We finally made it to the end of 2023!
What a wild year, huh? I got to try so many new things this time around! This blog... a shift in living situation... a career change... and many others. It's honestly been really exciting!
And among them...
Well, it's not actually my first time trying, but it has been a LONG time since I've tried learning how to animate again, and while this gif isn't anything big and flashy, I'm hoping it'll be a start to learn it a little more :]
So stay warm out there and see you next year on the next update!
#dynart#rachel#castle of nations#disclaimer: this does NOT mean I'll be making full-blown animations for this blog#the most you'll ever see from me are small looping gifs like this one#the comics already take a lot to make and I'm not hoping to run this blog for the next 10 years lmao#but that aside#I'm a little sad about how this gif came out#it has the idea down but it's not exactly how I envisioned it in my head :(#I think if i had more time to work on it#I wouldve been able to get closer#but alas u_u#thanks for reading!#all#blog

can I ask for a Sidon x reader where the reader is from our world and still has a phone? Just something cute about reader teaching Sidon how a phone works and maybe Sidon comforting reader when she feels homesick
So this is the first time I've ever made a request so if it's stupid please ignore
What an interesting idea! I'd love to write this! I'll be writing in a headcanon format! This one is mainly just silly, I hope it's okay! ^^
The Power of Technology - Sidon X Reader
Sidon is immediately fascinated when you show him your weird glowing brick that looks like a sheikah slate, or how else would he put it... a Purah Pad? He knows that Link has one too. You try to explain that it is a "phone" and only you have one. Sidon just goes along with it because he has no idea how new technology works, but he'll try to understand!
He's amazed how you have everything by the power of your finger tip on such a small device. Despite not having any service or internet in their world, Sidon thinks that your phone is something out of a sci-fi child story.
When your phone dies for the first time and he learns that they need to be charged by electricity, he suggests that you leave your phone outside during a thunderstorm so it could "charge".
Once Sidon learns how to use your phone, the man immediately loves watching silly videos you had saved on your phone before you came to Hyrule. He will 100% watch the same video on loop for hours on end.
"Wow! Such wonderful art! It's like real life!" Sidon would exclaim looking in your camera roll. You would have to explain that these are "photos" not drawings. Sidon didn't believe you at first.
Oh... You poor thing... Now that Sidon has discovered the magic of the camera on your phone, he will sneak your phone and take hundreds of pictures, half of them being himself with his silly cheeky smile. You'll wake up to a message on your phone about your storage being "full", you'll know why.
You'll both scroll through your phone's camera roll together. Sidon will see ones of you back in your world and will have so many questions. Looking back on these photos will make you emotional, as much as you love Hyrule and Sidon, you do get homesick.
When you're homesick, Sidon will grab your phone out of your hand and take a silly picture of himself and change your wallpaper to himself. "Look my love! You can now look at me whenever you open your phone!" He would say with a silly grin. The photo would be taken at the worst angle, yet it would make you laugh, making you feel better.
You have a mix of different songs saved on your phone but Sidon had decided that he liked a certain band the most. In the early hours of the morning, you'll hear him softly sing to himself "Weeeee are the champions!!" Low and Behold... The band was Queen.
He 100% listens to the same song on loop, and he'll NEVER get tired of that song. "It's a catchy song! How could you NOT want to sing it?"
When you are on your phone at night, he's shocked at just how bright it is. "What is that thing even made of??"
Both of you will cuddle at night sometimes watching a movie or two. You only have a few, Sidon doesn't mind rewatching. He finds it amazing how you can record life on it and then watch it on such a tiny screen.

And They Were Roommates- Epilogue
Bucky Barnes x Original Female Character
Series Masterlist
Five Years Later
Olivia's POV
"Congratulations, Mrs. Wilson," I whispered with a cheeky wink as I leaned in to give Natasha a hug.
"Thank you, Mrs. Barnes," she responded in kind, returning the wink. Natasha and Sam had finally gotten married, the last of our friend group couples to do so. Tony had been joking that all we needed was to find Steve someone and we'd be all set, this was after he joked about having to buy wedding gifts for Wanda's wedding, that took place just a few weeks before mine and Bucky's. The emerald green of my bridesmaid dressed flowed as I turned to give Sam a hug, congratulating him and making sure he understood what I'd do to him if he ever hurt Natasha, winning me an eye roll.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah you're real intimidating Mill- Barnes. Damn it. Two years later and it's still real weird calling you that," Sam joked, "speaking of, where is the bigshot Best Man Number 1? He's gonna miss his speech, and I know he'll be crying to you if Steve upstages him."
"Relax, Sam. He's just talking to Tony. I'll go break them up, those two never know how to leave work at work," I spoke softly, giving Sam's forearm a pat before heading towards the Stark family. Pepper was holding their six month old daughter Morgan as she tried to avoid listening to Bucky and Tony talking about work. I sidled up to Bucky, looping my arm through his, and interrupted, "Sorry to interrupt boys, well not exactly, but Mr. Barnes here has a Best Man speech to make in approximately five minutes before either Mr. Wilson drags him to the dance floor by his ear, or Mr. Rogers roasts him to infinity and beyond for his slacking Best Manliness."
"Oh well thank you, Mrs. Barnes for reminding me," Bucky responded lightly, a grin playing on his lips as he leant down to press a kiss on mine.
"Yuck, you kids and your sappiness. Just get you one of these, you'll be so sleep deprived you'll forget what sappy looks like," Tony joked as he pointed to Morgan, Pepper cutting eyes at him playfully. Ever since Pepper had announced her pregnancy Tony had been over the moon. As a dad? He knew he'd catch a star for Morgan if she so much as asked. Tony Stark was wrapped around that little finger.
"Hey my love, what was that?" Bucky asked looking to his left, trying to attract my attention so he could give Tony the finger, I rolled my eyes at their playfulness.
"That doesn't work on me, babe. Now shoo," I said, giving Bucky's butt a swat as he chuckled, walking towards the dance floor just in time for the DJ to call his name for his speech. I settled in next to Pepper as she said something to Morgan, something about Tony being an idiot, and leaned in to coo over the infant. She had Tony's eyes, Tony's hair, hell she was a mini Tony through and through, with Pep's attitude of course.
"You wanna actually get something to eat, Pep? I can hold the lil monster," I asked, noticing that Pepper hadn't touched any of the food in front of here, despite it being served only a few minutes prior. I knew that she wouldn't turn down the chance to eat a hot meal as she handed Morgan over to my awaiting arms.
"Hi Morguna, Auntie Livvie loves you so much yes she does," I whispered, stroking the infant's brown hair and rocking her slowly. I heard clapping, most likely signaling the end of Bucky's speech but my attention was 100% locked on the little girl in my arms.
A low whistle sounded from behind me, "Watch out there, Buck. She'll be begging you for one if you're not careful," Tony joked from behind me, making me finally look up to see Bucky standing in front of me. His eyes were soft, fuck his whole expression was soft. He had this dopey look in his eyes and his lips had a small grin playing on them. When our eyes locked, there were no words that needed to be said.
The rest of the night passed uneventfully. Sam tried to get Natasha to agree to let him host a karaoke competition as the night dwindled and that was my cue to leave. As Bucky and I got back in the car to head to our apartment, I tilted my head and asked, "Bucky...let's have a baby, yeah?"
His head whipped towards me, the grin on his face turning into a full smile as he responded, "I thought you'd never ask, sweetheart."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
8 months later
Turns out, I didn't even need to ask. A week after Natasha and Sam's wedding, I woke up with what I thought was a horrible stomach bug, as cliche as it sounds. That stomach bug turned out to be our son. The second I told Bucky I was pregnant his eyes got so wide, I swear I thought he was going to pass out. We set up my doctor's appointment as soon as I could get one and well, 8 months later here we are.
"JAMES FUCKING BARNES I SWEAR TO WHATEVER GOD OR DEVIL IS LISTENING IF YOU SO MUCH AS LOOK IN MY DIRECTION ROMANTICALLY OR SEXUALLY EVER AGAIN I WILL CASTRATE YOU," I yelled as I tried to focus on push, Bucky's face paling in the process, whether it was because of what I was saying or how tight I was gripping his hand I have no clue.
He moved his other hand up to brush the hair off my face as I finished the push, breathing heavily and unconsciously leaning into his hand. "That's it, baby. You're doing great, mama, but doc is saying you gotta do one more push and then you can take a break. Come on, Livvie baby, one more push," he whispered softly.
"DAMN IT BUCKY WHY CAN"T YOU DO THIS," I whined into the push making Bucky laugh in response.
"Believe me baby, if I could sw-," he started, only to be interrupted by me saying,, "So help me Buck if you're about to say you'd switch places with me, just stop because I know it's a lie. Nobody willingly wants to go through this."
"Alright, Olivia. He's close. I think if you give me one more big push, we'll have his head!" the doctor stated, my nerves returning as I realized just how close we were to having a baby. "Alright, Mrs. Barnes, push now!" I took a deep breath and pushed as hard as I could.
"FUCK FUCK FUCK WHY DID I SAY NO TO AN EPIDURAL!"
The doctor and nurses said a few more things as I finished pushing and next thing I know it's like all the pressure had disappeared. Within seconds I heard a sputtering cry and my head whipped to look at Bucky, tears forming in both our eyes as the doctor placed our baby on my chest and announced, "Congratulations, Olivia and Bucky, meet your son."
Bucky and I both started crying as I held our baby close to me. Bucky leaned in for a deep kiss and through the kiss he whispered on my lips, "I love you so much. You are so fucking strong, so goddamn beautiful. I'm so lucky you're my wife and the mother of my child. Thank you, Liv. Man I fucking love you." His declarations only making me cry more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bucky's POV
As they took our son to get cleaned up and measured, I followed them to watch in awe of the miracle that Olivia had delivered us. Tears seemed to be never ending, it's like I couldn't stop crying as I watched the nurses and doctor fuss over him.
There on the bassinet, all seven pounds and nineteen inches, laid our son. Our Grant Thomas Barnes. Named for the two men who brought Olivia Sage Miller Barnes into my life. The two pains in my ass who made sure that I married that woman who just happened to be in Sam's World Archaeology class. The two smuggest bastards in the universe now have a kid named after them, how we were going to ever deal with them now was beyond me.
A nurse came up to me, Grant wrapped up in a blanket in their arms, and held him out to me, "Wanna hold him, dad?" I nodded my head as fast as I could and held my arms out, making sure to support his head, and began walking over to Olivia. Her eyes brightened as she saw the two of us approach, a weak smile growing on her face.
"Hey, daddy," she whispered with a wink, causing a blush to rise to my cheeks and her to roll her eyes at my reaction. "Hey, mama," I responded in kind, causing a shy smile to appear on her face.
"Hi Grant, my sweet boy. I'm your mama, and this handsome man holding you is your daddy. We're so happy you're here now, little man," Olivia cooed as she reached out to touch him. All I could do was watch her. Here. With our son. Our little family grew almost instantaneously. We've come a long way from the dumb, pining idiots we once were.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
THE END

Let the Stars Witness
Okay okay holy— omg I did it! My first request and from an admired writer of mine no less!
From @kim-monsterlings : Hi and welcome!! Really looking forward to seeing your work! ~ If you would, could I request some form of friends to lovers with an orc? (Prompts maybe like, "you deserve better.") Thank you! <3
Since it wasn't specified on what their genders are, I hope your okay with what I went with! And I kinda trailed off from the prompt (or rather it's different but similar)
Anyways you'll know when you read!
•
Pairing: Male Orc (Duruk) x Human Fem!Reader
Word count: 2.2k
Warnings: None.
•
"You know, I never thought I would be friends with anyone here, especially with someone other than my, well, species," you tell your companion, your eyes not leaving the cloudless night sky as you lied on your back on the roof of his house. The stars were out tonight.
If you told your younger self that you'd be having great escapades (if running away and getting into a series of trouble fall under that) with an orc, you would most definitely cry your eyes out because you thought were being teased, taking it as a hurtful comment. You were sensitive like that. Part of the reason why no one would even go near you, afraid they might hurt you with a pat on the shoulder or with one word alone. You became the prime target of bullies, finding twisted amusement at your pathetic reactions. A crybaby, they called you. But it wasn't your fault you didn't have much control over your emotions. You were weird, asocial, timid, maybe even depressed. Having a neglectful family didn't help either, it just worsened.
•
The morning you met Duruk was after the orientation. And it was not so good for a first impression.
Long story short, you cried.
But since you're perhaps curious as to what happened exactly, let's elaborate.
You had your headphones on, the melodic sound of gentle rain played in a 3-hour loop and blocked out other noises, your eyes glued to the path you were on. You took long and hurried steps, wishing you could teleport to your classroom and hide in the back, disappear or become invisible.
You were distracted, or should we say, focused on the ground and expecting everyone to step aside and let you through.
Well, except for the one who had his back on you.
You crashed—not an exaggeration— into something- someone massive. You stumbled back and landed on your bum, wincing from the impact. Luckily, your headphones were safe (ah yes, priorities), detaching from your ears and landing on your shoulders. When you looked up to see who it was, you thought your eyes were gonna fall off, grow little legs, and scamper away.
Before you stood an orc, halfway turned to glance at whoever it was that tried to push him, his sharp tusks jutting out from his maw. His brows were furrowed as he looked down on you. Sure, he wasn't as tall as the orcs you've seen around the city and campus but still was over 6 feet, with muscles thicker than your thighs, easily hulking you.
You tried to get out an apology and run as far as you could go, but you just sat there, frozen as you strained your neck to meet his gaze, you couldn't look away. Your heart was trying to claw its way out into the surface.
Then you felt the tears swell up.
They cascaded down your face before you even could stop them.
The orc's eyes widened at your reaction and crouched down to your level in an instant that he almost fell over. His hands hovered, not sure what to do.
"Hey, hey, please don't cry. Please don't—"
"I-I-I'm re..really s-sorry p-please don't hurt m-me..." You managed to choke out pathetically, hiccuping in every word.
"Shhh now hey, it's okay. It was an accident— what? No! Why would I do that?" he replied. The orc peeked over his shoulder and to the sides. "Let's get you to somewhere, uh, less crowded," he added. You turned your head and saw that you had an audience, whispers went around as they sent pitiful and disgusted glances in your direction, only making you cry even more.
He proceeded to unceremoniously lift you into his arms, bridal style, and dashed away. You gripped the front of his shirt and shut your eyes. You were trembling now, scared of what he might do to you. How could you even fight back with your small stature?
It wasn't long until you felt him slow down and placed you carefully on a bench. The orc knelt in front of you, brows scrunched up as he studied your face.
"You okay? I didn't hurt you, did I?"
You didn't reply, only staring at him through your glassy eyes as you heaved.
You flinched when his hand started rubbing your back, his other hand placed on the side of the bench to balance himself.
He continued to caress your back and murmured soothing words in hopes of calming you down.
Your tears didn't stop falling until moments later when you came down from your initial fear, the warmth of his palm leaving your back once you did. All the while the orc remained where he was, at a loss of what to do next.
You rubbed your sticky face with the collar of your pale and blotchy crimson sweater, sniffing and taking slow, deep breaths before you spoke.
"I... I'm sorry for causing you trouble. E-Even going as far as to take me somewhere quiet. I...appreciate that." You thought you'd pass out with the way people gathered around you, it was suffocating. "Thank you..."
"I panicked," he started, "Sorry—I mean, it's okay, you didn't do anything wrong. I get that a lot of people run away from the sight of me, but you didn't, and just froze there on the ground so..." he shrugged and rubbed the back of his neck.
You shook your head. He was such an imposing figure to many, their first thought was most likely to get away or scream at him.
"You looked angry... When I bumped into you." You slammed into him actually, but he didn't budge an inch. Guess it was one-sided.
"Oh, that? Well, my brother scolds me a lot for having such a grumpy face, scaring humans away. Like he was the one to talk when he's taller and bigger than me! People would faint on the spot when they see him, I bet!"
The image your mind conjured up tore a laugh out of your body, two orcs arguing about how not to terrify people at sight was damn hilarious. When was the last time someone made you laugh like this?
The orc grinned, your reaction a contrast to that of earlier.
You opened your mouth to say something but the ringing of the great bell resounded, cutting you off. The two of you stood up as you realized you were late for your first class of the school year.
"So, uh, what now?" you asked.
"How about we go to our class, then maybe meet up later? Oh, fu— my mother will gut me— I haven't introduced myself!" He blurted out, his voice making you yelp with the sudden outburst.
Clearing his throat, he reached out, "I'm Duruk."
In turn, you gave him your name, taking his hand and smiled. "Hello, Duruk."
•
True to his word, you met again later when lunch came. The cafeteria was packed so you settled on getting the convenience food they offered and eat somewhere quiet.
Your conversation that day spiraled when you found out the two of you had a lot in common. From your favorite rock band to your favorite flavor of ice cream.
You both strongly agreed that vanilla ice cream was superior.
You agreed to meet up during breaks, always having something to chat about.
Eventually, you became inseparable.
He even changed and transferred to your class just so the two of you could be together at the start of the day rather than walk half of the campus to see each other every time.
You became best friends, sharing each moment in school, may it be helping the other stay awake in a boring class, or copying homework when one of you forgot to do it. Soon enough, Duruk started inviting you to his house to hang out. He did mention he had four other siblings, but he lived alone. You came by almost every night and on whole weekends to escape from home, only a few miles in between. No one would notice you gone anyways, but you returned around midnight, not wanting to impose on Duruk no matter what he says, so he walks you back instead.
You basked in each other's company. The odd and scrutinizing glares didn't go unnoticed when you two were together, but you shrugged them all off.
It didn't take long before you started having feelings for the orc, a little wishful thinking that you could be more than friends. You noted lately that his touches would linger seconds longer than usual, hugs and even a hand on your shoulder and back seem to be warmer and —you dare say— affectionate. It weighed heavily on your heart, your simple crush turned into something else, and it only grew with each passing day, and every laugh you shared.
But of course, you swatted those away, buried them deep inside every damn time they climb back up. Who could even love you? Yes, you have Duruk, he likes you, you think. But that's the end of it. Just close buddies. You can't take the risk of ruining your friendship with him and make things awkward with the only one you had! What if he stops talking to you, weirded out by your confession? You don't want to go back to being alone again, your heart can't take the rejection that came with it.
So you endured.
•
A little over five months ever since the embarrassing accident, here you are now, stargazing with your best friend.
"Well, good thing you didn't watch where you were going that time then," he says, chuckling beside you. His hands cushioned his head against the hard surface. "I wouldn't have..." he trails off.
"Hm, what?" you ask. Duruk went silent and didn't answer you for a time. You were about to let it slide but then he breathes in audibly.
"I wouldn't have met an angel if you did. Should've caught you in my arms, but sadly I didn't move fast enough." He replies, his voice deep and mellow.
You straighten up and turn to face him, your brows shot up, incredulous to what he just implied.
"W-Wait. What?" you squeak, your heart thumping hard in your chest, your skin warming up even in the chilled night air.
Is he—
"You're so cute, y'know that? Fuck it, it's all or nothing," he whispers under his breath as he sits up to face you. His expression was unreadable, but you see in his mahogany eyes a familiar glint of determination. "I'm not good with long-ass speeches so I'll make this short," he breathes in before he continues, "I feel something for you, for a while now, more than a best friend does, like...in a romantic sense. I want to cherish you and hold you in my arms every time I see you, I- ah fuck- damn it I just—" he growls, "I love you, so much and if you don't love me back then please re—"
You shut him off with your lips against his, Duruk's tusks pressing against your cheeks as you held his face in your hands. He was stunned for two solid seconds before returning the kiss, his arms snaking around your waist and pulling you close and into his lap.
You feel something wet roll down your hand and you immediately jerked back to see his face. The orc was crying.
Did you do it wrong? Were you so terrible at it—
"I don't deserve you... A monster like me doesn't deserve an angel like you."
Where was this coming from??
"Say that again, I dare you."
"I don't de—"
This idiot!
You pecked his lips to cut him off.
"You big dummy," you begin, "I love you too, idiot. You may be a monster but not what everyone else defines you as. I love you as you are. You're my best friend, and dare I say my l-lover now. Is that right...?"
Duruk gives you a small, gentle smile, "If you'll have me, then yes, for as long as you want me to be." He says, sniffling a sob as a couple more tears tumbled down his rugged face.
You never thought you'd see him like this. He was the one who kept making you laugh with his stories and terrible jokes. Before you, in your hands was someone vulnerable, his eyes soft and fond as he gazed into yours.
It made your heart pound and it hurt.
You leaned in and he met you halfway, kissing once again, deeper and more intimate this time. Real. You brought your arms around his neck, your tears spilling out and he tightened his grip around you. It felt like a dream, too good to be true, but the way he hugged you like you were the only thing that anchored him in this world made you believe it wasn't. All of this was real and you couldn't be anymore happier.
From above, the glittering stars, the light gentle as they shone, bear witness to two freed hearts, bottled up feelings gushing out like a broken dam as you embraced one another and lost yourselves in the moment of bliss, cheeks stained and clothes lightly damp from the tiny rivulets of liquid that dropped down.
It's a lovely night, isn't it?

| happy [ late ] new years to one and all <3.
| here's some Levi angst.
| word count; 1,684
I'm coming home.
" Promise me to stay alive? "
" I always do, runt. You better promise me. "
" I promise. "
Not all promises were made to be kept, either from the fact that they're broken almost instantly. Or they can't be kept at all, just empty words being said to fill the dead air created from the promise being said.
Words that people take so seriously, as if they'd truly mean something. They're supposed to mean something, right? Supposed to mean the world to the people who created this. End it off with pinkies interlocking, like a kid friendly way of signing off a piece of your soul.
A piece that you'll never get back. Discarded along with the broken seal, like as if finding a product in a store open. Needs to be thrown out.
I'm coming home.
" This expedition might get us even further in taking back for humanity. "
" Don't get your hopes up, just focus on coming back alive. . .please. "
" I promised, didn't I? "
You did, you promised Levi Ackerman an entire world in that one small and simple line.
But that universe didn't hold up for long, it collapsed along with the small space of an open heart he had. This expedition was supposed to be clean and simple, Erwin said. It was supposed to run flawlessly, as he's promised time and time again. But failed to keep, this entire mission wasn't supposed to end this way. His new formation was supposed to have fewer casualties, little to no accidents should everyone follow pursuit.
This time, that wasn't the case. The case that had opened and started it's cruel trial was the one happening here and now.
The weight of it feeling like a star going supernova inside his heart. Though since that pressure was trapped inside so tightly, there was no way for it to be let out. The captain shut down, his mind going blank and his eyes looking vacant as he drunk in the news.
Tell the world I'm coming home.
" They. . .were caught in the hands of a titan, sir. "
You weren't alive, not here to keep your end of the promise as he did with his. Not here to tell Levi that it was a mistake, they mistook you for someone else. That wasn't the ordeal, as much as he wished it was. All in his mind, playing on loop over and over was a silly little promise made before this. Of course it wouldn't have been kept, not in a world like this. A world where humanity is now at the bottom of the food chain, cornered like wounded animals.
The captain of the Survey Corps dared not to let his heart leap out of his chest. The man dared not to shed a single tear in front of his comrades. This was the norm, he'd had to chant to himself like a prayer on a broken record over and over for the silver lining to not shine through. Hold it back all the way until he was behind closed doors, locked so tight that letting it all out wouldn't be a problem. So that his regiment could probably see, that even their captain was at this game long enough to realize not every little thing was going to last.
A captain in front of everyone else, a human with emotions while being alone. That's how he wanted to treat this, tricking himself into thinking that's how he needed to treat this.
Should he have looked on that cart, pulling the fallen soldiers back to the safety of the walls. Levi knew he would have let that dam overflow with the sounds of a heart aching lover.
This expedition became the very reason why he loathed titans more. Becoming the very reason why, he started having doubts in his Commander.
I know my kingdom awaits.
The freshly dug hole waited for you alright back in Wall Rose. Somewhere maybe just outside the Krolva district, they called this place The Scouts Yard.
How this one patch of land that could have been used for anything else, soon started becoming overtaken by the bodies of his fallen companions from their ongoing war.
Now it houses your body.
The weather of the day was a stark contrast of his mood, the sun was shining with a few small thin clouds in the sky. A pity really, he thought that whatever God was out there might knew how to read a room. Levi slowly got down onto his knees to read the words on the new tombstone.
Here lies; Y/N L/N.
The ravenette couldn't bring himself to read the rest, already biting down his tongue to distract himself from the stinging of tears in his eyes. Hands clenched into fists at his side, his nails threatening to dig into his skin and draw blood. The dirt that was gathering at the knees of his uniform was going unnoticed.
' You promised me, idiot! How could you break it!? '
That broken promise lead you into a new world, a world of dirt under the earth. Was it like the hellhole he escaped from? Or was it better than the underground life? Except, there was no stairway fee. It was like your citizenship of this messed up surface world was revoked. Tarnished. Never to be used anymore. Torn away as if it were a fake and the MP's of that world came to collect you.
The grey orbs of the Ackerman were starting to itch and pulse with the amount of restraint he was using to not let himself cry. Levi's breathing changed into one of a heavy, and broken up pattern.
All he could think about was not here, not where people could see him at his weakest. Not at his lowest.
A hand being placed on his shoulder brought him out of his trance. Looking up, he saw none other than the man he promised himself to follow.
That's funny, huh? How he promised you he'd stay alive if you did, and how he promised himself to follow after your murderer. Every. Step. Of. The. Way. His life he placed in Erwin's hands, the same hands that weren't big enough to take your life into consideration. His own captain snapped at him, pushing his hand away harshly. Grey hues glaring ever so harshly at what seemed to be confused blue orbs.
Levi stood up to his full height, giving Erwin the greatest stare down of his existence. The commander taking a step back to retaliate, as if he were the victim.
" Levi- "
" This. Is your fault. "
Levi left Erwin with that, not catching how the commander suddenly got the hint, staring down at your grave.
And they've forgiven my mistakes.
Was it a mistake, to have broken a promise in this cruel and fucked up world? Was it really? You could catch Levi pacing the shared room with this thought in mind.
His side of the room was a complete and total mess. Just like his office, papers everywhere, wooden chair pieces scattered over his floor. Yet, should any piece debris get over to your side, Levi is cleaning it like a mad man. Leaving everything the way you had it before, hoping to preserve what he could of your memory.
Thinking it would bring a sense of calm to his nerves. All it brought uneasiness, abandonment, and a whole battalion of negative emotions that started attacking and swirling inside him. He almost questioned if this was how titans felt when their ends were coming to a near. A silly question, one used to try and distract himself. Not like it was helping in any shape or form, just made him feel worse. Useless even.
' Did I even say ' I love you enough ' ? Did I show them that I cared? Did I do enough before their time came!? '
A sob left him, loud and clear as day. Almost turning into another moment of pure wails and tears. The man was pretty sure he showed enough emotion, even when he tried and didn't really know how. Tried his best not to be closed off and buried in his work twenty-four/seven. He felt like screaming and sobbing this time. Was he even enough for you before death? If he wasn't so tired and dehydrated from doing the said act maybe about twenty minutes prior, Levi would have let the entirety of Wall Rose know his pain.
Eyes bloodshot from the onslaught attack of tears that kept pouring over from his once shining metallic eyes. How many cups of tea had he had? That somehow didn't end up as glass shards beneath his boots. For once, the mess didn't bother him, his promise to stay clean was broken. Just like almost everything else. One promise he made out of this shit, was to kill each and every titan. Then show Erwin that they're human, not just soldiers waiting to throw away their lives for bastard nobles.
Those were promises he couldn't break. Along with not forgetting you, a bittersweet reminder on how everyone precious leaves his life one way or another. No amount of rain in the world could wash away that pain.
Here now sat the Scouts' captain, sitting up against a heavy locked wooden door, holding what was your cloak from the expedition. Levi couldn't bring himself to clean it, the red of your blood, or maybe someone else's stained and clashed with the green. Making it a murky, dark, and odd color, Levi clutched it to his chest. His stray fallen tears turning the fabric a darker shade of its color.
" I promise you, brat. . .I'll be coming back home alive. "
Not all promises could be kept, just words to fill the dead silent air that was created. Reminders that it could always be broken in the least expected amount of time, in the most hurtful way. A stupid way to sign off a piece of your soul and hope for the better.
Tell the world that I'm coming home.
Levi Ackerman, was now no stranger to it.

The Word Of Your Body Duet (Roland x Rin Davies)
Andante, Andante
Word Count: 2500
Warnings: angst, bit of fluff mixed in with smut, one outdated word,
A/N: Everyone has their secrets, but sometimes we need someone to share them with. Roland just chooses his last night to let Rin in on his. This is a follow-up to Songbird
Roland sat on the edge of Rin's bed while she paced back and forth anxiously in front of him. Since he came over earlier in the evening, they only managed to kiss until their lips swelled. Rin had taken her gloves off, but refused to touch Roland anywhere with bare skin.
“I don't understand. You said I do nothing to ye?”
“You-you don't,” Rin stuttered. “At least not normally. This isn’t normal, Roland. We've known each other for over a year, and until yesterday neither of us have given any inkling that we are attracted to each other. I mean who wouldn't be attracted to you? Look at you, you're terribly handsome.”
Roland cocked an eyebrow, “Handsome in a terrible way. I'll admit t’the terrible part. I can be a bit..”
“Of a twat?”
“Much. It's the handsome part I don't know I’d agree with. There's not exactly a line around the block.”
“I just don't like surprises. I've had things happen.. To me. I can't take that again.”
Roland reached out and hooked his fingers in the belt loops of Rin’s jeans. He drew her down into his lap, his arms held her in place.
“First you’re giving me motion sickness watching all that back and forth. Second will ye just bloody touch me?! Anywhere, you'll see something I've never told anyone at this school. Not that I have friends besides you.”
Rin’s heart fell. That really couldn't be the truth? Roland wasn't all that bad, he was just a little.. blunt. Not that she had friends, present company aside. It was difficult for Rin to get close with anyone in case their true personalities showed through. She had a knack for telling people their feelings before they were even ready.
“What if I don't like what I see?”
“It's nothing that salacious. Just a wee bit I suppose,” there was a shrug in his shoulder. “If ye don't like it, ye never have t’see me again.”
“Why do you keep saying that like another semester won't roll around?”
“I'm moving to Perth,” he said matter of fact.
“AUSTRALIA?!” Rin was gobsmacked.
“Jupiter!” Roland gave a mock surprised face that teased the girl on his lap.
Rin shoved Roland somewhere between serious and playful. “Oh don't be a bastard!”
“I can't be one! My parents were married!” his brows furrowed in fake consternation. “As far as I know at least?” He stroked his chin in deep thought.
“Can you ever talk without sarcasm or snark?!”
“I'm like Tinkerbell, but I must be acerbic to live!”
Rin’s eyes nearly rolled back in her head. The banter was so natural between them. In that weird way you never notice how much you want or need someone until they won't be there tomorrow. She became instantly pained. Rin had never felt as at-ease with anyone, sharing her secrets and her songs as openly as she did with Roland.
Now her voice was soft and sad, “What's in Oz you can't find here?”
“They offered me a place at their sister conservancy. I've got family over there too. What's left of them.”
Roland nudged his nose against Rin’s. He nuzzled downwards and along her cheek. Taking a chance in kissing her once more where his nose had been. He let his lips linger on her skin, so she knew he would be an open book if she wanted. Even if it was just a day or so before he left her.
Rin draped her arms around Roland’s shoulders before kissing him again. There was a heat, that taste of smoke. Of trailers and RVs all parked together around campfires and music. Then a spice of peppers as his tongue overpowered hers. His kisses taste like Travellers, once called Gypsy.
Roland’s mouth was hungry for her as he awkwardly reached for the hem of her shirt. Desperate to feel Rin, she could tell. All of her. There was nothing sinister about his intentions. Just fiddles and drums and whiskey.
In a blur of laughter and limbs, Rin and Roland clambered to their feet to strip down to their underwear. She flattened her scarred hands on his chest. For someone who could see into someone's mind or emotions, how did Rin miss his olive skin? Those subtle differences that would've given him such grief if others knew.
Rin said it out loud in the sudden quiet. only Roland’s wild heartbeat under her fingers and heavy breath that builds. “You're a gypsy.”
Her eyes focused on his body. An ache between her thighs as she glanced down at the erection inside of his boxers. He wasn't embarrassed. In fact, he was quite confident for Roland at this moment.
Roland’s hands were in Rin’s hair. Entangled so that they tugged her head upwards with a pleasurable pain. She was forced to meet his eyes as he leaned down to mesh his mouth with hers again. His tongue darted in swiftly before she reciprocated. He let his hands stray down over her body to the hook of her bra where he fumbled but only briefly before it came free.
“Not anymore,” Roland’s voice thick.
“I'm sorry. Traveller?” Rin was apologetic.
Her hips involuntarily pushed into his as she lightly brushed her fingers down his body. They traced around his waist to the small of his back. That dip just above the band of his boxers.
“No, I mean I'm not a Traveller or a gypsy anymore. Best assimilate with the other gorja. Being “normal” has made everything easier.”
There was a sadness now in Roland's flesh. It flowed just underneath the surface as Rin embraced him. Her experience with tents and churches and people “speaking in tongues” as her parents forced her to perform “miracles” on blind faith punters bubbled over her surface and spread to Roland’s.
“Wren. It wasn't like that. I'm sad because I miss them. I'm ashamed of turning my back on the people who raised me. That's where I fell in love with music. C’mon you’re ruining our last night!”
Roland let go and laid on the bed with his back to the wall. He propped himself up on his elbow and tapped the bed a few times. “Let me take care of you?” An eyebrow arched suggestively.
“You know what you're doing?”
Still, Rin laid down beside Roland on her back. He bent forward with a hand on her neck and pecked her lips softly. Once. Twice, before she opened her mouth and welcomed his tongue. They mingled and danced with each other as Rin slipped her hand inside the fly of Roland’s boxers so she could trace her fingers along his erection.
There was a sharp intake of breath as Roland’s stomach contracted at her touch. Rin knew it was more of a delighted surprise as her hand now curled around the shaft and began to stroke back and forth. Her fingertips worked up a friction as he finally exhaled heavily into her. Then, with just a moment’s hesitation, palmed her between the legs.
Rin’s turn to gasp in pleasure as he rubbed swift circles on her underwear. Teased her until a wetness formed that he pushed the fabric aside to get to. His fingers easily slid in and out of her until they almost started to play. Hooked and curved like she was guitar strings. Rin clenched her eyes shut in ecstasy as she broke the kiss to bury her hand at a pillow. With their guard down, Roland began to play.
Rin got lost in the way his fingers moved inside of her. They searched and learned as they went. She felt Roland’s eyes on her as he darted in over her G-Spot, but Rin thought that to be accidental. Still he forged on; only stopping when her body started to jerk just slightly. He kept at it once he realized that was her clit.
Roland craned again to cover Rin’s mouth with a kiss. His hand never ended manipulating her as he opened a door to her gifts. She was at her most vulnerable, and welcomed him in.
Roland stood just outside the caravan his family spent their summers. He and his Dá had their rows over the enrollment at the conservancy. How had he saved that much money, and why had he disobeyed the rules of the family? Every penny earned went to them, the community. Not some gorja school in Cork.
Roland knew if he left he would be excommunicated from them. He couldn't return, they would make sure he wouldn't be able to find them. Still, with his kit and guitar he looked ahead and never back. He wouldn't always blend in; when he hit it big, Roland would pay them their respect.
By first year's end, gifted students like him were set up with mentors. Someone who had been around the program for a few years. She was pretty with soul piercing blue eyes and jet black hair. Roland was smitten.
Unused to outsiders who moved kind of slow compared to Traveller girls who weren't afforded time. They married by 17 or 18; his own mother was only 33 years old while Roland was 18. Yet in his culture, sex before marriage was unheard of. They dated in large chaperoned groups, and being alone with a woman was forbidden until marriage. His mentor took advantage of that. Of him.
It started the way some flings do, innocent flirting. Then one day as they sat side by side on the piano bench, she stopped playing and made a pattern of nothing on Roland’s thigh. She lightly scratched the denim material before passing over his crotch. Roland played faster to match his breathing as she started to tighten her grip on his noticeable erection. She unzipped his jeans, delved inside his boxers to take his naked cock in her hand. His improvised playing matched the way she began to jerk him off. Frenzied. Clandestine. Wanton. His music and the way he felt were both.. Perfect.
That's the way she did it. Told him it was more fun to keep it hidden. Just between them when it was their time in the practice suites. How powerful it made Roland feel to have a secret like that. How she went down on him some days. Or when they finally fucked (Roland was convinced it was more) on the piano bench. She rode him while he admitted he loved her. He always said he loved her. She would ignore him.
His scores faltered a bit, but his teachers agreed it was probably the adjustment to conservancy life. He was still better than nearly everyone, which made his head grow. Until one afternoon when they were in the room. A surprise.
Roland laid on top of Rin, her legs bent around him. He dug through the pockets of his jeans almost frantically. He was pressed hard into her thigh, but Rin urged him inside of her.
“What are you doing?”
“I forgot a condom.”
“Doesn't matter”
“Do ye really want t’have a baby with someone like me?”
“I can't have them,” Rin was matter of fact.
“Oh.. I'm sorry?” Roland pushed up on one arm to get a better look at her.
“I don't know if you should be. I'm not exactly chuffed with myself half days, imagine me as a mum. With my,” she held her hands aloft. Roland kissed them.
“Then you're meant for so much more.” It was a whisper as he sunk inside of his friend.
Rin’s breath caught in her throat for the hundredth time that evening. She held Roland as he moved in her the same way his fingers had. Her hands splayed along his shoulders as they found a cadence; silent except for their breathing. Roland’s heavy. Rin's airy as she realized a little more about him.
She was married. With a little girl about 7 or 8. Roland knew her husband as the head of the classical music department. Roland’s department. He listened as they talked about him like an art exhibit instead of a human. technique not passion.
But the husband found out, and Roland was placed in the folk music program. It just made him heart sick for Ireland and caravans and Sunday night cèilidh. How he couldn't go back, but she had stopped him from moving forward. Folk music, HIS music, required love and emotion and Roland had been told he was only good for the technical.
Then he did something he hadn't done since he was 3 or 4, Roland just stopped. He'd play something that was mechanical and cold and hard like he would become. Even if Rin had changed his view these past few months.
Rin loved Roland in that moment as he rocked harder and faster. And he loved her. It wasn't the romantic kind; that was ok too. Sometimes you just need a partner to play music with.

A Trip into the Factory
Summary: Maude gets invited into the factory for the first time in years. Chaos and fluff ensues.
A/N: This really is an excuse for me to try and write Wonka a little better. It's not too great I'll admit that, but I'm still getting used to writing him, lmaoooo.
It was a typical Tuesday afternoon for Maude, which mainly included grading assignments and checking over the kids work.
However, there was one thing different about this Tuesday. Charlie invited her over to the factory for dinner.
Usually she'd be happy to visit the Buckets, the only set back here was actually going into the factory.
Ever since Wonka and her reunited, things had been a little rocky. Maude was always busy with her students, and tried to creating some order in her schedule. Will was busy mentoring Charlie around the factory. There wasn't any time for them to really connect.
"Sure, I think she would thoroughly enjoy the factory, heh." Willy said, trying very hard to seem confident.
"And, when you're done, we can have dinner with my family." Charlie smiled with excitement.
"Yeah." Will gulped, slightly.
This was one of Willy Wonka's rare moments where he was uncertain. Usually, he knew exactly how people would react when entering the factory, but Maude was a different story. She helped sculpt every room when it was first built.
Willy had planned on asking Maude to move in with him before she got married. Being business partners was one thing, but being actually together was another. He knew from the start on why he didn't like her husband. Even during the wedding, Willy tried to be supportive of her. Hell, he even made especially for her a dozen chocolate roses. His feelings for her never really went away. He just wanted her to be happy.
After being isolated from the world for over 15 years, it really took a toll on how he interacted with others.
Meanwhile, Maude was dealing with her own worries. She looked at herself in the mirror, constantly overthinking.
She needed to leave in about 30 minutes, and that wasn't enough time either. Maude rummaged through her closet desperately searching for something to wear. Eventually, she found a brown dress that was casual enough to wear without looking completely overdressed.
She slipped on some heels and grabbed her coat before heading out the door. She was lucky the factory was walking distance from her house, but when the gates opened, she was extremely hesitant to go inside.
'Come on, Maude. Don't be pathetic.' She thought as her hand was just inches away from the door.
She bit her lip, tapping her gloved fist against the cold steel door.
Suddenly, there was a click and the door swung open. Maude stepped back, surprised a little at the sudden opening of the door.
Wonka stood just a little bit outside the door. He smiled, greeting Maude at the door.
"Heh, welcome, Maude." Will flashed a big smile at her.
She smiled back, taking off her coat. "It's quite warm in here, Will."
"Ah yes. It's because of my oompa loompas. They just can't stand the cold."
Maude tilted her head at Will. "Right, and what are oompa loompas again?"
Charlie had told her about these 'oompa loompas' but she wasn't entirely sure about what they are.
"Oh, well, they're my workers. They were directly imported from Loopmaland." Will explained as the two walked down the large hall.
"Loopmaland? I've never heard of that place before." Maude seemed to look even more confused.
"Well, I discovered it while I was searching the world of exotic candy." Will hummed.
Maude couldn't help, but be amazed at the amount of things Will had done throughout the years. Maude felt that she didn't really accomplish anything. After she left Ron, she mostly did boring adult stuff. When she worked in the factory, Maude felt unique and carefree. Will would listen to all her ideas for different kinds of mixtures. She remembered a time where she felt happy being in the factory, because it almost was a sanctuary to her.
The hallway began to get slimmer and slimmer. Soon enough Maude and Willy crouched down to get to the very small door at the end of the hallway.
"I don't remember the chocolate room being this small." Maude joked, trying not to hit her head on the suddenly short ceiling.
Willy shook his head. "It's not. Just watch."
Just as he turned the key, a whole world was opened up for Maude. Her eyes widened. Her lips parted at the view.
It was meadows of gorgeous green grass, and luscious chocolate river that flowed throughout the factory.
There was buttercups at her feet, and a jelly pumpkin on her right.
Maude felt overwhelmed with joy. "You did all this?" Her voice was below a whisper.
Willy smiled wide. "Yeah, I did."
Maude turned to Willy, smiling dreamily at him. "Wow.." Her body suddenly when limp, as she passed out in a sudden trance.
Willy panicked, catching her before she hit the ground. "Maude? Maude!!"
She snapped out of her trance. "Yes? Yes! I'm awake."
Will took a deep breath. "Heh, good. I was worried that I killed ya there."
Maude chuckled, blushing slightly by the way Wonka was holding her.
Wonka seemed to noticed it too. He cleared his throat. "Well, let's get a move on. There's lots of things I wanna show you."
He set Maude back down on her feet. She chuckled nervously, still amazed at the view.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of low drumming. A purple sea horse shaped boat pulled up right next to Willy and Maude.
"Hop on board!" Willy stepped onto the boat, with Maude following behind.
The Oompa Loompas seemed to be chattering amongst themselves and chuckling.
"What are they laughing about?" Maude chuckled.
He laughed nervously. "Surely, it's from all those doggone coca beans. They're a bit of a handful."
Maude smiled. "They seem quite lovely. I think I got a report from Charlie, talking about living with the Oompa Loompas. It was incredibly-"
"Weird?" Willy interrupted.
"Yeah, but, a good kind of weird." Maude chuckled. "You're a great mentor."
Willy's smile faltered slightly. "Well, I have to get him prepared to run this factory. There's not a lot of people I could trust to hold the secret recipes, and keep them secret."
"Right."
"I guess the only other person would be you."
Maude's expression shifted from happiness to a bit of sadness. She attempted to smile. "Thank you, Will."
She stared blankly for a few seconds. She began to remember Ron's horrid yelling.
"You'll always be in his shadow, Maude. Don't you want your own factory? He stole most of your ideas, Maude. A few of his would be nothing."
Maude would always refuse to steal from Will. Ron would call her a coward. Still, this torment would go on for hours, until she resigned.
The boat began to diverge into a dark tunnel. Maude's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the Oompa Loompas drumming as it began to get faster and faster.
"Can they see where they're going?" Maude said, as she turned to Willy.
"Hehe, no." Will chuckled. "There's no telling where they're going."
Maude's face turned pale as she held on to the side of the boat.
The boat suddenly took sharp dive right into the tunnel. The boat looped and turned as chocolate splashed its sides. Maude suddenly had her arms around Wonka's, holding onto dear life. Will looked over at her a little surprised. In most situations, Will despised human contact. Here, he was just amused. Even when he was a little boy, he hates when adults touched his hair, or even when they lightly tapped his shoulder. However, he was very loose when it came to Maude. She didn't appreciate close contact either, but in very few moments, Maude would casually touch his hand accidentally. She would always say sorry, but it was strange because Will didn't mind it. It was an odd connection between the two. They really just couldn't explain it.
Maude was still holding onto Will as the boat came to a stop. She sighed in relief, but quickly let go of Will.
"Sorry." Maude muttered.
Will gulped. "No matter. Let's continue."
The boat had stopped in front of the experimentation room, a place where Maude was quite familiar with.
"The experiments room. I'm pretty sure you know this one, heh." Will said, hoping off the boat.
Maude looked around, admiring the enormous amounts of lab equipment, as well as different kinds of experiments. "Oh, wow. It's gotten quite modernized."
"You're darn right. I've testing out a ton of new candy, but sometimes it's so hard to focus on one." Willy turned towards a big machine. He turned it on and out came a single stick of gum.
"This piece, right here, is a full 3 course dinner all in itself."
Maude picked up the stick of gum, and simply looked at it.
"I wouldn't eat it. There's still a few things wrong with the mixture."
"I see, and what seems to be wrong with it." Maude carefully set the stick back down.
"Well, it's ok, once it gets to the end. It's the blueberry pie that does it. I've tried it on like 20 Oompa Loompas, and each one ended up like a giant blueberry."
"Do you think it's because you made the mixture of the pie too strong?" Maude examined the sample closely, just before sticking it in her mouth.
"Yeah, well." Will's eyes widened as she stuck the gum in her mouth. "Just spit it out once it gets too sweet."
The flavors were very incredible, however it didn't mask the faint blueberry aftertaste that plagued each flavor. Once it got a but too sweet, she immediately spat it out.
Will looked at her with a bit of disgust. He kept a bit of a distance from her. After a few moments, nothing happened.
"I think I know the problem. The blueberry pie mixture is too strong. It masks all the other flavors with a sweet aftertaste." Maude put the gum in the nearest trash can. "If you eliminate that strong aftertaste, then I believe the gum should be just fine."
Willy's expression turned from disgust to ecstatic in a matter of seconds. He grabbed Maude by the hand, and shook it vigorously. "Maude, you're a genius. Absolutely incredible. I don't get why I didn't think of that sooner."
Maude smiled slightly. "This is just like old times. Remember when we were experimenting with those fizzy lifting bubbles? We flew so high. We almost lost our heads."
"Yeah, haha. I remember." Will nodded, still holding onto Maude's hand.
"I remember Ron being so worried." Maude laughed.
Willy's smile soon faded. "Yeah, him."
Hearing that name again really made Will's blood boil. He had an idea what was happening with Maude and Ron. Will had really hoped Maude would choose candy making over Ron, because that's what made her happy.
His gloved hand had a tight hold on Maude's. "It's really weird, heh."
"What is?" Maude asked.
"Being here with you. I just would've figured you'd always be with me, making candy in the factory."
"Well, I'm here right now."
"That's not what I mean."
Maude tilted her head up at him, a little confused. They looking into each other's eyes for a moment. His gorgeous purple eyes burrow deep into her dark chocolate ones.
He leaned in, giving Maude a tiny peck on the lips. It was quick and painless. Still, it made Maude go red as a cherry.
Willy giggled, wiping the tiny kiss off his lips.
"W-wow.." Maude muttered. "That was unexpected." She blinked for a few moments, promptly pinching herself, before even realizing what had happened.
"Heh, I've always wanted to try that." Will said, smiling wide. "Kissing is so weird."
"But it's a good kind of weird." Maude chuckled, as she pulled Will into another kiss.
This was so much better than she could've imagined.
