Time for some more fountain pen ink madness! :D

So. Yesterday I got a bottle of Ink Institute's Shuiyang Forest. It had looked like a very nice purple (Trilo, more purple?! yes) on the website samples, with some lovely sheening. When I swatched it, it looked similar to another ink I have by Sailor, Hinoki.

First image is scanned, second is taken with my phone and is closer to how it actually looks.

ANYWAY, you know what time it is. Side-by-sides!!!

Donnie/eyes open - Shuiyang Forest, Donnie/eyes closed - Hinoki.

It comes out a lot greener by scans... You can kiiind of see the sheening better on Hinoki.

Photos in the sunlight... You can see the purple/blues more! I'm wondering if it just didn't sheen as well because of the waterbrush I was using to color... :|a

As someone who used to be OBSESSED with Rainbow Dash as a kid, I feel so so incredibly validated seeing such a pretty, badass, beautiful, elegant, and kickass redesign of her. Honestly she’s my fave out of all of these. SHE LOOKS SO COOOOL LOOK AT ALL THE COLORSSSSSSSS
