I finished Poputepipikku 2nd Season!

What an insane season finale and great season overall. I thought that the first season was fun and creative, although some skits were more amusing than others and it could be a little dull or annoying at times. I expected something similar with the second season with varying quality, but instead almost every single skit and parody was a hit and there were barely any that I thought were bad, dumb, too dragged out or I couldn’t understand and the series suffered from it.

The production went all out and I loved almost every single second of it. There were recurring jokes that build up the heart of the show and haven’t gotten old yet. They brought back some classics (such as Hellshake Yano) while making them even better (an entire episode dedicated to it!!!). Each episode felt different to the last with some sort of incredibly creative and crazy technique or skit I never would’ve expected. The quality was great throughout the season, amazing at times and appropriately shitty at others. It felt like the people working on it had a lot of fun making it and that it was an opportunity to try out all sorts of interesting ideas, push the limits and showcase how varied anime can be.

It’s a series that I highly recommend, although the humor is not for everyone. It’s a fairly unique anime and I can’t think of anything I’d compare it to so it’s definitely worth a try!

Okay I'm back on grinding out money pins in NEO (as you do) and I'm sorry was anyone going to tell me that the overpowered Gatto Nero pins are each named after a season and the flavor text says they're engraved with the words "seasons greetings"

Implying they were released as seasonal promotions, And, someone in the UG, who had access to pins, would be able to collect them, and be able to tell what time of year it was, perhaps important because their grasp of the passage of time is shaky, wherever they are. And perhaps they could read the pin, and be protected, not just by the power of the psychs, but by knowing that, somewhere, somewhere in the real world, the person who made the pin is trying to say hello?

Or was I supposed to notice on my own and come up with this elaborate headcanon on my own?

I spent the last few weeks binging all of the Bone Season books and had to express it somehow so have a bunch of doodles of Paige (and Arcturus) from each book put together. I really love them as characters and the growth Paige especially goes through

Rewatching Gravity Falls for the who-knows-what thousandth time and I. I have. A thought.

The website that alluded to (not confirmed, as far as I know) of a season three. And this is a big deal.

Since it's pretty much a given that if this does end up happening, Bill WILL be a part of it and they'll need some way to stop him. So I figured, since Mabel destroyed the memory eraser and Bill would probably not have fallen for the same thing twice anyway, the obvious choice is the zodiac wheel again.

BUT.

What if instead of it all being the same person in the same spot as they were in the finale, why not have their positions switched around a bit. The obvious examples being Wendy as pine tree since she and Dipper swapped hats and Soos since he took over as owner of the Mystery Shack and also Stan's iconic hat. I *may* try to plot out who would go where and share the rest of that stuff on here, but I think this idea would work really well when you contextualize it with the concept that even though time has passed and people have grown and changed and are no longer the same as they once were, they're still just as strong and still care for each other and their bond will never be broken.

Much like the people who loved this show.

Make it make sense 🙂 they'll say Will's feelings = El's feelings to explain why the monologue is valid even though Will was the driving force behind it, but then turn around and say Will's feelings ≠ El's feelings which is why he'll move on but El can't, and why El’s love for him is deeper and why she‘s better for him. It's a total paradox.

I doubt this is going to happen. I have no doubt S2 is gonna beat us relentlessly against a wall as far as emotional weight and the gravity of resolving all the misunderstandings

But wouldn’t it just be so funny if they totally subverted that? Like the second Ed and Stede lock eyes they’re already making up before they’re even close enough to hold each other. No tension no angst, we’ll all be writing the opposite of fix-it fics, we’ll be writing make-it-worse fics 😭😭
