion that somehow turned into a surprise medical-evac.
As soon as Obi-Wan had lifted his arm up from the hot sand with a piercing cry that made Anakin cringe outwardly, he was already comming Cody with an order to please for the love of the Force come here and get your boyfriend. Oh, because Cody was a thing with Obi-Wan now apparently and he was supposedly the only person who could effectively provide any sort of comfort to the untouchable High General Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan wanted nothing to do with Anakin’s half-hearted attempts to lighten the mood. Instead, he would rather lean into the embrace of his Commander. Ahsoka would giggle at Anakin’s gagging motions he made as Obi-Wan curled into Cody’s chest or grasped his hand like it was his one remaining life-line.
Anakin didn’t understand it, nor did he try. He supposed he would have to resign himself to the woeful position of second-best.
Anakin contemplated stopping by the training room on the way to the Medbay. He hated to admit it, but he was stalling. There was nothing worse than the disappointed tuts that Obi-Wan would toss his way once he entered the room. While the doors to the training room tempted him, Anakin set his sights on the Medbay with pure ambition to make his apology meaningful.
As he entered the red doors marking the entrance of the Medbay he was met with the smiling face of Kix who seemed to be scouring the medical supply closet for some extra field supplies. “Ah, here for Obi-Wan?” he said with a suspicious smirk. “He’ll be expecting your apology.”
Anakin tried his best to not roll his eyes. Great. “I was already planning on doing so. Tell him I don't need a hint next time.” Kix laughed under his breath and stuffed a few containers in his bag.
“He’s down the hall on the right. Be nice.” Anakin walked silently down the hallway and hoped with all of his being he would not be met with a smugly smiling Obi-Wan. He paused in front of the door where Obi-Wan’s robes sat folded neatly in a box by the door. Here we go. Anakin breathed out a deep sigh and pushed the door open with words already forming on his tongue.
“Obi-Wan I am just-” He flung the door open and his wide eyes were immediately fixated on the sight before him. Obi-Wan laid in the bed on his side, broken arm slung carefully in front of him. His cheeks were a rosy pink and Anakin could see that a bacta patch was covering the scrapes that lined his cheek and jawline. Behind him, Cody was curled around his back, legs intertwined with Obi-Wan’s atop of the sheets. The man was dressed in only his blacks while Obi-Wan wore clean white pants and no shirt at all. It was an unexpected sight that made Anakin’s eyes grow wide. Most alarmingly, however, was the way that Cody’s lips were suctioned to the skin of Obi-Wan’s neck. Cody nibbled at his skin and ran his tongue over the shell of Obi-Wan’s ear. The ginger shivered and a gentle moan escaped from his lips before the pair realized their unwanted visitor. “Kriff-”
“Anakin!” Obi-Wan’s cheeks burned an even brighter shade of red than before as he tried to sit up straight. Unfortunately, it resulted in him using his bad arm to push himself upward. A sudden shrill wail left Obi-Wan’s mouth as he collapsed down onto the bed.
“Shit!” Cody grunted as he sprung from the bed and pulled Obi-Wan off of his bad arm and onto his back. Anakin rushed to his other side and placed a reassuring hand onto his bicep, eyes tracing over Obi-Wan’s form for damage.
Obi-Wan let out a few deep breaths before looking up at Anakin with a whispered, “I’m fine, it’s okay.” Maybe Obi-Wan was okay but Anakin certainly was not.
“I cannot believe I just saw that.” Anakin sputtered and stared at the flustered Commander who stood with a hand resting on Obi-Wan’s shoulder, “I forbid Cody from ever coming near you again. Ever.” At least in my presence. Anakin eyed the purpling mark forming on Obi-Wan’s neck just below his ear. Teenagers; they were acting just like teenagers.
“I can do what I want with my own neck, Anakin.” Obi-Wan deadpanned, no evidence of a teasing smirk, just blanked seriousness spread across his blue eyes. Cody blushed furiously and buried his shaking head in his hands.
“And so can Cody, apparently.” Anakin narrowed his eyes. “This is the Medbay, Obi-Wan. For Force-sake please don’t ever subject me to that again.”
“We will settle on this as payback, yeah?”
“Fine. I am not apologizing for the explosion after that.” Anakin turned on his heel and stomped towards the door. “Cody, keep your hands off of him.”
“Yes sir.” Cody murmured as if Anakin was actually ordering him around. His cheeks were still burning with the remnants of embarrassment. With that, Anakin shut the door a little too loudly behind himself and leaned his head against the cool metal of the door. Through the thin door he heard Obi-Wan’s voice.
“Cody, dear, he’ll get over it. He’s resilient. Come back here, I wasn’t finished with you.”
Karking traitors all disgustingly in love.

May I request something where Leonardo and reader are really good friends and reader gets kidnapped and turned into a mutant. Leo blames himself, but reader reassures him it’s not his fault and they end up kissing. 💙💙
I'm To Blame [Leo x Mutated!reader]
Being turned into a mutant becomes the least of your problems when your closest friend believes it to be his fault. No one could have predicted what was going to happen; no one can control everything in their life. If only Leonardo would have realized that.
It started as leverage-abduction. The Turtles confront them, or you be pumped full of mutagen. Or worse.
The bait had been set, and the boys had no choice but to take it. Hook, line, sinker. You were held in a Foot-controlled lab, bound next to a glass canister of the ooze, a line in your arm and only the clan scientist in control of the drip standing between you and a possibly grotesque fate. You struggled and squirmed, but it was no use; there was no escape on your own.
There was a crash outside the lab doors, men shouting, guns firing, but bursting through the doors were your four saviors. Your friends, allies, and family. Leo fought his way to the front, a new kind of urgency consuming him as the gravity of the situation hit him. Any closer, and you would be mutated.
"Halt!" a soldier shouted over the clamor, a team of heavily armed men forming a semicircle around you and the scientist.
A hand grabbed hold of the back of your neck, yanking you toward him. He forcefully stretched your arm out and displayed the tube, making a note of their predicament, and the boys grimaced. Raph growled that deep, rage-fuelled rumble, while Donnie felt a shudder run up his spine seeing the canister of mutagen. What DNA the concoction was infused with, they had no idea of. There could have been anything in there. If the dosage wasn't carefully monitored, she could be killed!
"Weapons down, turtles, or this girl will be transformed right in front of you," the scientist said coolly. Leo stepped forward, blade drawn and teeth bared, but a warning shot was fired into the wall next to them. Mikey yelped and ducked into Raph, who blocked him partially with his huge frame. The scientist leaned down and inspected the canister, humming, "It seems like this batch is highly unstable. Is this a game you want to play, mutants?"
"You're bluffin'," snarled Raph, and his hands gripped his sais impossibly tighter.
The scientist raised his brows, his free hand wandering to the activator to the mutagen. One tap of a button, and your humanity would be ripped away. "Perhaps. But can you really be sure?" he inquired almost casually. "Only one flex of my finger, and we'll see."
Clenching his jaw, Raph shifted, lowering his weapons a little.
Leo mentally gauged the man power that was currently present. They could take them, he knew they could!
But Leo couldn't trifle with the canister currently attached to you. Breathing heavily, he dropped his swords, which clanged loudly on the floor. His eyes met yours, solemn, and you broke into a violent fit.
"Leo!" you cried out, lunging forward as he told his brothers to stand down. "Don't do this! Please, please, get out of here!"
He only shut his eyes, and with a wave of his hand, they all let go of their weapons in succession.
"We're not going to leave you!" Donnie yelled in return, his voice shaky.
There was a deafening silence in which it felt like a standoff, the boys panting, trying to formulate a battle plan in their heads. Leo stared at the scientist with one of the most hate-filled gazes you'd ever witnessed.
One of the soldiers in the back turned halfway around and whispered something into his earpiece.
The hefty metal doors right behind them flung open, a line of large men clad in black carrying what looked like modified cattle prods. The rods popped with electric currents as they closed in on the boys, who were only able to whirl around quick enough to meet the electrified weapons, and were instantly stunned. Currents no human could withstand brought them to their knees, Mikey shouting shrilly as he fell forward.
Groaning, Leo kneeled. He turned to the scientist at your side, his eyes darting between you and him. "You got us. Now let her go," he said. His voice was low and raspy.
Hand hovering over the button, the scientist spoke while he looked you in the eye, "You know, we were short of a healthy test subject."
Mikey gasped and planted his palms on the floor, "You can't do that, man!"
The scientist sighed and looked down at you, who was wildly struggling against your restraints. He muttered in a matter-of-fact tone, "But I can." It seemed that after a moment of contemplation, eyes going out of focus as they fell on your face and the tears running down it, he let out a reluctant groan, and motioned to one of the men behind him. "Take her elsewhere. We'll figure out what to do with her once we get these," he glanced back at the turtles, "squared away. Clear?"
"That wasn't the deal!" roared Leo, rapidly surging toward the scientist. Another electric shock was sent through him, but he kept on, and the brothers all followed suit.
You winced as the clamor rose and all hell broke loose, the boys ripping their weapons away from the men, guns being fired—your ears rang and a bullet even whizzed by your head.
Leo came at the scientist with his blade, the cowardly man trying to duck away in time. Two soldiers came up on their flank, one with a semi-automatic, and the other brandishing the electric rod. Except before they could get close to even shock him, Mikey's nunchucks landed a heavy blow on one of their heads, causing him to stumble toward you.
And fell right onto the button.
"No!" you heard both Donnie and Leo scream as the drip was activated, Mutagen flowing through the tube and into your body.
Everything became a blur. Within minutes you mutated, firstly writhing on the floor in agony as the burning liquid coarsest through you. Bones shifted, tissue changed, muscles spasmed. Your senses were temporarily blinded.
"Idiots!" snarled the scientist, backing away from you as you transformed. Raph was occupied holding off the soldiers. Mikey couldn't bear to watch. Donnie didn't know what to do, and Leo was...devastated.
Your strength grew. You broke free from your restraints. The firefight continued, this time aimed at you rather than just the Turtles. But the boys wouldn't let them hurt you. In your panic, you'd almost attacked them—your family. Leo hollered at Donnie and Mikey to get you out of there while they covered you, and seconds later, you were all barrelling out of the facility, alarms blaring, guns sounding, men shouting.
Yes, the Mutagen was highly unstable. You couldn't control yourself. And your body, it wasn't done reacting to the ooze.
You didn't know what happened next. You fell unconscious just after escaping. The last thing you can remember is Leo catching you in his arms. Him helping to carry you back home, to the lair. Your new home. You were one of them, now.
Breathing labored, you sat up on the metal table you had been laid on by Donnie. He'd checked your vitals already. Needless to say, so early in your mutation, things were not looking the best. But you would pull through; he was sure of it.
The first face you sas upon waking up was Leo's, worried. His eyes flitted all over you. You hadn't yet seen yourself.
"Y/N," he whispered, hands bracing against the edge of the table. "This...this is my fault," he said.
Donnie scuttled by holding a light and examined your eyes, then asked you to move a bit to see if there were any anomalies such as paralysis. You had some trouble adjusting to your new form, but so far, it wasn't dire.
Everyone came and went, hugging you, saying their piece about how happy they were that you were okay—as okay as you could have been—until Splinter noticed Leo's distress. He told the boys to let you two have a minute alone. Splinter left himself, as well.
The two of you now alone, Leo had a hard time speaking. He couldn't quite find the words to say how sorry he was.
"This isn't your fault," you drawled, still feeling a little loopy from the whole ordeal.
He leaned in, as you couldn't do much beside sit up. "If you hadn't ever gotten involved with us, this would have never happened," he said, lowering his head. "And now you're…"
He paused, and you finished for him, "I'm what? A mutant?" you asked softly. "Leo, I am so lucky to be alive. And it's all thanks to you." He sighed, not believing your words. "They would have killed me, Leo," you added, and took his hands in yours. He looked up at you, blue eyes meeting your own. Had your eye color changed?
"You didn't deserve this," he swallowed.
"Does anyone?"
He stood up. "This happened because I failed, y/n! As a leader, as a friend—"
Not caring about your current state, you slid off the table, landing on your feet with a thud. Your body ached, but you payed it no mind. Leo went rigid as you closed the gap between you two.
Still holding his hands, you told him slowly, "It is not your fault."
Your faces were only a few inches from each other. Unknowing, he gripped your hands. You swore that you could almost hear his heartbeat picking up as you leaned in, lips hovering over his. He looked as though he wanted to say something, but you stopped that thought. "You understand? Not...your...fault…"
His breath hitched when you gently pressed your mouth to his, at first going completely still. But then he closed his eyes, and his arms found their ways around your torso. The kiss was short and gentle, but he was stricken—only when you parted did he whisper a moment later, a new kind of hope inside, "You can live here, with us. You don't have to worry. You shouldn't ever have to worry, y/n."
"I won't worry, Leo," you muttered, letting your head rest on his chest. "Not when you're here with me."
He held you until eventually, everyone filed back in, Splinter smiling warmly at the sight.

But then he gets annoyed at you and ends up tying you up and tickling you as a punishment, though it ends in fluff and giggles at the end? Love ur fics!
Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“How many times we gonna have this argument?”
I had zero desire to do this tonight but I stood there anyway, arms crossed, nostrils flaring. Everyone in the bar was cowering away from Syverson’s intimidating hulk of a stance, but not me. I’d been with him for too long.
The guy that hit on me was far in retreat but once again, I’d been embarrassed in front of everyone by Sy taking it too seriously. He was so protective and for the most part, I didn’t mind. But I consider myself a woman that can defend herself without the aid of a man, and when said man comes in and threatens to maul any man within a ten foot radius of me, my intimidation factor gets undercut by about fifty percent.
Syverson also had his arms crossed, his legs regulation width apart and back ramrod straight. His size alone was enough to terrify most women, and even some men, but not me. I was far too pissed. Sy furrowed his brow.
“I’ll not have anyone hittin’ on my woman, especially not while I’m there to defend her,” he stated firmly. I rolled my eyes and threw my hands in the air.
“We’re goin’ in circles, and I ain’t doin’ this in public, especially not tonight,” I snapped. I grabbed my clutch and walked out the door, hailing a passing taxi and getting in before I could change my mind. As I gave the driver my address, I looked out the window and saw Syverson standing there, his mouth set in a stern line. A pang of excited fear shot into my belly; I had just left my husband at a bar.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Syverson made it home about twenty long minutes after I did. They had to have been the most agonizing minutes of my life, and that included the time he suddenly lost phone reception once when he was on tour. I got ready for bed while I waited for him to come home, but I knew sleep would evade me. Back and forth I paced, straightening the décor on our shelves and brushing my hair before finally coming to rest on the bed, my knees pulled up to my chest.
I heard a car door outside and adrenaline coursed through my veins; the front door slamming shut near made me jump out of my skin. My body was rooted to the mattress, fingers fidgeting with the lacey hem of my cotton nightgown nervously. Sy entered our room, glanced at me briefly, then tore off his shirt and tossed it in the hamper as he barricaded himself in our bathroom without a word. I was in so much trouble, and my heart sank down into my stomach. Why of all nights did we have to do this tonight?
It wasn’t long before Syverson came back into the room, scowl still stubbornly etched on his face as he removed the rest of his clothes. He caught my eye and held it in silent warning; I didn’t dare look away. His belt was drawn out of its fabric station slowly and my ass clenched in apprehensive dread, but Sy just dropped it to the floor. My annoyance catapulted over my fear.
“Ya just not gonna talk to me then?” I snapped, shooting him my own glare. Syverson still didn’t speak, simply shucked his legs out of his pants and boxers and climbed under the covers, rolling over so that his back was facing me. That was the last straw.
“Sy…” I drawled, dragging a fingernail down his spine. He rotated his shoulder and huffed, but didn’t turn over. Determined, I tried again, spidering my fingers over the back of his ribs. Syverson spun around with surprising agility for a man so large and in a flash my wrist was seized.
“Best not start somethin’ ya can’t finish, little lady,” he warned, shoving my hand away. He closed his eyes and settled back into the bed. Anyone else would have heeded Sy’s warning, but not me. I needed to talk about it.
“Come on Sy, talk to me,” I pleaded. He just grunted. I assessed the situation, surveying his body for my plan of attack. His big arms protected most of his torso but the blanket had ridden down when he flipped over, and I could see the sharp point of his hip bone cresting through the waves of hair that graced his skin. Bingo.
I crawled on the bed carefully, sneaking a hand beneath the blanket to where Syverson’s warm girth lay nestled between his thighs. He grunted again but shifted to grant me more access; he never could say no to a blow job, no matter how mad he was. I straddled his chest and palmed him softly, smirking as he fell straight into my trap. Instead of leaning over though, I drilled my fingers into the deep pockets of his hips, relishing the way he immediately started huffing and throwing curses my way.
“If ya ain’t gonna talk to me then I’m just gonna tickle ya,” I drawled, scribbling my nails over his sensitive flesh. Sy grunted and jerked but he couldn’t quite get his hands around my torso to reach, the tickles confusing his brain and causing him to lose focus.
“Hmmm… still don’t wanna talk?” I teased, “Fine then, perhaps I should move to yer feet.”
In a flash my ankles were yanked out from under me and I was rolled underneath Sy’s heavy frame, his nimble fingers finding purchase beneath him on my sensitive ribs. I squealed and scrambled for his hands, kicking at him as I tried to stop the tickles. He just climbed on top of me and flipped around to straddle my hips, instantly immobilizing me and removing any notion I had of making it out of this alive.
“Ya think ya can just leave?” Syverson growled, pinning my arms above my head with one hand and returned to digging his fingers into my rib cage. I squealed again and fought to escape, but his thighs were an iron vice around my hips and his rough hand effortlessly held my wrists, locking me in place so that he had all the room in the world to punish me for my behavior.
“Ya thought this was over just cause you were done with it?” His fingers drilled faster, their ferocity matching the scowl on his face as I laughed helplessly.
“Try again, little lady... we ain’t over ‘til I say so.”
With that, he reverted back to his silence. I screamed and pleaded with him but he ignored me, tickling any skin he could find. When he ran out of skin to tickle he simply created more, rucking up my nightgown to gain access to my belly and navel. I laughed and wailed but my cries met a stone wall; I was too ticklish for my own good, and Syverson was mad.
He tore my nightgown completely off me and grabbed my wrists, and I took the brief moment to gasp for air. My respite was short lived however as I noticed his intentions; he was pinning my arms beneath his knees.
“No, Sy NO, PLEASE!!” I protested, pulling uselessly against his brute strength. I knew his game, I knew where he was headed and I didn’t want it.
“I’m sorry,” I begged him. Sy stared at me, hands on his knees, glare still firmly lodged on his face.
“I told ya not to start something ya couldn’t finish,” he said coldly. His hands travelled slowly behind him, resting along the supple flesh on my thighs.
“I know, I--KNOW,” I gasped, kicking at him. Syverson shuffled my body as I spoke, spreading my legs and trapping them between his folded knees.
“Ya just... ya wouldn’t talk to me, Sy. I didn’t want to go to bed upset, not tonight,” I admitted, gazing up at him with round eyes. I struggled under his weight, trembling as his fingertips grazed along the inner tendons that connected my legs to the rest of my body. Sy gave me a look that said I better keep talking, so I continued to explain.
“I don’t need ya to defend me all the time,” I said softly, not wanting to look at him. I knew his face would show that he was hurt, and I was right.
“That’s what I’m here for, bug,” He whispered, staring at my heaving chest as he traced circles along my sensitive loins. I shivered. God, I wanted to reach out and hold him.
“But what about when ya aren’t here?”
Syverson’s head snapped up to look at me, fire and pain flaring in his eyes. I could see that it hadn’t occurred to him that I still got hit on when he was overseas. Remorse and understanding fell over his features, and he nodded in submission.
“You’re right, I’m sorry. Still, ya need to pay fer leavin’ the bar without me.”
His fingers picked up their pace and my face scrunched up in agony. I wasn’t gonna get out of this by distracting him, and I was left with no choice but to accept my punishment. Still, I had to try.
“Sy, no don’t--” I managed to get out before he was squeezing those tendons between his thumbs and fingers, pinching every last ticklish nerve along my thighs. I thrashed and screamed, the highest-pitched squeals tumbling from my lips as he laid waste to my secret weakness, fluttering his fingers all over my mound. Time lost all meaning; had it been five minutes? Ten? I didn’t know, all I knew was that instead of tickles, my tortured pussy desired nothing more than for him to split me open and fuck me into the next century.
“NO MORE!” I begged, “SY PLEEEHEHEASE!! NO MOOOHOHORE!!”
His fingers froze and Syverson cocked an eyebrow at me.
“Ya gonna try and fight back?” he questioned, positioning his elbows on either side of my head.
“No sir,” I breathed.
“Who do you belong to?” he growled. My eyes softened and I gazed at his face, desperate to touch him, to comfort him.
“I belong to you.”
“Good girl.”
Sy released my arms and I wrapped them around his neck, burying my face in his shoulder as he did the same to me, thrusting into me to be as close as he could. He was hard as a rock, it took no more than five seconds before he was bottomed out and we two had become one flesh. It was an old song and dance and yet every time still felt like the first.
Syverson held me close as I clung to him fiercely, my tears weaving a wet trail into my hair as his embrace coiled around me, suffocating me in the best of ways.
“I’ll be back before you know it, bug,” He crooned against my cheek, but I could hear how choked up he was and I lost it. I would never get used to him leaving.
“You better be,” I sobbed, never wanting this night to end. Tomorrow brought pain, and separation.
“Now now, no tears,” Sy shushed, cradling my face in his hands and wiping the salt that threatened to stain my face. He thrust into me, hard and wanting and I gasped, pitching my hips to meet his. My cervix was on fire, the slightest movement would send me barreling over the edge into bliss. I saw a glint in Sy’s eye, one that told me he was about to be devilishly mischievous and my arms were brought to rest above my head, fingers interlocked with mine, and kisses alighted on my nose and neck as his lips found their way to my ear.
“Keep your arms up, bug,” he ordered, his fingertips spidering softly down my arms. No, I thought, squirming my hips and then gasping in shock as pleasure rocked through my center. Not this. Anything but this. His voice came searing into my mind, sealing my fate with one phrase.
“Yer gonna learn not to start somethin’ ya can’t finish.”

PAIRING: bodyguard!bucky barnes x innocent actress!reader
WARNINGS: assault, swearing, trauma, tones of ptsd
A/N: this chapter is heavy with prominent mentions of assault. if that triggers you, please skip this chapter.
NEXT CHAPTER
She stood in the middle of the set, surrounded by bright lights as the cast and staff moved around to change the setting of the set design. There was nothing she could really feel and she felt herself almost out of her own body, the lack of sleep weighing not only on her eye bags but on her brain and ability to properly function. She felt she was watching herself out of her own body, watching as she dragged herself from scene to scene, almost changing into a completely different person when the cameras were on. It was mechanical, an ability of someone who’d been acting since she was a child. She slipped in and out of her own consciousness, almost knowing everything with a sharp eye but ignoring it. No matter how much she tried, she couldn’t sleep. Any news that appeared regarding HYDRA or criminal organisations were always a trigger to keep her up at night. The silence itself was a trigger. Every blank letter she would get would send her into a spiral, every knock on her door. Wherever she turned, either Bucky or however haunted her seemed to surge. Except this time, Bucky wasn’t around. Sharon was but she couldn’t help to think something was off.
Two weeks.
Something was off.
She was no super soldier and she was no agent so all she could do was merely put a smile and say “nothing” whenever they asked her if something was wrong. Not that they asked, she was a good actress after all so to everyone else, even Sharon, she was peachy keen, with the same shy smile she always had on set. After all, this was the place she could be anyone but herself. Anna, the character she was playing, was so far removed from her own personality that whatever she felt seemed to dissipate mid takes. Yet, there was no comfort in becoming someone else, becoming someone who was so one dimensional she’d rather be back in her mind. Wherever she turned, she felt trapped, shackled by the weight of her own thoughts. There was nothing she could do.
- CUT! It’s a wrap everyone. - the bright lights dimmed as a ‘pop’-like sound removed her from her own dazed consciousness. She clung onto her own arms, turning around with a quickened heartbeat which slowed down as she realised it was merely a bottle of champagne which was now being half poured into flutes and half poured onto the floor. Yet, all she could hear was a buzzing in her ears.
She stood in the middle of everything, almost like a movie shot. Things moved fast but she knew they moved slowly and she remained there, in the middle of the shot, listening to everything as if she were underwater. Everyone was celebrating, drinking and laughing out loud but she couldn’t hear anything. Just a buzz. That’s all she could hear. The buzz and the sound of the wind bustling her dress.
- Y/N? - Sharon moved through the crowd, knowing way too well what was happening. She had seen it before. She carefully put her hand just slightly over her shoulder, not touching her but anyone would sense it. - Can you breathe in and out?
- Huh? - she was once again pulled out into her body and suddenly everything was just too fast, everything was just too loud as if someone had pressed the forward button on an old VHS tape. Her eyes moved side to side as her own hand pressed against her chest, a forceful reminder to feel her own heart beat. - Yeah, hum, I just need a break.
- That’s fine. - Sharon nodded her head and started to guide her out the middle of the set; however, a much familiar sound of heels hitting the gravel halted those plans. The she was, always board in hands. - Move.
- You’re needed. - Ms. Olson pointed at the actress in front of her with her pen. - The director wants to speak to you.
- Yeah, that’s fine. - Y/N pulled a fake smile. There was no use putting a fight, she had already done so and something told her not to stray too far off the cage they had put her in. She knew that with Bucky gone and Sharon under the cover she was one of her old university classmates which had settled down in New York as a stage manager, she had no protection, at least no personal protection. What she had belonged to the agency and if she toed out of line, she’d be left to fend for herself. She could barely look at the mail without shivering, much less fend for herself. She was a short woman, anyone taller than her could easily overpower her and that was the sad truth.
Once again, she found herself out of her body, watching as she walked the gravel with Ms. Olson to the trailer belonging to the director. Y/N was tired, she had no intention of wanting to speak to anyone, all she wanted to do was try to sleep yet here she was knocking on the door of the man she had learned to stray away from. The door was opened by his assistant, a small woman barely in her twenties, couldn’t be much younger than 5 years from Y/N, who had an almost meek look to her, hunched back even. Before Y/N could ask her what was wrong, the director, Mr. Powell, was already yelling out for the assistant to leave and for Y/N to come already. The girl stepped out and closed the door behind Y/N, leaving the two of them inside his trailer. It was grimy with papers and open bottles everywhere and the stench of smoke was thick in the air. It was almost comical, cartoonish even how it looked as if a cartoon, over exaggerated version of a 70′s movie director.
- Sit down. - he pointed to the spot on the brown couch near him. She was hyper aware of everything as she sat down on the couch, yet living a big space between the two of them. - You almost ruined my shot today with those puffy eyes, darling.
- I’m sorry, sir. I’ve been having some personal issues, I thought they would’ve de puffed by today.
- I’ve heard. - he took a puff of his cigarette which laid in the middle of his calloused fingers, laying against the couch rest as if he were on top of the world, when he was merely as much of an unknown as she was. He was no famous director, he wasn’t even a good one. - I thought you were missing your shadow. Where is he anyway? Lost his mind again? You know, darling, I’m always worried about you. I mean once a killer, always a killer, right?
- ... You’re pathetic. - it came out of her lips without her even noticing it. She stared at him with a lack of respect few people saw yet as quickly as she said those words, she was pined down against the brown leather of the couch. She could feel the cracked leather against the skin of her neck. His hand gripped her throat, hard, cutting her air flow and keeping her against the couch cushions.
- You ungrateful little bitch. - Y/N started kicking her feet, trying to somehow roll over on the floor. - I gave you the best role, put up with you not losing any weight and looking like any average shopping girl and how do you repay me? By being a whore?
She continued to kick her legs up in down so fast it had already started to tire her muscles. Her hands clawed at his face, leaving scratch marks which were sure to remain red and angry on his cheeks.
- I’m gonna give you some advice, darling. You wanna get ahead? Start whoring yourself for someone other than your boyfriend.
His hands left her neck and he returned to sit down where the place where he had been, as if he hadn’t just chocked her against the couch pillows. Y/N got up from the couch and bolted towards the door, pulling it open and climbing down the stairs, noticing the assistant was in front of them. Same meek look, yet Y/N continued to charge away from the set villa until she stopped on the sidewalk, sitting down as she watched the traffic in front of her. The weather was cloudy and dark yet somehow the cars lights made it brighter and it hurt her head. It hurt her head too much. The smell of fog and the bright lights hide her away as she tucked her head in the middle of her knees, chest going up and down yet no tears rolled down her face.
- Hey ... - Sharon sat by her side. - Let’s go home, yeah?
The fog merely thickened and lowered, covering the whole of New York in a somber mood. The wind itself was also fast and freezing and as Bucky stepped inside government headquarters, the mood as just as somber. The lights were yellow yet everything had a weird green-like tinge. Everyone was mechanically induced into their own work yet he was hyper aware of everything. Two weeks. Two weeks to bring in a HYDRA general and a senator which were sure to buy their own bail and go back and all he could say and think was he was tired. James “Bucky” Barnes was tired and worn down.
He strutted towards the interviewing room where Agent Cox and Doctor Raynor were. It was nothing new to him, it was always the same; he would return from whatever assignment had been given to him and be questioned on it by whatever agent was looking over the case and then had a “therapy” session with Doctor Raynor. It was never to check if he was alright, or at least it barely was. They just wanted to see him, to see the Winter Soldier was still inactivated. He understood that yet that didn’t mean he particularly liked it.
He told the agent all he wanted know, from where he had found the two he had just brought in, to some background info. There wasn’t much to say and when he was done, he was left with Doctor Raynor. He stood against his metal chair, convinced to get this over and done with so he could go back to Brooklyn. Back to her.
- How are you, James?
- I’m good, doc. Can I go now?
- James, that’s not how this works. You should know that by now. - she opened her notebook. Great. - Tell me about the mission.
- It was an extraction, mission. No one got hurt. - lies. He had gotten hurt, he had taken a pretty harsh blow to his cheekbone which was developing into a nasty purple bruise, yet, that was not who they were questioning him about. If he had gotten hurt, it didn’t matter. - No nightmares either.
- Are you lying to me, James?
- No, I just want to get out of here. I haven’t seen my girlfriend in two weeks.
- Tell me about your girlfriend. - she closed the notebook, almost as if this was off book yet he knew that nothing was off book. Not for him. Everyone has the right to privacy but the Winter Soldier. - What’s her name?
- Y/N.
- How old is she?
- Younger than me.
- No need to be hostile, James.
- No need to ask me about my love life, doc.
- Any big fights? Any ... problems regarding your condition? Healthy sex life?
- Are you asking me if I abuse my girlfriend? - his blood boiled yet he tried to keep cool. He knew an anger outbreak would only keep him in this session for longer than he wanted. Despite this, he chose to get up and leave the room.
He didn’t want to hear it. He didn’t want to hear those accusations, he didn’t even want to think about it. Bucky did not like the idea of the Winter Soldier and Y/N together. He didn’t want to merge those two worlds together. The Winter Soldier was someone, a part of him which he didn’t fully understand and he didn’t want Y/N together with it. No, Bucky wanted Y/N to only see whatever bit of kindness, whatever few bits of goodness lied within him. He didn’t want her to the Winter Soldier’s girlfriend. He knew he didn’t deserve her and that title only further reminded him.
He continued to be lost in his head, those questions running through his mind as he unlocked the door only to be met with Sharon pointing her gun at him. She lowered her gun once she realised who it was that stood in the entrance, putting the gun back in between her jeans and her shirt.
- Two weeks? That was long.
- Not my fault, Sharon. - Bucky dropped his duffel bag to the floor. - How is she?
- Not good. - Sharon crossed her arms. - You have to tell her things, James. C’mon, you can do that with me and Steve and maybe even Sam. We know them, we’ve been in missions before but she doesn’t.
- Spare me this.
- She barely slept while you gone, James. God, are you so afraid she’ll stop loving you if you tell her about the Winter Soldier that you’d rather her live in constant anxiety every time you have to leave?
- I won’t have to leave.
Sharon scoffed, grabbing her jacket from the coat hanger.
- Do you seriously believe that, James?
- Since when do you care about Y/N?
- Stop being your worse enemy, James. She deserves to know.
God, she sure was awful now, Bucky thought to himself as Sharon left probably to return to Steve. The flat was intact, things were just as he had left them and everything was quiet except for the TV in the living room. Their bedroom door was slightly opened, probably so Sharon could keep an eye on Y/N. He took his shoes off so his steps wouldn’t alarm her and walked into the bedroom. She was there, in the bed, laying on her side, sleeping peacefully. Bucky walked up to her side of the bed, leaning down to kiss her forehead.
She stirred in her sleep, eyes slowly opening as Bucky began to shush her, trying to make sure she went back to sleep. Last thing he had wanted was to awake her up.
- Bucky? - she held herself onto one arm, the other hand coming to rub the sleep off her eyes. Once the blurriness dissipated and she confirmed it was indeed her Bucky, she wrapped her arms around him tightly, almost knocking him into the bed.
Bucky melted in her touch, burying his nose in her hair, sensing the scent of vanilla from her shampoo and the warmth of her skin. This was home, not Brooklyn but her. She was home, she felt like home. She pulled away from the hug for a bit to examine him, her fingers brushing the bruise on his cheekbone.
- What happened? Are you okay? Are you hurt?
- I’m fine. It’s just the bruise, Y/N.
- I’ll get some ice. - she prepared to get out of bed but he pushed her back on it. She felt onto his chest and he held her against him with one arm. What he did not expect was to see how uncomfortable she became at the inability to move. He was used to playing around with her, rolling around or having her on top of his chest.
- What’s wrong, princess?
- Nothing ... - she shook her head. - I just missed you. I was afraid you were hurt or you were dead.
- I’m not hurt, I’m here.
- You’re staying, right? - she questioned, rolling to his side of the bed, laying on his side. - You’re not here just to visit.
- Yeah, I’m staying, princess. - he caressed her cheek, leaning his forehead against hers. Sharon’s words, however, kept pulling at him. She loved him, he knew she loved him. Right?
- You’re making the face.
- What face?
- Your thinking face. - she cuddled against him, fingers softly pulling his chin down so he was looking at her. - What are you thinking about?
- You love me, right? - he probably sounded insecure, he could hear himself sounding insecure, his voice cracking. She cocked her head to the side before raising her fingers to trace his jaw.
- Of course I do. You think I’d be marrying you if I didn’t love you?
- I wanted to hurt them. - he blurted. - I wanted to torture them. Both of them.
- Who?
- Every time they send me to any of these assignments. Make amends ... I wanna hurt those people, I wanna hurt them like they hurt me and I hate it.
- Buck ...
- I’m ... I wanna be a good person, Y/N. I wanna be good. - he shut his eyes tightly. - And I’m not.
- It does not make you a bad person to want to hurt you hurt you, to want revenge. You do not act on it and that’s the difference. You’re not a bad person, Bucky.
- You’re the only person who thinks that.
- Doesn’t matter. - she smiled at him, softly kissing him. - I’m not expecting you just to move on and let it go. It’s part of your life and it’s part of you and I love you. All bad and all good, I love you.
- Maybe you need a better judgement.
- I have the best judgment between the both of us. I have no thrown myself off a plane without a parachute.
- That can’t be your way of winning arguments.
- It is my way of winning arguments. - she giggled at him. - Let’s just go to sleep.
The night seemed short, way too short but it did not matter because both of them were there. It was calm, too calm until a harsh knock had both of them wake up from her slumber, the morning barely bright yet there was already some light. Y/N clung onto his arm as another harsh knock was delivered against his door. Bucky moved slowly to take his gun from under the bed before he walked out the bedroom, putting his gun behind his back as he opened the door. The police stood in front of him, quite a few of them. Way too many.
- James Buchanan Barnes, you are under arrest for the alleged harassment and stalking of Miss Y/N Y/L/N.

PINING, BAGELS, REPEAT.
— WHEN THE DRINKING'S DONE ; PART 6 / ?
( gif from this gifset by @jascontodd )
PAIRING: Bruce Wayne x reader
WORD COUNT: 2.9k
SUMMARY: Sunday night dinner with your mother doesn’t go as planned when Bruce shows up unexpectedly at your door and you both know how your mother really loves him alot.
A/N: Slow and kinda long-winded chapter again haha. I used to be the kind of person who couldn’t write long stuff. Now look at me. Who is she??? Enjoy this one yall. Probably one or two more chapters to go, depends on how much I can write <3
WARNINGS: Swearing, alcohol. I write about what I feel and they are very real. So if you find these things triggering, please do not read this.
MASTERLIST ; MASTERPOST
Sunday night. You’re in an apron, flushed from the heat of the stove. You’ve just poured a glass of wine for your mother, but she doesn’t drink it—too busy walking around your apartment, clearing your stuff as she criticizes your lack of cleanliness and organization. Grading papers during exam season keeps you busy. Needless to say, you don’t have the time to clean your goddamn house.
You still love her anyway.
You’re at the sink, purple-stained fingers from peeling the tunic of the red onions are under running water when there is a knock on your door. It’s deafening, rapid, and agitating. You’ve just spilled boiling water onto your hand and you really don’t need another problem to come charging at your front door. Literally.
Moving out of the kitchen with haste, you call out over your shoulder to your mother to quit rearranging with bits and bobs of stationary and papers because yes, it’s messy but you know exactly where everything is. The knocking doesn’t cease, and your annoyance aggravates further. You’re gonna have to punch someone or something if it doesn’t stop.
You aggressively pushed the barrel of the bolt lock, swinging the door open as the strands of your wild hair flew backward in the sudden blow of air.
All forms of anger and agitation disappear as soon as your gaze meets the flushed face of none other than Bruce fucking Wayne, dressed in a grey dress vest, tie hanging loosely a pristine white shirt, and an ebony tweed overcoat. This feels like deja vu. Your expression goes through a series of mixed emotions, mostly confusion, when it morphed into a guise of embarrassment, cheeks even redder. “Don’t tell me I texted you by accident again?” He blinks, seemingly as bewildered as you are. “What? No, no. No. I—” His sentence is cut short when he takes a moment to catch his breath. Your brows are frowning even deeper than before. “Did you run here or something? And what are you doing here anyway?”
Bruce shifts in his stance, a palm against the door frame, shaking his head. He feels small under your interrogative stare. “No, I came here to see you…” he trails off, eyes shamelessly skirting across your figure. He just now notices that it may be a bad time for him to turn up, and you’re hit with the realization you’re in a ratty apron, very red and very sweaty. You’re right. It is deja vu because why are you always a mess when Bruce shows up at your front door unannounced? You abruptly pull the apron over your head, hurling it behind the door, hands palming the frizz of your hair into a somewhat presentable look.
“Look, I need to talk you—”
“Honey! Who’s at the door?” He’s being cut off mid-sentence again. This time, by your mother’s voice from the living room. Your eyes are wide again—so are his.
Your mother’s fondness for Bruce is an understatement. Obsession is a better word. She had only met him once, and that was six years ago but the conceptualization of being somewhat related to an exceptionally handsome and successful man had gotten to her head all those years ago. Hell, she loves him more than she loves you. Your mother—A woman who wishes to call your best friend ‘son’ with a whole lot of love to give. If she discovers Bruce is here, at your doorstep, she will never let go. Never. And you both know it. There’s a silent understanding that travels between the two of you and the look you’re giving him tells only one thing—Run before it’s too late.
“Bruce Wayne as I live and breathe...”
Well, too late.
A small-statured lady stands on the farther side of the hallway, face lit up with sheer joy and excitement as if she had just won a lottery. She approaches him with arms open wide and soon, her hands are laid on his cheeks, examining the man’s face carefully. Bruce just stands there, stiff as a rock, unsure of how to regain his composure from all the adrenaline of wanting to see you now that he was in such close proximity to the woman who raised you. When it’s you, he tends to struggle with timing and it’s partly the reason he has never managed to act on his feelings for you. For the longest time, he has wanted to be more than friends or whatever the hell this was. He had been hesitant but now, he’s very sure.
Sometimes it feels like it's the right person but the wrong time. He doesn’t want it to be that way. He wants to make things right with you.
And there he was, being squished under the grasp of the lady that loves him very much.
He catches your gaze; you flash him a sympathetic smile as you mouth the word “sorry.” Bruce arches his brows, indicating he has no idea what to do or how to get out of this situation.
“You’ve grown so much since the last time I saw you!” the older woman exclaims, a hand now firmly on his shoulder, the other brushing away his long strands of hair from his face with affection. Bruce would never admit it; he likes the attention your mother gives to him—the touch of a mother. Something he longs for.
“Why don’t you come in and join us for dinner? There's more than enough food.”
Crap, you should have known that question was bound to be mentioned. You’re not convinced that you will be able to suppress your emotional heartburn and the idea of Bruce tasting the dishes you’re cooking, it’s making your palms sweat. But what the hell. You shouldn’t be this nervous around him, you’ve known each other for years. He has seen you at your worst and vice versa.
Still, you’ll like to avoid the predicament of a dinner table set for you, your mother, and the man you secretly love. You’re quick with an answer. “Oh, I’m sure he has other important things to do. Bruce is very busy—”
“I’ll be happy to. I have no plans for tonight after all.”
You stare at Bruce, eyes glimmering with shock and betrayal—he is supposed to be on your side. He simply sends you a swift wink, and you feel the growing and most likely apparent deep red of your already flushed cheeks. You glance away to face your mother, eye crinkling in hopes of concealing the effect he has on you. Well, at least your mother looks fucking overjoyed. Maybe the night won’t end in disappointment.
-
The scent of chicken and spice whiffs through the air from the dishes of chicken and chorizo paella you’ve managed to whip up in a quick thirty minutes—a recipe you came by in an article titled “Fancy dishes for lazy cooks.” Well, it’s certainly working; everyone looks pleasantly surprised when you emerge from the kitchen with a cast-iron skillet within your kitchen gloved-grasp.
Happiness is the sound of the clinking of cutlery against nearly empty smeared plates, the splash of wine cascading from the bottle you held into the glasses of your guests, and the occasional laughter that erupts from your mother as Bruce tries to make a joke through mouthfuls of paella. A symphony of contentment and comfort, composed and orchestrated by the two most significant individuals in your life. Beauty is made anywhere beautiful people are; in this space, cramped up at the beech wooden table made for one by the casement window that overlooks the apartment across yours.
This side of Bruce—where boyish smiles were manifested and hearty laughs arising from the belly—is the side you miss the most. Years ago, things felt simpler though your past self would deny that notion as human life continues to become more intricate as we grow older and our eyes see more. Innocence to maturity. Happiness to grief. But, the complexity of this warfare between the brain and the heart seems to reside in perpetual darkness, no light at the end of the tunnel. For a long time, you thought deciding to be alone could eventually bring peace to the madness but maybe, you’ve been with the wrong people this whole time. It’s your reflection against the window pane that shows the evident crinkle in your eyes and the constant upward in the curve of your lips even though it contrasts the gloomy hues of blue from the sky at twilight—you’re happy.
It’s the way your mother leans over and wipes off the bits of rice from the corner of your mouth and the exchange of awkward smiles when Bruce accidentally brushes his hand against yours when reaching for the fork. This is what you want. And maybe, just maybe, you deserve to not be alone.
“So, have you decided on who you’re taking to the wedding?”
Your mother’s voice hauls you back from your daydream. She gives you a knowing look, discretely glancing towards Bruce on the other end of the table. She knows you don’t have a date, and you know she wants you to bring Bruce. You feel your anxiety creep back in.
This is weirdly the second time you’re in this situation.
“I don’t know yet...” In times like this, you wonder if your mother wields some sort of magical ability of truth or something because no matter how much you try, you can never lie to her. And now, you wish the ground would collapse and swallow you up. You know she means well, but oh my God, Bruce is staring at you and you don’t know what to do with your hands anymore.
“Wedding?” Bruce chirps with a questioning brow as he glances between you and your mother. Now, you’re forced to explain for the sake of context. “My cousin’s getting married next week and mom here wants me to bring a date.” Your mother’s expression indicates that you’re lying through your teeth. Yet in reality, it’s not technically a lie if you’re leaving parts of reason out of the explanation because it’s true she wants you to bring a date but you don’t mention how you don’t want to go alone because weddings make you sad.
It sounds pathetic.
Bruce just nods, taking a sip of his wine. The fact he’s not saying anything is making you anxious. You thought you didn’t want him to be your date but now, maybe you do. These feelings are messing up your brain. It’s just mush now, and there’s no cure.
These are the times you want to say “Fuck you, Bruce” but in the nicest way possible.
“Why don’t you bring Bruce?”
She was direct as they come but is mostly tired of your lack of initiative and doubt. I mean, it’s not like you’re asking him to marry you, right? And honestly, you’re kind of relieved you didn’t have to be one to do it but you can’t keep depending on her to do all the heavy lifting for you. You’re not a teenager anymore. You’re a goddamn grown adult.
Nevertheless, you peer at his reaction to this from the corner of your eye, fully expecting some sort of a resting jaded expression or eyes wide in horror but he’s just looking at you...with that look—highly bewildered and almost seems to be entertained by your embarrassment. Despite the purse of his lips, you manage to catch sight of the slight impish tuck of his lips.
He thinks it's the wine, but he isn’t exactly sure.
“Yeah, sure. Why not?”
-
“Are you sure about this?” you cross your arms, as you watch Bruce shrug on his coat from the rack. The two of you are squeezed in the entryway of your apartment, huddling in hushed conversation. “About what?” he asks absentmindedly when in reality, he knows exactly what you’re referring to. As much as he doesn’t want to admit it, it’s an excuse to be around you longer. You purse your lips, shifting in your stance, eyes flickering away from his gaze. “About coming to the wedding,” you say it slowly, carefully, like you’re afraid to and you’re not sure why. He nods with the furrow of his brows, tugging his hands into the pockets of his ebony tweed coat. “I’m sure...Unless you don’t want me to come—”
“No, no. God, of course, I want you to come,” you stop, realizing how your sudden outburst of excitement must have made you seem desperate. You clear your throat, feet shifting once more. “I don’t want to pull you off work just because I don’t want to be alone.”
He raises his brows, nearing a little closer to you. “So that’s the real reason?” A hint of a smile—it’s a teasing one. You simply throw a fist to his arm yet unable to stifle your growing smile. “Don’t be a jerk.”
Bruce winces followed by a laugh that comes out more light a puff of air as he bares his palms in a gesture of surrender. “Hey, I didn’t say anything.”
Maybe, it’s the walls of this hallway, covered with hung framed photographs of family, childhood, and friends because it’s starting to feel warm. You think it’s the way his eyes light up when you laugh, radiating a sort of comforting warmth on this cold night. It feels like home. Bruce feels like home. You notice the prominent stain of your mother’s lipstick on his left cheek. You bring one hand to rest on the curve of his cheekbone, thumb trying to efface the smeared stain away.
You’re not sure if it's the smell of his deodorant or the sudden sense of his breath on your skin that made you comprehend the closing gap between your face and his. In an instant, your hand jerks away and returns to your side, clenching to a fist. Bruce clears his throat, bringing a hand up to scratch the growing stubble at his jaw. The touch of your fingers lingers like a burn.
Recognizing the tension in the air, you decide to avert your thoughts back to the conversation you were having in the first place. “You know, you don’t have to come. Really. You’ve done a lot for me, and you know that.”
“Yes...but I’ll always have your back no matter what.”
He smiles at you. The kind that reaches his eyes. He looks younger like this.
“And I’ll always have yours, Bruce.”
You’re an idiot. He’s an idiot. You’re just two idiots, standing in the hallway with hearts that feel like they’re about to explode. Despite the lingering tension in the air that’s still present, you bring him into an embrace. It feels natural, your arms around his shoulder and his on the small of your back. “Thanks for everything. Especially for making my mom really happy.” you punctuate your sentence with a gentle caress to the back where his shoulders meet. You hear the muffled sound of his laugh, feeling the rumble of his chest against yours as you try not to squirm at the brush of his unshaven chin against the curve of your neck. “No problem,” he mumbles before pulling away.
“And you need a shave.” You’re pointing to his chin and he finds himself scratching it again. He merely hums in response.
Swinging the door open while you wave him goodbye feels like a part of you is leaving. You’re not sure why you’re feeling this newly found emptiness in you when you know you’ll see him next week. You decide to blame the wine. It’s easier that way.
He’s walking away, already out of view when you decide you should really say something at least.
“Bruce,” you suddenly call out; he turns on his heels and backtracks a little too eager to face you at the doorway. “What was it you wanted to talk about?” He frowns in response, head tilting in a questioning manner. “When you came here, you said you needed to talk.”
He recalls the real reason he was here in the first place. Rushing to your door like you’re about to disappear any minute. Yet, you’re here, still at the doorway, three hours later. Fuck, he was about to confess.
Bad timing. Again.
Right person, wrong time.
No. He’ll make it right. Just, not now.
“I was...going to thank you for the bagels; Asiago. Nice choice.” Is what he says instead of reciting the words that had been running through his head in rehearsal since the drive to your apartment. He ignores the way your shoulders sag, perhaps in relief—he doesn’t want to know. He ignores the burning in his chest when you nod, the corners of your mouth tugging into a faint smile as you raise a palm in a somewhat solemn wave of farewell. He ignores the sting in his eyes when the door closes on him, symbolizing finality when he really doesn’t want it to end. Left alone in the dismal light of the hallway; it acts as a poignant reminder of his bereavement and how much of his consolation depends on your presence.
When the drinking's done, does it make it any easier for him to open himself up to you?
Bruce allows himself to cry once he pulls the car door to a close because he feels overwhelmed by the conflicting thoughts that continue to reside in his mind. The regrets, the what-ifs, and the should-haves. He forgets himself sometimes because he gets so lost in his thoughts, he doesn’t recognize himself anymore.
You keep him grounded. You remind him who Bruce Wayne truly is.
He catches a glimpse of his reflection in the rearview mirror.
You’re right. He does need a shave.

You and Spencer landed in Las Vegas on Friday. Spencer dragged you around between Saturday and Sunday showing you some places here and there and all of his favorite places.
It was Monday morning and you found yourself putting on too many layers of clothes. You looked out the window and noticed the trees blowing, indicating that it was windy. Even though it was almost March the forecast was between 36 to 40 degrees. You were used to cold weather but after being in warm weather and suddenly finding yourself in a colder environment, it completely messed with your body.
"One steaming cup of coffee for my love," Spencer put the cup down, wrapping his hands around your waist.
"Spence," You groaned. "Why is it so cold?" Spencer snuggled his neck into your shoulder.
"We live in Virginia," He chuckled.
You looked at him through the mirror. "Yeah, so?"
"Virginia is way colder than Vegas."
"Were in Nevada, this is the desert," You say. "It's not supposed to be this cold."
"Baby, the desert is known for the temperatures dropping below freezing."
"Yeah whatever you say genius," You mumbled. "I'm still cold by the way," Spencer moved to his closet and pulled out a long royal blue scarf. He wrapped it nicely around your neck, pulling your hair out watching it loosely fall into your shoulders.
"How about now?" He asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Ohhh," You said, snuggling your chin in the incredibly soft scarf. "Much better."
"Good," He said, kissing your cheek. "Have your coffee and then we'll get going, alright?" You nodded.
You and Spencer have been dating for three years and Spencer told you about the condition of his mother. A couple of months into dating you introduced Spencer to your parents but you never pushed to meet his mother knowing the situation. You know that Spencer would take you to meet her whenever he felt the time was right.
**
Your head was in Spencer's lap, as you both were watching a random movie on TV.
"Can I ask you something?" Spencer suddenly asked, you turned your face towards his.
"Fire away."
Spencer played with your hair, lingering with his thoughts. You reached up for his face. "What's wrong?"
"Would you want to meet my mother?" You were taken back by his sudden question and Spencer took notice, immediately.
It was at times like this that being an FBI profiler, sucked. You and Spencer read each other super quickly. You both promised each other that when you started dating that you would never profile each other but it's easier said than done.
"Why did you ma-"
"No," You sat up quickly and stopped him before he could continue. "I'm just taken back because you asked so suddenly."
"Are you not ready to meet her?" He asked.
"It's not that."
"When what?"
"Spence," You held his hands. "Just because you met my parents, I don't want you to feel that you have to introduce me to your mom. I want you to introduce me whenever you feel ready. I don't care if that takes seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months, or decades. I want to meet her when you feel comfortable. I will never push you."
Spencer pulled you in for a hug, "I love you."
"I love you too," You pulled back.
"Can I tell you something?"
"Yeah."
"I'm comfortable with you meeting my mom."
"Then I'd love to meet the woman who raised you."
**
You and Spencer got to the facility where his mom was, but before opening the door Spencer pulled at your hand, halting your steps towards.
"What's wrong?" You asked, the wind blowing your hair.
"Before we go inside I need to know if you're okay with this?"
"I'm fine."
"I never know what type of day she is having but I always hope for the best Y/N," Spencer says. "I just don't want her to terrify you or say something that might offend you because she can sometimes do that."
"That's not her talking," You spoke. "That's the medications she's on."
"I know," Spencer nodded. "I just hope she's having a good day."
"Well if she is having a bad day, I'm sure it'll turn around once she sees this beautiful face," You said, squishing Spencer's face and he lightly laughed. "Come on, I want to meet the lovely woman you raised such a dorky, intelligent, and handsome man whom I love so much."
You reached up on your tiptoes and gave him a kiss, and you felt him relax. Spencer took a deep breath lacing his hand with yours.
Spencer stepped into the facility first and you followed. There was a woman standing at the door and she greeted Spencer with a wide smile. You flashed the woman your ID and she nodded.
"Spencer I should warn you about your mother's condition before you go in to see her," She said holding her clipboard.
"Dr. D's/N, I already know the condition of my mother." You could feel Spencer tense up beside you.
"There have been rece-"
"If I have any further concerns I will speak to you," Spencer led you down the hall and stopped in front of the beige-colored door. Spencer carefully stepped into the room and you followed. Sitting on a chair near the bed was a woman, who was flipping through, what looked like a scrapbook. She had short blonde hair and was wearing a flannel pajama with a hoodie.
"Hi mom," Spencer said softly, not wanting to startle his mom. She immediately closed the book and moved her chair further back.
"Spencer?" She questioned. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you," He said walking up to her. She flashed him a small smile and hugged Spencer. They stayed hugging each other for a few moments and you couldn't help but stare. Spencer's mom noticed you were staring and pulled back.
"Spencer, who on earth is that? Why is she staring?" She pointed to you.
"Mom," Spencer motioned for you to come closer. "This is Y/N, my girlfriend," You took a step forward.
"No!" She said looking away from you. "Don't come any closer."
"Hey, hey," Spencer said, putting his hands on his mom's shoulders. "It's okay, she's not going to hurt you. She's with me."
You didn't move an inch from your spot. "Ms. Reid, it-"
"Do not say my name from that disgusting mouth of yours!" She yelled at you. "Spencer get her out of here!"
"Mom what are you doing?" Spencer said looking at his mom with concern, helping her sit down. "She's harmless," Spencer looked back at you. "Y/N, come here," You just continued to look at Spencer's mom.
"NO!" She yelled, starting to panic. "She was here all last night! She was watching me through the door! I saw her, Spencer!"
"Mom sh-"
"She tried to kill me last night, she stood by the door all last night!" Spencer's mom threw a flower vase at you, but your quick reflexes were faster as you moved out of the way, watching it shatter into pieces beside you.
"Mom, what are you doing?!" Spencer asked as she continued to throw things at you.
"Spence, it's okay," You finally said. "I'll go, I'll just wait outside. It's okay."
"Y/N, no wait," As Spencer tried to grab your hand Spencer's mom grabbed him by the arm.
"Do not follow that wicked evil woman! She's pure evil. She tried to kill me last night Spencer!”
"Mom Y/N didn't try to kill you last night. She was wit-" He tried to explain.
"Noooooooooo!!!" She yelled. Before you could even leave the room, nurses came rushing it. You decided to give them space and walked out of the facility. You walked outside until you saw a bench.
You sat down waiting for Spencer. The wind had picked up a bit so you put your hands in your pocket and leaned your head towards your knees, looking down at your shoes. It stayed like that for a while until you heard the facility doors open.
"Y/N?" You heard someone call out for you, you stood up and saw Spencer standing on the steps. "Y/N?" He called out to you again.
"Spence!" You waved your hand until he caught your attention. As soon as he noticed you he ran to you as fast as his feet allowed him. He pulled you in for a hug immediately.
"Are you okay?" You ask, rubbing his back and he pulled back.
"I should be asking you that."
"I'm fine," You answer.
You knew Spencer had a lot on his mind, you guided him towards the bench and sat down. Neither of you said anything. You could tell Spencer was building his walls. When he built walls he pushed everyone out, that included; you.
Over the years you were the person Spencer would talk to everything about, you were his person. He shared almost everything with you. You once pushed Spencer to tell you about his family since you knew nothing about them and Spencer refused but you kept pushing and pushing, little did you know that while you pushed Spencer he had silently built up a wall from ever talking about his family.
When Morgan and JJ told you about Spencer's mother, you immediately apologized for pushing. Ever since then you never brought it up.
"Spence, you built up these walls when it comes to your mother and family. I will never understand how you feel," It was true, you would never know how he feels on a daily basis about his family but you always try to be there for him. "I know it's difficult for you to talk about it with people but you can't block me out. You have to let me in."
Spencer laid his head on your shoulder, not saying anything but letting you know he heard you.
"I'm so sorry," Spencer finally spoke up.
"No," You said. "Don't you dare apologize to me."
"I didn't know she was having a bad day or that she would say those things to you. If I had known I would have never brought you here to meet her."
"Spence there is no way you could have known that she was having a bad day."
"She's been confused when she meets new people but she's never thrown flower vases at them. I don't why she started to act that way. And the things she said to you," Spencer stopped to look at you.
"I didn't take any offense to her words Spencer," You say, quietly. "We've had unsubs say shitter things to us and we're still here." You laughed.
"I just didn't want her hurting you."
"She didn't." You knew that no more how much you assured Spencer he'd still feel bad. "Babe you can't control whether she has good or bad days."
You could tell Spencer was drowning in his thoughts.
"We can always try again," You said, his head still on your shoulder.
"You might not have a next time," Spencer slowly said. You moved and Spencer lifted his head, looking down at his hands.
"What do you mean?" Your heart started racing at his words.
"The doctors said that her condition is getting worse. She's been more paranoid and acting out, as they say. They want to put her in another clinical trial but I know that she won't agree. She'll shut me out as soon as I even mention it. I had to pull her out of her last one," Spencer says. "I want to help her but I just don't know how Y/N," You moved and saw Spencer crying.
You pulled him in for another hug, "I know you're not going to believe me when I say this but you are doing things for her. You write a letter and call her every day, you try to fly out whenever we're not on a case. You've been doing these things for so long that you probably didn't even realize that these are the ways you’re helping her."
"Sometimes I wish I could take her home so that she wouldn't forget me," Spencer lets a few more tears fall. "I don-don't want her to forget me. I woul-wouldn't know what to do with myself," He sniffled.
"Love," You wipe his tears and he kisses your hand. "She won't forget you. She may forget everything and anything else but please believe me when I say she is never going to forget you. You’re her son, a mother just doesn’t forget her children.” Your own words stabbed at your heart because there was so much history behind them but your story was for another day.
Spencer nods, wiping his eyes. “How was she doing after I left?"
"They gave her a sedative to calm her down," He replied. "Thank you."
"For what?"
"For being so understanding. I don't know what I'd do without you."
"I don't know either," You say, shivering. "Would you happen to know any coffee shops around here? Your girlfriend is in need of a good cup of coffee and maybe one raspberry muffin."
Spencer helped you up and wrapped the scarf around your neck tighter, "I might just know the best place," Spencer and you walked hand in hand as he guided you to his favorite coffee shop. He looked over at you and smirked. "Just one muffin?" He asked and you shook your head.
"Okay okay, you got me, two maybe three," You replied as he laughed.
"You know after we grab our coffee and you're still feeling cold I could think of another way to warm you up," Spencer whispered in your ear.
You playfully hit his shoulder. "Spencer Reid!" He threw his head back in a laugh.
You reached the coffee shop, found a table, ordered your coffees which came after a couple of minutes along with your raspberry muffin and Spencer's buttery croissant.
"Can you promise me something?" You asked, grabbing his free hand.
"Yeah.”
"I know it'll be difficult for you but when things start to get tough I'm going to need you to let me in, promise?" He put his hand on yours and with the most adorable face he said;
"I promise when things get difficult I will let you in."
