Sometimes I think about the fact that, on the Comprehensive Got/ASoIaF Meta I wrote, several people accused me of being overly hateful/uncharitable toward [fan favorite female character], despite the fact that a) I went out of my way to be gentle toward her for this exact reason, and b) the characters I was the meanest to were honestly probably Jaime and Cersei.

#like I made an active effort not to let my House Bias show and it still wasn't enough I do not know what to do with this portion of #the fandom. luckily there wasn't Drama™ over this (the post only has a couple hundred notes anyway also I eventually took her #character name off of the tags) but like. these people scare me. tbh.#(to be CLEAR: no I do not hate this character. I don't have a problem with people loving this character. I am talking about a relatively #small yet extremely vitriolic and aggressive SUBSET OF PEOPLE who cannot handle the idea that this character might have one (1) flaw and #willfully exclude literally every other part of this story. and then take out their dissatisfaction on other people.)
