“Books, books, books! I had found the secret of a garret room Piled high with cases in my father’s name; Piled high, packed large,--where, creeping in and out Among the giant fossils of my past, Like some small nimble mouse between the ribs Of a mastodon, I nibbled here and there At this or that box, pulling through the gap, In heats of terror, haste, victorious joy, The first book first. And how I felt it beat Under my pillow, in the morning’s dark, An hour before the sun would let me read! My books!” ― Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Aurora Leigh.

🍄 Mystical Mushrooms: Discover the Magic & Folklore of Fantastic Fungi by Aurora Kane
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
This book explores the history, folklore, and future of common and not-so-common fungi. To me the best part of this book was seeing the catalogue of 43 fungi species. The level of folklore and history in the book is beginner information, just barely scraping the surface. A fun read, all in all.

"A Princesa Adormecida" (Princesas Modernas #2)
Sɪɴᴏᴘsᴇ Oғɪᴄɪᴀʟ: Era uma vez uma princesa...
Aᴜᴛᴏʀᴀ: Paula Pimenta.
-------------------------------------------------------
ALERTA SPOILERS!
-------------------------------------------------------
Pᴀʀᴀ ᴏʙᴛᴇʀ: A Princesa Adormecida, Paula Pimenta - Livro - Bertrand

King of Nothing by Aurora Rose Reynolds
5 stars
Oh my heart! This is one of those stories told in a quiet, calming, manner, with everything unfolding and being presented by, and to, our characters. That isn’t to say it didn’t have an impact, because it tore straight into heart from the very beginning. Elora and Roman, blossomed? discovered? no, they became themselves while growing and having shared, but differing, experiences together. I loved every second, every moment, every stop, they made, and am privileged I got to take this journey with them <3

The Accidental Sereph ♡
E-Arc Review
3.5⭐️
▪︎
The angel/ demons plot points definitely are the main aspect that sold me this novella other than the author. I'm pretty excited and intrigued with this new universe.
I would say this series reminds me of the Reapers series by Donna Grant in terms of the serialisation. While the Reapers series is more on fae, this one is more on the angel/ demons trope plus the new version of fated mates. This is also an insta-lust/ insta love.
I think the parts where I think I need to improve along the developments of this series are probably the characters, I would love them to be more of having depth and personalities.
For a starter novella for this brand new series, it's quite good. Did a fine job in intriguing me more. I would definitely be following this series ✨️
Thank you, author Maci Aurora, for the e-arc opportunity ♡

Severus Snape daughter headcanons
Slytherin all the way.
There was a debate with the sorting hat between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, but the hat landed on Slytherin
Severus taught her German and Russian
Has a pet cat
Was taught how to brew potions as a child
Skilled in occlumency and legilimens
Severus would've definitely taught her some fight moves he learned from Tobias to defend herself along with defense spells to protect herself if necessary (one of the rare good things Tobias did for Severus)
I feel his daughter would have a photographic memory
If his daughter was born before the war, then she would've met Regulus as a baby but didn't know a lot about him other than what Narcissa, Lucius, and her father told her (all good things)
Growing up, Severus didn't tell her a lot of his past, but every time she was in the Malfoy's care or Charity and Aurora's care, they would tell her all the embarrassing school stories of Severus (Severus would neither confirm or deny the stories) but they leave out the marauders of their stories (she knows about them, they always let it slip during their stories)
Educated in both the wizarding and muggle world
She definitely inherited the famous Severus glare and sharp tongue
Middle is Eileen, and Severus talks about his mother sometimes but not much
She would definitely be a bookworm
Similar to Severus, she would have an interest in potions and DADA
She and Draco would have definitely seen each other as siblings from their parents
I feel like she would be respectful and nice to house elves and would hate the abuse they face (she scolds her uncle Lucius about hurting Dobby every time she sees it)
Her and Hermione would have a school rivalry since they are both the smartest girls in their houses. But they respect each other and their intellect
If wolfstar had a child or children, then you can count on some bad blood between them (who knows... maybe an enemies to lovers)
Severus and McGonagall taught her how to dance (quite fabulously, if I may add 👌💃)
Sees Minerva as a grandmother figure (you can't tell me that McGonagall wouldn't lover her as her own)
If she had an Animagus form, it would be a cat or Raven
Her Patronus would be a bat or a cat
Has respect for the Weasley twins but will not hesitate to turn their pranks against them if it's aimed at her father, Draco, or herself
Likes Molly and Arthur but has notes on their parenting
She and Ron like playing wizard chess with each other (she beats him every time, and Ron always wants a rematch)
I feel like she would be a bit relatable to Stiles Stilinski (has ADHD, OCD, A LOT of sarcasm, and is stubborn. Wonder where she gets that from) "I mean no. Do you want to hear it in German? Nein". "I'm 140 pounds of pale skin and fragile bone, ok? Sarcasm and magic are my ONLY defense."
I feel like a lot of people would be afraid of her because she is Severus's daughter
She and Luna, I feel would get along because of her creative mind and unique way of seeing the world (she would also scare off Luna's bullies)
She makes her own spells, potions, and magical objects (mad scientist mode)
Not a big fan of quidditch but supports Draco
Brains of the operation
Hates Sirius on sight and is OK Remus.
She will not hesitate to hex or murder Sirius if he continues to insult her family (she is very difficult to restrain)
Feels like Harry's babysitter for always helping him survive on his adventures
She knows Remus when she was young due to his visits to her home to pick up his supply of wolfsbane from her father (so she knows he's a werewolf)
Often scold Draco if his insults go too far.
If her dad was a part of the death eaters and she was told, she would be shocked, upset, and angry but if he told her about the double agent part then she would be more worried for him
All I got so far. Enjoy my lovelies

Ellis is a romantic at heart and is yearning for a romance to rival those in books. Ellis is a very sweet girl who always tries to befriend others and would do anything for them. Aestheticore Legacy Challenge
Hullo friends! I have been searching for a little while for a legacy challenge that I could also use as some sort of perfect genetics challenge and I figured, why not make my own. So the aestheticore legacy challenge was born! As you can tell from the title, this challenge is centered around differed aesthetics. There are a ton of aesthetics out there so it was hard to pick just 10, and some of these I’ve never heard of before so I’m excited to try this out!
If you decide to do this, tag me ticklemerainbows or aestheticore challenge so I can see! And feel free to let me know what you think. This is my first challenge so if there’s things I could do different/better let me know!
And without further ado, the challenge.
~x~x~x~
Generation One - Cottagecore
Your favorite thing about living on family land is the garden. It’s been around for at least the last 10 generations, and you want nothing more than to keep it going, but living in a city isn’t for you. So you pack up, take a keepsake plant from the garden and move to a quiet town in order to grow your own garden that will hopefully last for generations to come!
Requirements: The Perfect Garden
Live on a small (no bigger than 30x30) lot
Maintain a garden for the entire generation
Reach level 10 Gardening
Make a living off your plants
Suggested Traits: Green Thumb, Loves the Outdoors
Color: Green
Generation Two - Auroracore
You try your hardest to help your parents on the farm but you can’t help but have your head in the clouds. Fairy tales are your favorite genre of anything, and while living on a farm is all fine and dandy - you absolutely love your horse, you did raise it from a baby after all! - you always wonder if there’s something more. Like, a unicorn, perhaps?
Requirements: The Fairy Tale Finder
Raise a horse from foal to adult
Reach level 10 in the Riding Skill
Have your horse get the Friend of the Herd Lifetime Reward
Search for a unicorn anytime there’s an aurora
Suggested Traits: Equestrian, Animal Lover
Color: Lilac
Generation Three - Light Academia
Being raised by someone who’s lifelong mission was to find a supernatural creature was surprisingly not as chaotic as it would sound, though you still prefer to stay more…grounded. While your parents were out hunting, you preferred to keep your head in the books, earning a scholarship to get into University.
Requirements: The Perfect Student
Get on honor roll as a child/teen
Earn a scholarship in any subject
Buy the bookstore
Suggested Traits: Socially Awkward, Workaholic, Perfectionist, Bookworm
Color: Beige
Generation Four - Fairycore
Your grandmother always told you about her times with her unicorn friend, and while you never quite believed her, you fell in love with the idea of supernatural creatures altogether. Magic, fairies, it all sounds so fantastical that you even begin trying to figure out if you can turn yourself into a magical creature!
Requirements: Alchemy Artisan
Reach level 10 Alchemy
Visit the arboretum once a week to search for fairies
Befriend a fairy
Use an elixir to become a fairy
Suggested Traits: Supernatural Fan, Gatherer
Color: Pink
Generation Five - Comfy/Cozy
Life around magic has been a whirlwind, and you are anything but all that excitement. Having a grandparent who owns a bookstore has its perks, and you spend most of your time curled up with a good book and a warm cup of tea. Leaving your house to work doesn’t sound too appealing but you don’t have to go outside to write, do you?
Requirements: Professional Author
Join the bookclub
Visit the library at least 3 times a season
Reach level 10 Writing
Write a best selling novel
Suggested Traits: Bookworm, Couch Potato, Artistic
Color: Orange
Generation Six - Decora
You always get asked how you turned out so outgoing when you were raised by homebodies, and you never have an answer for that. You just love being around people, and more importantly dressing those people up. You want to fill as many peoples lives with as much color as possible.
Requirements: Fashion Phenomenon
Change your outfit every season
Reach level 10 Painting
Makeover at least 10 sims
Become best friends with one of your clients
Suggested Traits: Charismatic, Artistic, Excitable
Color: Magenta
Generation Seven - Jamcore
You love color just as much as your parents, but not so much the fashion part. Your clothes get way too messy as you experiment in the kitchen, after all. Creating yummy, colorful dishes are where your passions lie and you are determined to learn as much about the culinary arts as you possibly can.
Requirements: The Culinary Librarian
Cook meals for your family every day
Grow a fruit orchard on the family farm
Have a personal recipe library
(Optional) Use the Grandma’s Canning Station once a week
Suggested Traits: Natural Cook, Bookworm
Color: Yellow
Generation Eight - Nautical
See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls ye. You’ve always been drawn to the water, so much so that your family jokes that you might be a mermaid. Swimming, fishing, boating, it all appeals to you. You’d live on a houseboat, if given the chance.
Requirements: Presenting the Perfect Aquarium
Own a boat
Install a pond on your family land
Move into a houseboat
Reach level 10 Fishing
Suggested Traits: Loves to Swim, Angler
Color: Blue

Mushy May in Lucifer's Hollow: Day 17 - Funny T-Shirts
Ifrit x Zephyr
This fic is set in an alternate universe in a town called Lucifer's Hollow. It's sort of like a Satanic version of a Hallmark town. For Mushy May I'll be using the prompts to post little snippets of life for the humans and ghouls that live there 💙 Thank you to @forlorn-crows for putting Mushy May together!
~ In Lucifer's Hollow Ifrit owns a used bookstore called Bookworm and Zephyr runs a coffee shop called The Den ~
Warnings: none, sfw, 400 words (thank you to @ghuleh-recs for the dividers!)
Looking back on it now everything made sense.
Zephyr would be the first one to admit he wasn’t really good at reading people. It wasn’t ideal, especially considering he owned and ran a coffee shop, but honestly he felt like it was better sometimes not being able to pick up on someone being rude to him. Thankfully that was a rare occurrence in Lucifer’s Hollow. Generally the only rude customers were those from out of town.
Ifrit snorted in his sleep next to him, rolling over and slinging an arm across Zephyr’s chest. He turned to peer at the fire ghoul, covering his clawed hand with one of his own. His warm skin always felt so good against his own. He let his hand move further up, his claws lightly tracing the muscles twitching under Ifrit’s skin. Zephyr didn’t stop until he reached the edge of his t-shirt, the worn fabric pulled tight across his bicep.
He knew this shirt well since it was the same one Ifrit wore every day at his bookstore, Bookworm. This one in particular, the one that was now just reserved for sleeping or working around the house, was special to them both. Zephyr leaned back slightly, just enough so the dim light from the lamp on his nightstand highlighted the faded print on the front.
Would you still love me if I was a Bookworm?
It had taken months, and a few blunt words from Aurora, for him to realize Ifrit had been flirting with him. Months of Ifrit visiting his shop, The Den, daily. Of little jokes, teasing glances and sweet compliments. He felt like such an idiot now, thinking that Ifrit was just being friendly. That he probably acted like that with everyone. And while Ifrit could be a flirt, he had a particular smile that Zephyr only saw when he was looking at him.
His boyfriend muttered something under his breath and Zephyr shushed him, swiping a cool hand across his forehead and into his hair. Ifrit sighed and relaxed again, rubbing his face against his shoulder. Zephyr smiled when he felt his tail wrap around his leg, an intimate gesture he never had gotten to experience before now. He pulled back just enough to read Ifrit’s shirt again, unable to stop himself from grinning like an idiot.
“Yes.” He scooted closer to the fire ghoul, relishing the warmth his body gave off. A whispered prayer to Lucifer began to fall from his lips, the Ghoulish coming to him easily even after not using it for years. “Always.”
If you'd like to be added/removed from the tag list (or if I accidentally left your name off) of this fic or any of my others please leave a comment or send me a dm! Thank you 💙

here, have a disney princess list (INSPIRED BY ROSE):
mulan (forever fave since childhood, gnc icon who saved china and ended up with the hot bi general, what's NOT to love? a legend in every sense of the word.)
jasmine (beautiful, badass, tells it like it is, always there for her loved ones, takes zero shit and i love her for it.)
ariel (loved her as a kid, had mixed feelings about her as a teen because of bad disney princess discourse, really love and appreciate her now.)
belle ("I WANT MUCH MORE THAN THIS PROVINCIAL LIFE..." me too, babe. what can i say about belle that hasn't been said already? as a fellow bookworm and monsterlover, i salute her.)
snow white (the sweetest angel who's actually hilarious and gets waaay too much hate.)
tiana/cinderella tie (I COULDN'T CHOOSE BETWEEN THEM HONESTLY, they're both really brave, amazing, and inspiring and also i kinda ship it...)
moana (she rocks and she saved the day with the power of love and her "i want" song is one of my favorites.)
rapunzel (she's adorable and funny but i didn't really fall in love with tangled like a lot of folks did...)
aurora (stunning design, incredible voice, doesn't have a lot of screentime but leaves a big impact nevertheless and her relationship with the good fairies is really heartwarming.)
pocahontas (it's complicated, folks. on her own, she's a great character with an amazing voice and some epic musical numbers but knowing the actual history of matoaka is...yeahhh, they really should've given her a different name as well as the other characters. the story's already completely fictionalized anyway.)
merida (she's neat and she has a really cool design and i love her relationship with her mom but it's another case where i like the character but i'm not too wild about the movie.)
raya (i only saw her movie once and found it pretty mediocre but she had a lot of potential, i liked her relationship with her dad, and she had good chemistry with namaari but unfortunately, disney was too cowardly to do anything with that so...)
