Sierra Getting Signed
This was something I knew would eventually happen. One way or another, despite the massive screwup that happened in 2018, I felt like she would still get signed somehow. Back in 2018 when she tried to release music as a solo artist that for me is what really solidified my belief that this whole “relationship” was just a setup to get her noticed more. That none of it was real.
Looking at the IG post that Unknown Music posted there’s a lot about the caption that just feels fabricated to me. I’ll use screenshots to show my point. And we will break the post down by paragraph as well seeing as she got two paragraphs. And out of all the posts made on August 14, 2020 she was one of 5 that actually got two paragraphs. Makes you wonder why she’s so special? Because personally, I don’t think she is.
We will start with the first paragraph and basically go sentence by sentence. The first sentence is pretty basic. We all know she grew up in Florida, but she was actually born in Philadelphia. Remember this for later, because there is a sentence within the second paragraph that is vastly misleading. We also know that she and Alex did move to Los Angeles after winning the X-Factor show in 2013. Most people don’t even know who Sierra is to begin with, let alone that she was a winner of the X-Factor US Show. Simple Google searches cover that if someone were really that curious. Basically, I am saying she is an unknown artist. So, maybe being signed to a label titled Unknown Music could potentially be beneficial. I don’t know.
Moving on to sentence three where it talks about her touring. According to concertarchives.org she and Alex did a whopping total of FOURTEEN concerts. That doesn’t really equate to four plus years of touring in my personal opinion. But you can all be the judge of that. But if you look at songkick.com at their past shows it states that they had tours going as far as a February 2017 and started in 2012 before they even won The X-Factor US season 3. However, some of these dates don’t even seem to be plausible with how extensive being part of a national televised contest like the X-Factor really is.
The final sentence claims she wants to pursue writing songs for other artists under a multi-award winning, multi-platinum selling American Songwriter named Ross Golan. Who, by the way if you simply look at his song writing credits on his Wikipedia page states that he wrote a song for the self-titled album 5SOS released. That’s right, he wrote the song Mrs. All American for 5SOS. So, it’s quite interesting that she would be signed under this guy. But not really. She can’t do anything without it being connected to 5SOS in some way.
Above, you’ll notice the second paragraph. It starts off with yet again mentioning her stint on The X-Factor US. Bringing it back to something that was done 7 years ago. However, looking at past episodes of their season Alex and Sierra didn’t even win on their talent. They simply won because they were “a cute couple”. Each and every performance they ever did all the judges could do was mention “how cute they were”. Not a single judge ever mentioned their vocal range or their “talent”.
We all know that Alex is the reason they even won because he basically carried them both through the whole show. He’s the one with the natural talent. He’s the one who has successfully released EP’s for his solo career post Alex&Sierra Era.
The second and third sentences go hand in hand because they both talk about her song writing abilities. Personally, I don’t think she’s that talented at it. She’s mediocre at best. She doesn't know how to write those smashing hits. It’s basic stuff. “Little Do You Know” is a song that I highly doubt would make anyone shed a tear. Now, I did have Red look up the song on Spotify, and for whatever reason it really does have slightly over 400 million streams. How or why? I don’t know.
“She’s a Vietnamese woman” is an honest to god lie. And no, I am not erasing the fact that she is a Woman of Color/Person of Color. Sierra IS NOT a straight up Vietnamese woman. She was NOT born in Vietnam. She was born in America. Which makes her heritage HALF Vietnamese. It honestly seems like she’s trying to erase the fact that she was born in the US. This should have been written like this: “She’s of British and Vietnamese decent, because I do believe her dad was born in England and not America, but I could be wrong. However, she is American because she was born in America.
Moving on to her “College” experience. Whether she was actually going to college with the intent to be a doctor is uncertain. From everything I have seen about her “college” experience she went into college for Public Relations and not to be a doctor at first. I get the feeling this was added in to maybe bring up the fact that her older sister happens to be a nurse.
Finally, the final sentence. She grows her own food and plays too much video games. Sierra has never once ever expressed ANY interest in video games or growing her own food until quarantine happened. So, this whole thing feels like a fabrication to me. Just to make her sound “relatable” or “well-rounded” I guess. Maybe I’m being too harsh. Maybe I’m not. I know interests change and people change. But overall, she’s never struck me as the type to ever be interested in those things.
And finally, we’ll take a look at the publishing partner Kobalt Music because honestly, I found this to be very interesting indeed. Recently, I took a look at the 5 Seconds of Summer BMI page again. And I looked at all the songs from the CALM album. 7 out of 12 songs from that album were published under Kobalt Music. It’s a bit strange to me that 5 Seconds of Summer would be affiliated with Cobalt right around the same time that Sierra gets signed. Again, it brings me to the conclusion that she can’t do anything on her own. She’s been handed opportunity after opportunity since being associated with the band and essentially squandered it all until now.
She can’t do anything on her own merit. She can’t do any heavy lifting on her own. Something or basically EVERYTHING has to have some kind of affiliation to 5 Seconds of Summer somehow. I mean Unknown Music Publishing was founded just this year by Ross Golan, again someone who wrote a song for 5 Seconds of Summer in their early careers. Not a coincidence in my opinion. Overall, this just seems a little convenient but definitely something that was in the making from the moment she started becoming more known within the 5SOS “circle”.

How'd you like Wonder Woman? I'm seeing it in a few hours!
While my wife Wonder Woman was flawless and amazing as she kicked ass, the development solely of her character left everything else in the dust and to squander.
Like, we had all these characters and kickass story lines that could have been amazing, but weren’t for a number of reasons. (my personal ones, at least.)
Reason 1: the amount of dependence on stereotypes in the movie really turned me off. Every side character played to literally the worst stereotypes there was for them, and i’m honestly upset about that. The one that stuck out for me personally was them naming the First Nation’s character Chief of all things. He was literally the first one i’ve seen on screen since fucking Suicide Squad, where Slipknot got two minutes of screen time and then was killed in a joke death- and they had him be named Chief, use smoke signals, and barely touched on the fact that he’s helping fight for a nation that literally subjugated and was still actively trying to wipe out his own. And that’s not even mentioning the kilt/drunkenness of the scottsman, or the red capped, accented middle eastern fellow. and those two were totally a thing, i got major vibes between them the whole movie.
Reason 2: they never developed anything between the outspoken, plus sized secretary who spoke about woman’s rights and struggles, with Diana, a woman from an island where everyone’s voice is equal in worth. They could’ve had an amazing friendship- or even relationship, since you know, island of only women automatically makes everyone a lesbian- but they had just a handful of scenes together, and then nothing else. It screams of wasted character and story potential, to me. This was supposed to be a movie about female power, and they waysided a lady who could’ve been shown to have her own sort of power in a male dominated world. Not everything is about punching and kicking; sometimes its about winning with mind and words, too. It could’ve been an excellent parallel, the two of them being friends.
Reason 3: they, in the end, didn’t do shit with another amazing female character; that being the villainous Doctor Poison. We never got her backstory, she never even spoke to Diana, and in the end she was just disappeared from the plot line. She created the deadliest weapon in mankind’s history, clawed her way up in a military led by bigoted racists and sexists, and was essentially Diana’s perfect final foe. A woman, with her own powers and agency, trying to make the difference in the world she felt was needed. But in the end all they had the two of them do was stare a little at one another, and then part ways. Total let down, considering how crafty and intelligent they led us to believe Doctor Poison was.
Reason 4: there wasn’t nearly enough speaking out against the patriarchy at all. In a film all about a feminist icon, you’d think there’d be more her subverting that bullshit with the characters. She never confronted anyone about they treated her, or spoke of her, and she never actually said that how the men talked down at women was wrong. I love watching Wonder Woman lift tanks into the air, but in the end I felt like I didn’t get to see her be the feminist character I know she is.
So while Wonder Woman should definitely be supported, because we need more movies with strong female leads, I do feel it had a gratitude of flaws and short comings. It could’ve been much better, had they put effort into not depending on stereotypes and remembered to give all characters and relationships the chance to shine.
Also: that one lady on the beach, when the general died in Diana’s arms, was totally the general’s wife. The dramatic cry, the falling to her knees over the body- unless i missed something, they were so married, and the movie missed a chance to showcase positive and healthy same-sex relationships. (Island of women. Only women. Listen, there is no way it’s not a big gaggle of lesbians, alright? There’s just no way.)
#Wonder Woman#ask the writer#i was actually really disappointed in the film#i had such high hopes for more than just swooning over diana's strength#god dammnit

Doctor Who 2x04: The Girl in the Fireplace
Writer: Stevn Moffat Director: Euros Lyn Main Cast: David Tennant, Billie Piper, Noel Clarke, Sophia Myles
Synopsis: The Doctor, Rose and Mickey land on a 51st century spaceship that is riddled with time windows that lead to 18th century France. And it all seems to be centred around the life of one woman: Madame de Pompadour.
Monster of the Week: Clockwork service droids who are trying to repair their broken spaceship with whatever they can, including the crew.
Quote of the Episode:
Reinette: What do monsters have nightmares about?
Doctor: Me!
Standout Moment: The scene where the Doctor notices the broken clock is truly chilling and will have you nervously checking your own clock every time you hear it ticking.
Cringeworthy Moment: The Doctor truly is a terrible singer. Or maybe that was just because he was pretending to be drunk.
Main Review: What we have here is a story about things that don’t belong. There’s an 18th century French fireplace on a 51st century spaceship. There’s the Doctor temporarily trapped in the past with no TARDIS. And there’s the fact that the The Girl in the Fireplace does not belong in season two of Doctor Who.
Season two was the Doctor and Rose’s honeymoon period. The Doctor was finally forgiving himself for the Time War and was allowing himself to have fun, sometimes even a little too much fun (like in Tooth and Claw). And this episode doesn’t really fit in with that. But it so easily could have done. The overall plot is fantastic and would have made an intriguing episode if it weren’t for three things.
The first being the unbelievable love story between the Doctor and Reinette. I can understand a slight infatuation on Reinette’s part. This handsome man sweeps into her life and saves her when she needs it most but those instances were so few and far between that it should have been nothing more than a schoolgirl’s crush, not this huge love story that the episode tried to turn it into. As for the Doctor, he has obviously admired Madame de Pompadour for a long time and knows a lot about her... but he still hardly knew her. From his point of view he only knew her for a few hours. Although, his side of this “romance” is thankfully underplayed (other than being jealous of King Louis) and the question of his true feelings for Reinette is left unanswered.
The second thing that failed this episode is the Doctor’s characterisation. Much like Rose in School Reunion, the Doctor’s characterisation in this episode isn’t exactly off, just a little over-the-top. He pretty much ignores Mickey the whole time (which may not be too out of character for him but the two men have come further than that by this point in the show); he is unnecessarily snarky to Rose when he is rescuing her from the droids; and he saves history only to endanger it again by offering Reinette a trip in the TARDIS.
But the what’s off most about the Doctor’s characterisation is how he left Rose and Mickey alone on a spaceship that he didn’t even know the name of, knowing he couldn’t get back to them. There really needed to be a scene or line of dialogue that showed us that he had a way of getting them back to their own time (like telling them to use Emergency Program One) or a clearer look at the Doctor’s struggle to make the decision to leave. Because he had to go save Reinette, that was for sure - history was at stake - it’s just that the way that the Doctor did it was what was wrong. Its understandable to not want to fly TARDIS through time to get there (what if he got the dates wrong?) but he could have flown the TARDIS through the window. A blue box flying through the mirror would have been no different to the people of France - and by extension, history - than seeing a man on a horse jump through it. They were already being attacked by clockwork robots anyway so it’s not like they were unfamiliar with strange things happening. And while we’re on it, when you need something with the force of a truck to smash through something, who the hell thinks that a horse would be an acceptable substitute? I know horses are pretty darn strong but it was quite a cramp spaceship and there wasn’t exactly a lot of room for a run up. Not to mention how it may have hurt the poor horse.
But the worst thing about this situation is that it is totally forgotten about afterwards. Rose is already a bit insecure of being left behind after finding out about Sarah Jane and then less than 24 hours later, the Doctor does just that, he leaves her behind... and there are no ramifications what so ever. Steven Moffat may have written the episode but the lack of fallout from it, that is on Russell T Davies.
Rose’s characterisation however is spot on. Rather than being catty like she was in School Reunion, Rose handles her jealousy towards Reinette much more like you would expect her to. She keeps it to herself. The only time she shows it to someone else is when Mickey is baiting her. And when everything is all done, instead of confronting the Doctor about it, she sees that he is grieving and asks if he is okay.
And the last thing that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the season is the fixation on the Doctor’s loneliness. Yes, he is still the last of his kind and that loneliness is never going to go away (at least not until The Day of the Doctor) but he has come a long way in the past year or so. He not only has Rose now, he has Mickey and Jackie as well and in a weird way they have all become a sort of family. The talk of “Lonely Gods” is something that would be more suited to series one or three or the 2009 specials. Or even after the Doctor loses the Ponds in series seven. Or maybe they were just trying to refer to the point made in the last episode that a long life is a curse and how the Doctor knows that he will eventually lose all those he cares about.
Overall Rating: 4/10. An interesting story that had its potential squandered on an unbelievable romance, a slightly uncharacteristic Doctor, and the exclusion of a few vital scenes. But hey, at least it gave us some good fan fiction.

20 Insightful Quotes About Diet
Eating plans for detoxification have arrive under huge scrutiny in excess of the months that have passed. You will discover a lot of promises that only bodyweight which can be dropped is the burden of drinking water from the start of the fasting time period and the next loss of pounds because of the reduction of caloric consumption. A detoxification diet program may be quite restrictive, and may go in terms of getting referred to as as a starvation food plan. Lots of article content made by "experts" reveal that a detoxification diet program is harmful to persons, expressing that it is simply a "yo-yo" eating plan, creates a Improper perception on a lot of foodstuff groups and may even result in some consuming Issues.
youtube
We can also be conscious of The point that The majority of these "authorities" generating these article content are Functioning or are associated in the sector of overall health and weight-loss that are men and women like wellbeing software supervisors, nutritionists, weight-loss counselors, and customary Individuals who have great curiosity and awareness on Physical fitness and health and fitness. Though I'm not declaring that everyone of these individuals are just generating up their statements or may very well be fabricating the reality pertaining to this subject, I'm just stating that usually somebody of this instruction degree will likely have a hard time seeing items on a special perspective. This can be because they only have confidence in what they have uncovered or skilled, and may not be Prepared to simply accept facts other than whatever they had. Like for instance, whenever a nutritionist enters college and has actually been educated Along with the training that inexperienced beans could potentially cause most cancers, this identical individual will complete higher education with the belief that this food is terrible for people today's wellbeing. This can also bring about him to share this information and facts along with his consumers and Others he comes in connection with. And when after a number of years, a particular person gets in the image and debates that inexperienced beans would not bring about most cancers, do you think that it is achievable for that nutritionist to think what this present-day man or woman is stating?
This kind of anomaly is not only connected to nutritionists and other related fields in health and Conditioning. It could happen in other fields as well. Staying a writer, I realized that you simply must by no means talk in double negatives. It is simply an easy ethical consideration I use Each individual and each working day. If someone would technique me and did every little thing to persuade me that what I have acquired before has become various, no matter whether wrong or right, I often see to it that I don't talk in double negatives. And if I make criticisms on this present-day strategy without the need of to start with making my own investigation and revisiting my familiarity with simple English and grammar, then I am merely only just depending on my previous know-how to discussion on this situation.
So why You should not we deviate away from traditional nutritionists and just find out what detoxification meal plans have to supply from a totally blank slate. No, I'm not a nutritionist, I am just a author that is curious and wants to know if a detoxification diet regime seriously is really a healthful method of physique cleansing, or could it be just a type of starvation diet plan that does no excellent for the body Other than just losing some water whilst creating people today think that it can make them truly feel better. I've collected three people who have undergone a detoxification diet and A further 3 who didn't. This populace might not comprise a big proportion, but I'm not acquiring these persons as guinea pigs, I just would like to get details based mostly on their experience in order for me to verify or negate the detoxification diet program statements from equally dieticians and people who are topics of the detoxification diet program.
Fasting and purity
Folks have relied on fasting for centuries to be able to be purified. If we backtrack through historic writings, We'll find that fasting was not only performed as a means of purification from the spirit, but also for Actual physical purification. All those fasting for purity experienced important loss of Strength, but regains power once the duration of fasting, generally inside a period of 36 hrs. This assertion can easily be debated upon, considering that the individuals might have felt that their human body has been cleansed because of their spiritual inspiration within the fasting system. The 3 people I've invited to go through fasting weren't planning to be spiritually enlightened, and mentioned that they felt extremely weak immediately after being deprived of foodstuff for some time, While they began to really feel much better and cleaner before the 2nd day ended. Also, none of the a few claimed they experienced starvation, but as a substitute felt the fasting approach did provide them with some volume of Actual physical purity.
Within the science of drugs, you will discover instances wherein doctors will recommend you to definitely quick. Location aside pre-surgical procedures, most fasting procedures are accomplished so as to get ready or cleanse your body for a thing. Get the situation of individuals having diet programs such as the ketogenic eating plan, which requires a period of fasting ahead of commencing it so that you can improved treat diseases.
Individuals criticizing the detoxification diet regime strategy point out that head aches and also other undesirable signs and symptoms display up on the 1st phase of the diet system due to the food deprivation. But advocates from the detoxification diet plan application argue the headaches along with other signs and symptoms are only momentary and as a result of physique being accustomed to the new system it truly is dealing with. The three individuals I invited to undertake a detoxification diet plan application all experienced a similar result in the quality of their urine and bowel excretions; They appear clearer and experienced less odor. And Even though they did truly feel some degree of complications and exhaustion, they did not attribute this into the fasting process.
I also did some exploration online and located 11 dieticians who disagreed undergoing a detoxification diet program. Each and every personal debated that headaches have been due to fasting procedure, but in essence, Also they are recommending some type of detoxification food plan. Attention-grabbing sufficient, their versions of special diet plans integrated some form of fasting at the same time. Their version was just distinct in several matters, like just ingesting only some sorts of fruits and yogurt. Most detoxification diet programs really don't have a whole fasting period of time.
Individuals that Will not concur with getting into a detoxification diet regime are not really pleased with the weightloss benefits that it provides. They argue that it is only the weight with the drinking water dropped in the course of fasting, and may conveniently get back again to what it at first was The instant typical taking in program is resumed. The fat reduction advantages of detoxification diets truly originate from distinct sources. Like when you're undergoing an Over-all system detoxification, a few of the fat shed from your body has currently been flushed down the rest room (in the event you know what I'm discussing that is). You might be amazed to realize that two from the folks I invited to take a detoxification software even named for a plumber due to the surplus squander they excreted. The burden they dropped in the process has been managed too, and two of these people have started with This system more than six months prior to this text was even penned. The load they misplaced has long been taken care of simply because they produced smarter having alternatives. Though they resumed with their regular having schedule, they did not go back with consuming numerous junk and processed foods. All of them said that they have got discovered how to maintain their physique's toxin stages low just after going through the detoxification food plan and it has gave them a far better All round health.
So is this just Yet another diet program trend?
Critics of your detoxification diet plan this new craze in dieting, comparable to Some others that had the "food plan" phrase with them, is not any different than its predecessors, particularly in its effectiveness. Every time a fresh food plan trend will come on the market, a lot of men and women hurry towards the scene, saying that it does them no very good. Actually, not all diet courses are appropriate for everyone. I myself have tried using Atkins diet regime for rather a while and my efforts proved for being futile, Even though a friend of mine swore that it labored miracles for him. Seemingly, the Atkins diet program is not really produced for people who are certainly not appreciably overweight, as most critics say, and my own entire body too. So can we now conclude the detoxification diet program is past Every person's criteria of a regular food plan trend, or can it be only a hyped-up failure the same as everyone promises it to become? Of your three individuals who experienced been through detoxification, two condition that it is not a diet plan trend. They say that's an effective course of action of cleansing the human body, wherein most food plan packages are unsuccessful to try and do. The 3rd person states that it is simply a trend in diet regime, but as it is effective for him, then he does probably not treatment over it.
Diet regime crazes and tendencies typically do not really have Significantly inside them. They are actually just Tips designed to convince you that this particular diet pattern is the best and handiest, and they are able to allow you to drop fat and preserve it from returning. Detoxification eating plans aims for one thing past All of this, Which is the reason I actually exerted some energy to understand the truth relating to this diet program method. I basically had to determine.
